In the hidden leaf village, there are many orphans, most are due to the great ninja wars, others are due to bandits, but some are just unwanted. That was what Obito's grandmother said to her when she was five, it was supposed to break her spirit but it only strengthened her will.
Obito wasn't an ordinary girl as she was headstrong, clumsy, and joyful. It was unusual for an Uchiha to be so carefree and a failure, she was known as the black sheep of the Uchiha clan.
She ignored the glares she would get from the adults, but even most children didn't want to be near her.
Hiruzen Sarutobi was the only one who defended the child when the Uchiha elders wanted her gone, he wasn't allowed to adopt an Uchiha because of the elders but he did what he could for the girl. Hiruzen enrolled her into the ninja academy at the age of seven, Hiruzen gave her the news in person, and from that day forward she wanted to become the next Hokage.
Obito struggled to make friends as no one wanted to be associated with a failure except for one, Rin Nohara noticed that an Uchiha girl had forgotten her lunch and decided to share with the girl. Obito was thankful to Rin and they ate lunch together for the next couple of years and she even made some more friends in Anko Mitarashi and Kurenai Yuhi. Obito wasn't ladylike unlike the others but that's what made Obito herself, one day a silver-haired boy joined the academy and all the girls would swoon over him especially Rin.
Obito didn't understand why Rin liked him even though she had never talked to him before, Obito felt insecure thinking that Rin would ditch her for the silver-haired boy. So Obito challenged the boy during lunch, the boy didn't understand why but he couldn't say no. Obito would try to beat him using her fireball jutsu but he would negate it with a mud wall and then trapped her with a headhunter jutsu, when the fight was over Obito yelled, "Just who do you think you are?!"
"My name is Kakashi Hatake, and girls aren't good ninjas, I think you should remember that before challenging me again." The boy said.
"Oh yeah, I'm Obito Uchiha and I'm gonna become the next Hokage, you should remember that Bakakashi."
Kakashi walked away with Obito still stuck in the ground, Obito couldn't help but find Kakashi cute.
Rin and Anko helped Obito out of the ground and Obito declared that she would prove him wrong.
Obito challenged Kakashi every day until she was twelve when she graduated from the academy. Obito was happy that she was on the same team as Rin, but her feelings were mixed with Kakashi. She hated him for being so cold and acquiescent, but she also found him attractive despite all his many flaws.
Kakashi was more of a stick in the mud than he was in the academy, Obito told Rin about her crush on Kakashi. Rin squealed at the news and she would never betray Obito so Rin buried her crush for Kakashi, she wanted nothing more than for Obito to get with Kakashi.
Minato would occasionally ask his team to come over for dinner, Rin and Obito would accept but Kakashi being himself would say no. Obito loved the food Kushina made and Kushina made Obito her favorite of Minato's genin soon to be chunin.
Team Minato was brought into the war and Kakashi had become a jounin, everyone got him a gift except for Obito. She didn't know what to get Kakashi, he was so picky and so Obito just didn't get him anything.
During the first night out Obito couldn't sleep and asked Minato about why Kakashi was the way he was, he explained the story of Sakumo Hatake. Obito was saddened by the story and understood Kakashi, but that wouldn't change how he was now.
During the mission, Minato had to leave and Rin was captured, Obito wanted to save her best friend but Kakashi was too subservient to rules.
Obito left Kakashi with thought-provoking words and followed after the ninja who captured Rin.
She awakened her Sharingan after Kakashi lost an eye-protecting her, after they saved Rin the cave started to collapse from an earthquake jutsu. Kakashi had gotten hit on the head by a rock and it slowed him down, Obito pushed him out of the way of a falling boulder and got crushed in the process.
She gave her Sharingan to Kakashi and fell unconscious, Obito woke up in a cave and saw an old woman. The old woman's white hair hid the right side of her face, but she had a visible Sharingan on her left side. She was using a scythe as a cane, Obito thought she was the grim reaper and she wasn't far from the truth.
Obito was screaming out loud "I don't want to die yet, help!" Obito tried flailing her arms around but she couldn't feel her right arm as it was crushed, the sight of no arm horrified Obito.
The old woman started to speak "You are not dead yet young Uchiha, but this reality truly is hell."
Obito stopped panicking and thanked the woman, "It is too soon to thank me, but I expect you to repay your debt to me." The old woman said.
"What do you want me to do, help you with bathroom stuff?" Obito said visibly disgusted with the thought.
The old woman was irritated with Obito's response and said "I am starting to think you were not worth saving."
Obito was happy to know she wasn't dead and wanted nothing more than to return to the hidden leaf village, and maybe tell Kakashi how she felt.
Obito started wondering who the old lady was, she knew all the elderly in the leaf village so the old lady must've been a rouge Shinobi. Obito blurted out "You must be a rogue ninja, so who are you?"
The old woman replied low "I am Madara Uchiha."
The name should send shivers down anyone's spine but not Obito, as Madara was Obito's idol, "Wait the Madara?" Obito asked.
"Indeed I am."
Obito had a million questions racing through her mind but there was one that outshone all the rest "Was it hard being a female Shinobi?"
Madara eyed her for a minute and spoke "At first, but that meant I had to work extra hard and eventually I became the strongest Shinobi."
"But the first Hokage is the strongest," Obito said.
Madara was trying hard not to hurt the child but conceded, "I was stronger than Hashirama Senju for a time, our fights would last days on end."
Obito asked, "From the books, I've read you and the first Hokage were friends, what happened?"
"We had different plans, mine was to save the world whilst he was to get married to an Uzumaki whore." Madara said bitterly.
Obito giggled "You liked him, didn't you?"
Madara was offended "We were friends nothing more, and what would a child know about liking someone?"
Obito wasn't prepared for the question and looked to the edge of her bed "I liked a boy but he wasn't interested in me."
"And what was his name, girl?"
"His name was Kakashi and I will get back to him and finally tell him how I fell."
Madara laughed "Do not trust men, they will always stab you in the back the first chance they get, and then you will be left with a broken heart."
"Kakashi would never, he's a good person," Obito argued.
"Hashirama put a sword in my back when I was not looking and how well did that end for me."
Obito couldn't help but ponder Madara's words, but Obito was still hopeful for Kakashi. "I'm going to get out of here the first chance I get, then I'll reunite with Kakashi and Rin."
"By all means, but how will you get out with only half of your body?"
Obito hadn't thought about that, "If you would like I can give you the means to have your body restored." Madara said.
She had no choice but to accept her offer and started training with a white Zetsu arm and leg.
A year went by and Obito had asked old lady Madara more than a thousand questions after her training every day, Madara was so tired of it but enjoyed having someone idolize her.
Obito would talk to the white Zetsu clones when Madara was sleeping and one of them mentioned a genjutsu where anyone dead could be brought back and there was no pain or hatred, only peace. Obito didn't think much of it as she had no reason for it.
When Madara went to sleep one-night white Zetsu had told Obito that Kakashi and Rin were being attacked by hidden mist Anbu, Obito had to go and help but she couldn't escape without help.
A white Zetsu clone named Guruguru acted like a suit of armor for Obito and she was finally able to escape, Obito was able to see through Kakashi's Sharingan as she got closer. But when Obito arrived she saw Kakashi with his Chidori through Rin's heart, Obito's Sharingan had changed into a Mangekyou.
Seeing the sight of the boy Obito loved kill her best friend filled Obito with nothing but rage, Kakashi fell unconscious and Obito consumed by rage killed all the hidden mist Anbu.
Once it was all over Obito cried over her best friend's body, she glanced over at Kakashi and she desperately wanted to kill him but she couldn't do it as she still loved him in her broken heart.
Obito returned to Madara's lair and pledged herself, Madara told Obito about how to initiate the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Madara began training Obito for everything that she would need to know to complete the infinite Tsukuyomi, Madara then disconnected herself from the Gedo statue, killing herself in the process.
Obito traveled to the village hidden in the rain, where she met An orange-haired boy named Yahiko, a blue-haired girl named Konan, and a red-haired boy named Nagato. Madara had given Nagato her Rinnegan when he was a boy. The plan was for Nagato to use the Rinnegan to revive Madara. Obito posed as Madara to strike fear into anyone that dared questioned her, it also came with the bonus of striking fear into anyone at the mention of the name.
Yahiko didn't trust Obito with what she offered, but all Obito had to do was wait for tragedy to strike, and then she would have Nagato wrapped around her finger.
Yahiko was killed by Hanzo the salamander three weeks later, and Nagato came to Obito about her plan, Nagato changed the Akatsuki's goal to capture all the tailed beasts and seal them into the Gedo statue to then destroy the Shinobi system with an even more powerful beast and allow everyone to know pain.
A year after she had unlocked her Mangekyou she captured Kushina and set the nine tails to rampage through Konoha, she had to fight Minato because he would try to prevent the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Obito could have been overconfident with her Kamui but fighting against Minato she had to be extra careful, she waited for Minato to run out of stamina when. But the second Hokage appeared to help, he was just as fast as Minato but his age was showing and Minato tried protecting him and Obito took advantage of it and sucked Minato into the Kamui dimension.
Obito had to retreat because Minato could attack her if she were to use Kamui again, she watched as Kushina sealed the nine tails back inside of her and died. Obito kept telling herself that everyone was an imposter and she needed to complete project Tsukuyomi but seeing this Kushina imposter die hurt her heart.
Obito waited three days to see if Minato was still alive, he was sleep-deprived, hungry, and thirsty.
Minato couldn't fight and Obito took him out of the Kamui dimension and put him in a chakra dampening cell in the newly created Akatsuki stronghold in the hidden rain village. Having a Hokage as a hostage is very important and someday she would use him as leverage.
The next time Obito went to the leaf village was on Kakashi's birthday, she wanted to see how he changed in five years. She had also remembered that Madara hated Tobirama and he was also Kakashi's guardian, Obito wanted to rob him of his last loved one.
Tobirama had wandered off into the forest alone, it was the perfect chance to kill him. What she wasn't expecting was he knew who she was and revealed that he was Kakashi's great grandfather. She killed Tobirama with Madara's scythe, she gave him a quick death.
On Obito's way out of the village she had come across a squad of young Uchihas, two boys and a girl, Obito killed all but one. His name was Itachi Uchiha and he was the clan leader's son, he had unlocked his Sharingan because of Obito.
Because Obito attacked the leaf village, the Uchiha were blamed. Five years after Obito killed Tobirama, the Uchiha clan was staging a coup d'etat, Shisui Uchiha was Itachi's best friend and he were tasked with stopping it.
However Tobirama's second pupil Danzo had stolen one of Shisui's mangekyou, Shisui had given Itachi his remaining mangekyou and then committed suicide. Itachi unlocked his mangekyou due to Shisui's death, he had to stop the coup d'etat and he did it the only way he could.
Itachi couldn't do it alone and asked for Obito's help, Obito never cared for her clan and agreed. Together they massacred the entire clan, the only one who survived was Itachi's little sister Sasuke. Obito asked Itachi to join the Akatsuki as an agreement, Itachi feared Obito as she went by Madara Uchiha.
The Akatsuki had ten members Pain, Konan, Itachi, Deidara, Sasori, Hidan, Kakazu, Zetsu, Orochimaru, and the newest member was Kisame. All of them were known as rogue ninja, each had their specialty and were put into groups of two.
Orochimaru left the Akatsuki after he tried stealing Itachi's body, Itachi didn't like the idea of it so he scared Orochimaru so bad he left out of fear. Obito took his spot but went under the alias Tobi, she wore an orange mask with one eyehole. Obito couldn't act the way she normally would, as Tobi, she made her voice higher pitched and acted like an innocent child.
The older Obito got the more curves she had. Deidara and Hidan started hitting on her, to their dismay she wasn't interested as she would put scorpions in their beds.
Only Pain, Konan, and Itachi knew she was pretending to be Tobi and that was the point, she wanted to be more involved in capturing the tailed beasts. The Akatsuki tried to find a way to seal the tailed beasts into the Gedo statue but all of them were incompetent, and the nine tails hadn't reincarnated yet.
The nine tails was eventually reincarnated and the hidden leaf was able to seal it into a jinchuuriki, from what Zetsu said to Obito they sealed it into Minato and Kushina's son.
Obito's birthday had come and gone many times but she wanted to just visit the leaf village this time around, her first instinct was to watch Kakashi from afar. She could see that he was growing to be more handsome than when she saw him last. She watched Kakashi visit her grave, he must've remembered her birthday as well, a part of her wanted to say something to Kakashi but this Kakashi was an imposter and that's why the infinite Tsukuyomi had to be completed.
She would receive updates on Kakashi from white Zetsu, some of it was normal but an update in particular surprised her. Kakashi had been given a team of genin, Obito also learned that one of Kakashi's genin was the nine tails jinchuuriki.
She would sometimes wait for Zetsu to record what Kakashi was doing sometimes, however, she would always watch him fight. He had been called by many names such as Kakashi of the Sharingan, the copy ninja, and friend killer Kakashi.
She watched his fight against the demon of the blood mist Zabuza Momoichi, Kakashi had used his improved version of the Chidori, the raikiri to kill someone trying to protect Zabuza. Both of Zabuza's arms were broken by Kakashi, Zabuza's boss showed up with a group of thugs, Gato had betrayed Zabuza.
One of Kakashi's genin yelled at Zabuza, his name was Naruto and he was the son of Minato and Kushina.
Naruto's words had reached Zabuza's cold heart, "You talk too much, kid... your words cut deep... deeper than any blade." Zabuza said with tears.
Zabuza asked for Naruto's kunai and Kakashi to help him with Gato's thugs, Zabuza killed Gato using a kunai with his mouth and Kakashi killed all of Gato's thugs using shadow clones. Naruto wanted to know what Zabuza was going to do now that he was free from the criminal.
"After I take Gato's money I'm going to return to the hidden mist village and overthrow Yagura, after that who knows what's in store for me," Zabuza said.
Naruto smiled at Zabuza and waved goodbye as Kakashi's team returned to the hidden leaf village, Obito noticed that one of Kakashi's genin was Itachi's little sister. The one she was forced to spare.
Obito would return every other time that something interesting would happen in the leaf village, the next event she'd heard about from Sasori's spy. Orochimaru was going to attack the leaf village with the sand village. The event was ever interesting as his attack didn't go so smoothly, when she arrived Orochimaru had trapped the third Hokage in a barrier.
Hiruzen's age was showing as they fought, they were so evenly matched that Orochimaru had to use his last resort, the reanimation jutsu.
"Summoning jutsu, reanimation, God and Goddess," Orochimaru said as two coffins rose and revealed the first Hokage and a much younger Madara Uchiha.
Hiruzen was mortified seeing the two founders of the village. Hashirama looked around confused as he knew he had died, his eyes laid upon Madara. Madara turned her attention to Orochimaru and knew that she had not been revived but reanimated, Hashirama was happy to see Madara again even if he didn't quite understand the circumstances.
"Hashirama, you were the last person I thought I would see after being brought back," Madara said mundanely.
"But I thought we were friends," Hashirama said as he fell into his depressive state. Orochimaru ordered Hashirama and Madara to fight Hiruzen, but both were able to break free from Orochimaru's control.
Hashirama looked around to understand where he was, he recognized the Hokage mountain anywhere.
"So you intend to attack the leaf," Hashirama said as he looked at Orochimaru. Even though his strength was significantly suppressed Orochimaru was terrified at the thought of fighting Hashirama, he then came up with a witty remark "Yes, and everyone knows what you do to those who attack your precious village."
Hashirama looked down regretfully while the remark had more of an effect on Madara, she was fuming with anger and changed her Sharingan to the eternal Mangekyou directing it towards Orochimaru.
Hashirama was worried that she might activate her Susanoo inside the village, but Madara had no need for it against anyone but Hashirama.
Before Orochimaru could react Madara kicked him into the barrier.
Orochimaru's plan had completely failed, and he tried to cancel the reanimation jutsu.
Madara laughed as she did the Edo Tensei signs releasing her from any castor, Hashirama looked surprised as it would be impossible for her to know the jutsu as Tobirama never finished it while she was alive, but Hashirama was fortunate enough to have seen Tobirama complete it. Hashirama did the hand signs to release himself as well.
"I am no one's pawn, and the reanimation jutsu's weakness is reanimating someone stronger than yourself," Madara said.
Orochimaru knew with both Hashirama and Madara being released from the Edo Tensei his plans were foiled and was forced to retreat. As the barrier keeping them inside was lifted Orochimaru was trying to retreat but Hiruzen chased after him, Madara desperately wanted to fight Hashirama but she still had plans and an apprentice to tend to.
Madara looked at Hashirama with disgust, Hashirama wanted to talk to Madara but she trapped Hashirama in a timed genjutsu.
Madara's genjutsu was Hashirama's fight with herself in the valley of the end, but as Madara was leaving the village Hashirama still in Madara's genjutsu cried out her name, Madara took one last glance at him as she left the village for a second time.
Hashirama was released from Madara's genjutsu after a full day, Hashirama was now in the Hokage's office and was met with Hiruzen still in his battle armor.
Hashirama looked at Hiruzen and asked, "Who are you?"
"I am Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage," Hiruzen said.
"Wow, a third!" Hashirama said in surprise.
"I was Tobirama's student during his tenure as the second Hokage," Hiruzen said.
"So Tobirama became Hokage too, but who was the man who used Edo Tensei?"
Hiruzen looked down regretfully "He was my student, but I failed him as a master."
Hashirama hadn't known the feeling of being a master but he knew what failing someone was, Hashirama was wondering what Madara would do now that she has been reanimated.
"Lord first, what's troubling you?" Hiruzen asked.
"Is it alright if I call you Saru? Cause I'm not one for formal names." Hiruzen nodded with a little chuckle, "I suppose the brothers had one thing in common." Hiruzen thought to himself.
Hashirama continued "Saru, throughout all my life I never understood women."
Hiruzen was shocked, to say the least, "Lord first? You are, or you were married, why are you bringing this up?" Hiruzen asked.
"Oh yeah, I was married to Mito. But my issues didn't start there, I'd say it started when I met Madara." Hashirama said scratching his cheek.
"Lord first, you can't mean what I think you mean. You have children!" Hiruzen said.
Hashirama was confused and nervous "But I haven't... You know umm with a woman."
Hiruzen's eyes widened, never in his life had things made more sense about Mito's children.
"So what you're saying is that Mito and Lord second had an affair?!"
"Well I never loved Mito so I don't think it qualifies as an affair, but I knew Tobi loved Mito since he struggled to keep his feelings hidden from me."
"Lord first, I think Lord second's descendants should learn of this immediately," Hiruzen said.
"Who do you have in mind?"
"His great-grandson and his granddaughter, Kakashi Hatake and Tsunade Senju."
When Madara left the village she was met by an orange masked assailant, Madara was going to attack her but the masked woman revealed her face.
"You shouldn't be here yet," Obito said.
"I should not but seeing as I am here I do not want to wait when I can do things myself," Madara replied.
Obito couldn't argue as Madara was stronger than herself and they both wanted the same thing, Obito led Madara to the Akatsuki stronghold.
When was met with Madara, Obito explained that she was Madara's pupil and that with the real Madara no one could stand in their way, well there was one thing.
Obito no longer had to wear her mask but she was still insecure about her scarred face, Madara had to help Pain with creating the sealing jutsu for the Gedo statue.
Itachi and Kisame tried to capture the nine tails jinchuuriki even though they were told not to buy Pain, this led to a fight between Itachi and Kakashi. Itachi activated his Mangekyou and tried putting Kakashi in a genjutsu but Kakashi was able to break free with his Mangekyou, both had their area of expertise, Itachi in genjutsu and Kakashi in ninjutsu. However, Itachi was nowhere near Kakashi's taijutsu.
While this fight was going on Kisame fought Kurenai and Asuma, Kisame was going to deal the killing blow to Asuma when he was stopped.
Kisame was pierced by a wood style spear, Hashirama intervened to save Asuma. Itachi ceased his fight with Kakashi and knelt before Hashirama, everyone was confused as he was a known rouge ninja and a member of the Akatsuki.
Hiruzen arrived at the scene just in time, Hiruzen stepped towards Itachi "So you've gathered some Intel I assume?"
"I have information on all the Akatsuki members and Madara Uchiha," Itachi said.
Hiruzen had to explain to everyone that Itachi was a spy and the Uchiha were going to start a coup d'etat but Itachi had to protect the leaf village.
Hashirama felt bad for the boy as he was in a similar situation, but not similar in clan genocide. "Have you seen Madara?" Hashirama asked.
"She's the one pulling the strings on the Akatsuki, she plans to seal all the tailed beasts to perform the ultimate genjutsu."
Hashirama knew that Madara was just reanimated and couldn't lead the Akatsuki while she was dead, Hiruzen explained to Itachi about Orochimaru's attack on the hidden leaf.
Itachi understood that the masked woman wasn't the real Madara, but now the question was who is under the mask. Itachi couldn't go back to the Akatsuki as Zetsu could've been watching so he had to stay in the hidden leaf, just then Itachi's little sister rushed towards him with Kakashi's technique the Chidori.
Her hand was caught by Kakashi just before she reached Itachi, "He's an ally, Sasuke." Kakashi said.
"But I vowed to kill him, I won't go back on my word," Sasuke said, voice filled with rage.
Itachi felt regret seeing the state Sasuke was in, "Sasuke, I'm sorry that you are filled with vengeance but now you have to let go of it and become stronger through bonds." Itachi said.
Sasuke looked at Itachi confused and Hiruzen said to Sasuke "Itachi killed the Uchiha clan on my orders, no one was supposed to learn of this but with the looming threat of the Akatsuki we must have every possible Ally we can get."
Three long years had gone by until the Akatsuki sent a team to capture the one tails, Deidara, Sasori, and Obito, Madara didn't trust the artistic fools with capturing the one tails and made Obito go with them. During the three years, Orochimaru had rejoined the Akatsuki but he brought two members along with him, Kabuto, Orochimaru's right hand, and Tayuya, a member of Orochimaru's sound four.
When the trio arrived at the village hidden in the sand, the fourth Kazekage, Rasa had been on a diplomatic trip to the hidden mist village. Deidara took to the skies to lure the one tails jinchuriki out of hiding.
Deidara took out half of the village before the jinchuriki confronted them, it was a red-headed boy who was no older than sixteen. He was able to control sand and Deidara was having some trouble with how he used his sand. Deidara was caught by and crushed to death by the redhead's sand, Sasori was forced to fight and during his fight with the jinchuriki, his outer shell was destroyed as he couldn't fight long-range in it.
Sasori was forced to use his strongest puppet the Third Kazekage, the puppet was able to use iron sand to combat the boy's sand. The boy was struck by the iron sand and was poisoned by it, the boy fell over in pain and Sasori carried him to a special cave where they would seal the one tails inside of the Gedo statue.
Hidan and Kakazu sent clones with thirty percent of their chakra to stop the leaf Shinobi from interfering with the sealing process, Obito paid them no mind as the one tails was all that mattered. Both Hidan and Kakazu's clones were defeated and the leaf Shinobi arrived just in time to watch as the one tails was drained from the redhead's body.
Kakashi lead a team with Sasuke, Naruto, and a pink-haired girl. Naruto was shocked by the red-haired boy's death but someone else was in more shock, Kakashi stared at the female Akatsuki member seeing her Sharingan change to the Mangekyou and he knew that his eye didn't deceive him, Obito wanted to confirm Kakashi's fear and she said.
"It's been a long time, Bakakashi."
