Helena looked up from the television when she heard footsteps Eclipse letting out a meow when they both saw Wesker stumbling into the room. "Feeling better?" Helena asked, a faint smile on her lips when he made his way towards her. Once Helena moved over Wesker sat beside her, frowning slightly when Eclipse leaped onto his lap purring.
"I would feel better if your cat stopped using my legs as her own scratching post," Wesker complained and Helena giggled getting a raised eyebrow for her trouble. "What's so funny?"
"Eclipse isn't scratching up your pants, Albert so calm down. Besides I did say that she likes you and that's pretty interesting." Helena answered and Wesker blinked as she rested her head on his left shoulder. "How's the nose?"
"Not broken no thanks to you," Wesker replied and Helena sighed, lifting her head until she caught the hint of a smile on his lips and she rolled her eyes at him. "But thank you for asking. What are you watching?" He asked her and she looked back at the television in time to see images of the smoking mansion and she swallowed staring at it in silence until the television suddenly turned off.
Once she saw Wesker holding the remote she let out a breath, chewing her lower lip as he set the remote down on the table closest to where the couch sat. "Maybe you should avoid the news for a while. Try and distance yourself from the mansion incident." Wesker suggested and Helena raised both eyebrows at him until he gave her a slow smile. "Yes, that's what I'm calling it now." He added and Helena sighed, nodding at him before she leaned back.
Helena hadn't even realized she'd closed her eyes until she woke to find Wesker staring at her face. As soon as he noticed she was awake now and staring at him that he leaned back enough to allow her to sit, her eyes on him until he cleared his throat. "I was worried that you'd passed out, Helena," Wesker explained as Helena yawned, rubbing at her eyes before she focused on him.
"Didn't even notice I'd fallen asleep, Wesker. Must be the virus in my blood." Helena answered and Wesker chuckled, pushing back a stray strand of her fringe before Helena noticed.
"You're just lazy and you don't want to admit it." Wesker countered and Helena rolled her eyes at him, finally noting how close the former S.T.A.R.S member had his face to hers. "Anyway before you start overreacting I was just about to check your shoulder when you woke up. How does it feel?"
"Well I appreciate the concern but it doesn't really hurt. Just a slight ache." Helena admitted and Wesker frowned, reaching across before his hand lightly touched the bandage. When she flinched Wesker pulled his hand back staring at her in silence. "Sorry but it does still hurt. Like your nose right?" She asked and he nodded slightly, a faint smile on his lips.
"Except mine's not still bleeding." Wesker pointed out and Helena shifted her shoulder enough to see the blood still seeping through. "You should probably have that checked." He suggested and after a pause, Helena nodded. "If you're completely sure you trust me I can take a look at it. I promise to be very careful and not bite you again." He joked and she rolled her eyes, taking the hand he offered before he helped her from the couch.
Now sitting on the edge of the bathtub Helena waited as Wesker opened the medicine cabinet, looking inside with a frown. "How do you even find anything in here?" He grumbled and Helena grinned at him as he sorted through the disaster she called a medicine cabinet. After some more searching, he returned to her side with clean bandages, antiseptic spray, and a clean cloth.
"With a lot of effort, Wesker," Helena replied and he gave her a tiny smile, watching on as she carefully slipped off her shirt revealing her bandaged shoulder. "I'll fix it one day."
"I doubt that you will now let's see that shoulder," Wesker commented, earning himself an eye roll and a tiny smile. Helena managed not to flinch too much when Wesker sprayed her shoulder too busy staring at his face as the former S.T.A.R.S member chewed his lower lip, the look adorable she thought as he gently wrapped her shoulder. Once it was fully covered he looked up in time to find Helena smiling at him and he raised an eyebrow, making sure the bandages were firmly covering the bite he'd left before he cleared his throat and she blinked at him.
"Is there something on my face, Miss Judd?" He teased, noting with a smile that her cheeks were a very attractive shade of red once she knew she'd been caught staring at his face. "If you're done staring at me I wanted to tell you that your shoulder's bandaged and clean."
"Thanks for that, Wesker, and I wasn't staring." Helena stammered and Wesker just shrugged, clearing not believing a word as he helped her back to her feet. When he didn't release her she slowly blinked, tilting her head to one side though before she could think of an excuse Wesker leaned in planting a kiss on her mouth that left her heart pounding and her entire face red. Though this time Helena didn't mind, even leaning in when he did a second time.
