December 22nd of 1999 on a Wednesday, within Uncle's Rare Finds Shop, early or around 8:42AM:
Camelia woke up with a start and raspily pants with a hand to her heavily beating heart while trying to calm herself down, as she once again had a nightmare she didn't want to scream, from seeing Jade was closeby to her in their shared room within Uncle's Home/Shop.
She could barely recall the nightmares with some she had, as she soon felt the comforting waves of gentle heat from Deathwing to aid her in being settled.
Ever since she came back a few days from the isle adventure with both Jade, Viper, and Jackie, she had nightmares she tries to keep to herself as some were brutal, others worrying, and more which perplexed her or even frightened her as one of such dream, saw her facing off against a monster that was fully enclosed in darkness and taint, and not surviving, and with seeing an older Jade crying over her alongside a few hazed figures as well that looked battle-wary.
The child also had nightmares as well within her treatment from the Dursely Family but thought she was rather done with them.
Speaking of family, and even the others, Jade and her were slowly getting the handle of learning things from Faolan, and even the others teaching not only them, but the agents and Captain Black, and those they cherished as friends, about what they knew would be handy for future events to come.
Speaking of Eritia and her little sister, Felina as well was sent to the Sector for not only safety, but as the elder of the two daughters to the Leader of the Free Naga, to her surprise, as an ambassador, and with Camelia accidentally making a blessed mishap with her magic after getting to know the younger sister, of making a biological yet shifting-with-ease mechanical arm from the scrap and damaged room both she, Jade, and Felina snuck into out of sheer curiosity.
Let's say they were told off yet the elder sister being happy after, from the outcome, and seeing her little sister's hands was like a multi-tool for many things, even hacking into the computers, once she was introduced to one alongside her big sister… Let's say once again, she was a natural computer wizz, and may have boosted the security files to not be virus-encoded, by sheer accident, and left it at that.
So yes, Felina was currently an expert within a short time on any PC Device, with Eritia being glad it wasn't something dangerous as such of her former positions.
Faolan and Amelia, to the knowing looks of those aware, had a thing with each other yet they refused to acknowledge it, with the three girls making a plan to further that, alongside both Viper and Jackie, whenever a free chance came.
Mazuria, to mention, left the base with the assistance of both Mike and Amelia to look into something that from what they were informed to where Jade was on that isle itself, piqued her devilish curiosity over, and informed them via Camelia's permission to do so, they would return before or after the day of Christmas.
To mention the upcoming holiday as well, Camelia was very nervous for the few days, from the five out of seven trapped Demon Sorcerers when she last spoke, to maybe giving them hand-made gifts as a present, and kept parts of what she was doing as a secret.
In secret, she was rather surprised at how quick her homemade gifts were done with the help of those gemstones she kept making, as they shifted into particular items or even aided in her mind's eye, paintings, of what she wanted to do.
Back to her nervousness, mention, this was the first true Christmas she had ever partaken in her life, as her former caretakers didn't allow Camelia to partake in any of the holidays and most of the time, was left within her former closet of a room or cupboard in our terms and was forced to cook for them as well a feast for a family of seven, but never let her have anything but scraps.
"You know, Little One, that you no longer have to fear things anymore," Deathwing spoke to Camelia as she was at the moment, wrapping her last present for Jade, and paused once she finished it to think back, to which was recent and unexpected a few days ago. I know, Uncle Drake. I just- I'm just still not used to being… Free.
Deathwing understands what she was thinking to him, as he hid his anger by the reminders of her treatment, and simply advised her to see she gave a nod by wordlessly acknowledging with him, "Indeed…Free to decide on how you are achieving your accomplishments, and for you to have an existence you were disregarded to not have. Freedom is a given and to not be taken lightly, as I should know, as you do not want to serve those that would happen to harm or more, in the end."
Camelia stilled from a slight touch to her shoulder before seeing it was Jackie to make her soon relax, as he stated in a sheepish tone with a head rub, "Sorry. I didn't see that you were so distracted, Camelia."
"It's ok. I should be more aware at times when I do my projects, as I feel one of these days, something unexpected might happen to me." Camelia signed out to him, and he sighed with the understanding of her plight as she does get too focused on her projects or even her drawing or paintings, and reading at times as if she was in her little world, which also amused the others as well and relieving them of her acting like a basic kid during that.
"Well, let's hope that won't come to pass then," Jackie told her gently while ignoring her flinch from a gentle back pat. "Though it seems you managed to wrap everyone's gifts in a record job."
Camelia blinked and just caught sight of the formerly empty spot within her shared space within Sector 13 that was now filled with gifts for everyone, and shrugged wordlessly before signing with a light hue on her face, "I guess I did, didn't I?"
Jackie only chuckled softly before seeing to make him confused, she went over to her bed and pulled out a smaller wrapped gift with the man raising an eyebrow as she urged him to open it, and once he took it and was unwrapping the gift, she signed to him in mixed emotions with some being wary and doubt, "I wanted to give you your gift early, Jackie. Viper gave me money to help me shop for you and well…" Jackie was truly surprised it was a custom-made black rolex watch seeing it was also showing Chinese Kanji around the slightly thick frame and the clock hands being to that of a blue larger dragon for the large, and a red for the small, and the wrist strapping also had birthstones of his family and friends, alongside hers, on it. "I wanted something to truly know I appreciate you and for everyone taking me in. You the most, as Uncle is considered a grandpa to me, but you are also my teacher and well… I wanted to show you how much I wanted to thank you for helping me choose a few styles to mix for me."
Indeed, Jackie did help Camelia out with her styles as he managed to convince Captain Black after telling more about the transformation and also, knowing that if she was this powerful in that beastly side of her, she could be taken and forcibly used as a weapon, or worse.
So he was teaching her alongside Jade the styles he too, was learning about from seeing the book… Even though he has mixed feelings about what is written on the pages it has, alongside teaching her with Jade, the art of Hapkido and what he knows.
Seeing his blank face, Camelia gulped before snapping Jackie out of his thoughts as she began signing away quickly to him, "I'm sorry! I thought you would like it and-" he stopped her by gently grabbing her wrists and made Camelia blink with seeing Jackie gently wipe away her forming tears, and told her softly then with a smile, "It is unexpected, but it's a great gift from you."
Seeing he relieved the child, he was rather surprised she hugged him, and soon saw Jade enter with a raised eyebrow and from him, a wordless look for later, as later on, the trio was back at Uncle's Shop, with helping the old man with it, and Jade being bored, was watching the shop with her being at the sales desk.
"Tch, why can't Uncle have more interesting things to sell?" Jade asked herself with her leaning onto the glass counter of the desk, and sighed once again, as she knew her great-uncle tends to sell actual antiques in his shop, but she has suggested a few times selling things like soda or candy bars, even older to newer movies yet he flat outlined refused due to saying it would ruin the value of his shop.
She perked up from hearing the door jingle from the little bell connected to it, and sighed but soon perked up from seeing it was the UPS Guy, Flint Bentspool, as such.
"I have another large and single package for you guys," he said with a Brooklyn Accent as he was a young man around twenty or so wearing the uniform, and he was decent looking with hazel eyes and natural auburn and ebony hair mixed in.
"Just sit it here," Jade told him in a way, he raised an eyebrow as he was the local UPS Driver from New York, originally, before moving here to San Francisco for a few weeks and befriending the Chan Family and making sure his deliveries were on time and was married as well.
"You're bored again, right?" Flint asked her curiously as he sat the somewhat heavy package down, as she glanced at him and nodded, as he, like Camelia, believed her as he didn't freak out when he delivered one time of encountering some Shadowkhan that failed at getting an artifact from Jackie four days ago for the local museum, and kept to his word, didn't tell anyone except his also secretive wife.
"Ya. Uncle wants to run the shop for a few days before he closes it up for the holiday coming up." Jade tells him as he nodded making her sigh at this news he heard, as he was also a person who overheard things with neighborly knowledge, "Most of the places are closing during that time too, from everyone picking up their saved purchases and stuff at the last minute."
Jade then decided to ask as he was getting ready to leave, "So how's Martha doing?" Jade was also looking over the package and was rather perplexed as well, as there was no return address at all on the large box.
"She's doing good. I expect the little one to be born around May or so, as it was rather surprising for the both of us." Flint tells her as it was considered a miracle of sorts as she was told she couldn't have kids, and there was a low chance.
"Well, tell her I said hi, will ya?" Jade asked him as Flint gave her a two-finger salute and left to finish his route just as both Camelia and Jackie came into the shop area and saw the box.
"Flint came, didn't he?" Jackie questioned Jade upon seeing the box, oddly enough, was addressed to Camelia as she took it into the living quarters with a growing expectant face, and Jade shrugged with her telling her uncle, "Ya. I did see the box had no address on it though, and if it was a bomb or something, we be gone already."
Jackie did sweatdrop to Jade's words as she blinked with him stating to her then, getting a quick hug before she took off to see what Camelia got, "I'll take over the last few hours while you go be with Camelia. I already know you might be bored."
Once Jade was in the room, she saw to her growing grin, more movies that Camelia probably asked her cousin to get her and knowing the packages can't be sent to the base, to Uncle's Shop instead and with seeing a few books, and more, sprawled out on the large table provided.
"Hi, Jade. I didn't expect my packaged order early and was thinking it be around after New Year." Camelia signed to her with admitting things as Jade was rather perplexed as she picked up one DVD that stated, Little Shop of Horrors, as it oddly came with what looked like a fake avocado seed of sorts that was emerald green, and had two large black lines around the center part of it, and the tip being a yellowish color.
She noticed as she nabbed the seed to amuse Jade, and made the Chan Girl blink twice by what she saw Camelia signed out to her with a tint, "I managed to find a coupon ad of sorts when I purchased with my cousin's money of getting that movie for free, along with a supposed seed that's supposed to grow something similar to the plant alien of sorts…" seeing Jade's skeptical stare at her, made Camelia rub the back of her head before signing to her then, "I knew it is far fetched, but it sounded believable as I did get most of the things from New York, and a decent price as well."
"Hey, if you think so, it might be true but sometimes things could be lies," Jade stated as Camelia nodded knowing what her friend meant, and saw the other movies to raise an eyebrow as they were interesting titles, especially since she gave another look at some she knew wasn't out yet, as some were anime movies, and some interesting games with a game console that was labeled as a Switch Lite in an emerald color, and the games up to twenty-four it came with.
"The person I got this from, stated he was given them by a strange man. Not sure what that man's name was though, but since I found out I'm a Magical by Faolan-Sensei and Amelia revealing it to me, I wanted to try and see if I can find things related to that… Safe things at least." Camelia tells her to get Jade to understand as it was only yesterday they found out and told her, and by what she guessed, she was expecting a normal timed delivery for her purchases.
Both Camelia and her friends and non-blood kin learned that she was born into a magical society of sorts from England, despite her knowing it from her Uncle Shendu as she thought he was kidding with her at the time, but the information was kept at bay with only stating it, a particular one which Shendu would know more of by Valmont's research, and her also finding out from them only recently that she has a larger trust vault with money she can't access until she was eleven, and even more when she's old enough to be considered an adult, after knowing about it already but not official.
From a bank called Gringotts, which was weird to the two girl's heads at the title, but were not told as to whom her birth magical parents were.
Though Camelia, Viper, and Jade were suspicious at times of both Captain Black and Uncle from seeing them, they weren't shocked by this and knew more than they let on.
Jade blinked from seeing some instructions that told them that the two consoles were adjusted to handle DS to Switch Games of any variations and unlimited memory and enchanted for having endless power without damage, and the booklet was to keep maintenance and more for the two consoles, which to make Jade hug her friend, gave her the orange one with a dragon theme that had Shenron on it.
Seeing they had nothing to do, they picked a game to start playing with Camelia picking a game called Pokémon Sword, and Jade choosing Pokémon Shield and got lucky with them both getting a female starter.
The Potter Child having a water starter and Jade's was the fire starter by the names of Zoe and Mimi, and they played the game for thirty or so minutes with seeing they had event presents already placed (after unlocking it of course), and seeing gift-wrapped Pokémon somehow in said PC Boxes within the game itself, and after, they placed them into their shared room for now and with them soon watching the Little Shop of Horrors Movie.
Let's say they enjoyed it, with Camelia glancing at the so-called fake seed at times, and leaving it at that while also sitting close to each other, as the box came with a portable device that was labeled as 'The BluDVD Player', and soon once the movie was over as they got to chose both endings, stretched with Jade trying to not tint from staring at her friend as Camelia secretly did so as well to her when the Chan Girl wasn't looking.
"So, we should be heading back to Sector 13 soon… Want to see if Jackie's done?" Jade suggested to which Camelia gave a single wordless nod for 'Yes', and they soon both blinked after setting things up to make sure they had their night bags and the box ready with the things to take back, by observing Jackie signing papers with also noticing a large and standing wooden crate of sorts placed in the part of the shop, and the shippers left.
Jackie took notice of the two girl's curious gazes at the item as he stated with a shrug, "Another delivery of sorts… Though I don't think that Uncle was having anything sent to him."
It was at this point Uncle did come to the shop and raised a brief curious eyebrow before shaking his head and two-fingered slapped Jackie as the man rubbed his head as Uncle berated him then, "Unknown Packages are not known to the eye of the beholder! Send it back"
"But Uncle! The delivery people already left after I signed it." Jackie told him before he got another two-finger slap to his head to amuse the two girls.
"Don't talk back to Uncle!" Uncle exclaimed as he soon snatched the papers and stilled by the sender to which only Camelia noticed, and they saw him hold the bridge of his nose before telling Jackie to surprise him, alongside Jade, "Find something. Open the crate."
Later, Jackie managed to find a spare crowbar and managed to pry the crate open, and they were perplexed as to what was inside.
Inside it was not only an unusual book but also a suit of armor.
The armor, to mention, is mostly colored in shades of silver, black, grey, and blue. Notable additions of it include a silver breastplate resembling an upside-down crescent moon and a dark-visored helmet. The helmet bears two prongs on either side, with the silver ones wrapping around the sides and angling diagonally downwards. There is a cape that is a dusty-rose color.
"Pretty." Was all Camelia signed out as the first one to respond, and the other three agreed with her on that before Jade saw a note and grabbed it with blinking twice, and confused Camelia as she stated in bafflement, "It's for you."
Camelia read the note and was looking stumped before she handed it to the wiser of the three Chan's and once he read it, he sighed to make Jackie sigh, from seeing the armor was at least attached to a sturdy stand and was baffled by where Uncle wanted it.
After some small aid with the two girls, they got it up into the spare room the two shared with Camelia and signed out that she wanted it in the corner by the window.
Jackie shrugged his shoulders as Uncle noticed the unusual console yet said nothing as Jackie questioned him, seeing the two girls were getting around as they planned to come back to the Shop to stay for the holiday, and were going to the small party that was going to be set within Section 13, "Why would someone send Camelia strange armor?"
"The world works in mysterious ways, and if the note was not important, then I say otherwise." Uncle cryptically told Jackie in answer to make the man sigh, and oddly felt like the armor was watching their every move, but brushed it off with Camelia placing the book into her bag to try and read it later, which housed the two other new books, alongside her chosen games and her game console, as the four soon heard a honk outside.
Uncle decided to stay at the shop to finish up things as the van took Jade, Jackie, and Camelia with them being impressed by using a small shrinking charm Faolan taught her and Jade, to place the box and the contents, alongside her wrapped gifts also, into her bag to this point.
As they were driving, the van jolted from Jackie glimpsing there was a car accident with the officers redirecting the traffic.
"Seems we are heading the longer route to Section 13 today," Jackie informed the two girls to make Jade groan at this, as it would take twenty or so more minutes to get to the area, and Camelia didn't mind that at all, but stiffened from shivering in place as the van turned into the opposite direction and continued down the alternative route.
Jade noticed when Camelia signed out to the duo Chan Clan Members then, "I have the willies…" and before either of them could say anything, as they were nearing the curved section of some rundown constructed buildings, they held on fast as the van began swerving wildly.
"What's going on?!" Jackie stated loudly to the driver before being wary and shocked by rocky spikes emerging from the ground and trying to stop them, "I can't shake these spikes!" The agent told Jackie.
"Jackie!" Jade shouts to her uncle before the back doors flapped open with the van bouncing a few times to see something was chasing them this entire time, underground with asphalt and dirt easily spewing as it moved, and with the agent soon going to a sharp turn onto a dirt road to make the two children find it irony it was that one tower again they were heading to, before driving out to the country after a few minutes of constant pursuit from whatever was chasing them.
"This thing's relentless!" Jade quickly states that without warning, the van was finally capsized with Jade and Camelia hanging onto each other as they flew out, and the van kept rolling until it hit a rock.
"Jackie!" Jade stated in instant panic and worry with Camelia freezing after she adjusted her bag, she felt hot breath on her neck and slowly turned before tugging Jade, and soon, they began to run from the creature chasing them.
It was a gigantic black-skinned snake-like monster that had a pair of huge horns around both sides of its head, a back covered in scales, and an enormous mouth filled with long crooked teeth. Also, it has six eyes, though it looks blind and can find its way around just by hearing and using its tongue. They can even project a bright bluish-white light from inside of their mouths and are quite vulnerable atop directly to the forehead, and it seems to have been combined with a Graboid as it had spikes as well for eased movements underground, and also hints of a mutated anaconda as well. There were also hints of something demonic placed onto hits back in etched runes, and a thick and unbreakable-like color as well.
Jackie slowly got out of the van and shook his head before saying the words, bad day, repeatedly, as he began to chase the two girls and try to save them.
With the two girls, Camelia grabbed Jade quickly and the duo began trying to still flee from whatever this creature was, seeing it roar before diving head-first into the soil and began trying to stop them from summoning spikes and even moving the ground ahead of them, and would have worked if it wasn't for Camelia letting Jade be on her shoulders as she managed to hop and more with ease, and Jade holding onto her friend's bag alongside her own.
After a time, the duo came to a sudden halt with Jade getting down and handing her friend her bag after seeing they were both trapped in a canyon wall and a cliff for what they both gulped at.
The two girls then swerved around and got into a fighting stance, as the beast came up and roared at the duo.
Jade is in a stance that Jackie instilled in her, and Camelia is a mix of a square stance with her left hand in an open palm before the two began dodging the creature's swift assault against them, mainly at Camelia.
To mention briefly, Camelia has been wanting to try stances that she saw in some anime shows besides the book, like Jade, and didn't have time to try and this, to her, was a perfect chance.
The two separated as Jade shouted Camelia's true name and realized that the beast was after mainly her, and seeing her friend get sent into a few stray rocks and knowing she was somewhat durable alongside her bag, something within her unexplainable soon showed as Jackie came over and also witnessed it… Jade snapped, as something within her was soon flowing within her veins and burst forth after from unseen on the back of her neck, a seal of sorts disintegrating into nothing.
From what it was, from what she has been through alongside knowing about Camelia from secretly, without knowing, reading her file from the doctors at Section 13, and also in flashes of memories of Camelia's ways to prevent her from getting harmed alongside her feelings of protectiveness, caused the hidden seal that was placed when she was four, to evaporate away.
Jade began emitting a tealish-green aura around her frame with her irises glowing before her eyes glowed to match her eye color, and without expecting it and Jackie's jaw dropped as Camelia bleary saw it as well from seeing the beast was about to eat her alive, Jade smashed right onto the right side of the Sand Snake-Worm Beast, and made it roar out in surprise as it was knocked out of the soil, and into a few stray trees with it being fully exposed.
Jade shook her head as she glanced at her friend with soft eyes as she croaked out her name in mixed shock and amazement at what she saw, "Jade…" and it was then she glanced at herself and was in the mix of being flabbergasted and in awe as truthfully, she felt like she was having a sugar rush mixed with a few other things, but not like an energy drink as whatever was exhibiting from her very being, felt powerful and in an odd sense, able to handle her movements better and more.
Jade sharply turned as the beast got up, and grew guarded as Jackie came over and helped Camelia up with witnessing the beast roared skywards very loudly in a way, they didn't like, and short moments after they saw it call two more of its kind from the earth with one having a grey leather spiked collar, and another a fancier version as the beastly trio roared inequality at the trio then.
Jade then smirked sorts with her shrugging her shoulders as she told Jackie in confidence as he was wary about what was wrong with his niece, "Uncle Jackie, you take Amy somewhere safe as these things are after her… I got this." Jade then charged head-on in a cocky way with Jackie for once agreeing with his niece before grabbing and leading Camelia away.
While Jade began to fight and use her unknown and raw power to face these three beasts head-on, rookily, Jackie was soon carrying Camelia with the girl glancing behind him and widening her eyes as it seems the trio, were a set of four as another with a ruby collar, was soon chasing them.
Jackie began to easily leap over a few rocks and fallen logs quickly understanding by seeing Camelia's face, that the hunt wasn't over.
Eventually, the two came to another dead end from them seeing they were cornered from a large cliffside, and Jackie placed Camelia down with him placing the too-scared girl behind him and guessed her fear outmaneuvered her will to fight and was perplexed by her giving him an unknown talisman.
It was the Phoenix Talisman.
Before he could question her, the beast charged and was going to devour them until Jackie went with the flow and aimed the talisman at the beast… Only for him to be stunned as it let out a deadly electrical plasma blast to make the beast quickly turn around yet was sent ten or so miles away due to how determined Jackie placed the item within his hand.
Determined to protect them both that is.
"Camelia…" Jackie states in a way, she hid back a flinch as she knew that tone was mainly meant for her friend, but before she could sign, she stilled from looking behind Jackie to which he noticed and turned sharply around with her truly hiding in desperation at recognizing the entity from her nightmares soon show up, with the entity clapping slowly in a half-impressed way.
Jade though, at her spot, was soon captured by the group that this entity came with and knocked her out by a swift chop to her neck.
"I do have to hand it to my nightmarishly made creations, of sorts… Was hoping to cause havoc and discord within the city itself. But alas, it seems I may have to think about other things to try and use to create more fear in the hearts of the mortals." The entity stated before revealing itself from dispersing the darkness around it and revealed it was a man with demonic glowing amber eyes and with him being bald and had deep-red skin and devilish ruins on his cheeks, alongside having a very sharp set of teeth. He wore darkened demonic medieval armor, however, which represented a dark-looking drake of sorts.
He noticed the child with a sharp smirk, and made Jackie narrow his eyes by seeing all four beasts soon come out of the ground and stood behind their master, "It seems she recalls all the tortured dreams I was told to send for sometime… Marvelous."
"Make… Him… Go." Camelia rasped out at Jackie and only got a dark chuckle from the male before them.
"I suggest you leave." Jackie firmly stated as he was also gently reassuring the girl with an arm from even feeling the vibrations of fear from her, and the man only chuckled at his words before making them stiff and Jackie growing weary of the unexpected growl from the child at his confessed words and without any feelings of it being wrong, "I fear, and no pun intended, have already and my comrades to my General… May have captured that child who is not what she's seemed."
"What do you want with us?" Jackie demanded before seeing the man did a waving sign of sorts and the four beasts roared as a vortex made from chaotic darkness and fel-fire revealed itself as they all went into it before that was replaced by armed demonic foot soldiers in obsidian armor that soon surrounded them, "That is for my General to reveal, as we have that child behind you to thank of freeing several groups to this world once again."
Camelia's fear was replaced with growing rage and her mind being hazed from even Deathwing allowing her to have justice, from sensing that her Other was in pain, and charged right at the man… For only to get head-chopped to the back of her neck to make her pass out as he easily picked her up, and tossed her without care to a random soldier as Jackie glared at the man.
Meanwhile back at the base, a few hours later, Uncle just arrived with him being confused as to why the agents were running amok before bumping into Faolan and Augustus Black before stilling the old man, and as Captain Black questioned him firmly, "When was the last time you heard of Camelia, Jade, and Jackie?"
After things, both Uncle and Faolan reluctantly worked together with making a location spell, as Captain Black thought it was still ridiculous to use magic to declare the tracking device on Camelia… Only to find out it was attached to a wild raccoon in a local park.
"Mortal science can only do so much, Chi Wizard. Yes, I admit it has its uses… But I am sure you agree that magic would be more beneficial in this crisis, from informing you of hidden issues that even the Leader of this base has." Faolan admits while tossing some shredded snake skin and fermented larvae in the cauldron as Uncle did nods in half-agreement to the demon, "True. Camelia's actions back then may have made the world exposed to forces unfortunate to come and go as they please. Uncle left it back due to guessing it was not important… But I was wrong."
Once the final ingredient was in, they gazed into the cauldron seeing the place was somewhere in some warmer climate, as there was lush jungle and seems to be in modified ruins with some type of a cult was placed.
"Ah-Ya! They are in Brazil?!" Uncle exclaimed with Faolan being the only one to recognize the banner of the cult, and got up before perplexing Uncle as he questioned him firmly, "Where are you going?"
"To contact an old alliance of mine…" Faolan began before he turned to the old man with a sharp grin on his face as he didn't hesitate to go into a glowing blue vortex to who knows where "Care to join me?"
With Jackie, he was in a confined room with Jade as she was still knocked out, and some bruising on her arms and face slightly that was healing over in a prison cot closeby, as in front of the man were thick steel bars with two guards, and no windows as the walls were made of stone of sorts for the archeological aspect of his mind to recognize that they were in ruins within Brazil.
The cult he overheard was one of several in existence, as this one dealt with the likes of demons, yes, but more foal and dangerous things to know that they plan to use them as bait to rouse Camelia, from the few words of passing cultists of her being a key to free one of their sealed Masters, within this building.
The cults themselves with their own unique goals or others in mind, as this wasn't the same one as before that dealt with even more dangerous things than this tame one has.
Thirteen cults, thirteen different religions and more, from what Jackie figured they are well hidden, as this cult alongside a few others, kept track of them somehow by the confession of the same man: Dr. Lazz, and knew things were currently bleak for them as they were deep underground by the cool of the slightly damp air.
Oddly enough, the cult let them keep their bags with Jackie Chan for once being impressed by the bags being turned into temporary bracelets on Jade's unharmed right arm, by a brief glow he recalled seeing as Jade's Energy, around them.
Jackie gently glanced up at his cot to the ceiling and began thinking about things before he quickly turned to Jade as she was finally coming to, and headed over to her, telling her softly, "It's ok. Take it easy Jade."
Jade held her head as last she recalled, she was feeling overwhelmed by her power she managed to free, and blanked out a few minutes fighting those creatures, and grabbed the side of her neck and eventually feeling pain slightly all over her body in portions as her uncle aided her to sit up.
"Jackie… What happened? Last I remember was facing those snake things and trying to defend you and-" she stilled before she felt a dreadful feeling in the pit of her stomach as she asked worriedly to him, from seeing a specific person not here, "Where's Amy?!"
"They still have her… Once we manage to try and get out of here, Uncle and I need to have a talk." Jackie informed her before perplexing Jade, and the duo turned just as the guards opened their cell, and roughly escorted them both out with them seeing the place was invested with not only the unknown cult but with creatures of science and supernatural as well within cages.
Eventually, they were led to a large and massive antechamber of sorts that looked to be more than it seems, and around the size of a football stadium, despite being deep underground. The walls were adorned with mixed religious views of statues and etched imagery of supposed gods or others, and on a stone platform struggling to try and get out from being chained up a lot, was a weakened Camelia. Of course, there were signs of age and lost time hints of this place being used long, long ago yet was also forgotten.
Jackie did hold Jade back from seeing that Camelia had fresh dagger marks, and inflamed ankles and wrists of sorts alongside dried tear stains on her face.
"It seems you are unfortunate to cross into the affairs of the cousin and alliance of the Shadoku Cult, the Demonis Cult, Mortals." A deep enriched voice states to still the two and Camelia as she was gazing behind them, not of hope, but fear as they turned to see to shock them, as to where the Potter Child was closer to see, at seeing an unusual man-like creature.
Dark ivory curled horns thrust from his skull, which also possess glowing mixed amber and green heterochromia eyes and sharp canines jutting out of his mouths. He was equipped with large bat wings, powerful goatlike legs that bend backward and end in cloven hooves, and his fingers adorned with long, bladelike claws. He has gray skin like that of a corpse, and possesses black sideburns to his tamed hair similar to Sephiroth from FF7 as well as matching shaggy fur on his legs and forearms, and despite his race, had a delicate male face around the age of twenty.
He wore, however, armor that was tarnished and battle-worn, and mainly obsidian with hints of bronze and silver in some places, and the armor exposed his arms and legs at least with it representing something closer to the Lien Dynasty. On his right hip was a sheathed sword of sorts knowing it wasn't from the earth at all, despite it being lithe and slender in design, gave off a giant glow to know it was more than it seemed as well.
Seeing their looks, he spoke to them while Jackie was still guarded, despite what he said, in a way of partial apology, "I do forgive what my subordinates have caused you and the two mortal children… It was never my intention to come to this aspect of desperation and importance to accomplish future outcomes and goals in years, and hasten it."
"What do you mean? You harmed Amy!" Jade declared after taking a moment to get what this creature meant, to which he gazed at her with hidden eyes of interest that shine for only a moment before telling them in a way, he didn't know this but also didn't care, "Truthfully? This is part of the outcome of what is needed. Even though I am part of the Nathrezim that went to the better side of the coin, I, Thakom, have only begun to see your world as… Potentials and benefits of more than what you mortals can fathom. After all… I am The General to my Lord Callisto's forces for the cult."
This stilled the two as a familier red-skinned man came from the entrance with a few guards Thakom grunted out to him then, "My Lord… Everything is set."
"Excellent… Soon, our Master will be brought to this world from being defeated in the original. As after all, this child on the rare few items known as the Altar of Summoning is the main key component to do so." The man or otherwise, Lord Callisto or Dr. Lazz Callisto, declared with the guards soon separating and grabbing both Jade and Jackie in firm restraint, as he headed over to Camelia from sensing her fear was growing by his approach.
"You are not going to get away with this!" Jade exclaimed before Jackie could only make Lord Callisto chuckle before turning to Jade and ignoring her unexpected growl from purposely caressing Camelia's face with him grabbing something from his cloak, and saw it was a syringe, "Oh? But I have as you see, all the cults have known about the child once her power showed into the very sky itself, as they are still harvesting the leftover energy of that land in secret and the other places she exhibits it as well in the past, to use for their schemes, as a temporary truce. My and the other allied Cult has officially joined forces to become the Shadowed Ones, with recently joining forces with another otherworldly group who has similar goals for the future of this world itself."
Camelia gave them a pleading look before she let out a raspy scream as he jabbed the needle where her heart was, and Jade struggling in her hold with the Potter Girl soon passed out before to amuse Lord Callisto, saw Deathwing took over with him quickly snarling out and also struggling in the chains that were enchanted based on his host's biology, "If I wasn't contained in my sealed location within her, you would be deceased!"
"To one's thinking then," the red-skinned man states before he sent the concoction into Camelia's body with Deathwing being shoved back along with Jade also looking weakened from her trying yet failing at grabbing her heart as Jackie winced as well like most did, of the croaked screams Camelia soon let out as her body spasmed in place.
"What did you do to her?!" Jackie exclaimed after him getting punched in the gut by a guard for speaking out of term and saw Lord Callisto sharply remove the syringe as the spot healed up in moments, and Jade's body soon felt that energy build up again before she too, was slapped by a guard to the face, as he came over to him, firstly, and responded with a smirk, "Mainly a solution to bring out by force the child's power as a power source for us to accomplish our goals. It is rather simplistic to knowledge for those that dabble into the forgotten arts kept secret from the world itself, but not to those as to my General's knowledge."
Thakom only grunted in answering his Lord, as they all witnessed that the energy Camelia's was randomly coming off her body, immensely and thick to know something was amiss, especially with them seeing it immediately spread all around the ceiling and went into the statues themselves.
"Bad day…" Jackie quietly says as both he and Jade saw with their very eyes the eyes of each statue glowing from the continuing energy from Camelia, before the very eyes exhibited their energy to mix with it, and headed to an ancient-looking symbol that looked like a mix of the sun and moon combined, as it sent down a rainbowish beam of mixed raw energy, constantly, into a sealed spot before they were perplexed as it shattered and went further down, and soon saw the entire room light up in the energy.
"It is working, My Lord," Thakom informed him firmly with Jade being worried at how pale Camelia was getting the longer her energy was exposed out in the open, to which he only got a wordless nod with them soon feeling the vast temple was soon overcharged with energy, and they saw revealing tubes not known or even man-made to reveal themselves from the pillars as it siphoned the raw powers into a large portion of the wall as it shook and soon, at last, revealed a massive portal that began swirling in moments into an ethereal-looking vortex.
"At last… He shall come to this world. He will be weakened for a time, but soon, the true plan will come into fruition that was lost ten thousand years ago! He and others thought long lost to this world, as they are formally trapped, and not anymore!" Lord Callisto exclaimed in wicked glee as the area shook and trembled with the vortex as they witnessed unnatural energy bursting forth repeatedly and quickly escaping from the ancient temple, and constantly doing so with them seeing a dark purple and enriched cloaked individual soon come forth calmly, as, under the hood, both Jade and Jackie shivered in place by the piercing and demonic glowing yellow and red infused eyes with orange slit pupils, under the hood.
As unseen forces kept coming out from their trapped prison, both Thakom and Lord Callisto bowed to which they didn't see the male entity glanced at the child in use, and to both Chan Clan Members with an unseen raised eyebrow, and gazed at them as Lord Callisto stated in respect, "Welcome to the world once more, my Worshipped Master."
The entity didn't say anything, but only gave a nod with the male person glancing back at the portal and aiming with his right hand as all at once, they didn't expect this.
Firstly, most of what can be brought out were done so in moments as a massive spectral mass of energy that, as miles out, Uncle, Faolan, and a few others soon headed in the direction.
Secondly, the massive burst of darkened energy the individual used destroyed the ancient portal after, and the energy soon went back into the child alongside the place dimming once more.
Lastly, the male person produced a chaotic ball of raw energy before sending it into the ground, and those within the area soon were topside and at the entrance to the old temple itself.
"Master? Why have you destroyed the portal? We could have used it-" Lord Callisto began before he was soon lifted into the air with the male entity having his left hand out as if to choke him, and saw the red-skinned man was indeed being choked before being brought over to him, and making the guards wary alongside Thakom, as he spoke in an ancient dialect to him, and made him widen his eyes in utter shock before he screamed as he began glowing very brightly and something coming out of his mouth that the entity soon consumed within moments, and tossed the dead body away.
Of course, it didn't help that Lord Callisto's body turned into dirt and dust to blend into the area, however.
The male entity turned to the guards and stated in another language which they understood clearly and nodded sharply as they dropped both Jackie and Jade, and ran into the temple with Thakom sneering at the duo before joining them.
The altar that came disintegrated along with the chains, and saw the entity calmly walk into the temple entrance without much thought as with a too-bright purplish flash, a massive hole was left in its wake as to where the large and hidden temple once was placed.
Though Jackie did quickly grab Camelia as a massive head tried to consume her with Jade and Jackie running to see a twice-as-big version of those snake beasts, but with four glowing amber eyes, that burst forth and roared at them in a threatening way.
The duo with Camelia still passed out, was running for their lives until they bumped right into both Uncle and Faolan and kept running to perplex them before Uncle let out a panicked 'Ah-Ya', and with the Demon Sorcerer soon carrying him, Jackie, and Jade on his person with also making sure Camelia was secure, as he took off into the air with the beast roaring behind them in rage… Until it was under attack by two individuals.
Jade did have a gut-wrenching feeling they haven't seen the last of those guys, as Faolan flew to the meeting point for the recovery of the trio and with agents making things covertly placed.
I know that it was a short chapter this time, but it is within reason as I do plan to add the holidays of both Christmas and New Year before the "Main Event Chapters". So the upcoming chapters will conclude for Season 1 of the show itself, and with interesting details and things during it.
So merely wait and see what is about to occur during them, as like the first Season, 13 Chapters, hopefully.
