I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here, the story advances further as Doctor Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members find themselves getting into a situation where they are being confronted by the Illuminati…and that this group appeared to be hostile towards Strange…but something UNEXPECTED is about to happen…right this moment…

Ch. 37: Iruminati to no deai part 7
The scene shows that Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members are staring in disbelief, seeing that Meliodas' antics are causing quite a disturbance as the Illuminati members are beating up a hapless Loki for the supposed INSULTS, unaware of the fact that it was Meliodas who made the prank, and while this do bought them some time, Strange and the others realized that they need to make their move as the threat of the Scarlet Witch is looming and if she managed to find this place it would result in an unwanted disaster.
"DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU!"
"I REALLY HATE YOU!"
"YOU HAVE THE GALL TO INSULT US…THE ALL-MIGHTY ILLUMINATI!"
"I told you I didn't say that!"
"TAKE THIS! AND THAT!"
"HAVE A DOSE OF MY PHOTON BLAST!"
"AND HERE'S MY STRETCHABLE PUNCH!"
"Ow-ow-ow! Stop hitting me, you damn mortals!"
Meliodas snickered as he finds this entertaining, but Strange wasn't amused, and he grabbed the Nanatsu no Taizai leader by his collar and discreetly urged him to stop this annoying tactics at once as he reminded Meliodas that the threat by the Scarlet Witch is still possible and they got to find a way to convince the Illuminati members of the situation at hand.
"Meliodas..."
"What? Hey, I'm just helping…"
"You you should stop right here…"
"Come on…I'm just…"
"We got bigger problems…and we can't afford to stall, so knock it off already."
"Uh…"
"Behave yourself. I will try to state my case."
"Okay…"
Unbeknownst to Strange and Meliodas, Xavier was observing the events and deduced that Meliodas caused the current situation, but he also secretly uses his telepathy to probe their minds, and there he made a discovery and decided to take a course of action before things escalate out of control.
Xavier uses his telepathy and urged his fellow Illuminati members to calm down and said that he has something to say, which Mordo, Rambeau, Carter and Richards reluctantly ceased their assault, and went back to their seats while Loki was shown having more bruises and more LUMPS on his head and forehead.
There Xavier said that he secretly probed the minds of the prisoners and found out that the Doctor Strange standing before them is different from their own, which Xavier said that Strange here is not like the Strange in this universe, hence it is safe to tell that the Strange right now is not malevolent and power-hungry.
Mordo stared in disbelief and asked Xavier if he is sure, which the latter nodded and said that he has already probed Strange's mind and found out that he is responsible enough, and that Strange's claim about the Scarlet Witch is true and said that if she managed to find this place, everyone here would be in danger.
"Are you absolutely sure about this?"
"Yes."
"But…but…"
"Its okay. I probed his mind. Strange here is different from the Strange in this universe."
"Are you certain about this?"
"Yes, Mordo. The Doctor Strange here can be trusted."
"But…but…"
"Trust me, Mordo."
Carter, Rambeau and Richards glanced at Xavier and they voiced their skepticism, but Xavier assured to them that he wasn't deceived when he probed Strange's mind, and there he used his telepathy to SHOW THEM what he found out about Strange, and the Illuminati members were in a state of disbelief after SEEING what Xavier told them.
However, this also caused Xavier to unintentionally reveal that the INSULTS that the Illuminati members got came from Meliodas, and they realize that Meliodas was the root cause, and they, with the exception of Black Bolt, charged towards Meliodas and began to beat him up, livid that Meliodas was the one who insulted them and not Loki.
"DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU! SO IT WAS YOU WHO INSULTED US!"
"I REALLY HATE YOU! YOU'RE SUCH A PERVERT!"
"YOU HAVE THE GALL TO INSULT US…THE ALL-MIGHTY ILLUMINATI! NOW THAT YOU'VE BEEN EXPOSED, YOU WILL NOW PAY THE PRICE!"
"Oof…ouch! Calm down…let's talk this over…!"
"TAKE THIS! AND THAT!"
"HAVE A DOSE OF MY PHOTON BLAST!"
"AND HERE'S MY STRETCHABLE PUNCH! DON'T YOU EVER INSULT MY WIFE AGAIN!"
"Ow-ow-ow!"
Xavier mentally sighed as he realized that he should have not showed them what Meliodas did, but he nevertheless urged his fellow Illuminati members to calm down, saying that right now they need to make some emergency measure to prepare themselves for the impending threat of the Scarlet Witch, which the Illuminati members reluctantly stopped their assault.
There you can see that Meliodas stood there sporting lots of bruises on his face and a BLACK EYE, and by then Xavier asked Strange if he is willing to help the Illuminati members deal with the Scarlet Witch, which Strange nodded, saying that he is more than willing if that is what is needed to stop her rampage.
Mordo questioned Xavier about this as he still do not trust Strange, and Xavier gently assured to him that Strange is not like the one they executed, hence he can be trusted, which Mordo is hesitant to agree as he still has reservation about this.
"Are you absolutely sure about this? Do I have to remind you that…"
"I know, but believe me. Strange here is not like the Strange we executed. He is different, that I can say."
"But…but…"
"Do not worry, Mordo. I probed his mind. Strange here is different from the Strange in this universe. He is responsible enough and has no selfish traits."
"Are you certain about this?"
"Yes, Mordo. The Doctor Strange here can be trusted."
"But…but…"
"Trust me, Mordo."
By then Palmer arrived and said that a visitor wished to see the person in charge, and there Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members are surprised to see that the visitor was none other than Thor himself, and there Thor greeted Strange and uses his powers to remove the restraints, freeing Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members.
As the Illuminati members are alarmed, Thor told Xavier that Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members' help are needed as he said that the Scarlet Witch is on her way here, and explained that by using a tracking device he placed on Strange's pocket, he is able to find this place, and said that whether the Illuminati members believe him or not is up to their discretion.
He then saw Loki, and seeing his bruised face, Thor was sure that his younger half-brother caused another ruckus and smacked him on the head, and the two Norse gods bicker amongst themselves as Loki insisted that he is innocent but Thor believed otherwise.
"Damn it, brother! Will you stop hitting me on the head?"
"Even in another multiverse you always caused trouble."
"I didn't do anything this time."
"Don't lie, Loki."
"But…"
"Once we settle the Scarlet Witch problem we're going home."
"Fine."
"Good."
After Palmer left and return to her post, Xavier probed Thor's mind and found out that Thor is telling the truth, and he told his fellow Illuminati members that they should prepare in putting up emergency measures in order to prepare themselves for the upcoming battle, which Mordo whispered to Xavier about letting Strange go, and Xavier assured to Mordo that Strange is different from the one they executed, and urged him to try get along with him.
"Try getting along with him."
"What? Are you out of your mind?"
"No, of course not."
"But…"
"I showed you the details using my telepathy. That should be enough to clear any doubts."
"You can't be serious…"
"I am."
"…"
Suddenly, the alarm was raised as a strong vibration shook the base, and there Strange realized that the Scarlet Witch has arrived, and there it hits him: Chavez is still in custody and realized that the Scarlet Witch is after Chavez, and there Strange tells Meliodas, Gowther, Ban and King to fetch the girls and get them away from here as he will try distracting the Scarlet Witch.
Meliodas asked Strange if he is sure about facing her alone, reminding that she appeared to be MAGICALLY stronger than before, but Strange assured to him that he will be careful and tells Meliodas and the other Nanatsu no Taizai members to go and evacuate Chavez, Diane and Elizabeth, which the boys nodded in acknowledgement.
"You boys fetch the girls and try to sneak your way out."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"I'll catch up with you later. For now leave without me and protect Chavez at all costs."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
As the four boys left, Strange MAGICALLY summoned his Cloak Of Levitation and amulet, though Mordo still doesn't trust Strange and asked him if he is not planning on escaping, which the latter pointed out that if he do, he already have left already, and Mordo twitched his eye seeing that Strange is telling the truth, but he tells Strange that he has his eye on him which Strange said Mordo is free to do so.
"I'm going to keep an eye on you."
"…"
"I still don't trust you. Never will."
"Fine. Do what you want."
"Huh?"
"What matters is that I have to subdue the Scarlet Witch before she do something damaging here."
"You…"
"You're free to stay and help or evacuate…"
Reluctantly, Mordo led Strange towards where the Scarlet Witch is detected, and once they arrived, Mordo is surprised as he could feel an immensely malevolent aura emanating from her, and he was momentarily spooked, but Strange encouraged him to face it as he uses his magic to MAGICALLY bind the Scarlet Witch.
Seeing this, a still-suspicious Mordo reluctantly team up with Strange as they tried to subdue her, but she appeared to be more than a match, as she was able to break free and fired fireballs, narrowly missing the two sorcerers, and there the Scarlet Witch demanded to Strange to hand over Chavez.
Strange guessed that she wanted Chavez because of her ability to enter and exit multiverses, and he tells her that she already left, though the Scarlet Witch doesn't believe him and fired another fireball which serves as a warning shot and demanded that he hand over Chavez, but Strange insisted that Chavez has already left, as in reality Chavez is still here and he is lying just to buy time for the Nanatsu no Taizai members to escape with Chavez.
"Sorry, Chavez already left. I'm stuck here as you can see…"
"Liar! I know she is here!"
"Actually…"
"Do not try to stall me! Where is that girl? Where is she?"
"She left my heart to San Francisco..."
"Don't you mock me!"
"Actually I was just…"
"Damn you!"
Getting impatient, the Scarlet Witch became agitated, and as Mordo confronted her, he MAGICALLY sensed something, and moments later he discovered something terrifying, and reluctantly tells Strange to fetch his comrades and flee, surprising Strange as he asked Mordo what is the matter, seeing that Mordo had a terrifying reaction, something he never seen before.
Mordo tells Strange to get his comrades and escape from this universe as able as possible, saying that the Scarlet Witch mustn't get her hands on Chavez, and while hesitant to explain why, Mordo said that Chavez plays a role on how to defeat her, and pleaded Strange to get going, even though Strange sensed that something happened that made Mordo act like that.
"As much as I hate saying this…get going! Protect that girl!"
"Mordo…"
"Find a way to defeat the Scarlet Witch! Something malevolent is at play!"
"What…?"
"The Illuminati will stall her…you take your comrades and go!"
"…fine…"
"Good! Now go!"
"Thanks!"
After that, Strange reluctantly did as told as he begin to escape from battle, and as the Scarlet Witch is about to stop him, Mordo struck her with a magical blast, telling her that she is not going anywhere and that she has to answer for the sudden intrusion that she made, which the Scarlet Witch is not too pleased, as she doesn't want to waste time.
She fired more hex blasts but Mordo countered it with his own, and the two are locked in an apparent stalemate as neither one are backing away, as Mordo tried to distract her by saying that Chavez has already left but the Scarlet Witch doesn't believe it as she can sense that her target is still here, and she intend to get her by hook or by crook.
"Sorry, you witch…that girl has already left. So stop causing trouble here…"
"Liar! I know she is here!"
"Get a life…"
"Do not try to stall me! Where is that girl? Where is she?"
"She already left…so stop harassing her…"
"Don't you mock me!"
"You got a problem…?"
"Damn you!"

Hope you liked this chapter, as Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members are able to buy time and convinced Xavier that they are not a threat…and things took a twist as Thor arrived, just as the Scarlet Witch came and started to wreck havoc here…
