Chapter 10

Upon entering Mitsy's mind, I immediately tried to sense for anything abnormal, mainly mind-control things similar to what I sensed in the Milkman from the brief time I was in Boyd's mind. I didn't expect it, but I actually DID sense that her mind was being controlled by someone else!

"Who could be controlling a mind as powerful as Mitsy's? Especially since your memories say she wasn't even a psychic in your world?" Raz asked, me frowning at that and sniffing out the source... it was in front of us, which was in a dark room with mental cobwebs all over.

"Hahaha... you know who I am," the voice said, me looking into that direction with seriousness and knew I had to gain courage. Why? The voice in question belonged to a particular demon, the one who actually created Kanna!

"Naraku... I both expected this and didn't expect this at the same time," I frowned in disgust as the visage then appeared in front of me, but I quickly snuffed out that it was just one of his numerous demon puppets. And the real one was hiding behind Raz, me shooting a Psi Blast in that direction and managing to make him feel pain and illuminate the room, which I saw was in the form of a very dilapidated version of the highschool Mitsy and I went to before the incident.

"You say you expected me, but that's a lie. You never would have known it was me in control of your childhood bully," Naraku said, me frowning at him.

"I suspected something the moment I found out that Mitsy was Psychic and that she brought not just me, but also your female incarnation into this world. She never had any powers except for her good looks and smug attitude. Even if she did hate me, she'd NEVER go this far!" I said, knowing that Mitsy was in the mind, somewhere, and very close, as Naraku simply circled us in midflight. "Besides, when I learned that Kanna was here, I knew her creator couldn't be far behind. But what I don't understand is why you and her aren't dead when that was how your world finished the story," I asked, him snickering at me.

"We never died, as the timelines were reset by the Shikon Jewel, if you recall... I was still created, but banished by a stronger Kikyo and Kagome, who worked together to send me to this world, where demons don't exist... but mental constructs are ripe for demonic interference. And when I saw into the future using Kanna's mirror, I saw that someone would try to do me in. And of course, it was you and the little water hating family," Naraku said, me frowning at how he was in a monologue and not even bothering to try and attack.

"And why aren't you attacking? We got you cornered, hook line and sinker, so why aren't you going to fight back?" Jenna asked. Naraku then snickered and did something that made me shocked. He showed that, within his demonic body, he was holding someone captive. And she shrieked in fear when she saw me!

"ROSIE! HEEELPP!" shouted MITSY! And the moment that he showed her body, I then did something that I knew would make Naraku mad.

"WIND TUNNEL!" I shouted as I then proceeded to turn myself into an industrial sucking machine that people used in wind tunnels, which forced half of Mitsy to emerge from his body before he tried to pull her back in!

"DON'T YOU DARE!" Naraku shouted as I then saw something appear. The buzzing of the miasma bees, the Saimyosho!

"RAZ! PYROKINESIS ON THOSE BUGS! THEY CAN KILL US WITH A SINGLE STING!" I shouted, him, Gloria, and Jenna proceeding to set all of the bugs on fire while I then shot a couple of shots at Naraku via turning the top of the fan into a gatling gun! And after enough hits, Mitsy was finally freed from Naraku's insides and hugged close to me as Naraku hissed.

"You forget who you are dealing with, young Psychic," he frowned as I then foresaw what he was plotting. He was going to produce a miasma all throughout Mitsy's mind to kill all of us instantly! But I knew exactly what to do to prevent him from doing so. A demon's worst nightmare! I proceeded to send a deluge of Holy Water into the entirety of the mind, which, upon touching Naraku, made him shout in pain immediately as I saw the steam emerge from his head and he proceeded to melt from the water!

But Mitsy looked at me and noticed something that I knew was problematic. Conjuring regular water, that would've been easy. But the moment I tried to do anything involving holy light? That's when I got severely drained! I felt like I was ready to pass out after only 30 seconds, which is when Naraku was turning into muscles and bones as some of the demons in him had evaporated into nothingness. But then, I got encouragement from the last person I would've expected.

"PLEASE SURVIVE! IF YOU NEED STRENGTH, LET ME LEND YOU WHAT I TOOK!" shouted Kanna! And I could see that Naraku was furious at his creation empowering me, most likely with the essences that she managed to take from Mitsy! And using this, I managed to finish the deluge and turn Naraku into nothing more than ashes. Every demon that was in him was now double dead, meaning they'd never bother us ever again!

"I... feel... tired..." I said as I then fell to my knee, forcing us to exit Mitsy's mind as she gasped awake, which is when I simply laid my visage on the ground, tuckered out, but very much alive.

"Mitsy?" Oleander asked, her looking left and right before then looking at her hand.

"I... I'm back in control?... Finally... That was the worst nightmare I've ever had... but I know it's all real..." Mitsy said with tears in her eyes.

"Um... miss Mitsy? Can I be sent back to my world now? I want to be with my hubby again," Pinoko asked, Mitsy sobbing at her.

"I.. I can't..." she sobbed.

"W-What do you mean you can't?!" Pinoko asked, me holding my hand to the pint-sized 18-year-old and her then holding onto it and sighing.

"It wasn't me... it was that... damn demon... the one that brought us here... he was... summoned by... Maligula... 20 years ago..." she said with sadness, me looking at the others and seeing that Ford looked surprised at that, but not saying anything.

"Maligula? Who's that?" Sabrina asked.

"A powerful and evil Psychic... one that must remain unmentioned... if her memories are triggered again, then the world will be doomed," Ford said with seriousness.

"The old man is right... but... that demon... he's the one who had the strength to bring everyone here from other worlds... he started with me, and possessed my body and mind... for 20 years straight... I had no control of anything... I am not a Psychonaut... I can't even see into peoples' minds... it was all Naraku's fault!" Mitsy cried out loud as I then looked at her and sighed.

"I never knew... I'm sorry I ever doubted you, Mitsy..." I said, still very much tuckered out.

"How did you manage to defeat a literal demon, though? Let alone one that powerful?" Milla asked in shock.

"Holy water flood, but only after she sucked Mitsy out of the demon's influence," Raz said, which made SASHA gasp in shock.

"She made a flood of HOLY WATER in someone else's brain?! Only one Psychic has ever done something like that in the past! I believe his name was Compton Boole... wait... that's-" Sasha was about to finish before we got some visitors.

"The grandfather of Dogan Boole and one of the Psychic Six," said the voice of Lili as she appeared from the lower levels alongside the rest of the Asylum inmates and the Aquato circus kids, me looking at them and being surprised... but then, the sun started to rise in the distance. "I do believe that we have a deal to uphold, right Mister Cruller?" Lili asked, me smirking at that.

"Quite right. I will get to preparing you, Raz, and your mental mates proper Psychonaut uniforms," Ford said with a chuckle.

"Could it wait... until I get some rest?... I need sleep... too much energy... for one night..." I chuckled... before I then felt Pinoko give my form a hug, me being shocked at how I could feel her.

"Thank you... I want to learn from you when you become a Psychonaut... please?" Pinoko asked, me smirking at what happened next.

"Same here. If you could perform a trick as hard to master as a projection of holy water in someon else's mind, I know I have far too much to learn from you, master," Sabrina said as she politely bowed to me.

"I want some training too... for both psychic powers... and knowing how to be human... to not be controlled..." Kanna said with a warmness on her face that was rarely seen.

"If you ditch the mirror, then I'll train you," I smiled at her... only to see she wasn't holding it and that there was shattered glass on the ground, causing Sheegor to speak.

"Uh, before you exited the mind, the mirror just shattered into a million pieces. Mister Pokeylope? What do you think is the reason?" Sheegor asked her psychic turtle, him then speaking after.

"The demon master's defeat and death caused the mirror to be worthless and for the puppets to be freed from the strings he held her on," Poekylope explained in the same deep voice as in the game, which I could tell made Sabrina surprised.

"A turtle that can talk?" she asked.

"You know what turtles are?" Raz asked, Sabrina frowning at her and blasting him with some green psi energy, but it did nothing to him.

"I may be from a world with super-powered animals, but we DO have regular creatures, you know? You're just used to a differing interpretation," Sabrina frowned.

"Fine, sorry... ahem... how about we get off this nuthouse and back to the mainland?" Raz suggested, me sighing in relief at that.

"Leave? Here?" the patient Gloria asked in surprise.

"Yeah, this place is for crazy people! And I dunno about you, but I don't feel crazy anymore," Fred said, me smirking at that.

"Good job, Commander Lili," I smirked, her then giving me a fist-bump... and a kiss. And it made me so relaxed, I ended up going back into Raz's mind, but not before saying one thing to her.

"I love you too, Lili," I said before then falling asleep in Raz's mind for good. I needed quite the long nap after that extremely enduring fight.

...

...

The next morning, Oleander and the other teachers spoke to the kids at the summer camp and told them everything that happened. How the coach had been partially mind-controlled by the demon possessing Mitsy as well as Doctor Loboto, who we'd actually captured shortly after we found his battered body by the shoreline. How Mitsy was actually controlled by a powerful monster that had done so effortlessly for 20 years straight, which is how she became a Psychonaut elite despite never being a Pyschic at all. How we'd managed to give a much-needed therapy session to the four inmates of Thorny Towers Asylum, including Boyd, who'd been hypnotized by Oleander into a fail-safe of destroying the Asylum with an alternate persona.

And after all of the explanations were completed, the kids were left awestruck at what we'd said and then started to ask questions.

"I can see into the future as well, but only for bad outcomes... is it possible for you to teach me how to see positive ones?" Elka Doom asked, me smirking at that.

"Unfortunately, not, but I can say that, even if you do foresee a bad future, it can still be changed with proper warnings to the one you see. And if they ask why they should believe them, use telekinesis to prove you're a Psychic," I smirked, her nodding at that.

"Thanks heaps! I know what to do now, then," Elka smirked as she then went to Nils and kissed him on the lips, him being caught in a daze after. The next question was asked by Dogen.

"So, uh, is it possible for the three colorful girls to be sent back home to where they came from, or not?" Dogen asked, me looking at Pinoko, Kanna, and Sabrina and them sighing at that.

"I honestly have no clue. I may be a Psychic, but I don't think that any Psychic has ever performed multi-dimensional teleportation... but it can't hurt to test it out?" I asked as I then tried to focus on a specific creature in my world... and I gasped audibly at how I'd managed to find her! And guess what? The time had stayed the same in my world as when I left, so she was still the same age! I then found myself warping my own kitty into my grasp, which made me shocked at how I had managed to get my current cat in my arms, her purring at my touch, but still surprised at the outdoors and numerous kids around.

"Mistress? Where am I?" she asked, me smiling at her and calling her by name.

"Velma, meet my new friends," I smirked, them looking at her and waving hi as Pinoko then went to me and pulled on my side... which was easy, as she was only half my height.

"Can I ask for a different question... for my hubby to be brought here instead of back home?" she asked, me smirking at that and nodding.

"Sure I can, now that I know how to do it," I smirked as I held her hand and thought of Doctor Blackjack... and shortly after, I got the match I wanted, warping him directly next to us and him looking surprised. And the kids looked at him in either surprise or fear because of his face, which I couldn't blame them, as his big accident in the past left him with skin provided by a black kid instead of his own skin.

"Where... where am I?" he asked as Pinoko then hugged his leg and he looked around at the weird sights.

"Blackjack! I'm so happy you're here again!" Pinoko cried happily as he looked at me and I sighed.

"Could I get an explanation?" he asked.

"The short version or the long version?" Benny asked, me smirking at that genius one-liner.

"Short, please?" he asked.

"Well, for reasons that would take forever to explain in full, in short, a demon possessed my friend and warped your wife, Pinoko, to this world, where her psychic powers were much stronger than her own. And the demon planned to use her brain to power a tank to rule the world... I saved her but didn't know if I could send her home or not. So when I found I could bring things from my world here, like my kitty Velma, Pinoko asked me to bring you here. So, I did," I smirked.

"Why not bring her back home, though?"

"Because I want to learn more from miss Rosie about how to control my psychic stuff! Maybe then I can finally make it through a year of preschool," Pinoko said with a smirk, which I simply rubbed her head at. She was so cute, so naive, but brutally honest. "I heard that, but I don't care. I'm so happy," Pinoko smirked. And the next question was asked by Milka, via telepathy.

"The giant lungfish you were talking about yesterday... is it okay?" she asked, me nodding at that.

"Yes, she's okay. With help from Raz and my sister, we managed to defeat the mind control and free her. She's currently in the lake, living life with her fellow fishies," I smirked. And the final question was asked by Frazie.

"Can we stay at camp until it ends, too? I don't know if I can face my parents again after everything that happened..." Frazie said with tears of sadness... but it was then that I sensed three different people in the shrubs. And I smirked and pointed towards them.

"Come on out, guys, I can sense you without even trying," I said, the trio then emerging in the form of Augustus, Donatella, and Dion. And Frazie immediately hid behind me, unsuccessfully, when she saw them.

"Frazie... it's okay... I... I'm sorry," Donatella said, me seeing that she did look sad, but Frazie didn't buy it.

"If you were sorry, you wouldn't have hit me in the eye for being what I am. For what Mirtala and Squeepie and Raz are. For what dad is!" Frazie frowned.

"We really are truly sorry, though... we came here on foot, leaving our circus equipment behind just to find you," Dion said, me looking at his mind and seeing that, even inside he was remorseful. "I can't believe that I was so angry at them for so long... saving people effortlessly with nothing but their minds? How could I have been such an idiot?" he thought, me then sharing that thought with the trio of circus siblings and them looking at the family with seriousness.

"You promise not to yell at us for being Psychics anymore?" Mirtala asked cutely.

"Promise," Augustus said.

"And that you won't hate Psychics based on that fact alone from here on out?" Frazie asked.

"Of course," Donatella said with a smile.

"And stop calling me Baby Squeepie in the circus performances?" Squeepie asked, me smirking at that.

"We can call you Squeepie the Strongkid, if that's okay with you," Dion said, me smirking at that as the family, including Raz and me, all then had a big group hug. And who would join in other than Lili, but also Sabrina, Kanna, and Pinoko, the latter three I was shocked that they didn't get shocked!

"How are you three not getting zapped? Normally, if I'm not in someone's mind, they get shocked," I asked, Kanna smiling at me.

"Maybe because we are different than the ones in this world?..." she asked, me shrugging my shoulders... and then Boyd spoke.

"Can I possibly ask if I can get some milk and cookies? Maybe see if I can get some kind of job with you guys?" Boyd asked, me smirking at that.

"Hmm..." Sasha said as he looked into his mind and then at the other asylum people before responding. "I can sense that each of you used to have a great problem that you could only defeat with assistance from our junior Psychadets. But only two of you are Psychics, those being Fred Bonaparte and Crispin Whytehead... there are some jobs you could have back at the Motherlobe, even if you aren't Psychic," Sasha said, me smirking at that notion.

"I'd love some familiar company there, to be honest, especially in the near future," I said as I looked at Lili and saw it. Her father being in trouble... but something had changed drastically in the game. Her father had been kidnapped by both Gristol AND Naraku. They then had his mind swapped with Gristol's and hid Truman's mind at the mailroom for 'extraction'. And the one that extracted the brain? It was actually Naraku, who hid the memories deep in Mitsy's mind! "Uh-oh... I sense problems about your father, Lili," I said, her looking at me in shock.

"What?! What kind of problems?!" she asked, me knowing to not share too much, or else the next game would be harder to deal with. "His mind has been tampered by Naraku and an unknown second person... the moment we're done here, we need to head to the Motherlobe and probe the mind of Mitsy, who is the only one who could know what's up," I said, Mitsy looking at me with a sigh.

"Please, no? I don't want to face them again..." she said, me then frowning and looking into her mind with my own... and when I did so without the Psycho Portal, I actually managed to find a part of the memory in question, but it then retreated shortly after I saw it.

"Dang it! It's designed to retreat deeper when you find it... regardless, I did see one thing, and it's not pretty," I said.

"What is it?" Lili asked.

"This needs to be kept secret... but Lili's dad is being controlled by someone else, that being the mailman at the Motherlobe. And Truman's brain is going to be hidden in the same mailroom. But nobody says a word or thinks a word, especially since we need to try and get the answer out of him in another way, preferably without him finding out," I said, Milla frowning and nodding as Lili sighed.

"Please, I want you to save my daddy," Lili said with concern on her face and in her mind.

"Yes, we will. The time of the brain being sent to the mailroom is going to be in 5 days, so when it hits day 4, we need to send myself, Raz, Lili, Ford, and Sasha to the Motherlobe with our new allies from the asylum... and in the meantime I'm going to train my new friends in their Psychic powers," I said, the trio in question smiling at me and nodding, them looking ready to do so.

"We'll join you at the Motherlobe a few days after, since the camp ends in a week from now," Milla said with a smile... and it was then that I saw the Psitanium on Ford's back to lose all of its juice, which made him revert to one of his alternate personas.

"What're you kids doin' in mah kitchen? Git!" he said, me groaning and simply teleporting at least two more hunks from underground directly into his hand, him frowning after I did so. "Ah... thanks, lass," Ford said, me nodding at him. "I do believe that you deserve these, then," Ford said as he gave Raz and Lili our official Psychonaut uniforms, me smirking as I then decided to project the uniform on my body as opposed to my normal clothes, Raz and Lili then going to the cabins to change, me noticing that Nils wasn't going to spy on Lili and he still stuck close to Elka, me smirking at how he was being loyal to her now. But when we were doing so, I felt some kind of presence from high above... and when I sensed it, I knew that Chloe's wish had come true as a trio of aliens had arrived. They came down and went to Chloe, me leaving the cabin to see what would happen. The kids were surprised at the trio that looked like Chloe with no mouths and bald heads, but Chloe looked at them with tears in her eyes.

"Is it really you? Mom? Dad?... Bro?" she asked, the trio nodding and speaking.

"We've been looking for you for years, Chloe," the mother said, them then running to each other and hugging, me smirking at how cute it was and that Chloe then took her helmet off to hug them.

"Where have you been all this time?... And why was I on this planet instead of back home?" Chloe asked with tears in her eyes.

"We've been trying to find you... when you were born, Pluto was too close to this galaxy, which makes the newborns much lighter and more psychic. As a result, you floated off the planet and off to Earth when we weren't noticing... we've been trying to find you ever since," the dad said, me smirking at how he sounded like Jumba from Lilo and Stitch and he had three eyes along with the brother while the mother and Chloe had two each.

"So are we going to go home?... Or can we stay here?... I hate to say it, but I have a debt to repay to a friend," Chloe said as she looked over at me and I simply smiled.

"All I did was tell your future, and you acted upon it. It's kind of my job," I smiled at her, Chloe sniffling at me and rushing over to hug me, which was surprising as she then got shocked for the few seconds she hugged me, which she then stopped after 3 and I could see she was tingly on her skin. "Sorry, I didn't know you were going to hug me," I said, her speaking after.

"It's okay, I wanted to do it," Chloe chuckled as she then went to her family and they looked around and then back at me.

"I think we can stay around, since this place looks much prettier than Pluto does... much bigger, too," the father said, me smirking at that.

"Welcome to Earth, then."
