The Jedi order accepted Obi Wan's relationship with Satine due to Leia's Encouragement. Leia was sent back to the front lines in the Clone Wars. She pushed farther and farther into Separatist territory. "We are getting close to Raxus Secundus the home of the separatist parliament. We could go there and try to arrange a peace treaty between both sides. "Leia said. "They will never agree with it. "A clone trooper said Leia left her star destroyer and flew her Blue and white Eta-2 class Jedi Starfigher to its hyperdrive ring and headed to Raxus Secundus. When she arrived, Leia detached from the hyperdrive ring and descended towards the capital below.
Leia landed and walked towards the parliament building. After she entered it, a woman walked up to her. "Jedi have you come to force us to surrender? "Mina Bonteri asked. "No, I want to negotiate a settlement between the Republic and Separatists. I believe they are both being run by the same man. "Leia explained. "We didn't want war anymore then you did, and it still happened. Dooku convinced us to support it. "Mina said. They headed into the room where the parliament met.
Mina called to the senators "My fellow senators Jedi Knight Leia wants to arrange a peace treaty between us and the Republic. They want the war to end as much as we do. All in favor of the treaty and those against vote now." Most of the senator stations glowed green in favor of the treaty. "The I's have it. "Mina said They gave Leia a data pad with the treaty on it. She left for Coruscant.
When Leia arrived on Coruscant she took the treaty to Padme to present to the senate. Padme headed to the senate wearing her senate dress. Padme entered her pod and took it towards the chancellor podium ever thou Palpatine wasn't there. She had called a special session of congress to deal with the treaty. "My fellow senators Jedi Knight Leia Organa has given us a chance to bring peace to the galaxy. She has arranged a treaty with the separatist parliament to end the war. "Padme explains The senate voted and must pods glowed green in favor of the treaty. "The I's have it. Now all that remains is for Palpatine to sign it. "Padme said. "I will not sign it without the consent of the Separatist leaders. This is treason going behind their backs. "Palpatine shouted Leia watched the senate session on a holo viewer and was angry but not surprised. Palpatine smashed the data pad with the treaty. "This is madness! It could be a separatist trick. "Palpatine warned. "If the head of the body cannot act then I move for a vote of no confidence in Chancellor Palpatine. "Padme said. Other senators started shouting "Vote now!" It was the second time in her life Padme called for a vote of confidence against a chancellor. The vote was held. Padme voted for Palpatine to be removed. Many senate pods started glowing green in favor of removing him and then more and more glowed red. The vote failed. Padme stormed out of the senate and met Leia back at her apartment. "Padme I think you just painting an even bigger bullseye on your back trying to remove Palpatine. "Leia groaned "Why do I agree with you Leia? "Padme sighed.
Leia stormed into Palpatine's office. Leia ignited her blue lightsaber in front of Palpatine. "Come you monster! Turning down peace is something only a Sith would do. "Leia growled at Palpatine. Palpatine could feel the anger and hate swelling in her. "Come Leia strike me down and your journey to the dark side with be complete. "Palpatine thought to himself. She would make a good apprentice even if she wasn't as powerful as Anakin. Padme and Anakin entered the office after her. They grabbed Leia's arms and restrained her. "Let me take him. He doesn't want peace. "Leia growled "Leia don't give in to your hate or you will fall to the dark side. "Anakin warned "Please calm down. We can find another way to deal with this. "Padme shouted Prefect Anakin was here now. If Leia turned then she might attack Padme ,hurt her , and Anakin would turn to fight her in revenge. "Palpatine thought. Leia stood there breathing heavy and waiting to attack. She calmed down and put her lightsaber down. "Sorry guys I don't know what came over me. That was close. "Leia sighed. Palpatine growled inside having lose his chance. Anakin and Padme let go of Leia and the three left. The Clone wars would continue. Leia worried Mina might also be threatened by this failure as well.
