Acejinjo- Hello! Glad you're enjoying this! Yes, his new name will be used only by his family, and I won't hint on anything yet, but this adds on to larger affairs in the story! Love how you're catching on to Littlefoot's misunderstandings! Also I do agree on that cliche part, I nearly cringed while writing it, but I needed an excuse for Ruby to rethink on telling Littlefoot her feelings, which is what she was about to do. And glad you're enjoying Chomper in this chapter, he's the best boy ever!

Lillie- (what a sweet name!) haha! Can't say she's trying to be racist, but she's certainly being a pest! But for good reason, which you'll find out in this chapter!

AllegroGiocoso- hello fwend! I'm really trying to exaggerate the fact that Littlefoot and his Grandparents have different goals in mind, and I'm glad you figured it out! Love that you're enjoying these Ruby and Littlefoot moments! It is indeed nice to see them interact! And yes, I'm trying to construct the plot just right, so we'll be seeing Cera's perspective on all this!

Italics represent thoughts (like so)

Cera barely dodged the rock as it soared past her and through her opposser's goal. Ducky and Spike shouted accusingly at their threehorn friend as the other team cheered for their victory, Ali and Ruby however scowled at Cera before another round could be confirmed. Cera bit her lip with frustration. If she hadn't been distracted by her dad's stupid rebuke, her team wouldn't be losing.

Shorty's triumphant howling didn't ease her mind however. "Hah! Now wasn't there something you said about flatheads who don't know how to score a point?"

Cera gritted her teeth. "Shorty, I swear. I will come over there and stab you!"

Everyone snickered at Shorty's repentful look as he amusingly cowered to the ground.

"That is it! I demand a rematch!" Ducky shrieked, her squeaky voice cracked with passionate rage.

Littlefoot assembled with his team. He let out a humorous chuckle. "Wow, Ducky, never thought you could be so competitive."

The swimmer simply shrugged with recognition, which then alternated into an apologetic expression. "Oh, sorry."

Littlefoot nodded to assure her. "Alright then. It's five to zero!" He announced as Spike flung the rock towards him with his tail. "We'll go through another round to see if you guys can make it before lunch." He joked. He waited until everyone gave the confirmation to serve the rock in the air, and then shot it across the field.

Cera licked her lips with concentration. Alright Cera, don't screw up now… She wasn't going to let her constraintive thoughts distract her this time. No way was she going to lose.

Ali was on the other side of the field with the rock between her teeth. She dared a quick glance behind her and dreaded at the sight of Chomper's massive form thundering toward her. In desperation to not get trampled, she unclenched the rock and swung her tail to send it soaring across the sky.

Her adversaries followed the rock as it glided towards Cera. The young threehorn prepared her tail to lash at it, but when it met impact she winced at its tough surface. Since pine cones were no longer big enough for suitable play, they used a medium sized rock instead.

The rock aimed towards their goal, promising Cera's team their first point. Just then a pair of talons stretched out and scooped the stone out of the air.

"Cheater!" Cera hissed as Petrie threw the rock to Littlefoot.

"How me cheater? Me just playing the game!." Petrie shrieked, clearly offended.

Cera grumbled and raced after Littlefoot, who noticed her approach and frantically tossed the stone out of her range. She sped after it, only to sneer in fury as Shorty skidded to a halt and gave the stone a hard whack which sent it flying over her head and between the trees that marked their goal.

"Alright!" Chomper cheered while waving his arms excitedly. "Make that six to zero!"

A boiling bubble of aggravation and annoyance churned in Cera's stomach. It traveled up her chest and burst out of her throat in a fit of anguish.

Everyone instantly stood still and grimaced at her deafening scream. When she had finished, everyone stared at her with confusion and concern.

"Cera… what's wrong?" Littlefoot's hesitant expression implied the slight fear he had in asking.

The smoking threehorn turned tail and stomped off, spewing mindless gibberish as she went.

"Aw what, don't rage quit on us!-" Shorty barely got the chance to finish his teasing jab before everyone gave him a look that said, 'Please shut up.'

"Peh! I can't believe those guys! They act like they're better than me and yet I'm doing them a favor!" Cera spat with indignation as she stormed through the valley aimlessly. "If it wasn't for me, I bet they'd all be spending nights in the mysterious beyond by now!" She continued to vent until she nearly collided with a tree.

With bitter anger, Cera slashed the trunk with her piercing horns, scoring shallow but long gashes on the bark. She repeated this action until she slowed with exhaustion. By now the bark was splintered away, revealing the tree's inner layer.

Cera slumped to the ground, This isn't right… No matter how angry she was, it wasn't fair to relieve her contribution from her father onto her friends. That's when she took last night's conversation into remembrance…

Last night

When Cera had reached her sleeping area, Mr. Threehorn was waiting for her. She let out a groan. Here we go…

"Anything new happening?" He said expectedly, with a slightly calm voice.

Cera knew what he was up to. She restrained from giving a snarky response. "I just spent the day with my friends." She didn't want to lie to her father, but she also didn't want to violate her loyalty with her friends, so she chose her words carefully.

Mr Threehorn pushed on however. "Anything I need to know about?" His tone was uncomfortably shallow.

Cera was beginning to get annoyed. "What more do you need to know? You want me to tell you the different colors of treestars I ate today?"

"Don't think that I'm too old to notice what's going on in the valley." Her father growled, his eyes narrowed.

Cera bit her tongue with frustration. Crap, he knows about Petrie and Ducky… Noticing her father's cold stare, she decided it was best to stay neutral during this conversation. She then gave him a skeptical look, as if she didn't know what he was talking about.

This however, didn't phase the old and menacing glare that loomed over her. His eyes were like two endless black orbs that burned a hole in Cera's forehead. She was beginning to relinquish her defending stance.

Just when Cera was on the verge of giving up, Mr threehorn retreated his cold stare. "I know you wouldn't hide anything from me, would you?" He questioned her with a knowing tone.

Cera sat there silently, she opened her mouth to object, but Mr. threehorn continued on.

"So if something's really not right, I know you'll tell me." He paused to look into her eyes. "Am I right?"

Cera gulped. Is she willing to risk her father's trust in order to protect her friends? She sighed, it would certainly be easier to just yell at him until he reluctantly dropped the conversation, but this time she had to be careful. However much her friends gnawed at her brain, she cared about them more than she would like to admit.

She forced herself to look at him dead in the eyes. "You are."

Present

Fuming with anger, Cera shook her head to rid her mind of the regrettable choice she had made that day.

Lifting her head up from the tree, Cera heard faraway laughter, and there was no doubt as to who it belonged to. "I'm doing you guys a favor ya know…" She sneered.

She was still steaming, so she opted to eat by herself. As Cera sat there bitterly crunching through treestars, she gazed up at the sky, and then she had a thought.

She had full control of her friends' fate. If she wanted them to get caught, she had the power to make it happen. A burst of responsibility and importance sparked up her spine. However much she felt jealousy bubbling inside her, friendship was something she always cherished since she was a hatchling.

Cera held her head up superciliously. She was going to make sure nothing opposed Ducky and Petrie's relationship. And now that tension is growing between Littlefoot and Ruby, she would do her best to not make it obvious to the other residents. It would be a show of tough love.

Sorry this one isn't as long, it was only 1,000 words. If I wanted it to be long then there would have been an even longer wait, and It's deffiently been more than two weeks. Woopsies. :0

This chapter was really important, as we see what's been bugging Cera all this time. In truth she really cares about her friends, so I hope this explains everything! : D
