The story is back in business. Before you read this, you'll have to go back and reread the whole story because it's been rewritten. Amelia belongs to Jeabird, and I thank her for helping me with this story.
While headed to the Forest Terminal, the gang ended up at Wind Factory Incorporated. There they met the Kokuwamon, a group of machine Digimon who were being forced into slaver labor by the Goblimon. Takuya came up with a plan to save the little guys and once the fighting started they met the head honcho, Snimon. Poor J.P., being the only who didn't have a Spirit, felt useless. When the Spirit of Thunder was uncovered though, J.P. jumped at the chance to get and Spirit. After Spirit Evolving to Beetlemon he used his Thunder Fist to squash Snimon like the big old bug he was!
In some mountains that look like they were being held by ropes we find Koji and Amelia. The two were holding onto the mountain as they walked on a ledge that barely had enough for their feet. They stop for a moment for a breather. Yet as soon as they stop, there was the sound of some kind of cry. They both look up before glancing at the other. They started to climb their way to the hole that was in the side of the mountain. Once up and inside of the hole they see snail Digimon behind bars, they all appeared to girls though.
"Hello?" The snail Digimon looked up at Koji's word.
"Huh, heroes?" One of them called and Koji edged towards the cage, he had to crouch though due to the small space there was; Amelia only took a few steps in due to the small amount of space.
"Quickly, please. You must release us." Another one chimed in, nearly begging.
"You'll scare them off. Don't be so pushy!" A third one scolded the one who had been 'pushy'.
Koji grabbed the lock and tried pulling on it. Sadly that wasn't enough to make the lock giving so he would need something to break it with.
"I don't wanna stay in here! Release us! Release us!" One the snails were growing frantic.
Koji looked left to right and after finding a rock he grabbed it. He hit the lock with the rock but it didn't break the lock. As he was hitting the rock a couple of times, Amelia looked over her shoulder, thinking she heard something. Her eyes widened.
"Ko-" She didn't get his whole name as she was grabbed and flung out of the hole.
Koji had turned to look when she attempted to call his name and the snail Digimon had started to scream. He quickly followed after Amelia, also getting thrown out of the cave and down the mountain. Amelia was flailing her arms as she tried not to scream, falling might be one of her worst fears.
:Meredith:
There were in a city that a lot of shops, mostly restaurants at that. The group just wanted some grub because their poor grumbly stomachs couldn't take anymore.
"What?! No money?! Get out!" The shout that came from Kongoumon, it was easily heard out in the streets.
Kongoumon picked the kids up and literally threw them out of the door. The gang all landed in one big painful dog pile.
"Hey, that hurt!" Meredith yelled at Kongoumon but he didn't seem to care.
"Come back," Kongoumon's tone was nice, "when you're not just a bunch of deadbeats!" Then switched annoyed.
"But we're really hungry, and we do have money!" Zoe pleaded with Kongoumon and pulled out her money, "See? Right here." Her words were only met with Kongoumon slamming the door closed in their faces which Zoe just whined at.
"You have money? Let me see it." Bokomon took Zoe's money, carefully looking it over before getting a shocked look on his face.
"You call this stuff money? Frankly, I would've thrown you out of that restaurant too." Bokomon was blunt and even threw Zoe's money on the ground which annoyed her and left her to pick her money up.
"So, what's money like in the Digital World? If you're so smart, how do we get our hands on some?" J.P. stared at Bokomon, waiting for his reply.
"It's simple. Stop being lazy, and go to work." Bokomon's words continued to make the group angry.
"You want us kids to work? That's what allowances are for!" Takuya spoke, you could easily tell he was angry at Bokomon.
"Can't you just lend us some?" Tommy's words prompted Takuya and J.P. to look at each other before holding out their hands with open palms to Bokomon.
"Yeah, hand it over!" Bokomon pulled out his wallet from his waistband at Takuya and J.P's words, showed it to them before opening it – just to reveal that he had a few lent balls.
"As you can see, I'm without funds as well." They all groaned at Bokomon's words.
"You're broke, and you got the nerve to call us lazy?!" Meredith yelled it at Bokomon and he just laughed nervously.
"Yeah, why are you calling us lazy!" Neemon chimed in alongside of Meredith.
"Now, come on you nincompoops, and follow me." Bokomon spoke as he and Neemon started to walk away but the group just fell to the ground.
"WAHHHHHHHHH!" J.P.'s whining caused both Bokomon and Neemon to turn around and face them.
"It's time to go." Bokomon stared at them but none of them moved.
"That's not going." Neemon was also staring at them.
"We're still hungry!" Zoe complained as she looked to them.
"Yea, we gotta eat something!" Takuya backed Zoe up.
"Anything!" Tommy and Meredith chimed in, saying the single word together.
"Hey, you guys," J.P. had stopped whining and he saw something and he pointed to a sign that was behind Bokomon, "Take a look at that!"
Meredith got up and walked to the sign. She was surprised by what was written but she grinned.
"Heroes wanted: All your meals for free!" Meredith grinned and looked to the others.
"I'm brave enough to eat!" Takuya practically jumped up as he declared the words.
Tommy, J.P. and Zoe stood up. They were happy and they ran to where the sign was. They turned the corner and they were met with just three snail Digimon. The snail Digimon seemed scared to seem them actually.
"Ummm….we're heroes?" The moment Takuya said that the snails went from scared to wide hopeful eyes and smiles.
The group ended up getting taken to some woods by the train tracks. Everyone was behind bushes while Meredith sat in the crate with DemiVeemon in her lap.
"Why are we in a crate?" Meredith's only response was Takuya shushing her.
"There's the train!" They poked their heads out of the bush when Takuya said it.
"Shouldn't we hide?" The train was fast approaching them as Zoe spoke.
"Right!" They pulled their heads back in and they waited.
"I wonder what these guys want us to do?" Takuya tilted his head as he asked the question aloud.
"Relax, I'm sure they have a good plan." Meredith glanced at Zoe when she spoke.
Meredith wasn't so sure about the plan being 'good'. As the train started to pass them the Digimon hopped on the train with ropes attached to them. This caused the crate to be yanked out of the bushes and onto the tracks. The landing onto the tracks were rough and they were quickly being pulled through a tunnel.
"You call this a good plan?!" Meredith shouted as she hung onto DemiVeemon with one arm and the crate with the other.
"I hope all their plans aren't as crazy as this one…" As Takuya spoke the KaratsukiNumemon came back to sit in the crate with them.
"One day, a mean creature named Daemon attacked. We're peaceful; we can't fight him by ourselves." One of the KaratsukiNumemon spoke and Takuya nodded.
"He demanded our mountain's fractal code and we told him we don't even know where it is. But he thinks we're lying, so that's why we need you heroes." The group stared at the KaratsukiNumemon, not exactly sure what to think at the moment.
"Don't worry; we'll take care of him, right guys?" As Takuya spoke they exited the tunnel.
"Right!" Zoe didn't miss a beat.
"No prob." Meredith smiled at the KaratsukiNumemon.
"I guess." Tommy sounded a little worried.
"Whatever." J.P. sounded as bored as he could be.
"Boys, I'm not sure I understand this. Why can't he just take the fractal code?" All Digimon present looked at Zoe the moment she asked that question.
"We already talked about this. As I said, the source of all energy in the Digital World is data. Everything, mountains, rivers, villages. Everything that's solid matter is made up of energy. So it has fractal code. Only in some places, the code is out in the open and in some places, it's hidden. Try to remember that." Bokomon gave the lecture to Zoe.
"I'm afraid there's more of our story to tell. Daemon took all of our women to trade for the mountain's fractal code." KaratsukiNumemon sounded so sad saying that.
"He took your women?" Meredith sounded surprised as she asked the question.
"That's horrible." Tommy sat up a little straighter and curled his hand into his fist.
"Man, guys can sure be jerks sometimes. So that's why you wanted our help? To save your women?" Zoe was annoyed now.
"Yes." The KaratsukiNumemon in the middle nodded.
"Just leave everything to us." J.P. sat up, now he sounded invested.
"We are in your debt, heroes." The KaratsukiNumemon bowed their heads as the spoke.
"Alright, now about that chow." J.P. smiled and was happy – that was short lived.
"Uh-oh!" Meredith saw it before the others did.
"What's wrong?" Takuya looked at Meredith but she only pointed, the tracks ahead turned into a few loop-de-loops.
"Hold on! You want us to ride through that, in this?" Takuya was panicked, everyone was actually.
"Are you snails insane?!" Takuya shouted at the snails.
Everyone grabbed onto something quickly. Meredith held DemiVeemon tightly and grabbed the closet thing to her. The closest thing to her just happened to be Takuya. They were now going down hill and in seconds they started the loop-de-loops.
"We're all gonna die! Watch out! Ahh! Oh no!" While Meredith shouted in panic DemiVeemon was laughing and had his arms up in the air, having fun both on the 'roller-coaster' and watching as everything zoomed past them.
"At least it's starting to slow down!" Takuya shouted.
"We're not slowing down, we're speeding up!" Tommy was afraid, rightfully so since they were now going vertically up the mountain.
"How is this thing even staying on the tracks?" Takuya was screaming.
"Actually, I don't think it is." The KaratsukiNumemon were really calm.
"What?!" Meredith yelled but seconds later the crate fell.
Everyone was thrown off of it and started falling down the mountain. Thankfully they didn't fall all the way back down to the ground but instead landed on some wooden poles that were sticking out of the side of the mountain. They did however get a nice peek all the way down the mountain.
"Come on heroes, we're almost there." The KaratsukiNumemon were stuck to the side of the mountain.
"Are you kidding me? Sticking to the side of a cliff is easy for you guys, but one slip and we're gravel pancakes!" J.P. shouted up at the KaratsukiNumemon and they looked down only to get scared a bit more.
"Just how do you propose we get up to you? We can't cling to walls!" At Zoe's words a rope ladder is thrown down to them.
"Climb up you guys, it's fun." The KaratsukiNumemon smiled.
"Oh, I'm learning a bunch of new definitions." As J.P. made the shaky sarcastic remark, Takuya moved and started up the ladder.
"Come on." Takuya egged them on.
Before Meredith followed Takuya up, she put DemiVeemon in her backpack. She was followed by Tommy then Bokomon and after Bokomon was Neemon and J.P. and Zoe pulled up the rear of the group.
"You're almost there." KaratsukiNumemon was inside of a house, a house that was on the side of the mountain.
"That's great." Takuya was straining slightly as he spoke.
Tommy glanced over and he saw a shadow was cast on the window beside him. "What's that? Hey wait!"
"Yes!" Takuya was pulling himself into the house when he looked to the side.
"Huh? You're here?" Takuya stared at Koji, Amelia was sitting on the ground against the wall and she waved to Takuya.
"You're the people these guys found to help out?" Koji had a stick in his hands and seconds later everyone had poked their heads in.
"Koji." J.P. sounded kind of surprised.
"Amelia?" Amelia raised her eyebrow at her name, silently asking Meredith if there was more to what the redhead was going to say.
"Yeah, none of us could find any food either, heh heh." Takuya laughed slightly giving a slightly defeated laugh.
"Hey don't lump me in with you guys. These kids aren't going to be able to help you out at all." Koji looked at the KaratsukiNumemon at the end but Amelia nudged him with her foot, giving him a look which he just ignored.
"I'll help you right outside the head!" Takuya curled his hand into a fist and glared at Koji.
"Well at least give us a chance." Koji looked back to them at Tommy's words.
"Thanks, but no thanks. I mean look at you. The only thing you guys would do is get in my way. Can I help it if you're not to my level?" Amelia kicked Koji in his leg at his words.
"We'd be happy for the help." Amelia smiled at them while Koji leaned against the wall, his leg aching slightly but he played it off – just leaning against the wall coolly. Takuya wasn't convinced.
"Watch it stick boy or I'll-" he glared at Koji.
"Gentlemen, gentlemen please!" A slightly older KaratsukiNumemon cut off anything more that would be said.
"My thanks to all of you, for coming to help, and now it's time to eat." The older KaratsukiNumemon bowed the best a snail could.
"All right! Time to chow down!" The group besides Koji and Amelia cheered but Amelia did smile slightly.
Thanks to them all forgetting about the fact that they were laying on the door by holding themselves there, they felt into the house. They fell into the wall since the house was on its side and even if they fell towards Koji and Amelia, they both managed to move out of the way quickly enough so they weren't landed on.
"Well, at least we'll get some good food to make us feel better." J.P. got the words out even though he was in the middle of the dog pile.
When the food was brought out, the group stared at them. The food was different colored heads of lettuce.
"Is that what I think it is?" Takuya sounded obviously disappointed.
"I don't know, looks like rabbit food." J.P. stared at the food, also disappointed.
Amelia shook her head at them and picked up one of the heads of lettuce that she and Koji had been given. Koji glanced at her but she peeled off one of the leaves and took a bite out of it.
"Delicious." Amelia muttered the word so quietly that only Koji had heard it and he sighed before picking up one to try.
"Well at least rabbits get to eat. Here goes nothing," Zoe picked out a brown head of lettuce and grinned when she tasted it, "Molto Bono! Dig in! Tastes like steak!"
That was all it took for the others of Zoe's group to pick up one of the heads of lettuce. They all grabbed different colored lettuce heads as well, and all together, they took a bite.
"Mine tastes like chicken!" J.P. nearly cried out in surprise.
"Mine's like a potato." Tommy smiled, happy with what he was given.
"I got a strawberry!" Meredith took a couple more bites, offering some to DemiVeemon.
"Mine's just like asparagus!" despite Takuya's happy tone, he was given strange looks that was mixed with disgust and yucks.
"I like asparagus!" Takuya shouted at them, sounding defensive.
Takuya glanced over to Koji and Amelia. While they weren't sitting alone they weren't talking at all. They were quiet and not even facing each other. Koji had his back to Takuya and them while Amelia was leaned against the wall, watching them or just staring through them.
"How'd they get here?" Takuya looked at the KaratsukiNumemon as he asked the question.
"Oh, they fell from the sky!" The KaratsukiNumemon said it and Takuya looked at him rather surprised.
Meredith glanced at Takuya and she noticed that for once he wasn't wearing his gloves. The fact that he didn't wear them revealed a red, orange, and yellow bracelet was on his wrist. Seeing the bracelet, she smiled since it was a friendship bracelet she had made for him. She brought her green, blue, and indigo friendship bracelet to eye level.
:Flashback:
Meredith sat on the couch, waiting for her mother to come. It was her ninth birthday and her mother was coming. Her younger brother was even coming and Meredith found herself nervous for some reason. When the doorbell rang, she was up and running to the door. She opened the door and she smiled widely when she saw her mom.
"Mom!" Meredith jumped, arms up and open for a hug.
Meredith's mother bent down and hugged Meredith. Once she got her hug from her mother she hugged her brother. She was nearly bouncing up and down.
'How long has it been since I've seen them?' Meredith backed up so her mother and brother could enter.
"Happy Birthday, sweetie." Her mother was smiling and her brother tackled her into a hug.
"Happy Birthday sissy!" Meredith giggled as she held her brother.
"Welcome Catrin." Meredith's father didn't sound completely happy and Meredith's mother's smile twitched slightly.
"Hello Ryota." There was a certain kind of tension in the air.
"Akio and I can't stay long." Meredith frowned at her mother's words.
"But it's my birthday." Meredith's mother frowned.
"I know." Meredith looked at Akio; he was still smiling at her.
"Guess what sissy!" Akio stood up and Meredith tilted her head.
"Mama got you a present!" Meredith smiled and looked to her mother.
"Really?" Meredith's mother nodded and bent down, pulling out a parcel that was wrapped.
"Open it." Meredith took it and unwrapped it to find a box that had pictures of different bracelets decorating it.
"A friendship bracelet kit?" Meredith tilted her head.
"Yeah, if you make one for someone, that means you're really friends with them. Only make bracelets for those that you're real friends with, ok Meredith?" Meredith was confused but nodded; the only person that came to mind was her friend Takuya for some reason.
"Why?" Her mother laughed slightly.
"There this legend that if you make a friendship bracelet for someone, you'll always be friends with them." Meredith was surprised but smiled.
"Make lots of real friends, sweetie." Meredith grinned and nodded.
"Promise!" She held the kit in her hands tightly.
The days following Meredith's birthday she worked hard on two bracelets. She choose the colors carefully, well she just felt like certain colors fitted better than others did. She ended up with a bracelet that was red, orange and yellow which reminded her of the color of fire almost. The other bracelet was blue, green, and indigo.
Once she was finished with the bracelets she ran to her friend's house. He was the only real friend that she could think of. She held the fire colored bracelet in her hands while she wore the other one on her wrist. As though was met with her friend in his driveway, he had been headed somewhere but he grinned seeing her.
"Meredith!" He put his hands on his hips.
"I was just coming over to see if you wanted to play some games!" Takuya was laughing slightly while Meredith approached him.
"I um, want to give you something Takuya." He tilted his head.
"Whatcha wanna give me?" Meredith hesitated but she offered the bracelet to him.
"It's a friendship bracelet." She wasn't sure how he would react.
"Huh?" Takuya was confused and the girl gulped.
"My mom said that if I made it for my friends, then we could be friends forever." Meredith chewed on her lip and when she started to withdraw her hands, the bracelet was taken from her hands.
"Friends forever!" She stared at Takuya; he was grinning widely once more and putting the bracelet on.
"Friends forever!" she beamed, showing her bracelet.
:Flashback ends:
By the time everyone was done eating their fill, the sun was setting. After dinner, it was also time to talk strategy; after all, they had some girls to rescue before something bad happened to them. Not saying being taken and kidnapped isn't bad.
"Daemon has the captives in a cave. It's right about... here." Koji points to the area on a map.
"We'll have to get in and out quickly." Koji looked at them, hoping to stress that point.
"There isn't a lot of room up their either so we also need to be careful. He came out of nowhere pretty much so be watchful to." Amelia added it in and the KaratsukiNumemon groaned in unease.
"Just relax." J.P. addressed the KaratsukiNumemon with a smile and they let out a sigh of relief.
"Have no fear; leave everything to us Legendary Warriors!" J.P.'s words had the KaratsukiNumemon backing away from them and towards the walls, they had all gasped nervously.
"What's the matter?" Zoe was worried from their reaction.
"You mean you're all Legendary Warriors?" The KaratsukiNumemon that was the leader was the only one brave enough to talk.
"Yeah, in the flesh!" Takuya grinned as he spoke.
"Well, Amelia isn't actually." A confused Koji threw it out, which actually got both Koji and Amelia glances.
The KaratsukiNumemon group together in a corner away from the group, they were starting to whisper about something. They would cast glances at the group every couple of seconds.
"Hey, what got them so worked up?" Tommy asked the question to no one in practical.
"Believe me; I'd have trouble believing you were Legendary Warriors too." Bokomon spread his arms out as he spoke.
"I don't think that's the reason Bokomon." Meredith voiced it, eyeing the KaratsukiNumemon.
"Ahem, it's time to go to bed." The KaratsukiNumemon leader but in but Takuya stood up.
"And I say, it's time for us to rescue the girls!" Takuya was looking at the KaratsukiNumemon leader.
"Ah no, no! Get some rest first. And then you can tackle the job in the morning." The KaratsukiNumemon leader laughed a bit nervously.
"Huh? Uh… Okay." Takuya sounded confused but everyone was confused.
"Now off to bed with you." The KaratsukiNumemon ushered them off and they went to bed.
They went to where they would be sleeping. This building was also on its side so the beds were on the side of building so the gang was given some leaves to sleep on. The leaves weren't completely comfortable and Takuya turned over which ended up with him facing Koji. Koji opened his eyes.
"What?" Koji's tone was harsh.
"Huh? Hey, you know, I didn't like you at first, but you're alright helping the KaratsukiNumemon and all." Koji turned his back on Takuya and just gave an 'hmph' in reply to Takuya's words.
"Huh?" Takuya was confused by Koji's reaction.
"They helped me first, but don't think I'll help you." Takuya turned over and faced away from Koji when he spoke.
'Yeah, like I'd even want your help.' That was Takuya's last thoughts before dozing off.
The gang slept in peace for a while, but they all got one of the worst surprises when they woke up. They woke up to find that they were tied up. Not only where they tied up but they were hanging from the cliff.
"What's going on here?" Zoe was the first to find her words.
"I don't wanna know!" J.P. stared at the drop that they would get to experience if they fell.
"Is this some kind of a joke? Cause it's not funny!" Meredith yelled while Koji noticed that the KaratsukiNumemon had knives held to the ropes that held them.
"What're you doing?" Koji stared at the KaratsukiNumemon.
The others looked up and saw what was going on. Takuya was between Koji and Meredith. Zoe was on Meredith's right and J.P. was on Zoe's right. Bokomon was on J.P.'s right and Neemon to his right while DemiVeemon was between Neemon and Tommy. Tommy was at the end. Amelia was hung beside Koji and she had her eyes glued on the KaratsukiNumemon, not wanting to fall a second time.
"We'll give you back to your partner, in exchange for our women!" The elder glared at them as he spoke.
"You dirty sneaks! Is that why you brought us here?" Takuya was angry and yelling at the KaratsukiNumemon.
"Hmph! I think it is you who are the dirty sneaks! Pretending to be kind, helpful strangers, when you're Legendary Warriors!" The elder's words confused them.
"I don't understand! What's wrong with that?" Zoe stared at the KaratsukiNumemon, half afraid and half annoyed.
"The time for your games and lies is over! Soon you'll be back with your ally!" The blades that the KaratsukiNumemon held got just a little closer to the ropes.
"Ally?! What are you talking about?!" Koji yelled as he glared.
"Don't play dumb! You're all in league with Daemon!" KaratsukiNumemon's words caught them off guard.
"What?! Are you crazy?!" Meredith shouted at the KaratsukiNumemon.
"Why would we offer to help you if we were working with him! He was probably the one who threw Koji and me off the freaking mountain!" Amelia yelled, growling slightly.
Suddenly there was an explosion. The mountain shook slightly and the gang was worried they'd fall considering that the explosion came from the side that they were hanging on.
"Give me the Fractal Code or you won't be happy!" The voice that boomed was deep and sent shivers down their spines.
"Oh yeah? Says who?" As Takuya nearly challenged the voice.
It was then that Daemon appeared. He wore a dark red cloak that was grey going down in a triangle from his neck and nearly to the bottom going thinner the closer to the bottom it got. His face was covered thanks to a pointy hood he wore, the only visible thing were glowing reddish eyes. White horns curved out the side of his head and he had bat like wings that easily had a twelve foot wingspan, the arcs of the wings were black while the inside of the wings were a dark purple. He had dark purple shoes on and his hands were nearly covered by his cloak and they were clawed.
"That's Daemon, a Demon Man Digimon, that is one nasty Digimon." Bokomon spoke but his voice wavered, terrified.
"Why thank you, my reputation precedes me." Daemon chuckled.
"Daemon! If you want to save your allies, give us back our women now!" The Elder KaratsukiNumemon addressed Daemon, but the demon Digimon only laughed a bit harder.
"Those knives are a little close there!" J.P. was started as he saw how close the knives were.
"Go ahead and cut them down. I don't care." Daemon watched, waiting for what the KaratsukiNumemon would do.
The KaratsukiNumemon looked at each other before shrugging. This caused massive panic for the group while Daemon stayed where he was. He didn't move a muscle and he didn't give any hint of a reaction.
"Wait, you mean you really don't care about them? But they're Legendary Warriors!" The KaratsukiNumemon were more bothered by the fact that Daemon wasn't moving to do anything for his allies.
"Of course he doesn't care, we're not his allies!" The words spilled out of both Meredith and Amelia's mouths at the same time; Daemon started to laugh.
"They are right, they're not my allies. It would be more help than harm if you dropped them." Through Daemon's voice you could hear the smirk he wore.
"Wait, what's going on here?! You mean you're not allies?" The KaratsukiNumemon started to withdraw the knives and Daemon narrowed his eyes.
"Of course not!" Meredith was glaring at the KaratsukiNumemon.
"That's what we've been trying to tell you!" Tommy shouted it at them.
Daemon's hand twitched before putting his hands together, noticing what was going on Koji figured that the demon was about to attack. There was no time though before Daemon attacked; his arms seemed to have stretched. The group barely managed to dodge the fists that came at them and it made the whole mountain shake when he hit the side of the mountain. The KaratsukiNumemon screamed, fleeing up the mountain dropping the knives. Koji groaned but pushed off of the mountain and he managed to get free but now he was falling.
"Koji!" Amelia shouted his name but then there was burst of light.
"Spirit!" Koji was quickly wrapped in the light.
"Execute: Spirit Evolution!" Within the light the armor formed and fitted to Koji.
"Lobomon!" Emerging from the light Lobomon caught the rope that had once previously held him and swung towards Daemon.
Lobomon aimed to kick Daemon but the demon jumped backwards, spreading his wings and moving out of reach. Lobomon landed where Daemon had previously stood and he raised his fist getting ready to attack but Lobomon raised his arm.
"Howling Laser!" Lobomon managed to hit Daemon that time, sending him crashing into a house and Lobomon followed.
While Lobomon kept Daemon busy, the KaratsukiNumemon helped the others up and cut them free once they were safely on the wooden poles that stuck out the side of the mountain. While everyone was sitting there just being relieved, Amelia was standing, staring towards where Lobomon was fighting because she had a feeling that he wouldn't be a match for Daemon alone.
"I am so sorry! I have made a grave mistake!" The elder KaratsukiNumemon felt horrible about what he had done.
"Look there's no time for that now, but later..." Takuya didn't get to finish because Lobomon went past them and crashed into one of the houses below.
"Certainly that isn't all you got." Daemon was laughing while Lobomon was barely hanging on since he had also crashed through the other side.
"We need to fight to!" Takuya stood up and pulled out his D Tector.
"Yeah!" The others pulled out their D Tectors and the Fractal surrounded their hands while Amelia just curled her hands into fists.
"Execute: Spirit Evolution!" As they began that process Daemon held his hand out.
"Agunimon!" As Agunimon emerged and was going to attack fire appeared in Daemon's outstretched hand, facing Lobomon.
"Sakanamon!" As Sakanamon formed, the fire went rocketing towards Lobomon who was having issues pulling himself up.
"Evil Inferno!" Even if Agunimon jumped at Daemon in the next second the attack was already headed for Lobomon.
"Kazemon!" Kazemon was off and flying towards Lobomon while Sakanamon held her hands out.
"Tempest Whirlpool!" Sakanamon's attack collided with Daemon's.
"Beetlemon!"
"Kumamon!"
Kazemon went to help Lobomon up but the lone wolf was being difficult to get along with and wouldn't take the hand that Kazemon was offering, which was problematic since Sakanamon's Tempest Whirlpool was having trouble with holding off Daemon's Evil Inferno attack.
"Crystal Freeze!" Kumamon tried to freeze the fire but it did nothing.
Beetlemon went to assist Agunimon in facing off against Daemon. Lobomon also accepted Kazemon's helping hand after a few moments and they left the building just in time since it was shortly engulfed in flames since Tempest Whirlpool failed to hold it back. Lobomon, Kazemon and Kumamon also joined in the fight.
"Pyro Darts!" Agunimon barraged Daemon with his attack but the demon only raised his arm, blocking them instead of takin damage.
"Thunder Fist!" Beetlemon tried to hit Daemon only to get dodged and then sent crashing into the side of the mountain.
"Hurricane Wave!"
"Crystal Freeze!" The two takes mixed together but Daemon only took to the sky.
"Howling Laser!" Lobomon tried to shoot him down but missed.
"Turquoise Rain!" Sakanamon managed to get Daemon with that.
"Kazemon, Kumamon, go and free the captives!" Agunimon shouted the words and Kazemon grabbed Kumamon, they took off towards the cave.
"Evil Flapping!" Daemon flapped his wings and caused fire to rain down on them, even Agunimon was damaged by Daemon's fire.
"Give me something please." Amelia stood where she had after being freed, nearly forgotten all together.
She pulled out her D-Tector, staring at it. She gripped it tighter but there was no reaction from it. The white and faded brown D-Tector that had flecks of green gave no sign that it even functioned. Amelia looked from her D-Tector to the others who were struggling to get back up. Daemon had raised his arm and was going to attack again.
"Hey, you giant ape!" Amelia shouted and Daemon looked at her, as did the others.
"Amelia!" Sakanamon shouted her name because suddenly Daemon had turned to look at her.
"Leave my friends alone!" Daemon narrowed his eyes at her.
"Don't tell me what to do you puny human!" Daemon held his hand out towards her but he was forced to dodge a laser shot by Lobomon.
There was a beep and a crackle which caused Amelia to look back to her D-Tector. The screen had lit up and a symbol had appeared. She stared at it.
"It is time." There was gasps from somewhere above.
"The ancient tree!" The KaratsukiNumemon could be heard crying, Amelia looked up, a Spirit had phased out of the tree and was coming for towards her.
"That's mine!" Daemon went for it, but Amelia held her D-Tector up, facing the Spirit.
"You're wrong, that's mine! Spirit!" Just before Daemon could grab the Spirit, it was yanked in by the light that came from Amelia's D-Tector.
"Execute: Spirit Evolution!" Eyes were on Amelia now.
The armor that belonged to Amelia's spirit appeared, fitting to her body before becoming fused with her very body. She spun almost like a top on her feet that were covered by boots made of wood as her hands were crossed in front of her face. As her hands moved away from her face a mask of wood appeared and she opened her eyes to reveal soft green eyes, as she opened her eyes she stopped, standing on her platform. Her sienna and grass green striped hair seemed to be caught in a breeze though.
"Legnamon!" Legnamon stared Daemon down and the wood tendrils that were wrapped around her arms slowly uncoiled and started to grow longer.
"Why you!" Legnamon jumped backwards, dodging Daemon and she held her hands out.
"Wood Thorn!" Thorns of wood shot from her hands that suddenly looked more wooden than human.
The wooden thorns were mostly dodged by Daemon but he got hit by one in the arm. The demon narrowed his eyes and grabbed the thorn – it was more of a stake than a thorn – so he could pull it out of his arm. Legnamon landed on the side of one of the buildings.
"Wooden Hug!" Nothing happened so Daemon started to laugh but that was cut short when roots shot out the side of the mountain, wrapping Daemon into a tight sphere.
"This is tiring." Legnamon muttered and stood, as she stood though, her masked cracked.
The wooden prison that Daemon was in suddenly caught fire, and fire rushed in every direction. Everyone focused on dodging so when they looked back to where Daemon should've been only not to see him they started to get worried.
Elsewhere Kazemon and Kumamon had reached the cave that held the KaratsukiNumemon women. The women looked a little fearful but Kazemon and Kumamon smiled at them.
"We're not going to hurt you, stand back ok?" The KaratsukiNumemon women hesitated but nodded and backed up like Kazemon had asked.
"Hurricane Wave!" Kazemon easily not only broke the lock but the bars as well.
"Right this way, ladies." Kumamon smiled as he swept his arm towards the exit.
The KaratsukiNumemon women didn't hesitate to leave the cave, happy to be out of that cage. Once out of the cave, they were met with their men. It was a happy reunion between the KaratsukiNumemon.
"We owe you a great debt, brave heroes." The elder's words made Kazemon and Kumamon laugh while a thunderstorm kicked up outside.
Now that Daemon was gone, at least for the moment, the others were taking the chance to climb the rope ladder back towards where they had stayed.
"Careful, it's slick." Neemon spoke it but Agunimon sighed.
"You don't have to tell us." He spoke and they were all taking care to climb carefully.
"Bokomon, mind telling us who Legnamon is?" Beetlemon called it up to Bokomon who was under an part of cliff that sheltered him, DemiVeemon and Neemon from the rain.
"Let's see." Bokomon pulled out his book, careful not to get it wet.
"Legnamon, Legendary Warrior of Wood." Bokomon read it from the book before looking at Legnamon, her mask had fallen away to reveal a pale face that was clearly strained and tired.
Beetlemon who was flying looked from Bokomon and when he looked to the mountain he saw it.
"Whoa, look at that! All that rain is tumbling down the mountain like a... wait a minute. That gives me an idea! Hey Daemon, where are you hiding, you fraidy cat?" Beetlemon was looked at like he was crazy.
Beetlemon barely had the chance to reaction when fire rained down onto him from nowhere. The fire was the same as they had been hit with earlier so there was no doubt that Daemon had heard Beetlemon and disliked what the warrior of thunder had said. Agunimon, Lobomon and Legnamon sped up to get up off of the ladder and that caused them to miss the chance to warn Beetlemon of an attack from Daemon yet they stopped at the top of the ladder, there attention pulled away from climbing.
"Double Dust!" Beetlemon barely dodged the attack and Daemon ended up close to the mountain.
"Thunder Fist!" Beetlemon acted like he was going to hit Daemon, which caused the demon to dodge to the side, but once Beetlemon's fist connected to the mountain side, a rock slide was caused.
"Nice job!" Agunimon cheered since the rock slide had caused Daemon to get taken down with the tumbling rocks.
"Yeah, it was, wasn't it?" Beetlemon was proud of himself.
"But where are the captives?" As Lobomon asked the question Kazemon and Kumamon joined them, Kumamon being held by Kazemon.
"There!" Kumamon pointed to the KaratsukiNumemon, they were all together on another mountain part while some were actually still crossing the rope that was connected to the mountain part.
"Boy, sure must be nice to get back to you're family." Beetlemon was staring at the KaratsukiNumemon as they had their reunion.
"Guys, I think it's too soon to celebrate." Sakanamon was staring at the Fractal Code that had been revealed by Beetlemon's attack.
"Hey, what's that?" Beetlemon asked the question that he felt like he already had the answer to.
"It must be the mountain's Fractal Code." As Kazemon spoke there was harsh sound as something cut through the air quickly and when they saw the black mass and it stopped, it revealed that it was none other than Daemon.
"Oh no, Daemon!" Kazemon stared and Daemon started to laugh.
"Thank you Warrior of Thunder, you've given to me the Fractal Code for this mountain! Evil Inferno!" The attacked hit Beetlemon first and he was forced backwards and slammed into Kazemon and Kumamon.
It didn't just stop there because somehow Daemon's attack had split or Daemon had released two attacks because the others were hit as well. Agunimon, Lobomon, Sakanamon and Legnamon all fell but Kumamon who was falling ahead of them saw it and morphed his body structure and he stuck to the side of the mountain.
"Hey, grab onto me! Frozen Tundra!" Kumamon now looked like ice and it did prove a place for the falling Warriors to grab, DemiVeemon who had also been knocked off landed as well.
Kazemon and Beetlemon caught themselves by using their wings. Beetlemon charged Daemon but the demon just slammed Beetlemon with his hands and sent the warrior of thunder flying and he knocked into Bokomon and Neemon. Beetlemon and Kazemon managed to catch Bokomon and Neemon though.
"That was close." Bokomon's voice shook slightly and he stared down towards the ground.
"Is that all you can manage 'Legendary Warriors'? If that is all you can do with your Human Spirits, why not use your Beast Spirits?" The group was confused.
"Beast Spirits?" Daemon barked out laughing when Takuya said that.
"You're pathetic if you don't even know what the Beast Spirits are!" Daemon turned to the Fractal Code as he laughed.
"This Fractal Code is taken in the name of Cherubimon." As he spoke, Daemon absorbed the Fractal Code and the mountain started to shake pretty violently.
"Our mountain is no more!" The elder yelled the words while other KaratsukiNumemon were screaming in terror.
Ropes that tethered the other mountain parts to the main mountain snapped. The mountain was crumbling away and there was more violent shaking. Kumamon came unstuck from the wall which left Agunimon, Lobomon, Sakanamon, Legnamon, DemiVeemon, and Kumamon falling downwards into a hole. Kazemon and Beetlemon fell into a river after getting hit by some debris, taking Bokomon and Neemon with them.
"Our home, our lives, gone!" The elder of the KaratsukiNumemon was on the verge of tears.
