The Plantars, Boonchuy twins and Lily are riding on the wagon riding through a desert landscape as Anne scrolls through the photos on her phone until she sees a picture of Toad tower crumbling. "Huh, I don't remember taking a photo of Toad Tower." Anne said.
"Oh, that was me." Polly admitted. "I wanted a little reminder o how we messed those Toads up."
"That sure was fun." Andy chuckled.
"I've been working on a song based on the battle." Sprig said as he grabbed his fiddle.
"Am I in it?" Hop Pop asked.
"Maybe." Sprig said. Sprig started to sing about the frog revolution and mentioned Anne and Andy are the heroes who stepped in. Hop Pop was excited but then he Sprig mentioned that Hop Pop is a coward his excitement turned into disappointment. Once Sprig is done, Hop Pop decided to give his feedback.
"Great song Sprig." Lily said.
"I love it." Andy said.
"That's it!? You missed all the good parts, what about the time where I ran for mayor or when I stood up to those tax collectors?" Hop Pop asked.
"I wasn't there for that." Andy said.
"Audiences want stakes and action." Sprig said.
"It felt like yesterday when I was an revolutionary hero, now I'm just plain old Hop Pop." Hop Pop sighed.
"Don't say that Hop Pop, I'm sure you'll get your chance to shine somewhere else." Lily said.
"Thank you Lily." Hop Pop said. "But it looks like we're approaching our first town Bittyburg."
"Our first town outside of Wartwood! I wonder what it'll be like? Will the frogs be nice? WILL THEY HAVE A BATHROOM?!" Anne questioned.
"Calm down Anne." Lily said. "I'm sure they'll have a bathroom."
"We're here." Hop Pop said.
Everyone looked around and see that it was literally a small town. "This is the cutest little town I ever seen." Anne said as she walked up to the saloon and ripped the roof off causing every small frog to stare at Anne in shock. "Um, ye-haw!"
"Nice one Anne." Andy said with a deadpan look and began to walk away but he hears crunching, he looks down and sees a crushed carriage. "Oops." Andy said.
"Watch your step." Lily said as she walked up towards Andy.
"Yeah I know." Andy said.
While the group looked around they hear screaming. They look and see light green toad with dark green patches and a pale yellow underbelly. He has an underbite with one tooth sticking out, and he wears an eyepatch as well. The covered eye has a scar that extends past the eyepatch. He's wearing a brown vest with a dark red belt that has a gold buckle on it. He wears long, dark green pants and no shirt.
"Where's my money?" The Toad asked the little frog right before he throws the tiny frog to the ground. "I don't want excuses!"
"Who the heck is that guy?" Lily asked.
"Sounds and looks like a thug." Andy said. "Let's kick his ass."
"I got this." Hop Pop said. "Get that fiddle ready Sprig." Hop Pop whispered to Sprig as he walked towards the toad.
"Sorry Mr. Judro, my son Bailey has been really sick." One frog said.
Bailey coughs as he looked at his dad. "Papa."
"Hey there! Uh, fella. Who do you think you are, pushing these good people around?" Hop Pop said.
"I'm Judro Hasselback and this here's my town. Who the heck are you?" Judro asked.
"The name's Hopadiah Plantar! The frog that's going to you some manners." Hop Pop pushes Judro to the ground.
Judro gets back up. "Hey you better-" Judro gets pushed down by Hop Pop again, Judro gets back up. "Stop!" Judro begged again it he gets pushed down by Hop Pop. "You'll pay for this!" Judro shouted as he crawled away.
"Did he just beated that guy by pushing him?" Lily asked.
"Sure looks like it." Andy replied.
"Three cheers for Hopediah Plantar." Bailey said.
The bitties all lifted Hop Pop and shouted. "Hip, hip, hooray!" The bitties shouted but they were crushed by the weight of Hop Pop. "Hooray!" The bitties groaned.
"Wow Hop Pop. Nice work." Anne said.
"Not bad." Andy said.
"Go. Hop Pop!" Sprig cheered.
"Why that was nothing. Judro's just a big blowhard. Not like those tax toads I stood up to." Hop Pop said causing the Bitties to gasp.
"You stood up to toads?" One frog asked.
"Tell us the story. Please? Please?" Bailey begged.
"Aw sweetie there's not much to tell." Hop Pop replied.
Three hours later
"And then I lifted not one, not two but three toads over my head and threw off Toad Tower." Hop Pop said as the Bitties gasped and cheered.
"Three toads? I don't remember that." Polly said.
"That's because it never happened." Sprig whispered to Polly.
"So did he punched Sasha in the face and give her scars?" Lily asked with an Irritated tone in her voice.
"I gave her the burn mark making her look like Zuko." Andy said.
"Oh let him have this. He's just juicing up the details a bit. In our world, we call it marketing." Anne said.
"Yeah, and the fans are either disappointed or Satisfied." Andy said.
"And so, using my frog-given natural strength, I kicked the side of Toad Tower and it exploded!" Hop Pop said as the Bitties cheered.
"He forgot to mention that One eyed Wally helped." Andy whispered.
"Hooray for Hopediah Plantar, here to protect us from the ruthless Hasselback Gang." Bailey said
"I'm sorry, Bailey, did you say "gang"?" Hop Pop asked.
"Hopediah Plantar!" Judro shouted. Everyone looked and they see Judro with a green toad with an old fashioned mustache, a light brown buff frog, a newt that looks like a something out of Boarderlands and finally a large elderly mint green toad with a lighter shaded, yellow underbelly and white hair tied into a bun. She wears typical western-fashioned clothing including a mahogany waistcoat over a grey shirt and a black belt fastened with a golden buckle featuring the Hasselback gang signature, "H". She also wears black finger-less gloves and dark grey boots with brown lining along the bottom.
"Who the hell are they?" Andy asked.
"Whoo-whee! You done asked for it, so here it comes." Judro said. "This here's the Hasselback gang. My brother Heathro." Heathro snorted as he was introduced.
"Half sister Ruth." Judro gestured to the newt using a knife as a toothpick.
"I hate to meet the father." Lily whispered.
"Uncle Talbert." Judro gestured to the buff frog. "And of course, the matriarch herself, Mama Hasselback."
"You the frog who dare grow Judro outta town?" Mama Hasselback asked.
"He told his mom on Hop Pop?" Andy asked.
"Yep." Bailey said. "And he's gonna run you outta town too. Right, Hopediah!"
Mama Hasselback laughs at that statement and sat down on a stool. "This I gotta see." She said.
"You're going to regret this." Hop Pop said nervously, he tried to move Mama Hasselback, but with no effort. "Think I almost got her." Hop Pop panted.
Mama Hasselback hits Hop Pop with a roller knocking him to the ground as the Bitties gasped. "Hop Pop!" Lily cried out.
"Let him go!" Anne shouted as she, Sprig, Polly, Andy and Lily charged towards Mama Hasselback, but Judro used his tongue to tie up the kids and throw them in barrels.
"Aw man just like in middle school." Anne groaned.
"Don't remind me sis." Andy said.
"Eh, it's just like my bucket." Polly said.
"Looks like you folks chose the wrong frog." Mama Hasselback said she grabbed Hop Pop by one leg. "Or should I say Fraud." Mama Hasselback laughed as she threw Hop Pop to the ground.
"Got to help him." Andy said as he struggled to break free form the barrel.
"Word of advice, folks‐‐ Don't believe everything you're told about heroes. After all, they don't exist." Mama Hasselback said.
"Is it true Hopediah? Are heroes a lie?" Bailey asked.
"Yes, Bailey. It's True!" Hop Pop shouted.
"Now get lost!" Mama Hasselback said as the Hasselback gang throws rest of the gang in barrels. "And take your trash with you."
Meanwhile the Boonchuy twins, Lily and the Plantars are riding on Bessie and the Fwagon. They all sat down and rode in silence. Sprig takes out his fiddle and was about to play a song, until Hop Pop grabs the fiddle and smashed it into pieces. "Not proud of what happened back there, kids. Sprig was right. No one's ever gonna write a song about this old coward." Hop Pop sighed.
"Now that you smashed my fiddle to pieces." Sprig stated.
"You're not a coward Hop Pop." Andy said.
"I am Andy. This old frog couldn't even stand up to Toads." Hop Pop said. "Just like Sprig's song."
"Who cares about some dumb song. Being a hero isn't about songs and glory anyways. It's about doing the right thing." Anne said.
"Yeah like some of superheroes like Wonder Woman and Spider-Man all fought because it's the right thing. With Great Power comes great Responsibility." Andy said.
Hop Pop stops the Fwagon causing Sprig to fall down. "My frog, you two are right! This whole time I was so focused on getting a song that I lost track of what really matters. Heroes are supposed to help those in need, and I was only trying to help myself. Well, that changes now. We're going back!"
"What" Sprig questioned.
"Are you crazy?" Polly asked.
"This isn't going to end well." Lily said.
"Good call Hp." Anne replied.
"So what's the plan?" Andy asked.
"Here's the plan." Hop Pop said as he whispered his plan to the kids. Until Polly poked out of the huddle.
"Why are we whispering?!" Polly shouted.
Back in Bittyburg, The Hasselback gang are sitting in the middle of the streets. While some of the Bitties are massaging Mama Hasselback's feet.
"Keep it up, Bitties. That's good. Just keep working on Mama's toes." Mama Hasselback said as Bailey's father is carrying a bag of coins placed it in a pile of coins.
"Looks like no birthday gift this year, kids." Bailey's father said.
"Don't worry, Papa. We'll always have the gift of music." Bailey said as he took out a flute.
Judro grabs Bailey's flute and puts it in his mouth and breaks. "Whoops." Judro said.
"Serves you little runts right. If you thought things were bad before, just wait and see what we've got planned for you‐‐ What the..." Mama Hasselback looks and sees Hop Pop, Andy, and Lily standing in front of them.
Hop Pop is wearing a hat and playing a harmonica. Andy is wearing a black hat with a red bandanna around his neck, and wearing a poncho. Lily is wearing a hat on her her and a bandana around her neck.
"Ma'am." Hop Pop greeted.
"Miss us?" Andy asked coldly.
"Well, look who decided to show his frauddy old face again. Ya back for more punishment?" Mama Hasselback asked. "But with two blind followers?"
"We're here to stand up to bullies like you." Hop Pop said.
"Get 'em!" Mama Hasselback ordered the gang to attack the three. Judro charged towards Hop Pop, until Hop Pop smacks Judro with his tongue.
"Who's next?" Hop Pop asked coldly with Andy and Lily getting into a battle stance.
Talbert and Heathro charged towards the three, but Andy gives Talbert an icy uppercut to the face, while Lily gave Heathro a roundhouse kick. While Hop Pop smacks the two of them with his tongue.
"He has an iron tongue." Talbert groaned.
"That weird creature formed ice?" Ruth questioned.
"That and this!" Andy said as he threw a fireball at Ruth knocking her down.
Mama Hasselback glared at Hop Pop until a glare blinds her a bit. She sees a light shine from atop a hill and she smirks. Right when Hop Pop is about to hit Mama Hasselback with his tongue, but she dodged the tongue and grabbed a stone, then threw it at the mountain, causing Anne, Polly and Sprig fall to the ground, but Sprig lands in some cactus.
"Hop Pop the jig is up." Anne groaned.
"Run guys!" Polly shouted.
Just when Hop Pop, Andy and Lily began to run away, but they are stopped by the Hasselback gang. Mama Hasselback grabs Hop Pop. "You can those two. This one is mine." Mama Hasselback said.
"You leave Hop Pop alone!" Andy shouted as he stomps the ground and four rock pillars hits the rest of the Hasselback gang.
"How is that possible?" Mama Hasselback asked.
"I wield the rings of Amphibia." Andy said. He stomps the ground and launched a rock at Mama Hasselback causing Hop Pop to fall down.
Hop Pop gets back up and groans. "You know what, Mama? I'm through running. When you see someone that can't fight for themselves, it's your job to fight for them! Standing up to bullies like you is the right thing to‐‐" Hop Pop is interrupted when Mama Hasselback beats up Hop Pop with her tongue while everyone cringed from the beating.
Hop Pop is thrown to the ground causing the Bitties to gasp. "Hopediah!" Bailey cried out.
"Don't cry for me Bailey. I can't feel a thing." Hop Pop groaned in pain.
"No! No! No!" Bailey cried out as Mama Hasselback laughed.
"We're still standing!" Lily shouted until she noticed the Bitties growling with red eyes and sharp teeth.
"You're seeing this too right?" Andy asked.
"The Bitties are changing!" Ruth said.
"Now see here Bitties!" Mama Hasselback said. But the Bitties attacked the Hasselback gang. They watched as the Bitties beat up the Hasselback gang.
Andy looks down and sees a silver and purple ring rolls towards him. "Another ring?" Andy asked as the purple ring floated in the air and flew onto Andy's left wrist.
"Guys, we gotta go. The Bitties are going nuts!" Anne said.
"Judging how the Hasselback treated them, I don't blame them." Andy said.
"Hi, Mr. Plantar." Bailey said with his normal voice.
"Bailey! You frogs are fighting back?" Hop Pop said.
"Yep. Because of what you said." Bailey said.
"You mean standing up to bullies is the right thing to do?" Hop Pop asked.
"Uh... no. The part about how when someone can't fight for themselves, you need to fight for them. You clearly can't fight for yourself. Here's a tooth, by the way." Bailey sails he handed Hop Pop a tooth and runs back into battle.
"Ok I'm ready to go!" Lily said.
"Time to go!" Hop Pop said as the gang runs back to the Fwagon and drives off.
Andy looks at the new ring and wonders. "I thought there were only seven?" Andy wondered. "I wonder what element this one is?"
Meanwhile in the desert, the same robot from the Ruins of Despair is walking through the desert.
