The War's End! (Concept for a story.)

Ruby and co. watches as Atlas struggled to hold the Grimm hordes back. Salem would be coming, and there was nothing no one could do anymore. She held stood tall while slicing down a flying Grimm, her sister by her side. Winter hadn't secured the relic, it seemed as if all hope was lost. It wouildn't be all terrible, Ruby Rose had molded herself into the warrior she always needed to be.

On this day, if fate ordained it, she'd die a warrior's death. Much like her friend Pyrrha, and much like the boy she loved. His necklace dangles from her neck. She charges, gaining speed by firing Crescent Rose behind her. She roars while bringing the scythe down on several more Grimm.

She turns around only to get blasted by an energy beam that sent her flying into a building. Yang screamed for her sister, only to get telekinetically lifted and thrown into the same building. Blake and Weiss attempted to help, only for Salem to appear in front of them. She blasts them back with a wave of gravity magic, making them smash into the building.

Jaune roared as he leapt out of hiding, stabbing her through the chest. "Just die and leave us all alone!" He screamed into Salem's face.

Salem replied by moving forward, pulling the sword from her body, and turning around to sink her claws into his chest. Jaune screams out before starting to gurgle as blood flowed from his mouth. He bit down the pain, staring right into her eyes. Staying defiant to the end, much like another blonde had done.

"Fu-ck you," he coughed before spitting in her face. "I don't…fear you…"

"That is why you'll die first, because the fools usually do." She replied coldly before throwing him down at the street near Team RWBY.

Grimm poured into the streets of Mantle, with the flying Grimm heading for Atlas. Ruby roars out causing a field of silver light to flood the area. Any flying Grimm caught in it immediately fall and shattered to pieces. She got up along with team, and then saw Jaune barely alive on the ground.

"Jaune, no!" She screamed before running toward him, only to get grabbed by gravity well formed by Salem. "Let go of me, you heartless witch!"

"You still try to save your friends, much like he did before. That foolish outworlder," She cackled while insulting him, "What a worthless sacrifice."

"He didn't die in vain," Ruby growled while struggling and activating her silver eyes. "He didn't die in vain!"

As the light vanishes, Salem just stood there, more annoyed than affected. She traces her finger along the girl's cheek, stopping her teammates from moving holding them down with shadow hands that emerged from the ground. It was all over, there was no going back from this. The only thing Ruby could do was stay deviant, give her no satisfaction.

"Does it feel good, Ruby Rose? Knowing that you killed your team, over nothing? You could've moved on, lived your lives while you still had them. Perhaps even had children, granted I would've come for you anyway, I need your eyes to activate the relics united. However, you could've watched them fall in love and bear the next generation." Salem squeezes her left hand, all of her team screamed in pain.

Monstra was above Atlas now, threatening to bring itself down on the floating city. Ruby felt hot tears fall from her eyes, she tried to kick at Salem using the same moves he had taught her. Screaming in frustration, anger, and at the overall feeling of uselessness she seethes in hate.

The Dark Goddess cups her chin, cooing at her, "What a lovely contrast. Hatred in those beautiful, blessed eyes, my oh my."

"If you expect to me beg, then go to hell!" The silver-eyed warrior shouted in Salem's face before spitting on it, making sure to hawk up the biggest loogie she could muster.

"Ruby…" Yang weakly called out to her sister, reaching for her.

Salem looks at the blonde girl before squeezing her hand specifically at her. A loud cracking noise filled the air before Yang let out a shrill scream of pure agony as audible pops could be heard. Ruby screams out her sister's name repeatedly, trying to break Salem's magical hold. Yang's lower body went limp, The Dark Queen having destroyed her spine.

Death would come, but not quickly, Yang would suffer for her earlier defiance.

"The heroes of Remnant, you've fallen at last. There will be no more heroes after you, only dead men walking in resistance to my will. For now, the world knows of me, Ruby Rose, I must conquer it to achieve my end goals. You've only prematurely increased the suffering of people." Salem admonished the girl in front of her, "And why stay so defiant? All that you care for is going to die today, some of which have already been dead for a while now."

Salem then glares at her right in the eyes, "All of this defiance coming from the brief inspirations of foolish outworlder who's own people didn't want him."

"His name," Jaune weakly replied from beneath them both, "Was fucking Naruto Uzumaki."

Salem redirected her attentions to him, "Still haven't given up your ghost yet? Tch, fools often are resilient. Took me forever kill him."

Ruby's fresh tears spilled down her eyes, "I don't believe you killed him, you had to use me to win that fight."

"True, he was the only true threat to me. Now here we are," Salem reaches for Ruby's eyes. "Now you get to rest in eternal darkness, much like that one-woman Maria before you."

Ruby recoils, but just as Salem's fingertips touches her eyelid a massive shockwave fills the air. Salem stops, looking up as a red shooting star fell from the sky. Except it stopped falling and penetrated all across Monstra in a blinding feat of speed. She couldn't believe her eyes, had they returned to simply spite her, now after all of this time?

Monstra wailed and fell to the side of Atlas, getting knocked away by the light so that it didn't impact the ship. Then that same light started falling toward them. Salem barely had time to react before it crashes down, a wave of red fire blasting her back across the city of Mantle's streets. It swirled around the impact, but strangely, none of her enemies was affected by it.

The swirling reaches a crescendo as it focuses on one point, and she sees him lay a healing hand on Jaune's chest. The wound pulsed, closing rapidly, while he took deep breaths for the first time in minutes. Ruby fell to the ground as a single red tail jetted toward Yang. She hisses as she feels her spinal column reset itself and begin to heal rapidly.

Jaune smiles brightly, "I knew it, you're still…oh Gods above."

Ruby's lower lip quivered as she looked at him, reaching toward him, "Naruto?"

He turned to face her. Black markings stretch from around his eye to his pointed ears. Red chakra swirls around him, forming nine perfectly shaped fox tails. His azure eyes had turned a blood red, foxlike, but she still reached out to him. That's when he gave her what she had been wanting to see again for nearly a year.

That bright, shiny smile, that made he think that everything was going be okay!

"You look like you need help, Ruby-chan," Naruto said softly with a smile. "Let me take it from here, Winter has the relic."

"Wait, no I can't, I'm not letting you do this alone!" She stated while getting up, staring right into his eyes. "If you do this, we do this!"

Naruto smiles at her, and then took a deep breath.

"Ruby-chan, I am not taking her and her army on alone." Naruto stated before biting his thumb. "I'm just going to make her wish she never knew me to exist."

"I'm ready, let's do this, Naruto!"

"Summoning Jutsu: Kurama!" Naruto screamed as a seal matrix appeared around them.

A massive blast of smoke filled the area, and everyone found themselves now standing hundreds of meters into the sky. Ruby's eyes widened as she realized what they were all on top of. The Nine Tails, Kurama, roared a war cry before spreading it's tails out over Mantle. People ran in fear, but the Grimm all began to swarm from land and air.

Salem was in awe of the beast, watching as it rears its head back unleashing a torrent of fire. It was if it had turned into a volcano, all airborne Grimm were ignited within seconds, falling like a meteor shower. She watches as some of her Titan Grimm attempted to engage only to get picked up by the tails of the fox, and then crushed to death.

She almost sank to her knees, watching as it defied her entire army. Then it moved, roaring a deafening roar as it charges into more of Titans, destroying them with ease. An army that took years to build, in case of a quick with overwhelming force found itself both quickly overwhelmed and defeated in war!

Naruto stayed atop Kurama, and then turns to Ruby with a soft smile. "You stay here," he grabbed her hand before kissing it. "I promise, this time, I am coming straight back."

"Hey," Yang shouted out at him, and then gave a proud smirk. "Bring your ass back to my sister, Naru!"

He nods before jumping backwards, much to everyone's surprise, he then just flew off in a trail of red light. Kurama watches where he was going, giving a loud chuckle as he felt his friends grasp at his back. He slung dozens of the supersized Grimm around, as if they were nothing more than stones to be played with.

"You are Ruby Rose," He introduced to the girl riding on top of his head. "My vessel's mate, good to finally meet you!"

Her face lit up red with the comment, making him laugh as he felt the emotional shift. The girl watches as the red shooting star that was Naruto Uzumaki flew downwards at impossible speeds!

Salem stood up, unable to react in time as Naruto slammed into her with a powerful kick that took off her head! She began to reform it, only for a single one of his punches to obliterate her entire upper body. Growling, she used the momentum of being blown back from the force to start launching spells at him. Crystal shards that could pierce any armor, beams moving at speeds of light.

Her eyes widened when Naruto merely deflected the crystals with nine energy tails that automatically came to his defense. He sidestepped the beams, not even putting in the effort for a dramatic dodge. Slowly, but surely, he closed the ground, walking with nothing but rage in his eyes. They shined like fiery stars, novas in the night.

She forms a sword made of Blackmagic, slicing at him once her body reformed. He dodges the first few, bringing up his forearm to block the next strike as he walks her down. The sword shatters on him, and much to her shock instead of punch he delivers a resounding backhand. She continues backing up, feeling fear for the very first time in eons!

"You once told me, of an old king in Vacuo, Gilgamesh. Who tried to defy fate, in his arrogance, he merely fulfilled his predestined demise." Naruto calmly told her before reaching out and grabbing her throat.

He squeezes hard, making sure not to kill her as red chakra flowed over her, disabling her powers. Totally helpless, she could deliver useless kicks, later punches. He held her there, counting down for every second that dared to ever harm Ruby and their friends! When the final second was reached, he tore her head with ease.

Holding it by the hair, he brings it up to eyelevel, "Hello…Gilgamesh."

Salem was about to say something before Naruto just threw her head through several buildings. Allowing her to reform, just in time for him to appear in front of her. Jamming his fist into her stomach, follows with two quick jabs to the face, and then knee to her chin. Each attack purely meant to make her recoil back and feel helpless. Throwing up a black substance, she realized something was inside of her, that red chakra burning her very cells.

Headbutting her right in the nose, Naruto lets her reform the Blackmagic sword before catching it and snapping it in half. Discarding the broken magic like trash as deliveries two thunderous punches to her face, he then kicks her half, sending her careening back toward where Tyrian stood. The scorpion faunus looked at his queen as she tried to reform, and then to him.

His eyes widened, "You're dead, I saw her kill you!"

"Turns out, Remnant has a knack for making people hard to kill…" Naruto monotoned in reply without emotion.

Tyrian rages, charging right at him, and stabs at him with his tail. Big mistake because Naruto proceeds to rip the tail off. He screams in anguish but only to be silenced when Naruto grabbed him by the neck. He saw in the eyes of the man, through a shared Genjutsu technique with Kurama, all the time the man ever thought about killing Ruby. Not even counting the other methods of torture that awaited her if she ever was captured by him.

He didn't give Tyrian a chance to reply, he snaps his neck with a turn of his wrist before tossing his limp body away. Salem couldn't believe it; she was losing against someone she had previous slaughtered in a fight. Yet, here he was, walking and acting like a true God on a warpath. Taking a deep breath, Naruto then roars out spreading his red chakra throughout the city. Salem felt it, watched it, as it melted away all Grimm around him.

She collapses down to her right knee, breathing hard, "What happened to make you a God?"

"I am not any kind of God, Salem." He growls at her before staring right into the woman's eyes. "I'm the demon my own world feared now, made manifest."

"You could've used these powers to bring balance to this world. You could've prepared it for its greatest golden age, and yet because of your selfishness it fell to tatters. I don't care much for your Gods, frankly I'm hoping one day I get my turn with them. I do give a damn, however, because you have caused so much suffering in this world!" Naruto grasps at his chest, screaming at her. "How could ever forget, what do you take life for?! What is the value of a life to you?! Is it just some plaything?!"

Remembering Pyrrha Nikos, Glynda Goodwitch, Ozpin, Bartholomew Port, Penny Polendina, Emerald Sustrai, and dozens of others. He raged at her. Hot tears spilled from his eyes as he condemned this witch!

"Is all of it worth countless lives, the people you took! You take lives for enjoyment, entitlement, and supposed defiance. You insult yourself, how could you ever have been human? Monster, there is no room in my heart for forgiveness for you! I will not show mercy, I will not try to lead you away from this, because you've already made your choices plain as day!" Naruto raged with righteous fury, and he began weaving hand seals.

"No more," He softly spoke finishing the last hand seal, "Uzumaki Art: Eight Trigrams Seal Formation!"

A sealing matrix appeared around Salem as Naruto tosses down stone. Another sealing matrix forms around the stone, making her eyes widen as his nine tails seized her from moving. She screams out in shock as he felt the matrix go over her body.

She looks at him, "W-what are you doing?!"

"You hate being alive in a world you can freely move about. I can't imagine the hell you'll be in for all eternity as a stone." Naruto replied before her sealing matrix around her brightened up. "Sayonara, Salem, because this is your just due."

"You can't, stop, please! I'll do whatever makes it right, I'll do whatever you wish, I'll leave the relics and Rose alone!" Salem begged but Naruto didn't entertain a moment of it. "I just want to build a new world!"

Naruto watches as a massive amount of power left Salem, her red eyes dimming. Her body fell limp as her soul, the source of her regeneration, flowed into the ornate stone. Markings appear all around it before he picked it up. All of the Grimm that had so far survived scattered, in full retreat. Taking a deep breath, he deactivated the chakra around him.

Falling to his knees, having burned most of his chakra in the assault to retake the war from her. He stuffed the stone into his pocket, watching as her body turned black and begin to flow into the winds as dust.

It was over, at long last for this world, their nightmare had ended. Sitting on the ground, taking it in. The young man took stock while listening to diminishing noises of gunfire. Their nightmare ended, but Grimm still existed in the world. Loud stumps fill his ears before he saw Kurama marching over to him. He laid into the middle of Mantle, lowering his head enough to where Ruby and co. could jump.

He went to get up, but only ended up slammed onto the ground by Ruby. She smashes herself into him, holding tightly. Yang looked at the sealing matrix on the ground, watching as it slowly started to fade away. Blake watched as Grimm that normally would attack them no matter what, just ran away.

Ruby sobbed into his shoulder, holding him close while he leans up. The blonde looked at his friends, no, family and smiled. He raised a two-finger salute, no different than he did during days of Beacon Academy. Yang looks at him, confused while shouldering Jaune.

"Where've you been at, Whiskers. You've been gone nearly a year," Yang told him before she heard a thunderous grunt come from Kurama.

"That would be my fault, Xiao-Long, me and him needed to come to an accord. I don't know how to feel about your world yet, but no one deserves that monster he just sealed away for good." Kurama took up for Naruto, looking at the blonde. "I don't know if I'll ever come to accept humanity in any shape, perhaps they'll have learned from this and stay united."

"We can only hope, Kurama. Thank you, for always being by my side, even if you were forced to do so." Naruto thanked him, giving him a sad smile. "You're fully free of your seal, per our agreement."

"I'm surprised you'll honor it, if you need me…brat…I'll heading for Menagerie." Kurama told him before getting up.

Blake shouts up to him, "Hey, where are you going to in Menagerie?"

"Somewhere I can finally find the peace I've always sought." He answers cryptically before wondering off toward the ocean.

Naruto calls out to him, smiling, "You stay outta of trouble, dattebayo!"

Kurama smiles, turning back toward Naruto with it plastered on his face, "Perhaps one day we can team up with each other again…I have to say combined we're extremely powerful."

"I don't think it's power, but we'll find out one day! Go on, quickly, before I have to debate Ironwood's stubborn ass!" Naruto shooed him but bit his lip when a hot tear went down his cheek. "Hey, by the way, I meant what I said when we first synched together!"

Kurama stops, waiting to hear his words.

"I forgive you."

No one would see it, but Kurama's watered up as well, he continued walking away. Ren and Nora came running over to them. She was pointing at Kurama and freaking out a little. Jaune watches as Naruto began to stand up, with Ruby's help. People all across Mantle began to show their faces, surrounding the teens.

The Heroes Of Remnant.

Kurama watched as blue skies waved over his little slice of paradise. Slowly, he began to feel a presence near him. He chuckled, looking down at a small boy with black spiky hair, and blue eyes. He was quickly followed by a girl, with blonde flat hair, and silver eyes. Behind them was their parents, both of them came often to visit.

"Uncle Kurama!" The boy screamed in excitement.

The girl, who was new to him, just stares up at wonder at him. Naruto, stood next to his wife Ruby, smiling as their children interacted with the Nine Tailed Fox. He stood guard, in this paradise, to the very same stone that Salem had been forever sealed in.

Perhaps, finally, with things settling down. Not only could Naruto and Ruby find each other, make life brighter, but he had begun to seek them more over the years.

After all, he was their Uncle Kurama.

End of Concept.
