Three months. A young man with spiky blonde hair was thinking. Martin Mystery was his name. Three months ago, he and the rest of his team and those of the spy agency known as WOOHP found themselves on a particularly gruesome case involving a child murderer and possessed animatronics. Though the case is now closed, they are still having trouble sleeping from the after effects of that case. Martin's hazel eyes have bags under them by now, and the brightness has dimmed with the continuous nightmares haunting all of them. Tonight, he is putting his hands to barbecue some hot dogs.
The door to the dorms opens, and a familiar voice is heard.
"Something smells good." Alex, or Alexandra Vazquez, a transfer from Beverly Hills in California, United States, and Martin's girlfriend, walks out into the courtyard. Brown hair, brown eyes, and tanned skin reflecting Hispanic heritage, the two first met in Switzerland on a simultaneous mission involving a crazed man turned Yeti.
"Hey there Alex!" Martin cries out in response, taking his eyes off the grill.
"How're the hot dogs?" As soon as Alex asks, the grill combusts right in their faces.
Martin, in between coughs, quips out, "uhhh, smoking!"
"What's that awful smell?" A tired and exasperated voice enters. A chestnut haired girl with green eyes and a purple nightgown comes down the stairs. Diana Lombard, step sister of Martin Mystery. Her emerald eyes widen upon seeing the state of her step brother, his girl, and the grill, and the grass around them. Now fully awake, Diana yells out in pure fury, "MARTIN MYSTERY! Are you serious?! You could have burned down Torrington!"
Embarrassed, Martin responds, "Well, there's glue in the supply closet." After he quipped, a sudden sting was felt across his right cheek and his lips. Alex had to help Martin up, because Diana's slap knocked to the ground.
"Uhh, what happened?" A young boy, blonde hair in a Mohawk, bulging eyes with black irises, suddenly walked out as soon as Martin was slapped. Billy, Martin's best friend, a disguised alien from the far reaches of space. Next to him is a mountain of a man, easily 7 feet tall or taller, black hair, eyes permanently squinted, and tanned skin. Java, a caveman found frozen in ice near Hawai, now a janitor for Torrington. Together with Billy, Martin, and Diana, they are the best agents for a group of paranormal investigators known as the Center, under the command of Mystery Organization Manager, or M.O.M.
Upon seeing her new friends, Alex just rubs the back of her neck and remarks, "Let's just say whatever happened never occurred."
Whatever further questions were halted by an all too familiar beeping. A strobe light was seen from Martin's watch. "The Center!"
Bringing the watch to his eyes, Martin found a portal between a pair of trees. Instead of courtyard, the portal led to a high tech corridor. Stepping through, everyone was found on a massive elevator that proceeded to scan them.
"Martin Mystery: clear."
"Diana Lombard: clear."
"Java the Caveman: clear."
"Billy the Alien: clear."
Alexandra Vazquez: clear."
A computerized voice was overheard in the facility. This facility is the headquarters of the Center.
The top of the elevator led to a pink room with a desk, hunched over by a middle aged raven haired woman with green eyes. This is M.O.M, and she is involved with dissecting a mysterious creature with six legs, two mandibles, and a split tail.
"Oooh! Cool! What is that?" Martin ogled over this creature, inching ever closer to it.
"It is a Shockirus, and DON'T think of it, Mystery! These creatures drain you to a husk by drinking all of your body fluids."
Not heeding her warning, Martin touched the back of the creature. Instantly, it shot up, shrieked, and scurried all over the lab, causing guards to charge in and restrain the Shockirus.
"Martin Mystery! What did I tell you?!"
Embarrassed, Martin sulked into a nearby chair.
"Now that you're sitting in a chair in shame, we can begin the briefing. But first, let me introduce you to our new friend and expert, Dr. Niko Tatopoulos of Monarch."
"Please, call me Nick, Dr." A man in early thirties walked into the office. Pale skin, black shirt under a red jacket, and ginger hair under a beret. "It's an honor to meet you all! M.o.m told me many things about you all!"
Martin jumped out of his seat in excitement. "Hopefully good stuff!"
Nick shook Martin's hand. "Indeed, Mr. Mystery, mainly about you as lab rat."
Martin again sat down in shame. Diana spoke then after smirking to Martin. "If you've heard of Martin, then I'm sure you've heard of me, Mr. Tatopoulos."
Shaking Diana's hand, "Ah yes, Ms. Lombard. The responsible one… to a fault."
Aghast at the comment, Diana was silent. "Me Java." Java finally spoke for the first time that day.
"Uh.. nice to meet you. A caveman… fascinating."
"Hey there Nicky!"
"Nice to meet you. Alexandra Vazquez right? First off, nice nickname. Second, you work for WOOHP, correct? I went to school with you boss Jerry."
Eyes wide with wonder, Alex swoons. "You have?!"
Nick blushed. "Uhhh, moving on, Billy right?"
Billy responded by transforming into his true form: green skin, bald head with a row bumps and seated in a hover chair. "That's right sir!"
Taken aback, Nick's jaw slackened. "God damn! Kaiju are one thing, but aliens?!"
M.O.M spoke up at that point. "And that word you mentioned: Kaiju, is why we called you. There's been an attack on a Monarch outpost in Antarctica."
Nick took notice. "Monarch and Antarctica? I think I know what's going on. Ghidorah."
Confused, Alex innocently asked, "Ghidor? Ghido? Gido?"
Nick pulled up a photo of Ghidorah attacking Okinawa in 1966. The room suddenly was attacked by the shrill scream of Diana.
"AGENT LOMBARD, CALM YOURSELF!" M.O.M yelled from across the room. Silence, and the guards had tasers drawn and active. Diana had her eyes dart back and forth, seeing the guards up close. They were not Center guards, as they were not dressed in white. These guards were dressed in pure black uniforms and full Kevlar, red shoulder pads with crown patches, under which said MONARCH.
"However, we do have a witness who claims there are two Kaiju." All of a sudden, a gurney was rolled in with Major Hicks strapped to it.
Nicks eyes widened at seeing Hicks. "Good God Hicks! What happened to you?!"
Hicks was shaking, sweat was pouring out in seams, eyes wide with pure terror. Muttering a single word. "Destroyah."
Nick's face darkened. Turning to everyone, his next words will impact the entire world. "We need more help."
