Chapter 9
Knowhere
"What is that?" Quill asked as he stared at the giant head of a celestial.
"It's called Knowhere. It is the severed head of an ancient celestial being," Gamora explained. "Be wary headed in Rocket. There are no regulations whatsoever here."
Rocket piloted the ship through one of the empty eye sockets into what looked like a lively space port.
"Are they mining this thing?" Quill asked.
"Yes. Hundreds of years ago the Tivan Group sent workers in to mine the organic matter within the skull. Bone, brain tissue, spinal fluid are all rare resources which are all highly valued in black markets across the galaxy," Gamora explained. "It's dangerous and illegal work suitable only for outlaws."
By this time the ship had landed and the group was walking through the crowded streets. A group of children came running up and asked if Peter's group could spare any units.
"Watch your wallets," Quill warned.
"Sure," Peter said as he distributed a hundred units to each.
Gamora looked at him appraisingly. One of the children tried to lift Peter's wallet but found they couldn't get into his pocket. He was telekinetically holding it closed.
"This is where your buyer is at?" Rocket asked skeptically when he saw the bar they were heading towards.
"His representative will meet us here," Gamora answered.
Quill, Rocket, Groot, and Drax did a little Orloni gambling. Gamora was standing outside on a balcony. Peter joined her.
"A beautiful sight isn't it," Peter said as he looked at the surrounding stars.
"It is," Gamora agreed. "My connection is making us wait."
"It's probably just a negotiation tactic. You and I have the same goal you know?" Peter said.
"And what is that? I highly doubt you understand my goal in life," Gamora said.
"To see Thanos dead. I understand he killed your parents in front of you when he took your world," Peter said.
"How could you know that? Right. Telepath," Gamora said.
"No. I know things. It is part of what I do," Peter replied.
"Did you know Thanos plans to destroy all of Xandar for Ronan in exchange for the orb?" Gamora asked.
"Yes. Quite the pair of genocidal maniacs aren't they," Peter said. "I have a feeling Ronan will get what is coming to him very soon. It might take Thanos a little longer. But eventually even he will fall. Is there anything you like to do for fun in your spare time?"
"I do not have much spare time," Gamora answered.
"So, we need to introduce you to some hobbies," Peter mused. "Well shit," He added as he noticed a brawl going on inside.
Peter walked into the bar to break up the fight going on between Groot, Drax, and Rocket. Quill had been trying to break it up. Peter simply telekinetically separated the trio.
"He speaks of what he knows nothing about," Drax declared.
"That is true," Rocket agreed.
"You lot need to cool off," Peter said. "There will be no harming each other."
Peter laced his words with a little telepathically induced calmness. A pink skinned alien female entered the room at that moment.
"My lady Gamora. I'm here to fetch you for my master," Carina, Tivan the Collector's assistant, said.
She gestured for the group to follow her. Carina led the group into a massive structure with all manor of strangeness.
"This isn't creepy at all," Rocket said sarcastically.
"We house the galaxy's largest collection of fauna, relics, and species of all manner," Carina explained. When they reached a certain point she said, "I present to you Taneleer Tiva, the Collector."
Tivan was a white-haired alien with strange glasses on his face. He removed the glasses and approached Gamora.
"Oh my dear Gamora. How wonderful to meet in the flesh," Tivan said as he kissed the back of her hand.
"Let's bypass the formalities Tivan. We have what we discussed," Gamora said.
"What is that thing there?" Tivan asked while looking at Groot.
"I am Groot," Groot answered.
"I never thought I'd meet a Groot," Tivan said. "Sir, you must allow me to pay you now so that I may own your carcass. At the moment of your death of course."
"Well that's weird as fuck," Peter said. "You'll get on with your current business or I will immolate you on the spot," He said as his eyes glowed with power.
"What are you?" Tivan asked as he sensed a measure of Peter's power.
"Someone you do not wish to fuck with," Peter promised.
"Very well," Tivan agreed. Quill produced the orb containing the fake infinity gem. Tivan placed it in a device. "Before creation itself there were six singularities." A hologram was projected above the device. "Then the universe exploded into existence and the remnants of these systems were forged into concentrated ingots. Infinity stones. These stones, it seems can only be brandished by beings of extraordinary strength." The hologram showed the story Tivan was telling. "Observe," He added. The hologram showed a celestial with an infinity stone in a massive staff. "These carriers can use the stone to mow down entire civilizations like wheat in a field."
"There's a little pee coming out of me right now," Quill said causing Peter to chuckle.
Peter liked Quill. The guy was just funny. Another hologram took over.
"Once, for a moment, a group was able to share the energy amongst themselves. But even they were quickly destroyed by it. Beautiful," Tivan said as he gestured at the revealed power stone fake. "Beyond compare."
"That is great. Now about our payment," Rocket said.
"How would you like to be paid?" Tivan asked.
"Units," Rocket replied.
"Very well then," Tivan said as he opened a drawer.
At this point Carina would have approached the infinity stone in canon. Peter telepathically held her in place. Tivan made the transfer to an account for each of them.
"I will no longer be your slave," Carina said the moment she was telepathically released.
Carina rushed forward and grabbed the infinity stone fake. Bursts of energy began shooting off the stone. Peter allowed his iron spider suit to flow over him and protected Gamora behind his body. He telekinetically shielded all of the Guardians as he got them further from the stone. Carina screamed. And then she exploded. Tivan was knocked unconscious.
"Well that was tough to shield from," Peter said while breathing heavily and allowing the telekinetic shield to fall.
"You saved our lives," Gamora said even as she rushed back in and grabbed the stone which she locked back in the orb. "We have to bring that stone to the Nova Corps. I don't trust anyone else with the stone. We can't let Ronan get it."
"And that is when Ronan shows up," Peter mused as a bunch of Ronan's small ships flew up to the group.
"At least I shall meet my foe and destroy them," Drax said with a crazed laugh and holding up two knives.
"Of course it was Drax who called Ronan," Quill said incredulously.
"Quill, don't you move boy," Yondu called as he came onto the scene.
"Ronan the Accuser," Drax called when Ronan walked off one of the landed ships followed by Gamora's adopted sister Nebula.
"You are the one who transmitted the message," Ronan said.
"You killed my wife. You killed my daughter," Drax replied.
Gamora got in one of the mining craft and took off.
"It is Gamora. She is escaping with the orb," Nebula announced.
Ronan scoffed at Drax before turning to walk back to his ship. Drax attacked. Events happened much like Peter remembered from the movie accept that he personally flew up and began destroying Ronan's small ships using telekinesis. He didn't do it very fast intentionally. He made it seem like it was a struggle for him to lance through the ships with spears of telekinetic force.
Eventually Nebula managed to chase down Gamora in the space outside of Knowhere. Peter waited for Nebula to retrieve the orb before he flew in and surrounded Gamora in a telekinetic bubble of air. He then portaled her back to the Milano to the same room where they had sex earlier. Gamora was only alive because of body modifications done to her by Thanos. These mods weren't as apparent as those done to Nebula. But they were still there. She slowly opened her eyes.
"Where am I? What happened?" Gamora asked before she recognized the room. "We are on the ship."
"Your mining pod was destroyed," Peter explained. "Nebula took the orb."
"You saved me?" Gamora asked.
"I did," Peter confirmed.
Gamora reached up and threaded her fingers through the hair on the back of his head before gently pulling him down for a kiss. The kiss turned heated.
Smut Scene Redacted (See Author's Note at End)
"That was beyond anything I have experienced," Gamora whispered as she turned her head to look at him before lightly kissing him.
"It was pretty amazing," Peter said.
"The ship is moving," Gamora said with realization.
"I used some of my tech to contact Rocket. We're on our way to Xandar. We have a little time yet," Peter assured.
"Let's make the most of it," Gamora said.
Peter wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against his chest. The two cuddled for a little while until Gamora initiated a repeat performance that would classify as a quickie.

Xandar
The Dark Aster, Ronan's ship, came flying down through the atmosphere. The Milano hung in its path. Peter twisted his hand and a large portal opened up behind the Milano. Fifty ships piloted by AIs about three-quarters the size of the Milano came out of the portal. These drone ships were nothing but sublight engines, shields, and weapons. There was nothing that allowed them to travel faster than light and no life support. They were meant for combatting enemy space fleets. Immediately the drones opened up on the Dark Aster causing the kree ship's shields to flare into visibility.
"Hell yeah," Rocket cried when he saw the punch the drone ships packed.
The Milano dove beneath the forward shield to the underbelly of the Dark Aster. Over one hundred smaller craft disgorged from the front of the Dark Aster. Hundreds of Nova Corps ships soon joined the fight. Meanwhile Peter gestured at the Dark Aster's underbelly. A section of the Dark Aster's underbelly big enough for the Milano to fit through was torn out under Peter's telekinetic assault. The other guardians were staring at him wide eyed. Quill flew the Milano into the newly made hole. He killed as many Sakaaran soldiers as he could before the Milano came to a stop.
It was dark when the Guardians minus Rocket exited the Milano. Groot released glowing seedlings into the air.
"When did you learn to do that?" Drax asked.
"Your species is truly amazing," Peter said. "I can see why Tivan was so happy to meet you."
"I am Groot," Groot said.
"I want you all to know that I am grateful for your acceptance after my blunders. It is pleasing to once again have friends," Drax said. "You Quill are my friend. You Parker are my friend. This dumb tree he is my friend. And this green whore, she, too…"
"Oh you must stop," Gamora interrupted.
Peter and Quill exchanged a somewhat amused glance. It was that moment when Nebula dropped out of a hiding place in their path.
"Gamora, look at what you have done. You have always been weak. You stupid, traitorous," Nebula said before Drax blasted her with a shoulder mounted energy weapon Rocket provided him.
"Nobody talks to my friends like that," Drax declared.
"Head to the flight deck. I'll shut down the power to the security doors," Gamora said.
"I've got her back covered," Peter said.
The others ran off.
"You do a pretty good job covering my back," Gamora said with an amused smile while glancing over her shoulder and meeting his gaze.
Peter detected a distinct sway to her hips as she jogged on ahead. His eyes couldn't help but focus on her delicious rear.
Gamora felt very comforted by the fact that her lover had stuck with her. She hadn't expected it. But she could tell he was very protective. The power he had displayed already during their journeys together suggested he was incredibly formidable. She felt his gaze on her rump. If they survived this battle, she decided she would give it up again as a reward. The thought of the last time she had given him her ass not long before brought heat smoldering into her core.
Nebula had so many cybernetic body modifications at this point from Thanos that she was considered a cyborg. She finished putting herself back together from the weapons fire Drax had hit her with just as Peter and Gamora reached where she had landed. Nebula landed right near where Gamora needed to disable power to the security doors.
"Nebula please," Gamora implored.
Nebula charged towards Gamora. Peter gestured with his fingers for effect like he was flicking away a piece of dust. Nebula went flying into a wall and was telekinetically pinned there.
"Go ahead and disable the security doors," Peter urged.
While Gamora was doing that Peter began searching Nebula's mind for any knowledge of use. He telepathically located all the pertinent information on Thanos. This included all of Thanos' minions and information on Thanos' operations. Peter's technology was likewise ravaging the databanks of the Dark Aster for any technology information he may find useful. There was so much good information on Kree technology and the disposition of their fleet.
Meanwhile outside the Dark Aster, the Kree ship was breaking through the Nova Corps blockade. The Dark Aster had taken a heavy beating from the drone ships Peter had sent through. But even those had been destroyed by the numbers of the Sakaaran fighters. The Dark Aster had paid for the drone ships being destroyed. There were no more Sakaaran craft in the air and the Dark Aster had many holes in it. Despite this it had pushed through the Nova Corps blockade.
Peter and Gamora rejoined their teammates on the bridge just as Quill fired Rocket's weapon at Ronan. The destructive force of Rocket's creation was immense. But when the cloud from the explosion had cleared Ronan stood tall once more. He sent a wave of power out from his accuser hammer where the fake infinity stone was embedded. Peter's telekinetic shield over the Guardians was the only thing that prevented them from being tossed back like rag dolls. Peter telekinetically got his teammates out of the way as Rocket crashed a ship very much of the same class as the Milano into the bridge. The Dark Aster bridge was destroyed enough that the ship started to go down. Peter retrieved Rocket from the cockpit telekinetically and then floated the entire team out of the falling Dark Aster.
"Well that's handy," Rocket said as he woke up and realized they were slowly floating down to the ground.
They all watched as the Dark Aster crashed into the city below. Peter guided them down into the wreckage. Many Xandarians in the immediate vicinity who had survived the impact were there to see the Guardians land. Ronan came walking out of the rubble glowing accuser hammer in hand.
"Behold, your Guardians of the Galaxy," Ronan called.
"I'd say we are looking pretty good Ronan. You on the other hand are down one ship," Peter quipped.
"It matters not. My father and his father will finally know vengeance. People of Xander, the time has come to rejoice and renounce your paltry gods! Your salvation is at hand," Ronan said as he prepared to strike the butt of his hammer down on the ground and kill all on Xandar.
"Yo, ass nugget," Rocket called. "You talk too much."
Drax fired Rocket's weapon again, this time at the hammer. The hammer was shattered. Peter telekinetically summoned the fake infinity stone to his hand. Peter's team had been studying the infinity stones in their possession for some time. Peter did not fully understand how to use his celestial body to its fullest extent. But he knew enough to be able to survive this. Gamora grabbed his hand showing she would help. Quill grabbed Peter's other hand. Drax grabbed Quill's hand. Groot grabbed Gamora's other hand. And Rocket grabbed Groot's hand. Peter and Quill's eyes began to glow while lines of power appeared on the bodies of the others.
"You're mortal. How?" Ronan demanded as he realized they had mastered the power of the infinity stone.
"Whoever said we were mortal? That was an assumption on your part bub," Peter responded.
Peter focused and a beam of power shot from his eyes and struck Ronan. Ronan was destroyed within seconds. Gamora slammed one of the containment orbs she had brought with her around the stone. The cloud of power around them dissipated.

The people of Xandar were very grateful. The Guardians of the Galaxy were heroes to their people. They had rebuilt the Milano with some upgrades and provided five more of the same craft.

Terra, Montana
"Everyone needs a little place to call home," Peter said to the Guardians. "This small town I built will be our place to call home. Each of you can pick out a house."
Their ships were parked outside the town. The town was remote which Peter and Tony had purchased and ordered built. SHIELD would make sure there was no trouble with the starships coming and going.
"Thank you Parker," Drax said. "It makes me wish my wife and daughter were still with me."
"I have more presents," Peter said.
That was their que. Drax's wife Ovette and daughter Drua walked out of one house. Gamora's mother and father Gana and Gorn walked out of another house. A very obviously female sentient racoon walked out of another house. Quill's mother looking healthy walked out of another house.
"Rocket. Let me introduce Roxxy. I think you two will get along nicely," Peter said. "Oh and I took care of that short lifespan thing. You may not have realized it. But you woke up this morning in a different genetically engineered body that will live at least a thousand years. Roxxy shares the same benefit."
"Mom," Quill said with tears in his eyes.
"How is this possible? I watched you die before my eyes," Gamora said to her parents.
"Your lover is very powerful Gamora," Gana told her daughter while looking to Peter.
Everyone looked to Peter.
"Thank you Peter Parker," Drax said with tears in his eyes, his arms wrapped around his wife and daughter.
"Yes. Thank you," Gamora said. Gamora directed her thoughts at her lover saying, "You have earned a big thank you in private later."

"You wanted to talk?" Quill asked as he entered the Park house in Guardian village, what they were calling the town.
"Did your mom answer your questions about your dad?" Peter asked.
"Sort of. She knew he was an alien but not what type. She described some of his powers. It isn't something I've really heard of before," Quill explained.
"Your father was a celestial named Ego," Peter explained. "It's a long story which I will explain momentarily. What you need to know is that part of my knowing things I have no business knowing conventionally is that I knew about your heritage years ago. I collected a blood sample from you. This body is genetically engineered to incorporate your celestial DNA into it. So, think of me like a brother."
"That's kind of messed up," Peter admitted. "But I can't really be pissed because you gave me my mom back."
Peter shrugged and said, "You'll understand why I did it when we get the hang of celestial powers."
"And how do we go about that?" Quill asked.
"I have an idea. Have you ever heard of Eternals?" Peter asked.

Parker House
Gamora entered the Parker house in Guardian village. The biometric locks let her in. She shed clothes as she went. She was naked by the time she reached Peter's bedroom where she found him standing before the window looking introspective as he beheld the village he had created.
"Are your parents getting settled in alright?" Peter asked.
"They are doing well. I'm so happy for them to be here. Them being the age they are will take some getting used to," Gamora said as she took his hand. They were silent as they stood there staring out over the village. She broke the silence saying, "I have a debt to you that I can never hope to repay. But I intend to try. I am yours sexually any way you want for as long as you want any time you want."
"I like the sound of that," Peter said with a grin before he kissed her.
They didn't leave that bedroom for quite some time.

"Hello Sersi," Peter greeted as he sat down across from her at the café she was eating lunch at. "Do you mind if I join you?"
"Peter Parker," Sersi said with surprise, easily recognizing the Avenger. "Why on Earth would you want to join me?"
"Don't play dumb. It is unbecoming for an Eternal," Peter said.
Sersi looked around for a moment perhaps looking to see if there were other Avengers around.
"How do you know about us? We've been pretty low key for the past couple of centuries," Sersi pointed out.
"You have. But one of my abilities is that I know things that I shouldn't. Think of it like extra sensory perception. Tell me, do you know why Ikaris really left?" Peter asked.
Sersi let out a startled gasp and said, "No I do not. But I would love to know."
"It's because Ajak revealed to him the secret truth behind your existence and the secret truth of your mission on Earth. Ikaris knew it would break your heart and he couldn't stand to do that by telling you," Peter explained.
With her brows knitted in confusion Sersi replied, "So he broke my heart by leaving me instead?"
"I didn't say his decision was a good one," Peter said.
"So what is this secret truth?" Sersi asked.
"Promise me that you will help me learn to control my celestial abilities no matter what it requires," Peter said. "And in exchange I will tell you."
Sersi let out another gasp of shock and said, "You are a celestial?"
"Yes. But I am a newly made celestial. I do not know how to control my abilities. I suspect I need to build up a certain level of the power cosmic before my abilities are easier to learn. You are a source of the power cosmic," Peter explained.
Sersi knew there were more types of celestials than just the kind bigger than planets such as Arishem who had sent them on this mission.
"You would be better served going to see Ajak. She knows far more about celestials than I," Sersi suggested.
"You're familiar with the sorcerers here on Earth," Peter said which earned a nod from Sersi. "I have access to their abilities. I know of a spell which allows energy transfer from one being to another. But it involves willing sex between those two beings. You will be able to charge me up until I have enough juice to work with my celestial abilities. I will probably slowly build up energy until I can do it. But this will be much faster. We don't have the kind of time for me to wait naturally."
"So you are asking me to have sex with you?" Sersi clarified.
Sersi would admit that such a task wouldn't exactly be a hardship. She was immensely attracted to Peter Parker. She was not immune to his pheromones despite being a celestial. Arishem had made the Eternals very compatible with the humanoid species.
"On a very regular basis," Peter confirmed.
"Alright. I'll do it. Now tell me this big secret," Sersi said.
"This is going to be hard to here and we should go some place with a holographic projector so that I can show you my memories of what I've seen," Peter said as he stood and opened a portal.
Sersi followed Peter through to his Malibu house. This house was where his Aunt May stayed. She was not home at the moment. Peter didn't spend as much time here as Avengers tower. They appeared in the living room. Peter activated the holographic projector.
"First of all, there is no Olympia. That is a lie created by Arishem. Arishem created the Eternals in a construct he calls the world forge," Peter explained as the hologram showed all of this. "The process of creating the celestials like Arishem involves incubating celestial seeds inside of planets with sentient life. The celestials grow and slowly leach off little bits of life force of the inhabitants until they are ready to be born in an event Arishem calls the Emergence. An Emergence is violent and results in the destruction of the host planet. Naturally all life on that planet is destroyed," Peter explained.
Sersi was staring at the hologram in horror. He paused letting her digest this information.
"Where do Eternals and Deviants come into this?" Sersi asked after some time processing this information.
"Arishem created the deviants to go in and kill off the native species that would prevent sentient lifeforms from living on the host planet. The deviants evolved beyond Arishem's control and started killing the sentient life. Arishem created Eternals to kill the Deviants. He did it with the intention of preventing the Eternals from evolving at all. But he failed in that regard. You currently have never been able to change a living being with your power. I'm here to tell you that you are capable of doing so," Peter explained.
"This is a lot to take in," Sersi said. "My whole existence is a lie. I'm not even real. I'm some kind of automaton."
"Listen, the technology of celestials is so far beyond what humanity and most alien cultures are capable of that as far as I'm concerned you are every bit as real as a flesh and blood human. So what if you were artificially created. Your mind and consciousness are beyond any AI that I've ever encountered," Peter explained. "I gained access to the celestial technology that Apocalypse had possession of and have been studying it ever since."
"So you're the one who finally killed him," Sersi said. "I had heard something happened to him. But I didn't know what. We Eternals fell into conflict with him throughout the ages."
"Yep. That was me," Peter said. "There is more."
"Tell me," Sersi requested.
"It would be easier to show you," Peter said.
Peter sat back on the couch and proceeded to play the later half of the Eternals movie from the 2021 of his universe. Sersi sat next to him. He wrapped his arm around her comfortingly when she cried as she watched Ikaris kill Ajak. She was again in tears when she saw Gilgamesh die. When Sprite stabbed her in the back, literally she was upset yet more angry this time. Watching herself kill a newborn celestial was even harder. Then Ikaris flying into the sun was too much for her and she had to stop watching.
"Why couldn't he just try our plan. It looked like Druig would have succeeded if Ikaris hadn't attacked him," Sersi said.
"I believe he would have," Peter agreed. "Ikaris is loyal to a fault."
"We have to stop that future," Sersi said. "Do you have any ideas how?"
"Some ideas yes. In a few years Thanos, the mad Titan, will attack Earth trying to get the infinity stones. He will succeed in wiping out half of all life in the universe without intervention," Peter explained causing Sersi's tear-filled eyes to widen further. "The heroes of Earth will eventually bring back lost half of all life in the universe. But that temporary loss of life delayed the emergence. If succeed in stopping Thanos we will have even less time than 7 years to succeed. My plan is to get Tiamut out of Earth's core without destroying the planet. If that fails I plan to open portals for everyone on Earth in the major cities and even minor towns to get off Earth. I will have people in rural areas travel to the nearest portal," Peter explained. "I suspect and I'm hoping Ajak can confirm this theory that a celestials sucks an immense amount of energy out of the planet itself during the birthing process. I believe that is where the destruction comes from along with the shear amount of destruction from something so large evacuating the planet's core."
"So we would have to provide that energy as well as fill in the lost matter from the planet's core and if we can bypass them breaking through the crust. I assume your portals come into play here somewhere?" Sersi asked.
"Yes. I don't think I can open a portal below the surface of the Earth like that without losing too much matter anyway. I am hoping to either learn better control of the portals before this needs to happen or use the infinity stones to transport Tiamut out," Peter explained.
"You intend to gather the infinity stones yourself," Sersi said with raised eyebrows.
"I do. I am already well on my way," Peter answered.
"You are ambitious. But as a celestial you can survive using them unharmed I would assume," Sersi said. The two were quiet for a time as Sersi thought things over. "I will help you even though this is a lot even for a celestial. You are only one celestial after all."
"There is another like me. His name is Peter Quill. But I just think of him as Quill because have the same first name. He also needs charged up," Peter explained.
"I do not think I have it in me to charge up two celestials. I will be lucky to make it work with one. I'm not sure if you understand just how much more energy celestials produce than we eternals," Sersi replied.
"I understand. You'd just be giving me a jump start," Peter said. "Besides, I was thinking about Thena for Quill."
"That could work. But she has Mahd Wy'ry," Sersi pointed out.
"I'm hoping that with my telepathy and celestial technology I can help her," Peter said.
"If you can and she is agreeable that could really work," Sersi said.
"I planned to have Quill provide the energy for Tiamut while I worked on getting him out of the planet and filling in the missing mass if the infinity stones can't just do this all outright," Peter explained.
The two fell silent as Sersi processed everything she had just learned. She broke the silence when she laid her hand on his inner thigh.
"I guess we had better get to charging you up," Sersi said.
"Not just yet," Peter said. "As much as I would like nothing better than to be inside of you right now, I want to explain some things that are going to make the charging process go smoother." Sersi nodded her agreement. "I will cast a spell on us that will form the energy transfer connection after my explanation. Sersi led the way out of the portal followed by her lover Peter and Quill.
"Sersi," Gilgamesh greeted as Peter shrunk down and disappeared. "Who are your friends?"
"Celestials," Sersi replied causing Gilgamesh's eyes to widen in surprise before looking at Peter cautiously. "I have a hell of a story to tell you."
A half hour later Thena and Peter joined Gilgamesh, Quill, and Sersi in the home Thena and Gilgamesh had been sharing.
"That is quite the stunning storing," Gilgamesh said. "Thena are you ok?"
"I feel better than I have since the 1500's," Thena admitted. "Thank you for watching over me."
"You talk as if you are leaving," Gilgamesh noted.
"I am," Thena said. "While Peter was telepathically fixing my mind he saved the time and just showed me the conversation he had with you about his plan," She said while looking to Sersi. "I want to help."
"Well alright then," Sersi said. "Thena, this is Peter Quill. And this is Thena," Sersi introduced.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," Quill said as he took Thena's hand.
"Likewise," Thena said with a small smile. "I look forward to getting to know you a little better."
"What do you plan to do about Ikaris?" Gilgamesh asked.
"We haven't figured that out yet," Sersi admitted. "I do think showing Ajak her death at Ikaris' hands may help."
"I suggest we quietly contact the others excluding Sprite and let them know the reality we are facing. I can go about doing that if you would like," Gilgamesh offered.
"If you would please. I'll handle talking to Ajak," Sersi said.
"I suppose that means I should come with you to get better acquainted," Thena told Quill.
"That would probably be best," Quill agreed. "I'll show you where I live. There is plenty of room."
The group left Gilgamesh behind after giving him some contact information. Quill and Thena were sent through a portal to Guardian village. Peter took Sersi back to London where she lived. He would be introduced to Sprite as a boyfriend for now. They didn't want to tip Sprite or Ikaris off that things had changed. Sersi would go speak to Ajak at a later date when Peter and Quill had better control of their celestial abilities. Until then there would be a lot of charging up on the part of Sersi and Thena.
