Amelia belongs to Jeabird, Kyle belongs to Heisei255, and I thank them, and Black Cat Angel for helping me with this story.

After a wild and watery ride on a Trailmon, our heroes found themselves trapped in an underground cavern with a very unhappy Whamon. Unfortunately, Beelzemon and Daemon had figured out where they were and decided to wage another attack. Daemon unleashed an angry horde of shadow bats and it looked like the DigiDestined were doomed! Also Kyle Spirit Evolved to Gorumon. Then Whamon blasted Daemon and coughed up a Spirit that he accidentally munched before he was sucked into the cave. JP Beast Spirit Evolved into the mighty warrior, MetalKabuterimon and wiped out the annoying Daemon once and for all!

: Demons :

Back at the demon's hideout Barbamon was watching the scene of Daemon getting defeated by the Warriors by way of the jewel at the end of his staff, granted not the best quality but enough for the sad sight. It's sad watching his comrade's defeat by children. It puts the name of Cherubimon to shame.

"Look at that, how pathetic." Barbamon shook his head at the sight, thoroughly disappointed.

"All talk and no bite, like I said." Lilithmon chimed in. Honestly why did Lord Cherubimon chose a digimon like Daemon onto their group.

"He talks far bigger than his strength carries him." Barbamon lowered his staff, not wanting to see the sight any longer.

"I just said that, anyways we need to focus on us now instead of him." Lilithmon merely received a look from Barbamon.

"I know that Lilithmon, we're still working together on this." Barbamon looked from Lilithmon.

"Then go find Beelzemon. He's a bit hard-headed but he can be of use. I don't have time to spare for looking." Lilithmon examined her nails as she spoke.

"I think you're just scared." Barbamon's words made Lilithmon glare at him. The female talks game, but anyone who talks a hefty amount hides the truth behind their tone.

"You're talking crazy now! You have some nerve to say that to me!" Lilithmon nearly growled the words out. She wanted nothing more than to smack him with her fine, manicured nails. She hoped her slap would result to ending with scratches.

"I'm only stating what's true." Barbamon didn't raise his voice or even react to Lilithmon being so angry.

"You're going senile; those brats will never defeat me. They'll be on their knees begging me to just take their Spirits before I'm done with them." Lilithmon practically grounded the words out. She can take them, she thought to herself, only three has Beast Spirits. She can totally take them. She's strong, beautiful, and talented (in her head that is). She'll defeat them faster than they can cry their eyes out.

"Do as you wish." Barbamon's words were dismissive. He wouldn't care what she plans to do anyway.

: The Gang :

As the group stood on solid land once again Whamon began to swim from where he had dropped them off, the group waving to him.

"See ya, buddy!" Takuya called out.

"Bye!" Tommy shouted, waving with both of his hands.

"Aloha!" Neemon added in.

"Ciao, Whamon!" Zoe smiled as she waved.

"Enjoy the ocean!" Meredith called out.

"Be careful of what you eat!" Kyle laughed slightly.

"Bye, be safe!" Amelia raised her voice, hoping to be heard.

With one last spout blast as both acknowledgement and a farewell Whamon dived under the water and started on his way.

Koji watched as Whamon left, "So, there he goes."

"Nice of you to point out the obvious." Takuya made the comment as he glanced at Koji. The long-haired boy glared at him at the sarcasm.

"Don't be such boys." Zoe interjected. She couldn't help the giddiness in her tone.

"My dear Zoe, what has gotten into you?" Bokomon eyed the surprisingly happy Zoe despite what she had just stated previously having been something most wouldn't say with a smile.

Zoe beamed at Bokomon, "You can't blame a girl for feeling good on such a beautiful day. Especially a girl who has her spirit back."

"And let us not forget who has a beast spirit now." J.P. grinned proudly as he stated the words that made him happy.

The group were walking down a path that was near the water.

J.P. grinned, "Y'know, I can't help but notice that it's summer and we're at a beach."

Zoe smiled, "I noticed that."

"Yeah, you know what that means." Tommy seemed excited.

"Summer vacation!" They cheered the words out in unison.

"The waves!" Tommy nearly shouted the words.

Zoe threw her hands up, "Shell hunting!"

J.P. struck a pose, "Lots of sunshine!"

"Yeah, put it all together and what have you got? The beach, baby!" Takuya threw his hands up.

Meredith grinned as she spun round and round, "Beach, beach, beach!" Who wouldn't want to relax at the beach? It's a good pastime, especially summer vacation! Unfortunately, there is one person who has to be the voice of reason which means that said person has to be the bigger person and say NO.

Koji sighed and looked at Takuya, "Takuya, aren't you forgetting something? We're supposed to be on a mission here. We'd be stupid to let our guard down." Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the voice of reason.

Takuya stepped to Koji and threw an arm over his friend's shoulders, "C'mon, you gotta lighten up there, buddy."

J.P. mimicked Takuya's movements, "Yeah, stop being a party pooper."

"It might be nice to take a small breather, even if I agree with you Koji." Amelia moved so she stood in front of Koji.

"We're just wearing ourselves out so we should take a break before something forces us to let our guard down, right?" The crimson-haired girl gave a soft smile to Koji.

"Yeah, you're being pooey!" Tommy added in, not looking at Koji but at the ground.

"It can't hurt to take a short break, like Amelia said, plus we've earned it." Zoe commented as she eyed Takuya and J.P., as if knowing they were planning something.

"Zoe's right, we have earned it." Takuya and J.P. chimed in, in unison.

"Fine, whatever, I'm obviously outnumbered here." Even though Koji said it he didn't sound too upset, there was even a slight tint to his cheeks. He had to admit, a short break does sound nice.

Meredith pointed towards a shack she spotted; "Look at that."

Koji looked and his shoulders fell, "This is a little too convenient."

"I don't know about that, but it looks awfully comfortable." Tommy grinned.

Out of the shack came some bipedal orcas that wore a floaty tube around their waist and a life vest as well. On their stomach there was a cross type mark that had triangles between the arms of the cross. They smiled the best they could at the group; there were three of the orca type creatures.

The orca on the right smiled and waved at the group, "Hello, we're Orcamon."

"Come in a take a break." The Orcamon on the left seemed to cheer the words.

The final Orcamon laughed slightly, "Welcome to our humble establishment, The Seashore."

"Orcamon are rather kind Digimon and they help out as much as they can. They're really dependable as well." Bokomon spoke, once more like the lovable know-it-all Bokomon is.

Kyle looked at the others. "You guys sure he isn't a walking Digimon encyclopedia?" He joked getting a chuckle from some the others.

"We're honored to have you guys here." The three Orcamon chimed together.

Tommy beamed, "Thank you, Mr. Orcamon. We're honored you're honored."

Koji crossed his arms, "Yeah, we're honored, but we're broke." Once again, the voice of reason.

"They're whales; do you think they know Whamon?" Neemon made the remark as he stared at the Orcamon.

"Just because they're whales don't mean they know-" J.P. was cut off by the Orcamon to the left stepping forwards.

"Yes, we know Whamon! Have you guys met him?" The Orcamon that had stepped forwards looked near to tears. Wow, they do know Whamon. It's a small world afterall.

"His disappearance has bothered us greatly, he was our friend." The Orcamon that was on the right spoke, sounding sad.

Amelia smiled softly, "We met him – we actually helped him get out of the cave he was trapped in. Whamon brought us to the island actually."

"You saved our friend?" The Orcamon that was in the middle was stunned.

"Come, money is no problem! Everything is on the house as thanks for saving our friend!" The Orcamon stepped from in front of the door and began an ushering type motion with their flippers.

"Come on in." No one moved at first at the Orcamon's words – then Takuya took a step forward.

After that the hesitance seemed to dispel. They all entered and they took a seat at a table. Faster than it ever was in their world, food came their way – larger portions that normal restaurants as well.

The food that was laid out before the group had their mouths watering. There was a nice spread of all kinds of tropical dishes – which fit with the island landscape. There was pineapple pork chops, jerk chicken with coconut rice, salads, sea bass, shrimp, crabs along with an assortment of fruits. They even got their own fruit smoothies.

The Orcamon smiled, "Dig in."

The group did just that too.

The group grinned, "Delicious!"

"This is the best!" Takuya barely got the words out around the food he stuffed into his mouth.

Meredith laughed slightly, "They got great smoothies, too."

"This is the best overly salty fish." Zoe's comment was a bit, backhanded.

Koji gave Zoe an odd look, "You're weird. Is that supposed to be a compliment?"

"Dude, don't you get it? It's real food. Like home, not some kind of crazy meat-tasting rabbit food." J.P. pointed at Koji.

"Hey, I resent that. Those cabbages and meat apples were pretty good, actually." Amelia cut in and after a few seconds they laughed.

"Every bit of it tastes just like it is. Lumps and all! Besides, it's a beach house, buddy. The food could have sand and bugs and stuff all over it and no one would care." Takuya spoke after he calmed down a bit.

"Bring on the bugs!" Zoe and J.P. spoke in unison.

"And sand! Whoo-hoo!" Neemon shouted.

"And stop! Bring on the stop!" Bokomon butted in.

"Killjoy." Amelia muttered the word as she glanced at Bokomon.

The group ate and by the time they weren't eating everything on the table, there were a lot of empty dishes. No food was left which was surprising considering how much food there had been laid out before them.

Neemon looked at Bokomon, "You ate a lot."

Bokomon placed a hand on the egg, "I'm eating for two now. My selfish days are over. If I must pig out, then so be it." How can you eat for two if said "baby" hasn't hatched yet?

"It was wonderful!" The group disregarded what Bokomon said completely and instead complimented the Orcamon on the food.

"Now what?" Takuya asked the question to the others.

"Play time!" DemiVeemon shouted it and was out of his seat and bolting out the door in what seemed like seconds. It was like chasing a kid with a sugar rush. Adorable, really.

"DemiVeemon!" Meredith shouted and was chasing after DemiVeemon.

Once DemiVeemon reached a couple steps away from the shack he dove into the sand. The little guy was laughing and smiling, like a little kid a beach for the first time. It was so cute seeing him pat the sand.

"Well you heard him!" Kyle exclaimed getting up from his seat. He's very excited about going to the beach.

"If you would be interested we have beach appeal and toys as well – those are also free for use by your group." One of the Orcamon cut in and motioned to a section of the shack that had a variety of beach stuff. As soon as the word "free" was said, everyone was even more thrilled.

"Great!" Takuya grinned.

"Wow." Zoe and Tommy were surprised.

With that, the group went off after deciding that they would change into some swimsuits so they could play in the ocean. Zoe and Amelia went to the girl's changing room while J.P., Tommy, Koji, and Kyle head to the guy's changing room – Takuya had stopped to let Meredith know what was going but he quickly caught up to the other guys.

Meredith sat on the beach and watched DemiVeemon attempting to build a sand castle since she was already in a swimsuit – she's been wearing one from the time she entered the Digital World actually.

"Mama!" DemiVeemon whined when his sandcastle fell once again.

"Help me." DemiVeemon turned to Meredith, pouting.

Meredith smiled at DemiVeemon, "Alright, we're gonna build the best sandcastle."

While they worked on the sandcastle the others were finishing up with changing into their swimsuits – besides Zoe who couldn't decide on what swimsuit to wear.

Kyle was racing towards the ocean "Last one in is a rotten DigiEgg!"

It didn't take long for the boys to go barreling towards the beach yet Amelia hesitated.

Amelia looked at Zoe, "You sure you'll be good by yourself?"

"Yeah I'll be just fine." Zoe didn't even give a glance to Amelia, just continued to look through the swimsuits. Apparently, she wanted to look her best. What for? Unless the Orcamon host a swimsuit competition, she's pretty much wasting her time.

"Okay but don't take too long because the purpose is to relax." Amelia left but she looked at her D-Tector that she held in her hand. She felt like it was the right thing to do. Koji's cautious words rang in her head. They are Legendary Warriors, and with one of the four Demons defeated, there's no doubt the rest will step up their game. They'll pop up when they least expect it.

'No way, I'm going to go too far away from this, with our luck, our beach party is gonna get crashed at some point.' Amelia reached back to where the others were.

"Amelia." At the call of her name she looked to the source of the call, Bokomon.

"If you want I can hold onto that for you." Amelia smiled and made her way over to Bokomon, the egg that belonged to Sorcermon sat beside him as well.

Amelia offered her D-Tector to him, "Thanks Bokomon."

"No problem." Bokomon took her D-Tector, sitting it in a small basket that was beside him – the basket contained the others' D-Tectors already. It was a good thing Bokomon was there to keep an eye on them, otherwise, they would worry on where to put them while they have fun in the water.

Seeing as nearly everyone was in the waters Meredith decided she wanted to join in with the others. She stood up and took of her shoes and shorts which revealed a one-piece swimsuit beneath. Meredith also took a moment to empty out her draw-string bag before pulling it onto her back.

Kyle looked to Takuya, "Hey, goggle head, how come your girlfriend is already wearing a swimsuit?"

The 'girlfriend' part caused Takuya to blush slightly.

"She's not my girlfriend!" He shot it back at Kyle after a few seconds. Hmm, he's overworked over calling Meredith "his girlfriend". Kyle smiled. Oh, this is going to be fun.

The blush was still slightly present on Takuya's face, "She's just a childhood friend."

'Sadly we're only that.' He thought a bit sadly. Sure he thought about telling her, yet he's afraid Meredith would reject him.

"Why the blush then?" A grin pulled on Kyle's features as he teased Takuya. The goggle head looked away. "You know, I think I might have a chance asking her out. I'm into the headstrong type. Maybe she's into me too."

"SHE'S SO NOT INTO SARCASTIC MORONS LIKE YOU!" The gang looked at Takuya who flushed in embarrassment. He glared at Kyle who grinned like a Cheshire Cat. "You heard nothing!" He harshly whispered to the grinning boy.

Kyle put his hands up in mock surrender. "I got it, I got it. But advice to one friend to another, let me say keeping it to yourself isn't going to do anything. Sooner or later your girlfriend is going to be someone else's. It could be JP, me, heck it'll be even Koji."

"Koji!"

"What?" Takuya turned to the long-haired boy.

"Ah… nevermind."

"Whatever."

"Do you think Meredith likes Koji?"

"Heck no", Kyle said and whispered, "but I think he and Amelia make a cute couple."

Takuya gasped. "I knew it."

Amelia eyed the boys, "What are they talking about?" It was strange to see two boys whispering to each other. They look like giddy girls gossiping on the latest gossip. She cringed. Just imagining those boys in a girls' sailor uniform.

Meredith just shrugged then ran and dove into the ocean. It's not her business, anyway. Takuya's a big boy. He doesn't need a babysitter.

Amelia watched as Kyle whispered to Takuya and then the googlehead's reaction. She approached the water and just stood at the edge of the shore, letting the waves wash over her feet and she stared out at the water before a gentle smile crossed her face - remembering back to the last time she went to the beach with her family. She had a blast. From going shell hunting with her mother to burying her dad in the sand, her heart grew heavy. She missed her family. She missed her home.

Amelia was going to jump in the water, but something stopped her. Something just told her to wait a couple of seconds – she waited as well.

"It's hatching, it's hatching!" Bokomon shouted the words and it snatched everyone's attention.

Bokomon was staring at the DigiEgg that belonged to Sorcermon. Amelia grinned and was quick to run over to the egg, excited a bit to see Sorcermon once again. Even if they hadn't really spoken or anything, there did seem to be a bit of connection to him for some reason. The DigiEgg cracked a bit more and then it cracked open.

The Digimon within the egg wasn't Sorcermon, but it would've been odd if Sorcermon had popped out since the egg was far too small to hold him. The Digimon within was small and had tan fur and two long ears that came from the top of it's head. The tail it had shifted from tan fur to a light purple that had rings of dark purple.

Amelia tilted her head with a soft smile on her face, "What might be your name?"

The Digimon stared at her, "Kyaromon."

Kyaromon sounded a bit shy as he answered, staring up at Amelia with brilliant blue eyes that were edge with a red top that was by his ears.

"Nice to meet you Kyaromon, I'm Amelia." Amelia had kept her voice soft seeing the hesitance in Kyaromon's eyes. Afterall, it's still a baby.

Koji and Tommy made their way towards Amelia and Kyaromon. They were interested in meeting the new addition to their team that the dunking and splashing game that had broken out with Takuya, Kyle and J.P.

"Hello Kyaromon, I'm Tommy!" Tommy was super excited and Kyaromon jumped slightly since the little boy was on the hyper/loud side.

Kyaromon stared at Tommy while the boy stared back and was just grinning at him. Koji though who stood behind Amelia just sighed and shook his head. He had noticed that Tommy had at least startled the newly hatched Digimon. Kyaromon's eyes flickered to Koji, taking note of him. Kyaromon stared at him, questioningly.

"I'm Koji." At Koji's introduction Amelia glanced backwards, a bit startled by how far he had gotten without her realizing.

DemiVeemon made his way over out of curiosity. He peeked at Kyaromon before getting closer yet he paused once close enough and the little furry Digimon's eyes had landed on him. DemiVeemon waved a bit shyly and smiled.

"I'm DemiVeemon!" As he introduced himself he looked around.

'I wanna introduce him to mama to!' DemiVeemon searched for Meredith but frowned.

'Where did mama go?' He started to look around for her, a small spark of panic. Oh no! Did Mama leave me' was the terrifying thought of any child. The little dragon began to tear up.

Meanwhile, Meredith was swimming below the surface, unaware of everything that was happening on shore. The redhead was pretty deep below the surface, when an opening caught her eye and she swam to it, peeking into it. Within the opening, there was a shell that she examined, then put it in her bag. The shell was pretty plain since it was only a greyish purple so when she spotted something that was orange it made her turn to look at it.

Meredith picked up the orange spotted shell that caught her eye. She grinned as she put that one into her bag as well. Seeing as there was nothing else within, she left the little cubby like space to head somewhere else to look. As she was swimming, she glanced down and she saw an opening to an undersea chasm. She stopped before choosing to go down to it and rested on the edge of it, looking down the chasm.

She examined it trying to see if there was any reason to go down. The more she looked, the more she thought just continued but then something caught her eye. Something sparkled. When she noticed the sparkle, she smiled widely, making up her mind to go down. She swam down into the chasm to the sparkling object, reaching out to grab it.

Meredith picked up what had caught her attention, a shell that had a metallic luster. There streaks of all colors of the rainbow and it sparkled seemingly independently of the sunlight that was filtered down in the not so deep chasm. The shell itself looked like it was a hermit crab's shell so the way that the colors and the silver base swirled together made for a beautiful design.

Figuring it would be perfect for her collection, she placed it in her bag.

"Mama?" DemiVeemon questioned as he looked around. He kept calling for his mama, but she wouldn't answer. She can't be gone! He needs her! Daddy needs her! He wanted his mama back! Maybe she went into the forest.

Tommy was too interested in Kyaromon to notice DemiVeemon's current state while Koji was looking at the 'idiots' that were still in the water. Amelia however noticed DemiVeemon's panic. He started to run the best he could, bolting towards the forest instead of the water.

"DemiVeemon!" Amelia called after him, grabbing her D-Tector before bolting after the young Digimon.

Kyaromon though also bolted after him, well more like he was running towards the person that he felt comfortable with at this moment. Tommy stared worriedly and was going to go after them but Koji shook his head.

"She'll be fine Tommy, it shouldn't take too long to catch DemiVeemon." Even if Koji said it, he, himself, was almost tempted to follow. It wasn't his business anyway. If anyone was to bring back DemiVeemon, it was Amelia herself.

Tommy looked to Koji, "Are you sure?" He frowned seeing the long-haired boy nodded.

As Amelia ran into the forest after DemiVeemon, Meredith surfaced taking a deep breath of air. As she was getting air back after being below the surface for a nice chunk of time she noticed that something was up.

"Hey dudes, what's going on?" Meredith questioned.

"DemiVeemon ran off." Takuya answered quickly.

A bit of panic seized Meredith, "DemiVeemon's gone?" her motherly instincts kicking in. She needs to protect her young.

"Yeah, he into the forest but Amelia went after him." Kyle spoke, a bit hesitantly not sure of how Meredith would react. He knew DemiVeemon meant the world to her.

Meredith didn't bother to say anything else before getting out of the water and headed straight for the forest.

During that commotion the Orcamon who had been minding their own business and cleaning there shop noticed something. The D-Tectors that everyone had given to Bokomon had disappeared. They looked at each other before looking back to everyone. The Warriors were either worrying about DemiVeemon or having some fun playing in the water.

They left their stand and was going to go look for the D-Tectors when they were stopped by Neemon, "Where you guys going?" As humble hosts, it is their job to make sure their guests remain calm and relax, even though it involves them to shut their mouths.

The lead Orcamon looked to Neemon, "Ah we were going to look for the D Tectors that seemed to have vanished."

Neemon's eyes opened in surprised, "We need to tell the others!" It was a rare moment Neemon had a good idea.

One of the Orcamon stopped Neemon, "Let them have their fun!"

Another Orcamon nodded, "We'll go find them and bring them back!"

Neemon stared at them before nodding, "Alright!" They seemed considerate in finding them and they are very nice and humble. Neemon didn't seem to mind to object them.

It was a while later when Kyle suddenly realized something, "Has anybody seen the Orcamon?"

"Now that you mention it, no." Tommy spoke as he started to look around, hoping to spot the Orcamon.

While the guys looked around for the Orcamon they realized something troubling, their D-Tectors were missing.

"Do you think they took them and bailed?!" J.P. nearly shouted the words, he was freaking out.

Neemon tilted his head and placed a hand on his chin, "I think they went to look for them when they noticed that they had gone missing." The guys looked at Neemon, flabbergasted.

"Why didn't you say something before?!" Bokomon yelled as he snapped Neemon's pants.

Neemon whined, "They didn't want to ruin everybody's fun!"

:Meanwhile:

'I have to find him!' The thought was accompanied by Meredith running a bit faster. She could just picture the little dragon tearing up and alone in the dark forest, calling for his mama. She didn't want to see him cry. She picked up the pace.

"DemiVeemon, wait!" Amelia called out.

DemiVeemon was unconsciously slowing down, "No, I have to find mama!" Apparently, he was getting exhausted but his determination to search for his lost mommy never left his mind.

Amelia dove forwards and managed to grab DemiVeemon, stopping him from running anymore. The little dragon started to cry, whimper and yell a bit somehow. He failed as Amelia held him tightly to keep him from running off.

"Let me go, let me go!" DemiVeemon yelled and pushing at Amelia's arm.

Amelia bit her lip to keep herself from saying anything as she stood up. DemiVeemon continued to whine and throw a tantrum as Amelia headed back towards the beach, Kyaromon following beside her, eyeing her worriedly since he had taken note of the small scratches that DemiVeemon had caused unintentionally.

"I have to find mama! I have to find her!" DemiVeemon's words carried and Meredith, who was nearby, heard them.

Meredith ran towards the sounds of his cries, worried about what she would find. She came onto the path that Amelia was on and breathed a sigh of relief when she found that DemiVeemon was being held by the crimson-haired girl. DemiVeemon was being a child and throwing a tantrum though which caused him to miss the fact that his mama had found him instead of him finding her.

"Don't run off like that, DemiVeemon!" Meredith's voice yanked DemiVeemon's attention.

"Mama!" DemiVeemon called and this time when he tried to jump out of Amelia's arms, she let him go. His mommy came back! She didn't abandoned him; she was worried about him after all!

DemiVeemon ran to Meredith and jumped up, as she caught him. The little Digimon snuggled into Meredith's arm, crying softly and saying words that were impossible to make at the time. Amelia smiled, but glanced at Kyaromon when he nudged her leg. Before anything else could be said, there was a huge crashing noise coming from the beach.

"Oh no." Amelia muttered the words as she shared a knowing look with Meredith. If anything… she hoped it wasn't the demons. If they were, she prayed for a miracle if they could beat them.

Meredith ran back to the beach with DemiVeemon in her arms. Amelia was a few steps behind since she had bend down and picked up Kyaromon.

"What's going on?" Meredith called out as she and Amelia emerged from the forest.

"It's Lilithmon." Bokomon sounded grave. Why does she have to be right? Looking ahead, it was the demon herself looking confident as ever.

Lilithmon smirked, "So good to see you all again so soon."

Bokomon stared at her, "She's the Demon of Lust and very evil."

"Well, of course she is." Takuya was unsurprised, how could anyone be surprised at this point?

Koji sighed, "She sure has lousy timing."

"How about we do this the easy way, you give me your Spirits and we don't have to worry about fighting? I would stay to chat, but there are better things to do than talk to you human children. How does that sound?" Lilithmon gave an 'innocent' smile but it promised harm if her way wasn't given to her.

Zoe scoffed, "Hmph. Sounds stupid to me."

Koji grumbled, "But we don't have our D-Tectors."

It took Meredith a second to realize what Koji said, "What do you mean you don't have them?"

Takuya gave a nervous laugh, "Our D-Tectors seemed to have, vanished?"

"Things don't just vanish." Amelia spoke, but glared at Lilithmon. She gripped her D-Tector tightly as she continued to glare at the Demon of Lust, "She probably had something to do with them disappearing."

Zoe took a step forwards, "I'll handle her."

"We'll handle her." Meredith and Amelia said the words together.

J.P. was surprised and worried, "Zoe..." he wasn't too thrilled to hear it. Zoe just got her Spirit back and he was afraid she might be a bit rusty.

Zoe grinned confidently, "Don't worry, J.P. I'll take care of her in no time."

"Let's see who the strongest woman is then." Lilithmon sneered as she looked down on Zoe, Amelia, and Meredith.

"Evil Sigh." Promptly after that some kind of dark purple mist began to appear and started towards the Warriors.

Zoe smiled as she summoned forth her Fractal Code, scanning it quickly, "Execute: Spirit Evolution!"

Zoe was beyond excited to say that phrase again and being able to Spirit Evolve. She had missed Kazemon dearly, and if she wasn't crazy, she felt like her Spirit had missed her as well. As Zoe emerged as Kazemon, the mist had just started to reach the group.

Kazemon raised her hands, "Hurricane Wave!"

The thin tornados that erupted from her fingertips passed harmlessly by her allies and once it reached the mist it tore through it. Kazemon's attack caused the attack to be blown away – this surprised Lilithmon, as she glared at Kazemon, "How dare you!"

Meredith handed DemiVeemon to Takuya, "She's not the only one who can take you on." She was peeved at Lilithmon's arrival. Thinking the Demon of Lust can have her way just because she say so. Makes her want to punch her repeatedly.

Takuya looked at DemiVeemon and DemiVeemon looked at him. Both looked slightly puzzled by Meredith's actions, even if they knew what was coming next.

DemiVeemon smiled at him, "Papa."

Meredith scanned her own Fractal Code, "Execute: Spirit Evolution!"

"Sakanamon!"

Amelia glanced down at Kyaromon who just smiled at her and jumped from her arms. As the Fractal Code formed she scanned it, not wanting to be left behind.

Amelia giggled slightly as she was swallowed by the Fractal Code, 'I love how this is backwards – usually it's the guys protecting the girls!' Oh cliche, you know to make things interesting.

"Execute: Spirit Evolution!" When Amelia emerged from as Legnamon, Kyaromon just stared in awe.

"Legnamon!"

"Darlings, do you think you can take me without your Beast Spirits?" Lilithmon stared at them, unimpressed and unafraid. She was confident in taking on three Human Spirits without lifting a pinky. It was like toying with kittens. All hiss and no bite.

Kazemon just grinned, "That's a silly question. Of course we do, darling."

Lilithmon glared at Kazemon, "Are you mocking me?!" No one mocks her and lives to see the day!

"I wouldn't dream of it. I'd rather fight!" Kazemon charged Lilithmon. And that's when the cat fight starts.

"Roseo Temporale!" The kick that Kazemon had aimed at Lilithmon was blocked.

A black bubble had appeared and taken the attack from Kazemon. Kazemon was unable to pull away and the bubble was sucking her in. As soon as she let out a pained scream, Lilithmon began to laugh. She should finish off the fairy girl since she already captured her. She was right to assume it was going to be easy.

"Tempest Whirlpool!" Sakanamon's attack served to force Lilithmon away.

The attack in fact did more than just that, to the surprise of enemy and ally. The whirlpool that had spawned was more than just one and it was more powerful than usual.

Kazemon yelped a bit in surprise when she was pulled out of the bubble that was sucking her, wood having wrapped tightly around her body and yanked her out.

"You alright Kazemon?" Legnamon questioned despite not looking from Lilithmon.

"Phantom Pain!" Lilithmon's attack hit Sakanamon, who let out a pained shriek.

Sakanamon stumbled and found herself laying on the shore where the tide was slowly raising. Kazemon and Legnamon seemed to freeze for a second after seeing what happened. The guys though, especially Takuya, was fuming at the sight of Sakanamon in pain.

Lilithmon looked over the female warriors, "Too scared to fight?"

Legnamon growled, "Oh, it's on now."

Legnamon raised her hands and as she did so the leaves of the forest being her started to rustle. Both Kazemon and Lilithmon noticed it however no one noticed the fact that Legnamon's eyes seemed to have gained a faint forest green glow to them.

Legnamon moved her arms so her open palms were facing Lilithmon, "Leaf Spiral."

A strong gust seemed rip through the air, carrying over the beach and thousands of leaves were carried among the gust. Lilithmon summoned up one of her bubbles to block it, looking cocky until the gust seemed to flow around the bubble that seemed to act a solid object in that second and caused the air current to split. She moved out the way and the leavers were going to miss but then they were re-directed.

Kazemon rushed forwards and the gust she kicked up caught the leaves and carried them to Lilithmon. Due to this Lilithmon didn't have time to react in time to create a bubble to block Kazemon or to move out of the way of the razor sharp leaves.

Kazemon rapidly kicked Lilithmon, "Roseo Temporale!"

The Warrior of Wind finished up her five rapid kick combo that had been accompanied by the sharp leaves with a kick mid back-flip.

"You won't get away with that!" Lilithmon shot forward in the air towards Kazemon.

"Nazar Nail!" As Lilithmon was going to hit Kazemon, who had done another flip she was caught off-guard, due to Kazemon not completely the flip but spinning.

"Tempest Twist!" Lilithmon's arm was caught in Kazemon's attack, but managed to pull herself back from getting seriously damaged.

"Sadly, I have to admit that you two are pretty good at this." Lilithmon begrudgingly stated that as she inspected her arm that had gotten hurt. She might've underestimated them, she thought as she cracked her knuckles.

Kazemon rolled her eyes, "Oh, Lilithmon. That means so little coming from you."

"I'm going to take you apart wing by wing." Lilithmon hissed the words at Kazemon.

Legnamon looked around when she realized that she wasn't hearing anything from Sakanamon. She also quickly realized that the Warrior of Water was gone, the trace of her left was a fading sand indent that was in the sand where she had fallen.

"Where'd Sakanamon go?" Legnamon's question made her friends worried but made Lilithmon laugh. Last she saw her, she was still writhering from Lilithmon's attack.

Kyle started clenching his fists, he hadn't felt this useless since the battle at Seraphimon's Castle.

"Did she run away?!" Lilithmon was howling in laughter at this point. She takes it back, her fight is going to be a piece of cake! Who knew the Warrior of Water is such a coward?!

Thanks to the distraction, no one noticed it. Lilithmon was busy laughing while the others were looking for any sign of Sakanamon who was missing. However, they were all missing the massive vortex that was quickly forming in the ocean.

"Tempest Whirlpool!" Sakanamon's voice broke through everything as a massive whirlpool, one that was easily a mile wide crashed into Lilithmon.

Sakanamon now stood on top of the water, which was swirling angrily beneath her feet. As Lilithmon struggled within the whirlpool there was bright light that appeared in front of Sakanamon floating above the water. Everyone stared surprised at what had appeared, it was a Spirit that very clearly belonged to Sakanamon.

"No, no!" Sakanamon shook her head and backed away from her Beast Spirit. Memories of Koji's, Takuya's, and J.P's experience in obtaining them appeared in her mind. Her body shook in fright.

"I don't want it!" Sakanamon nearly cried out the words. Out of all the times to find it, it had to be now! Now of all times!

'With that, all it will do is endanger my friends!' Sakanamon curled her hands into fists. Yet… she realized it's the only chance she'll get in defeating the Demons and stepping closer to defeating Cherubimon.

Lilithmon emerged from the whirlpool, "I'll take it then!"

Lilithmon went towards the Beast Spirit while Sakanamon remained frozen for a second.

'Even so, I won't let her have it!' Sakanamon brought forth her D-Tector and gripped it tightly – her D-Tector glowed, recognizing the Beast Spirit and started to call it in.

Lilithmon looked at Sakanamon, everyone else was looking at her as well. There was no telling what would happen next. So far, the moment that the others had gotten their Beast Spirits, they had gone right into Beast Spirit. So far up against the Demons, the Beast Spirits were doing the most amount of damage.

Fractal Code started to swirl around Sakanamon while the water that she was standing on was moving unnaturally. Seeing what was going on it was obvious what was going on and they knew what was going to emerge, the Beast Spirit of Water. Who knows what disastrous abilities this Spirit possesses. The Beast Spirit could create monsoons at will; uncontrollable rainfalls at her disposal; overriding floods, the possibilities are endless.

Lilithmon started to back away, 'I'm not stupid.' Knowing full well if the bratty Watergirl obtain her new spirit, Lilithmon wouldn't stand a chance, especially she can use the surroundings to her advantage.

"I have no desire to face the Water Beast here, of all places." Lilithmon hissed the words out, not liking the fact that she was going to retreat. But she prefer to see another day than be defeated by a bunch of human children.

Lilithmon made a quick exit and the boys started to cheer when they saw that, well besides Takuya. Takuya had approached the water, knowing that Meredith didn't want to go Beast and that she didn't even like the Beast Spirits.

The Fractal Code vanished revealing the form that was within.

For a couple of seconds, Meredith stood on the water. She fell into the water seconds later, but she broke the surface after a couple of seconds. She was expecting to be met with either an attack from Lilithmon or Lilithmon laughing but instead she was met with no Lilithmon whatsoever. She looked over to the shore and found that the guys were cheering while Kazemon and Legnamon were happy.

"Meredith!" Takuya called her name, a bit worried.

Meredith swam back.

'I should be happy.' Meredith thought as she reached the shore. She won the fight, they are all okay, and the enemy retreated with her tail between her legs. So why… why wasn't that enough?

Meredith was confused a bit. She really thought she should be happy that she had not Beast Spirit Evolved. Instead she just felt, let down and confused. Even a hint of anger and sadness mixed in the whirlpool of emotions she was feeling at the moment.

"Meredith, you ok?" Takuya asked a bit hesitantly, he saw the look in her eyes.

He wasn't able to describe it well, but her eyes lacked complete focus. Meredith's eyes looked like they were, caging some kind of wild animal in his mind.

"Takuya... dudes... I... I didn't... Beast Spirit Evolve. I..." Meredith was having trouble getting the words out.

Something was off about Meredith, it wasn't hard to see that. The redhead started to walk towards a piece of driftwood that had washed ashore at some point. She moved, oddly for her, and her steps were a bit uneven. This is one of those rare moments where Takuya had no idea what his best friend is thinking.

"Meredith?" Takuya called her name but she didn't respond.

Meredith picked up the stick and when she turned face to the others, everyone could see it. Her eyes looked empty and lacked light. It was easy to see that she had zoned out completely. Another seashell drifted on the sand. It was so pretty it was meant to be a keeper. The smooth surface with no bumps or cracks. Smash! It was immediately destroyed underneath the wood. Oh look, another one. Smash! Again and again! Over and over!

"That's not Meredith anymore." Bokomon stated it as they watched Meredith use the stick to shatter a seashell that had washed ashore.

"Uh, I don't think that should've happened!" J.P. exclaimed as he backed away from the girl. If anything, she looked like she was in a middle of a tantrum. Minus the screams and tears.

As Meredith turned towards J.P. Bokomon noticed it. The D-Tector that was clutched tightly in her hand was emitting a soft glow from the screen.

"Stay calm, make no sudden moves." Bokomon spoke and thankfully everyone listened.

Meredith ended up destroying a few other seashells and the poor sandcastle that DemiVeemon had built. DemiVeemon pouted seeing his sandcastle destroyed, hung his head and tried not to cry. The odd behavior from Meredith only lasted about a minute before she collapsed.

"Mama!" DemiVeemon shouted out in panic and worry – he jumped out of Takuya's arms and rushed to Meredith's side, Takuya was hot on his heels.

Bokomon rushed to Meredith's D-Tector, it had dropped to the ground. He picked it up and watched as the Beast Spirit of Water slowly faded off of the screen. The glow was disappearing as the Beast Spirit faded off of the screen.

Bokomon looked from Meredith's D-Tector and to her, "It looks like while Meredith didn't do a Beast Spirit Evolution, her Beast Spirit did manage to affect her." Apparently, the Beast Spirit of Water wanted desperately to make her appearance.

Takuya looked to Bokomon, "Is she going to be ok?"

Bokomon nodded, "She should be fine once she wakes up, she might not remember what happened though."

Hearing that Meredith was going to be fine made not only Takuya and DemiVeemon relax but everyone. Kazemon and Legnamon approached the others after dropping their Spirit Evolutions and going back to Zoe and Amelia, respectively.

After a few moments Koji sighed, "While this is nice and all, we should probably find our D-Tectors."

"Before anyone else decides to show up and tries to attack us; even if Amelia and I could take them." Zoe sounded confident.

"Yeah because you two totally had the last battle under control." J.P. said sarcastically.

Amelia shot a look at J.P., "We actually held up against Lilithmon pretty well for your information - I think even you have to admit that J.P." He should be thankful that the girls are taking care of the guys now. At least they stood a chance! That was something!

Choosing to leave it at that since none of them were really up to having an argument amongst themselves at this point, the group decided to begin looking for the missing D-Tectors.

'Bout time these guys caught a break, but I wouldn't count on it if I were them. Keep watching Digimon: Digital Monsters!
