Chapter 2: Meeting the goddess of female fertility, motherhood
Misfortunes of Love: Greek version
Snarling
letter/Thinking
Before we begin, I would like to clarify that in this fanfiction, the concept of time is different in each world.
A week in the Naru-verse equals one year in PJ.
A month in the Naru-verse equals a decade in PJ.
A year in the Naru-verse equals one century in PJ.
With that out of the way, here's chapter 2 enjoy.
When Naruto stepped out of the portal, he noticed that Sasuke had opened a portal to a peaceful world. Naruto got down on one knee and activated Sage Mode, his eyes gradually changing to orange with a cross, indicating that he was in Sage Mode. Naruto was a little taken aback when he noticed that there were many strong auras in this world. Unaware of it at the time, when he activated Sage Mode, he caught Gaia's attention. "What do you intend to do now, Naruto?"
"I don't know." Naruto replied back as he still tried to remain strong, but it was clear to Kurama that Naruto was trying to hide his emotions after what he saw a few hours ago. There was a brief silence between them as Naruto walked before Kurama suggested that they find a place to train and try to forget what had happened. After agreeing to the plan, Naruto started to move in an arbitrary direction.
Kronos, the king of the Titans, was sitting on his throne in the sky, unknown to the hero of the 4th Shinobi World War, when he suddenly straightened up as he sensed someone entering his world. He tried to gauge the strength of the one he was feeling; he tried to pinpoint it, but he couldn't because it had vanished.
Scene change
As Hinata lay on the bed, she clutched Naruto's old jumpsuit jacket tightly to her chest, inhaling deeply to catch a faint whiff of his scent that still lingered on the fabric. It had only been a day since he left this world, but it felt like an eternity without him.
The room was still and quiet except for the sound of Hinata's soft sobs as tears streamed down her face, leaving trails of moisture on the pillow beneath her head. Her hair was tangled and disheveled, a stark contrast to the neatly styled locks Naruto always admired.
Naruto's mischievous grin, determination to protect those he cared about, and unwavering loyalty to his friends flooded her mind. She remembered how his eyes would light up when he talked about his hopes and dreams, and how he always believed in her, even when she doubted herself.
Hinata knew she had to get out of bed and face the day, but the thought of leaving the comfort of Naruto's jacket was too much for her. She buried her face in the fabric, seeking comfort in the familiarity of his scent and the memories it evoked.
For the time being, all she could do was live each moment as it came and find solace in the things that made her think of Naruto. Hinata heard soft knocks on her door and said, in a dejected and empty voice, "It's open," before she could cry any more. The door slightly opened, and she saw her younger sister. Hanabi started to regret how she had exposed her sister when she had cheated on Naruto with Kiba as she saw the condition her sister was in.
When Hinata saw her sister, a flash of hatred and resentment flashed through her eyes for a moment before she let it go, knowing she couldn't hate her forever. Then, with a dejected sigh, she buried her face in Naruto's jacket and asked, "What do you want, Hanabi?" in a hushed tone. Hanabi's heart slightly ached when she heard her sister refer to her in that way.
"I'm so sorry, Hinata," Hanabi said, her eyes welling up with tears. "I was so wrong to do what I did. I never thought about how it would hurt you. Please forgive me."
Hinata's eyes were filled with pain and sadness as she looked up at her sister. "I'm not sure I can forgive you, Hanabi," she admitted. "You hurt me so much. And now, I've lost Naruto, the man I love. I don't know what to do."
Hanabi squeezed her sister close as she felt her own tears start to run down her cheeks. She said, "I understand if you can't forgive me. "But please know that I'm here for you now. I'll do everything in my power to support you during this.
Hanabi held her sister while harboring a strong sense of regret and guilt over what she had done. She felt compelled to right the wrongs and do everything in her power to help Hinata. Although she was aware that it wouldn't be simple, she was prepared to go to any lengths necessary to win her sister's forgiveness and aid in her recovery from this traumatic event.
Inside the Inuzuka compound
Kiba was trembling as his mother yelled at him, "You stupid boy, how could you break the clan rules!"Tsume was referring to clan rules about being loyal to the village and never betraying the clan, so you should never break or betray your friends and family.
"But I was int-toxicated, m-mother." He said trying to justify his action due to the alcohol. Tusme, however, was not hearing what her son was saying and slapped Kiba in the face, leaving a red hand mark.
"Do you realize what your actions have caused me and the clan? Not only did you sleep with Hinata, the heiress of the Hyuga clan, but you also brought shame to the clan."
"You leave me no choice as at this moment you are no longer the clan heir and Akamaru will be taken from you." Tusme had left, and she was trying to figure out how to repair the damage her idiotic son had caused.
Now, as he sat alone, he knew he had lost everything. He had lost Hinata as a friend, and he had damaged his relationship with Naruto, who had been his best friend since childhood. Kiba lowered his head, feeling ashamed and guilty.
He wanted to put the blame on the alcohol, but he knew deep down that this wasn't a valid defense. He wasn't nearly as inebriated as Hinata, and he had chosen consciously to act on his emotions.
Kiba was aware that he needed to apologize, but he wasn't sure where to begin. He didn't even know if Hinata would be willing to talk to him. He knew it would be difficult for him to win back her trust after having betrayed it.
Kiba came to the conclusion that he needed to take accountability for his actions as he sat there, lost in thought. He had to deal with the fallout from his actions and make an effort to make things right. Though it wouldn't be simple, he knew it was the right course to take.
Kiba inhaled deeply. He was aware that there was much to be done to undo the harm he had brought about, but he was prepared to take whatever steps were necessary. It was the very least he could do for his friends, as well as himself.
Scene change
When Naruto came across a hollow cave, he immediately began to run through the cavern, exercising and letting out all the emotions he had been holding inside. His heart was pounding with a mix of rage and sadness. He couldn't believe what he had seen in the council room of Hinata cheating on him with his friend. Naruto felt as if his entire world had been turned inside out. He had thought he and Hinata were happy together, but now he didn't know what to think.
He needed to clear his head, to get away from everything and focus on something else. So he went to a secluded area of a cave where he could train without being distracted. Beginning with some simple stretches, Naruto felt the tension in his muscles relax as he moved.
As he began to work up a sweat, Naruto felt his anger and frustration melt away. The physical effort served as a welcome diversion from his internal turmoil. He concentrated on his breathing, feeling the expansion and contraction of his lungs with each breath.
With each repetition of the exercises, Naruto felt his body getting stronger and more flexible. He kicked and punched the air, picturing his real and imagined foes as he battled his way through the cave.
He felt energised as the sweat streamed down his body, washing away all the hurt and pain he had been experiencing. Regardless of how long he had been training, Naruto felt as though he could go on forever.
He eventually slowed down, trying to calm his racing heart by taking a few deep breaths. Even though he knew he couldn't avoid emotions forever, the physical effort had given him a much-needed break for the moment. Naruto looked around the peaceful cave, a sense of calm washing over him.
Kurama was observing everything from within the mindscape. He hoped Naruto would regain his emotional personality soon, because this version of Naruto frightens him.
Scene change
Hinata could see the disgusted looks and sneers from the female residents of the village as she walked down the road to her clan compound with her sister because she knew there was a clan meeting and as the heiress of the clan, she had to attend.
"Look, there's the Hyuga slut."
"After what she did to Naruto-sama, how could that bitch show her face?"
"Damn bitch."
Hinata tried to ignore each insult they hurled at her, but it was clear that they were having some effect on her because her body was trembling and her lip was quivering. Hanabi felt guilty after seeing and hearing everything, but she didn't let it stop her from reaching out and lightly squeezing her sister's hand Hinata looked at her dark brown-haired sister, nodded, and squeezed back. Unbeknownst to the sisters, Kiba was nearby and witnessed everything that happened. "This is my chance to apologize." Kiba thought as he ran to the two Hyuga.
"Hinata!" He yelled, attracting not only her attention but also that of the villagers, but Kiba ignored them.
"Oh, oh," Hanabi thought. As soon as she spotted Kiba, she noticed that everyone else in the village had stopped what they were doing and was concentrating on them.
Kiba took a deep breath as he approached Hinata, his heart heavy with guilt and regret. He knew he had deeply hurt her and was desperate to make things right. He could see the pain and anger in her eyes the moment she saw him.
"I know you probably don't want to see me, which is understandable," he tried to catch his breath, "but I'm here to apologize for the pain and humiliation I've caused you."
"Hinata, please," Kiba began, his voice shaking with emotion. "I know I messed up, and I'm so sorry. I never meant to hurt you or Naruto."
Hinata crossed her arms over her chest, her expression cold and distant. "Do you really expect me to forgive you just like that?" she asked, her voice flat and emotionless.
Kiba shook his head, his eyes downcast. "No, I don't. I know I betrayed your trust, and I don't deserve your forgiveness. But please, just hear me out. I need to explain."
Hinata hesitated for a moment, then gave a small nod. "Fine," she said. "Explain."
Kiba took a deep breath and began to speak, his words tumbling out in a rush. He told Hinata everything, about how he had been jealous of Naruto and his relationship with her, how he had let his own insecurities and fears get in the way of their friendship. He apologized again and again, telling Hinata how sorry he was for what he had done.
But as he spoke, Hinata's face remained impassive, her arms still crossed over her chest. Kiba could feel the weight of her disappointment and anger pressing down on him, and he couldn't help but think of Naruto and the pain and betrayal he had caused him.
Finally, Hinata spoke. "Fuck off, Kiba, and leave me alone. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to forgive you, Kiba," she said. "You deeply hurt me, and you also deeply hurt Naruto."
Kiba's heart sank at her words, but he knew he deserved them. "I know," he said. "And I don't expect you to forgive me. But I hope that someday you will find it in your heart to give me another chance."
Hinata looked at him for a long moment, her expression unreadable. She turned and walked away, leaving Kiba by himself to deal with his guilt and regret.
It didn't take long for the Hyuga sisters to arrive at the compound
When they got there, they immediately went to a room, and when they walked in, they saw the current Hyuga clan head in the room with both the main and branch member. Hiashi couldn't help but feel disappointed and a little angry when he saw Hinata. Hinata's action cost the clan a lot because it was well known that Naruto was going to be the next Hokage, and if Naruto had married Hinata and become the village leader, it would have provided the clan with benefits similar to those enjoyed by the Sarutobi clan when Hiruzen was the Hokage. Although Hiashi didn't want to, he knew that he had to remove Hinata's heiress.
As the weight of Hiashi's words settled upon her, Hinata felt as though the room was spinning. She knew that her infidelity with Kiba would harm her clan's image, but she had never imagined it would cost her so dearly.
"Father, please," she pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper. "I know I made mistakes, but I will do anything to make things right."
Hiashi's expression remained cold and unyielding. "I am sorry, Hinata, but my decision is final. You have brought shame upon our clan, and I cannot allow you to continue as our heiress."
Hinata felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes, and she bit her lip to hold back a sob. She had always known that being the heiress of the Hyuga clan was her destiny, but now, it seemed as though that destiny was being taken away from her.
Hanabi, sensing Hinata's distress, spoke up. "Otou-san, please consider what you're doing. Hinata is a capable leader who has repeatedly demonstrated her devotion to the village and the Hyuga clan. She deserves the opportunity to make things right."
Hiashi's eyes narrowed as he turned to face Hanabi. "You are too kind, Hanabi. However, this decision is final. Hinata has betrayed the clan, and I cannot let her continue in her position."
Hinata's heart was breaking as she watched Hiashi rise from his seat and approach her. He took the Hyuga clan symbol from around her neck and placed it on the table between them, his heart heavy.
"You are no longer the heiress of the Hyuga clan," Hiashi said, his voice devoid of any emotion. "I'm sorry, Hinata, but you brought this on yourself."
Hinata felt her family's eyes on her as she stood up from her seat, her hands trembling with emotion. She knew that she had caused a rift between herself and her family and that it would take a long time to heal.
With a final bow to Hiashi and her family, Hinata turned and left the room, her heart heavy with despair.
Scene change
As Kronos devoured his children one by one, the sound of crunching bones echoed through the halls of Mount Olympus. When Rhea returned to Mount Olympus, she was met with a horrifying scene. The once-beautiful palace was now stained with blood and littered with Kronos' children's remains. Rhea was overcome with rage and despair as she realized the extent of Kronos' betrayal. As she confronted her husband, her heart was heavy with grief and rage.
"Kronos, what have you done?" Rhea demanded, her voice trembling from emotion.
Kronos raised his head from his meal, his mouth dripping with his children's blood. "How does it look, my dear?" he asked, a wicked grin on his face. "I'm just having a meal."
Rhea's eyes widened with surprise and disgust. "These were your own children!" How could you do this?"
Kronos shrugged casually. "They were frail. They would not have been able to survive in the world I have created."
Rhea's rage erupted as she confronted Kronos. "You are a monster, Kronos!" "How could you betray your own family in this way?"
Kronos' grin widened as he gazed up at Rhea. "I am the king of the gods, Rhea. I do as I please. And if that means getting rid of my weak children, so be it."
Rhea's heart broke as she realized her husband was beyond redemption. She knew she had to do everything she could to protect her next child, even if it meant turning against her own husband.
Rhea turned, disgusted and enraged, and left Kronos to his depraved feast. She would go to any length to protect her son and end Kronos' reign of terror.
Scene change
As Naruto completed his training, he couldn't help but think back on the few months he had spent in the cave learning all of the shinobi arts from the scrolls he had acquired from his family's home. He also worked on mastering all nine bejiū abilities, and thanks to Kurama, who can provide him with nutrients because of Kurama's chakra, Naruto could train for a long time without eating.
Kurama could feel the energy of the outside world pulsing through the cave's walls. The once peaceful world had devolved into chaos in a matter of months, and Kurama knew it was time for Naruto to emerge from the cave and see for himself.
"Naruto," Kurama said, his voice commanding and deep. "It's time for you to come out of the cage."
Naruto raised his head from the cave corner where he had been sitting, his eyes dull and lifeless. "Why?" he asked, barely audible above a whisper.
"Because the world has changed," replied Kurama. "You have to see it for yourself."
Naruto shook his head. "I can't," he said. "I'm not ready."
Kurama let out a frustrated growl. He knew Naruto had to face the world again if he was to regain his former self. But he also knew he couldn't force him.
Kurama softened his tone and said, "I know you're hurt. "However, if you stay here, you'll never improve. You'll be stuck in this cage forever."
Naruto looked up at Kurama, his eyes filled with uncertainty. He knew Kurama was correct, but the thought of leaving the safety of the cave filled him with dread.
Kurama changed his strategy after sensing Naruto's fear and hesitation. "Look, Naruto," he said. "I'll be with you every step of the way. We'll face the world together, and I swear I'll never let anything bad happen to you."
Naruto looked up at Kurama again, his eyes searching for any sign of deception. But he couldn't find any. He was aware that Kurama had always been there for him, even in his darkest hours.
"All right," Naruto said finally, his voice small and uncertain. "I'll come out."
As Naruto stood up and walked towards the cave's entrance, Kurama breathed a sigh of relief. The outside world awaited him, and with Kurama by his side, Naruto felt he might be able to face it.
Scene change
Rhea sat alone in a clearing, surrounded by the shattered remnants of her family. The once great and powerful goddess, was now a shadow of her former self, her eyes dull with grief and her body wracked with sobs.
It was then that Naruto stumbled upon her, his eyes widening in shock at the sight of the goddess before him. He noticed a woman with long black hair that cascaded in waves down her back. Her skin is pale and luminous, with a blue tint that alluded to her divine nature. She is dressed in a flowing white robe that falls gently around her, symbolizing her purity and grace. He paused for a moment, unsure how to approach her. But something in him stirred—a deep sense of empathy that urged him forward.
"Are you okay?" Naruto asked softly, taking a step closer.
Rhea was crying when she looked up and saw a tall, strong man with broad shoulders and a well-defined body that reflected his godly strength. His long, spiked, golden hair has long strands that trail behind him as he moves. His piercing blue eyes sparkled with an inner light that spoke of his strength and wisdom. She uttered "no," barely raising her voice above a whisper. "I am not okay. My husband, Kronos, has killed all of my children."
Naruto's heart went out to the grieving goddess, for he too had lost loved ones in the past. "I'm sorry for your loss," he said, sitting down beside her.
Rhea sniffled and wiped away a tear. "It's just so unfair," she said. "They were my children, and he took them from me. He was supposed to protect them, not destroy them."
Naruto nodded in understanding. "I know how you feel," he said. "I lost my parents when I was young. It's not fair, but sometimes life can be cruel."
Rhea looked up at Naruto, surprised by his words. For the first time since her children's deaths, she felt a glimmer of hope. Perhaps there was someone who understood her pain, someone who could help her through this dark time.
As the two continued to talk, they discovered more and more similarities between themselves. They both had been dealt a difficult hand in life, and both had overcome incredible odds to become stronger.
For Rhea, talking with Naruto was a balm to her wounded heart. She felt a sense of connection and camaraderie with him that she had not felt in years. And for Naruto, being able to help someone in need was a reminder of the kind of person he was.
As the sun set, Naruto stood up and looked at her hazel brown eyes, which reflected her wisdom and insight. As a mother, he then extended a hand to Rhea. "I know it won't bring back your children," he said, "but I'm here for you. You don't have to face this alone."
Rhea took his hand, and for the first time today, her face was calm and composed, with a slight smile that conveyed her gentle nature, and she felt grateful and appreciative for this kind young man. Perhaps there was hope for her yet, and with Naruto's help, she might one day find peace.
Naruto then performed some impressive hand seals and summoned his Hiraishin Kunai, and thanks to his clones and kurama over the months, he was able to crack the code to his father's prized possession.
"Use this if you want to chat or need anything." While Naruto is aware that she could use it to trap him because he is not from this world, he remains optimistic that she will use it for the right reasons.
The kunai knife was gently taken by Rhea and placed inside her dress with great care.
With that, the two left.
Time-skip
Kronos was sitting on his throne, and Rhea had been upset with him for a few weeks, so she left his temple and went to her. "Why can't she understand why I'm doing all of this?" He pondered this because he was well aware of the prophecy that one of his offspring would overthrow him in the same way that he had done to his father.
"Come to think of it, I haven't seen her in two weeks."
Worried that she would give birth in secret, he summoned one of his generals, "Atlas!" He shouted.
"Yes, my lord," Atlas replied as he approached the throne and kneeled before the king.
"Go find my wife. I suspect she is secretly giving birth and reporting your findings back to me." Atlas nodded once more before bowing and departing.
Scene change
Naruto and Rhea spent a lot of time together, exploring the world and bonding over shared experiences while being wary of Kronos' watchful eye. Naruto took special care to ensure Rhea's comfort and safety, especially since she was pregnant.
They went for walks in the forest, with Naruto keeping an eye out for any potential hazards. They also went swimming in a remote lake, where Naruto assisted Rhea in floating and relaxing. He even taught her a few basic swimming strokes while being careful not to harm the baby.
They arrived at the summit and were greeted with a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. Rhea was ecstatic, her eyes twinkling with wonder and amazement. Naruto felt a sense of pride and satisfaction knowing he had assisted her in accomplishing her goal while keeping her safe.
Naruto couldn't help but feel sad as they descended the mountain. He was aware that their time together was drawing to a close and that they would have to part ways soon. He was grateful, however, for the time they had spent together and the bond they had formed.
Rhea turned to Naruto and expressed her gratitude for their many adventures and good times over the months. Naruto had helped Rhea overcome her depression following the deaths of her children, and she would always be indebted to him.
Both Naruto and Rhea sensed Atlas trying to find her, so Rhea returned to her temple after a strong but gentle hug.
Naruto, on the other hand, went to his large island, which he had discovered a few weeks before after Rhea told him about the titans and primordials. When Naruto found a suitable living space in good condition, he immediately went to work, placing seals all over the island and coating it with some of his chakra to ensure that no other gods or primordials could find him.
Scene change
Kronos was making his way to Rhea's temple after Atlas informed them that she was still crying. When he entered Rhea's temple, he noticed his wife gently massaging her baby bump while singing to it. Kronos feels a pang of guilt, but he knows it's necessary, and as king, he must make sacrifices.
"I know you're about to give birth in a few hours," he said commandingly, "so once the baby is out, you're to go to my temple so I can eat it."
He didn't even wait for her to respond before leaving. He is confident that she would follow his instructions because, although she is a strong goddess, fighting is not her style.
Rhea immediately went outside in the darkness after Kronos left, determined to save her last child.
Rhea was in great distress, pleading for help in the dead of night. She cried out to her mother Gaia, the Earth goddess, hoping that she would hear her.
"Mother, please hear me!" Rhea cried out, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I need your help. I can't do it alone."
Gaia, who was always tuned in to her children's cries, heard Rhea's plea and came to her aid. She appeared in a dazzling display of light before Rhea, her warm and comforting presence filling the room.
"My dear daughter, what is it that bothers you so much?" Gaia asked, her voice gentle and soothing.
Rhea explained the situation to her mother, telling her about the child she was carrying and the danger that surrounded them. She begged Gaia to assist her in finding a way to protect her child from harm.
Gaia listened intently, her heart heavy with concern for her daughter and her grandchildren. She knew the child was destined for greatness, but she also knew it would face many challenges and dangers in life.
"Rhea, my child," Gaia said as she took her daughter's hand in hers. "I will do all that I can to protect you and your child. But I need your help. You must tell me what you want me to do."
Rhea paused for a moment before making a bold decision. She knew she couldn't raise the child on her own and that the child required a strong and capable father figure. And she could only think of one person who fit that description: Naruto.
"Mother," Rhea called out, her voice shaking with emotion. "Please give my child to Naruto. He is a warrior, a leader, and a true friend. He will raise and train my child to become a great hero."
Gaia looked at Rhea with a mix of surprise and admiration. She knew that Naruto was a powerful warrior and that he had a heart of gold. But she also knew that raising a child was a great responsibility, one that would require all of Naruto's skills and abilities.
"Are you sure, my dear?" Gaia asked. "This is a huge responsibility that should not be taken lightly."
Rhea nodded, her resolve visible in her eyes. "I am certain, mother," she replied. "Naruto is the only person I trust to protect and raise my child. Please assist me in making this happen.
Gaia smiled, her love and pride for her daughter shining through. She replied, "Very well, my dear. "I'll lend a hand. I will ensure that your child is born safely and that Naruto is prepared to take on this enormous responsibility."
Gaia vanished with those words, leaving Rhea with a sense of hope and reassurance. She knew her child would be in good hands with Naruto, and that the two of them would work together to help the child fulfill its destiny as a hero.
The end Please read the author's notes carefully, and I sincerely hope you enjoy this chapter.
1. I should have been more specific about what I meant by what personality the gods should have. Certain myths and interpretations, for example, portray the gods and goddesses in either a positive or negative light. Therefore I'd like you, the reviewers, to tell me which personalities you'd like to see among the 12 Olympians. Don't worry about the minor or primordial gods. (For example, make Athena arrogant or make Athena work on her arrogance so she doesn't come across as arrogant; another example is make Hera have a bitchy attitude or devote more time to her family's domain.) ALSO, PLEASE NUMBER THEM.
2. What should be Naruto's domain?
3. And the reason why Gaia knows where Naruto's Island is is because she is Mother Earth.
4. The current harem members are Rhea, Leto, Astraea, and Hestia.
Stay tuned for the next chapter, in which Naruto raises and trains Zeus with the help of Gaia
