The Next Day

The energy in the stadium was electric as the crowd was abuzz at the thought of the fight about to take place. One hunter who didn't use weapons was rare enough, but two? The crowd could hardly contain their excitement at the thought of seeing the two martial artists clash.

This was the atmosphere Seraphina met when she arrived in the stands. Having seen Mori off previously, she decided to sleep in a bit and set out after his departure. Searching for a seat with the best view, Seraphina didn't have to look long before she caught sight of a hand waving in her direction.

"Hey Seraphina! Over here!" She heard as she looked to the source of the waving to find Remi with a bright smile on her face.

Blyke was seated next to her with a small smile of his own that was aimed at her. To her surprise, she found them sitting next to Jaune and Pyrrha, who were separating them form team RWBY. Making her way over, she struck up a conversation as she sat down.

"You're looking better. Are you all healed up?" Seraphina asked the electricity user.

"Yup! The medical staff they have on hand here are really good, so they had us in and out in no time." Remi responded enthusiastically. "I saw your match with John… You guys really looked like you had a lot to say to each other." Remi said with a knowing smile towards her friend.

"Me and John… still have a lot to talk about. All I can say for sure is that you guys probably won't get any more grief from him." Seraphina reassured. Before she could say anything else, the sound of the microphones turning on clued Seraphina into the start of the pre-match processions.

"Hello one and all, and welcome to the third day of the Vytal Festival!" Port began.

"Today, we'll be having the semifinal match of the tournament. In light of this, we found it prudent to update you all on the updated rule of the tournament." Oobleck announced as a pop-up appeared on screen. "For the semi and final matches of the tournament, the randomized environments will be scrapped in favor of the plain metal arena." Oobleck read off, getting no complaints from the crowd. It would seem nobody wanted anything obstructing their view of these next matches.

"With that out of the way, let's announce today's fighters!" Port yelled as the screens lit up with a blue background and a black portrait in the middle. "On the blue side, fiercely wielding powerful Mistralian martial arts and hailing from Mistral Academy we have Ilpyo Park!" The man yelled as the portrait filled in to reveal Ilpyo. Replacing the revealed Ilpyo was a red background and another black portrait exactly where Ilpyo's was. "And on the red side, with martial arts, a staff that appears from nowhere, and a cloud that bends to his will. Hailing from Beacon Academy, we have Mori Jin!" Port said as Mori's portrait filled in as well.

As soon as Port finished calling out the fighters, the doors opened on either side of the arena. On each side, each martial artist walked calmy towards the center of the arena. Ilpyo walked with both hands in his hoodie pocket and a small smile on his face, his closed eyes emitting a feeling of mirth. Meanwhile, Mori trekked towards his opponent with both eyes trained on him, finding himself unable to find any openings in his seemingly relaxed opponent. Once they reached the center, surprisingly, it was Ilpyo who spoke first.

"So, we meet again, Mori Jin." Ilpyo said with the same smile on his face as he opened his eyes to look at Mori for the first time.

"Guess so! I had a feeling that we'd both make it here when we met in town." Mori said with a smirk of his own.

"I did too, seeing your martial arts back then; I knew nobody here would be able to stop you… so how about we make this match a little more interesting?" Ilpyo offered to the now curious Mori. Seeing that he had his opponent's attention, Ilpyo decided to continue. "How about we use nothing but our fists and semblances in this match?"

To a normal hunter-in-training, such a deal would be preposterous and would be met with a swift refusal. Thankfully, Mori Jin wasn't a normal hunter.

"Sounds fun! Let's do it. That way we'll also get to see whose techniques are better." Mori accepted with excitement practically radiating off of him.

'If only you knew…' Ilpyo thought slightly darkly in light of Mori's blind enthusiasm.

"Are both fighters ready?" Oobleck called out over the speakers, getting no reaction from those mentioned. "In that case, Begin the match!" He called out.

Ilpyo began by levelling a glare at Mori. His glare was so powerful that it caused those looking at him through the screens to freeze up for a moment. The glare was quickly interrupted by Mori's knee slamming into Ilpyo's face, however.

'Re: Taekwondo: Baekdu!' Mori called out mentally as his attack landed. His attack didn't end there, however, as when he began to fall; Mori grabbed the back of Ilpyo's raised hood and quickly leapt from the ground. 'Re: Taekwondo: Baekdu 2x!' Mori thought as he landed the second knee strike to the temporarily stunned Ilpyo's face.

Allowing Ilpyo to stumble back, Mori followed up with a high kick towards Ilpyo's head. The kick ended up getting evaded, however, as Ilpyo ducked under it using the backwards momentum he'd built up while stepping back.

"Did you know…" Ilpyo began as he suddenly bent forward, reversing his momentum, and shooting forward. "That Renewal Taekwondo has three glaring weaknesses?" He said as he grabbed a shocked Mori by the arm, interrupting the prep for his next technique.

Not responding, Mori attempted to lash out with a punch. Smirking, Ilpyo stood his ground instead of dodging and Ilpyo drove his palm into Mori's chest. This sent the monkey faunus skidding away as Ilpyo called out his technique out loud.

"Ssam-Su Taekkyeon: Combat Pulse."

'Damn, He saw through my feint that easily…?' Mori thought, wondering how Ilpyo knew the punch was a bluff. He didn't have time to ponder, however, as Ilpyo hurriedly closed the distance between them.

Reaching out in an attempt to get a grip on his opponent, Mori was slightly surprised that Ilpyo simply brushed his hand to the side. Instead, Ilpyo smacked the back of his wrist into the front of Mori's, causing a small shock to travel through his system. Undeterred, Mori began the prep for a low kick.

'Re: Taekwondo- '

"Ssam-Su Taekkyeon: Enlightenment." Ilpyo called out, interrupting Mori's thoughts as he placed his foot upon the one Mori was attempting to kick with.

'tch. He's using my muscles to read my moves…?' Mori realized as he snapped his arm back and jumped back a little before attempting a fast high kick.

Seemingly predicting such a reaction, Ilpyo ducked under the high kick and launched an attack of his own. Rocketing his foot upwards, the bottom of his foot contacted Mori's chin with a thud, causing the monkey faunus to briefly lose his balance and fall to his knees.

"Weakness number one… Renewal Taekwondo is weak in close combat." Ilpyo said.

Hearing this, Mori slammed his hand against the ground and attempted a spin kick at Ilpyo's face from his position on the ground.

Letting out a grunt of surprise, Ilpyo ducked under the kick and spun around the surprised Mori. Using a kick of his own, Ilpyo slammed his foot against the back of Mori's head, trapping the boy in a painful faceplant. After taking a step back and allowing his opponent to sit up, Ilpyo stuck his hand out to the boy "Now, now. We can't have this ending already, right?"

Taking the hand that was offered to him, Mori used it to stand up. Still holding on and slightly panting, Mori responded. "Ssam-Su Taekkyeon, huh? It's pretty fun." Mori said with a small grin on his face. His grin quickly shifted into a look of concentration as he and Ilpyo restarted their bout.

Firing a punch with his free hand towards the idle Ilpyo, Mori was unsurprised when his fist was caught. Using the brief moment when Ilpyo's line of sight was blocked, Mori launched a straight kick at Ilpyo's midsection that connected. This caused Ilpyo to release Mori's punching hand, but he still kept a firm grip on the hand Mori accepted previously.

Using the increased space, Mori's kick had granted him, Ilpyo raised his foot high to bring it down onto a crouching Mori. Eyes widening, Ilpyo suddenly paused his dropkick an inch from hitting Mori's head as he tensed up to block the attack he knew was coming. Snapping his hand up to the right, Ilpyo was surprised when no attack came.

'He baited me by using my enlightenment against me?' Ilpyo thought to himself as he looked back at Mori in time to notice the air spinning around him as Mori called out his next technique.

"Re: Taekwondo: True Round Kick!"

An explosion from the force of the air forced a cloud of dust to obscure the two from sight.

The cloud didn't last for long, however, as a translucent gray wind cut through the dust, revealing the figures of Mori and Ilpyo both still standing. The two boys were deadlocked with their legs connected at the knee as Ilpyo called out his technique.

"Ssam-Su Taekkyeon: True Reverse Kick"

In the special spectator's box allotted for Ozpin and his confidants, Ozpin sat with his eyes glued to the match before him. Glynda, the only other one present on account of Ironwood having security-related duties to attend to, was watching the interested Ozpin with surprise.

"Headmaster, you seem very interested in this match in particular. Is there any special reason why?" Glynda asked.

Refusing to tear his eyes from the match before him, Ozpin answered without moving his head. "Well, Glynda. I'm sure you remember what I said yesterday. About the two individuals that would help us end this war?" He asked her in return.

Eyes widening at the implication, Glynda refocused on the match as well. "Which one of them?" Glynda asked, slightly confusing Ozpin. "I deduced that Pyrrha Nikos is one of them, but who's the other?"

Ozpin's eyes returned to their normal state as a small smirk grew on his face. The smirk turned into a series of chuckles before long as Ozpin moved to cover his mouth with his hand.

Glynda, now the confused one, was looking at her boss with a small frown on her face at his reaction. "I fail to see what's so funny about this, professor." She spoke.

"Well, you see… Pyrrha Nikos was never one of the individuals I had in mind when I said that." Ozpin revealed, shocking Glynda.

"So, you mean…" Glynda said, her throat going dry as she looked at the match with renewed interest.

"Yes. Mori Jin and Park Ilpyo… They are the keys to ending this conflict once and for all." Ozpin revealed as the match continued.

The deadlock of kicks was broken when suddenly Mori went flying straight up into the air. A visible black wind carried him up, spinning him around as Ilpyo reset his stance.

Looking at the spot where Mori was going to land, Ilpyo suddenly felt something coming from the back of his head. Spinning in place, Ilpyo was able to dodge a falling kick that would've knocked him forward. Using the momentum of his spin, Ilpyo caught Mori in the face with a quick jab that caused the monkey faunus to close his eyes and a kick to the ankle that crippled his landing.

Inhaling sharply, Ilpyo then began to rain punches down on the still-defenseless Mori. He only managed to get a few blows before Mori grabbed his arm. Predicting his attack with Enlightenment, Ilpyo was quick to lean back, avoiding a two-combo kick from the faunus.

Mori expected this, however, and bent his leg at the knee so that the appendage wrapped around Ilpyo's neck.

'Re: Taekwondo: Guard Breaker.' Mori thought as he completed his grab.

Ilpyo had a response at the ready, however. Jumping up and wrapping his entire body around Mori's leg, Ilpyo sent his foot on a collision course with Mori's face. Once the kick connected, Mori lost balance, allowing both combatants to tumble to the ground, with both taking damage from the fall.

Rolling away, Mori shot back to his feet and charged Ilpyo, who had also found his way to his feet. 'If I can't land any attacks, I'll just have to overwhelm him until I can!' Mori thought as he prepped his next technique.

'Re: Taekwondo: 3rd Stage Hwechook!' Mori thought as he spun, sending a kick high, low and to the middle.

Ilpyo answered this with a technique of his own. 'Ssam-Su: Nakyoung' He thought as he spun opposite to Mori and countered each of his strikes with one of his own.

'Re: Taekwondo: Scissors' Mori thought as he recovered from his previous attempt and spun perpendicular to Ilpyo, sending a kick towards his face.

'Ssam-Su: Inner Chagi' Ilpyo thought as he simply send a kick between an opening in Mori's midsection, connecting a kick to the boy's face with a crack.

Stumbling back but still intent on landing a hit, Mori charged in once again with a new attack. 'Re: Taekwondo: Goryeo' sending out several kicks to all of Ilpyo's weak points, Mori was surprised when he spotted a pale blur headed for his face. Being in the middle of an attack, all Mori could do was slightly move down and allow the foot to tap his forehead. This caused Mori to fall back onto his hind quarters, panting heavily as he looked up at the now-glaring Ilpyo.

"Weakness number 2, your attack targets are limited and therefore predictable." Ilpyo said, allowing his words to sink into the lost looking Mori. "Are you sure you understand Renewal taekwondo…?" He asked with genuine curiosity.

"Then… How about this!" Mori said as he shot up to his feet with wind currents building up around him. 'I'll go with the one I used against Yang.' He thought as he prepared to jump.

Ilpyo stood his ground as he saw the image of a dragon forming around Mori. "Weakness number 3…" Ilpyo began as Mori jumped, only to get about a foot off the ground before losing his balance and crashing, looking severely confused. "Renewal Taekwondo is supposed to be used for instant kills, and thus takes a heavy burden on the user when used for long periods." Ilpyo revealed to the shocked Mori.

"The fact that you don't know that…" Ilpyo said as he approached a shakily standing Mori. "And how you fight with no strategy…" He said as he landed a kick to Mori's chin that went uncontested. "Are the reasons why you'll lose this match!" Ilpyo said as he went for a finishing punch to Mori's temple, but paused as Mori's hand swung at him at a diagonal angle.

His body paused as it tried to understand what just happened as a cut appeared across his chest along the course Mori used. His mind suddenly being thrown into disarray, Ilpyo was unable to counter Mori as he swiftly stepped into his guard.

Mori had his foot planted in Ilpyo's guard with the back of his wrist against the front of Ilpyo's as he said the last thing anyone expected.

"Ssam-Su Taekkyeon: Enlightenment."

-GoR-

Spectating such rollercoaster ride of a match was something nobody in the audience could have predicted. That nobody also happened to include Mori's classmates and even his own partner, who's eyes were left wide at the displays of skill before them.

"Unbelievable…" A voice said next to Seraphina, causing her to look at the source; only to find that Arlo had arrived and sat next to her at some point.

"Honestly," Seraphina responded. "That Ilpyo guy is a monster on a whole different level from anyone else we've seen; but Mori's still managing to not only keep up, but also close the gap between them by covering for his weaknesses as the fight goes on…" Seraphina analyzed.

"That's one hell of a partner you've got." Arlo said as he witnessed Mori copy Ilpyo's move from earlier after seemingly cutting him without a blade.

"Yeah…" Seraphina said, looking on as Ilpyo moved to break the deadlock. "He really is one of a kind."

-GoR-

As Ilpyo moved his leg for a kick, Mori got a sensation telling him where Ilpyo was going to target.

'A right high kick!' Mori thought as he moved to block accordingly.

A wave of confusion overtook Mori as instead of the kick he predicted, he felt a blow land on the left side of his ribcage. Closing an eye and grunting slightly from the pain, Mori's eyes redirected to Ilpyo's face just in time to see the boy's smirk.

"I know the weaknesses of my own techniques, you know." Ilpyo said matter-of-factly as he evaded Mori's follow-up punch. "Enlightenment's biggest weakness is its inaccuracy with simultaneous attacks." Ilpyo provided for Mori as he dodged a low sweep. What Ilpyo didn't expect, was a hand to grab the back of his head and force it into Mori's knee.

"'Renewal Taekwondo is weak in close combat'." Mori quoted as he followed up with another knee before pulling back and punching Ilpyo in the face, causing him to stumble back. "Solved."

Recovering from the assault, Ilpyo charged back in, intent on getting some revenge hits in, but hesitated upon seeing Mori setting up for a high kick. Guarding his neck area, Ilpyo was sure that he could block Mori's attack since all of the kicks in Mori's arsenal aimed for that area.

Imagine his surprise when Mori's kick swings low and hits him in the knee before Mori landed a powerful elbow strike to Ilpyo's stomach, causing him to hunch over slightly from the impact.

'Impossible… He changed the angle of his kick so he could take me out and simultaneously use the momentum to fuel an elbow strike normally used to strike the opponent's face…?' Ilpyo thought as he looked at the concentrating visage of Mori Jin with a competitive smirk.

"'Renewal Taekwondo has limited attack targets and is predictable because of it'. Solved" Mori said to his slightly panting opponent.

'Mori Jin… You just keep getting better!' Ilpyo thought as he engaged his opponent once more.

Lashing out with an uppercut, Ilpyo expected Mori to dodge but was surprised that he just took the hit in order to land a cross on Ilpyo's exposed cheek. This started a series of traded punches that immersed Mori and Ilpyo more and more into their battle with each blow that connected.

"What… will you do about… the last weakness?" Ilpyo asked between blows with an uncharacteristic grin on his face.

"That?... There's not much… I can do about that right… now… so I'll just strengthen…my body." Mori answered in kind.

After answering Mori disengaged and started the familiar process of a True kick, causing Ilpyo to begin the prep for a Reverse kick. Ilpyo's surprise continued when Mori proceeded to follow through with the kick, leading to the same storm of winds as before.

'What could he be planning?' Ilpyo thought as Mori spun away immediately instead of holding the deadlock like last time. While pondering the possibilities, Ilpyo noticed that the wind seemed to be blowing especially strongly towards Mori. Looking around briefly, he noticed the fading presence of Mori's semblance in the air around them. 'so, he used his semblance to gather the wind towards him…?'

As Ilpyo saw Mori's feet slide apart, he already knew what was coming and began to prepare a kick to counter the one he knew was coming. Bending his right knee and bringing it up to his chest, a fire lit on the lifted appendage. Straightening out his knee so his foot was in the sky, Ilpyo's foot brought forth a massive blade of fire from the ground in front of him.

'Inferno Kick Stage Three…' Ilpyo thought as he waited for the right time to fire.

'Mori Jin Original…' Mori thought as he wound up his wind-powered kick.

'Turbine Kick! / Inferno Nirvana Kick!' Mori and Ilpyo thought as they both fired their ultimate kicks at each other, causing an explosion of white that briefly blinded the spectators of the match.

The flash soon subsided, however, leaving a blanket of dust to obscure the battlefield. This caused the crowd to fall into a deathly silence as they awaited the results of the battle with bated breath.

They didn't have to wait for long, however, as the dust cleared away to reveal the one left standing.

Mori Jin.

Mori Jin was the lone person standing on the field, as Ilpyo was laid out on his back. The youth was breathing hard with a smile on his face as Mori turned to walk away, not even sparing a look at the scoreboard as he knew his opponent wouldn't be getting up.

.

.

.

Then a chill rose up his spine as he felt a presence behind him that was so powerful, it made him actually sweat in fear as he turned around to face the threat, only to find Ilpyo standing once again.

Except this time, he looked different. Way different.

The Ilpyo that stood before Mori looked mostly identical to the one, he was fighting with a few seconds ago with a few notable exceptions. First of which was the snow-white hair that replaced the boy's previously dark blue locks. Second were the licks of fire that were cascading off of his being as well as the nine fox tails that stood stiffly behind him. And last, but definitely not least, were the brown fox ears that now displayed themselves proudly out of his head.

Upon seeing this, Mori got back into a fighting stance, and took a quick glance at the scoreboard to see how much damage he had to inflict to win.

Ilpyo's aura meter had also refilled to full… meanwhile, Mori's was dangerously close to falling below 20 percent…

This was going to be a rough match.

-GoR-

The stands were going crazy upon witnessing Ilpyo's transformation. Civilians and Hunters alike were questioning how it was possible that the clearly human boy could just get up a faunus with completely different features.

One of the most confused, however, was one Blake Belladonna. Being a faunus that tried as hard as she could to hide her heritage, Ilpyo's seeming ability to hide his at will was of particular interest.

"How did he do that? Transforming from a human to a faunus should be impossible…" She quietly asked nobody in particular, although this was not the only question on everyone's minds.

"Not only that, but his aura. It's completely refilled!" Ruby pointed out as she watched the match with an uncharacteristically intense gaze after witnessing such a turn of events.

"Those are some valid questions, but do you guys feel that?" Seraphina asked, bringing everyone's attention to the oppressive aura that was currently filling the arena.

"You feel it too? I'd chalked it up to my own nerves, but if you're feeling it too then it must be coming from that Ilpyo guy." Weiss said.

"I'm not sure what this feeling is, but one thing is for sure." Seraphina said, pausing before saying such a crazy thought.

"What he's using definitely isn't aura… It's something much more powerful…"

-GoR-

Ozpin was absolutely ecstatic.

The match was going exactly as he'd envisioned it. Mori and Ilpyo's fight was bound to be a spectacle, that he already knew, but for Ilpyo to awaken during the match was something he could have only hoped for.

"This solidifies it, Glynda." Ozpin said to his confused aide. "With this, we are in possession of the key to turning the tides against Salem once and for all." He said with joy in his usually monotone voice.

Not used to hearing the headmaster speak with such elation, Glynda was caught off guard and didn't know how to respond at first. Steeling her resolve, however, Glynda soon asked the burning question that everyone wanted to know.

"Professor Ozpin, what is going on down there?" Glynda asked in a stern voice that left no room for excuses.

"Seeing as how things will be moving much more quickly from now on, perhaps now would be the best time to tell you." Ozpin said to himself as he cleared his throat without ever taking his eyes off the match.

"Glynda, let me tell you about a thing called Borrowed Power..."

-GoR-

Back in the arena, Mori was sizing up the new Ilpyo that stood before him. The shock that was seeing Ilpyo's aura completely refilled dampened Mori's hopes of victory, but they remained, nonetheless. The nonchalant stance Ilpyo was in as well as the oppressive aura he was giving off left Mori hesitant to attack. Combine this with the fact that merely looking at Ilpyo in this form was causing Mori's head to hurt and you had a recipe for disaster.

Mori's thoughts were put on hold for a moment, however, as Ilpyo looked calmy around with specific emphasis on Mori and Ozpin's viewer box.

"I see… How amusing." Ilpyo said in a voice that seemed to hold more wisdom than the one he spoke in before.

"What is?" Mori asked in a guarded tone, still wary of his opponent.

"Nothing. I'm just wondering how much of this is fate and how much is coincidence is all." He responded with a mysterious smile that left Mori puzzled. Seeing the confused look on the monkey faunus' face, Ilpyo elected to just continue. "Anyways, would you like to continue? I'd attempt to talk you out of it by stating how much stronger I am, but we both know you're too stubborn for that." Ilpyo offered.

Eye twitching from the slight jab, Mori responded as expected. "Hell yeah, I'll keep going! Besides there's no way you're- "Mori was cut off by a fist colliding with his midsection. The impact of the punch was such that Mori was sent flying back and into the air.

Standing in Mori's previous position was Ilpyo, fist still raised in the position that he punched Mori in. "impressive. You were able to somewhat block that with your arms and you jumped back to negate the force." Ilpyo congratulated the brown-haired teen.

Mori, for his part, almost couldn't even hear what Ilpyo said as he was shakily attempting to get to his feet. 'Damn, that hurt! Even when I mitigated the force that much, it still felt like I got hit by a truck!' Mori thought to himself as he shakily stood to his feet.

"You know, Mori. You're strong… Definitely the strongest person I've fought thus far. After all, you're the one I have to thank for helping me grow this much." Ilpyo said, holding his now-clawed hands out and casting an analytical gaze over them. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, Ilpyo lightly clenched his hands into fists. Releasing his breath and opening his eyes, he spoke once again. "So, out of respect for your strength; I'm going to hit you with the strongest attack I can possibly use right now." Ilpyo said as he unclenched his fists and brought his right hand up to his heart.

Lighting that hand ablaze, Ilpyo dragged the appendage in front of him, creating a semi-circle of fire in front of him. The fire began to pulse wildly as it grew in volume before shapes of various sizes began to fall out of the blaze. The shapes formed as they fell and all morphed into figures that resembled flaming foxes before they hit the ground. By the time, Ilpyo was done, there were nine growling, flaming foxes surrounding him.

"Mori Jin… Let's fight again some time." Ilpyo said with a smile as he swung his arm down, allowing the foxes to charge towards the now-standing monkey faunus all at once.

Mori, for his part, was sweating profusely. This was only in-part due to the heat that Ilpyo was giving off, but mostly due to the condition of his body as a result of Ilpyo's transformation. Ilpyo's form was bad enough, but the technique he used seemed to make Mori's condition worse as Mori was struggling to stay standing.

"Hundred Demon Night Train!" Ilpyo called out the name of his technique as the foxes converged on Mori.

On Mori's end, when he heard the name of the technique; the nausea he was feeling became too much and his world became a sea of black.

-GoR-

Once he saw the foxes engulf Mori, Ilpyo knew that the match was over. Rather than waiting for the refs to call it, he turned and began to walk off the stage.

Ilpyo only made it a few steps away before an overwhelming pressure suddenly hit him from behind. Instinctively jumping forward while spinning to acknowledge the threat, Ilpyo couldn't believe what he saw.

What he saw was the figure of Mori Jin, standing amidst the sea of flames that engulfed him, raise one hand, and disperse the flames with a clench of his fist. This was surprising enough on its own, but what really caught his attention was the monkey faunus' eyes. Mori Jin's eyes were no longer the black with yellow crosshairs that Ilpyo came to recognize.

They were now a cool blue with black crosshairs that bore into his soul with a cold indifference.

This did not last, however, as soon after dispersing the attack Mori's eyes rolled back into his head and he fell forward, unconscious.

Breathing hard and letting a drop of sweat fall from his face, Ilpyo was still stunned by the sensation he felt. "Looks like things are about to get a lot more interesting." he said to himself breathlessly as the announcers called the match.

"Mori Jin is down! Ilpyo Park is the winner!" Port yelled, causing the audience to erupt into a large bout of cheers at the spectacle they'd just witnessed.

Ilpyo just stood still and allowed himself to calm down after the arduous match he'd just had, taking a breath to calm his nerves.

Ilpyo's rest was seemingly not meant to be, however as the crowd's cheering soon turned into screams of horror as several large explosions went off in the stands. Eyes widening and switching gears to rescue mode, Ilpyo was about to put the rescue part of his hunting training to use when he was again interrupted.

This time, it was by a loud roar that tore through the chaos enveloping the arena, shaking everyone who heard it to their core.

The attack to collapse Beacon had begun.

Chapter 15: End.

Thanks for reaching the end of yet another chapter of The God of Remnant!

I finally reached the much-anticipated Ilpyo fight, so I hope you guys enjoy it. I took most of my inspiration and moves from the Webtoon as opposed to the anime. I also decided to go with the Webtoon's outcome as well because I liked Mori having the motivation of beating Ilpyo in the future.

In case I didn't make it clear enough in the story, Ilpyo still holds the key. The role of which will be explained later, but for now I hope you guys come up with some theories of your own.

Third, Next chapter should be the ending of the first part of the story. I say should because I honestly haven't done any hard planning about the events of next chapter more than who needs to meet and what needs to happen. How those events link up and come to pass is something that I'll figure out before I write it.

Finally, as always, I wanted to thank you all for you support and I'll see you all next time.
