Chapter 7
By the time, Ben and Ciara got to Gladys' house, it was destroyed. They looked at each other before they run into the house and go to the backyard.
"Are you sure that it's a good idea to go into the hedge?" Ben asked.
"Ben, we need to make sure that our new friends are safe. So, we're going," Ciara said as she went through the hedge and Ben followed her.
"Is everyone okay?" Ben asked.
"Lou? Penny? The kids here? Hammy?" RJ asked. Ciara walked next to Hammy with concern.
"Hammy, are you alright?" Ciara asked.
"Scary clown," Hammy replied. Ben and Ciara looked up and gasp while RJ and the others screamed as the bear came floating down with a clown balloon. The bear roared.
"Guys go!" Ciara shouted.
"Look out!" RJ said. They all ran out of the hedge and they saw Dwayne standing in front of them, holding an electrical taser. Then, Gladys kicked down the backyard door, grabbed a weed hacker, and charges at them.
"Oh, no," Ben said.
"A weed hacker, Verne. A weed hacker!" Hammy said.
"Run!" Ciara yelled as RJ and the others ran to the hedge before Dwayne could zap the animals.
"Show your little rat faces. Filthy creatures. Stay in the woods where you belong!" Gladys said as she uses the weed hacker.
"No! Don't hurt them!" Ciara shouted.
"Hey!" Dwayne said pointed his taser through the hedge and shocked the bear. He laughed and then the bear hit him, nearly knocked his glasses off. Ben and Ciara laughed.
"So, you guys wanna party, do you? Alright then, let's party!" Dwayne said as he uses the taser through the hedge.
"Penny, Lou, look out!" Ciara said.
"Get down!" Ben said.
"That's it! Verne, get everyone out of here and take them to Ciara. I'll distract him," RJ said.
"What?!" Ciara said.
"Are you crazy? He'll kill you," Verne exclaimed.
"Well, I'm the one he wants. Just take care of your family, Verne," RJ said.
"I intend too, the whole family," Verne said.
"There's got to be something we can do," Ben said.
"There's no time," RJ said.
Then, four fireflies lit up above RJ, Verne, Ciara, and Ben's heads like light bulbs.
"Hammy!" they said. RJ took out a can of Mach 6 Energy Drink: Now with More Caffeine, and then popped the top open.
"Ahhh…" Hammy exclaimed.
*OTH*
Ciara and Ben watched as the bear began to fall from the hedge and fell on top of Dwayne and Gladys, which caused them to fall into the lasers. As the villains looked up, the Depelter Turbo activated.
"That's the…" Gladys began to say.
"The Depelter Turbo…" Dwayne finished her sentence, before wincing. "Prepare for a lot of stinging,"
Ben and Ciara put on sunglasses on their faces while RJ and the other animals put on their protective eye gear to protect themselves from the illegal animal trap.
After that, they take off their protective eye gear and they saw the bad guys were locked up in a cage together. They started cheering for their victory. Ben and Ciara hugged and congratulated the animals.
"Great job, guys, we did it," Ciara said.
"That was awesome, guys," Ben said.
"Come here, Hammy, come here," RJ said as he calls for the squirrel.
"You're a genius, Hammy," Ciara said as she and Ben pets Hammy on the head.
"Oh, thank you!" Hammy said before burping his last word, which sends him flying backwards.
"And Verne, don't you ever fix this shell," RJ said to Verne.
"Yeah, glad it's working for ya," Verne smiled before narrowing his eyes in annoyance. "Take it off, give it back,"
"Oh, come on, Verne. Can RJ just wear it for five more minutes? [1]" Ciara asked.
"Alright, five more minutes. He needs to give it back after that," Verne said.
Ciara cheered while Ben shakes his head. He gently grabs her hand.
"Come on, Ciara," he said.
"Ben, where are we going?" Ciara asked.
"Well, we're going to see your aunt getting arrested and I want the front row seats when we get there,"
"Oh, right. Let's go,"
Author's Note: I came up with it because after watching Over the Hedge, because I thought it would be fun if that was added to the movie
