AN: Still cruising on this story. I've always found the battle scenes easier to write, even when I don't want to kill people off, so expect the next chapter to be posted in the not too distant future. I'm proud of this story, but it'll feel really good once I've finished it. Then I'll be able to focus on some of my other projects without feeling too bad about having been stuck on this story for so long. As always, thanks to everyone for your support, and leave me a review to let me know what you think.

Chapter 19

"Let's do this, love," Alicia whispered comfortingly and Jason leaned in and kissed her.

"Let's earn our freedom," Jason replied, and the two of them put their Shadow Robes hoods over their heads.

The two of them disapparated to the staging ground, finding Greyback and roughly fifty of his werewolves waiting for them

"Finally," Greyback rasped, an eager look on his face. "My people are ready."

"Let's go," Jason said solemnly, hoping that today's raids went well.

Greyback grinned nastily and as a group they disapparated, appearing nearly a mile away from where the Death Eaters were camped. The Death Eaters had unfortunately learned since the previous ambushes and now had roving patrols and had set up barricades and other protected areas from which they could defend themselves. In the Quick Reaction Force (QRF), there were one hundred Death Eaters, half of whom worked during the day, and the other half who covered nights, however all slept in the area that they were based, so Greyback and his fifty werewolves and Jason and Alicia needed to kill as many of the day shift Death Eaters as quickly as they could, lest they be overwhelmed as the night shift Death Eaters awoke and reacted to help.

Alicia changed into her Falcon form and took to the skies, while Jason changed into his wolf form. Jason followed the direction that Alicia was initially taking, knowing that she was leading him to one of the roving patrols and then she immediately banked a different direction, which Greyback and his followers started moving towards.

Jason ran fast, rather enjoying letting some of his excess energy out. Roughly a half mile of running occurred before he was able to smell the roving patrol that Alicia had pointed him towards. From multiple recon missions, they knew that there were eight roving patrols of roughly five Death Eaters each that patrolled roughly a quarter mile away from the QRF, and one hundred dementors spread out about the perimeter. There were magical traps set up between the patrols and the actual fortified position that they had built and the patrols reported in every ten minutes, not including that the patrols generally overlapped each other every fifteen minutes. That meant, if they timed it right and moved swiftly, they had fifteen minutes max to wipe out a patrol, clear the traps from their area and move in to start the attack on the central site before the Death Eaters started reacting.

Alicia had pointed them in the directions to head. Jason would start wiping out patrols and dementors in the south and west from where they were coming while Alicia would help Greyback wipe out another patrol and then start clearing magical traps so that they could get in and start the attack within the window.

Jason moved almost the last quarter of the mile before he slowed down and started moving quietly, doing his best to remain hidden in the tall grass in the area as he approached the first patrol. He got closer, staying low and turned back to his human form, wandlessly concealing himself from Sensing and then turning himself invisible. He checked his watch and timer and knew that it would be roughly thirty more seconds before the Death Eaters sent off their timed check in, so he patiently waited, crawling closer, following the patrol, staying low even though he trusted in his invisibility charm. He glanced at his watch again . . . five . . . four . . . three . . . two . . . one.

Jason watched a set of green sparks get thrown into the sky . . . the all clear signal. He Shadow Traveled right to them, appearing behind them, his feet on the gravel causing them to pause, but it was too late as he silently launched two piercing curses into the lead men's heads and then swung his sword decapitating the two closest to him. The fifth man stumbled back in shock, which was the last thing he did as Jason hit him with a silencing charm and severed his wand arm causing the man to let out a silent scream. Jason put him out of his misery and then moved in the direction opposite the patrol was heading, knowing he'd run into another patrol. If all went as planned, he'd hit that patrol, Shadow Travel back to the group he'd already hit, and then have a short journey to hit a group that moved counter to the two groups he'll have hit, allowing him to take out three groups while Alicia took out a fourth and started clearing traps. Twenty of the forty Death Eaters on patrol would be gone before anyone had noticed. He'd then Shadow Travel to Alicia and the werewolves and either join the attack in the center, or help remove the remaining obstacles and then start the attack. The goal was to hit the sleeping Death Eaters and light group in the center before the patrols realized something was wrong and had to take the time to come back to the center through the open pathways not filled with traps.

He moved quickly in his wolf form, running swiftly for nearly five minutes before he slowed, smelling the patrol and then quickly shifting back to his human form and cloaked himself once again. He continued to move quicker than arguably prudent, but he was still moving quite quietly and once he could see exactly where the Death Eaters were, he repeated his methods of attack from the first patrol, wiping them out just as easily as the first patrol. He quickly Shadow Traveled back to where he'd left the bodies of the first group only to feel a sense of grim dismay seeing the third patrol he was supposed to hit having gotten there early. One Death Eater sent up the warning signal as Jason launched an explosive curse into the center of the group scattering them. He quickly moved forward to finish them off and all he could do was hope that Alicia had managed to start the attack before that signal had been sent.

Alicia was dealing with the last set of magical traps when Greyback growled beside her.

"Either Witcher botched it or our luck ran out," he spat, and Alicia glanced up to see a patrol had indeed sent up a warning signal.

"So much for subtlety," Alicia said before she charged up her magical power and blasted through the remaining traps with pure force, clearing revealing their presence but at least allowing the werewolves to charge forward and start firing spells into the fortified position below that the few non patrolling Death Eaters were now taking cover behind and yelling for their night shift brethren to awaken.

Alicia watched as five of the lead werewolves were cut down by spells as they charged forward before the werewolves started raining down spellfire on the Death Eaters, causing many of them to shrink behind their cover. Alicia watched as the temporary barracks/sleep area started dumping out Death Eaters, many clearly still in their sleepwear, and definitely bleary eyed, but all eager to get out and fight.

Alicia pointed her wand at the doorway and quickly unleashed an explosive blast that engulfed three Death Eaters exiting the area and then she enhanced the flames so they remained, blocking the night shift Death Eaters into the building from that direction until they dealt with the flames.

Greyback and his wolves specialized in cutting and piercing curses and blasting curses, so his group was effortless keeping the Death Eaters diving behind their cover only for their cover to be blasted into them, but after a few minutes, the fight was starting to even out as the patrols started joining the fight and the night shift poured out of different entrances and went around or dealt with Alicia's flames and poured out of the original doorway.

Now the fight was really on.

Harry used a shield to absorb three blasting curses sent his way before Ginny retaliated with a set of conjured knives taking out two Death Eaters. He grinned grimly at her as Ron and Hermione took down a trio of Death Eaters not far from them.

The attack on Diagon Alley was going about as well as they could hope for. Thirty of the Order members had infiltrated the Alley, appearing to be shoppers or Death Eater supporters. Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione and the remaining Order members, which included James, Lily, Remus, Tonks, Albus, McGonagall, Marlene, Maddy, Rebecca, and the Weasleys, quickly entered the Leaky Cauldron and took out the Death Eaters in the pub. They then moved to the entrance of Diagon Alley and started assaulting through the entrance. Once the Death Eaters had started reacting to the attack, the disguised Order members had reacted and started taking out Death Eaters by hitting them in their sides and backs, but after the initial push, the fight in the alley had dissolved into a chaotic fight with no clear lines.

Harry, Ginny, and Albus had been quick to wipe out the Dementors while the disguised Order members were making their move, which had only disheartened the Death Eaters at the loss of that support. Albus was now taking control of the fight in the alley while the four Dimension Travelers were fighting their way to Gringotts entrance.

"Alright, love, let's get in there," Ginny said, and Harry nodded, flinging a lightning bolt at another Death Eater, knowing that the Order firmly had this battle in order until reinforcements arrived. The assault and surprise attack had done a good job of decimating many of the Death Eaters and Dark Arts supporters within the Alley.

Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione rushed towards the bank doors, which were now unguarded, the Death Eater guards having already been defeated and moved into the bank. They were prepared to call for aid if needed, but Harry had high hopes that the goblins would be helpful.

Entering the bank, they found the goblin tellers hadn't even bothered to move, remaining at their stations while the few witches or wizards in the room were all cowering, and immediately dropped their wands upon seeing the quartet. Taking them out of the equation, the four of them quickly bound the witches and wizards and used a spell to move them out of the way of any possible conflict.

"We'd like to speak to the bank's manager," Harry said clearly to the bank tellers who all scowled at him.

"I'm here," a voice answered and from the back poured in dozens of goblin warriors that parted revealing a strong looking, regal-looking goblin. "You are very brave, and yet very foolish to invade this bank."

"We don't want to fight the goblin race," Harry responded. "We're here because what we need to end the war is currently in the Lestrange vault. Without it, we cannot kill the Dark Lord and end this war. We are hoping to negotiate with you to allow us to retrieve the item or have your own personnel retrieve it for us so that we aren't even breaking into the vault, and are willing to trade or pay whatever you might wish in exchange."

The lead goblin scowled. "What makes you think there is anything that you could offer to make us betray our honor and pride?"

"Because what you're protecting is not what you signed up for," Harry responded tensely, knowing they were on a thin line. "The item in question was stolen, and was perverted with dark magic. It needs to be destroyed if the Dark Lord is to be killed. He's not compensating you to protect him, nor to hold stolen items. Not only is he not compensating you, your bank's authority has waned and more goblins have died under his rule than any time except the Goblin Wars, and the Goblin Nation isn't at war. Now though, it's time for the Goblin Nation to stand with the Witch and Wizard resistances to help defeat the regime to not only secure your lives and autonomy but to earn the respect, gratitude, and perhaps even equality of those who will take control."

The goblin's scowl faded somewhat. "Strong words and strong arguments. You are correct that we hold no allegiance to the Dark Lord, and in fact despise him. He has only caused pain to my race and our organization. He must go in order to ensure the survival of the Goblin Nation. Your arguments hold sway. No agreement was made to protect stolen items nor a horcrux."

Harry, Ron, Ginny, and Hermione exchanged startled looks, surprised by the Goblin's knowledge.

"As such, we will remand it to whomever we wish for whatever price we deem fit. The price I negotiate from you," the goblin said with a vicious grin, "is the death of the Dark Lord and the death of two Death Eaters for every goblin killed under this regime. The deaths can be in combat or after trial, but we will receive our pound of flesh."

Harry glanced at his companions, knowing he didn't really have the authority to make that deal, however, he felt that there would be enough dead Death Eaters in this war to equal the goblin's losses, and it was likely the new Ministries of the world would not be any kinder, so he didn't feel like they were making a deal that wouldn't be kept. Besides, they needed this. After Voldemort's death, it would be up to the survivors of this world to figure out what they would do.

"Agreed," Harry said, sealing the deal for a world he didn't even belong to, knowing that it would mean war once again if the Ministry didn't keep his word.

The goblin nodded in approval and then reached into his robes and pulled out Hufflepuff's Cup, further surprising Harry. The Goblins knew much more than he'd suspected. Perhaps that's why they hadn't been quite as cruel in Harry's own world after the break in.

Harry could Sense the horcrux from here, and was ready to conjure fiendfyre to finish it off when the goblin conjured some version of a cursed fire himself with his hand and destroyed the cup.

"Now we have dealt a blow to the Dark Lord he will not be able to forget," the goblin said with a grin.

Harry smiled, pulling his Shadow Robes hoods off his head.

"Gather your warriors, we're going to regroup with the rest of our forces and attack Hogwarts. It's time for the Dark Lord to die!"

**HP**

Alicia swore as suddenly ten Death Eaters came from behind them, firing a volley of curses that struck down at least six werewolves. She turned to deal with them when Jason suddenly appeared out of Shadow behind them and started efficiently cutting them down with a mixture of spells and his blade. The ten Death Eaters hadn't expected to be hit from behind, since they'd obviously flanked the werewolves and thus were quickly cut down.

"They're at their breaking point!" Jason yelled towards her and Greyback. "Assault forward and end this!"

Greyback snarled, not needin to be told twice, having been angry that his werewolves had been thwarted from charging and getting close, but if the Death Eaters had been trying to hold on while some of them flanked, then they didn't have the numbers anymore to stop the werewolves.

"Get em!" Greyback ordered with a savage growl and the wolves surged forward.

Alicia watched as four Death Eaters immediately stood up to run away but were quickly cut down by a volley of cutting curses as the werewolves entered their wheelhouse. Alicia watched two werewolves dodge a volley of blasting curses from three Death Eaters, using their superior speed to approach quickly and cause the Death Eaters to falter. The two closed in and brought one down with a two cutting curses before dodging another set of curses and then having got close enough, started cutting the two remaining Death Eaters down with daggers before both wolves, clearly among Greyback's favorites, ripped out each Death Eater's throat with their teeth.

Alicia grimaced in disgust, sensing the same emotion from her husband, but they both soldiered on and Shadow Traveled up to where some of the few remaining Death Eaters had sequestered themselves, appearing in between their semicircle and quickly eradicating them.

"Bah, I lost nearly half of my people," Greyback growled out angrily, approaching Alicia and Jason. "This better have been worth it.

"It will be," Jason said firmly. "You lost less than twenty-five people, certainly no number to scoff at. They lost a hundred Death Eaters and a hundred Dementors. Much greater loss on their part, and now we don't have to worry about them getting in the way when we go for Riddle."

"Let's get to the staging ground," Alicia said firmly, heading off any further discussion. "Most of the attacks will probably be done. We can take stock, update plans as needed and take the fight to Him. We're not done quite yet."

**HP**

Harry was honestly amazed and yet dismayed by the numbers that were showing up to the staging area before they'd assault Hogwarts. On one hand, things seemed to have improved for far more than they started the morning's raids with were showing up, meaning that their actions had recruited others to come for the final battle. On the downside, this meant that it was far more likely that Voldemort and his Death Eaters knew about the impending attack and had also padded their forces with those most likely to lose everything should the Dark Lord fall, even if they weren't Death Eaters themselves. This was going to turn into a large battle, the likes of which Harry hadn't seen since his own Battle of Hogwarts. Unfortunately, then he was on the defense.

They were still getting counts of those lost, but at this rate, they'd need to revamp nearly all their plans of attack, since they now had the numbers to assault in a number of ways. Harry sighed with relief as the last raid team they were waiting on apparated into the site, Jason and Alicia leading them.

Jason and Alicia both looked around in minor surprise, seeing the almost nine hundred beings by Harry's rough estimation. The goblins had brought a force of three hundred. Rough estimations showed that the Order had been cut down from just over ninety to somewhere around seventy. Ileana's people had lost a dozen of their fighters, but the American Hitwizard, Langston Brown, had brought in two hundred of his American fighters to assist in the final confrontation, since "it seemed like a lot of fun". The werewolves had lost nearly half their numbers, leaving them with roughly eighty, and none of Harry's friends or family had taken any major injuries, so all nineteen of them were still ready to go. However, nearly four hundred more wands, in addition to the Americans, could be added since that's how many shopkeepers, family members, Ministry workers and Hogsmeade residents had been recruited or read the signs and answered the call, coming forth to be brought to the staging area by various means.

As large a force as that was, it did worry Harry. Originally, the Death Eaters had roughly three hundred living within the castle, which were the numbers before Snape poisoned them. With the addition of the goblins, Harry's forces should have been enough to overwhelm the Death Eaters, especially when factoring in Harry's intimate knowledge of the castle, however if they had recruited wands, it was very likely that Voldemort had Ministry people augmenting his forces as well. That was a very large assumption that Harry did not enjoy leaving unsolved, but unless they chose to postpone. they had no choice but to press forward.

Harry glanced at Ron, Hermione, Jason, Alicia, Isabelle, and his wife as they gathered around him. The key members of the original horcrux hunt. They all nodded grimly at him and he sighed before nodding back resignedly.

Jason conjured a table and a map of the Hogwarts grounds with their original plans outlined on. While some of their plans could still be used or only required a slight change, they now had much greater opportunities and thus needed to change their plans.

"Ragnok and his goblins are perfect for going through the four secret passageways from Hogsmeade into the castle," Jason muttered. "They'll have the curse breaking and construction knowledge to get through, and their weaponry won't put them at a disadvantage once they get into the castle and likely run into the suits of armor fighting against us."

"Agreed," Ron said. "We'll augment them with wands, but they'd be wasted out on the grounds."

"Do not underestimate us, wizard," Ragnok growled, approaching them. "We've fought and defeated wizards in open combat in open areas before."

"We know," Jason said, placatingly, "but you have a far greater advantage the closer you are, since most wizards, especially these days, are not as versed in physical combat. Getting you into the castle provides the greatest chance of you taking less casualties and doing the most damage."

Ragnok eyed him shrewdly and then nodded in agreement.

"We have numbers now, and having seen how this has gone from the other side, I think we can all agree, we need to swarm them and overwhelm their defenses as quickly as possible. if we can get the fight in the castle, we'll control the fight," Ron said, and many of the people who'd started gathering around nodded.

"We need brooms then," Ron said. "If possible, try to get twenty five brooms for witches and wizards to fly to each of the five towers: Ravenclaw, Astronomy, Divination, Gryffindor, and the Owelry. I want twenty five brooms per tower.

"We'll get on that," Kingsley said, and he immediately walked away to gather helpers and volunteers to gather that many broomsticks.

"The goblins will split into four groups, along with fifty wands per battle group and go through the four Hogsmeade/castle passageways: Gregory the Smarmy, One-Eyed Witch, the fourth floor Mirror, and the West Well," Ron continued. "The werewolves along with twenty more wands will circle around the wards and come through the relatively unguarded Forbidden Forest. Your experience surviving in the wilderness will give you a distinct advantage on staying hidden," Ron told Greyback. "The last three battle groups will go through the Hogsmeade to Hogwarts grounds tunnels. We'll split the rest evenly for those groups."

"Splitting troops is the easy part," Jason said grimly. "We need to decide how we're going to split our best fighters and who's going to lead which group."

"We need to spread out our fighters most capable of handling Riddle and his top fighters both," Alicia said. "The issue is that would mean splitting up certain pairs that are stronger together."

"You mean like you and your husband," Crouch sneered. "What? Can't be away from him for a battle?"

"We're going into possibly the largest single battle that's been seen in England in hundreds of years," Alicia replied sharply. "We're attacking one of the most magical sites in the country, a site that has plenty of magical protections that will be used against us. We could use all the advantages we can get, which doesn't just apply to me and Jason, but yes he and I work better together than we do apart, and together we stand a much better chance of taking on opponents like Riddle, Regulus, your son, and Jason's dark counterpart."

"As much as I hate to do it," Harry said with an unhappy sigh, glancing at Ginny, "I think we need to split up our best fighters, regardless. If we can completely take the grounds and move all of our forces into the castle, we'll be able to possibly regroup or reorganize while taking the castle. We can't afford any battle group to get stalled or defeated due to being overwhelmed by forces or some of Riddle's most powerful servants."

"The way I see it then, we have roughly thirteen witches and wizards who have the knowledge and skill to defeat or at least keep up Riddle and his best fighters," Jason said. "Albus, Gellert, Kingsley, Ileana, Langston, Mad-Eye, Minerva, Harry, Ginny, Alicia, Izzy, James, and myself."

The people mentioned for the most part nodded in agreement, though Harry knew some of those named had reservations on their ability to survive a duel with Voldemort.

"We should put fighters who have experience with curse breaking with the teams going with the goblins," Isabelle said. "The goblins should be more than capable of handling whatever the Death Eaters might have used, but you never know when they might have used something that the goblins haven't seen. It's one of the main reasons that Gringotts used to hire human curse breakers, afterall," Isabelle pointed out, her final words slightly appeasing the goblins present.

"Yes, but if we truly want to put one of our best fighters with each group, we also need to factor in which of those are good flyers," Ginny pointed out, before smiling a bit at the older members of their group. "Forgive me, but I don't think Minerva, Mad-Eye, Gellert, or Albus should be among the groups going in by broom."

Albus chuckled and nodded. "That is probably true," he conceded.

"James, Ginny, Alicia, and Harry are probably our four best flyers," Jason said before looking at Ileana. "I seem to remember you being a decent flyer as well, correct?"

She nodded with a smile.

"Okay, then us five will go in by broom," Harry said.

"I will go with the werewolves," Gellert said. "I have no issues working with them, having done so in my past."

The reference to his time as a Dark Lord made many in the group bristle, but they let it go, knowing they didn't have time to worry.

"Izzy, Langston, Kingsley, and Minerva will go through the passages," Jason said after a moment, "which leaves myself, Mad-Eye, and Albus for the other three ground battle groups."

"I see no issues with that split," Albus said in agreement, and various grunts around the room showed agreement.

"Alright, we'll split the rest of the leadership and our most experienced fighters evenly among each group," Harry said. "Start getting prepared to leave. We'll hand out final assignments in the next fifteen minutes."

People started returning to their friends, family, and colleagues to start disseminating the plan. Harry wasn't surprised to see none of his family or friends moved very far, though he was a bit surprised when Fred and George approached.

"As much as it's crazy to say . . ." Fred began.

"What with us almost dying last time . . ." George continued.

" . . . but we believe that you should assign us each to one of the passageway groups," Fred continued.

"Our knowledge of the Hogwarts passageways is too useful for us to not be apart of those groups," George finished.

Harry frowned, not disagreeing with them, but also not stoked to assign his brothers to the same positions they'd had in their battle, an assignment that had almost killed them. Now they'd be doing it from the opposing side, and that didn't make him feel better.

"You both, along with your spouses would be very useful in the tower groups," Harry offered up. "All four of you are quite brilliant on a broom."

"That's true," Fred conceded, "and Angelina and Jamie should be assigned to those groups . . ."

". . . but we're better in the passages," George finished sadly, both Angelina and Jamie nodding sadly in agreement.

Harry sighed and then nodded, knowing they were right. "Very well, I'll send you, Fred, with Minerva's group. George, you go with Langston. Angelina, you'll be Ileana. Jamie, you'll go with James."

Harry, with Ron, Jason, Neville, Katie, Albus, Mad-Eye, Alicia, and Amelia's help quickly assigned the rest of the original Order and Harry's family and friends to the various groups, pretty much splitting their best fighters evenly across all groups with only Isabelle's group being one short in comparison to the others, but considering the two with her were her mother and her girlfriend, Harry was sure she would be fine.

After briefing the assignments, and having the plan and assignments disseminated, Harry, Jason, Alicia, and Albus quickly made enough portkeys to transport their group over to Hogsmeade, where they would arrive after a group went and cleared it of Death Eaters beforehand.

"Alright, I think that covers it," Jason said, finishing off the last portkey. "I'll take a group and we'll go see if the Death Eaters have moved anyone into Hogsmeade since it was attacked this morning. Likely, the Death Eaters have all pulled back to the castle, so this should be quick.

Harry nodded and then started mobilizing everyone. They were ready for the assault on Hogwarts.

"What did you say?" Voldemort demanded, fear and raging coursing through him.

"I said, Snape was a traitor," Jason Lestrange responded firmly. "He killed Nagini, and obviously was the one who poisoned this morning's breakfast."

"Where is he?" Voldemort asked coldly.

"He died, my lord," Lestrange responded. "He couldn't hold up under the methods I used to question him."

"He should have been brought to me immediately!" Voldemort spat, his wand arm twitching, though in the back of his mind, he knew he had to be careful. Lestrange was one of his most powerful subjects, and was not to be tested lightly.

"My lord, Snape's actions show that the rebels are making their move, and it was imperative I found out as much as I could as quickly as I could in order to properly prepare your forces, and find out the rebels plans, Lestrange responded, and despite his anger, Voldemort couldn't disagree with the thought. It was too independent for his liking, but around the world, his empire was crumbling and he needed his subjects to do what they could to fix the mounting rebellion.

In the end he knew he'd kill the leaders of these movements, and thus crush the rebel's spirits, but afterwards, it was going to take time for his forces to retake what had been lost, especially with his reduced numbers. They'd need to conscript and he'd need people like Lestrange to help with that.

Still, Voldemort was furious.

"What did you learn from him?" Voldemort spat.

"The resistance will be attacking on multiple fronts and they will be attacking this castle today," Lestrange responded. "His job was to poison breakfast, kill Nagini, and get out."

"He was tasked with killing Nagini specifically?" Voldemort demanded, fear starting to overwhelm his rage, knowing that his greatest secret might be known. Nagini's death marked the destruction of two of his horcruxes.

"Yes, my lord, though Snape did not know why," Lestrange responded blankly, and Voldemort had to wonder if the man knew more than he let on, but nothing short of a full legilimens attack would get through, and even then, he'd have to duel and capture Lestrange to attack long enough to get in.

It didn't matter. He needed to know if he was still safe. He looked over at Regulus Black, his most trusted servant.

"Get everybody on high alert, and activate the castle's defenses," Voldemort ordered him. "Call in all of our forces. Every last one of them."

"Yes, my lord," Black responded with a nod.

Not wasting anymore time on his servants, Voldemort walked out of the Great Hall, where many of his followers were still trying to remove bodies or find antidotes for those still alive. The Room of Requirement would be the first place he checked. He needed to know how much these people knew and then he needed to find them and kill them to make sure nobody else figured it out.
