Amelia belongs to Jeabird, and I thank her for helping me with this story.

While Takuya was trying to figure out how to Spirit Evolve again, he released this code that actually repaired part of the Digital World. J.P. unimpressed by the whole experience snuck away with Tommy to find a way home. His brilliant plan to bribe the Pagumon with chocolate backfired, in a big way. While trying to find them, Meredith and Takuya found a DigiEgg; while they found it, Koji and Amelia stumbled upon Tommy and J.P. and Koji saved them with some amazing moves but Raremon was too much for him. Takuya and Meredith Spirit Evolved to fight the sewer Digimon, but Takuya couldn't finish the job. Thank goodness for Koji. He Spirit Evolved to Lobomon and deodorized that creep!

Standing in a field, Koji and Amelia looked at the sky, watching the Poyomon fly by.

"This place sure is beautiful..." Amelia remarked, taking a deep breath.

"M'hm.." Koji replied, then continuing, "The wind in the Digital World smells pretty sweet."

"If you really want to go home, all you have to do is hop on here." Neemon pointed towards a Trailmon.

"It's that easy?" J.P. asked it but the others were just as surprised.

"Neemon! A word please!" Bokomon snaps, pulling his friend along with him.

"I'm takin' that bad boy home," JP instantly said, heading for the Trailmon. "How 'bout it guys?"

No one answered and behind them Bokomon pulled on Neemon's pants then let them snap back.

"Come on, don't tell me you guys really want to stay here, do ya?" J.P. stared at them surprised.

"Fine, you dweebs, enjoy your little digital freak show. Come on Tommy, let's blow this stupid pop stand." J.P. looked at Tommy but Tommy doesn't move.

"Aren't you going with him?" Zoe asked the question as she looked at Tommy.

"I've decided I want to stay here with you." Tommy's answer surprised everyone.

"For real Tommy?" Meredith stared at him surprised by Tommy nodded.

"Yeah, for real." Tommy gave a slight smile to Meredith.

"I thought you wanted to go home." Zoe addressed Tommy, surprised.

"Not anymore." Tommy stood tall as he declared that, but he was shoved off of the platform by Takuya and towards J.P.

"Go with JP, it's dangerous here, Tommy. Besides the third grade is a formative year." Takuya crossed his arms, trying to look demanding.

"No." Tommy shook his head as he spoke.

"Go home, hurry up now!" Takuya raised his voice.

"But, Takuya..." Meredith's words weren't completely loud enough to be heard and she watched as J.P. helped Tommy on the train.

"Take care of him JP." Meredith bit her lip, she could hear the sadness in Takuya's voice.

Takuya turned to Zoe looking at her. He gave her an expectant look.

"How bout you, huh?" Takuya asked it and Zoe just gave him a look.

"I have a name." Zoe shot back with the words, ignoring Takuya's question.

"Okay, Zoe, are ya leaving?" Takuya sounded slightly annoyed as he repeated the question.

"Why? Would you miss me?" Zoe smirked slightly as she asked the question.

"I won't be responsible for your safety, you know?" Takuya stated, as he eyed Zoe.

"Good one, Romeo, I'll be fine." Zoe smiled now and gave a slight laugh.

"This oughtta be fun." Takuya muttered the words and looked at the train when it's whistle blew and started to leave.

"Arrivederci!" Everyone looked at Neemon.

"Nice pronunciation." They said that together.

"Thank you." The fact that they were being sarcastic flew over Neemon's head yet Takuya turned, when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye.

"Hey! What're you doing here?!" Takuya blurted that out once he saw that it was J.P. and Tommy approaching them.

"To be honest, I have absolutely no idea." J.P. scratched the back of his head as he spoke.

"Me neither." Tommy seemed a bit nervous actually admitting that.

"Well I'm not gonna be responsible for your safety, you're on your own." When Zoe parroted Takuya's words pretty much everyone besides Takuya laughed.

"Wait a minute, are you mocking me? You are, aren't you?! Man, you try to be nice to a girl." Takuya shot a look at Zoe before looking away and crossing his arms.

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?" Takuya looked at Meredith and gave a nervous laugh.

As the sun was setting, the group was walking down some train tracks. Zoe was in front leading the group while Tommy walked along behind her and J.P. following Tommy. Takuya and Meredith were pulling up the group of humans side by side while overall Bokomon and Neemon were pulling up the back of the group. Takuya walked with his hands behind his head in silence before Bokomon caught up to them.

"Uh, I hope you're planning on helping us Mr. Takuya." Bokomon's uncertain statement garnered Takuya's attention.

"Hmm?" Takuya was now looking at Bokomon.

"You carry with you the spirit of Agunimon, one of the Ten Legendary Warriors. You can defeat the Digimon turned evil by Cherubimon, only you have the power to save us! You must help us return the parts of the Digital World that have been destroyed!" Meredith looked at Bokomon when he said that.

"What about me?" Meredith leveled Bokomon with a look, she had a Spirit as well after all.

"Think 'ya need to calm down buddy." Takuya spoke coolly, skipping over Meredith's question.

"My name's Bokomon and I am NOT your buddy! I don't think you understand the severity of the situation here!" Bokomon's loud words had the others stopping to turn around and look at them before they groaned in annoyance.

"Sorry, didn't mean to yell, but we need the data from the fractal code! It's the only way to rebuild the digital world!" Bokomon was on his knees now.

"Please! Help us get the fractal code back! Save our world before it's too late! Will you?" Takuya stood there staring at Bokomon, not answering his question.

"Neemon! Don't just stand there like a cheap TV antennae, I need your help! Say something!" Bokomon looked to Neemon, expecting some kind of help.

"Some... Thing." Neemon said the words before tilting his head.

"Are you really that dense or do you just do that to annoy me?!" Bokomon exclaimed, snapping his pants.

As Bokomon snapped Neemon with his own pants the argument that might have ensued was cut off. Everyone pulled out their D-Tectors since they had started to glow.

"Attention: Go to the Forest Terminal immediately." There was crackle of static for a second before the words resounded from the D-Tectors.

"What's a Forest Terminal?" Takuya asked.

Everyone seemed confused by the their new desination since no one knew of it. They looked at Bokomon after a couple of seconds, repeating Takuya's question:

"What is a Forest Terminal?" Bokomon gasped and much to Neemon's relief he stopped snapping Neemon with his pants.

"How am I supposed to find it? Hey, hey answer me!" Takuya's question went unanswered by the voice but Bokomon pulled out his handy book and started to read.

"The Forest Terminal is a station located deep within the realm of the Forest Kingdom. Oh. We just follow the tracks, they'll take us right to it." Takuya looked at Bokomon.

"How far do we have to follow them?" Neemon's question had Bokomon looking back to his book.

"It says….It says….uhhh….ARGHHH! All the way!" The mere thought of how long it would take had everyone groaning in misery.

"Let's just hope we can all get there in one piece." Meredith spoke the words as she looked down the tracks, no one cared to respond though.

"You're just full of useless information, aren't you?" Takuya muttered the words as he also looked down the stretch of tracks.

As they started to walk again Meredith looked to DemiVeemon. He was curled up in her arms and was dozing off. She couldn't help but question the spiral that was around his left eye. What had caused the spiral mark?

"Neemon, is there something wrong?" Bokomon's question caused Meredith to look back to Neemon, he was staring at the Flame Terminal while everyone else was still walking.

"I guess I'm a little homesick." Homesick, Meredith looked away from Neemon and Bokomon.

"Then just go back you big baby!" As that debate started, Meredith caught up to the others.

"Hm, should I stay? Should I go? Should I stay? Should I go?" Neemon's voice was fading slightly as the others got farther from them.

"Come on you wishy-washy pain in the pants, if you get too whiney I'll just mail you back!" Meredith caught up to Takuya and the rest.

"What made you change your mind about going home?" Meredith held DemiVeemon just a tad tighter, knowing the discussion that would come.

"I didn't have much going on back home. I thought it might be kinda fun to hang out with you guys and get to know you guys a bit better." J.P. couldn't help but glance at Zoe.

Takuya joked back, "Ha, get to know Zoe, you mean!"

JP's face turned red. "Hey that is not what I meant!"

"Then why ya all red, buddy?" Takuya grinned.

"It's hot out, I'm sunburned! What grade are you and Meredith in anyway?"

"Sixth, is that a problem?" Takuya snapped back.

JP made a snorting noise, "Huh, well I'm in seventh grade!"

Takuya sighed. "Like I'm supposed to care." He stretched his arms to above his head, eyes closed relaxed.

Zoe sighed and looked to Tommy, Meredith was falling behind a bit.

"Like I care if you care. I should've just left this Digi-dump when I had the chance." J.P. seemed a bit like a kid saying that since he obviously did care.

"Why didn't you go home Tommy?" Meredith looked at Tommy at Zoe's question, she was curious herself.

"I want to be like Takuya." Tommy's reply was confusing slightly.

"What does that mean?" Tommy looked at Meredith.

"I want to become a Digimon so I won't be scared all the time." Tommy declared the words proudly.

"What about your mom and dad at home? They have to be worried?" Meredith stopped, her mind wandered to her mother.

Her parents got divorced when she was eight years old. She still remembered that day, vividly. The day started of like any other Friday – it gave no hint about what was instore for her. She was only eight and in the third grade. She went to the same school as Takuya, they were even in the same class. School went normally as well and it was time to go home, that's when things were out of the ordinary. Takuya's mom would come and get both Meredith and Takuya mostly every day due to both of Meredith's parents working all day.

:Flashback:

She and Takuya walked out, chit-chatting about this and that. Suddenly, they stopped in front of Meredith's father's car, and saw Takuya's mother's car right next to it.

"Dad?" Meredith questioned.

"Meredith, come on. We have to go home." Meredith's dad said.

Meredith waves at Takuya, "Bye."

Takuya replied, somberly confused, "Bye, Meredith."

"Daddy, what's going on, and where's Mommy?" the little girl asked.

Her father sighed, "You're moving in with me, Meredith."

"What are you saying, Dad?"

"Your mom and I are getting divorced." He replies, monotony.

Meredith's eyes widen.

"W-what does that mean, dad?" she asked the question and her father gulped, gripping the steering wheel tighter.

"Your mom willing be moving out." Meredith tilted her head.

"Why can't mom stay?" Her father sighed.

"Things aren't working out between us and we just need time apart." Meredith nodded and looked out the window.

"So when will mom come back?" Meredith knew that sometimes people needed time apart, even her and Takuya at times had days they wanted to be separate.

"She's not coming back." Meredith's eyes widened.

"What about Akio?"

"He'll be living with your mother." Meredith curled her hands into fists.

"Why are you doing this?" Her voice shook and tears started to sting her eyes.

"Our relationship isn't what it used to be." The car started to slow to a stop.

"What about Akio and me?" Her father sighed.

"Just, stop Meredith. This isn't easy on me or your mother." Meredith's chin quivered.

"Meredith!" Her father yelled as she managed to get her seatbelt undone and the door open before he could grab her, having not noticed until she had opened the door.

Meredith was out of the stopped car and running. As she ran she couldn't stop the thoughts that sprung to her mind.

'Why are they doing this?! Don't they care about Akio?! Don't they care about me?! If they cared about us they wouldn't do this!'

Meredith stumbled slightly but she didn't stop running, her legs just kept carrying her towards an unknown destination.

'What if it's because of Akio? What if it's because of me?'

That thought made Meredith stop where she was. But then, she felt her father grab her around the waist.

"Meredith, don't scare me like that!"

"Let go of me!" Meredith cried.

"Meredith, running away won't do you any good."

"You and Mom don't care about me! If you did, you wouldn't be doing this!" Meredith started crying.

Her father sighed, "Listen, Meredith, this kind of thing happens in a lot of marriages. I'm sorry if you're hurt."

As they got home, Takuya's parents and him and his little brother were there to say goodbye to Meredith's Mother and her little brother Akio. Meredith ran up to her mom by the moving van and hugged her, crying.

"Mommy, why are you doing this? Don't you care about me anymore?"

Her mother's face showed so much anguish that she had to turn her head away from the girl, "Meredith, I didn't choose this. I love you.

"But... this means that I won't see you anymore!"

Her mother got down to where she looked Meredith in her eyes, "I hate it too. Be strong, Meredith, and promise me this."

"What?"

"Promise me that you'll be happy. Promise me, that you'll take care of your daddy. And promise me that you'll make friends."

"I will! I promise!"

"-dith, Meredith hey are you ok?" Meredith blinked and she focused on Takuya.

Takuya was right up in her face and he looked completely concerned. She just stared into his brown eyes. Staring into the brown eyes that belonged to Takuya made her remember how he has always been there for her. Even when she got into fights with her dad he was there, he would bring her to his house so they could play video games together. Meredith was brought from her drifting thoughts when Takuya placed his hand on her forehead.

"I'm fine Takuya, just a little tired." Takuya frowned, obviously not believing Meredith's words.

"Do you want me to carry you?" Meredith nodded slowly.

Once more Meredith was being given a piggyback ride by Takuya. Her arms wrapped around his neck and legs around his waist. DemiVeemon now laid on Takuya's head. Takuya walked slightly faster than usual as to catch up with the rest of the group that had left them behind.

"Why did you zone out like that?" Takuya asked it before they fully caught up to the others.

"I was just, thinking about things from the past." Meredith stared at Takuya from the corner of her eye.

"What kinda things?" He glanced at her from the side of his eye.

"I was thinking about when my parents got divorced…." Meredith trailed off when they caught up to the group.

"Are you alright, Meredith?" Meredith glanced at Tommy.

"She's fine, she just doesn't feel well." Takuya spoke before she had a chance to.

As the sun set, Meredith fell asleep, still on Takuya's back. She continued to sleep until Takuya stopped and when she opened her eyes, the first thing she noticed was that it was already dark out. She felt bad once she realized that Takuya had carried her for a while which wasn't making the current situation any easier on him. The next thing she noticed was a large ravine, looking down the ravine from her vantage point on Takuya's back.

"Why'd we stop?" Meredith asked the question and Takuya looked at her.

Takuya didn't answer since Bokomon had wandered to the edge, where the tracks stopped and looked down. His actions kind of calling attention as to why they stopped, the tracks were broken so they couldn't continue to follow them.

"Ugh, this is a fine mess…" He mumbled.

"So what now?" Meredith muttered.

"Check it out guys, that trail leads to the bottom!" J.P. pointed down as he spoke.

They all looked down. "Looks like a village down there," Takuya pondered, "Maybe they can help us."

Meredith slid off of Takuya's back, looking at the ravine. She began to stretch and after stretching and taking DemiVeemon into her arms, they all began down the path that J.P. had pointed out. They went to the bottom of the ravine. And it was way down in the canyon, three Digimon noticed them.

"Humans!" One cried.

"Human children! Why I oughtta!" The second Digimon cried.

The first replied just as boisterous, "What're they doing here?"

"Well I tell ya, nothing good. We'd better enlighten the boss!" They disappear.

The shadows of the Digimon that appeared on the wall were haunting. They appeared to be large candles, with arms made of candle wax. They also appeared to be... on fire.

"That's weird," J.P. muttered the words as they arrived at the bottom, "I could've sworn those lights were coming from here."

"Looked like that to me." Zoe glanced around, looking for the lights that she had also seen.

Takuya and Meredith were also looking ahead, trying to find the lights. The lights seemed to have vanished and it was a bit unsettling. As they were looking for the lights Tommy pulled on Takuya's arm.

"Takuya?" Takuya and Meredith both looked to Tommy even if only Takuya had been called, Tommy pointed to the wall.

"Huh?" Looking at the wall Takuya and Meredith saw the pictures that were carved into the wall.

"Woah… didn't expect to see that…" Meredith muttered while staring at the wall in awe.

There depicted on the wall, was an angel like Digimon. Yet along with the Digimon there were symbols – symbols of the Legendary Warriors. The Digimon and the symbols covered the wall that the group was now staring at.

"Kinda pretty..." Zoe murmured.

"Pretty?" Bokomon quipped, "Pretty she says." He grabbed his book, and informed her otherwise, "These are the marks of the Ten Legendary Warriors!"

"The Ten Legendary Warriors?!" They all looked at Bokomon when he said that.

"Hmm? I've never heard of them." Bokomon looked at Neemon when he said that.

"Are you serious?! The legend of the Ten Warriors is the first thing we learned in Digital World history!" Bokomon shouted the words at Neemon.

"…I must've been sick that day, but they sure are pretty!" Neemon tilted his head as he spoke.

Bokomon groaned in frustration before he sighed, and read, "In ancient times there were terrible wars between humanoid Digimon and beast Digimon for control of the Digital World. One day an angel Digimon called Lucemon appeared and taught them how to resolve their differences and live in peace and the fighting stopped. Lucemon was a wise, kind ruler, but the peace in the Digital World was short-lived. Lucemon, obsessed with his power, began to torment the peace loving Digimon until they could take no more. It was then that the ten brave warriors rose up against him, after a fierce battle, they defeated Lucemon, restoring the peace. The legend says that one day the spirits of these ancient warriors will rise again in times of troubles."

"Read it again." Neemon pleaded.

Bokomon snapped his book shut, "No."

"I know that symbol!" Tommy cried.

Zoe added, "It's the same one we saw when Takuya spirit evolved into Agunimon!" At that moment, she remembered the symbol flashing, clear as day, though terror should've clouded her memory a bit.

Tommy pointed to the symbol of water, "And there's the mark that was on Meredith's belt when she transformed into Sakanamon!" He remembered the water warrior, saving him.

"And that mark next to it was the one on Koji's shoulder when he turned into Lobomon!" he continued, pointedly remembering the Warrior of Light.

"I wonder if I'll be next, oh I hope my Digimon's cute!" Zoe smiled and clasped her hands, thinking about what her Digimon might be.

"I'm gonna be the biggest, scariest Digimon ever!" Tommy beamed.

JP crushed Tommy's happiness, "Not likely, shorty. I mean there's no way we'll all get to be Digimon."

"Huh?" Tommy and Takuya turn to leave, when suddenly: They see the Candlemon!

"We've got... Company..." As Takuya spoke an older looking Candlemon approached them.

"Why have you humans come to our village? You are not welcome here." The elder spoke as he eyed the humans.

"We're on our way to the Forest Terminal. Sorry to disturb you!" Takuya was quick to speak, smiling as he spoke hoping to show that they really didn't mean any harm.

"You're melting my heart." The elder moaned.

"Ooh, that's a no-no!" The younger ones chimed in with that.

The Elder the accused, "You mean to steal the ancient artifact from us, don't you? Well you won't get away with it!" The group was confused at this.

"He's right! The humans must be punished!" one of the Candlemon yelled.

"Hey boss, you want us to wax 'em for ya?" One grinned sinisterly.

"Wait!" Bokomon cried, "Stop, let me explain! These humans have come to help us save the Digital World, not steal some artifact."

"But we didn't know that at first." Takuya's words made Meredith slap herself on her forehead.

"You're not helping! This may be hard to believe, but somehow this boy was infused with the Spirit of one of The Ten Legendary Warriors, Agunimon!" Bokomon pointed at Takuya as he spoke.

"Did you say Agunimon?! IMPOSSIBLE!" The other Candlemon present whispered, discussing if the statement had any kind of truth behind it.

"And this girl here," Bokomon now was pointing to Meredith, "holds the Spirit of the Legendary Warrior of Water, Sakanamon!" The Candlemon looked at Meredith now.

"You want us to believe that they are both Legendary Warriors?" One of the younger Candlemon piped out, coming towards the front.

"What kind of proof do you have to back up such outrageous claims!?" The younger Candlemon weren't ready to just accept what was said.

"Yeah and they're just humans!" The elder looked at the two younger ones and saying something before looking at the group.

"Forgive us, it's an honor to have Legendary Warriors with us." The elder smiled at them. "We, the Candlemon Tribe, are tasked with protecting an ancient artifact and we're just weary of outsiders. So, which of you children have inherited the spirit of a legendary warrior?"

"It was these two, Takuya and Meredith!" Bokomon pointed at the two goggle heads; Candlemon floats to them, more in Takuya's face than Meredith's face though.

"Well, you certainly have a brave face young man! On behalf of the Candlemon tribe, I bid you all welcome! Please, be our guests!" The elder swept his hands towards a village.

"Something doesn't seem quite right…." Takuya was uneasy and Meredith nods, the others though either didn't care to respond or didn't notice.

"Come along now, don't dawdle!" The elder started to hop away, towards the village.

Once into town there are Candlemon dancing around a candle-like obelisk. They weren't just dancing though, they were chanting something. Whatever they were chanting though was in a different language so there was no hope of understanding what they were saying.

"Looks like a giant birthday party." Meredith shot a look at Takuya, not knowing if he was serious but she was pretty sure he was since that was just the type of person that Takuya was.

"It's for you, my friends! A welcome ceremony, enjoy! Come closer, feel the warmth of the flame!" The elder Candlemon smiled as he faced the group.

While the elder smiled other Candlemon were throwing some kind of leaves into the flames. They fanned the flames and the air let off towards the group. It was moments later that they realized what the green smoke was doing and by then everyone was already sleepy.

"Uh! Look at this! It's sleeping clover!" Bokomon held one of the leaves up, annoyed yet far to sleepy to truly show that.

"It's nappy time, anyway..." Neemon yawns after saying that before falling asleep along with Bokomon.

Neemon and Bokomon were quickly followed by Zoe, J.P. and Tommy dropping. They were fighting a losing battle to keep their eyes open. While they struggled Takuya and Meredith managed to remain standing but it was only a matter of time before they felt it as well. DemiVeemon started to nod, his eyes starting to slip close as he fell asleep in the redhead's arms.

"So, you two claimed the spirits of Agunimon and Sakanamon, have you? Ha! We'll soon shed some light on this! Get them Candlemon!" The elder Candlemon yelled and the other Candlemon looked ready to attack now – which they were planning on doing.

"Come on we can't stay here!" Takuya tried to shake Tommy awake but it wasn't working.

"C'mon!" He looked away and then he saw it.

"The river!" Meredith caught onto Takuya's plan just in time.

"LAVA LOOGIE!" Through a volley of fireballs Takuya and Meredith managed to get everyone and jump into the river without anyone getting hurt.

"Dive in!" Dipping below the surface of the river did the trick of waking the others up.

"It's freezing!" Meredith shivered in the water.

"That was a great idea!" Takuya remarked sarcastically while the others come up gasping for breath.

"I'll never complain about my alarm clock again!" Zoe bobbed in the water, wide awake now.

"Yea, nice way to wake up! Did we really have to jump into the river?" J.P. shot a look at Takuya.

"Did you have any bright ideas?" Takuya shot that back at J.P., effectively making him shut up.

As Meredith shivered and she rubbed her arms she realized it. Her arms were empty. She looked around rapidly.

'Where is he?!' Meredith's thoughts were rapid-fire, all centered on him.

"Meredith what's wrong?" She looked at Takuya.

"DemiVeemon, he's gone!"

The moment that Meredith said that Takuya's eyes went wide. They were responsible for the baby Digimon after all. Anything he was going to say was cut off when there was cry – the cry belonged to DemiVeemon. DemiVeemon was being carried away by the current. Meredith had pulled on her goggles and was swimming after him before anything could be said.

"DemiVeemon, I'm coming!" Meredith called the words, hoping that DemiVeemon would hear her.

"Lava Loogie!" Fireballs coming for her caused her to dive below the surface.

Meredith was thankful for the fact that she swam so much. She was able to swim below the surface which allowed her to dodge the Lave Loogies that came her way from the Candlemon. She was also quickly catching up DemiVeemon. Meredith broke the surface, gasping for air.

"Lava Loogie!" The attack would've hit Meredith but she was pulled below the surface, she had enough air for a couple of seconds.

Meredith nodded to Takuya as she took a deep breath and continued her race to DemiVeemon, her gogglehead friend now close behind her. Once she had the baby Digimon, she noticed that the others were nowhere to be seen. She was worried about the others but glad that she had DemiVeemon back. She put him into her drawstring backpack, looking at Takuya but he dived below the surface. The redhead quickly followed suit, a Lava Loogie flying through where their heads had been.

"Let's draw them away and then Spirit Evolve, so the others can get away." Meredith nodded and the two goggle heads started to lead them away from where the others were hiding; once on dry ground they started to run.

"Hey, I see two of 'em!" one of the Candlemon shouted.

As they ran Takuya began to push buttons on his D Tector, still not knowing how to make it work.

"Come on! Help me out here!" Takuya was getting fruastrated while Meredith had pulled her D Tector out and held it.

"Lava Loogie!" While Takuya didn't get hit he did stumble and manage to drop his D Tector.

"Oh no! My D-Tector!" Takuya scrambled to grab his D Tector, the Candlemon drawing close to him.

"Takuya!" Meredith was worried about him.

"We've got you now, human!" While one of the Candlemon declared, it partnered with them laughing, Takuya jumped to his D Tector holding it up after landing on his feet.

"What?" The elder was surprised.

"Spirit Evolution time!" Even though Takuya declared the words both Takuya and Meredith now had data in their hands.

"Execute...Spirit Evolution!" Takuya scanned the data in his hand.

"Agunimon!" Takuya declared the words once he was Agunimon.

"Execute...Spirit Evolution!" At the same time as Takuya had scanned the data in his hand Meredith had done the same.

"Sakanamon!" Meredith was now Sakanamon, both Agunimon and Sakanamon were ready to fight.

Once the others saw Agunimon and Sakanamon they began to cheer. They cheered for their friends and Agunimon had fire wrapping around his arms now, ready to attack instead of being attacked. Time for it to become a two sided battle.

"I summon the Pyro Tornado!" Agunimon threw fire at them but the only thing it did was make the fire on the Candlemon's head larger.

"Wha?" Agunimon was confused.

"Fire attacks won't work on them! Let's try this. Turquoise Rain!" Sakanamon stated what should have been some kind of common sense before throwing in an attack as well.

"Come on, I better get us out of this hole before we get waxed." He turned, but slipped, "I hate ice skating!"

They all found out they were in an ice cavern. "Be careful, Tommy," said Zoe.

"I'm trying," the little boy stuttered.

JP then commented, "Wow, I didn't see that before."

"We'll be safe from those hotheads in there," assured Zoe.

"Ceresin Paralyzer!" The Candlemon spun quickly and suddenly wax was flung at both them.

"That stuff hurts! Aaahhhh!" Agunimon struggled with the wax that kept him bound to the spot.

"Ahhhh! Get this off me!" Sakanamon was nearly yelling in pain.

As Agunimon and Sakanamon were suffering Tommy couldn't sit back any longer. He left the hiding spot and he flung water at the Candlemon that was approaching Agunimon and Sakanamon by using his hat as a bucket of sorts.

"Lights out, 'ya meanies! I won't be, just a little kid in the way, ever again!" Tommy continued to fling water on the Candlemon, he wanted to do something for the two who saved him and it was the only thing he could think of.

Suddenly though there was a bright light that shot out of the sky. Something also glided towards Tommy and once it was in front of him he stopped, staring at it. The water below it turned to ice before the rest of the river was turned to ice.

"EXECUTE! SPIRIT EVOLUTION!" Tommy shouted as he became encased in data. Turning around, the snow that hid his eyes left, revealing brown eyes. Skiing down to his platform, he became a pile of snow when he landed before solidifying into ice and returning to his new form. He completed his Evolution by giving a peace sign and yelling his name.

"KUMAMON!" Kumamon had all eyes on him.

"That's amazing!" Zoe stared in awe of what she saw.

"That's impossible!" J.P. on the other hand stared stunned because he couldn't believe that Tommy got his a Spirit before he did.

'It's Tommy!' Agunimon and Sakanamon thought.

"It's Kumamon, the Legendary Warrior of Ice!" Bokomon exclaimed the words.

"Time to teach you bullies a lesson! Crystal Freeze!" He took a deep breath before blowing out air that had snow crystals, once the snow crystals touched the Candlemon it was frozen.

"Hey, there teddy bear! You want a playmate? Ha Cha!" The Candlemon that had addressed Kumamon started to spin in flaming vortex that was then surrounded by data and once it dyed down standing in Candlemon's place was a Digimon with a staff in and a wizard's hat on its head.

"Who's that?" Sakanamon barely got the words out, still in pain.

"That's Wizardmon. This mysterious champion level Digimon can make you disappear with his Electro Squall and Magic Game attacks." Bokomon didn't sound so happy as he spoke.

"Crystal Freeze!" Kumamon didn't back down though.

"Take off teddy!" Wizardmon dodged Kumamon's attacked and kicked him, knocking him away.

"Kumamon!" Agunimon and Sakanamon called the name, worried.

Wizardmon was cackling evilly as he landed in front of Agunimon and Sakanamon.

"Looks like the great Agunimon has a problem with waxy build up! How about a little magical game? Ta-ta!" Wizardmon vanished into thin air.

Agunimon and Sakanamon managed to break out of the hardened wax finally but it had taken its toll already.

"That was weird…" Kumamon remained on the ground, staring at where Wizardmon had been before he disappeared.

Sakanamon though stopped, she could hear footsteps all around them. Yet she didn't get to see who making the sounds, every time she turned there was nothing there. It was as if there was a ghost. She wasn't the only one who could hear the footsteps either and not the only one got annoyed since Agunimon growled in frustration.

"Up here! I know let's play catch!" The words were preceded by laughter and punctuated by a lightning bolt that was sent for Agunimon but he dodged it and it hit Sakanamon instead.

"Meredith!" Agunimon called her name since after getting hit Sakanamon had reverted back to Meredith, an unconscious Meredith at that.

Agunimon went for Meredith but he was cut off by Wizardmon appearing and multiplying. Wizardmon was laughing and had his wand pointed at the girl, it was enough that made Agunimon stop.

"Looks like the Warrior of Water isn't strong." Agunimon growled at Wizardmon's words yet a bolt of lightning stopped him from jumping at the wizard Digimon.

"Before getting to me, you have to get through all of us." The copies said the words together.

"They all look real because they are real!" Wizardmon was laughing once more and Agunimon growled again.

"Only one of you are real and I'll find it!" Agunimon curled his hands into fists, preparing for an attack.

"All Warriors must fall, starting with the Warrior of Water!" Wizardmon raised his staff, things seemed to slow down.

"Electro Squall!" Lightning bolts headed for Meredith – but it was knocked off course.

The lightning hit the wall by Meredith causing a few pebbles to fall. The attack had been knocked off course because Wizardmon's staff had be head-butted out of his hands. An angry looking DemiVeemon being the culprit but he quickly backed up, looking scared now but he still stood in front of Meredith.

"D-don't hurt mama!" DemiVeemon stood there, trying to be brave.

DemiVeemon's act of bravery though proved to have been enough. The staff that had been knocked upwards with lightning coming from it revealed the fact that there was only Wizardmon that had a shadow which had been noticed by Agunimon. Agunimon promptly hit Wizardmon, sending him flying. Fractal Code appeared around Wizardmon.

"Game's over! I didn't believe in magic but I have a trick for ya. Fractal Code: Digitize!" Agunimon scanned the code which resulted in Wizardmon reverting back to Candlemon.

Agunimon turned to face Kumamon, and the two turned back to human form, Tommy handed an out-cold Meredith to the older boy. The goggle girl groaned in Takuya's arms.

One Candlemon cried out, "Well I guess this proves that they really are the Legendary Warriors after all!"

The Elder chimed in agreement, "Yes, I would not have believed it if I hadn't it myself! You have indeed proven yourselves worthy of carrying the Spirits of the Legendary Warriors, my young human friends. Takuya and little Tommy, you have truly honored the great names of Agunimon and Kumamon. I salute you both."

He looked at Meredith, "This one has a great affinity for both water and Sakanamon."

He touched his waxy hand to her face. Meredith, noticing a source of heat on her face, stirred. She somewhat stood up, for being knocked out by a blow tended to leave after-affects.

She started rubbing her face. "Not again with the wax..."

The Elder laughed, "No, there won't be anymore attacks. I owe you all an apology. The truth is we thought you might possess the Spirits of Legendary Warriors, but we still had to make sure. I'm sorry we didn't trust you."

Tommy questioned, "So then all of this has been a test?"

Takuya groaned, "That pretty much stinks. You're lucky I don't pinch your lights out for that!"

"Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. I'm so sorry, you have every right to be angry." The Elder reminds.

"Fractal Code rendered." The Fractal Code flew up in the air.

"Wizardmon had the code!" announced Bokomon.

The Fractal Code started creating the missing tracks for a bridge. As they watched the bridge come back to life, they smiled, "Wizardmon held within him the Fractal Code for the bridge which protected our village from evil digimon." The Elder explained.

"Young Takuya, for many years no one has crossed this canyon, but you have my official permission to use this bridge. Follow the tracks and they will lead you to the Forest Terminal, but it is a perilous journey." He warned.

"Uh, maybe we should think about this guys, there's still time to go home," J.P. started to change his mind of staying.

Zoe giggled "You're just jealous because Tommy found his inner digimon and you haven't yet."

"Why would I even care about that? Shorty can have it. It's just that being here is like working."

"And we all know how ya feel about that!" Takuya joked. Laughter rippled through the cavern, echoing and bouncing.

A Trailmon crossed the bridge and inside was Koji and Amelia.

"Hey, somebody else just beat us across the bridge," said Takuya.

'Amelia?' thought Meredith.

'I wonder if they're going to the Forest Terminal too.' Takuya meditated.

That could have been a serious meltdown. Hopefully, the dream team's on the right track now. We'll see on the next Digimon: Digital Monsters.
