Ichigo fidgets with his thumbs, glancing through the window at the passing scenery. His eyes narrow when he hears Kisuke chuckling quietly and turns his head.
"What?" He asks suspiciously, making Kisuke laugh louder.
"You haven't stopped fidgeting since you entered the car. Nervous about me?" Kisuke points out. A smile grows on his face when he sees the blush crawling up Ichigo's ears.
"I wouldn't have agreed to a second date if I was, idiot!" Ichigo snarks at him before he crosses his arms. "I'm just exci–"
Ichigo snaps his mouth shut, eyes wide at how easily his admission came out. His face turns brighter than beet red as Kisuke hums cheerfully.
"Excited? Oh my, Ichigo-kun! You must really like me, hm?" Kisuke teases before laughing when Ichigo lightly hits his shoulder.
"Sh-shut up! I–you–well, you're really–really nice and you... I find you interesting!" Ichigo stutters out with a glare. He turns his head with a huff and forces his eyes to glare out of the window.
"Mm. Many people would say differently about me," Kisuke comments offhandedly.
Ichigo pauses at the admission, his eyebrows furrowing. "How could they think differently?"
"...a part of my work involves research and experiments with the human body. Of course, I'm given permission beforehand, but many people find it... revolting and immoral that I experiment on corpses," Kisuke speaks vaguely and softly.
Ichigo blinks at the information before turning his head. He watches Kisuke keep his focus on the road ahead, clearly trying to avoid Ichigo's stare.
"I didn't realize you could do that... is it a specialized field?" Ichigo asks curiously. The pale blonde blinks twice, stopping before a red light. He turns his head and stares at Ichigo with wide eyes.
"...not necessarily. I–more or less–created the field once I had my research verified, but–you are taking this quite well." Kisuke's befuddlement gives Ichigo his turn to laugh.
"I grew up in a clinic. My mother and that ba–and my father ran it together. After Mama died, I could pretty much run the clinic with my eyes closed," Ichigo starts, glancing away as he recalls all the times he would watch his mother in the clinic. "Discovery, accidental or purposeful, is always revealed through the research and work of those determined to create, control, or refine chaos."
"I couldn't agree more." The genuine sincerity in Kisuke's voice is what makes Ichigo face him once more. He could feel his cheeks warm and his heart jump as he stared into eyes bright with wonder and desire. They almost seemed to be rays of moonlight underneath the florescent streetlights.
"That beautiful mind of yours makes you a magnificent artist," The older man continues before he faces ahead. The light turns green.
Ichigo can't help that his breath stutters. He swallows back a sigh and ducks his head. His fingers twitch to grip the front of his shirt, but he manages to stop himself.
I want to give him my heart.
Rip it out and hand it to him.
Let him feel how much I love him.
Any faster and Ichigo honestly thinks his heart will beat out of his chest. This all feels like a dream, a beautiful fantasy in his mind's garden of nightmares and demons.
Very few compliment his talent and truly mean it. Ichigo knows he would do anything for Kisuke if he asked. Ichigo hopes Kisuke would do the same...
"We're here."
Ichigo looks out of the window and finally notices the warm lighting of the restaurant he picked for their date. He takes in a shaky breath as he smiles.
He knows this is just the beginning of their honeymoon phase... but God, does Ichigo wish this would last forever. And maybe it can, if he plans it all out correctly.
The food was barely touched in front of him, even if it was absolutely delicious. Ichigo absently takes a sip of his wine, feeling the back of his neck itch. He glances across from him at the itch, quickly noticing Kisuke staring at him.
Ichigo sighs quietly and glances at his food. He shouldn't be surprised that Kisuke would perceive it a certain way.
"You're curious about it," Ichigo comments the unspoken question the pale blonde wouldn't ask. He startles at the sudden comment before a faint blush dusts his cheeks.
Kisuke laughs sheepishly and tugs at his hair. "Was it that obvious?"
Ichigo smiles softly and takes another sip of his drink. He hums softly at the rich taste of the red wine before gently shaking his head.
"Mama was the sun, and my family and I revolved around her. She died 11 years ago." Ichigo presses his thumb against the rim of the wine glass. "After that, life pretty much fell apart in our family... I picked up the pieces and took over everything when Goat Face just forgot that he had children."
"And when he remembered, he forgot that a child shouldn't be the provider for even younger children." The afterthought makes Ichigo pause his thumb right below the lip. He taps his fingers against the glass before he grabs it and drinks the rest of his wine.
"I made sure my sisters were raised as best as I could raise them. Sometimes I couldn't manage to find a way to get Goat Face's wallet for groceries, so I made sure Yuzu and Karin ate their fill before I did," He continues quietly, a sardonic smile growing on his face as he observes the wine glass in his hand.
He wants to make it shatter with just his grip. He wants to watch the blood drip on the white tablecloth covering the table. He wants to watch the blood stain it the color of red heliotropes that his mother always loved.
"I don't know your sisters, but I am absolutely positive you raised them wonderfully," Kisuke says softly. Ichigo blinks, surprised when a warm hand gently wraps around his constantly freezing one. It twitches instinctively, as if it didn't want to make Kisuke cold.
Ichigo looks up and smiles. He unwraps his hand from the wine glass and turns it so he could hold Kisuke's hand.
"Thank you, Kisuke-san. It's–it means more than you realize." Ichigo glances away when their waiter suddenly appears before them.
"How is everything so far? More wine?" The man asks politely, holding a bottle of red wine.
Ichigo nods his head with a quiet smile. "Please."
"Everything is going wonderfully, thank you," Kisuke answers right after Ichigo's. Ichigo watches as the waiter pours more red wine into his glass before leaving as quickly as he had appeared. Ichigo watches after him, slightly distracted by the convenient timing.
He smiles knowingly, chuckling under his breath. He wouldn't be surprised if Kisuke called ahead to make sure they had excellent service.
"I never knew my parents. I was raised on the streets of the poorest districts." Ichigo blinks at the unprompted start of a story and faces Kisuke once more. "It wasn't until a beautiful woman named Benihime had taken me in that I knew what a home felt like."
"She isn't a... conventional mother, but she gave me a name and a way to protect myself. I owe her everything that I have made for myself," Kisuke continues, eyes far away while he reminisces about a life he lived long ago.
"She would love you." Ichigo startles at the sudden comment, his face bright red as it processes in his mind.
"That–that... I–you say–you're saying that like we're t-together!" The young man impulsively accuses in his embarrassment.
"I think a dinner date warrants two people to be an official item, as some people put it," Kisuke states with a knowing smile. Ichigo burns an even brighter shade of red before he grabs his newly filled wine glass.
He drinks half of it with his eyes gazing away from Kisuke. His hands twitch and he could feel his breath stutter.
He wants to date me!
He wants us to be together.
Together... we're together!
He's mine. He's mine. He's mine.
"If–if you want us to be together... I... I would be more than happy," Ichigo slowly speaks his thoughts on Kisuke's statement. He glances through his peripherals and watches the pale blonde, only to quickly avert his gaze at the expression on the older man's face.
He looked almost... lovestruck. It–it was probably Ichigo's mind playing tricks. The possibility of it being real still made his heart beat faster.
For Kisuke to be completely in love with Ichigo. Giving Ichigo everything and receiving the same. Never looking at anyone else, except Ichigo.
"–hara-san? Oh! What a surprise!" Ichigo snaps back into reality at the unfamiliar voice. He turns his head and pauses when he sees some woman looking at Kisuke.
Ichigo's hand tightens around his wine glass. He glances over at Kisuke, silently noting his annoyance.
"Hoashi-san... it's wonderful to see you again," Kisuke greets tightly, his smile clearly forced.
Ichigo couldn't stop the face twitch when the woman brightens up at being recognized. His teeth ache to bite off her face when he notices her blush underneath the warm lights.
He doesn't like you.
I'll give him your face as a gift.
He'll watch me as I rip it off with my teeth.
He'll watch you scream.
"Who's this?" Ichigo smiles, a bit more pleased than what's socially acceptable at the clear look of jealousy and disgust in the woman's eyes.
"Ah. Ichigo-kun, this is one of Kuchiki-kun's employees, Hoashi Kazuyo-san. We occasionally work together," Kisuke introduces the woman towards the orange haired man.
Ichigo continues to smile and holds out his hand. "Kurosaki Ichigo. I'm Kisuke's boyfriend."
He fights tooth and nail to keep the blush from showing, but he couldn't stop the widening of his smile at Kazuyo's utter shock.
"You–Urahara-san... I didn't expect you to be... um..."
"Gay?" Kisuke inputs, clearly amused by the woman's stuttering. "I'm not. I don't have a preference–only that the person that I'm dating, whoever it is, is interesting and open-minded. Of course beauty isn't necessary, but it sure is nice to have such a beautiful boyfriend, hm?"
Ichigo couldn't stop the blush from staying off his face at the smooth way Kisuke had both spoken his claim and complimented Ichigo in the same sentence. He gives him a small glare before smiling up at the woman.
I'm his and he's mine.
He will never have eyes for you.
I'll gouge them out myself if he ever does.
"Kisuke-s–hm, Kisuke I'm pretty much stuffed. How about we head out? I still have to tell you the whole story about Rukia and I," Ichigo suggests, completely ignoring the woman. He only cared about making sure she knew where her place was. Which was preferably dead, but non-existent will have to do.
"Are you going to tell me everything?" Kisuke asks while he waves down the waiter.
"Nope!" Ichigo states with a cheeky smile of his own.
"That's a bit cruel, Ichigo-kun!" Kisuke whines in mock hurt, making Ichigo laugh.
"I did say maybe. And I'll tell you the story that Byakuya knows," Ichigo points out as he watches the older man swiftly pay for the meal. They both stand from the table, still ignoring the slow fury inside Kazuyo.
"I guess so. Well, let's get going. Ah, Hoashi-san. It was nice to see you again," Kisuke obviously lies through his smile before he starts to walk away with Ichigo.
The young man glances over his shoulder and grins at the incredibly red face of the woman. Serves her right.
Ichigo turns his head to face forward when the world around him suddenly turns faster at the motion. He stumbles with a small gasp, attempting to regain his balance before he falls. A strong arm wraps around his waist before he could fall and pulls him towards another body.
"Are you okay?" Kisuke asks, keeping Ichigo held to his side. Ichigo clenches his eyes shut with a small sigh and nods his head.
"Sorry... I turned my head t' fast..." Ichigo slowly opens his eyes before giving Kisuke a smile. "I'm a bit 'f a lightweight, but I didn't 'xpect it to hit me so fast."
"We were here longer than you probably realized..." Kisuke's pleased voice sounded muffled as he slowly started to walk them out of the restaurant.
Ichigo hums, eyesight going fuzzy. He looks over at Kisuke and watches. Everything was fuzzy, except Kisuke. He faintly feels like his eyes were straining, as if to keep the older man in focus.
Pale blonde hair framed a fair face with a sharp jaw. It looked so soft... Ichigo wants to run his hands through it.
Kisuke turns his eyes when they step outside of the restaurant. He smiles with all of his teeth, quicksilver eyes staring into Ichigo's.
"Is something wrong?" He asks curiously as he leans his head closer.
Ichigo blinks slowly before a grin of his own grows on his face. He doesn't really think about how he must look. He doesn't even realize he was drugged.
"You... you 're so... beautiful..." Ichigo whispers, almost breathless. Ichigo tilts his head up as a stilted and empty laugh leaves his mouth.
"...don't ask people if I'm 'ver able to draw them. They get scared 'f my art, but you... I can't help it," He continues to speak reverently, even as his words slur more and more. He hums softly and presses his face against Kisuke's neck. He smells old books and ink.
The arm around his waist tightens at the declaration. Ichigo slowly blinks his eyes open with a noise before he's roughly turned around. A whine leaves his throat when his back is pressed against cold metal.
His eyesight was too fuzzy to make out where they were. He blinks again when stormy eyes suddenly appear in his line of sight. They were full of madness, and full of love.
"You're so lovely... and mine, Ichigo. My beautiful Ichigo..." Kisuke hisses before he pulls Ichigo towards him. Ichigo feels warm lips press against his own, an arm trapping him to the body in front of him.
"Kiss... kissing me... he's kissing me." It clicks in his head, making him moan breathlessly. Kisuke breaks the kiss with a small laugh and leans forward to press his mouth against Ichigo's ear.
"Kis-Kisuke..." Ichigo whines softly. He gasps for breath when the arm around his waist starts to hurt him. His eyes flutter close as Kisuke takes a deep breath.
"Say it again. Say my name again." Kisuke presses his lips against Ichigo's jaw.
Ichigo leans his head back to give the older man more room. He couldn't think. He couldn't see. Everything felt so fuzzy. It–it was just him and Kisuke.
"Kis-Kisuke-san... Kisuke, please!" Ichigo begs breathlessly. He doesn't know what he was begging for. Everything felt far away. The world was spinning so fast underneath his feet. He was so confused.
"Good boy. So lovely for me," Kisuke groans in Ichigo's ear, making the younger man whine.
"Please... please... Kis–Kisuke..." Ichigo's voice slowly tapers off. He struggles to stay awake, to be present with the one he loves so much.
Kisuke hums softly as he opens the surface he had pressed Ichigo against. "Not now Ichigo... you're very tired."
Only a whimper could escape Ichigo's mouth, everything getting fuzzier. He hears Kisuke's chuckle before he's carefully laid out against something soft.
Ichigo couldn't see anything any time he opened his eyes. Everything was dark. Even the darkness was fuzzy.
"Sleep, Ichigo. I'll be here when you wake up..."
Ichigo whines again and leans his head back to rest on whatever he was laying on. His consciousness slowly slips from him, leaving him floating in the limbo between.
"I love you, Ichigo. I love you so much."
Ichigo closes his eyes one last time with his answer on the tip of his tongue. He was asleep before he could speak his love.
He looked so beautiful like this. Soft breaths enter and leave his partially open mouth as Ichigo sleeps without a care in the world.
He was limp against the grey sheets of Kisuke's bed, slightly curled on his side. His hands curled around empty air, as if he was holding something. His hair was in disarray and his skin glowed underneath the city lights.
Kisuke lifts his leg and presses his knee into the mattress, leaning over Ichigo. He could watch the beautiful man sleep for hours.
He raises his hand and cups Ichigo's cheek. His eyes watch as Ichigo leans into the touch with a small noise.
He's so pretty.
I want to feel more of his skin.
I want to mark him.
Kisuke slides closer and hovers his face over Ichigo's. He tilts his head, slowly sliding his hand down towards Ichigo's neck. He messes with the turtleneck Ichigo wore, but keeps his thumb pressed against his pulse.
It was calm and slow. Kisuke wonders how fast it would pick up if he started to kiss Ichigo. Kisuke leans even closer and closes his eyes. He breathes in deeply and hums in delight at Ichigo's scent.
Ink and jasmine. There was even a hint of blood. Oh, Ichigo... So lovely.
"Ichigo..." Kisuke sighs softly and opens his eyes to stare at the young man's sleeping face. He finally gives in and lifts his hand to grab Ichigo's jaw. He tilts the limp head up and slowly presses his lips against the partially open mouth.
He sighs softly as he forces his tongue into Ichigo's mouth. He maps every part of the cavern, marking it, making it his. Kisuke groans into Ichigo's mouth when he instinctively opens his own mouth as if asking for more.
Perfect. He's perfect. Even in a state of drugged unconsciousness, Ichigo is still letting Kisuke do what he wants. Allowing him to do it. Kisuke really is special to him.
More. More, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more
I want more.
I want it all. I want to take it all.
I want to devour you, Ichigo.
Small whimpers start to escape Ichigo's throat as Kisuke continues to kiss him deeply. It isn't until his own lungs start to burn did Kisuke finally lean back. Ichigo gasps for breath, cheeks bright red with a beautiful blush and saliva making his swollen lips shine.
Kisuke presses his lips against Ichigo's one more time, savoring the taste before he lays down next to Ichigo. He gathers the orange haired man in his arms and holds him almost suffocatingly tight.
"Sleep well, Ichigo-kun. I'll be here when you wake up..." Kisuke murmurs into Ichigo's ear.
As much as he hates to admit it, Kisuke's a bit grateful for that woman to suddenly pop up as she did. It gave the drug time to take effect in Ichigo. Despite the fact that she thinks she has a chance with him, he's quite thankful she's able to help him get closer to Ichigo. Knowingly or not.
Ichigo didn't even hesitate, or blush, when he called himself Kisuke's boyfriend. And that jealousy...
Kisuke tightens his arms around the unconscious Ichigo at the thought. He wonders if he'd be able to push Ichigo enough to make him lose it in his jealousy. He had a dark side–one he was expertly keeping in check. It made Kisuke want to break him down even more.
Shatter his entire self, his entire body. Find everything, every little thing, that makes Ichigo tick. Then, build him back together. Piece him back together. Kisuke wonders if there will ever come a point in their relationship that Ichigo will allow that.
"We're together now, Ichigo-kun... and I am never letting you go... I'll kill you if you ever try to leave," Kisuke thinks with a manic, dreamy smile on his face.
Benihime... he's found it. He found his lovely Ichigo and he promised to never let go.
