Chapter 4
The plan was simple Hannah ask Jughead to keep Archie away from Principal Weatherbee or even going near the offices.
Archie is rushing to the crowd of students who were trying to get to class or other places. It took him time and patience to decide to tell Weatherbee about the fourth of July gunshot. However, Jughead was acting strange.
First, he wanted Archie to tell someone then all of a sudden Jughead told Archie not to say anything to Weatherbee.
Archie managed to make an excuse to go bathroom as he was going to go to the office. Too many times, Jughead lures Archie away from going to the office and he knows that someone has to tell somebody about the fourth of July.
The guilt is eating him alive.
Lately, this morning, Hannah and his dad acted strange and simply said, "You be careful at school." And his dad hugged him hard and left for work.
Archie looked at Hannah and said, "Don't look at me. I know nothing." She simply makes herself an excuse to get her backpack and ran out the door.
'Okay, something is going on.' Archie thought about it.
Archie was resolved, and he strode up to Weatherbee's office, determined, only to find it closed and locked.
"Principal Weatherbee isn't here, he's been called out of the school," the office staff told him when he went to ask, and morose, Archie went to the Student's lounge.
"Where have you been, man?" Jughead asked, anxious and Archie could only frown.
"I went to Weatherbee's office to tell him, but he wasn't there-" The flash of relief on Jughead's face confused Archie but now he felt pretty damn sure Jughead was trying to keep him from going to Weatherbee, "What's going on?" He asked, angry.
"Archie! Archie!" Kevin unknowingly comes to Jughead. "Come on, Ms. Grundy is being arrested."
"What?!" Archie yelled in confusion. Arrested? Ms. Grundy? Archie looked back at Jughead who looked sorry, but he remained firm that it had to be done.
Kevin tell Archie to follow him as Betty and Veronica saw the boys who ran into the halls. The girls followed them. Hannah who just came out of the bathroom paused as she witness this arrest.
Archie stopped and saw Ms. Grundy in cuffs she looked like she silently crying as she was led through the hallways. Jughead looked to see where Hannah is and spotted her. Jughead went to her side as Hannah politely opened the door for the Sheriff to make their way to the car.
Ms. Grundy stopped for a moment as Jughead and Hannah looked at how the teacher is looking at Archie.
Hannah has no regret.
What Ms. Grundy was doing is wrong and she knows that.
She just hoped that her cousin would understand someday and forgive her. Jughead shakes him lightly as if this was a case of Romeo and Juliet's attitude. A typical excuse that every sick person makes it as love.
Jughead sneakily holds her free hand in comfort. Hannah appreciated the gestures as she returns the grip.
Ten minutes ago…
Few minutes before Ms. Grundy's arrest. Everyone was having another boring day in class.
That is until music class began its lesson.
"Alright everyone, we are learning about Mozart's documentary video today. I have passed the worksheet for you all to answer and it is okay to take notes because chances of it that some of them will be in the quiz."
Knock, knock.
"Yes?" Ms. Grundy said as the door opened. Enter came Sheriff Keller and his two deputies along with Principal Weatherbee with grim looks.
"Ms. Grundy, I'm sorry for disturbing your class today." Sheriff Keller comes forward and suggests that she turn around and put her hands above her head. Ms. Grundy was about to question Keller, but principal Weatherbee simply said, "Just do as he asks. Please, let's not make a scene."
The students whisper and wonder what's going on here.
Ms. Grundy obeys as she turns to face her students.
He took her wrist and placed them behind her back and handcuffed her. He then announced her rights.
"You are under arrest for the three accounts of murder, identity theft, and four statutory rape of a minor. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you?"
Ms. Grundy was scared and shocked that she was arrested during class. Her students gasped when they heard 'Statutory rape of a minor'. They are curious about who were her victims.
Also, murder, could she be the one who killed Jason and others before?
The sheriff moved from the face of her students, but Principal Weatherbee made one final say, "Consider yourself fired from this school and kiss your teaching career and license goodbye. For the sake of protecting my students, I suggest you get out of my school. Sheriff, please escort her out." Weatherbee looked at her in disgust as Keller escorted her out of the class.
Ms. Grundy wanted to say something, but she knows that someone had found out about her past. So instead of saying anything, she must remain silent as she knows that justice will be served for what she had done.
Sheriff Keller led her to walk through the halls. Ms. Looked passed several class windows as few looked back surprised at this event.
Music plays as she was being escorted out.

Students are coming out of their classroom as the bell ring, but paused when they witness Mrs. Grundy being arrested by the Sheriff.
Some took out their cell phones to record this. Sounds of clicks and flashes out fazed the background.
(Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changin' ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?)
Walking passed there Josie and the pussy cats who were on break saw in slow motion Ms. Grundy being escorted by the sheriff. The jocks like Reggie looked blank and other jocks whisper to each other as they watch a known child molester and the possible murderer is caught by the police.
(Well, I've been afraid of changin'

And I'm getting older too)
The other teachers who come out of the lunge watch and a few shake their heads at Ms. Grundy. Ms. Grundy looked the other way as a few tears flowed a little. Archie came rushing into the halls and stop when he saw who was arrested.
His friends behind are surprised as their music teacher is being arrested. Betty, Veronica, and Kevin are shocked that the police have all evidence to arrest this imposter Grundy.
She looked and stopped her walk as she looked at Archie.
No words were spoken as Sheriff had to use little force to make her walk again.

Hannah who doesn't look surprised as Jughead stood next to her. They looked coldly at Ms. Grundy as they watch her go inside the police car everyone came out of the front to watch. It doesn't take a genius to know who told the cops about what Ms. Grundy had done. Sheriff Keller looked at Hannah and gave her a tap of his hat in gratitude as they all went to their car.

The siren noise is heard as Ms. Grundy looked back at Riverdale High as they drive away from the school.
Everyone was quiet as they didn't something like this had happened.
Their small happy town of Riverdale…
Is no longer the same again.

I figured since we never had that in the tv shows. I thought to add a little drama a bit.
Next time, Betty Cooper needs Jughead's help. Hannah reading a file about the next case.
