The doctor was shaking his head at Link's injuries. It was bad, he never seen a sprain such as this.

"You're lucky to still have your leg. You tore many muscles and tendons. There is no broken bones, but I highly recommend you rest. I want you to stay here at the clinic for a few days. It's not just your ankle that I'm worried about, you also have a lung infection. Probably from the caves you enter. I was young once, I suffered the same way, except I was forced to retire when I got severely ill. Take it easy, young hero."

Navi thanks the doctor. It's been two days, she and Link took a long time to get to the surface due to his injuries. Once he got out, he collapsed outside the entrance. Navi flew to town for help, luckily the clinic was open and the nurses there carried Link to the clinic and fetched the only doctor in town. She scolded Link for trying to get up, the dungeon could wait. Its been seven years, a few more days won't matter, Ganon already conquered Hyrule.

Navi watched Link as he slept. He was a brave warrior, but still a man. His body needed rest. She knew it will be awhile before they can continue, but she was getting bored. She wouldn't leave Link, not until he was done his mission. Hmm. She saw the leather bound book, a sneak peak wouldn't hurt. Luckily, Link had it open on the nightstand. She knew he was passed out from the medicine the nurse gave him. She silently flew open to the book and opened the page where they last left off.

This was probably the most dangerous mission I ever heard. I was worried about Rheda. Lara would be okay, the castle was her home. But when I heard what Rheda bought, I breathed a sigh of relief.

"A mask? Okay, if you feel better to be disguised." Lara was about to put on her Shilgen costume. She wore it to hide her jitters. She was terrified. Her father, he was very strict. She was wearing a wig with makeup, she didn't want to be recognized.

"This is more than an ordinary mask, this can literally change you." When she saw Darwyn and Sierida taking turns wearing this mask, both Rheda and Mirabel were fascinated. They both became different people. And when Darwyn put on the Zora mask, he became a Zora, to Sierida's amusement.

"Just...wow." Both women were spooked by Darwyn's screams when he put on both masks, when they asked Sierida, all he said the first time is always painful. Mirabel asked Darwyn if he was alright.

"I feel great, actually." Darwyn put on the special mask on first. Hann wasn't fazed, he tried on that mask awhile back ago. When he looked in the water's edge, he was surprised to see how different he looked. He felt stronger, faster and invisible.

"Just be careful." Sierida warned. Even he was cautious whenever he wore that mask. "Wear the mask, don't let the mask wear you."

Darwyn screamed when he put on the Zora mask, when he transformed into a Zora, he laughed. He looked like an ordinary Zora. He even understood the Zora language.

"You can pass for a ordinary Zora now. Anyways, shall we head to the Temple? I'm dying to see why all three of you are so interested."

"I heard stories, but always thought those were a myth. Wait, um, Rheda, if Darwyn screamed when he put on that mask, give me a few seconds." She looked under the bed to Rheda's confusion.

"Did you forget something?"

"Gotcha!"

"Ugh! Keep that thing away from me." Lara was holding up a squirming mouse. She screamed when Lara pretended to throw it at her.

"That's good. Do me a favor. Hide on the balcony after you put on that mask." Once the screams stopped, Rheda quickly runs out to the balcony. When she heard knocks, she was listening from outside the window.

Knock, knock. When Lara opened it, she pretended to be frightened of a mouse.

"I paid for the Royalty Suite! There are mice in here!"

Rheda rolled her eyes. Lara was hamming it up as a spoiled noble brat. She overheard the poor inn owner apologizing.

"My lady, I am so sorry."

"Those things carry diseases. When my father hears about this...this...filthy room. Well, I never!"

"Oh goddess." Rheda felt bad for the poor owner who was practically grovelling. She hoped Lara tipped him big. Once he left after killing that mouse, Lara whispered to her to come back inside.

"Seriously?" If her own mom heard her talking like that, she would be slapped senseless. Plus forced to work the most awful work in the town for a year, no pay.

"Look, I'll pay his rent for a year, plus pay for his wife's medical care myself. Sorry! I have to play my role." She looked at Rheda. "Damn." Rheda didn't just look different, she seemed different. Remembering Sierida's warning, she warned her to be careful.

"What harm could a mask do? Lead the way." Both climb out the window.

Diary, ignore my typo from before. The Hylian Lake region is where the Temple sits. The Zoras that came for Darwyn were watching from the river's edge. Anyways, the two women managed to sneak inside the castle's grounds.

"Now what?" Rheda whispers. They were now inside the castle grounds, just past the gate. They we're almost caught, even though Lara assured her that gate guard was her childhood friend and wouldn't say anything.

"I know every stone and tree in this place. My friend Jasce, the guard down front, he and I used to play outside all the time. His mother, my former nanny used to watch over us. She was best friends with my mom before she died." Lara sighed. Its been a few years, she missed her mom everyday. "Security is tight, but it is way easier to sneak in the dark." She whispered back.

Rheda nodded. She saw Lara's eyes. She loved her own mom and would be devastated if anything happened to her. She was just a kid, but remembered the funeral when her mom took Nahara and her to the city Temple for the funeral. The whole country mourned for the late Queen. She didn't cry, but she felt sorry for Lara who was sobbing in her dad's arms.

Lara wiped her eyes.

"We only have a short amount of time. My dad will wake up once sunrise comes."

They managed to sneak past the guards and once they make it to the servant's entrance, Lara gestured for her to stop.

"Why are we stopping? The door is right there!" Rheda was shivering. They were forced to swim in the castle moat. It was summer, but Rheda was freezing.

Lara was shivering herself, but she knew why she couldn't use the servant entrance.

"It will take too long to get to father's room. The courtyard, it is a shortcut. I know where a open window is."

Navi smiled at the memories of the castle. Link was caught and thrown out the first time. When the guards demanded why he was inside the castle grounds, Link just said he wanted Zelda's autograph. Thankfully they we're understanding, he was just a kid. Unfortunately he was escorted out. Link returned to town for a few hours, he paid money for an inn. Knowing when the guards shift change was, he waited till after ten. He managed to pay the gate guard ten rupees to sneak in. He knew there was a vine, but he wanted to test if he can come in. Luckily he knew the guard, he smiled at Link when he first arrived in town. He gave Link a tour after Link paid him a few rupees. It was necessary, Navi suggested he make a few friends, just in case. The friendly guard let him in, making Link swear to never tell a soul.

Hearing Link moaning, Navi looked up. Luckily he kept sleeping. She felt guilty for reading, but she knew Link will catch up no problem. She carefully turned the page, the two women were now past the courtyard.

"Really?" Lara was exasperated by Rheda. She picked the pockets of the guards who fell asleep. "We'll get caught!"

"Where's your sense of adventure!" She didn't count, but she estimated she had at least two hundred rupees. It was enough for supplies to head down south, plus some extras. They needed bombs, neither had any. She told out her arrow and aimed it at a window. Before Lara could stop her, she fired.

"What was that for!" She couldn't believe it. Luckily the arrow was hidden in a crack.

Rheda walked calmly to the window and picked up the red rupee.

"This will pay for breakfast. Now show me where this window is."

Ten minutes later both were inside the castle halls.

"Wow." Rheda always seen the castle from the town, or from the fields, but to see the inside, not even her mom saw the inside walls. She looked at the velvet drapes, the fine furniture, the grand hall, her mouth was wide open.

"Over here!" Lara saw a guard walking by. "Hurry!" They managed to sneak inside a empty room before they got caught. "Phew. That was close." They were inside a storage room.

They waited a half hour. Lara and Rheda were bored stiff.

"How long do we have to wait?" Even with the mask, Rheda's legs were stiff from standing so still.

"Shh. Someone's coming."

They heard footsteps, both almost had heart attacks when it stopped in front of the door. The door didn't open thankfully, but both forgot their boredom when the guards started talking. They were talking about the King.

"There you are! What are you doing down here?" One guard asks.

"Taking a breather. I thought I saw something."

Oops. Both Lara and Rheda hoped they didn't come inside. Luckily the guards didn't.

"It's late anyways. Probably a shadow. Rumors are this place is haunted."

"You believe that crap?"

"We have a wizard working for the King, and you don't believe in ghosts?"

"If I see a ghost, then I'll believe it. Want a smoke?''

"Sure."

Both Lara and Rheda were desperately trying not to cough. Lara swore to make a new rule, no smoking in the castle.

"That hit the spot."

"Don't let Lara's nanny find out."

Guard one scoffs.

"Imayn? She's too busy watching that brat. She never comes down here anyways. The Princess is too busy throwing her weight around anyways."

Lara seethed in anger. A brat? She'll show him.

"Too bad Lara isn't available. She's quite the looker."

"I guess. Personally, I think the Geruldo women are way prettier. Lara's cute, but she is too formal for me. I like women with a wilder streak."

Rheda couldn't help but feel flattered.

"Have anyone in mind?"

"The leader's daughter, what's her name? Natalia?"

"Nahara."

"Yeah. Plus her little sister as well."

Rheda desperately wanted to know which guard was which. She never thought about dating, but she wondered about it.

"What about the twins at the ranch?"

"I'll rate them both a ten. I know Waldef has a crush on one of them, he must feel lucky he's at the ranch."

"Which one?"

"I have no idea. All I know is how he kept buying gifts."

"Sigh, I wish the King was himself."

"Yeah. He hasn't been himself, not since the Queen's death."

So the guards noticed as well. Lara was afraid of that.

"He was getting better, he was planning on having a celebration for Hyrule's anniversary. That won't happen now."

"Oh crap! We been down here for so long, we'll get in trouble if we are caught!"

Both Rheda and Lara wait till their footsteps fade down the hall.

"Is it good?"

"Let me check." Lara carefully peaks out after listening on the door. "All clear." She whispered back.

They managed to get to the King's quarters with no issue, Rheda scouted ahead once Lara gave her directions. Once Rheda gave her signal, a curtain rustling, they enter the King's bedroom.

"Okay. Now what." Rheda was clamping her jaw shut, her teeth was chattering from nervousness. She didn't know if she was thrilled to participate in a once of a lifetime opportunity, or hate her for literally putting her life in danger. She saw many treasures, but she knew it was suicide if she tried to steal them.

"Don't you worry, you hear Father's snores? That means he is out for the night. Cook must have made his bourbon coffee cake. Stay here, I'm making the switch."

Navi was trembling with nervousness. She knew this happened a long time ago, but she couldn't help but feel what they must be feeling. She had to know if they succeeded.

Rheda was shaking hard. She felt at home stealing from everyone, fighting monsters, or even going on a blind date. But this, she never wanted to do this ever again. She watched as Lara quietly opened up his nightstand.

Lara was so sure her father would hear her heart beating out of her chest, her legs were shaking. Once she saw the Ocarina, she breathed a sigh of relief. She reaches in her satchel and quickly makes the switch. Once the switch had been made, she nods at Rheda.

Back at the inn, Rheda was breathing hard. She was dying to leave town, she was certain she was about to get arrested. They managed to sneak back out the same way, luckily the guards were busy talking. Rheda managed to see the guard that was talking about her, she recognized him from home. He was the one that she robbed. He was cute, but he wasn't her type. It took them awhile to go through the grounds, it was harder to hide thanks to the light. Neither realized how much they spent inside, dawn was about to come. Luckily, there was thick bushes.

"Don't worry! You have that mask remember! No one will recognize you. Besides, we have to wait anyways. We need rest, but we'll leave first thing tomorrow. Eat, my room comes with room service. Order anything you want."

Navi breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing Link moving, she quickly closes the diary. They are finally heading inside the Water Temple.
