USS Argo
"Keep the new contacts occupied! Two mechs are being prepped for combat!"
The captain has been barking orders left and right ever since the armies of Destroyah and Ghidorah appeared. Forces had been deployed as support for both the teens and the Kaiju, knowing they wouldn't do much but are determined to make life hell. They've deployed a series of traps and entrenchments to lure the Mutos and Skullcrawlers to be face to face with a titan.
Nick was watching intently, inwardly pleased that he's keeping Animal on the ship. Animal however, was vocally protesting ever since he woke up in a brig. "AW COME ON! NICK, I KNOW YOU HEAR ME! WHAT HAPPENED TO BESTIES?!" Nick over the intercom. "This is for your own safety, Animal, as clearly you value your cash over your life. So, I'm taking care of your life for you."
"Remind me to stay at Torrington for the next mission!" Diana squirmed to break free from Clover's hold. They had been dodging Ghidorah for at least a few hours before Godzilla intervened. Now, they have to flee from a strange walking manta ray-insectoid aberration. Sam called for a team rendezvous to see what options they have. They all landed on a blown up building. Marvin was released from Sam, red in the face with embarrassment. Alex and Martin then saw Clover and a fuming Diana land, and they huddled together.
"Well, this is a nice situation Monarch got us in. Next time a mission comes up, that's my resignation." *smack* "Buzzkill." Martin had finally, after all these years, had enough of Diana's complaints. "Besides, no one anticipated this."
"U-Watch Activated. Legendex selected."
A book looking hologram was displayed above the watch face, which then displayed a picture and a detailed analysis from MONARCH's longtime ally, the Global Defence Force, of the creature that Clover and Diana were running away from. Martin, always the monster enthusiast, read with gusto. "According to this, the creature you guys were running from is called a Muto. These creatures were the most ancient enemies of Godzilla himself, even killing his ancestor Dagon. They Are also the Kaiju equivalent of Tarantula Hawks today, and can multiply in the thousands. They feed on radiation, their main food source." He then pulled up both a chart of the creature's anatomy, and GDF data of weaknesses. "One weakness this thing has are the leg joints to immobilize it, and of course there's the head and a soft underbelly."
Another image appeared, this time of a two legged lizard. Curious, Sam asked. "What are those things? They look like legless lizards." "Skullcrawlers." Martin replied. "The ancient enemies of Kong. They hunt both for sport, and for food. They're feared by every other creature on Skull Island except for Kong. He sees them as pests that should not exist, and damage the local ecosystem. There was one infamous Skullcrawler that the natives called Ramarak. He was so large that he managed to challenge, and almost kill Kong himself. US Forces in 1973 found themselves on the island to use as a base for the Vietnam War, and that's when they found a teenage Kong, but also enraged the Skullcrawlers. That's when Ramarak met his end, at the hands of Kong with help from the US Soldiers." Like the Muto's, Martin pulled up both the anatomy of the creature, and GDF tactical analysis. "The only way to kill a Skullcrawler is with A: A lucky Luke Skywalker shot to the eye, or B: Another Kaiju. The reason why is their scales and their heads. The head gives it its name: A solid form of cartilage with the hardness and color of bone that makes it impervious to all firearms and melee weapons." Clover then chose to speak up. "Okay, but we haven't seen any yet. Where are they?"
A series of short but menacing sounds are heard from the lower floors, along with the distinctive sound of claws grasping at concrete. Daring to peek over the sides, what they saw made their hair stand on end: Three Skullcrawlers were slowly climbing the side of the building, with the alpha making a longer roar akin to that of a Komodo Dragon. Alex was exasperated at the timing. "SERIOUSLY CLOVER?! YOU HAD TO JINX US!" The alpha then shot out a long chameleon-esque tongue to its chosen prey: Diana. She immediately ducked. "WHY IS EVERYTHING TO EAT ME?!" The climbing sound got faster. Before anyone had time to blink, the pack was right in front of them.
"U-Watch Activated: X-Rod Selected."
A large rod appeared in Martin's hand, and he then took a bo-staff stance. Normally, he'd use this to fire a net for capture, but his instincts told him these things can not be contained, and that he has no choice but to fight. The spies then pulled something out of their bags. Martin wanted to face palm. We're about to fight for our lives, and they decide that now is a good time to do their hair? That's when a charging Skullcrawler made the same mistake he did. A vortex of wind spiraled out from the hairdryers, pushing the skullcrawler back ever so slightly. He was about to go ever the edge when the creature displayed some terrifying intelligence: Digging its claws into the concrete, and holding tightly. When the power died, there were still three Kaiju in front of them. Staring in wide eyed terror at how their gadgets finally failed them, the lizards charged as one. Martin only managed to knock two out of the way before being tackled to the ground by the alpha, and pinned under its massive and strong claw. Staring into its cold yellow eyes, Martin decided to stare back definitely into the face of death itself. Playing with him as its food, the Skullcrawler licked across his face, only to be yanked off him from below. One by one, the three skull crawlers were dragged into the building by strong claws. Martin tentatively looked down through the hole in the now collapsing building, and saw Zilla had dragged all three by the tails. A screech, and he saw Mothra and Rodan, along with Manda, had landed and were picking them off the building onto their backs. Seeing several beams falling, he followed suit.
USS Argo.
"It's okay Maddison, they're safe." Britney had long returned to the Argo when the armies showed up, and saw that Maddison was hiding under a desk.
"Will Manda and the others make it in time, Ms. Britney?" "Yes, they will, and it's just Britney." "All WOOHP and CENTER personnel report to the bridge. All WOOHP and CENTER Personnel to the bridge." "I promise to come back when this is all over." Maddison just looked at her. "Don't make promises if you know you can't keep them."
Entering the bridge, she sees that, true to her word, the others were safe. She discreetly took a photo and sent it to Maddison. Diana looked ready to strangle Nick by the collar. "YOU COULD HAVE TOLD US ABOUT THE ARMIES!" In a repeat of when they all first met, the same two guards from the beginning were holding her by the arms. Nick by this point had lost all patience for the arrogant woman in front of him. "Diana Lombard, STAND DOWN! We had ZERO IDEA that was going to happen, and need I remind of who's in charge here! SO WATCH YOUR TONE! Or so help me, I'll have you brought up on insubordination charges!" "Sir, GDF Reinforcements have arrived! Moguera and MechaGodzilla report as green and ready to engage! They also ask if Godzilla can sense Dagon helping him!"
Two bipedal, animal-like robots were spotted on Radar, and a visual was seen on scopes: one looked reminiscent of a Penguin, and the other a robotic-looking Godzilla. Godzilla himself felt off when he saw the latter, but this left him vulnerable to being grabbed by Ghidorah. Mechagodzilla sent a barrage of missiles at Ghidorah, which freed Godzilla, and Moguera then attacked Destroyah with cryo missiles. The demon was frozen in place: the missiles had all landed on his feet and wings, locking him in his position with ice. King took this opportunity to rip a piece of his chest clean off: his regeneration factor. Moguera then smashed the ice, which took his wings from him and his feet. Manda, with Britney who now joined the fight, then flew in a circle, before diving in a charge to his head. Grabbing the horn, Manda ripped it off with his jaws, and Behemoth delivered the killing blow to the cavity where the regen factor was missing, straight through his heart.
Godzilla was pushing back against the three headed tyrant who constantly destroyed planets. Ghidorah crackled with yellow bolts, and each head sent one to a different monster, oddly not Godzilla: Rodan, Mothra, and Manda were hit and forced to crash into hills, as the fight was dragged outside thanks to MONARCH's efforts to avoid civilians and collateral damage. Before he could attack again, Kong charged in, still full of bloodlust, and grabbed one of the heads and pinned it with a tree. The free heads tried to shoot gravity beams, but this had the opposite effect: Kong simply absorbed the power of the beams, and turned them back into Ghidorah. The dragon roared in pain: This has never happened before. His wings and tails were then trapped by the flyers. Zilla then grabbed both legs. Jet Jaguar and Anguiras grabbed his other heads, and along with Kong, opened all three mouths, allowing Godzilla to shoot atomic breath into them. Moguera and Mechagodzilla then sliced him in half up the middle, causing Ghidorah, who was already full of atomic breath, to burst into a flash of bright light.
The bridge of the Argo was in cheers. Maddison hugged Miki and Nick together, while Animal went for a bottle of beer. That was, until an unfamiliar roar broke the celebrations, and the light from Ghidorah then traveled to the source. The roar was draconic like, but also vaguely feline. A purple light, originating from Destroyah also went to the shape: it had two wings, but only one head and tail, its face vaguely catlike with three horns protruding from the back. Three sharp claws and hooves feet completed the shape. His readings from the sensors of the Argo were off the charts, and increasing from the remains of Destroyah and Ghidorah. Nick and Miki shared a glance. "Miki, what is that thing?" "For once Nick, I have no clue. It's not in our database or in any of our friends or enemies memories. All I know is its thoughts." "What are its thoughts, Miki?" The only word that came from her mouth sent shivers and rage into the rest of the crew.
"Enslavement."
