Amelia belongs to Jeabird, Kyle belongs to Kamen Rifer Heisei, and I thank them, and Black Cat Angel for helping me with this story.

When Takuya Beast Spirit evolved to BurningGreymon, he couldn't control himself at all. So Beetlemon and KendoGarurumon tried to help him, but they were pretty useless. It took a lot of reasoning from Sakanamon and little Tommy to get Takuya to tame the beast within. Meredith insisted that they didn't need Beast Spirits. Then it was off to the Forest Terminal again. But when the gang got stuck in the mud, Daemon showed up and grabbed Tommy and DemiVeemon. So Takuya Beast Spirit evolved and did a little grabbing of his own. He took a Spirit of Earth and returned Kumamon's to Tommy, but Daemon escaped and met up with the evil Demon Lords. Man, those are some freaky fiends.

"Where you going? Barbamon ain't done yet." Beelzemon questioned Daemon as they were still at the evil lair. Watching the virus digimon marching away like that is quite humorous in a way. Having been defeated by a group of kids is a laugh!

"I'm going to the Forest Terminal, I'm going to reclaim what they stole from me." Daemon growled the words out as he clenched his hands into fists. Beelzemon held onto his laughter.

Unfortunately, his comrade read his mind as Lilithmon laughed, "That sounds like a fun time."

Barbamon grinned.

"Tried but couldn't stop him." Beelzemon commented.

"I saw." Barbamon responded to Beelzemon.

Duskmon watched them from afar, "These be my brethren?" He asked himself why Cherubimon insisted on holding onto these morons. They are nothing more than a couple of jesters. They rather see each other fall than accomplishing their task. He looked up at the three moons. They are better company than his comrades.

:The Gang:

The blue cloudy sky was nearly completely blocked out by the fog that hung over the area. Everyone in the group were aching in their soles. Their knew their search was finally over!

Takuya groaned, "I can't believe it. We're actually here."

"My legs can believe it. Oh..." J.P. whined as they walked along the tracks while Meredith glanced at her arm, even though it was bandaged now. It doesn't hurt as much, but it kept a constant reminder in her mind of yesterday.

"There's the sign! 'Forest Terminal'." Takuya sounded nearly out of breath but happy. He practically leaped for joy.

"Um, but shouldn't there be a Trailmon here?" Koji asked as he looked up and down the deserted tracks. It didn't made sense. It was supposed to be a terminal. Where's the station?

"Yeah, really." Zoe spoke, sounding bothered slightly.

"Huh? Well, maybe they're on their way back right now... or, uh, you know they, uh, c-could be... ah man." Takuya gave up trying to speak and just sighed. He absolutely have no idea how to answer that question.

J.P. turned around a few seconds later a wide smile crossed his face, "Hey, who cares about the Trailmon. There's a restaurant here!" His stomach agreed with him as it roared.

There was a small building that was off a dirt path. The doorway had two cut outs that actually looked like eyes and one between the two that looked like a nose while in the doorway hung a banner that had squares of white on it that looked like teeth. The window was barred. The walked over and they found a Digimon that was a blue colored bird with a bush growing out of it's tail.

"Welcome weary travelers." The bird Digimon gave them the best closed eye smile that a Digimon could give.

"What do you have to eat?" Tommy asked curiously with his hands on his hips. He can practically eat anything. He was starving. Well, he's not the only one.

"Ask instead what I don't have to eat. Step right up friends and don't worry about money. For you, the first meal is free!" When the word 'free' came from the Digimon's mouth J.P. ran in with arms up while the others just walked in. It was as if the day had gotten much brighter. Almost as though the heavens were smiling upon him.

As the gang takes a seat on some barstools the Digimon presented bowls of noodles to them before throwing eggs into the air. The Digimon pecked at them which succeeded in breaking them and the eggs actually landed in the bowls and the eggs just seemed to magically cook.

'This smells pretty weird.' Meredith couldn't help but think as she eyed the food in front of her.

"Dig right on in." The Digimon spoke and everyone smiled.

"Hail to the Chef!" Everyone spoke in unison. Their stomachs sung in harmony. They couldn't wait to digest the magnificent cuisine of this kind cook.

Everyone took a bite, but it proved to be a bit of a surprise. J.P.'s eyes went wide and he choked slightly. Zoe's eyes twitched while Takuya couldn't even swallow what he had in his mouth. Koji just stopped. They just couldn't handle the food. Their stomachs cried in in pain. Now they wished they never wanted to digest, rather, they wanted to exhaled and never taste it again.

"We must respectfully decline your kind offer of food." Bokomon spoke with eyes closed. He was the first to kindly object the cook's free offer.

Neemon hung his head, "I can't feel my tongue anymore." So much for kindness.

DemiVeemon stared sadly at the bowl that had 'food' in it. Suddenly, eyes turned to Amelia, they stared at her and she blinked as she swallowed the noodle she had just slurped. She gave a nervous grin. One thought came to everyone's mind: how can she stomach this stuff?

"What? Food is food, my parents aren't around often so my sister and I cook. I'm used to things not tasting the best. Besides, it's free. Why waste the food?" Amelia took another bite and watched as everyone stared at her.

"You really are crazy." Meredith spoke as she stared at Amelia but the headphones girl just smiled at her. There was be something wrong with her.

"Alright, alright, what's the big idea?! I just can't believe all of you are going to turn down free food!" The Digimon cut in before Amelia could say anything.

"That was food?!" Zoe spoke with sass in her voice, staring at the Digimon.

"I'm insulted!" The Digimon sounded a bit hurt.

"I'm gonna be sick!" Takuya commented as he looked at the Digimon.

The Digimon gave an evil glare to the group, "Fine, get out of here, kids. Ya buggin' me. Go on and go to the Forest Terminal. They say no one's ever returned from there."

Everyone was silent yet Amelia was still eating, finishing off her bowl.

'Still not the worst I had, never did have the heart to tell my sis she made that cake wrong.' Amelia gave a sad smile at her thought, not being able to shove the memory of her sister's attempt at making a birthday cake for her away from her mind.

"Yeah, well we'll just take our chances. I doubt the Forest Terminal will be any worst than this food." Takuya's words hit the poor Digimon and he started to cry and everyone had their arms crossed besides Amelia.

"Maybe you guys are being a little harsh, he probably tried his best to make the food." Amelia spoke as she sat her now empty bowl on the counter.

"Harsh?! He threatened us!" Meredith snapped at Amelia.

"I'm only talking being so harsh about his food. Not everyone can be a master chef." Amelia looked away after talking, kicking her feet slightly since her feet didn't touch the ground.

"Aw, come on guys. I was just trying to be nice, that's all." The Digimon was crying a river pretty much. So much for his first customers… he offered free food. That was a certified fact it draw in customers like a swarm of bees in a honeycomb.

"Being nice has nothing to do with cooking. And rumors don't matter to us, we've already been told we have to go to the Forest Terminal." Takuya spoke with a firm voice and after that they got up and left.

Koji walked into the fog confidently, "Let's go."

"Ok." Takuya slowly started to follow Koji.

"Yeah." Zoe sounded pretty hesitant.

"Do you really think it's dangerous?" J.P. glanced behind him.

"I don't know, we've come this far. We can't turn back." Tommy spoke before he took a step forwards.

"We've fought Daemon and survived, as long as we're careful I think we'll be good." Amelia muttered the words as she also begun to follow after the others, hands in her pockets. How can they be so harsh to the bird digimon? He was just trying to keep his job in tact. Anyway, they should all be grateful for finally having something to eat. They shouldn't be so picky when it comes to food.

"Hey, don't leave me! I mean wait up." J.P. raised his voice a little above usual as he started to try and catch up to the others.

"This place is empty, too." Koji remarked as they reached a train station. He looked around. Still no sign of a Trailmon. It could be out doing its schedule, but the entire area looked deserted even with the fog.

"Yeah, and just a little bit creepy." Zoe was looking around as she stated that. She shivered. She felt like becoming apart of a horror film. She hoped she's not the first to make a "disappearing act". Without Kazemon, she felt like an added weight to the group. All she can do is hide to a safe corner and wait until the battle is over.

The group were walking in a single file line with Takuya in the lead and he looked at something off to his right. He felt like it is his sworn duty to be leader of the group.

"Keep your eyes peeled, guys." Takuya spoke as he looked back in front.

"For what? All we can see is fog." As J.P. spoke, a tree could kind of be seen in the distance through the fog. He squinted. Wait… is it a tree? Nevermind, it's a tree.

"Well, there have to be some people here." Takuya spoke with a tone between stating a fact and questioning something. It's a terminal for crying out loud! Even Breezy Village has a few population. There's gotta be someone here, right?

"Yeah, someone has to do the up keeping." As Meredith spoke the gang entered the tree and stared up some stairs that were within – well more like it was massive swirling staircase. Great, more walking. What's worse is on the big staircase.

"But what if they're all... ghosts?!" J.P.'s words were met with nervous moans from the others. Zoe became afraid. Hearing J.P. say that, she really felt like she and her friends are part of a horror movie.

"I guess we have no choice but to keep walking." Takuya spoke as they once again entered fog since they exited the tree.

"Man, this world sure loves it's walking." J.P. commented. He sure needed to find a chair or something to sit on. His feet were killing him and his stomach growled in hunger.

Takuya and Koji who were in the lead stopped. They both looked rather surprised as they stared in front of them.

"Huh?" Takuya muttered the word in a questioning tone.

There were two paths, the stairs split out where the branch split. There was now a fork in their path.

"Great. Now what?" Takuya asked the others but yet no one in specific. They can go back down and look for another way around. But it'll take another aching walkathon. The gang were getting anxious in getting this objective out of the way.

Tommy's D-Tector started making noises so he pulled it out of his pocket to look at it. Once he did, a globe shaped map appeared with a purple dot on it. The dot moved and pointed towards the path that went off to the side.

"It's that way." Tommy pointed in the direction his D-Tector had moved.

The group started up those stairs, but they stopped. The reason why they stopped was because small branches had grown over and blocked the path upwards. When they had seen the block, Takuya gained a surprised look and even Koji had a very small hint on his face.

"Huh? Tommy, it's a dead end." Takuya turned towards Tommy as he addressed him.

"Yeah, are you sure it wasn't the other way?" As Zoe asked Tommy, J.P.'s D-Tector started to glow blue.

The glow intensified to a bright light and J.P. held out, pointing it to the blocked path. They turned to look just as the branches that had curved to block the path moved out of the way and opened the path up for them.

"And for my next trick-" J.P. started but didn't finish.

"At least this time the D-Tectors are telling us where to go and offering more help than before." Amelia had cut J.P. off and pulled out her own D-Tector to see if anything weird was going on with it.

"Some explanation would be helpful though." Meredith looked around as she spoke. She would be so glad to have some answers.

The group started to walk up the stairs once more. As they walked through the fog it seemed to grow denser instead of thinning out. There's barely anything out before them. They can barely see each other. They had to stick together like a bird flock.

"Man, I can't see anything in this fog!" Takuya stared forwards, trying to see through the fog but it was hopeless.

"I know, we could be attacked." Koji had to point out the fact that they probably had wanted to ignore.

"Hey, maybe my D-Tector's good for something too." Zoe pulled out her D-Tector and it let off a pink glow and a sudden breeze erupted with her at the epicenter, well her D-Tector at least. She felt glad she was good for something even if it's at a small moment.

The breeze grew stronger and the fog around them started to lift and within seconds the fog completely vanished. With the fog gone they were left with the ability to see what seemed to rainbow colored stones sticking out above the trees. They were all staring in awe. It was like looking at a fairytale castle.

"I hate it when I'm right." Zoe blinked as if not believing what she was seeing.

At the top of the stairs was a castle of multicolored stone. As they continued up the stairs Tommy was still in awe, "This place is beautiful!"

Koji spared a second's long glance to Tommy, "Doesn't mean it's not dangerous."

They reached the end of the stairs, the stains shifted suddenly from wood the stone that was multicolored – that or it reflected the light like a rainbow does.

"What if this is where the person from our D-Tectors lives? We did get a message to come here." Tommy asked as he stopped at the top of the stairs. Their path was blocked by a massive gateway.

J.P. raised his hand and held it a couple of centimeters away from the doors that belonged to the gate, "Well, should I knock?"

"I still don't think it's safe." Koji spoke firmly.

Yet not even a couple seconds after that, Koji's D-Tector started to beep and make other noises. He stared at it surprised as it started to glow. The gate in front of them started to open the moment the light had grown bright and strong. The gate swung open and the gang stared inside, surprised that the gate opened by itself.

"Well, at least they're polite, I guess." Takuya sounded unsure as he stared ahead of them.

"Yeah, that or eager to lure us in there." J.P. spoke, now taking the darker thought path.

The door ahead of them was closed and they all stared, unsure of what to expect. They stood together and no one was moving yet.

"I say we go inside. How bad could it be? Sleeping Beauty used to live in a castle in a forest." After a couple of moments Zoe had spoken up.

Koji gave a slight laugh, "Yeah, well so did the wicked witch."

"Beast as well, right? Wait, why the references?" Amelia questioned before she turned so she looked at Zoe and Koji. Why were they referring to fairy tales?

"We'll never find out what's in there if we don't go in." Tommy spoke as they started to walk forwards, even if he lagged behind.

"Says the kid at the back of the line." J.P. pointed that out as Takuya grabbed the glass-like knocker to knock.

There was no answer though. Even if that was true J.P. and Tommy was looking behind them. Both looked like they were waiting for something or someone to pop out of nowhere.

"Maybe no one lives here." Tommy's voice sounded hopeful.

Takuya looked back to Tommy, "Maybe you should open up a wishful thinking store, Tommy."

As Takuya addressed Tommy, he had pulled out his D-Tector. To their surprise his D-Tector reacted, giving off a red light. The doors opened up as the gogglehead held his D-Tector towards the door.

"Get back, Cherubimon scum!" Everyone stared at the new arrival that had a staff that had a snowflake shape at the end pointed at them.

The Digimon wore a white hat that had a black band at the base of the pointy part. Blonde hair stuck out from below the hat while blue eyes was the only facial feature able to be seen due to the white high collared cape the Digimon wore. The Digimon wore a white long sleeve baggy one piece jumper. A teal vest worn while brown gloved clad hand gripped his staff while the other was curled into a fist.

"Uh, isn't that Wizardmon?" Takuya asked confused.

J.P.'s jaw had dropped and was staring at the Digimon while Tommy was confused as well.

"But he's a different color!" Tommy pointed the thing that should be obvious.

"And meaner." J.P. chimed in to point difference.

Takuya took a step forward with hands curled into fists and raised one of his fists so it was close to his chest. He stared the Wizardmon semi-look-alike down. They can do this! The digimon before them is nothing more than an obstacle in their way.

"We can beat him!" Takuya spoke with confidence, "Just like we beat Daemon!"

The Digimon stared him down without giving any reaction, "Daemon? But he's one of Cherubimon's goons."

Takuya didn't back down and no one looked afraid. He was still staring the Digimon down, not flinching or worried about what could happen.

"Yeah!" Takuya exclaimed confidently.

"So you're not allies with Cherubimon?" The Digimon questioned without lowering his staff.

"Are you kidding?" Zoe asked the question almost sounding offended.

Meredith pulled out her D-Tector when it started to beep. Suddenly her D-Tector was glowing just like the others yet it was a tad different than the others. Small figures, that were in the shapes of her and the others, were made of water and it recreated a battle that they fought against Daemon, all together. The water scene was sped up compared to the actually speed of the battle so it barely lasted a minute.

Koji approaches the Digimon. "Look, why don't you put that wand down, ok?" Koji didn't give much emotion as he spoke, "We're all on the same side, isn't that obvious?"

The Digimon lowered his staff, "This is what comes of fighting too much. Everyone seems to be an enemy."

Takuya eyed the Digimon, "We got a message that told us all to come to the Forest Terminal, but there was no one there, and when we kept walking, we ended up here at your doorstep." He reasoned with the protector of the majestic palace.

The Digimon stared at Takuya before blinking, "Ah, a message. Could it be?"

Everyone stared at the Digimon, waiting for what would happen now.

"My solitude is driven common curtesy from me. I apologize." The Digimon bowed to the group as he took a pause, "My name is Sorcermon. Please come in. I have something important to show you."

As Sorcermon walked into the building, Takuya, Koji, Meredith, and Amelia looked each other. It was an obvious unvoiced question and they all nodded their heads. As they were getting ready to enter, Takuya's D-Tector beeped and when he pulled it out there was a flash of an earthy brown color before the Spirit of Earth came out. In fact, it was following Sorcermon.

"Seems like the Spirit of Earth trusts him." Amelia spoke and her words got almost hesitant nods from the others – they entered and began to follow Sorcermon.

"Where are you taking us, anyway?" Koji asked as he kept an eye on Sorcermon.

"To meet someone." As Sorcermon spoke they were going down hallway that lead to no obvious exit.

"I bet it's a trap." As soon as Koji said that Amelia nudged him.

"You think everything's a trap." Tommy lucked out with no retort from Koji because Amelia elbowed the bandana boy which resulted in him just rolling his eyes.

"Caution is wise, friends, but within reason." Sorcermon stopped in front of a reflective wall as he looked back at the group – addressing Koji's obvious caution.

"This is no trap. This is a prophecy." As Sorcermon spoke the wall opened up as if they were doors and everyone was stunned.

What surprised them more was when they found out that they weren't alone. Inside of the room was a boy with auburn hair and blue eyes. He was wearing an auburn shirt that had a white t-shirt underneath paired with dark colored pants and black fingerless gloves while he wore white shoes. He gave friendly smile but there was a beep and they watched him pull out a D-Tector – a D-Tector that the Spirit of Earth entered.

"Is this who you were talking about Sorcermon?" Amelia asked the question as she eyed the boy.

"There is someone else as well." Sorcermon responded to Amelia rather quickly.

"Who are you? Why are you here?" Meredith demanded as she watched the unfamiliar boy. Obviously, she's not comfortable with the newcomer. They've been here for what, weeks? And they've never come across him until now. She just didn't trust him unless he gave her a reason to join in the gang. It sounds harsh, but she needed to know.

The boy calmly walked up to her and lifted a hand along with a warm smile. "Hi, my name is Innocent Bystander. I hope we can be great friends."

His gesture made JP, Takuya, Zoe, and Tommy chuckled at his joke. Koji rolled his eyes. Great, the holder of Earth can tell jokes; that's what they need in their ragtag team.

Amelia shook her head at his quip. Meredith only raised an eyebrow at the gesture. Seriously, who is this dude? The blue-eyed boy with auburn hair chuckled. "Sorry, my real name is actually Kyle McGrath and I guess now I hold the so-called Spirit of Earth."

Intense eyes remained immune. Kyle looked behind her. "Does she speak or is her special power is laser eyes? Because right now I'm scared she might shoot me with her glare." Meredith's eyebrow twitched.

"So where is he?" Koji asked as they entered the room a bit farther. The room was massive in size. It made everyone feel so small. Not to mention it was as though they were inside a chrysalis.

"Up there." Everyone looked up at Sorcermon's words. They became in awe.

"Huh?" Takuya was surprised.

"Allow me to introduce our salvation, Seraphimon." Sorcermon spoke as he looked at what seemed to be an armored angel fixed to the ceiling by either stone or glass. Frozen in place. Levitating above their heads.

"Um, are we supposed to know who that is?" Zoe asked the question as she looked from the Digimon on the ceiling to Sorcermon.

"Seraphimon was one of the three Celestial Digimon chosen to rule this world." Sorcermon's tone was serious.

"So, what are we supposed to do?" Takuya spoke as he looked back up to Seraphimon, "He's all frozen up."

"Perhaps not for long. There is a prophecy." Sorcermon sounded completely confident, as if there wasn't a hint of doubt in his mind. He believed these children are the prophecy.

"Let your light shine as one." The voice echoed out of nowhere and everyone started to look around for the source of the voice.

"That was Lady Ophanimon!" Sorcermon spoke in surprise as he looked around, "She's the one who asked me to watch over Seraphimon!"

Takuya paused in looking around, "Ophanimon? She must be the voice that told us to come here."

Sorcermon looked to Takuya and the others, "It's all falling into place. I brought you here because the prophecy says that one day, a group of wayward humans will free Seraphimon."

"Typical. Humans get to do everything." Bokomon had his arms crossed and Neemon looked at him when Bokomon continued, "When is my turn?"

"How about next week?" Neemon stared at Bokomon who was pouting.

"Be quiet." Bokomon snapped at Neemon, not physically this time either.

"So what did she mean?" Koji asked while J.P. and Zoe were behind him with their D-Tectors out.

"Hey, I bet it has something to do with our D-Tectors." Zoe looked from her D-Tector to J.P. – their D- Tectors were making sounds.

"Yeah." J.P. didn't even get to finish the single word before their D-Tectors started to glow.

The light from each D-Tector gave off a beam of lightly that was projected onto the ceiling. Their beams of light pointed in different directions and they all followed the path of their beam of light. Yet after a moment Takuya noticed something.

"Hey guys, focus them up there!" Takuya called out and everyone did as he said.

The light all focused on the glass like substance that held the armor Digimon, now known as Seraphimon, to the ceiling. The light caused a spark to appear and light reflected so there was a show of lights reflecting in every direction but something was happening to the 'seal'. The seal vanished as they watched as Seraphimon began to descend to the ground, staring in a mix of surprise and awe. Sorcermon watched intently.

"The prophecy!" Sorcermon practically exclaimed breathlessly.

As Seraphimon changed so that he floated upright Sorcermon spoke, "Welcome back, Lord Seraphimon!" His head was filled with joy. His master has awakened, just like the prophecy foretold.

"It's good to be back, my faithful servant. You have done well." Seraphimon had his back to the group of humans and was instead facing Sorcermon only.

"We're the ones who released you actually." Meredith spoke which drew Seraphimon's attention to the group of humans. Seraphimon was shocked to see a group of young humans in his domain.

"Sorcermon did show us here though." Kyle glanced at Meredith when he added that fact in – they didn't just magically stumble upon him after all.

Seraphimon looked back to Sorcermon, "Sorcermon, tell me. There's so little I remember."

"My lord, when your defeat seemed imminent, Ophanimon was able to get you to safety. She sealed you away from danger so you could be revived after the trouble had passed." Sorcermon spoke honestly as he stared at Seraphimon. The protege's voice wavered as he mentioned Ophanimon's name.

"Ophanimon, that's right! Has she been harmed? Why isn't she here?" Seraphimon spoke with alarm in his voice and Sorcermon hung his head. It was too much to talk about her, but Sorcermon tried his best to explain.

"Truth is often unpleasant, I'm afraid. No one knows where she is." Sorcermon points to the gang, "But these humans have been in contact with her, so all is not lost."

Seraphimon turned to look at the gang, "These humans? But they're only children."

"Yes, but they're also Legendary Warriors. And if not for them, you'd still be stuck to the ceiling!" Bokomon spoke up without any hesitance.

"Legendary Warriors? Impressive." Seraphimon actually did sound impressed.

Takuya stepped forwards and curled his hands to fists, "Hey listen, just what is going on here? We've been led all over getting our snot kicked out, and we don't even know why we were brought into this crazy world!"

Zoe placed her hand on her chest, "Yeah, someone owes us some answers."

Koji also shifted and raised his hand halfway up, "And I think you're that 'someone'. So tell us what's going on."

"Um, please?" Tommy added hesitantly and Seraphimon turned to face them. He was the one in their group who haven't demanded for answers. Don't get him wrong, he's as curious as everyone else's, but it's best to show some manners at least.

Even with his eyes covered they could almost feel Seraphimon staring at them, "Very well, brave ones. I shall tell you."

"If you want answers, you will have them. The story begins long ago when Human Digimon and Beast Digimon wared against each other. Their battle laid waste to the Digital world befouling what was once beautiful. But Lucemon appeared and brought an end to the fighting. For a time, he ruled in peace, but soon he was corrupted by his own power." Seraphimon's voice grew firmer as he spoke more.

"My, this story sure sounds familiar." Bokomon spoke butting into Seraphimon's story.

"Bokomon!" Everyone scolded Bokomon together. They wanted to hear the story without any interruptions.

"What?" Bokomon questioned.

"The Ten Legendary Warriors arose to free the oppressed and abused Digimon. They battled valiantly and after a fierce struggle, they were able to defeat the tyrannical Lucemon! After peace was restored to the Digital World, champions were chosen to protect that peace, Cherubimon, Ophanimon and myself. But as before, our time of harmony was short-lived. Cherubimon wanted to control the Digital World by himself and so, attacked me. You know the rest of the story thanks to Sorcermon. Ophanimon rescued me, and brought me to safety here where I have slumbered and regained my strength until I was awaken by you Legendary Warriors." As Seraphimon stopped Sorcermon gave a very serious look to the group.

"Luckily, you came just when we needed Seraphimon, most. The Digital World is in a crisis, as you can see." When Sorcermon finished talking he raised his staff and a globe with sections missing was projected from the snowflake shape at the end of the staff.

Takuya looked at the image in surprise, "Man, the Digital World looks like Swiss cheese!"

The image remained and everyone was staring at it, and Sorcermon gripped his staff tighter, "And the future looks even more bleak. You see, Cherubimon has sent his minions to destroy it."

"What did I miss?" Kyle asked as he stared at the holy globe. He was the one person who doesn't know what was going on. It was the first time he heard that story, also.

"You've been here as long as we have, so how don't you know?" Amelia looked at Kyle, eying him wearily now. It was too soon to even get too comfortable with the newcomer. She admit, though, he's a funny one.

"When I got here, I was told to come and wait here. I got here pretty easily thanks to the train I took." Kyle spoke with a mix of confidence and uncertainty – then again he had about seven pairs of eyes watching him.

Even without his eyes being visible Seraphimon had his head aimed at the image, "This is even more serious than I'd imagined. We must find Ophanimon at once!"

Sorcermon looked to Seraphimon, "Yes, my lord. Your combined might can surely beat Cherubimon. And of course, you'll have my help. While you slept, I felt that I have too, and I've dreamt only of fighting at your side against that evil creature." he proclaimed with such devotion and pride with each word he spat.

"So loyal, it's nice to know that such loyalty exists somewhere." Amelia muttered the words softly enough that she doubted anyone heard her while her mind faintly flickered back to her so-called 'friends' that betrayed her. Nowadays it's hard to find loyal friends. You have to keep an eye on backstabbers; they are wolves in sheep's clothing.

"Dear, brave Sorcermon, you are a true friend." Seraphimon's voice was proud and fond.

"I am as you taught me." Sorcermon looked at Seraphimon as he spoke. Hearing his master's voice saying such sweet words made him feel so happy and proud to be his pupil.

"And I must thank you for your courage. All would be lost if it not for you." Seraphimon looked back to the gang - who were smiling, having watched the exchange. They, too, felt proud to help a cause. An adult praising for what they do. Every child long to hear those encourable praise.

"But now I must ask that you'd do one more favor for me. Before the fighting begins, go back to your own world." The moment the words left Seraphimon, they were surprised. Then… those proud words were covered in garbage and flushed down the toilet. Yeah, it was that bad. It was so shocking that everyone's mouths were left gaping like a fish out of water.

"Huh?" That was the only word that could come out of their mouths.

Seraphimon didn't pause for them, "Your task is done, and it's too dangerous for you to stay." In translation, he meant "I can handle". The guy just got out of his long years of beauty sleep and he thinks can "handle it".

"But we're Legendary Warriors!" Takuya spoke up in surprise. He wanted to convince the Celestial Digimon they can help him.

"Yeah, we can't just walk away, now." Zoe voiced her thoughts as she stared at Seraphimon.

The wall behind them suddenly shattered to pieces. The group turned around quickly and they were caught off guard by what they saw.

"Good, the pack is here." Daemon spoke his observation aloud.

Even surprised they all shifted and despite what they're faced with they all took seemed to have braced themselves.

"And ready to fight!" Takuya spoke as he raised his fists.

"Perfect, because this time, you won't get off easy – I'm not alone. I have my own 'allies', Lilithmon." Daemon chuckled.

"Enjoy what you're seeing?" Lilithmon spoke, arms under her chest as she eyed the ground before her. She admits. The boys are kind of cute. She'll bet their spirits are definite eye candy.

"Beelzemon."

"They're easy pickings." Beelzemon laughed as he toyed with his guns after having made the observation. He didn't see what's so great with those kids. It'll be easy picking. It'll be a waste just to use his bullets on a bunch of brats.

"Last, Barbamon."

"These are the brats who have troubled you? They're puny, what a disgrace, Daemon." Barbamon's words were cutting and received a glare from Daemon.

"They're not as weak as they appear." Daemon growled the words outs.

"Doubtful, but it'll be great to defeat them and to give Seraphimon to Cherubimon." Barbamon grinned and tightened his grip on his staff.

"Who wants to go first? I just can't decide." Lilithmon swept her eyes over the group in front of them as she spoke. She acted like a little kid choosing a game to play with at an arcade.

"Enough of your meaningless taunts. Tell me where Ophanimon is, now!" Seraphimon cut in, voice firm and demanding.

"It doesn't matter, just give back what you stole from me!" Daemon spat the words out but no one flinched – in fact they all looked ready to fight.

Takuya took a step forwards, "Why don't you come get it, buddy?!"

J.P. moved so he stood beside Takuya, "Yeah!"

Tommy approached them as well, "Yeah!"

Koji, Amelia, and Meredith had stepped forward as well.

At the same time they all pulled out their D-Tectors, "Execute! Spirit Evolution!"

"Agunimon!"

"Sakanamon!"

"Lobomon!"

"Legnamon!"

"Beetlemon!"

"Kumamon!"

The Warriors stood proudly and stared the Demon Lords down. They were all ready to fight because they knew that was what it would come down to. They weren't going to back down.

"The Legendary Warrior have returned!" Sorcermon sounded a bit surprised.

'Awesome, can I do that, too?' Kyle thought and glanced at his D-Tector in thought. They looked so cool standing before the bad guys glowing with power. Will he ever be that cool when he Spirit Evolves?

"Well, almost all of us." Sakanamon's voice was tinged with sadness while Zoe backed away from the group of Warriors, staring almost wistfully at the group.

"If that big doofus hadn't stolen my Spirit, I'd show him a thing or two!" The blonde's previous demeanor was gone and she spoke off sounding a mix of angry and sad.

"Don't worry, your Spirit won't be lonely for long." As Daemon spoke, Agunimon put his fists together.

"Ya sure you don't wanna get warmed up, first? Pyro Darts!" Agunimon shouted and punched towards them.

The fire that had surrounded Agunimon's fists shot forwards – almost like actual darts. The Demon Lords dodged them by jumping up and away from also away from each other.

"Now that's hot." Lilithmon purred slightly as she landed, staring towards Agunimon. The Warrior of Flame shivered at her gaze. He felt like he was the last slice of pizza.

Something about Lilithmon's words rubbed Sakanamon the wrong way and something that she couldn't identify, bubbled within. She really want to kick her butt. Maybe splash some cold reality in her face.

"Tempest Whirlpool!" Sakanamon sent the attack at Lilithmon.

"Howling Laser!" Lobomon's attack shot towards Lilithmon.

Lilithmon laughed as she dodged, "Sorry but you can't touch me - you're not good enough." Sakanamon's eyebrow twitched.

"Thunder Fist!" Beetlemon brought his electrified fists down at Beelzemon.

Beelzemon laughed as he dodged Beetlemon's attack easily. He was enjoying himself. It's easy game with these children.

"Crystal Freeze!" Kumamon's attack went in Daemon's direction, but the Demon of Wrath dodged it easily.

"Wood Thorn!" The wooden spikes from Legnamon caused Daemon to having to pull his wings in close and he glared at her.

'He noticed what I was aiming at.' Beneath the mask that Legnamon wore she grinned slightly – even noticed it was fine because he would be conscious of it at have to think about that as well.

"You guys are just pitiful, let me show how battle's done. Phantom Pain!" Purple mist leaked out of Lilithmon and when it touched the Warriors, their armor began to chip in places.

Unlucky enough there were three without very much armor. Kumamon, Sakanamon and Legnamon were greeted with pain that would probably set in on the others once parts of their armor were eaten through.

"Double Impact!" Beelzemon shot at the group and once they were hit they were knocked off of their feet and even knocked back a few feet.

Zoe stood back with wide eyes and staring in worry. Neemon and Bokomon who were behind her was no better off. Bokomon looked like he was on the borderline of horrified.

"I was hoping for a little more fun than that." Lilithmon chuckled as she looked at the fallen Warriors who was struggling to move.

"Too easy." Beelzemon lowered his guns as he stared at them.

"Go get back what they stole, Dae." Lilithmon looked over to Daemon.

"Shut up or you'll be the next to be on the ground Lilithmon." Daemon growled the words out but Lilithmon only smirked at him. She found his threat adorable like a kitten hissing against a cornered wall. A very creepy kitten with a bloodshot eye.

"Daemon, no! You cannot do this!" Sorcermon shouted the words, drawing attention to him and Seraphimon.

"Are you ordering us around?" Barbamon turned around and looked at Sorcermon.

"You shall not lead us down the path of ruin! I've waited a lifetime to see peace restored to the Digital World, and you're not going to stop it from returning! Crystal Barrage!" Shards of crystals flew from Sorcermon's staff and right at Barbamon.

"Weakling, Pandemonium Lost!" The area in front of Barbamon blew up, causing Sorcermon's attack to be knocked back while some managed to get flung back at Sorcermon with a lot more power than what they had when they had been shot at Barbamon.

"Sorcermon!" Seraphimon was at Sorcermon's side, cradling him in away.

"Worry not, my lord." Sorcermon's words were weak.

"Isn't that a touching scene?" Lilithmon chimed in and cooed a little.

Barbamon rolled his eyes before charging at Seraphimon. He raised his wand to use as a club, "Pay attention."

Seraphimon held Sorcermon close to him as he jumped to dodge the strike. Gliding through the air so he was in front of the Warriors which is where he sat Sorcermon down.

Seraphimon hand his arms out to the side and moved them clockwise before bringing close to his chest, "Strike of the Seven Stars!"

Seven balls of light appeared before they shot forwards. Three hit Daemon, two hit Lilithmon and then the last three hit Beelzemon. The three Demon Lords were sent flying from the force of attack. Man, he's good even after sleeping for a few hundred years… give or take.

Seraphimon turned to the Warriors, "Please, I ask again that you return to your world and leave this to me!"

Kumamon stared Seraphimon down, "There's no way we'll leave!"

"Yeah, even if we wanted to, we don't know how!" Beetlemon curled his hand into a fist as he spoke.

"I can't fight them and keep you safe. You must go!" As Seraphimon spoke the Demons started to approach.

Sorcermon, who was closer to Agunimon than the others due to where he had been, sat down and had his eyes closed in what looked like pain.

"Are you kidding? You can't fight all those guys by yourself! I mean, come on, you just woke up!" Agunimon spoke up in response to Seraphimon's words.

Lobomon stood up, "You need us!"

"Found his weak point, attack the humans to keep him distracted." Barbamon spoke when he noticed it, smirking.

"We should be fighting them!" Sorcermon's words shifted everyone's attention back to the Demons.

"That's fine, not like it'll be hard to beat you." Daemon curled his hand into a fist getting ready.

"That's it! Time to teach these guys a lesson!" Kyle exclaimed before realizing something. "Uhh... how does this work?" Everyone stares at as he starts fiddling with his D-Tector, the Demons chuckle while the Warriors especially Sakanamon groan and facepalm. He's desperate enough to help. At least he wants to help.

"Phantom Pain!" The mist appeared once more at Lilithmon's words.

"Double Impact!" Beelzemon started to shoot.

"Strike..." Seraphimon began, but as he did,the world in front of him seemed to fracture slightly and the gem at the top of Barbamon's staff was glowing, "...of the Seven Stars!" Seraphimon's attack vanished once it hit the fractured space.

"Pandemonium Lost!" Barbamon's attack along with the others hit Seraphimon.

Seraphimon was nearly knocked off of his feet and everyone looked horrified. It would have been better for him to have been knocked off of his feet instead of what happened. Fractal Code surrounded him and the Demons began to laugh as Barbamon raised his staff and started to scan Seraphimon's Fractal Code. this can't be happening. Their hope, the Digital World's, defeated.

Sorcermon's eyes widened, "No!"

Left behind where Seraphimon had once been was a DigiEgg. Everyone stared at the DigiEgg, stunned but what had just happened before their eyes.

"Seraphimon turned into a DigiEgg!" Agunimon exclaimed.

Barbamon started to laugh, "Oh the irony – Seraphimon sought to defeat Cherubimon, and now his Fractal Code will be used by Cherubimon!"

Sorcermon looked the ground, "No, it can't be! The hope of the Digital World is gone!"

Zoe ran towards the DigiEgg, "No, it's not!"

The blonde jumped slightly to grab the DigiEgg. Once she had it in her arms, she began to run as fast as she could towards her group and away from the Demons. "Maybe we can bring him back if we have his egg, right Sorcermon?! Hey!"

Sorcermon's eyes widened, "Yes! We must protect that egg at all costs!"

"You won't get far!" Barbamon spoke while the Demons started to move towards Zoe.

"If we can get the egg to Ophanimon, she may be able to revive Seraphimon!" Sorcermon looked pensive.

Zoe reached the group with the DigiEgg held tight in her arms. Everyone moved to stand in front of her protectively, well Bokomon, Neemon and DemiVeemon moved to stand beside her since they couldn't fight.

"Alright, come and get it!" Beetlemon spoke as he stared the Demons down.

"Don't be foolish." Barbamon spoke as he eyed the Egg that Zoe held.

"What's the matter, you chicken?!" Beetlemon taunted them.

"Yeah, ya senile demon!" Zoe threw it out there to taunt them as well.

"Taunting them isn't going to help us." Legnamon commented when she saw the Demons narrow their eyes.

"You're fate is sealed." Barbamon remarked coldly as the other Demons growled.

"We'll claim it by force – you'll beg for mercy when we're done with you!" Barbamon shouted the words at the group.

Sorcermon rested his hand on the wall and when he did the wall glowed slightly. The glow wasn't enough for anyone to notice though and once it was gone, it revealed a button.

Sorcermon pressed the button, "Arrogance will be your downfall!"

Cracks spread across the wall that was behind the Warriors and once the wall shattered light poured out blinding the Demons.

Behind the 'wall' that shattered was another wall that was made of stone. Yet within this wall there was a door - a door that the Demon Lords were left staring at.

"They escaped." Beelzemon spoke, glaring at the door while Barbamon let out a frustrated growl.

"They always do that." Daemon spoke with barely contained anger.

Lilithmon, Daemon and Beelzemon went to the door while Barbamon remained still. He was far from happy and he was glaring at the door. He gripped his staff tightly as the space around him wavered before he vanished.

Sorcermon was leading the kids down a hall as they ran, "Quick this way!"

"Well, duh!" J.P. was as loud as he could be as he was running.

There was an explosion behind the group at the top of the stairs that they had run down.

"Ready or not, here I come." Daemon's voice echoed down the stairs and through the hallway unpleasantly.

Koji looked behind them as they ran – the look on his face between worry and pensive. The group reached the end of the hallway and Sorcermon hit another button which caused a door to start opening in front of the gang.

"You may escape through here!" The finished opening as he spoke.

With the door open they stared surprised at what was revealed. Behind door number two was a tube that had a duck shaped Trailmon within.

"Wow, a get-away Trailmon!" J.P. stared in amazement.

"Thank goodness! Come on, let's go!" Takuya led the group out and into the tube as he spoke.

Takuya got on the Trailmon close to the front of it while Tommy, J.P., Kyle and Zoe got into the small room that was there but they were quickly followed by Bokomon, Neemon and DemiVeemon. Koji got on the other side of the Trailmon while Meredith was quick to climb on top of the Trailmon. Amelia actually seemed to hesitate and glanced back to Sorcermon before jumping abroad and standing beside Zoe. She could tell something was wrong and so did the Warrior of Wind.

Zoe turned around, "Sorcermon, hurry up!"

Sorcermon remained at the door, "I'm not coming."

"What?" Zoe was stunned.

Amelia was somewhat surprised as well, but at the same time, she wasn't. Sorcermon lowered his head slightly as he stared at the group, particularly the egg that Zoe held close to her chest.

"The egg is all that matters now. I must insure it's safety. Now go! There isn't much time!" As Sorcermon spoke they could see the Demons making their way close to the door.

Takuya leant backwards a bit but still holding tight to the Trailmon, "You don't stand a chance!"

"You can't fight them alone!" Meredith gripped the Trailmon even if she was tempted to move.

"Take care of Seraphimon! He's our last hope." Just as Sorcermon finished speaking the door closed and they stared at the door unbelieving of what happened – what they knew would happen.

"No, we won't leave you!" Tommy shouted the words as the Trailmon started to move.

The Trailmon shot off down the tube on the tracks while everyone was staring at the door. There was no sign of anything at all. Tears started to stream down Tommy's face as he stared at the door.

"Sorcermon!" The name tore out of Tommy's mouth heart wrenchingly.

"Tommy, that isn't helping anyone." Zoe spoke quickly which shut Tommy up.

Takuya stared back at the door and growled. Everyone was caught off guard when there was a noise that resounded. Amelia jumped at the noise and was quick to pull out her D-Tector. It glowed slightly and at top where the Fractal Code was usually scanned, there was a spark which caused her to look up. The others watched just as surprised as she was when an egg came flying towards her – the egg having come from down the tube and from where Sorcermon and the demons were. The egg floated in front of her.

"It can't be." She muttered the word but raised her free hand to touch the DigiEgg that had a snowflake design on it.

The moment she touched it, the spell that had kept it levitating broke, but she was quick to catch it. She nearly fell out of the back of the Trailmon though from how she caught it but Bokomon, Neemon and DemiVeemon caught the back of her shirt and managed to pull her back so she instead landed on the floor of the Trailmon.

"It's Sorcermon's DigiEgg." Amelia stared at the egg while the others stared at it as well.

'Why?! Why didn't I help?! Seraphimon and Sorcermon are gone! Why wasn't I able to spirit evolve?!' He looks at his D-Tector and clenches his fist. "Stupid D-Tector!" He throws it across the room, luckily it didn't hated himself for not doing anything. How can he call himself a warrior if he cannot fight back and protect others for won't stand up to fight?

Zoe turned her head towards Kyle, her face showing concern before turning her attention back to Seraphimon's egg.

'I won't let anyone touch this egg.' The thought flashed through Amelia's mind quickly and unconsciously.

'He helped us escape. I'll make sure that this egg doesn't get broken so one day, he can come back.' Amelia's D-Tector that was touching the DigiEgg glowed slightly still, but that was slowly fading away.

"I can't believe this is all that's left of Seraphimon. I'm never gonna let this go." Zoe stared at Seraphimon's egg.

Takuya glared backwards after Zoe's words.

"That egg may be the most important thing in the Digital World, right now. It's its last hope. So all of Cherubimon's forces are gonna be gunning for it. But no matter what happens, we've gotta protect it. We can't let Sorcermon's sacrifice be in vain. I hate to say this, but it's up to us now, guys!" Takuya's words caused everyone to look even more serious than they had been previously.

Whoa, talk about carrying the weight of the world! See if the gang can handle it on the next Digimon: Digital Monsters!
