Sam breathed a silent sigh of relief when he heard familiar footsteps approaching and his brother came into view.
He didn't look for Sam and Wiley, just sat down at the foot of a tree near the edge of the clearing. Looking tired and worn, he pulled a bottle of water out of his pocket and drained half of it in one long thirsty gulp.
A faint whisper came from Wiley. When Sam glanced over, the other hunter's eyes were fixed on the trail that Dean had walked in on.
A young woman, a girl, really, stepped into the clearing.
