A/N: Frodo did not have the One Ring on his person when he and the others were sent back in time, meaning that he doesn't have it with him in this time. See end of chapter for more notes.

Chapter 3. SR 1341

The Time Travellers (as they called themselves when no one else was around) lived with Bilbo for ten years. Estar had noticed that they had de-aged when they were sent back. In the lead up to April of the year SR 1341, the three Hobbrids kept disappearing and unbeknownst to them, were being followed by one of the Four. Finally, said month arrived and Bilbo wanted the seven younger Hobbits to keep him company while he sat on the bench outside Bag End and smoked his pipe.

"I could do with the company." he had said. None of them dared nor wanted to argue with him. The two Farfields and Estar lagged behind. Pippin noticed and waited for them. The elder Farfield gestured for his cousins to go without him.

"Are you sure?" Bagöl asked his cousin. Rumür nodded and his younger cousins went after Frodo, Merry, Sam and Bilbo. Then he turned to Pippin.

"Yes Pippin?" he asked, an eyebrow raised.

"Why were you and your cousins lagging behind?" the Took questioned.

"You'll find out later," the Farfield said, simply "if you ask again" he added. Soon, he and Pippin had joined the others outside just in time to see a tall (compared to the Hobbits), old man with a staff. He had a tall pointed blue hat, a long grey cloak, a silver scarf over which a white beard hung down below his waist, and immense black boots. Of course, all the seven younger Hobbits recognized him as Gandalf. The other Time Travellers soon joined them. The wizard noticed and raised his bushy eyebrows questioningly at Bilbo.

"There was no mention of there being more than one." he said to himself. At the same time Estar was telling Rumür and Pip that Gandalf had already said what his name was (for reminder) and that he knew Bilbo's name. She also mentioned Bilbo recounted childhood encounters that he had had with the wizard.

"Are these visiting relatives, Bilbo?" inquired Gandalf. "If so, I don't believe I've seen them before in my life."

"I beg pardon-" Bilbo started, then seeing where the wizard's gaze was looking, hastily added "Oh, no they're not visiting and I'm pretty sure not one of them are relatives. They live with me" he finished.

"Would you mind introducing us now or later?" Gandalf asked.

"If we're introduced now," said Rumür, slowly "would you mind doing a favor for us?"

"That-that's Rumür." Bilbo stammered.

"What favor Master Rumür?" inquired the Istari again.

"Don't mention the rest of us to the others." Rumür ended.

"What others Rumür?" asked Bilbo, genuinely not knowing what Rumür was talking about.

"Introductions, Bilbo?" questioned Gandalf.

"Sorry." the older Hobbit recalled himself "Those are Bagöl," the younger Farfield waved a bit "Estar," Estar nodded "Frodo," Bilbo pointed to each of the Four in turn "Pippin, Merry and Sam." he finished. The rest of the encounter remained the same as it originally happened, with Gandalf leaving with "I shall inform the others." and Bilbo still not knowing what 'others' the wizard and Rumür were talking about. Very soon, the eight hobbits were inside Bag End, Bilbo trying to catch his breath and Gandalf placing the mark on the door.

...

Later, Bilbo and the Time Travellers had left Bag End for the Hobbiton Market. Bilbo had told the younger hobbits that he had invited Gandalf to tea. They pretended (for Bilbo's sake and sanity) that this was a new story to them. Bagöl seemed to know about Master Worrywart. He and the other Time Travellers had noticed Bilbo's paranoia about encountering Gandalf again. By all appearances, the wizard did not show up for a long time, as you're about to see.

Bilbo lead the younger Hobbits back to Bag End. They went with him without complaint, knowing who was coming.

A/N: How was that? So, Estar is intelligent to notice de-aging caused by Time Travel. Farfields know a lot of things and they have a lot of secrets (more than wizards). In a later chapter we'll find out where Estar and her cousins kept running off to in the lead up to when this chap takes place. Not using spoilers but, the reason the Hobbrids were lagging behind is related to what they've been doing for the past ten years. Chappie seemed to write itself. Please R & R.
