I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here, the story advances further as Doctor Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members find themselves getting into a situation where they are being confronted by the Scarlet Witch…who is HELL-BENT to get her hands on SOMEONE…with Shuma-Gorath in tow…but something UNEXPECTED is about to happen…right this moment…

Ch. 40: Iruminati to no deai part 10
The scene shows that a confrontation is taking place where the Scarlet Witch confronts Doctor Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members, but in the ensuing situation Strange retrieves the Book of Vishanti. As the she prepares to attack them Strange began using the Book of Vishanti, and in doing so caused Shuma-Gorath to appear, surprising everyone, and there Strange realized that this is what Mordo meant about what he is trying to say earlier.
Seeing that time is of the essence, Strange asked Meliodas, King, Diane and Ban to stall Shuma-Gorath as he would try to free the Scarlet Witch from Shuma-Gorath's control, which the Nanatsu no Taizai members nodded in agreement, seeing what Strange has in mind, and agreed to his request as they can tell that he is going to save a life.
"Guys…can you help?"
"Okay!"
"Okay!"
"Okay!"
"Stall that ugly octopus until I manage to find a spell and get that ugly octopus out of here…"
"Okay!"
"Okay!"
"Okay!"
However, Shuma-Gorath was not amused and commanded the Scarlet Witch to kill the meddlers and take Chavez, which the Scarlet Witch nodded in obedience, showing that she is under Shuma-Gorath's influence.
"Kill them! Kill them all!"
"Yes…"
"But spare that girl! We need her alive!"
"Yes…"
"That I command!"
"Yes…"
"Do it!"
"Yes…"
As the Scarlet Witch is ready to attack her targets, Thor showed up and grapple onto her, urging her to come to her senses but it is shown that Shuma-Gorath has a rather strong mental hold on her, hence the Scarlet Witch paid no attention towards Thor as she tries to push him aside whilst trying to reach out to Chavez, who is hiding behind Strange as he is attempting to use the Book Of Vishanti.
"Wanda! Snap out of it!"
"Out of my way!"
"You're being used!"
"Silence! I must have that girl!"
"Nothing good will happen! Fight it!"
"Let me go!"
"Wanda!"
"Let me go this instant!"
Meanwhile, Ban, King and Diane are trying to fight off Shuma-Gorath, but had difficulty in getting closer to him as the entity kept them back using several blasts of energy, and yet the three Nanatsu no Taizai members persisted as they are trying to stall the enemy to provide Strange some time to come up with a way to defeat Shuma-Gorath and free the Scarlet Witch.
"Keep going! We can't give up!"
"We're trying!"
"That one-eyed octopus is so tough!"
"We can do this!"
"Meliodas is right! We're the Nanatsu no Taizai! We can overcome anything!"
"You're right!"
"Good! Press up the attack!"
"Okay!"
"Okay!"
As Meliodas is looking for an opening to make a surprise attack on Shuma-Gorath, Loki is glancing at the Scarlet Witch, and then at Shuma-Gorath, and there Thor is seen being tossed to the ground, and as the Thunder God gets up, he noticed his half-brother smirking as he is staring at the Scarlet Witch, and Thor began to get apprehensive as he slowly deduce what Loki is planning.
"Loki…?"
"Hee-hee-hee…"
"Are you up to something…?"
"Hee-hee-hee…"
"This better not be another silly pranks of yours…"
"Hee-hee-hee…"
"Loki…!"
"Hee-hee-hee…"
Smirking wider, Loki approached the Scarlet Witch, confronting her and tells her that Shuma-Gorath has been deceiving her all this time, as he is using her to do the dirty work and that he has been SECRETLY insulting her while she was not looking, which the Scarlet Witch started to regain some of her senses as she didn't like the fact that she is being insulted.
There Loki CLAIMED that Shuma-Gorath made the following alibi saying that Shuma-Gorath made several insults hurled at the Scarlet Witch, which includes the following alibi, which would rile the Scarlet Witch in such a way, which are:
- The Scarlet Witch is a PLUS-SIZE version of Elizabeth Olsen;
- Her husband is a SUNBURNED version of Paul Bettany;
- Because her husband, the Vision is a MECHANICAL ANDROID having an Android body, the Scarlet Witch uses the Vision as a SEX TOY by insinuating that the Vision is a LIVING dildo;
Veins popped out on both sides of her forehead and she got pissed off, and that somewhat freed her from Shuma-Gorath's control, and she went towards Shuma-Gorath and physically confronted the entity, while Thor twitched his eyes as he couldn't believe that Loki's antics actually helped in this situation.
"DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU!"
"Stop! What are you doing?"
"I'M NOT ELIZABETH OLSEN! I'M WANDA MAXIMOFF...THE SCARLET WITCH!"
"Fool! Focus on what I'm ordering you to do!"
"MY HUSBAND IS NOT PAUL BETTANY!"
"Foolish woman! Stop this at once!"
"AND HE IS DEFINITELY NOT A LIVING DILDO!"
"Curse your miserable hide!"
The Scarlet Witch fired several hex blasts at Shuma-Gorath, causing the entity to back away as he tries to re-posses the Scarlet Witch yet she was so pissed off that she ignored the attempts and kept on firing her attacks, berating Shuma-Gorath for the insults, not knowing that Loki tricked her into believing the lies.
Meliodas and the Nanatsu no Taizai members blinked their eyes at seeing the Scarlet Witch going ballistic as she unloaded a lot of attacks onto Shuma-Gorath, and wondered if the Scarlet Witch is on the side of good or if she is acting selfishly, which the others are not sure what to make of this.
"Hmm…now this is unexpected…"
"What's got into her…?"
"Has she turned good now…?"
"Beats me…"
"At least it'd bought us time. Let's see where this go to…and maybe Strange might land the final blow…"
"Okay…"
"Okay…"
"Okay…"
Forced into a corner, Shuma-Gorath is forced to fight back and uses an optic blast to counter her hex blasts, but the resulting attacks threatened to cause a cave-in as thr ceiling is slowly weakening due to the blasts, and there Chavez mustered the courage and uses her power to open a portal behind Shuma-Gorath, and there the entity loses his balance and accidentally entered the portal, sending Shuma-Gorath to an unknown destination.
As the portal closes, the Scarlet Witch is finally freed from the entity's control, and Thor helped her up, telling her that she is no longer under the control of Shuma-Gorath, and she felt guilty of causing trouble though the Thunder God assured to her that she is not at fault due to her being controlled at that time.
"Easy, Wanda...easy…"
"I…"
"It's okay now…"
"What have I done…?"
"You were controlled by that entity…"
"But…but…"
"You're free from his control…so don't fret. You are not at fault…"
"…"
However, hilarity ensued as Meliodas confronted Loki and asked if Shuma-Gorath really insulted the Scarlet Witch, and the Norse God of Lies and Mischief admitted that he made up the alibi just to give her a PUSH so as to free her from Shuma-Gorath's control, and Loki admitted that he enjoyed teasing the Scarlet Witch as she is quite entertaining to watch.
Loki blinked his eyes as the Nanatsu no Taizai members backed away, and upon turning around, he stared wide-eyed as the Scarlet Witch stood there, her eyes have a murdering gaze while her hands are glowing with energy and she is pissed off to the max…finding out that it was Loki who insulted her and not Shuma-Gorath.
"You…!"
"Uh-oh…"
"You really have the nerve…!"
"Um…ah…well…"
"Now I'm really mad…!"
"Wait…wait…"
"I'm going to kill you!"
"Whoa!"
Before she could fire a concentrated hex blast, Thor held her and urges her to calm down but she wouldn't listen, insisting that she must make Loki pay for the insults he made on her expense, but Thor reiterated that because of that she broke free from Shuma-Gorath's control.
Diane, Elizabeth and King wondered if they should intervene, but Meliodas said that there is no need, saying that Thor would deal with this, as he tells his fellow Nanatsu no Taizai members that Strange will be needing their help here, which they nodded in agreement.
Several minutes later Strange uses the Book Of Vishanti to revive the Illuminati members, and there Mordo begrudgingly accepted the fact that this Strange is different from the one in this universe, but the Illuminati members are still cautious towards the Scarlet Witch but Strange assured to them that she is free from Shuma-Gorath's control, which Xavier confirms, and assured to his fellow Illuminati members that the Scarlet Witch poses no threat to anyone.
"Its okay, my fellow Illuminati…that woman is no threat…"
"Huh?"
"Really?"
"Are you sure…?"
"Yes. She is no longer under control of Shuma-Gorath. So there is nothing to worry."
"Fine."
"Fine."
"Fine."
Seeing that Xavier means what he said, the Illuminati members reluctantly obliges, and once peace is restored, Strange, Chavez, Thor, Loki and the Nanatsu no Taizai members depart as they use Chavez's power to bring them back to their native universe, and they all arrived back at the Sanctum Sanctorium, everyone is ready to get a well-deserved rest.
However, Loki decided to poke a bit of fun by pranking the Scarlet Witch again, this time saying that Meliodas calls her the UGLY SISTER of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen due to being the MISS PIGGY version of Elizabeth Olsen, and the Scarlet Witch innocently took the bait as she confronted Meliodas and shook him violently by pulling his hair non-stop.
"DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU DAMN YOU!"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA…"
"You really have the nerve…! CALLING ME ELIZABETH OLSEN IS ONE THING…BUT CALLING ME MISS PIGGY?!"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA …"
"NOW I'M REALLY MAD…! SO MAD THAT I'M GOING TO SKIN YOU ALIVE!"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA …"
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA"
As Elizabeth, Diane and King tried to pacify a pissed-off Scarlet Witch, Thor glared at Loki, as the latter whistles innocently while glancing at the skies, pleased with the actions he made.

And with the Illuminati brought back to life, they reluctantly allowed Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members to leave and return to their native universe…
Yup, the Illuminati arc ends, thus the Nanatsu no Taizai crew are about to embark on to a new situation...
