Amelia belongs to Jeabird, and I thank her and Black Cat Angel for helping me with this story.
The gang finally got back together on the edge of the forest kingdom. Starving and tired, they decided to camp and chow down on some meat apples. Then they discovered the forest was full of these freaky tv trees that showed them videos from the real world. While they were sleeping, Bakumon planted some bad dreams into Tommy. Convinced everyone was against him, he Spirit Evolved to Kumamon and took on his friends. Koji, Takuya, Meredith and Amelia finally figured out that it was Bakumon causing all the trouble. So they Spirit Evolved and ended the digital nightmare. Then Koji got this weird e-mail on his D-Tector. What's that about?
As soon as everyone woke up, they realized something was amiss. They looked around to see what bothered them. Then, they knew what did or rather who. Koji was not with them. Knowing that information, they scurried around like headless chickens.
"What if something bad happened to him?" Takuya asked in worry.
"Oh no, wait! What if something bad happens to us?" Tommy cried.
"Don't say that!" JP cried. "You're scaring me!" but he coughed with and added reply, "Ah, scaring Zoe, heh."
"What's that?" Zoe pointed outward.
The sun shone brightly upon them. They quickly covered their eyes.
"It's called the sun, Zoe. Good eye." Takuya sarcastically retorted.
Zoe scoffed with a hint of an eyeroll.
"Look! I guess Neemon and Bokomon are gone too." Takuya pointed to a sector where they were sleeping. The grass where they slept held their body imprints.
The youngest warrior noticed a note underneath a rock. "Hmm. Hey, it's a note. From Koji."
The note stated: 'I'm going on alone so I can actually get something done.'
Everyone who read it gasped.
Takuya gritted his teeth. "Even in a note, he sounds like a jerk."
Below Koji's note, there were drawn pictures of Bokomon and Neemon with a message of their own. Bokomon's message said 'We're also going.' Neemon's message replied his friend, 'Let me draw it!' Bokomon retorted, 'Gimmie the crayon!' It was odd to have a written argument on paper. It's even weirder they argue over a crayon.
JP crossed his arms. "Man, that Koji sure can be selfish!"
"I guess he likes to be... on his own." Zoe said with her eyes closed. "And given this group, sometimes I understand." Takuya looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
Neemon, in the letter, said, "No, I'm not done using-"
The Warrior of Thunder had had of it. So he grabbed the note, crumbled it, and ripped it to pieces. "He wants to be on his own?! Fine!" he yelled, throwing the pieces up in the air.
Takuya touched his head. "Well at least Koji can take care of himself."
Meredith looked at JP. "You kind of look like a jerk throwing a fit like that." she muttered.
Zoe saw Takuya walking away and kicked a nearby bush. "But what about Bokomon and Neemon?!" he rhetorically questioned. "You think Koji will worry about protecting them?! Augh! I doubt it!" He turned to his friends. "We're gonna have to find them!" he said with a determined smile on his face.
:Amelia:
As Bokomon and Neemon traveled down a hill Koji paused at the bottom by a small pond that held water. Koji got a hand-cup full of water and drank. Bokomon and Neemon debated about why they were following him and about what the strange message could've meant while Koji sighed and pulled out his D-Tector, the screen came to life and showed an image of Lobomon.
"It's driving me crazy. Who sent this e-mail?" He muttered the words but looked to Bokomon and Neemon when they made enough commotion to drawl his attention.
"Stop following me!" Koji took off into the long grass while Bokomon took off after him, dragging Neemon along.
Bokomon who was slow thanks to having to drag Neemon was passed by Amelia who darted out of the trees. She ran into the long grass and she stopped the moment she reached the other side, thankfully she exited a few inches to the side of Koji or they would've tumbled down over the edge that the long grass had hid.
"I can't see them." Neemon said it and Bokomon only sighed.
Bokomon and Neemon broke the edge of the grass and that was where things went, downhill. Bokomon ended up bumping into Koji and Neemon bumped into Amelia, and the Digimon ended up on their shoulders. Thanks to them both Koji and Amelia lost their balance which sent them over the side. They fell into more long grass and started to roll down the hill. Unfortunately for them they hit a rock and ended up getting flung into the air thanks to their speed and the ramp that the rock formed.
"Ack!" The group of four landed on a Digimon made of rock.
Koji and the rock Digimon stood up and jumped away from each other while Amelia was busy nursing her hand that had a gash on it from something that she must've hit when they were rolling down the hill.
"What is that?" Neemon asked as he stared at the rock Digimon.
"A Gotsumon, they're living rocks but they're basically kids and can be real troublemakers, let me tell you." Bokomon replied to Neemon's question.
"What do you want?" Koji cut Bokomon off as he eyed the Gotsumon suspiciously.
"Nothing, so what do you guys want?" The Gotsumon questioned back, watching Koji wearily.
"Nothing, why do you care?" Koji shifted his stance, never taking his eye off of Gotsumon.
"What we want is directions to the Forest Terminal." Amelia spoke, standing up but careful of her hand.
"Sorry about landing on you, Gotsumon." Amelia had Gotsumon's attention and she gave a kind smile, one that actually been seen before – at least by the others present that is.
"Yeah, I could tell you but I'm not gonna," Gotsumon's reply made Amelia roll her eyes while Koji turned to face him but the rock Digimon took off running.
"Follow him, come on, chop, chop!" Bokomon yelled it as he pointed in the direction that Gotsumon took off in.
"Don't tell me what to do!" Even if Koji said that he took off, Bokomon on his shoulder.
"Come on Neemon." Amelia held her hand close to her chest as she started to run after them, Neemon hanging off of her shoulder.
The game of chase went on for what seemed like hours. Gotsumon had stopped running at some point while Koji and Amelia had also stopped running. They were all out of breath and feeling a bit miserable from all of the running with the sun beating down on them. Gotsumon looked at his pursuers before climbing onto a rock and suddenly he was blending in with the rock he was on – perfect camouflage.
"He couldn't have gone far." Koji looked around as he spoke.
"Yes, we saw him climb a rock and then he vanished." Amelia spoke sarcastically as she used her uninjured hand to poke the section of rock that Gotsumon had vanished at – the Digimon did his best to hold still and not do give any reaction.
"Look kid, we're not going anywhere, ok? Just come out." Koji called out the words, his back facing the rock.
"Oh, ok." Gotsumon's camouflage vanished and Koji looked at him, Amelia just stared at Gotsumon unsurprised while Neemon nearly fell off of her shoulder from his surprise.
"I'm still not going to tell you anything." Koji narrowed his eyes at Gotsumon.
"You are just a little brat! I don't think I've ever seen such a disrespectful Digimon!" Bokomon shook his fist at Gotsumon as he spoke.
"Yeah, so what if I am?" Gotsumon responded indifferently to what Bokomon had said.
Something seemed to change a few seconds later. Gotsumon's eyes went wide and he scrambled up the rock. He looked panicked almost as if something bad was happening. Koji jumped onto the rock while Amelia did her best to get up but she ended up using her hurt hand. Once they were all on the rock they got to be witness to something hit the side of the cliff, it turned into fractal code before vanishing. The moment the fractal code of the distance mountain house was gone it cracked and two big chunks fell.
"Daemon." Amelia muttered the name as she stared.
"It has to be." Koji glared at where the destruction had happened as he spoke.
"No!" Gotsumon jumped off of the rock and started to run towards where Daemon was.
"Hey!" Amelia shouted after him, hoping he would stop.
'He can't go by himself, he'll only get hurt!' Amelia looked between Gotsumon and the mountain houses.
'His home.' Amelia narrowed her eyes when she figured it out.
"He can't get away with this! I won't let him!" Despite Gotsumon's brave words, it sounded like he was crying.
"You crazy?! You can't fight that guy! Leave him to me!" Koji pulled out his D-Tector as he spoke and Gotsumon looked at him.
"To you?" Gotsumon was surprised, but Amelia pulled out her D-Tector as well.
"To us actually." Amelia looked at her D-Tector as she spoke while Koji got onto the rock so he was standing beside her instead of hanging on the side of the rock.
"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" Koji was the first of the two to start his evolution and Amelia took a deep breath.
"Execute: Spirit Evolution!" Amelia closed her eyes as hers began.
"Lobomon!" Lobomon jumped off of the rock after his evolution ended and he jumped over Gotsumon.
"He turned into a Digimon! And not just any Digimon, a Legendary Warrior! Maybe there's hope, yet." Gotsumon was in awe as he stared at Lobomon.
"Legnamon!" Gotsumon looked to where Amelia was, but she had been replaced with Legnamon.
"She's a Legendary Warrior as well?" Gotsumon was stunned.
Legnamon jumped and she seemed to glide through the air, like a leaf being carried by the wind. She landed beside Lobomon while Bokomon and Neemon was finally standing on their own. Lobomon and Legnamon looked at each and nodded before they took off running towards where Daemon was bound to be. They reached his location as he was claiming more fractal code.
"Daemon." Lobomon growled the words out and Daemon looked at him.
"Oh, this is perfect, you came to me. I was looking for you too." Daemon's voice was cruel and you could hear a wicked grin within.
"So what?" Daemon chuckled slightly at Lobomon's words.
"You got away last time but I want your spirit, he'll be very grateful if I get it and give it to him." Daemon raised his hand.
"Evil Inferno!" Lobomon jumped to dodge the attack while Legnamon who had stayed hidden by using some of the long grass spread her fingers out on the ground.
"Wooden Hug!" Daemon took to the sky to dodge Legnamon's attack.
"Oh the Warrior of Wood is also here; perfect, I can get two at one time." Daemon looked directly at where Legnamon was.
"Lobo Kendo!" Lobomon managed to cut Daemon but the demon still managed to hit Lobomon away.
Lobomon slammed into the ground and if he had been human at that second it wouldn't have ended well. Daemon raised both of his hands and sent what seemed like his Evil Inferno attack at both Legnamon and Lobomon. Legnamon jumped away, once again seeming to glide for a few seconds. Lobomon struggled to get up and move.
"W-wha?" Lobomon was confused but Daemon narrowed his eyes.
The fire that should've hit Lobomon missed him, because Lobomon had been snatched away by tendrils of wood having wrapped around him and yanking away. Lobomon looked at Legnamon while she dropped to her knees, the wood that had been wrapped around her arms were cracked slightly.
"Leaf Spiral!" Despite seeming to be weakening Legnamon called out the attack.
A leaf tornado type attack surrounded Daemon and left him trapped. Taking what would only be a couple of seconds most Lobomon stood up and got ready for what would happen now while Legnamon also stood.
"Hammer Knuckle!" The leaf tornado was gone and Daemon's fists were coming down on them.
"Lobo Kendo!"
Dust was kicked up which blocked the results of the clash from being shown immediately, but once the dust was cleared it was shown. The ground was cracked and different parts were higher than other pieces of the cracked ground. Lobomon laid on one of the lower ones while Legnamon was also there but she was half way hanging off of an edge. Gotsumon entered the scene though and he pulled Legnamon away from the edge and he looked at the two.
"Hey get up!" He was as loud as he dared to be since Daemon was looking around, trying to find the two warriors he had lost in the dust cloud.
"It's the jewel! If I could just get that jewel, I can release the Spirit!" Gotsumon stared at the red gem that had fallen from somewhere, but then looked back to Lobomon and Legnamon.
"Found them." Gotsumon's eyes widened and he looked between Lobomon and Legnamon, he could only hide one of them.
Legnamon's eyes cracked open just a little at Daemon's voice. Something was different though, her green eyes were glowing slightly. Her eyes closed and Legnamon seemed to vanish completely. While Gotsumon was curious and worried he decided he would worry about that later and he covered Lobomon. Daemon growled and as he turned he flapped his wings, every last bit of lingering dust flew away scattered by the strong gust his wings caused.
"Figures in the dust." Daemon growled the words out and moved somewhere else.
Gotsumon got off of Lobomon, sparing at glance at Daemon before trying to find Legnamon. Legnamon was still missing though. Lobomon shook slightly but he managed to push himself up into a sitting position.
"Thanks." Gotsumon looked at Lobomon.
"Don't thank me till we're out of here." Gotsumon was starting to run but Lobomon managed to grab him.
"Where's Legnamon?" Lobomon's eyes scanned the area.
"She's fine, she did something to hide herself." Gotsumon said it and stared at Lobomon, hoping that the Warrior of Light wouldn't be able to tell that he wasn't exactly telling the truth but not exactly lying either.
Lobomon got up and with one last look he followed Gotsumon, choosing to hope that the rock Digimon was right. Gotsumon led them to a place where there was a lot of different Gotsumon. Sitting against the wall he reverted. Koji leaned against the wall, tired but doing his best not to show it off. Bokomon and Neemon were present as well.
"Is there anything we can do?" Bokomon stared at Koji worriedly.
"No." Koji didn't bother to open his eyes and look at Bokomon.
'Where did Amelia go?' Koji's thoughts wondered there against his wishes.
'She can go wherever she wants, it's not like I care where she goes.' Koji opened his eyes when something hit the table thing in front of him.
"This will make you feel better." Gotsumon spoke, having thrown whatever was in the clam shell.
"I don't need anyone's help." Koji glared at Gotsumon.
"Yeah, I can tell, you did such a great job yourself." Gotsumon's tone was laced with sarcasm.
"So? You can't do better." Koji challenged Gotsumon.
"I will, I'll be a hero, and I won't need any help like you do." Gotsumon declared the words as he moved to the rock that was acting as the door and opening it, the bright light that poured into the dark place made Koji wince and shield his eyes.
"No, you'll just make Daemon angry at us!" One of the two Gotsumon that stopped him spoke.
"He's right, don't make trouble for the rest of us!" The other Gotsumon that had stopped him chimed in.
"Let go!" The Gotsumon with the magnifying glass smacked away the hands that held him.
"Look kid, you just don't stand a chance." Koji's word made the 'hero-wannabe' Gotsumon turn around.
"Yeah maybe I don't. But I can't do any worse than you. I know that for sure. Some Legendary Warrior." Koji's eyes widened at Gotsumon's words.
"And the rest of you are no better!" Gotsumon was leaving as he called that back over his shoulder.
"Crazy kid's got rocks in his head." One of the Gotsumon that had stopped him said it as he watched Gotsumon go off.
"He's gonna get us destroyed." As the Gotsumon spoke Koji narrowed his eyes and looked to the ground.
"Unless he really does find the spirit." That caught Koji's attention.
"The spirit!? If Daemon gets that, I'll never stop him!" The Gotsumon looked at him.
The Gotsumon told them about the ruins and that there was an inscription on one of the statues. Koji, Bokomon, and Neemon headed there. Once there Bokomon and Neemon were at the 'inscription' while Koji was looking at the moss covered ruins.
"They said there's an inscription but I don't see it." Bokomon was confused.
"Maybe it's this thingy." Neemon spoke while feeling up the Symbol of Light that was on the rock.
"But that's the same mark as Lobomon's. I wonder if that means that Koji's Beast Spirit is here somewhere." When Bokomon said that Koji pulled out his D-Tector.
Koji started to push buttons on his D-Tector and while doing there the screen displayed two dots. He was confused but he took a step and one of the red dots moved. He looked in the direction the other dot was and was going dismiss it since it lead to a tree, but he saw something.
"What's wrong?" Neemon asked with no real sense of urgency even though Koji was running towards the tree.
He reached what he had seen, a white and faded brown D-Tector that had flecks of green. He stared it.
'That's Amelia's D-Tector.' He picked it up as he thought and he peeked around the tree but there was no Amelia.
"If her D-Tector is here, where is she?" Bokomon asked the question while Koji looked around.
"Up there, up there!" Neemon chanted it as he jumped, pointing upwards.
Koji looked up and sure enough, there was Amelia. She was unconscious though and the tree seemed to have grown around her, holding her to it. The reason she hadn't fallen out of the tree was because the tree itself was holding her.
"Why did she leave her D-Tector down here?" Neemon asked it while Koji pocketed both his and her D-Tectors.
"Idiot!" Bokomon snapped Neemon while Koji started to climb the tree.
"How did she get all the way over here from where they fought Daemon is what you should be asking!" Koji was careful as he got onto a branch that was close to the one that Amelia was on.
He reached out and to his surprise the tree retracted the wood that held Amelia slowly. Koji switched so he was on the same branch as her, thankful the branch seemed sturdy enough to hold them both. Once he had Amelia he jumped out of the tree. He sat her on the ground, leaning her against the tree.
"Gotsumon did say she did something to hide herself, but how did she end up over here?" Koji looked at Bokomon but he shook his head.
"Your guess is as good as mine Koji." Koji sighed and looked at Amelia before pulling out his D-Tector.
"What are you doing now?" Neemon asked it only to get snapped again.
"The D-Tector can sense spirits. How can you possibly live here and not know these thing?" Bokomon scolded Neemon.
Koji got nothing from his D-Tector, he didn't even get a similar response as he did when he got the red dots either. Even when he pressed the same buttons when he was just trying to get some kind of response there was nothing at all.
"Is Amelia going to be ok?" Neemon asked the question and it brought attention to Amelia.
Neemon had poked at Amelia's hand and both Bokomon and Koji were surprised. Blood stained her hand. Koji grabbed her arm gently and looked at her hand, the gash from earlier had stopped bleeding but it had bleed a bit.
Takuya's group was walking through the thick grass with some trouble. The grass was long and thick which made moving around not the easiest thing in the world.
"Stupid thick grass!" J.P. shouted, unknown as to the fact that Daemon had been taking a nice nap nearby and his shout had woken Daemon up.
"I'd give anything for a lawnmower!" J.P. continued to be loud.
"Or a gag." Zoe grumbled the words out.
"They're all alive? That'll change soon enough and their spirits will be mine."
Daemon attacked the group and there was an explosion from his attack.
"Who wants to be defeated first?" Daemon taunted them as he looked them over.
"Me!" As Zoe called that out her D-Tector started to react.
"No, me!" Takuya cut in and his D-Tector also came to life.
"Me too!" J.P. spoke up and his D-Tector lit up.
"And me!" Tommy's voice didn't shake as he spoke, sounding brave and his D-Tector flared to life as well.
"Don't forget about me!" Meredith grinned and readied her D-Tector as well.
"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" The five of them all spoke in unison.
"Agunimon!"
"Sakanamon!"
"Kazemon!"
"Beetlemon!"
"Kumamon!"
"Five against one? You guys aren't quick learners, are you?" Daemon laughed, not the least bit afraid even when they all jumped in.
"Pyro Tornado!"
"Tempest Whirlpool!"
"Tempest Twist!
"Thunder Fist!"
"Crystal Freeze!"
No time was given in between the attacks. The five attacks converged on Daemon, but the Warriors got the surprise of their lives so far. Daemon held his hands to the sides and a ring of flames appeared, the ring of flames blocked their attacks and left him untouched.
"You Warriors are far below my level and do not deserve the Spirits you have gotten your hands on." Daemon closed his hands into fists as he spoke while his wings spread out.
"Evil Flapping!" Even if the Warriors had retreated some they were far from safe from the attack.
There was a trace of fire that sparked from his wings and then rings of fire traced the ground below the Warriors. They were all caught up in a vortex of fire and they Warriors struggled to remain in their Spirit Evolutions, even the Warrior of Flames had trouble taking the heat. As the fire died away Daemon was laughing and it was revealed that Kumamon was losing the fight since his Fractal Code had appeared.
"I see a spirit." Daemon's voice was sing-song like and he shot towards Kumamon.
"Tommy!" In the heat of the moment Kazemon called out and she rushed towards Kumamon.
Kazemon was closer to Kumamon that Daemon had been so she reached him first. There was little she could do so she did the only thing she could do. Kazemon shoved Kumamon out of the way and Daemon glared at Kazemon for butting in.
"Double Dust!" Daemon punched Kazemon, sending her in to the sky.
Kazemon didn't have enough energy left to hold onto her Spirit. Her Fractal code showed, surrounding her in a ring. Daemon laughed as he grabbed her Spirit.
"I still got a Spirit!" Daemon was laughing evilly as Kazemon reverted back to Zoe and she started to fall to earth.
"No!" Sakanamon caught Zoe and placed her on the ground, shooting a glare at Daemon as she was visibly angry.
Emotions consumed the Warriors, they were enraged at what had just happened in front of their eyes. They charged Daemon but the demon only dodged them and used his Evil Inferno, it swallowed them all and when it cleared they were all showing their Fractal Code.
"You humans don't deserve these Digital Spirits! I'll take them off of your hands though!" Daemon chuckled as he was moving to take the Spirits.
"Howling Laser!" The attack that came from Lobomon hit Daemon.
Lobomon landed and Daemon glared at him once the light cleared. There was a surprisingly result, some of Daemon's clothes were singed slightly. While there was no obvious damage but the attack had actually managed to do something even if it hadn't been to Daemon himself.
"What's the matter, don't you want my Spirit anymore?" Lobomon taunted Daemon, taking his attention away from the others.
"Are you going to give it to me?" Daemon's voice betrayed he wasn't joking anymore.
"Howling Laser!" Lobomon fired off the attack before turning and running.
The attack clipped Daemon's wing and the demon growled. Lobomon had Daemon's undivided attention now. He took off after Lobomon leaving behind the other Warriors.
"He's gone now. You ok?" J.P. was worried about Zoe, and Tommy was by Zoe, as well where as Meredith, and Takuya was looking at where Lobomon and Daemon had taken off to.
"Yeah but I guess, it's just what good am I to you guys now?" Zoe stared at her D-Tector as she spoke, the screen was just static.
"So pitiful." Meredith's words had everyone's attention brought to her.
"What does that mean, huh?" J.P. was quick to jump to Zoe's defense.
"I'm trying to make a point here, J.P.!" Meredith retorted nearly as quickly as J.P. did.
"You think you're better than her since you still have your spirit now or something!? At least she isn't always piggy backing off of Takuya like you are!" J.P. yelled at Meredith, not really caring for what she was saying about Zoe.
"I really don't care for getting insulted like that, J.P.!" Meredith yelled.
"Yeah, well I don't see what you're trying to say!" J.P. glared at Meredith.
"Let me spell it out for you then!" The redhead curled her hands into fists.
"If Zoe is just going to sit around and mop about what happened, then she's just pitiful! She's not useless, so there's no reason for her to think that! If she's going to go down that spiral, then she's just going to be that pitiful person who ends up snuffing out their own usefulness because they already think they're useless!" Meredith nearly screamed at J.P. and he backed away.
Meredith was out of breath and panting but Zoe stared at her. She couldn't help but agree with the redhead.
:Amelia:
Bokomon, Neemon, and Amelia were back at the strange statues. Amelia was awake but she was sore from whatever had happened.
"Good, but watch that thing!" Bokomon called it up to Gotsumon who was climbing the statue, trying to put the third gem in.
"And that thing!" Neemon called it up as a small bit of rock fell.
"Why couldn't ya... just fit right here?" Gotsumon complained as he stared at where the red gem had to go.
"You have to work hard for whatever you want, hard work makes you appreciate what you get since you know you earned it." Amelia spoke but her eyes had wondered away, she could hear the sound of the battle getting closer to them.
The battle was going far from good since Daemon was stronger than Lobomon, and Lobomon was doing his best to dodge the attacks while attempting to get a few attacks in. As they broke through the tree line Lobomon got punched in the back by Daemon and sent flying through the air and only stopping when he slammed into the statue.
"Oh no." Amelia grabbed her D Tector when she saw that Lobomon's Fractal Code was showing and he was reverting.
"Exe-!" Amelia stopped, she felt light headed and the Fractal Code hadn't appeared around her hand as it usually did.
"Not good at all, Amelia's too weak to Spirit Evolve!" Bokomon's voice showed his panic.
"Rock Fist!" Gotsumon jumped in front of Lobomon and rocks appeared in the air around him.
"Hey! Now put that in the statue! Hurry!" Gotsumon struggled to get the words out since he was struggling to hold Daemon off.
"You measly whelp!" Daemon was angry.
"But why?" Koji stared at the gem that he had caught.
"When the third eye shines, the Legendary Spirit will awaken! Take it!" Gotsumon was having trouble speaking for a good reason.
"The Spirit? Why would you do this for me?" Before Gotsumon could respond to Koji, Daemon hit him in the back.
"Stop it!" Koji shouted it at Daemon, who was now pounding away at Gotsumon.
"Hurry, do it!" Gotsumon managed to shout the word despite the pain.
Koji growled slightly but he grabbed a conveniently vine and with the help of that he made his way around the statue and to the hole that the gem is supposed to go into. He inserted the gem into the hole and it glowed. The moment it started to glow the ground shook and Koji was knocked off of the rock and started to fall. A light rose from the ground and the statues started to rotate on their own.
"I hope this is good!" Neemon was staring as he spoke.
"We all do!" Bokomon sounded a bit afraid.
"That's not good." Daemon stared at the light as he spoke, having stopped beating on Gotsumon to stare at the light.
The statutes stopped rotating once they were facing Daemon and the three gems let out a beam. The beams converged and as they past Daemon he was nicked by them and he was harmed by them. The beams hit a point in the ground where light starts to pour out from and a Spirit rises out of the ground. The moment it was above ground Koji's D-Tector started to go off.
"Koji, it's your Beast Spirit!" Bokomon cheered and Koji looked at his D-Tector.
"Beast Spirit!" Koji held his D-Tector towards the Beast Spirit as he called out to it.
"I'm not afraid of that since you're too weak!" Daemon looked at Koji, unafraid and self-confident.
"Execute: Beast Spirit Evolution!" Light swallowed Koji as he scanned the Fractal Code that appeared around his hand, there was more present this time than whenever he Spirit Evolved into Lobomon though. He screamed but his scream started to sound like a wolf.
The Fractal Code that surrounded him was a bit more chaotic this time. The armor that started to appear wasn't human like and it was in a different body shape than the Human Spirit's armor was. The armor surrounded Koji and started to fit to him. Once the armor fitted to him it was revealed to be a wolf like armored Digimon that was very much animalistic. There was a cross between a howl and growl let out as he dropped down to his platform. Once on the platform the two blade like wings sprung outwards and he howled.
"KendoGarurumon!" He howled while his armor was mostly white but there was steaks of light purple present on his armor and there was a gold spike looking thing protruding on his chest while his claws were also golden. Once again KendoGarurumon howled, a moon seemed to be form from the light present from the Spirit Evolution.
"KendoGarurumon, the Beast of Light!" Bokomon read the words from his book.
Everyone was staring at KendoGarurumon, amazed by what had happened. DemiVeemon's eyes were shining as he stared at KendoGarurumon.
"Wolf huh? Fitting for Koji." Amelia muttered the words and smiled slightly.
"Why did he find his first?" Takuya was the only one who was by the tree line that could find his voice since everyone was awestruck.
"I could've done that." J.P. said it but even he didn't sound like he completely believed it.
"Let's see if you can control that though." Daemon laughed even though KendoGarurumon looked ready to tear him apart.
"I hope he can beat Daemon." Gotsumon spoke as he stared at KendoGarurumon.
While this was going on, Meredith noticed something. KendoGarurumon's eyes were glowing and that didn't sit well with her. He roared again and the wheels that were on his heels unlocked and touched the ground while his wings opened. He roared shaking his head and drove himself into a tree.
"Something's wrong!" Meredith declared the words as if that wasn't obvious from the actions of KendoGarurumon.
"Ouchie!" Neemon spoke and flinched, just from watching the Beast of Light.
"Oh no, Koji can't control the Beast Spirit yet!" As Bokomon spoke KendoGarurumon crashed into a rock.
"Out of control Spirit, easy picking." Daemon laughed as he went at KendoGarurumon but KendoGarurumon noticed the charge.
"What you cannot control, you will not keep!" Daemon declared the words and KendoGarurumon charged at him; now they were both charging at each other.
"Now this will be big!" Bokomon grabbed Neemon and started to run.
"'Big' big?" As Neemon asked Amelia also ran since she was close to them.
An explosion went off from KendoGarurumon and Daemon meeting in their charge. The ground shook and the ground started to crumble away from where KendoGarurumon and Daemon was.
"Does that answer your question?!" Bokomon asked Neemon.
"Koji!" Takuya shouted, worried about Koji.
Daemon was surrounded by rocks which caused him to be unable to spread his wings and catch himself so he fell into the ocean.
"Koji!" Tommy called out, hoping for some kind of reply.
"Koji!" Amelia shouted his name as she spun on her feet, the crashing of rocks going down the cliff was enough make her look.
When some dust settled it revealed that KendoGarurumon was climbing up and over the cliff. Expecting that he would revert back to Koji since the first time Spirit Evolving seemed to not last long, Amelia bolted towards the edge. Yet she stopped because KendoGarurumon had climbed back up over the cliff and it was glaring at her.
"Amelia!" Meredith called her named, worried about what might happen since it was clear that there was no control.
"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." Amelia raised her hands slowly, backing away slightly but KendoGarurumon came towards her but didn't actually hit her.
The way that KendoGarurumon stopped though, revealed that it was probably going to, but there might been some kind of control that Koji had, and he had enough to have managed to make it stop before it crashed into her. Amelia stared into the blue eyes of KendoGarurumon and hid every ounce of fear she had – barring the fear from entering her eyes or her posture.
"You can rest now, the threat is gone." Amelia kept her voice low, partially to keep her voice from shaking.
KendoGarurumon glared at her but then it started to glow. Amelia gulped not knowing what to expect but there was a swirl of Fractal Code and KendoGarurumon was gone but replaced by Koji. He could barely even stand.
"That spirit sure takes a lot out of a guy." Koji muttered the words as he fell forwards.
Koji was still conscious as he fell but he had no energy left to catch himself or to stand. Amelia managed to catch him before he hit the ground though. She sunk to her knees slowly since she didn't have enough strength to hold them both up since she still felt light headed a little, which had only been made worse by trying to support Koji as well. Everyone stared while Gotsumon approached cautiously.
"I guess to be a hero, I needed your help after all. And you needed mine to be one too. Maybe asking for help is what makes you a hero. Of course having a Beast Spirit doesn't hurt either." Gotsumon spoke hesitantly as he eyed Koji who was struggling to sit up on his own.
'This is what Beast Spirits are like?' Meredith was worried now that she had witnessed a Beast Spirit, maybe they might turn out to be more harm than good – even if Amelia hadn't gotten hurt, Meredith wasn't sure if that wasn't only because Koji ran out of energy.
One Spirit gone, one Spirit gained. Boy, these guys sure know how to keep things interesting. See what will happen next on Digimon: Digital Monsters!
I hated to write this chapter, but it had to be done. I'm still looking for anyone to create and OC and their own Warrior of Earth. Please PM me.
