Midoriya stood in front of the mirror in his room as he adjusted the tie around his neck. "I still can't get the hang of tying a tie," he grumbled as he looked at his sloppy work.
"Izuku honey, are you ready," Inko called from the living room. The tone of her voice made it clear that she was more nervous about her son's first day than he was.
Chuckling at the thought, he yelled back, "I am." Stepping out of his room, the young teen straightened the jacket of his U.A. uniform.
Tears welled up in the corner of Inko's eyes, "Aww… My baby boy, you look so good in that uniform."
"Thanks, mom. I need to get going Ok."
"Do you have-"
"I have my pocket tissues," interrupted the teen. "And my handkerchief. I'll be fine mom."
"I know," the matriarch of the Midoriya family smiled at her son. "It's just I'm really proud of you Izuku. I mean it."
"Thanks, Mom," Midoriya turned and gave his mother a hug goodbye. Hosting his backpack onto his shoulder, he stepped towards and opened the door. "I'll see you later." His mother waved goodbye and the eager teen began his run towards his school.
The hustle and bustle of the morning commute was just as he remembered it and he rubbed his eyes to despell some of the drowsiness that still help him. I didn't get much sleep last night, he admitted to himself. I couldn't help it. I was just so excited to see everyone in class. Alongside the letter he received from U.A. was a class schedule. Much to his delight, he was still in class 1-A. I hope the classes aren't set up at random. Nothing against 1-B, but I just… want to be with everyone. With everything that has happened since the start of his time at U.A, it would not be hard to get attached to everyone in his class. Even the pervert Mineta had a special place amongst his friends in 1-A.
Now outside of the station closest to his new school, his thoughts of 1-B reminded him of someone who he would be walking with. She said she was going to be waiting outside of the station.
"Hey! Midoriya!"
Across the sea of commuters and students was a redhead girl with a sideways ponytail. Dressed in the female U.A. uniform. "Kendo!" Midoriya walked over in the direction of his new friend. "Sorry, did you wait long?"
She shook her head, "Nah, just got here off my train. Ready?"
The green-haired teen nodded his head and the pair walked in the direction of U. After their training, they decided to walk to the school together since they both exited from the same station.
As they started their walk, Midoriya reflected on his time at the Battle Fist Dojo. Thanks to all of Master's training, I finally have a good grasp on my current limits. His training started off slow, familiarizing himself with One for All since it had been almost a year since he had used the power. Now he could confidently use five percent without much thought along with some other stuff he had learned.
All things considered, I think I'm better off now than I was in the past. Before I was just a glass cannon. Now I'm going to be fully capable of combat. He looked down at his hands and sighed a disappointed sigh as he thought back to the biggest hurdle that appeared. I can't use Blackwhip or Float. No matter how many times he tried to activate the two Quirks, nothing would happen. Maybe once I become stronger, I'll get access to the Quirks of the previous holder's quirks.
"You doing ok, Midoriya?"
The question directed at him snapped him out of his introspection. "Y-yeah," he answered with a stutter. "J-just a bit nervous I guess."
Kendo nodded her head in understanding, "I get that I guess. First day at Japan's top Hero academy. Anyone would be nervous."
"Yeah." Midoriya nodded before thinking back to his newfound friendship with Kendo, 1-B's big sister. Initially, he had tried to stay at arm's length from the girl. Fearing that a friendship might alter events in the future. But the girl's friendly nature eventually made him warm up to her enough for the two to exchange numbers and plan their walk to school together. He had a mild panic attack at Kendo asking for his number, which put him on the receiving end of her mother's teasing. With the towers of U.A. slowly coming into view, "You don't seem that nervous Kendo."
"It's the first day. It's not like they're going to have us do anything crazy."
"I-I guess," Midoriya chuckled, knowing full well what Aizawa-sensei was going to do.
The pair continued their walk together, engaging in small talk as they ascended the stairs to where their classes are. "Looks like this is your stop," Kendo said as they came up to the large door marked with 1-A on it. "And it looks like my class is right next door. I'll see you at the entrance ceremony."
"Sure. See you Kendo." The green-haired teen waved goodbye to his friend and looked the large door up and down one more time. I shouldn't be this nervous, he thought to himself. Seeing everyone for the first time in so long. Midoriya's heart twisted at old memories but he shook the thoughts away before they could take form. Don't be nervous, he thought, gripping the door handle.
With a final deep breath, he opened the door to his class. A quick once over the classroom showed that the room had not changed from the past. Rather, it was identical in every way and it caused Midoriya to smile. A glance around the room showed that almost everyone was present already except for a few. I left a little earlier than I did in the past so I could meet up with Kendo…
His attention turned to his left as he heard footsteps approach him. "It's you." The eyes of everyone in the classroom turned him and a tiny blush crept onto his face. Still not used to this kind of attention.
Marching his way towards him was Iida with the familiar robot-like walk. "My name is Tenya Iida from Somei Private Academy. It's a pleasure to meet you properly." Iida put out his hand in a friendly manner.
Not put off by the blue-haired teen's overzealous nature, Midoriya smiled and shook the hand offered to him. "It's nice to meet you, Iida. I'm Izuku Midoriya from Aldera junior high." Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a few of the other students perked up as he introduced himself to Iida. Maybe because I got first place in the exam?
"Midoriya… During the entrance exam you were able to perceive the test's true nature," the zealous teen grimaced. "While I did not. I misjudged you! I hate to admit it but you were a superior candidate!"
"I-it's fine Iida. Besides, you were pretty skilled back during the test. Your Quirk is pretty amazing." He smiled brightly at his friend, "Let's both do our best."
Midoriya's words earned a smile from Iida, who returned one in kind. "Thank you for the compliment. And yes, let's do our best."
"Move aside Deku before I blast you."
A loud and recognizable voice from behind Midoriya made him jump a little as he turned around quickly, "G-good morning Kacchan," he said, still regaining his composure from being surprised. "Looks like w-we're in the same class again huh." The explosion user glared at him for a second before forcing his way into the classroom and over to his seat. He's been harsher towards me than before, Thought Midoriya. Even back at Aldera when he confronted me…
An explosion was set off in the palm of Bakugo's hand as he slammed his fist against the wall in order to hit Mirodiyra, who dodged out of the way. "You better start talking Deku. Before I turn you to ash. What dirty trick did you use to get into U.A? "
"I didn't cheat Kacchan," waved the greenette in defense.
"That's crap and you know it!" Bakugo marched over and grabbed Midoriya by the collar. "I was the only one to get into U.A. from this crappy school. And I was supposed to be the best. But you got in too and took first place from me at the entrance exam." He grit his teeth, "There's no way a Quirkless nerd like you could get in, so tell me how you cheated!"
"I didn't cheat Kacchan. I swear." Midoriya's voice came out a little louder than he expected, surprising the other teen, but he continued. "There's a lot I want to tell you. As someone who's been my friend for so long, there's a lot that you deserve to know. But… I got into U.A. because I earned it." Midoriya grabbed hold of his friend's arm. "Someone told me I could be a hero so I'm going to U.A. no matter what.!"
Bakugo just stared at the other teen. A mixture of anger and confusion etched onto his face. Truly, confused at how the meek teen he once knew could change so much. After a few seconds of silence by both parties, it was Bakugo who moved first. He let go of Midoiya's collar and with a click of his teeth, he walked off without another word.
He actually stood up to me, Thought the explosion user as he walked over to his desk. Ever since that day with the sludge villain, it's like he's a completely different person. Something's up… Finding his desk, Bakugo sat down and kicked his feet up on the desk to wait for class to start.
"Excuse me, remove your feet from the desk at once!" Iida walked over to Bakugo and began to grip at him for his conduct.
Midoriya shook his head, pleased and relieved that his friend was still the same as ever. Before the greenette could take another step a voice came from behind him. "You're blocking the door."
A split second was all it took to recognize the voice of the person and he spun on his heels to see a teen with white and red hair standing in the doorway. Todoroki… The events of the end of the battle came to mind. How the villain known as Dabi was actually Todoroki's older brother Toya, who was thought to be dead. In addition to the villain having a deep hatred for his brother and Endeavor. The flame villain, as well as the other members of the League, had been on his mind the past couple of months as he thought up ways to try to stop them. I made a post on the Hero forum that I made about each member of the league, just like I did with the Shie Hassaikai.
"Are you going to keep standing there?"
Realizing he was still caught in his own thoughts', Midoriya stepped out of the doorway so Todoroki could get through, "S-sorry about that." The heterochromatic teen gave a dismissive nod as he stepped into the classroom. "I-i'm Izuku Midoriya. It's nice to meet you," the greenette said introducing himself.
Todoroki stopped to look at Midoriya with a look of deep examination. His gaze was cold and calculating like he was judging how strong Midoriya would be in a fight. He must know that I scored the highest on the exam, though Midoriya as he held his breath. After a few seconds, Todoroki said nothing and continued to his assigned seat.
Midoriya finally took a breath, Scary… He watched the flame and ice user walk, I forgot how cold Todoroki used to be towards everyone at the beginning. He was so focused on not using his father's power. It wasn't until our fight at the sports festival that we really began to become friends. I'm going to have to get him to overcome the issues with his father again. The sooner the better…
"Oh hey, it's curly hair!"
For the third time, a voice snapped the teen out of his thoughts. Thankfully, the voice was happy and chipper. Midoriya spun on his heels and was greeted by a familiar smile. "You got in! Just like you said, it's not a surprise though! Your kick was awesome." The bubbly teen waved her arm back and forth excitedly causing Midoriya to smile.
"You made it in," he said. "I said you would too."
"You did." Uraraka bowed her head, "I really need to thank you for trying to give me some of your points. That was really sweet of you…"
The girl's gesture made Midoriya blush, Making some in the class wonder if his Quirk turned him into a tomato. "O-oh, i-it was n-nothing at all," he managed to stutter out. " I-i mean you d-did the same for me so t-thank you for that."
"You're welcome. But I was really surprised to see you do the same thing I did. What a weird coincidence huh?"
"If you're here to socialize, then get out." From behind Uraraka, a male's voice came from a bright yellow sleeping bag on the floor. Uraraka and Midoriya turned to the voice as it pulled out a juice pouch from out of nowhere. "This is the hero course."
Most of the class shared the same thought as they looked at the disheveled man who was in desperate need of a nap. Who is this guy!?
However, one among them was happy to see the man. Aizawa-sensei. Midoriya smiled from ear to ear as the black-clad hero emerged from his sleeping bag. After the battle, Aizawa-sensei had been pretty beaten up to put it lightly. The teen's gaze went to the pro's leg which he had chopped off after being hit with one of the Quirk deletion bullets the League stole from the Shie Hassaikai. Of course, it was still there and he felt relieved. It's good to see you again, Aizawa-sensei, he thought. I look forward to learning from you.
"It took you eight seconds to quiet down. Time is a precious resource. You lot aren't very rational, Are you?"
"Um," Uraraka raised her hand nervously. "Sorry, but who are you?"
"I'm your Homeroom Teacher, Shota Aizawa. Pleased to meet you," the man said with a deadpan expression.
Everyone, except for Midoriya, looked shocked. Homeroom teacher, they thought.
"Quickly now, grab your gym uniforms from the inside of your desk, change, then head out to the training grounds."
Everyone shifted their gaze between each other and their new teacher, unsure of what to make of his instructions. Again, the only one who didn't bat an eye was Midoriya, who nodded his head and said, "Yes sir."
The teen went to his desk like he was asked, reaching and grabbing the wrapped uniform from inside while the others stared at him. "At least one of you appears rational," commented Aizawa, also giving Midoriya a look. "Now move it." Aizawa turned and began to walk down the hall. Everyone else followed his instructions and grabbed their uniforms.
As they walked as a class, several of them began to mingle and introduce themselves to each other. Midoriya felt a tapping on his left shoulder. To his surprise, a pair of yellow eyes and pink hair greeted him, "hey, it was Midoriya right?"
"Yeah?"
"You seem like a pretty smart guy," said the pinkette. "Any idea where we're going?"
Of course, he already knew of the Quirk assessment test Aizawa had planned. But he shook his head, "I'm sorry, but I don't."
The girl pouted, "Man, it's only the first day and we're already being thrown for a loop. Talk about hardcore."
"U.A. is known for its freestyle education system," A third voice cut in from Midoriya's other side. The source was a girl with a long black ponytail. "It is no surprise that it would seem unconventional when compared to our previous schools." The girl turned to Midoriya and the other girl with a smile. "Allow me to introduce myself properly. My name is Momo Yaoyorozu. It's nice to meet the both of you."
The girl's introduction was greeted with a smile. "Izuku Midoriya," greeted the Quirk inheritor. "It's nice to meet you too, Yaoyorozu."
"Nice to meet you. Name's Mina Ashido," said the pinkette. "Aren't you one of the students in the hero course based on recommendation?"
Yaoyorozu's cheeks turned a little pink and she nodded, "Y-yes, I was recommended for my academic abilities."
Ashido's eyes went wide, "that means you're super-duper smart right. That's so cool."
"Thank you for the compliment. Of course, I'm not the only one who did well on the written exam it seems." The creation Quirk user turned her head to Midoriya. "You passed the written exam with a perfect score from what I've heard, correct?"
The teen's face turned red and Ashido bounced a little in excitement. "Seriously, that's so cool Midoriya. Perfect score on the written exam and the highest score on the practical. That's so impressive. I barely passed the written exam."
"I-it's not that I-impressive," Midoriya stuttered out.
"If the three of you are done talking, get changed."
The three looked up from their conversation and saw the whole class saw they were standing in front of a door that led outside. Aizawa pointed at some rooms marked with signs appointing male and female changing rooms. "Get changed and meet me out on the field, Don't waste time," the pro walked outside leaving the students to begin changing.
"Is he seriously a teacher," commented Ashido.
"In any case, we should follow his directions and hurry," Midoriya advised, knowing what Aizawa was like when he got angry.
"You are right," Yaoyorozu nodded and began to walk and follow the other girls into the changing room. "It was nice to meet you, Midoriya," she said bowing politely.
Ashido nodded in agreement, "Totally. Good to meet you Midoriya."
The two disappeared while Midoriya walked into the men's room. Inside, the other boys were changing out of their uniforms. Finding an open locker, he did as instructed and began to change while thinking about the two girls. Ashido and Yaoyorozu are still the same as ever. I might not be as close to the two as Uraraka or Iida but it's still really nice to see them. Yaoyorozu was a big help when she made the tracking device to get us to Kamino ward. And Ashido was a good dance teacher for the cultural festival. The Quirk inheritor smiled at the memories of those days but stopped when he heard someone call his name.
"Hey. It was Midoriya, Right?"
Slipping off his uniform jacket, he turned to the teen next to him. "Yes?"
"Name's Denki Kaminari. Just wanted to introduce myself to our class's big hotshot. Considering you got first place on the exam."
Did Kacchan have to deal with this kind of attention when he got first place, he thought. "It's nice to meet you Kaminari."
"I had a friend at the same testing site as you," said another voice. "You kicked that zero pointer square in the face like it was nothing. So manly!" The other boy slipped on the gym uniform undershirt before pounding his fist on his chest. "Name's Eijiro Kirishima. Good to meet you."
"You too Kirishima," smiled Midoriya as he thought about the two in the past. While he wasn't as good of friends with the two boys when compared to their friendship with Bakugo. Midoriya still enjoyed the two's company. Kirishima is a great friend. He's the sole reason the rescue operation back in Kamino Ward even worked. He also helped out a lot at the Shie Hassaikai raid as well. The greenette looked to the blonde electric Quirk user. Setting aside his pervy antics, Kaminari is a really good guy. Back during the cultural festival, he along with the rest of the band team did a great job.
"It was quite the display of power," A student with a bird for head slipped on the jacket. "I was at the same testing site and I saw first hand the power Midoriya poses. Although I also did see the damage your body sustained as well."
A large teen with multiple arms spoke, "It looked like you broke your legs Midoriya. Are you alright?"
"I'm ok," smiled the teen. "It's thanks to Recovery Girl. She healed me with her Quirk."
"It is as I said, She is the backbone of U.A," A blond boy closed his locker and spun towards the group of talking boys. "My name is Yuga Aoyama. It's a pleasure to officially meet you. I do hope you remember me from the testing site."
The other guys threw up their brows at the extravagant teen, but Midoriya smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Aoyama." Aoyama may seem a little weird at first, but when you get to know him. He's actually a really good friend. He certainly freaked me out with the whole 'cheese incident'. Midoriya's mind went back to that night when Aoyama had left cheese on his balcony and the talk they had about how their bodies can't handle their quirks. I'll have to find a chance to talk to him again about that.
"I should formally introduce myself as well. Fumikage Tokoyami."
The masked student did the same, "Mezo Shoji."
Midoriya shook the hands of the two and was reminded of the role his two classmates had in the training camp. Shoji was a big help in helping rescue Tokoyami from the league when he and Kacchan got captured. And back during the sports festival, I wouldn't have made it to the next round without Tokoyami. "It's nice to meet you too."
"Shsss! Can you guys be quiet?!" The boys looked over to see a short purple-haired teen hugging the wall by the door. "The girls are on the other side of this wall. Maybe if we're quiet enough, we can hear them."
The rest of the boys, except for Kaminari, looked at the small teen with disapproving looks. Iida, having finished putting on his gym uniform rushed over, "Cease this foul behavior at once! It is unbecoming of students of U.A! What is your name?"
"Minoru Mineta," replied the teen without moving from the wall.
"Mineta, To engage in such crude action is…" Iida went on to lecture Mineta as the rest of the boys continued to change. Midoriya slipped on the jacket of the uniform and watched Mineta. Setting aside his 'interest in girls', Mineta is really reliable. During the attack at the USJ, his sticky balls helped us trap the villain in the water. He also helped a lot in the joint battle training with 1-B.
A loud crash echoed throughout the locker room as Bakugo fumed with anger, "Will you extra shut up." He walked out of the room with Todoroki behind him, also not in the mood for socializing.
"Bakugo is right. We should not keep Mr. Aizawa waiting any longer." Iida followed the two out as several of the other boys shrugged and followed behind.
"That Bakugo guy seems like a jerk,'' said a voice coming from behind Midoriya. The student's tail hanging loosely from the pants of his gym uniform.
Another student nodded his head as he adjusted the jacket around his strangely shaped elbows, "Todoroki doesn't seem like the most friendly person either."
"And Iida seems like a nice enough guy, maybe just a bit overzealous," Muscular teen with brown spikey hair placed his hand on his chin.
"Don't be too hard on the guys," Midoriya said, trying to defend the three. "It's only the first day and you just met. I'm sure you'll warm up to them."
The three look skeptical but shruged in compliance. "Whatever you say Midoriya. I'm Sero by the way. Hanta Sero."
"I'm Mashirao Ojiro."
"Nice to meet you Midoriya. Rikido Sato."
Midoriya smiled at the three boys, "It's nice to meet you guys as well." Sato was a big help during the cultural festival, helping me make the candied apple for Eri-chan. Orjiro was incredible on the dance team too. I also owe Sero a lot for his help during the provisional license exam. Without his tape, I don't think Uraraka or I would have passed. "We should head out to the training field."The other boys nodded their heads and followed behind Midoriya.
Meanwhile, All Might looked up where to find a record in the U.A. faculty room. Alongside being the top Hero course in the country, rivaled only by Shiketsu, U.A. is also known for its 'freestyle education system'. Finding the file's location, he stood up and went over the cabinet, and typed in his security code. The clicking of the lock signaled All Might to reach inside and grab what he needed, a file labeled Staff Records. He continued his thoughts as he began to flip through it on the way back to his desk. Because of this, teachers have a lot of freedom in how they choose to run their classes. Depending on who Midoriya was assigned to, he may have some trouble going forward. Looking at Midoriya's student file, All Might knew that he was in class 1-A, so he flipped through the records to find who was assigned as the homeroom teacher. Finally, a picture of a long-haired man was listed with the title Homeroom teacher for 1-A.
"Aizawa, huh," said the hero to himself while looking at Aizawa's record. Young Midoriya, you better prepare yourself for whatever lies ahead.
"A Quirk Evaluation Test!?"
All of 1-A, except for Midoriya, expressed their surprise at finding out what they were doing outside. "What about the entrance ceremony!? Or Guidance sessions?!" Uraraka asked to Aizawa-sensei.
"No time to waste on that stuff if you want to be heroes," the scruffy man answered bluntly. "U.A. is known for its 'freestyle' education system. Meaning I get to run this class how I want." Everyone looked slightly unnerved by this fact and Aizawa began to count with his fingers. "Softball throwing, standing long jump, the 50-meter dash, endurance running, grip strength, side-to-side stepping, upper body training, and seated toe touch. You all did these in middle school, yes? Your standard no-Quirks allowed gym tests." A few nods were given and he continued, "This country still insists on prohibiting the use of Quirks when calculating the average of those records. It's not rational. The department of education is just procrastinating," his last comment was made with a hint of annoyance as he turned and looked to Bakugo. "Bakugo, How far could you throw a softball in middle school?"
"Sixty seven-meters," nonchalantly replied the teen.
"Great," Aizawa took a softball out of his pocket and tossed it to Bakugo. "Now try it with your Quirk. Do whatever you need to just don't leave the circle. Give it all you've got."
The explosion user examined the ball as he stepped into the circle. Stretching his arms, he smiled at the idea of using his Quirk without restraints. "Awesome." I'll add a little boom to the pitch! Bakugo railed back his arm and took a deep step to throw the ball with all his might. "DIE!"
His loud scream almost matched the loudness of the explosion that set the softball flying into the air.
Several of the others either watched in amazement at Bakugo's firepower, covered their ears, or some mixture of both. Midoriya did manage to crack a smile at his friend. The chard and smoking ball hit the ground after several seconds and the device in Aizawa's hand beeped. "It's important for us to know your limits. It's the first rational step in figuring out what kind of heroes you'll be." He flipped the device over to reveal the ball had traveled 705.2 meters.
"705 meters? Seriously," Kaminari said in surprise.
Ashido pumped her fist eagerly with a big smile on her face, "So we can use our Quirks for real! Man, the hero course is awesome!"
Midoriya swore he saw Aizawa twitch. "Awsome… you say? You're hoping to become Heroes after three years… And you think it'll be all fun and games? Right?" Several of the others swallowed the lumps in their throats as they saw the look in Aizawa's eyes. "Alright then...The one with the lowest score across all eight events will be judged hopeless… and be EXPELLED."
While everyone else let out a surprised 'what', Aizawa smiled wickedly while pulling back his hair, revealing his bloodshot eyes. "Your fates are in our hands. Welcome. This is the Hero Course at U.A. high!"
Midoriya simply clenched his fist. This is it. All Might, I can do this.
"Hold on!" To his right, Uraraka spoke up. "The lowest score will be expelled? It's only the first day! I mean, even if it weren't… That's not fair!"
To everyone's surprise, including Aizawa's, Midoriya said, "Natural disasters, highway pileups, rampaging villains… This world is unfair and full of calamity. It's a heroes' job to combat that unfairness. To protect people from the harshness of the world." He finally realized that everyone was staring at him as he finished his thoughts. "What?"
This kid is more rational than I first suspected, thought Aizawa. "Midoriya's right. If you were hoping to coast through your time here at U.A., then you better think again. For the next three, years, U.A. will run you through the wringer." The teacher beckoned with his finger, "That's Plus Ultra. Use your strength to overcome it all. So bring it."
Emotions of the class were mixed, some feared that their journey to become a pro hero would end before it even began. Others smiled widely, eager to accept the challenge. Others psyched themselves up to perform at their absolute best. Before, Midoriya had fallen in the first category. Now, however, he was ready and eager to accept the challenge.
"Alright, The way we'll do this is pretty simple. There are stations I have set up along the field area. Each of you will go to a station and complete the exercise. Some stations are manned by robots to keep track of your score." Aizawa pointed over to one of the robots resembling that of a tripod. "As I said, you may use your Quirk as long as you don't do anything to disqualify you from the exercise. You'll all do the endurance running together as a class once everyone has completed all the stations. Any Questions?" The question was met with silence and he nodded, "good. Partner up to stretch. Once you're done, get started. And don't waste time or I'll expel you on the spot."
The last threat made the class scramble as everyone went to partner up. Midoriya had initially thought about asking Iida to partner up with him, but he saw Koda out of the corner of his eye. The animal lover was nervously fidgeting with his fingers looking at everyone who began to pair up. Koda. I forgot how nervous he use to be. After the finals where he and Jiro went up against Present Mic, he started to get a little more confident. He decided to help the boy out and walked over to him.
"Hey," Koda jumped slightly as the greenette came up to him. "My name is Izuku Midoriya. Do you have a partner yet?"
The silent teen opened and closed his mouth several times as he tried to find the right words. Koda looked down to the ground and nodded his head choosing to remain silent after all.
"Would you like to partner up with me?" Koda seemed surprised by the offer which Midoriya chalked up to the reputation he earned from placing first on the practical. After a few seconds of quiet contemplation, Koda gave a small nod. "Great. Then let's get started."
The pair quickly fell into a rhythm as stretching for physical education classes was something even regular students did all the time. While some of the other pairs chatted idly, be it about the exercises they would have to complete or their first impressions of Aizawa. Koda and Midoriya worked together in silence. Best not to push him into having a conversation with me, Midoriya thought as Koda pushed him down to the ground in order to stretch his hamstrings.
It didn't take long for everyone to finish and the class began to make their way over to the various tests that had been laid out. Having finished as well, Midoriya helped Koda off the ground and they began walking along with the class. The greenette looked sidelong at Koda and the animal lover was sweating up a storm. Maybe I should help him calm down a little.
"Hey," Midoriya's voice made Koda jump once again as he turned to look at the other teen. "You don't have to be nervous." Koda looked wide-eyed at the other teen and Midoriya assumed it was because he had guessed what he was thinking. "I know you're scared about failing. Trust me I am too, but worrying about it will only hamper our performance. As heroes, we have to stay calm in stressful situations. Just focus on doing your best." Those last words came with a smile and for a few seconds, Midoriya wondered if his words had reached the animal lover.
"Hey, you two!" They turned to see Iida waving at them as everyone else was by the stations to start the test.
Midoriya nodded and began walking to him before he heard…
"Koda..."
The greenette turned around to find Koda, although still looking at the ground, seemed to have shaken off some nervousness. "I'm Koji Koda."
"Nice to meet you, Koda. Let's do our best!"
Koda gave a nervous smile and jogged alongside Midoriya as they merged with the rest of the class.
The first event was the 50-meter dash. Like before, Iida was like a fish in water with this event and managed to cross the line in 3.04 seconds. Everyone did their best to complete the dash as fast as they could while using their Quirks to increase their speed in any way possible. Some were more successful than others, like Yaoyorzu creating spring shoes to hop the 50 meters and Uraraka using her quirks to make her shoes and clothing lighter. Unlike before, Midoriya waited until after Bakugo to go so that the teen's explosions wouldn't hurt his time. Kirishima had filled that spot and managed to take the blonde's explosions thanks to his Quirk.
Off to the side, Aizawa stood with his device and recorded everyone's times. They're pushing their Quirks to their limits. By seeing how much they've improved, I can guess what they're capable of. And what they're not. This is inevitably linked to how creatively they use their Quirks. The scruffy teacher watched with mild interest as the next students took position on the line to start. Izuku Midoriya...
He stepped up, focused on the plan he had thought up. Given each event, the only event where my Quirk won't be much help is the seated toe touch. I'll have to be careful not to overuse my Quirk again.
The robot next to the start line raised its robotic hand in the air, "Ready, Set….GO!"
Full Cowling. 8 percent. The second the robot called 'go', he called One for All throughout his whole body at 5 percent. However, he called 8 percent into his foot at the moment of take-off. This burst of speed carried him much farther than it would have at 5.As he broke into a sprint, he called 8 percent once more into his other foot and once again used the extra speed to great effect.
"4.32," the robot called out as Midoriya crossed the line.
Releasing One for All, Midoriya skitted to a stop and stood up. He rolled his ankle several times to make sure he wasn't injured from using 8 percent. I gotta be careful. I don't want to injure myself again…
Kendo dodged a kick thrown her way and counter-attacked with a palm strike aimed at Midoriya's chest. The teen jumped rolled left and used the momentum of the roll to throw a kick while standing on his hands. Thinking fast, Kendo enlarged one of her hands and used it as a shield. The force from the kick sent the girl skitting back a few feet and Midoriya saw a chance to take control of the fight. However, upon activating his Quirk, the pain that came from his foot caused him to trip to the ground.
"You Ok, Midoriya." Fusen stood from the edge of the patio overlooking the training field.
"Yeah," nodded the teen. "Just overused my Quirk is all." Midoriya tried to put weight on his foot but a small bit of pain stopped him from putting on any more.
It didn't go unnoticed by Fusen who clapped his hands, "Let's take a short break. Do you mind getting an ice pack from the infirmary Honey?"
Ichika nodded and rushed to retrieved the ice pack as Fusen helped Midoriya over to the edge where he had been sitting previously.
It had been a few weeks since he came to the Battle Fist Dojo and Midoriya had made progress in all aspects. With a few days till his and Kendo's first day at U.A., Midoriya was eager to take his abilities to the next level. When Master had told the two they would be sparring today, Midoriya decided to try something new he had thought of doing.
"You alright Midoriya," Kendo asked as she took a seat next to him.
He nodded, "I'm ok. It's just that the muscles in my foot kind of hurt. I think it is from overusing my Quirk."
"But this is the first time something has happened," Ichika handed Midoriya an ice pack who placed it on his ankle. "Why would you're Quirk be hurting you now?"
Fusen, who had his hands on his shin, asked, "It wouldn't have something to do with your slight increase in speed would it."
Kendo nodded her head, "I noticed that too. Your kicks also feel like they have a little more force behind them than they usually do.."
All the members of the Kendo looked at him curiously. Their gazes made him slightly nervous but he answered, "Y-Yeah. You see… Normally when I use my Quirk, I keep the output at five percent."
"So you won't injure your body as you did at the Entrance exam," Fusen added.
"Yeah. I've already tried to raise the power beyond that, but the result makes my muscles ache afterward and there is a chance that my body will get hurt since it can't handle that power output yet. So I was trying a workaround."
Ichika tilted her head curiously, "a workaround?"
"Right at the moment I need to, I temporarily increase the power on one part of my body from five to eight. Like when I would start to run, I would put eight percent just into my leg at the moment I push off the ground. Or when my attack would hit you Kendo."
"I see," Fusen nodded in understanding. "This way you limit the overall strain on your body, but you still receive the same benefits as if you were using the power through your body,"
"Exactly." The concept isn't exactly something new to me, Thought Midoriya. Back when I was learning to use Air Force, I would increase the amount in a finger to create a blast of air. And I would do the same thing with my legs while I was at Endeavor's Agency to increase my overall speed. The difference in power output between 30 and 45 is much more than the five to eight I'm using now, but it is still enough to make a difference.
"So, then the reason your foot hurt is that you used the higher limit too much."
Kendo's voice snapped the teen back to reality and he nodded in response. "That's quite a clever way to get around the shortcoming of your Quirk," Ichika nodded with a smile.
"Was today your first time trying this new technique?" Fusen's question received a nod and he continued, "Then try to be mindful of how much you fight in this way. Make sure you have a proper understanding of your limits so you don't hurt yourself in the future."
Midoriya smiled and nodded, "Yes Master."
No pain came from his leg and he gave a satisfied nod. I can use eight percent in the Ball throwing, standing long jump, and grip strength. Using it so rapidly during the side-to-side stepping would be counterproductive. Same with endurance running and upper body training. I should be able to complete the rest of the test without using too much of One for All. Out of mild curiosity, Midoriya looked over to see if Bakugo noticed his speed. And to his surprise, the explosion user had already moved on to the next station. I guess he isn't in the mood to wait up for me. Well, I prefer this to him charging at me like he did last time.
"Midoriya, that was insane!" The Quirk inheritor snapped out of his own thoughts to see someone running up to him. To his surprise, it looked like a floating gym uniform. "That speed was insane. You're really fast."
"Thanks, h," Midioriya stopped himself before he said the girl's name before being introduced.
"Oh, my bad. I totally should have introduced myself. I'm Toru Hagakure. Nice to meet you," The invisible girl bowed politely.
He smiled back, "It's nice to meet you Hagakure."
"But seriously, your speed is top-notch. I only managed to get 7.30 seconds. Barely faster than my middle school record."
"You don't have to compare the two of us Hagakure," Midoriya gave the girl a smile. "Our Quirks are just better suited for different things. When it comes to stealth, you have me beat."
Hagakure's arm reached up as she scratched the back of her head, "Aww. That's sweet of you to say. You're making me blush."
Not that I can see it, Thought the teenage boy.
"Anyway, I just wanted to say how awesome that was, and keep it up!" The walking tracksuit jogged over to the next station and left Midoriya to his thoughts.
Hagakure is chipper as always. I may not know her as well when compared to the others, but she's always had a very positive outlook. Infected by the girl's attitude, he made his way over to the second test which was the grip strength.
Like the dash, some students excelled at the test of raw strength while others struggled. "Wow!" Sero cried out as he watched Shoji. "540 kg!? Are you some sort of Gorilla?! Or an octopus!?" Midoriya smiled as he turned to watched Sato achieve 198 kg with a lollipop stick in his mouth.
I know I won't be able to reach the same level as Shoji without going over eight percent, but… Finally calling One for All, he repeated what he had done for the 50-meter dash. Right at the moment, he squeezed the grip, increasing the amount of power, and held the device for several seconds. A beep signaled that the device had its record and Midoriya was happy with the result. 209, he thought as he shook his hand. Leagues are better than the 56 I got in the past.
Before he could think more about the past, he heard someone whisper under their breath, "Damn."
He had thought it was Bakugo at first but it turned out to be Jiro. The look on her face was easy to read as annoyance. Midoriya noticed that the girl and wrapped her earphone jacks around the grip device, pulling the extended cords tight to help increase her strength. The girl looked up from the screen of the device and saw Midoriya looking at her. "You need something," asked the girl in a slightly annoyed tone.
"N-no no-no, sorry I just heard you say something so I looked up to see and I saw you pulling with your jacks to improve your strength and how smart that is and..."
Midoriya continued to stutter nervously and Jiro's look of annoyance changed to one of confusion. "Hey, Midoriya…"
"Hmm," he snapped back to reality and realized what he had said. "Sorry, I tend to stutter a bit."
She cocked an eyebrow, "You know, for the guy who got first on the entrance exams, you're not what I expected."
All the teen did was let out a nervous chuckle, "Thanks." Unsure of where to take the conversation, he decided to try and help. "What did you get," he asked holding up the device. The girl contemplated what to do for several seconds, but decided to show the other teen. 68. Part of Midoriya was embarrassed that she had even managed to beat his score in the past but he kept that to himself. "That's pretty impressive considering your Quirk isn't strength-related."
"Still. I need it to be better," Jiro's face hardened once again. "I don't want to go home before I've even started."
One thing Midoriya had learned about Jiro in their time at U.A. together was that Jiro was almost as self-conscious as he was. So, Midoriya decided it was best to try and encourage his classmate, "Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. Just look at Mineta." The green-haired teen pointed over at the pervert and the two saw him on his hands and knees, tears streaming down his face. His grip device layed next to him reading out 39.
Midoriya saw Jiro hold back some laughter and it made him happy to see the girl feel better. "Don't worry about what you can't do. Doing that will only hold you back. Just think about what you can do."
"Thanks, Midoriya," the girl gave him a thankful smile. "I don't know if I ever said my name, but I'm Kyoka Jiro."
"Nice to meet you Jiro. Let's do our best!"
Jiro nodded in determination and made her way to the next station, placing her grip tester inside a box. Good to see I helped raise her spirits a little. Jiro's really amazing as both a hero and musician. The song she wrote for the festival was amazing and her singing was incredible too. She also played an important role in the joint training on Bakugo's team.
Midoriya shook the thoughts from his head refocused on the present. He followed her lead and went over to the standing long jump. Like the dash, The event was done in pairs. Bakugo did very well in this event since his Quirk kept him airborne for longer periods of time. Aoyama's laser also propelled him quite the distance. Stepping up to the line, Midoriya repeated his plan once again. The robot called to go and One for All energized his body and with the push of his legs, flew forward across the sandpit. The teen landed with a thud on the soft surface while the robot called out, "410 cm."
Nice, Thought Midoriya. Way better than my 240 in the past.
"You're really something Midoriya, ribbit."
The 'ribbit' all but made it clear how was approaching him and he looked to see a girl with green hair. "My name is Tsuyu Asui."
"Nice to meet you, Asui."
"Jumping is kind of my specialty thanks to my Quirk. So I'm really glad I was able to at least beat you at the long jump. But it looks like you did really good too."
Midoriya chuckled in embarrassment at the praise the frog girl was giving him. "Your Quirk does look really impressive. You got a 488."
"Thanks. But I still have a long way to go before I can call myself a hero."
He nodded, "All of us do. But that's why we're here."
"I guess you're right. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello," Tsuyu gave a wave as she began to walk away towards the side-to-side jumping. "Good luck Midoriya."
"You too Asui."
"Call me Tsu from now on, okay Midoriya?"
"O-ok, A-I mean Tsu," nervously corrected himself. Tsuyu continued to walk away and his mind went to the frog girl he knew in the past. Tsu's an incredible hero and really easy to work with. Back during the Shie Hassaikai raid, she and the rest of Ryuku's team stopped that large villain that burst through the gates. Even if she can be a little blunt at times, she's really easy to rely on.
"Midoriya…"
The Quirk inheritor was snapped out of his introspection by Iida who had noticed him spacing out. "Oh, Iida."
"Everyone's moved on to the next exercise. It would be best not to fall behind," advised the speedster.
"R-right."
Much like in the previous test, Midoriya improved dramatically thanks to Full Cowling. And like before, some of his other classmates outperformed him in this exercise specifically. Mainly Mineta, who used his Quirk to bounce back and forth an absurd amount of time. Even Bakugo and Todoroki couldn't reach close to the same number of side steps.
Finally, Everyone gathered around for the ball throwing.
Uraraka touched the ball with the pads on her fingers. "And here we go!" The zero gravity user tossed the ball and the whole class watched it sail into the sky. Five minutes turned into ten and the ball had long disappeared from sight. Aizawa's handheld device finally beeped and he showed the score to the class.
"Infinity!?" Almost everyone had the same reaction to her score.
"Wow! The infinity Symbol actually popped up," Kaminari said in shock.
"That's seriously insane," agreed Sero.
Aizawa recorded the score into his device and called out for the next person. "Midoriya. You're next."
Said teen took a deep breath as the class watched him make his way over to Aizawa to grab a softball. I can do this. I'll just use eight percent like I have been doing and I'll throw the ball the best I can. Sure I won't reach as far as Bakugo, but it will be good enough.
"Midoriya…" The teen looked up to Aizawa who was looking at him intently. "I'll be frank Midoriya, I initially thought you weren't cut out for the Hero Course. I saw how you broke your limbs during that ridiculous entrance exam. If you intended to use your quirk and incapacitate yourself again, I would have stopped you by erasing your Quirk."
I know he would have, Thought Midoriya as he looked back on the past.
"You've got the same reckless mindset as All Might, but if your Quirk only let you save one person. Then there's no way you could have become a hero with that power of yours." Aizawa paused in order to let his words sink in. "But as I said, that was only my initial impression. You showed control over your Quirk not only today but back at the exam. On top of that, you appear to be slightly more agile than you were a month ago. Which tells me you weren't resting on your laurels in the time between the exam and now. You also appear to be more rational than some of your classmates."
A few of the other students muttered about what the two were talking about as they were too far away to be heard. Iida placed his fingers on his chin, "it appears that Midoriya is receiving some special instructions from Mr. Aizawa."
"Yeah. Instructions to leave. That worthless Deku isn't meant to be here." Bakugo's tone was a mix of annoyance and simmering anger.
Iida seemed taken aback by his words, "How can you say that?! Have you not been paying attention to how he's done on the previous exercises?!" His question went unanswered and he asked, genuinely shocked by the explosion user. "Just how vain are you?!"
Meanwhile, Midoriya was glad to hear he was receiving praise from Aizawa rather than being scrutinized. But it also made him feel weird as praise was something the teacher rarely gave out. "Thank you, Sir-"
"However…" The scruffy teacher cut the teen off. "I reserve the right to change my opinion of you at a moment's notice. So impress me, Izuku Midoriya." With those final words, Aizawa stepped back to let Midoriya throw the ball.
All Might, worried about his protege hid behind a wall to observe the exercise. Aizawa hates media appearances. Says it interferes with his work. Midoriya, how will you exceed the expectations of such a person.
Midoriya contemplated what to do now that he, although not directly, had been challenged much in the same way as he had in the past. I know I told myself I wouldn't use more than eight percent, but… Aizawa-sensei. I'll show you I'm meant to be here! Filled with new resolve, he pulled his arm back for the throw.
Aizawa put some eye drops into his eye, Will he give it his all and go down swinging? Or Shirk away from the challenge altogether. Or will he settle...
I'll put it all into this throw. Just like I did last time. Right at the last moment. The teen's arm came flying forward and everything happened in slow motion. I'll give it my all in the smallest way possible… with full power! Just as the ball left his hand, One for All surged through his finger at 100 percent. "Now! Smash!"
The whole class, including Bakugo, watched as the ball flew into the sky with a powerful shockwave accompanying it.
The device beeped and showed the distance. Aizawa was surprised to see that he had beaten Bakugo's score. 705.3. The teacher looked over to Midoriya and saw that the boy's finger was broken much in the same way his legs had been at the exam. He utilized his full power, but only in his fingertip. Maximizing his power while limiting the damage to himself.
"Sensei!" Aizawa looked up to see Midoriya, still in a little bit of pain, wearing a smile with eyes full of fire and determination. "How was that…"
The teacher's face grew into a smile, "This kid…"
While the class marveled at Midoriya's strength. All Might off to side noted what Midoriya had done. Young Midoriya. That was so cool!
"Wow! Now that's a hero-like record if I ever saw one." Uraraka jumped for joy seeing her new friend succeed.
Iida placed his fingers on his chin and noted, "His fingers appear to be swollen like his legs at the exam. What a strange Quirk…"
Aoyama just snapped his fingers, "Stylishly done."
Bakugo looked at the scene in front of him with complete shock as he tried to make sense of what happened. What the…! Quirks never manifest past the age of four, but it really happened. How did this worthless Deku get a Quirk? Bakugo's mind went to their interaction back at their middle school. He said 'I earned this'. The water finally boiled over and Bakugo ran at the other teen while firing off a few explosions in his hand. "WHAT THE HELL?! Explain yourself, Deku!"
The green-haired teen started to back away to avoid Bakugo's wrath. Before the two got close, A thin piece of cloth wrapped around the explosion user and said explosions stopped coming from his hands. "What the?! This cloth is so stiff."
"It's a capture weapon made of carbon fibers and special alloy wire. Stop using your Quirk already." Everyone looked up to see their homeroom teacher with his hair floating in the air. "I'm getting dry eye over here."
The class couldn't help but be intimidated by their teacher's display of skill. "Woah. He stopped Bakugo like it was nothing," Sato said in surprise.
"What's up with his hair though? And his eyes," Kaminari questioned aloud.
"It's a part of his Quirk." They all looked over to see Midoriya rejoin the class, having gotten away from Bakugo. "Shota Aizawa. The Pro hero Eraser Head. His Quirk lets him erase the Quirk of anyone he's looking at so long as he doesn't blink."
"That's incredible," added Ojiro. "But how come I've never heard of him before?"
"Yeah. With a Quirk like that, you'd think he would be more famous," Tsuyu added.
"He's an underground hero," clarified Midoriya. "He doesn't like to make appearances with the media. So not a lot of people have heard of him."
"If you're done listing off my resume," Aizawa's hair dropped down and he pulled his capture scarf back to release Bakugo. "The next person, get ready."
Uraraka went over to Midoriya to make sure he was okay and Yaoyorozu stepped up to the plate. Up until now… he was just another pebble in my path, but...Bakugo clenched his fist in annoyance. He wasn't supposed to be more than a pebble in my path!
Midoriya did his best in the rest of the events despite his broken finger. Thankfully, he was able to power through the pain much better than he had done in the past. Of course, he was outclassed by his other classmates. Yaoyorozu had made a scooter for the endurance running test which, according to Aizawa, was well within the rules since she made it with her Quirk. Finally, it was the moment of truth…
"Moving along. It's time for the results."
The whole class was gathered around Aizawa as he fished his device out of his pocket. "Your total scores simply reflect your performance in each event. Explaining the process would be a waste of time, so all you get is the final rankings."
As he spoke, Midoriya contemplated his placement in the rankings. I know I won't get last at least. My finger definitely hurt my performance in the other tests but overall, I did well. The difference in skill between him now and the past was like night and day and it did fill him with a bit of pride.
Tapping the screen on his device, Aizawa projected the leader board.

11th- Ochako Uraraka
12th- Koji Koda
13th- Rikido Sato
14th- Tsuyu Asui
15th- Yuga Aoyama
16th- Hanta Sero
17th- Denki Kaminari
18th- Kyoka Jiro
19th-Toru Hagakure
20th- Minoru Mineta
Some of the class breathed sighs of relief that they weren't at the bottom. Mineta appeared to be some kind of husk as all the life and color had left his body in an instant.
"Also, I was Lying about expelling someone," Said Aizawa casually. His words were met with a pregnant silence and smiled. "That was a rational deception to bring out the best in all of you."
"WHAT!"
"Well of course it was a lie. Didn't take much to figure it out." Yaoyorozu scratched her cheek, "Maybe I should have said something."
Yeah, you should have, thought the whole class.
Some of the colors returned to Mineta's face and the small teen fell to his knees. "Thank you, God, for giving me a second chance."
Aizawa shut off the display and began to walk away. "Anyway. We're done here. Your documents about the curriculum and such are back in the classroom. Give Them a look. And Midoriya." The teacher pulled a nurse slip out of his pocket and handed it to the teen. "Have Recovery Girl fix you up. Tomorrow won't be any easier."
"Yes sir," nodded the teen.
"Good. Class dismissed." The scruffy teacher walked away in the direction of the principles office, knowing that Principal Nezu would want to know why his class wasn't at the ceremony.
"Aizawa you big fat liar!"
"All Might...so you were watching. Good to know you don't mind wasting time."
All Might laughed, "A 'rational' deception. April Fool's day was over a week ago. Last year you expelled an entire class of first years. You have a reputation for mercilessly discarding those with zero prospects. But now you go back on your word!?" The large hero pointed a finger at Aizawa. "Could it be that boy, Midoriya… you see his potential as well."
Aizawa scanned the number one hero's face for a second before saying, "As well. You will be supporting him hm... That's not usually your style All Might."
Shit…. Thought All Might, worried he revealed too much.
Uninterested in having a chat with the other hero, Aizawa continued his pace. "But we'll see how far he can go. If he had zero chance, I would have already cut him loose. There's nothing crueler than letting someone chase their half-baked dreams."
All Might said nothing to that and just watched the other teacher walk. So this is your version of kindness. Aizawa…
Midoriya's first day back at U.A. had been just as eventful as it was in the past. The green-haired teen stood waiting outside by the school entrance to walk home after getting healed by Recovery Girl. "I'm pooped," he spoke out loud. Part of me really wishes I hadn't broken my finger. I'm so tired now that I'm not sure I'm going to be able to stay awake much longer. He clenched his hand a few times and felt no pain from his finger. On the other hand, I'm… glad I made an impression on Aizawa-sensei.
"How's your finger Midoriya?"
Jumping slightly in surprise, Midoriya turned to see it was only just Iida. "Oh hey, Iida. I'm Fine thanks to Recovery Girl." he opened and closed his hand to show he was ok.
"Glad to hear that you are alright. That was quite the feat back there. But Aizawa-sensei sure fooled us. He made me think 'this is how it is at the top.' Our own teacher deceived us like that."
"I'm just glad nobody got expelled."
"Hey, you two!" Behind the two boys, Uraraka came running out of the school waving her hands. "Heading to the station? Wait up!"
Iida smiled, "Ah, you're the infinity girl, correct?"
The green-haired teen held back the urge to chuckle while she introduced herself properly. "I'm Ochaco Uraraka! You're Tenya Iida and Midoriya… Deku right?!"
He chuckled, "Actually my name is Izuku Midoriya. Nice to officially meet you."
Uraraka tilted her head in mild curiosity, "Really, but earlier during the tests, that Bakugo guy called you Deku. Right?"
"I heard that as well," added Iida.
"Well," Midoriya scratched the back of his head. "Deku is just a nickname Kacchan calls me. Cause it's another way of spelling my name which means useless."
"So, it's a derogatory pet name," Iida surmised.
"Oh ok. Sorry then," she bowed her head in apology. "But I kind of like it. It sounds like the word for you can do it. Plus it sounds kind of cute."
"You can call me Deku if you want," blushed Midoriya.
Before either Iida or Uraraka could get another word in, A third voice cut into the conversation. "Did you wait long Midoriya?"
"Kendo." The green-haired teen smiled.
The redhead strode over to the group. "Hope I didn't make you wait too long." The martial artist looked back and forth between the other students of 1-A. "Are these guys some of your classmates?"
"Yeah," nodded Midoriya and politely introduced his new friends."This is Tenya Iida and Ochaco Uraraka."
"It's nice to meet you," said the two of them.
"Hey. I'm Itsuka Kendo from 1-B," she said giving a friendly wave.
"Is she a friend of your Midoriya," asked Iida.
He nodded, "I've been training at her family's Dojo since after the entrance exam. We meet each other around then."
"We live in the same direction, you two care to join us? Maybe you can tell me why your class wasn't at the entrance ceremony on the way to the station."
Kendo's offer was accepted by the two and the group of four began to idly chat about the events of the day while on their way home. While the other three spoke about Aizawa-sensei's test. Midoriya couldn't help but think ahead. Tomorrow… The test really begins.
CHAPTER FOUR: END
Author's notes:
Don't worry everyone. I'm am most certainly not dead. I know it's been a couple of months since the last update, but stuff has been crazy here at home. Since about June, shit's just kind of hit the fan which had lead to me trying to find my own place. It took some time but I'm set to move in October so things may get better around then.
But I'm glad I was finally able to introduce the supporting cast in this chapter, including sleeping bad daddy Aizawa.
As I said, it may be a while once again before another chapter is put out, but I'll do my best. Go and read my other story, Hardcore Leveling Hero, if you're interested.
See you all next time :)
