Christmas Day or December 25th of 1999 on a Saturday, around noon, within Uncle's Shop:
It was a few hours or so ago that Camelia and the others opened their gifts and with Ophis still being silent while holding her wrapped gift from her only hatchling still, the child, Jade, and the two younger adults to her eyes, were made to what she was told by her hatchling, brunch as Uncle was amused on the secret at how she was reacting.
Ophis turned to the old man as the wrapping paper was oddly enough, snake-themed in green cobra's and with mainly a purple background and silver ribbons, and was a small box as well by his admitted words as she went back and stared at her gift, "Little Flower awoke earlier this morning while all but I slept. She asked me to aid her in her present, as she finished it just for you… Even though she felt the need to make another in a specific way."
Ophis hesitated but she opened it and once she saw the item, she was rather surprised by other things while keeping her features calm, at seeing it was a homemade talisman.
The talisman was in an unusual coincidence, was her very sigil yet it was in an emerald green color, and the sides of the talisman had gently curved runes on each sided-based section, and it was also etched and infused in some light metal around all the edges and sides.
"Little Flower managed to finish it, but she envisioned the sigil itself. There is no essence within it though to think of Uncle making a theory of it being able to store your power in case you need extra aid." Uncle then tells Ophis as she understood it more than he did, and asked him calmly, "How is she able to make these?"
"From an old book deemed safe." Was all he told her to make her nod in understanding, as she was still marveled at the craftwork and more that went into her hatchling's first-ever gift to her, and soon after they ate breakfast and took care of their messes, the group of five headed out with Uncle making sure the closed sign was showing.
They were soon met with not only Seras but also Amelia as well, since Mike was assisting from Camelia's confused permission, to assist both Faolan and Mazuria with a task of sorts that was in Madagascar, from what Mike told her before the now six members of the small group, left from the shop.
She was also told by Jackie that her two friends went back to the Free Naga until after March 2nd of next year, due to their mother wanting to spend some time and also learn more about human society, from a phone call from her cousin.
Camelia was also fiddling with a formerly blank bracelet on her other wrist as one of the few empty spots had Ophis' official sigil on it, and leaving the rest blank. To which, fellow readers, was one of her gifts from the Ouroboros Dragon herself, as the others were back at the shop.
They were in separate vans to a location that was told to Jade and her, was a surprise and would take breaks now and then as it would take a few hours to get there, from the trusted driver's known smooth shortcuts, much to Ophis' ire at that.
Camelia was with her draconian mother and Seras, while Jade was with her family and Viper in the other.
"Did they inform you as to where we are heading?" Ophis calmly questioned Seras as the vampire merely shook her head with the duo seeing Camelia was at least trying to stay calm by reading one of the books she brought, which the female vampire told her softly so Camelia wouldn't overhear, "As far as I know, it is something to a fancier airport, as the true place isn't in California."
True enough, they were on an expensive plane that was paid for by Captain Black, and each person got their seat within the large compartment of the plane itself.
The destination was still not told by them, but it was hinted that they were permitted to venture out to spot it.
Camelia decided to take a small nap while seeing her friends and even her new mother was busy, and as she slept… She woke up within herself and was rather perplexed to see that she was not within her sanctuary at all, but on a stained glass platform that was at least a mile wide all around.
She was rather surprised at it as it contained her, and those that she has met for quite some time within their circles, especially since she felt she could enter them somehow as the rest of the area were blank circles.
Hers was in the center as it showed as she was currently, and a strange orb with an unusual kanji to her left, and her right was Deathwing's head at least. Below her feet were eight circles with each one showing the heads of the Demon Sorcerers she had met with the last few, blank yet one held the kanji for "Mountain" and the other was "Earth". There was also another one but that was above her head.
She also saw most of the center was based on her yet most of it was blank, while the outer rims held each person she has met, like their faces, for stained glass, which she knew were in their circles as she coincidentally landed on Jade's before currently being at within the center.
Besides that, as the glass had a dim yet seeable glow, the vast area was nothing but endless darkness.
She stilled before turning to see a cloaked person somehow was there and told her then in a way, she was saddened by something with seeing her hold the one piece that Tchang Zu gave her, "It seems like you are further than you realized. Your own heart is still holding your light after everything you endured and persisted against… And I am rather surprised to be here at all." The person sounded like a girl, and someone familiar to Camelia as she was given back the handle which turned into sparkly dust and went into the stained glass platform itself.
Then the child saw to her wonder, her left arm each holding the zodiac talismans as smaller circling sigils, and near her hands were formerly blank circles that each held a Chinese Kanji to two different blade names, from recognizing the circular design to not only the handle given on her right but her bracelet on her left.
When she looked up, she was rather perplexed by glowing, phantasm-like sigils going in a slow-paced full circle around the edge of the platform, and each sigil was close to or slightly bigger than her as one, she recognized as her new mother's, and each one had its style and color as well.
"You will possibly look into each sigil as you grow, but they are based on your parents." The female told Camelia to get her to sharply look at her, not knowing that, and was rather surprised as to who the person was as she lowered her hood and her cloak as it evaporated when she tossed it.
She is around twelve and of average height and has long black hair, pink star earrings, and light brown or closer to amber eyes. She also wore a grey, zippered shirt under a black vest, and a studded brown belt around her black skirt. She has a red belt wrapped around her arm, and two around her ankles. She wears black boots and knee-high stockings (despite having a Mid-C-Cup-sized chest), and her outfit somewhat shows her curves while also looking like she was still growing into them.
"We met before and you convinced me… Or rather, you saved me and a few others within your soul before you sacrificed yourself, and in a coincidence, you have the same name as back then." The girl told her to perplex Camelia to which the girl shook her head gently as she came over and made the Potter Girl blink a few times by lightly flicking her nose and gently telling her then with what Camelia saw were eyes reflecting things, or recalling a few memories, "I am surprised you managed to come here earlier than expected."
As if sensing what her growing questions were, she stopped before she could sign out and was mixed with anger and sadness as to what she and several others within her had to endure and watch, which she was mixed as well from Deathwing's protection, "Firstly, I'm known as Skuld, Stephanie "Skuld" Mayagold that is. Secondly, this place…" here she waved around the area and made Camelia wanting to look into it further, "Is your Inner Heart, which is part of your mind, body, heart, and soul as one… Most people don't know that. Thirdly, you may not recall things until you hit eleven a few days after your birthday, but to let you know we, and the others, were your friends and kin."
Seeing she was getting ready to sign something, she blinked at Skuld telling her then, "Within your Inner Heart or even your sanctuary, you can talk normally."
Camelia was relieved at that as she did have a lot of questions, but somehow sensed she had little time and asked to amuse the girl before her as she took a few steps back and paced for a few moments before turning to Skuld, "Am I reincarnated?"
"Yes, a few times in truth, Amy." Skuld told her to blink at her for using her nickname, and the girl told her softly knowing she recognized it, "I know that Jade has been calling you that, but it was also a nickname that we shared with you as well, as I figured maybe you still don't like your name mentioned unless the adults that got to know you, called you it."
That was true as she allowed her cousin and Jackie to at least call her by her true name, and regrettably, her teacher and the staff at times within the Middle School, and didn't mind any other nickname either.
"The last life you had was with me and the others that agreed to your plan to save us from something you saw was horrible, and still Sarah had a slither of herself being sent to be reborn," Skuld tells her to make Camelia have a gut-like feeling of the name as if she was rather important, and yet… Camelia grabbed her head to which she blinked at Skuld gently grabbing her with a sad grin on her face, "You're not ready to try and recall things as back then, you told us it would cause major harm to you if it did… Both good and bad memories of all your lives, all at once, would leave you in a coma for a year or two."
Camelia paled at that, before seeing Skuld's hands gently glowing a light-green color on her head to make her blink at her with mixed feelings at no longer feeling a headache, and she only told her then, "Since you awoke me somehow from my slumber within you, I can help you at times on some skills you used to know that you passed onto us in case, but when you truly recall… It would be easier to remember them."
"Did I teach you how to use your hands like that?" Camelia decided to ask the once again humored Skuld as she nodded, "You did. You also were…" she looked to be hesitant to confuse the Potter Child and resumed to only confuse her more, "Well, you also were friends with a girl that went missing, and you two were dating after a year of knowing each other, and eventually found things out that nearly harmed yourself to which we had to stun and get through to you as that allowed you to be taken over as a vessel, temporarily."
Camelia started before being worried then about Skuld's words and saw she was fading to make the girl understand and told her as she woke up on the plane, "I will be able to visit your sanctuary and here at any time you want to talk without harming your head, Spitfire. Just enjoy your holidays and we can chat once you're asleep."
Once she woke up, Camelia did blush at seeing she was being carried like a babe in her mother's adult look, as to what she wanted to call it, in her seat before they all got around and seemed to be surprised, they were in New York City itself.
Jackie finally admitted to them that Captain Black, while busy, wanted them to have a decent time within the big apple for new year's, and would come back after January 3rd next year.
They were booked in the most iconic hotel that both girls knew from watching both Home Alone movies that they watched a few days before the 20th of December, The Plaza Hotel, and it was fully paid for as well and had gained blackmail material from when the actors worked as staff at the hotel from the movie, too.
In another coincidence, they were staying in the same suite, Suite 411, where the movie took place as well near the end of the second movie, and it was just like it but there was a large tv, and more things closer to the time as well recently added.
One of the goals was to head to the American Museum of Natural History, and see what it has with also being granted access to the back rooms of the building to see what might be added or other.
After that, Chinatown Family Fun Center and Chinatown itself, and introducing Camelia and both Seras and Ophis to Chinese culture, food, and other things.
So yes, to say Camelia was excited about what they planned to do while they were here in New York City and other places within New York itself, but she also had the oddest feeling that while they stayed, things will take an interesting turn of events by plenty.
Luckily, Camelia was hiding her true self's appearance and agreed to only do so when they were back in the hotel room, as from how large the population was among residents or visitors to the state, knew there would be problems.
After placing their things in the shared rooms and claiming beds, the small group of Camelia, Jade, Ophis, Seras, Uncle, Jackie, and Viper, were an hour later after eating some late lunch, were at the museum.
"As agreed, we are going to let you VIPs to the back and see what we plan to eventually add to either the current or new exhibits," their female guide by the name of Nancy, began, with the girls being awed by all the things not seen as the back rooms were huge with seeing some scientists and workers helping them, was messing or looking into further artifacts, "We managed to recover and be gifted things from archeological digs or finds at times, or even our searchers too. As you can see, we have some new setups for maybe a year in planning for some Egyptian, Japanese and Peruvian Lore for a shared exhibit we plan to introduce to New York at some point… Some we even got for a cheap bargain from collectors who were looking to get rid of their extra wears, and some without much of a choice due to unforeseen debt."
Here, Nancy turned around with her being petite with a decent face and blonde hair, and steel-grey eyes, and wearing the uniform, "Now you may ask questions or even see what we are doing, but please refrain from touching things as from knowing the famous fellow donator from California, Mr. Chan here," here Jackie waved sheepishly at that, "Are rather priceless as we recently got a white stone statue from a collector of Ahura Mazda, after being hounded with some sanctioned audits of sorts, from a man by the name of Raymond Beaumont."
Here, Nancy left then to go speak with her supervisor as it was Jade and Camelia looking over near the parts which the museum has yet to look at yet, as Ophis was with Seras after spotting something to get her awareness where the two children were, and Jackie was with Viper at discussing things with the scientists as they planned to at least be here within the next thirty or so minutes before heading out.
Uncle was merely observing and was with Jackie as well.
The duo managed to find the one statue that the female guide was talking about, and Jade gave a thumb at it with Camelia holding the urge to not tint in the embarrassment of being discovered staring at the statue and admiring its design, "This Raymond Beaumont guy seems to have good tastes, but it's not something to stare like you're going to eat it, Amy."
"Yes, this guy did have good tastes as from lessons with Jackie about his job… It looks to be at least believable to what that guide said." Camelia decided to sign in addition and with Jade simply believing her as most of his lessons on his job, managed to stay or go through her head, unless it was hands-on.
Camelia soon looked wary of what Jade suggested, after a few moments of thought, and didn't detect anything wrong yet knew she needed to be careful. "Why not pick it up to see how much this sucker weighs? I know you could do it, Amy."
Camelia debated but decided to risk it from caving in by Jade's eyes being doe-like for a few moments and didn't hear Deathwing tell her in partial amusement of being 'Whipped', as she looked and then easily hefted the statue from places to grab, and took a few steps back to steady her grip.
Camelia was furrowing her eyebrows cutely at trying to guess what it was on weight before they both jumped, and froze in their tracks from hearing a loud bang of sorts within the back area of the museum, as the statue easily fell and broke into several large chunks and pieces.
"This is bad, bad, bad!" Jade began to panic as she paced with her hitting her head a few times at being dumb and not seeing Camelia blink in being bewildered as she went over silently and grabbed a gemstone from where it was, formerly, within the statue's center.
It was a red fire opal gemstone that easily fitted within her palm, and thought she detected an unusual glint briefly showing within the gem itself before she hastily pocketed it as Jade turned to her, in worry, "If we don't fix this thing, Jackie might throw a fit!" Not known to Camelia as her hand healed within moments, the gemstone took at least an instant single bag's worth of blood from her while, at the same time, healing the wound it did.
Camelia wondered around the room before spotting something as she recalled some of Faolan's lessons of "Equal Exchange", one of them being based on Potions and Alchemy, and saw similar stone bricks to the statue, and with Jade seeing what she was eyeballing, grinned as a few moments later in a hurry as they heard the others starting to call them.
Once it was ready, Camelia clapped her talon-based hands in haste with knowing what she wanted and with her looking at herself and placed them quickly on the ground as the green and silvery glow was thankfully not being able to notice, as the statue with the "Borrowed material", reformed in moments as she got up, quickly picked it up, and placed it on the stand and backing away just in time as they came to their area.
"There you girls are! It's time we get going as we still have sights to see." Jackie tells them in relief with the three older girls and Uncle raising an eyebrow at the two girls' wide smiles of hesitancy as they leave the museum.
After some time with Camelia, oddly enough, using the gemstone she still had on her person as a worry stone of sorts, they saw a lot of things and even tried some New York Style Pizza from the same place in the turtle movies as they planned to continue their staying tour.
After a few hours or so, they managed to enter the 492 acres of China Town with Jade merely rolling her eyes and Uncle and Jackie being amused, and Seras and Ophis being mixed while they walked through the large district within New York City of Camelia's awe by what she was witnessing around them.
Soon they came to Joe's Shanghai to eat from their menus, once again, to see the relation appetites of both Ophis and Camelia at eating some or nearly all the food with most being seafood-based and a variety of sushi, and with Seras gapping by the amount alongside the waitress serving them, and leaving a hefty 150.00 tip after an hour staying in the restaurant.
They eventually went to the Chinatown Fair Family Fun Center and many other places before they eventually had to head back to the hotel, a few more hours later to the point, night had fallen.
Once everyone was asleep, with Seras being posted within the hotel due to her not needing sleep, Camelia was the only one awake and had her enlarged personal blanket, around her frame as she was in the living area, alone.
Despite enjoying herself today, she was still having trouble going to sleep from not only the nightmares still occurring as of late, which Deathwing and even Shendu cannot prevent this time to how there were limits they could try but would be risky, but of her still knowing of her current mother, Ophis, was still alive.
It's weird at times knowing I have a living mother now, but I hope we can get past the awkward phases between us. Camelia thought to Deathwing to which she heard him hum to her, and then responded to make her blink in her large seat in wordless response to that, and if Jade or the others were there, would have thought it be cute from her looking up and gently biting her lip, "I know what it is like to be raised with a mother, as my and my other brethren before we became aspects, had one of the few dragons who cared for us and allowed us to be raised with each other and not separately." Sensing her emotions of being truly surprised he had a parent, he chuckled within her mind gently before speaking then in small growing amusement, "Not all individuals, Youngling, are simply brought into existence as even I had a mother and a father."
What was your mother like? Camelia curiously thought as she was drinking from her recently bought green with a black barber-stripped thermos that was using warm sweet peach tea, due to feeling cold ever since they got back, and couldn't explain it and was rather surprised her mother used a bit of her power to enchant it to store anything and everything liquid to drink, that is, for her.
"She was a kind and gentle drake amongst my former growing-up pack. She would indeed scold us if we do wrong, but see the error of our ways after… Here she felt like he was reminiscing about his past and feeling her worried concern, he told her gently in returning to his tale of his female host, "She was known by Dragon Tongue, as She Who Cares and Burns… But she was known to me and my kin, to when names were important and powerful, as Melidrosa: Packmother, Caregiver, and the One Who breathes Silver Flames… And yet, we had to leave when she and several others, faced an entity sent by the one we faced ourselves and ended his life, and eventually became aspected dragons by the aid of the Titans of my former realm."
Camelia was about to ask him questions before she raspily yawned to make her shake her head as the child knew she needed to rest, especially since she had been up for a while to see the nearby light-up clock say around 2:16AM, and Deathwing ignored her pouting as he worded to her then with feeling some minor warmth spread throughout her body, and huddled more into her blanket, "I will tell you what my and my brethren pack's positions were at another date, as you need to truly sleep."
Amused by Camelia's stubbornness, she was going to pout back some words to him and with him glad she was still coming out of her shell from the aid of the mortals, before she stiffened and turned to see Ophis was next to her as she calmly told her with concerned eyes showing to her calm face, "Cannot sleep?"
Camelia shook her head once as a wordless 'Yes' to the Nothing Drake, as she shrugged and ignored Camelia's look as her mother used a single percent of her abilities to bring forth a chair, as it scooted in a way from the one chair from the movie, the Sorcerer and the Stone, and sat into it with her holding her hands alongside crossing her left leg with her right.
"I have felt fear, once," Ophis admitted to her Hatchling to make Camelia look none other in wordless shock at that with Deathwing, despite being wary of the female entity, was rather stunned as well as Ophis continued her words, "And it led to half of my powers that I slowly regained within a few mortal years… Full… Stolen from me by former servants of my former group. With it, your aunt formed… And more things that in secret, caused nightmares to form during my weakened partial state."
Ophis then sighed giving her child a look knowing what she was probably experiencing, and strangely Camelia felt like she could somewhat relate to her mother yet she told her then to slightly ease her worries a bit, "I will stay near you and make sure you try and get some decent sleep… Know that I won't always be here for you, but I will try and also make you happy… My Youngling."
Camelia did yawn with feeling very sleepy before a few moments, struggling to stay awake yet she was soon purring as she slept, to amuse and impress by her own child's stubbornness and pride to not do so.
Ophis then took this chance to carefully and quietly get up and walk to her child, and gently place a finger to where her forehead was as she soon muttered a hard-to-hear spell, and easily bypassed the child's protectiveness barrier to prevent her memories from being seen… And was calming herself, or trying to, as she finally took her time and saw all her life up to this point, and at the same time, holding back her amusement of the dragon sealed within her being scared of her very being.
After she removed her finger, she stilled before seeing it was Aeroza once more, who had his arms crossed with a pointed look as he softly told her with understanding eyes, "I did tell you of what you might expect to fill your curious mind, Lady of Nothing… Well, as you go by now from sticking as a female, from our meeting thanks to your child's servant."
"I will make them-" she was stopped from her anger showing for once within her voice by him, and made her look away by his soft yet firmly-spoken words, "To their deaths or harm? That will be no different to you becoming them, into your child's eyes. She sees them as monsters as to what they placed her through, and most of her nightmares are her blocked memories being freed… Both of her current and past lives, that is."
Now this made Ophis sharply look to him in acquisition firmly with her showing her half-emotional face at this news, "She is reincarnated?" She was blanched for once by him simply holding up five fingers, "This is her sixth reincarnation out of five past lives." Aeroza then began to think for a few moments before responding to her on the same topic and making her understand as she glanced at her child, "Some of her previous life's abilities and powers will come to her, about once she trains in them. She will end up trying to improve most of them, however, to suit her needs as she grows and comes to age. In truth, each of her reincarnations will meet with her, and as by my sworn oath, I can or she can choose to allow them to exist besides her as kin, or allow them to pass on into the Great Beyond."
Seeing his expectant face, she held the bridge of her nose and muttered to herself and turned to him, "There is more?"
"Yes, she also has others placed within her from forces unseen by you, as Deathwing was part of the deal you and the others made for her to continue existence, but they too, will be free but as their person… Unless they truly desired to be part of her kin, part of her blood, and part of her life as a brother or sister."
Here, Aeroza paused before admitting to still Ophis as she felt that Jade herself, was familiar, "Jadis or Jade, is also reincarnated. But as to how many, I am not fully sure, but know that in this life she is bound by the soul to your daughter… Which I have foreseen being a boon and benefit to them both, and the others."
"It is rare to have not just one Soulmate." Ophis reluctantly agreed after just learning this, and made Aeroza sagely nod to her in agreement, "That it is, Lady of Nothing… But as time grows, so shall you with your feelings, as time goes on, a few comrades back then you will soon see before the year is over, and even more years after."
"Who?!" Ophis demanded to which she sighed as he shook his head, and gently tapped his temples a few times before telling her with a smirk on his features, "That would be telling, and ruining your expectant outcomes alongside the child… Even at some point, she will travel to another world to which one of her girls is waiting and fully alive, yet not, from past deeds of interference with The Darkness. The world is rather unique, in a way, but only you and Jade may cross over to this world to retrieve not only her but other lost ones, this world… If they choose, that is."
Ophis was silent before she responded and ignored the man as he summoned another frozen drink beverage for himself, "The others must know she is alive."
"That I can agree with, My Lady of Nothing." Aeroza nods as he took a few sips before pausing, and then offered the entity one to which she did get one from a firm nod, and told her then as he took a few more sips after, "I will soon start seeking them out when I am finished doing some tasks on this realm… And no, you cannot know." He then told her after seeing her raised eyebrow.
He then gave a respectful bow to know he was about to leave but paused as he brought out a book and she took it to be half-curious and wary over, from reading the title, and sharply looked to him then, "She will be tested earlier then I thought from a vision earlier this day. The book is a key to her knowledge as to what to expect of this, and to her Inner Beast… Until then," he then left with a silent popping sound and a fading rainbow mist after she placed the book to her side of the chair, and did as she was told for her child.
A few days later, on December 29th of 1999 on a Wednesday, within Central Park's very center:
Camelia was currently with Jade and Seras, as Uncle went with both Jackie and Viper over something at some place, and her mother, Ophis, left to bring someone to her after being curious over something to which, the Nothing Drake herself was vague about.
Camelia suggested to her friend and guardian protector to go see the place as the last few days, they haven't got a chance and to also see some places which she knew were in parts of New York's history and some movies as well.
The girl herself was sitting on a bench nearby, seeing Jade trying to convince Seras to show her fighting moves for her as she was reading one of the few books she got for Christmas by Stephen King: Carrie, and she was already in a few chapters in and truly felt sorry for the girl, and could somewhat relate to her.
Camelia's taste in fantasy, horror, adventure and science fiction (or sci-fi) books was more advanced than Jade's reading level, much to Jackie's ire at this yet knew if her influence on Jade's curiosity was in question, she might quickly catch up in no time in a year or even beforehand.
She placed a marker on her book for the next chapter as she got up while placing it into her bag, grabbed it, and headed over to Jade being wordlessly amused as Seras didn't take it easy as she easily flipped Jade over onto her back.
"Don't even sign it," Jade states in embarrassment as Seras only shook her head while watching Camelia helping her friend up and Jade brushed her clothes off with her hands before turning to the Potter Girl's silent yet supporting face.
It was ruined though as it was the most awkward moment as Camelia's stomach decided to gurgle a few times to get Seras to comment to the child then, with Jade strangely agreeing with the vampire as lately, her friend was worrying her as to how much she was eating as of late, especially seafood-based dishes, "It seems like only an hour ago you ate."
"I can't help it." Was all Camelia signed out to them in honesty as to her worry, she was baffled by how much she was eating too as not known to her, both Ophis and Deathwing knew better and withheld the knowledge from her and the others.
Jade simply shook her head as the trio was about to leave the park before everyone was rather confused by the unexpected eclipse that happened and strangely, lasted longer than it should have as the trio was heading to the hotel to see Camelia and some purchased sushi she was eating on the go.
While Camelia was eating her food Seras managed to purchase with borrowed money from Jackie, she felt like something unexpected was going to occur within New York the longer they stayed, especially as the unusual eclipse was still active within the sky itself.
Once they got to the Plaza District within the city itself, everyone was rather confused by the main screen going static for a few moments before it soon became a broadcast with a cloaked individual hacking into not only that, but other communication appliances throughout the city itself, and with using a voice filter to sound just like Jigsaw from the Saw movies. "Hello. I would like to apologize for the events about to take place. For you see… The unnatural eclipse is my doing, as I want to test everyone's resolve and what I plan to do to test that. I have yet to be fully healed but my test is this: Survive, and then I will be impressed as I, The Ancient Shadow, will someday return to cover the world in eternal and corrupt darkness and doing so, offer it to my master who sent me long ago to this world to claim it and claim ownership as your new Dark Lord."
Without warning, the ground began to shake and tremble as car alarms began blaring and panic soon began to gradually grow from the citizens of New York as the person revealed a twisted and black-metallic demonic gauntlet with demon runes on each knuckle, somehow was able to snap their fingers on the screen as the shadows began to twist all around them and after, vortexes began appearing all around New York, randomly.
Seras used her arm to destroy one of the same creatures that both Jade and Camelia went wide-eyed at from the one time from within the Potter Child's Inner Sanctuary, as the person canceled the feed by stating in parting words and with glowing amber demonic-looking eyes at the end within the darkness of the feedback's room that was showing to unnerve Camelia as she thought they looked familiar, by their words, "Let's see if she is prepared, as well unto you."
People were fleeing in fear and confusion as Seras, Jade and Camelia fled while defending themselves from the creatures as it seems that they were simply causing chaos and discord, then harm, unlike what both Camelia and Deathwing recalled from the several assaults on her sanctuary.
By defending, the two children went by Jackie's example by using objects they can find to send them back, and Seras used her arm and powers as a vampiress.
But for some reason, the ones that were chasing them were trying to mainly go after the Potter Child, and even trying to nab her by her tail.
The trio managed to soon lose the pursuing creatures by entering a condemned old theater, which if they noticed on the demolition date board, would be after New Year.
The two girls panted as they were near the front of the stage itself with Jade raising a finger with her still kneeling with Camelia wondering the same thing as Seras stood to watch over them and the area, "Whatever… Those things are… Are a pain in the butt!"
Camelia wordlessly agreed with a raspy gasp as she went into her bag and gave Jade a flavored water bottle as hers was vanilla and cherry, while Jade's was peach tea, and drank from the bottles for a few moments with soon sitting on some of the surviving theater chairs as most were torn, trashed, or removed, and sitting next to each other.
Seras did leave the area to temporarily check outside and see if she could spot Jackie and the other two, as the two girls were quietly talking with each other for the next few minutes score they stilled at feeling unexpected breathing behind them as Jade asked Camelia with a slight gulp beforehand, "There is something behind us, isn't there?"
They glanced before dodge-rolling away from being smashed by the shadowy creature's clawed hands as it snarled before gazing at Jade, firstly, before snarling more at Camelia.
It was at least twelve feet tall and looked like a shadowy-looking and feral Toonish-based werewolf with glowing wild amber eyes. He wore a lumberjack's outfit yet it was mainly dark-blue and grey shirts in color, and with dark-grey denim ripped jeans and cartoonish leather boots with the sharp toes showing, a spiked dog collar around his neck, and a few golden piercings on his left ear. His claws were metallic-looking and seemed sharp, and there were a few scars on his arms and a cross-like scar on his open right eye.
The wolf unexpectedly howled as to startle them after it finished, a purplish and miasma-like barrier showed up on all the walls, windows, and doors of the entire theater as with her hearing, Camelia knew Seras was immediately trying to get inside yet was somehow prevented from doing so.
Both Jade and Camelia blinked within the Potter Child, Deathwing facepalmed as they somehow saw the name of the creature and an unexpected health bar just like the games: Crazy Wolf, as he began to attack.
Jade, out of sheer adrenaline, grabbed anything she could find to toss and try and distract the toon werewolf, yet Crazy Wolf was mainly focused on Camelia as she was managing to bob and weave the hasty and unthinking large fist strikes that truly caused damage.
Camelia soon hiccuped unexpectedly as to make the creature and Jade blink, at seeing the Toonish Werewolf immediately get pelted from a random vortex appearing beside her, thousands of tennis balls hitting everywhere on Crazy Wolf's body and both girls even winced as the last hit, hit an important part of it, and heard him chuckle before shaking his head, and roared at them both as they fled and with the vortex closing as they did so.
They were soon avoiding the enlarged fists and bites for a few minutes by Crazy Wolf and seeing he had 75% health from the odd bar under his name, were glad for Jackie's training as the Toon Werewolf took a deep breath and began spitting out flaming yellow fireballs in rapid motion to try and burn them then.
The place was starting to catch on fire, however, as they managed to end back to where they started in the condemned theater.
Camelia and Jade were nervous at seeing the entity soon howl in being enraged as his fur took on a slightly reddish hue, and looked more wild and feral as Crazy Wolf even grew a few more inches and more menacing, and didn't like the smirk he had on his muzzle within moments before taking a deep and hasty breath, and the two girls were soon hanging on for dear life as he kept sending wave after wave of an empowered howl to try and separate them.
Camelia's eyes did widen in growing horror as they saw behind them from within a large enough vortex soon materializing, from seeing thousands upon thousands of those creatures merely waiting for them to enter it.
Seeing Jade's fear with enemies at both the front and back, she winced while gripping harder to the seat without seeing her claws puncture it with ease as she failed to grab her head with feeling something more than Deathwing, was trying to do something to her as within her, Deathwing was confined to the maelstrom from seeing the floating Beastial Entity in the contained orb was sending mistified fumes to communicate or worse.
Camelia's eyes widened as she heard a more seductive, sensual, and darker voice soon speak within her head with seeing the loud chattering of the creatures behind them, and the wolf having gleaming eyes of victory as she didn't see Jade wince from quickly grabbing firmly her left arm with her right clawed hand, by the offer it stated to her. "Allow me to take over, and I will end this farce."
Crazy Wolf then took another hasty deep breath and almost lost her grip with Jade, and with her seeing tears flowing from her friend's eyes showing honest to god's fear as the creatures moved aside to see a plant-like monster take their place with some of them being chewed and opens the maw to see dozens of rows of sharp purplish-stained teeth and remains of some victims of both human and creature, showed.
"Let me take over! She is not my enemy! Not our enemy!" The voice said to which she feels like whatever this female voice was, she would regret letting it out yet she almost lost her grip and with seeing a thorny tongue at the plant monster sneaking its way to them, made her choice.
Camelia startled Jade as she raspily screamed and making her friend grow worried and fearful with the tongue recoiling as her aura covered her frame before it faded, and her eyes were glowing green once again as Camelia snarled in a guttural growl before opening her mouth, and made the Toon Werewolf yelp in fright at sending a plasma beam to stop not only the vortex, but the vortex closed up behind them as they landed on the seats.
Jade called out to Camelia at realizing she became feral as her friend was chasing the Toon Werewolf around the building, and made Jade facepalm to herself with a small groan as she got up with a wince to her leg being scratched, and went after her to only blink at seeing Crazy Wolf, well, crazily laugh as it went into a vortex of sorts with Camelia going after it, and without much choice, Jade jumped into it as it closed up behind her.
Unknown Location:
Jade fell onto her behind and shook her head as she got up, and was rather perplexed by seeing that she was in an alley and knew for certain, this was not California at all as the air was a bit colder than normal and yet at the same time, perfectly warm.
She got up and was walking to the exit and saw, to make her blink, at seeing things and even made her pinch her arm a few times: She was in a bizarre town with actual cartoons that's both in color and black and white, doing as actual cartoons do, and causing havoc or more to occur while going about their lives.
The buildings, however, were mixed being regular to bizarre-like to have mouths, and many other things only a nightmarish artist could make, and the atmosphere was as mentioned but felt a bit hectic and gloomy.
Jade did rub her eyes at seeing actual sketches and doodles moving about as well, randomly, as if they too were alive like the cartoons.
She was worried as to where that Possessed Cartoon Werewolf went, and where her friend Camelia was.
Jade then began to wander aimlessly and not risking talking to the living cartoons, and Jade figured maybe the vortex was like a magic spell and transported them into another dimension or something.
After some time, she saw a familiar beam of energy with seeing beside the right of her stilled spot, a goofy-based shouting Crazy Wolf who no longer had the health bar or name, was soon out of sight within moments as the beam dispersed.
Camelia's posture was partially lowered as she swayed creepily back and forth to make Jade nervous, and saw she may have already drawn in a large crowd of random toons as well and was perplexed by some of the whispers as she cautiously approached the word of 'Noids', and stopped as soon as Camelia sharply looked at her ferally.
Jade ignored the crowd as she truly didn't like seeing her friend this way, especially noticing her friend's clawed tips held minor purplish blood to guess she also harmed those creatures somehow, and by her mouth, even ate some.
It also looked like to Jade that Camelia was also clutching a book from the use of her tail, to make her guess the whispers were mainly about that then her friend's appearance, as it was a black leather book with golden sigils on the front and back she didn't recognize yet but did glimpse of the side title being English as "Book of Toon Realms".
Jade saw the snarling look lessened as she approached her friend with her saying soothing words to calm Camelia down, and managed to be so close she froze as the Potter Girl grabbed her possessively and heard her let out purrs of content then with actually hearing her voice after so long, mixed with another one somehow by declaring right then and there to make her be perplexed at, "Ours… No one else. She is ours!"
Jade let out a yell of surprising moments of brief pain as within seconds, Camelia's canines elongated and swiftly grabbed her and truly was biting down on the right side of her neck, and was also licking and sucking the fresh wound she caused while some of her blood went into Camelia's mouth, and swallowed it.
Jade managed to shove her off after a few attempts to hear a confused growl emit from Camelia as the Chan Girl touched her neck to expect blood, but was rather astonished by not seeing it on her hand yet grabbed her friend as the Potter Girl rolled up her eyes, and fainted and the energy fading back into her.
"Seems like we have two unusual Noids here." Stated a male voice to make Jade turn sharply to see a cartoonish male that was next to another one that was more humanized yet not.
The first was an anthropomorphic black toon spider that had yellow sclera with basic-green eyes, a red nose, three lines of hair under the red top hat of sorts with a gray ring near the bottom, white toon gloves with his first-left hand having a small tear to show his finger, and red slipper-based shoes.
This is Nails the Spider, and partner to the toonish human next to him.
He slightly resembles a younger Brad Pitt but as a colored toon male, and wore mainly a beige suit with a white undershirt, red tie, toon gloves on his hands, and white suede shoes with black lining.
This is Frank Harris, the main man of law in this world yet to be introduced, and a detective to boot.
"Seems like we got another Noid Case, Boss." Nails tells him as they observe Jade and the other weird-looking girl, and looks offended at that to impress Frank then, from her defiance yet was rather inwardly sighing by her words too as to their arrival, "I'm not whatever he called us! I'm a human! I just chased Amy from this possessed toon she was chasing to some portal he summoned."
"Sounds like one of the few missing people, Boss." Nails tells Frank as he was thinking, but makes his partner and Jade blink by his firm words then, "They're coming with us."
"What?! / You sure Boss?!" Both the toon spider and Jade exclaimed at the same time as he only nodded and eyeing Camelia for a few moments, "Yes and since that kid's passed out, my wife will probably help her out."
Sooner than later while riding in the back of Frank's car, things were tense as Jade made sure her friend was comfy and winced at times from her bite wound Camelia gave her as not known to her, it was healing up but changed into the same rune of sorts to which appeared in secret, on Camelia's formerly non-marked arm at the top.
They then came to a vastly larger and perfect-looking apartment complex to which Nails helped Frank at carrying the knocked-out Camelia up the steps and ignored the whispers of the other tenants as they came out of the elevator to make Jade see they were on the third floor and were soon at room number 336, and Nails knocked since he was carrying the Potter Child's feet and used a free hand to do so.
Jade blinked while looking between the woman and her friend a few times of somewhat odd resemblance but kept it to herself as she quickly ushered the four (three to being awake) inside.
She is around 5'7 and appeared as a breathtakingly gorgeous woman with an equally voluptuous figure. She also has black hair in a ponytail, and red lipstick, and wears a red dress with a pink stripe on it. She also has breathtaking and familier emerald eyes, and a delicate looking and dreamy face as well.
This is Lonette Harris, and when she was younger, around three or four years old, and yet as time passed, she didn't recall who her family was yet known, she eventually recalled yet knew she couldn't return as she was sent to the past, somehow.
"Were they attacked?" Lonette whispered in concern to her husband as she asked Nails to get a cool washcloth for the unusual girl's forehead seeing the other was worried about the girl too, and Frank shrugged yet admitted to his wife to make her sigh, "As far as I can tell, they came after being attacked by a corrupt toon to Cool World."
Nails arrived and placed the washcloth on Camelia's head to which the unconscious child looked relaxed over then as Frank told his wife gently as she glanced between him and Jade, "I think the awake girl might like a drink or something. Can you get us some lemonade?"
Once she left and came back, Frank questioned Jade to which she felt she could be honest with them, and told them how they ended up being sent to this world by the chase, and after, didn't expect Lonette to drop her glasses of lemonade to which Nails thankfully caught, by Camelia's name fully mentioned by Jade.
"Did you say… Camelia Potter?" She asked Jade firmly to concern her husband and his partner as he had never seen his wife act like this, as she gently yet firmly held Jade's shoulders to look at her in the eyes.
Jade nodded and with Lonette asking then to still Jade, and make Frank widen his eyes and Nails at quickly connecting the dots from his wife's tales of her memories she confessed to him, "Her birth father wouldn't have to be James Potter?"
Seeing Jade nod truthfully again at her as Camelia managed to tell them she dived deeper to learn her parent's names, within her mind, during her sleeping in the motel, Lonette leaned back into her part of the love seat once she wearily sat in it.
To mention it was modern mixed with parts of the past furniture in their large apartment to house a family of three to four, in their tastes, as the three with her still by her unexpected confession, "I can't believe I'm in the same room as my niece."
"She's your niece? But you're a cartoon?" Jade questions firmly to Lonette to which she sighed with seeing Camelia was still looking feverish yet calmer from Jade's presence, began to tell not only the Chan Girl but both Frank and Nails what she recalled fully only a few days ago.
It turned out that her parents refused to send her away over James, alongside their few younger sisters as she was the younger twin sibling to him back then, but some black-gothic looking cloaked figures with bone-white masks made sure they blocked her from their minds with easily taking her, and several others from families in most of the world, and sending them through a horrid looking version that was more advanced than the Veil of Death back within the England's Version of their ministry, and she ended up meeting another cloaked individual who told her that she will recall things as time went, turn her into a full toon, and sent her to her home she has lived for most of her life: Cool World.
After that, she was raised in the orphanage for most of her life before moving out early at fifteen and began living with herself in her previous place while working as a waitress at one of the few bars where she at twenty-two, met Frank, and she has stopped aging at that point as toons could age up to sixty if they so desired or rarely, eight, but she chose to due so early from having a tumor removed that was caused by splattering, in a few weeks prior.
From that, she could at least start aging to when she wanted to, to at least in her early thirties, with Frank joining that idea to when they have kids at least, and they have been trying.
Anyways, back to the current matter at hand.
Jade then told them most of what they had been through for another thirty or so minutes to get both Frank and Lonette to glance at each other a few times to understand that things have changed after years of not going back to the real world, as the Professor himself was last heard of being in Japan.
"So she is still my niece, but also her egg-based mother is at the place you guys vanished from, and Camelia chased an unusual toon werewolf and then sent it away by a beam from her mouth, with her not being fully human?" Lonette questioned Jade to make sure as Jade just nodded with her wondering why she was asking that, before making her husband chuckle and Jade nearly faltering by her words next, "That explains her appearance then, and other things that answered my other questions."
"Did this toon have a name, from what you told us of the unusual name above his head?" Frank now firmly questions Jade to which she began to think after drinking her second cup of lemonade, and sighed with pinching the bridge of his nose with Nails doing the same, "It said his name was Crazy Wolf…" seeing their looks she narrowed her eyes, and crossed her arms with a pointed look, "You know who that guy is?"
"He is one of the few toons that went missing a few weeks ago," Nails began with seeing Frank wordlessly gave him the authority to let this information out, "Him and at least thirty or so other toons that escaped from Cool Jail."
"So… How do Amy and I get back?" Jade asked them to which they didn't know the answer too, as they were not insane or even considered mad or crazy to enter their dimension, but knew that somehow that it was odd circumstances of their arrival.
It was as if some family toon's prayers were answered if this was an unknown sign by Fate or other entities themselves, to which they did sneeze within their domain. Especially when there were these odd or unusual shadowy-like entities that were involved.
"Well, if you two were the basic Noids that come here, you would either be insane, desperate, or even something closer to a place for a new chance to be yourself." Nails admits aloud to make Jade blink and guess that 'Noids' from their speeches were what they called humans mainly, and asked as Camelia did make the two adult toons blink at hearing her gently purr in her sleep, "Other humans came here before?"
"Yes, some are painful, and some useful." Frank admitted recalling one that became a toon from an artifact made originally within Cool World, and the duo of toon adults blinked at seeing Jade easily nabbing the book from her friend's tail and saw hers was gently twitching at times as Nails looked flabbergasted at finally recognizing it, "Where did she get that?!"
"From that toon werewolf… Why?" Jade questions the toon spider to which Frank looked at his partner as most of the time, he was the one that looked into things, as he shook his head as he fully drank his two glasses of lemonade down before responding to her, "That book is more than it seems as it has a cousin out there somewhere! It's just like that book is more than normal! I even bet it's disguised right now."
They blinked as it was true as Jade winced when she saw the book cut and had some of her blood absorbed within the pages, to which it did so to Camelia already as it unexpectedly made them turn away before staring at the book in slight shock.
It was changed into something unnatural-looking.
The book, to mention it, was about the size of a medium book that was thick and had light tarnished pages as if it was way older yet magically preserved, at the same time (which it was). The cover, regardless, was made out of thick black leather with no words or anything at all, but in the center was a gem-like, pure blue diamond demonic eye with a reptilian slit. The book also had attached to its sides bronzed bindings in a zigzag layout with small or hard-to-detect mixed sigils of many nations, all rolled up into one, and part of the bindings encircled the gem itself in a cross diagram for the front and a spiral of sorts at the back.
The book shook within her hold before floating up with ease, and the gemstone became an eye as it became similar to a calmer eye specified on Lord of the Ring's one large eye, Sauron, from his black tower (but without the flames), and spoke like to the very voice actress, Tara Strong, but mixed with a slight British Accent, "Finally! I'm active after nearly a few hundred years with worthy people."
Seeing them simply staring at it and knowing the other girl it bonded to, was also while in her state of bodily distress, scoffed and stated to them with a glinting eye of amusement, "What? Never seen a Grimoire like me before?"
They shook their heads to make the book amused as it or should I say, she said to them then while eyeing the two children in secretive interest from knowing within her pages, more was added by what she gained from their memories, and also getting a glossary update from her awakened sibling as well, "Well, get used to it, as I'm one of three triplet books made by our formerly Mistresses… May the gods rest her blessed soul, to be with those deemed worthy to my eye. I already sensed one of my fellow two grimoire sisters, The Book of Balance, Chaos, and Spells: Debbie… May have bonded already, as we were sent to separate verses, to which we all are."
Intrigued by what the female book meant, as she wasn't done since she did blink once before, as she seems to have forgotten about something and introduced herself, "Where're my manners? I am what I mentioned my sister, Debbie, is by title. I am Clara."
"Clara?" Jade raised an eyebrow before holding a gulp when the book got up right in her face and declared firmly with an unnatural shadowy/light-based mixed aura around the book's entirety, "You got a problem with that, shorty?"
"No problem, but don't call me that." Jade flatly told her to impress the book, before floating over to Camelia, and telling them with a quick scan of her from her lone eyeball, "She's fine for now, but it seems her Beast possessed her fully for some time, and her body isn't used to it at all… Though it seems she gave her consent to do whatever was intended and is communicating with it."
Lonette gave Jade a look for later at that, with also seeing Jade blink to the book as she then lazily floated around her again with Frank firmly asking the book, "So how do you know all this?"
The book blinked at the toon detective, and replied nonchalantly at his attitude to her, and with the book landed on top of Jade's lap to relax with secured freedom, "I am one of three grimoire books made by my Creator and her allies from another realm… In a drunken or drug-induced-based idea, and then sent through time and space from others to catalog and more, due to whomever we are eventually bonded to, and assist them when they need it… But like my sisterly books, we can also host lost souls as well within our pages to gemstones found from worlds or realms lost, as in truth, the realms of reality are endless."
"Your maker… Made you while drunk or drugged up?" Jade states in disbelief as that's all she could think of while placing whatever the book said for later, as she gazed downward at the living book to see the grimoire herself eye-rolled and if she could, would have given a pointed look at the child holding her as she responded plainly in a way it was obvious, "Let's say they were celebrating one of their comrades own birthday and overdid it. I and my other two sisterly grimoires are not fond of how we were made, as it was their one rare few successful attempts while intoxicated."
The book then let out a cough to soon bring hope to Jade by her words then but also made them all wary as well by what she admitted to them all, "There is a way for you to return to your home, Jadis Chan," they ignored Jade correcting her alongside inwardly freaking out at the book truly knowing her real name, "But it will have to be direct contact with my one of few Creators, as I sense they are in this dimensional realm of toons. That and also dealing with a plot set against this world as well."
"A plot? Boss?" Nails stated before questioning Frank to which he sighed, and got up with Nails following right behind him, "Right. Lon, Honey. You stay here with the girls while I and Nails can ask about what is truly going on." He kissed her gently on the lips before heading out with his partner.
Once gone, the book had a hidden glint as back in the shared room within Section 13, all the gems vanished as they entered the grimoire's pages by Carla's doing, as she soon caught the attention of Jade with her glancing at Camelia and back as the book floated as she spoke, "Those two could handle themselves, but if they would simply ask I could have enchanted a way to get to one of my Creators."
"Really?" Jade states to get the book to give an eye-based look of sorts, and makes Jade glance at Camelia to get Lonette to know that the girl cares for her newly discovered niece, "Indeed… Though she might be busy with things, I can sense that my one of eight Creators would be interested in moments once we coax her to be in this dwelling to meet with the other child."
Both females, Jade and Lonette that is, narrowed their eyes suspiciously at the book before the grimoire herself made a vortex by a small enchanted beam to where the entrance and exit of Lonette and Frank's apartment were, and saw it was in an alleyway.
"Of course, since the one child is still recovering, only I and Jadis can enter into it." The enchanted book states to make Jade sigh and muttered her name, and reluctantly got up with Lonette stating that Camelia was going to be in good hands as the book and Jade, enter the vortex as it closes behind them.
Lonette sighed in her seat and glanced at Camelia as she then got up and headed to the kitchen, and didn't see the rapid eye movement to which in another verse, another female sneezed in her realm before blending into her surroundings to hide as her urge to "Mate" due to what she was, was quelled, and was soon sucked into a vortex she fell into.
Anyway, Jade and Clara, came out of the alleyway with the child following the book for several minutes or so until they finally came to an unusual, mansion-like building that was large, demonic, and gothic looking with the building colors being red and pink, and shaded windows as well and the entrance was black gates with them being closer to what you see in the Adams Family location, but with a strange insignia in the center.
Jade did jump as lightning struck twice, and the cloudy sky above the place thundered as well.
"So, one of your creators is in there?" Jade warily asked as she somehow can feel the unnatural vibes from the property itself to which she saw the grimoire roll her lone eye at her and state and if she could, would be smirking to make Jade cross her arms after, "Yes, and there is no need to be such a scared cat."
Jade gave her a glare for a few moments before looking at the gate, and asked the book then and seeing there was no way to open it, "So what? We say a password or something?" Carla was rather amused by the question itself, but only replied to make Jade sweat drop herself, "There may be a password, but I have forgotten all about it as it has been years since I have last encountered these very gates."
"So what, I just state 'Open Sesame'-" Jade began before holding back her shock as the gate moved from the middle to the sides within the property with slight creaking to make the grimoire hum to herself before making Jade irritated by her response, "Seems they went the easy route this time."
Jade did place a brave front for herself as once she and the floating book entered the property and followed the limestone pathway to the mansion, she strangely felt like she was being observed as they eventually came to the large dark-oak double door entrance with the entire set of doors blended to make an etched image of a battle between many angels and demons and with two main entities: An Angel and a Demon, holding weapon-designed sword knockers.
Jade didn't know which one she would use, so she just shrugged and used both knockers at the same time, until someone answered the door by fully opening it, "What is a mortal as such as yourself, doing under my lord's doorstep?" It was a male voice to which Jade was rather perplexed as to where he was… Before glancing down and blinking a few times to see he was irked by her actions.
It or he was mainly looking like an imp-like demon with seemingly looking to be chaotic a bit, and mainly dark-purple skinned with bat wings, a dragon-like spaded tail for his size, a webbed-like webbing around his neck, curled large horns that made a thick arc and nearly a few inches or so close to touching, and a hidden eye, secretly, on his forehead as his appearance looks closer to a mini-imp-like purplish bat-based clown without a red or bulbous nose.
"Are you going to stare all day, or state what you want, Mortal?" The imp told her firmly to irk Jade at his attitude toward her, yet before she coils retort or anything else, the imp blinked in secretive shock at seeing the grimoire right before his eyes, and firmly told him with intended words, "Is that any way to speak to my one of two holders? Lord Bubi?"
The imp demon, otherwise known as Bubi, scowled at the floating enchanted book and tried to correct her, and with Jade feeling like a bit of the third wheel by watching things, "Mind your tone, Book. For I am Infernal Beelzebub Anarchia Cruul de Apokalypsi, the Opposite of Divine, Prince of Suffering and Torment, Master of all Sin, Conqueror of the Underworld, and King of all Demonkind!"
Bubi nearly facefaulted with Jade giving owlish looks at the book and the demon, she guessed by his supposed titles as he doesn't look threatening, as the grimoire herself responded with an eye roll, "Sure you are, Lord Bubi… But my presence is of urgency to my other Holder. I must speak with one of eight of my creators within her traveling mansion. With haste."
Bubi frowned and glanced with small intrigue then from sensing the power within Jade, but allowed them to come inside and Jade saw like the outside, the inside was mostly normal yet had hints of it as well, with the furniture and other things included.
There were unusual or interesting photos on some of the walls which Jade did memorize without trying to question things, even though some of the girls in most of the pictures did make Jade shake her head and try to not blush from the outfits they wore, as they soon came to a large foyer of the mansion on the third floor, and blinked at seeing with the imp giving both her and the floating grimoire a firm gaze to not interrupt, at seeing a female in a setup of sorts and possibly doing her job.
Particularly, seeing that she has set up the room seeing that this might be her room, and the windows show some parts of the city itself.
She is around 4'10 in height and has a delicate round face, despite having a slim-hourglass figure, and with wide light violet eyes alongside extending lashes at the top to make her eyes look cat-like, and medium-short dark bubblegum pink hair with light purple highlights on her front to her left eyes' bangs, her left-twin small-sided ponytail, and the back of her head on the left side of her neck alongside a lowercase "m"-based cowlick on top of her head that is also the same pink color. She has two pure white yet cute devil horns within her hair (which at times, wiggle), and two fully black heart hair clips with small pointy ears.
She wore, however, a dark purple tank-top with a midriff-baring shoulderless sweater on top, a black thigh-high skirt, and one dark pink thigh stocking with a short close-to-knee dull-white sock, and lastly a black garter belt with basic slip-on black shoes.
The female was singing to what Jade recalled from school, a Spanish song of sorts in a most beautiful way for a few moments before she took notice of her, the floating book, and the imp demon.
"It seems I have to go now everyone, I had fun for the last six and a half hours of streaming! Take care and see you next time!" The female states before seeing her turn things off as her cheerful smile soon shifted to puzzlement as she made Jade take a few steps back by somehow, teleporting right up to her face and free-floating as she did so.
"You seem… Interesting?" She questions herself before glancing at Bubi with a raised eyebrow from recognizing that book next to the child, and makes Jade hide the urge to sweat drop when she fully asks or orders him then, "What does she want?"
"She has yet to tell me, My Lord," Bubi bowed from what Jade glimpsed was out of reluctance to get the female to turn to her with a tilted head to the right in being puzzled, and ignoring the 'Hey' or 'Quit it' from Jade at being poked a few times before facing her once again as she landed gently on her feet.
"So… What does an interesting mortal like you doing here with Clara anyways?" The female then questioned to get Jade to blink a few times at how blunt the woman in front of her sounded yet before she could reply, the mentioned grimoire spoke to the female in glee with Jade feeling like a third wheel by gently scratching her chin as the book was in front of her, "My Creator! It has been ages since we last met!"
"I know my little Libro de Gemas (Gem Book), but I think what this mortal is feeling, is more urgent than our longtime reunion." The female tells the book to glance at Jade seeing Clara soon floating near Bubi wordlessly and if she could straighten herself out, as the female asked again, "What are you doing here?"
"Well… My friend is recovering from her episode and there is some kind of plot going on in this place-" "Cool World, Mortal Girl." Bubi corrected her yet flinched by the brief sharp glare the woman gave him before allowing Jade to continue, "Anyways, this Cool World…" here, Jade straightforwardly confessed for the next half-hour to what she could with them sitting in gothic chairs matching the mansion owner's clothing, and didn't notice the unseen glances now and then between the two.
When she was done, the female was deeply thinking for once in a long time before telling Bubi then to make him look stunned by her order and bringing small hope to Jade herself, "Hey Bubi. I need you to fetch me that one drought out of many reserves I stored away from my friend stopping by that one time, and prepare my Milk to be on the go."
"B-But My Lord! She is just-" Bubi flinched again at her sharp look before making Jade to guess she has a disorder or something as she smiled widely at her as they got up from their seats, and hide more intrigue from gently touching Jade's shoulders at sensing her energy, and freaked the Chan Girl out yet she placed a wary smile on her face, by the unexpected sharply teething grin on her face, "Let's go see this Pequeño Draco (Little Drake)?"
With Lonette, she was worried about her new niece due to seeing a dark aura surrounding her frame and hearing raspy yet quiet whimpers as those tears easily fell from Camelia's eyes, and despite being able to pass through the barrier, she was cold and warm, at the same time.
The reason was as soon as Jade left, five minutes later her apartment was invaded by strange imps of sorts that would have killed her from the weapons they had if it wasn't for Camelia waking up with glowing eyes and obliterating them, and yet they stabbed her with a weird dagger that the wound healed in moments when she reluctantly yanked it out.
Camelia's body was in this state ever since.
The female toon herself jumped when a flash appeared behind her near the door as Jade was there on top of a fading sigil with, seeing to stun her, the two entities within her apartment.
The female easily sped and was able to touch Camelia's forehead as Bubi has seen the battle damage to know Fel-Imps was the cause, as she firmly asked Lonette while ignoring Jade's worried face over her friend, "How long has she been like this, as I was told she was recovering from whatever she did?"
After being told things, Bubi gave a small green glowing vail to the woman and forced Camelia to open her mouth and forcibly swallow it, and then seeing within moments, that aura faded back into her and she looked less troubled and was calmly sleeping.
"She would be a bit weaker from what that drought does," the female tells them as she was sipping some type of milk in a straw-based thermos for a few moments before resuming as Bubi bowed gratefully at her then, "He is good at many things I can't do, and that type of healing drought, is one of his skills… Despite his many titles, he's still Bubi to me." At that, Bubi did a sweat drop at her words.
"Well, she is meant to recover more than what she did before." Jade tells herself to get looks turned to her for only a moment before Jade blinks at the female as if she forgot, "Now, what type of things are happening in my few summer city homes?"
Lonette felt like if she didn't inform the woman of this news, she would regret it in moments and did so in a short span of ten minutes to make Bubi groan and mutter to himself as if he knew what the cause was, "Of all the stupid things…" he gazed to his master, "My Lord. It seems that one fool managed to attempt that ritual in this city, by the use of at least seven toons of this world as an offering, from what I sensed, if you recall the way they described this Crazy Wolf."
"But I told you not to do that!?" The woman exclaimed to him to make the imp blink and sighed out with both Jade and Lonette giving equal looks of being utterly confused by what they were hearing as a small problem, "Well, after having to try and cook, clean, and more at the same time my mind tends to forget, My Lord. Particularly… If you were going to your fans in the forwarding times of Earth, from your home being able to travel anywhere and in time."
Before the woman could comment, they all stilled as the building shook and the ground rumbled to which by a snap from Bubi, they were all sucked into a vortex with the woman catching Camelia to see a monster destroying the complex.
It was mainly to what could only be described as a pitch-black and demonic-looking entity with sharp teeth to a jack-o-lantern maw, and a draconian-based body similar to a western drake or a dragon similar to what a corrupt "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" would have yet with large bat wings with random holes in the membrane. It also had two tails and was using them and their large clawed hands to do its task. It also had glowing demonic-looking purple eyes with plated gothic style dull silvery armor around the top of its head, on its spine, the tails, and its forearms and legs.
"So it seems like he lost control of the ritual if that thing's here." The female stated out with a hand to her chin as Jade was scared and perplexed, at the same time also holding her amusement of Bubi trying to carry Camelia within his hold, when the unusual female forced him to that is.
They were perplexed as it looked upwards as if it sensed something and with those wings, and without much of a word, flew with seeing a large flock of those creatures in the sky, mixed with other entities and creatures before they glanced to their left at seeing a sigil, making the female narrow her eyes as Ophis appeared with her eyes on her child for a few moments before gazing sharply at the woman and stating her name firmly, "Ironmouse."
"Hey Phi! Long time no see!" The female, Ironmouse, stated without a bite to her words, making Jade ponder with keeping her mouth shut, as to how Camelia's mom knows this weird woman, as Ophis simply gave her an irked look at her before eyeing Lonette with interest before gazing back at Ironmouse with firm eyes yet a calm face, "Enlighten me as to why my Hatchling is comatose once again?"
This made Ironmouse stiffen before glancing at the child that Ophis snatched out of her familiar's arms rudely and possessively to which she didn't say a thing on that, but they all stood their ground with seeing that random toons and doodles were running away in fear as from the path the creatures in the sky, was to a recently placed and demonic, massive, and darker-looking castle.
"Well, it seems My Lord and Lady, that the fool summoned that entity to this world." Bubi tells the two to which Ophis sighed out, and made Jade blink at realizing things, "It seems it was no coincidence that they arrived into this dimensional world, and our meeting once again after nearly forty years ago."
Ironmouse looked serious for once, and nodded in agreement, before they stood ground by shadowy vortexes appearing where the rubble was as Jade groaned with Ophis going to question that child for later, by her irked words, "Not those things again!"
It was those very same creatures that Jade and Camelia encountered before within her friend's sanctuary, but there were taller ones as well with more human-like bodies, and larger clawed hands.
"It seems like the ritual was overdone too." Bubi noted with Ophis narrowing her eyes as there is something wrong she felt once she stepped into this dimensional world, but Jade gulped as more and more came from the vortexes, the grimoire being held by Lonette as Jade suggested as every single one of them was eyeing the small group, "I think we need to run."
"Hey, Bubi?" Ironmouse began with narrowed eyes to get the imp himself to look at her before having a grin on his face by her order, "Deal with them as you see fit."
Bubi bowed in his way as Ironmouse made Jade jump as she grabbed her left arm in an inescapable hold, and grabbed Lonette as well, "It will be done, My Lord."
With an unexpected flash, the four vanished, leaving Bubi to crack his neck as a dark aura formed around his frame as he told them in growing glee of having to fight, "Let's see this thing through, shall we?"
With the four, they somehow ended up inside the castle itself… The main hall at least as indeed it was just like the outside for the inside.
"Something interfering with my transportation spell." Ophis calmly stated with a slight hint of anger before they heard a dark and echoing laugh all around them before they stilled, as an unexpected black mass rose from gathering everywhere.
It formed into an armored male demon with four wings behind him, a jagged-tip tail and glowing crimson eyes easily showing from his helm that matched the castle itself, as his armor to that of a Death Knight in World of Warcraft, of sorts, but with a snake skull on his left shoulder, and a dragon on his right.
"I would have preferred to better be prepared to face my foes that will stop me in taking control of this and the world linked…" the demon began with both Ophis and Ironmouse glaring at him gazing right at Camelia, and Jade having a gut-like feeling of sorts as he snapped his fingers and they all fell into another vortex, "But my comrade suggested to move local and send you to where things will be most entertaining for thyself. Farewell, and hope we don't meet again."
They then landed in what could be described as an endless white desert of sorts and saw the so-called desert as a massive floating aspect of an isle with seeing various other environments in their own right and habitats as well.
Ironmouse gapped while letting go of Lonette and Jade, as Ophis groaned out as to where they were, as not known to them further and way out in the distance, a battle was being fought with particular people from, in fourth wall terms, from a story of another realm of Beauty, Beasts, a Counter Ophis, Arch Angels, and 'Chaos Sneezing and Powers', "It seems that fool sent us to… The Forgotten Lands."
"That sounds weird." Jade admitted to her as she did give a wordless motion to know she was heard by the Nothing Drake, and Ironmouse groaned with her summoning her thermos and took a few sips before dismissing it back, as she rarely complains but from recalling the realm, told Jade then as it seems Camelia was slowly waking up within Ophis' arms, "That ain't no place to say that, as this is one of the few-dimensional realms that links to all alternative or multiple realms as each land formation, Mortal, is rather complex yet holds not only forgotten dreams and creatures of old but many other things."
Jade narrowed her eyes while inwardly being startled by that, as she told her in a way to make Ophis have an unseen smirk, Lonette gasped, and for Ironmouse to take a few steps back with her having intrigued eyes by being one of the few to see Jade's eye's briefly glowing by her words, "It's Jade Chan, not Mortal or even anything else!"
"Whatever you say, Little Muchacha (Girl)," Ironmouse dismissed her to make Jade crossed as she crossed her arms in a few moments of a pout before they all were grabbed and separated Camelia from the group, as even the book was grabbed, by a shadowy tentacle to each individual with seeing they were not real but spell-based, and heard unexpected and slow-loud clapping as they gazed down to see a man before them.
He had long black hair and pale skin, around 5'9, red with white pupils eyes with blue eyeshadow, and wore a simple, common outfit based on the feudal era as it was dark blue with a purple vest on top.
As he spoke, he oddly sounded like the voice actor, Paul Dobson, and looked to be in his early twenties as well. "It seems that I have caught individuals within my domain, part of this forsaken realm." The man, however, raised an eyebrow at both Jade and Camelia with inner interest in sensing their potential.
Ophis hid the urge to growl at realizing that these spelled tentacles were one of few rare spells that would block any abilities to aid in fighting, with seeing Ironmouse was struggling within her hold as well.
Carla was merely silent alongside Lonette, if she could as a toon, would pale from feeling half-drained.
"It's none of your beeswax, you big baboon man!" Jade declared with feeling herself oddly overwhelmed as she kept getting faint pains from her heart again to know her friend was affected by whatever this man did, and only saw him raise an eyebrow at her as if wordlessly stating, was that the best insult she could do.
"I claimed this floating land with future ideas in mind, from having one of my recent incarnations to aid in the sacrifice to enter and leave as please to this realm. Learning it from another power source, and yet… My knowledge is rather dim compared to seeing two female demons of powers that would be equal to mine, here." The man tells them to make Ophis and Ironmouse stiffen at the proclamation before he mock-bows them while introducing himself, "Forgive my current hospitalities of rudeness. For I am Demon Lord Naraku, and from fully sensing your latent energy… You may have granted my curiosity about the theory of other worlds, and those that dwell in them for other potential artifacts of power."
Naraku then narrowed his eyes at taking a closer look at them all, before showing a smirk on his face as he was about to question them about things before frowning as he sensed that he wasn't the only one to know that he wasn't the only one to sense out this small group, and they saw his eyes glinting with an unexpected and twisted idea.
Ophis and Ironmouse felt that their powers were being siphoned to him as they wouldn't have allowed this by any means unless it was dire, for some purpose, as he held out his right hand as time from being secretly sent here eons ago, made him learn more things as a miasma-like black sphere of raw demonic energy was formed and sent it past them to see he summoned a vortex to several random locations, on Earth.
He then dropped the group onto the ground with the spelled tentacles vanishing into dust, as he snapped his fingers as he smirked at purposely jumping and going into the vortex once again, the group was sucked into another portal as it also sucked up some things hidden away within the ground as well before it closed up.
The group was then on top of each other after seeing them back in Cool World, but it was chaos as toons and those creatures, were fighting each other by any means and coincidentally, landed on top of Nails as Frank blinked twice before shaking his head as he shot at a random imp, as a way further ahead near the castle, a larger source of a battle was taken place.
"Lonette!" Frank finally noticed as he got her up and the others did as well, with Camelia fully awake yet couldn't stand up without support as she looked paler in contrast to her actual skin color, "Are you alright?"
"Yes, and I may have gone on a lot of chaos trips than I liked." Lonette admits to her husband as he noticed the others with Ironmouse and Ophis impressed by the toon as he shot without looking from what appeared to be an enchanted pistol, several rounds into a small dozen of fel-imps about to kill a walrus fish-man toon by the name of Blubber, and told them to still in place for a few moments, "You've been gone for at least five and a half hours and almost made me think you were dead."
They heard several roars with Ophis narrowing her eyes at seeing those flying creatures were in this world to know that mortal, was here as well for assisting in this conflict, and made them all blink with seeing Ironmouse herself was very weak as the siphon took most of her energy for that vortex, "Satan… I want you to leave with my child and those she has befriended as I will come when I finish the conflict."
Ironmouse was about to object as she sensed Bubi was fighting with a powerful opponent before coughing up some blood unexpectedly as she sighed and nodded, and without warning with Ophis giving a soft look only at her wide-eyed child by what her words meant, were sucked into a dark-crimson portal and landed gracefully on their feet within Section 13.
Camelia was rather surprised at seeing Jackie and the others were here and by things, were going to send a squad to find them until they arrived, and Jade warily rubbed the back of her head with a shaky laugh as she stated to them, "I can sorta explain?" The reason was the looks they all got.
