The next day after the test Aizawa-sensei gave us, we began our normal school routine and everyone settled in nicely.

At the front of the 1-A classroom stood Present Mic scribing English sentences on the board from the textbook. "Who can find the mistake in the following English sentences," asked the loud hero to an uninterested class.

So boring, thought several of the students in unison.

Just then the screeching of a chair was heard as a hand rose at lightning speed. Present Mic pointed with a big grin, "Midoriya?!"

"It's number four," said the greenette.

"Correct," the teacher said with a thumbs up. "Way to show some spirit!"

Everyone, aside from Bakugo who clicked his teeth in annoyance, looked over to Midoriya as he sat down in his seat and began to take notes once again.

This continued throughout the day until lunchtime, where we all ate in the cafeteria…

'I've missed Lunch Rush's food,' thought Midoriya as he scarfed down a bowl of Katsudon prepared by the cook hero.

"Man, Lunch Rush's food is amazing," said Uraraka with full cheeks.

Ida nodded with the girl's words, "For the regular price of normal school lunch, we have the opportunity to eat delicious food. That's U.A. for you."

The three of them continued to mingle about their impressions of U.A. so far, especially their Homeroom teacher and his 'unorthodox' attitude. As they spoke, another pair of footsteps came closer to them. "Got room for two more?"

All three class A students looked over to the voice and Ida smiled and said, "Kendo, please join us. The more the merrier as they say."

"Hey Kendo," Uraraka waved. "Is this someone in your class?"

The redhead nodded, "Yeah. This is Setsuna Tokage from my class."

"Was up," waved the girl casually with a big smile. "Kendo said she had met a couple of you guys in 1-A so I wanted to meet you. Mingle and stuff like that you know."

Ida and Uraraka exchanged pleasantries with the green-haired girl of 1-B while Midoriya looked back on his past memories of the girl. I don't really know her all that well, he thought. But I guess that is true for most of 1-B. She got into U.A. via academic recommendation like Yaoyorozu so she's really smart and she's a good leader if her strategy in the joint training exercise is anything to go on. Even if she did end up losing to Kacchan's team.

"And who are you?"

Midoriya snapped out of his own thoughts to see that the girl he was thinking about was staring at him, waiting for his introduction. "Oh right. I'm Izuku Midoriya. It's nice to meet you Tokage."

"So YOU'RE Izuku Midoriya," Tokage's eye widened as she sized up the teen. She sat down her tray next to him, "First on the written exam and first on the practical. And not half bad looking too." The grin on the girl's face grew and she asked, "Are you single Midoriya?"

The other three were silent at Tokage's forward attitude and looked at Midoriya. For several seconds the teen was completely silent until his face turned completely red, making him look more like a tomato than human.. "I- I'm not s-sure I don't h-have…"

His words were a complete mess and a mixture of mumbling and sheer nonsense. Tokage just laughed as the teen mumbled. "Oh you're funny Midoriya," she said slapping the teen on the back and snapping out of his trance. "I would have thought you were some arrogant asshole with all that power and brains you have, but you seem like a nice guy."

Still shaken by her flirtatious comment, he shakily smiled, "T-thank you."

"Anyway…" Kendo sat on the other side of Midoriya and began to change the subject. "Are you guys ready for our first day of hero basic training?"

Uraraka nodded her head, "Yeah! It's going to be super awesome."

"Real Hero training, I'm sure it will be quite the challenge. All the more reason to give it our all," Ida nodded.

The other four began to speculate about what they might do but Midoriya, who already knew what was in store, thought, our first class of Hero training. It's when I fought Kacchan for the first time. It's going to be tough but I can do this…

And so the time finally came, afternoon classes began and it was time for hero basic training.

"I am…"

All of class 1-A shot their eyes to the door, every single one of them hearing the booming voice of a hero they knew all too well.

"Coming through the door like normal!"

"Wow, It's really All Might," Kaminari said as the man walked joyfully into the classroom. "He's going to teach us!"

Kirishima shared the other teen's enthusiasm. "That's his silver age costume! Man, he looks even cooler in person."

"Alright, It's time for hero basic training. As I'm sure you're aware, this class will put you through all sorts of training to mold you into the ideal heroes! So there's no time to delay! Today's activity is…" Reaching into a pocket on his costume, All Might pulled out a card with the word battle written on it. "Battle Training is the name of the game today."

Midoriya could feel the grin on Bakugo's face grow wider as dark energy radiated from his body. Scary, thought the teen.

"And for this training, you'll need these," All Might pulled out a remote and pressed a button. Panels on the wall began to extrude out revealing numbered briefcases. "In accordance with the 'Quirk Registry' and special request forms you filled out before being admitted."

Several of the other students stood up from their chairs in excitement as they began to understand, "Costumes."

Midoriya clutched his backpack with a smile, "costumes."

"Like I said there's no time to delay, your costumes are labeled with your seat number. Get changed and meet me out at Ground Beta. Got it?"

"OKAY!" Cheered the class.

All Might stood on the main street in Ground Beta, just outside of the entrance tunnel. The wind fluttered his cape as he heard the sound of approaching footsteps. "They say clothes make the man, young men and ladies. Look alive! Because starting today… YOU'RE ALL HEROES!"

Class 1-A stood proudly in their hero costumes, ready and eager to tackle the challenges of the hero course. Everyone emerged from the tunnel and lined up in front of All Might. The final students emerged from the tunnel, his iron soles clicking on the ground as he adjusted his gloves. I'm ready… he thought as the sunlight shined in his face.

Finally getting the chance to look over his costume, he was glad the support company had implemented all of the designs he had given to them. They were able to make all of my support items I had in the past, he thought going over his costume. His iron soles, air force gauntlets, arm and leg braces were all constructed almost identical to what he had in the past. There was some variance in the items as Midoriya had to go off memory when supplying his information for the request form. An example of this was the 'kick back' mechanisms in his iron soles. Before, his soles and a firing mechanism would go off when he attacked, adding additional power to his attacks. These new ones lacked that as the mechanism had slipped his mind when submitting his form. I'll have to go to the support studio soon so they can add the mechanism of that back in.

Of course, he couldn't ignore the base of his whole costume. The green jumpsuit reminded him of his mother.

Inko Midoriya typed away at her laptop in the living room of their home. The matriarch of the Midoriya family didn't notice that her son had behind her. "Mom?"

His mother shot out of her seat in surprise as she quickly turned around to face her son. "O-oh h-hi honey how are you?"

"What are you do-" Midoirya didn't even finish his sentence as he saw the screen of his mother's laptop. It displayed a website where one could buy a familiar-looking jumpsuit.

"N-nothing Sweetie," She waved her hands in front of the monitor, trying to hide it from her son to little success. Inko saw the expression on her son's face and she sighed in defeat. Grabbing the laptop she showed the screen to her son. "I know it's a bit too early, but I wanted to get you a present to congratulate you on getting into U.A."

Inko looked down with shame and embarrassment as she sat down her laptop, "One time, when you fell asleep at your desk I noticed your open notebook so I wanted to get you something to use for your costume."

Her voice saddened as she said, "Back then, I said something aw-"

She didn't get the chance to finish her sentence as she was embraced by her son. "Izuku h-honey!?"

"It's ok mom," he said while hugging her tight. "Back then, you had every right to say what you said. What I wanted was impossible. To be a hero without a Quirk." He thought about the talk he had with All Might on the rooftop after clinging to his leg. "I'm very lucky that I have a chance to chase after this dream I've had since I was a kid and I'm going to do my best." He released his mother from his warm hug and smiled widely at her, "So please… cheer me on!"

Inko was at a complete loss for words as tears welled up in her eyes. "OH, MY BABY BOY!" She pulled her son in again and hug him tight while crying into his shirt. "I will! I'll cheer for you with everything I got!"

The teen smiled widely as he hugged his mother, I know you feel guilty about what you said, but it doesn't matter anymore. I got as far as I did in the past cause others believed in me. Not just you but everyone in the class, All Might, Gran Torino, Sir Nighteye, Mirio-senpai, Eri… Everyone believed in me. And now, I will take that belief and Become strong enough to save you all.

After some time, the Midoriyas' finally separated and Izuku scratched his head nervously, "Umm… Mom, could the color of my jumpsuit be dark green?"

He clutched the fabric of the suit and smiled from ear to ear. This suit symbolizes mom's love and belief in me. I'll wear it with pride.

"Ah, Deku," Uraraka turned towards the teen as she was adjusting her helmet. "Your costume looks amazing. Very practical looking."

"Thanks," he smiled back. "Your's look great too."

"I wish I'd been a bit more specific on my request form," She nervously scratched her head, "Having a skin-tight suit is a bit embarrassing."

"I think it suits your Quirk well," nodded Midoriya. "The lighter your suit, the less strain it puts on your quirk."

"I didn't think of that. Your smart, Deku."

The greenette scratched the back of his neck nervously but snapped back to reality when he heard All Might call out. "Shall we begin, my young wards! It's time for battle training."

"Sensei," Ida, clad in his armor, raised his hand. "This is the flax city used in the entrance exam correct? Will we be once again performing cityscape maneuvers?"

All Might shook his head, "Nope! You'll be moving two steps ahead! Indoor antipersonnel battle training." He raised his finger, "While most villain battles are most commonly seen outdoors… statistically, the most heinous villains are more likely to appear indoors." This information caught the attention of some of the students and All Might coughed into his wrist. "Between confinement, house arrest, and black market deals. In this hero-filled society of ours, the cleverest villains lurk indoors, in the shadows." He placed his hands on his hips, "You'll split into teams of two and half of you will be heroes and the other will be villains. Then you'll face off in two-on-two indoor battles!"

This detail seemed rather surprising to the class and Asui raised her hand, "so no basic training."

All Might opened his mouth but Midoriya said, "I can see why we're doing it this way. Having us fight other people is better than fighting robots as we can come up with more creative strategies and consider variables that we wouldn't expect. Experience is the best teacher"

While surprised by his input, All Might smiled at his pupil. "Young Midoriya is correct."

"So how will victory be determined," Yaoyorozu asked.

Bakugo simply grinned, "Can I just blast everyone away?"

"Are you threatening to expel someone, like Aizawa-sensei did," asked a nervous Uraraka.

Ida raised his hand once again, "How do we proceed to divide up the teams?"

"How fabulous is my cape," Aoyama asked while waving his cape.

"One at a time! My Quirk isn't super hearing!"

Like in the past, All Might pulled out a cheat sheet and began to explain the details of the exercise. Knowing everything about the exercise, Midoriya looked over at Bakugo. When we first fought here, he was so angry with me. Thinking that I lied to him, messed with him as some sort of joke. But it wasn't that at all. It wasn't until our second fight after the license exam that we began to see eye-to-eye. He thought back to the talk they had with All Might after their fight, I'm ready Kacchan… Ready for you to come at me with everything you've got!

"Your battle partners will be determined by lots," said All Might, snapping Midoriya back to reality.

Ida was shocked at this news and said, "Is that really the best way!?"

"Pros often have to team up on the spot with other heroes during an emergency," Midoriya added once again.

"I see," nodded the speedster. "Apologizes for getting ahead of myself. My mistake!"

"It's fine! Let's just get to it!"

And so everyone in the class drew lots to determine the team make up. Quite sure that he would be with Uraraka again, Midoriya didn't think too much of it until they grouped up…

Team A: Ojiro and Sero

Team B: Bakugo and Mineta

Team C: Uraraka and Shoji

Team D: Jiro and Midoriya

Team E: Kirishma and Kaminari

Team F: Ashido and Koda

Team G: Asui and Sato

Team H: Ida and Tokoyami

Team I: Yaoyorozu and Hagakure

Team J: Todoroki and Aoyama

Midoriya simply stood in disbelief as Everyone got into groups. WHAT!? Why am I with Jiro?! I should be with Uraraka and be going against Kacchan.

Suddenly the teen felt a tap on his shoulder which made him jump slightly. "Guess we're on a team Midoriya," said Jiro.

Although surprised, he nodded, "R-right, let's do our best."

"And now I'll draw lots to determine who will be first up," All Might said while reaching into two boxes labeled hero and villain.

Right the lots, Thought Midoriya. Teams were decided at random. Compared to the entrance exam, which is set up via a system to make sure students from the same school can't work together. The young teen cursed himself for overlooking something as simple as this, I guess some things aren't going to be exactly the same as they were in the past, not when there's random chance involved. Although disappointed that he wouldn't be fighting Bakugo, he looked back to All Might who pulled out the lots.

"Team D will be Heros and Team A will be Villains. The villain team goes in first! The timer starts in five minutes when the Hero team sneaks in. Everyone else will watch in the monitor room with me." Out of his pocket, All Might pulled out a set of earpieces, "Both teams take these, their communicators that will let you talk to your teammate. I will also be able to hear and give instructions. Young Sero and Ojiro, you boys need to adopt a villain's mindset, this is a practical experience so go all out. Though I will stop you if you take things too far. Understood?"

The four participants gave a nod and All Might said, "Alright, let's get this show on the road!

Everyone began to move in the direction of the monitor room, Midoriya's eyes met Bakugo's who glared at him in anger. I guess he wanted to fight me too, he thought. But I'm pretty sure it's not for the same reason.

"Yo Midoriya." Turning his attention back to reality, Sero and Ojiro walked over to the Hero team. "Just cause you got first on the practical, doesn't mean you hold back now." Sero rolled his shoulders with a big smile on his face, "Same goes for you Jiro. We're coming at you with everything we've got."

Although disappointed he wasn't going to be fighting Bakugo, he refocused on the task at hand. Bakugo or not, this is still class. I have to do my best. "I know," he nodded. "Let's do our best." With that Ojiro and Sero walked into the building to prepare their defenses.

From the monitor room, All Might lean over the center console with the rest of the class watching the various monitors. "Alright, both teams are in position and everyone is here in the monitor room. In five minutes, Hero team you may begin your infiltration."

"All Might," Midoriya called from over the radio. "I want to make sure my support items are working correctly. Is it Ok if I test them?"

"As long as you don't damage or enter the building before the timer starts."

"Ok." The radio went silent and Midoriya looked down at his hands, more specifically, the gloves he was wearing. I guess now's a good time to test to see if I can do it. Across the road in the city street, there were several trees and he figured they would make good targets. He aimed his hand at the tree and pulled back his finger to activate the Mechinsum in his gloves. It slid forward with a metallic click as he began to activate One for All. Just like before… Have the power output I can handle go throughout my whole body and right at the moment of impact, increase it. Five percent of One for All flowed freely and held his breath as he let his finger go, increasing the power to eight percent at the last possible moment.

After making sure his finger wasn't damaged, he looked at the tree across the street to assess the damage. To his disappointment, the tree was still standing. The only damage done to it was some smaller branches being broken and some of the bark from where he aimed being ripped off. He sighed in defeat as he understood what the lack of damage meant.

"Umm… Midoriya?" Remembering where he was, Midoriya turned around quickly to see Jiro staring at him with the blueprints of the building in hand. "What are you doing?"

Slightly embarrassed that he got so engaged with what he was doing that he forgot the girl's presence. "O-Oh, I was J-just seeing if I could use my gloves the way I wanted to."

Jiro raised her eyebrow, "The way you want to? Do they not work or something?"

He scratched the back of his head, "The gloves work fine, it's me that's the problem." Seeing that the girl's expression was still confused, he continued. "Have you ever seen those air cannon toys?"

"Yeah," Jiro nodded. "What about them?"

"My gloves are kind of like those. They direct the air from my finger flicks in one direction, creating a strong blast of air. This way I would have some form of long-ranged attacks. At least that's the theory…" He looked down at his own hands, 20 percent is when I was able to use the wind pressure from my kicks. It was right before the cultural festival that I learned to use Air Force. He let out a defeated sigh, 20 percent is too high for my body to handle, even if it was just for a second. As it stands, I can't use Air Force as I did in the past. "I'm not strong enough to use them."

"Well, if it's any consolation. I don't think you'll need long ranged stuff inside a building," said Jiro.

Midoriya did crack a smile at his teammate's words, "I guess you're right." No use getting sad over spilled milk. "Thanks, Jiro."

She gave him a friendly smile, "Thank me after we've won this exercise. Speaking of which, got a plan in mind, Mr. First place."

With a little bit of blush on his cheeks, Midoriya nodded his head. "I might have something in mind. Tell me about your Quirk."

"Both Teams Ready… And Begin!" He pulled away from the radio and All Might turned to face the class. "Alright everyone, you may not be participating, but use this time to observe and learn from your classmate's performance." The class nodded and All Might picked up his clipboard. Sorry young Midoriya, but right now you are just another student. No favoritism.

"I'm curious how Ojiro and Sero will do against Midoriya," Sato crossed his arms.

Tokoyami nodded his head, "Their opponent appears to be quite formidable. He achieved a perfect score on the written exam so I can only wonder what kind of strategy he will come up with."

"And let's not forget about Jiro," Asui added.

"Either way, We should all pay attention closely," Yaoyorozu said to everyone.

Sero rubbed his hand against the last piece of tape he had laid down to make sure it was anchored down properly. "That should do it," he stepped back and looked across the spider web of tape he had made. It covered all over the room but focused on the door which served as the only entrance to the room. There were also a lot of strips webbed around the weapon they had to protect.

"You think this is going to be enough to stop Midoriya," Ojiro asked in the center of the room.

Sero shrugged, "Not sure. At the very least it should slow him down. We saw how fast he was yesterday during the test Aizawa-sensei gave, but this is going to be our first time seeing him fight."

"We're going in blind," Ojiro acknowledged.

"But we can do this… We're on the top floor and there's only one entrance to this room, which we got covered," he pointed to the web of tape he had created. "Once Midoriya gets caught in my tape, we'll wrap him up, catch Jiro and we'll be the winners."

"Alright, They should be on their way up here so let's get ready," Ojiro said as they took the positions they had talked about. Sero was in the front so he could capture Midoriya as quickly as possible and Ojiro took up a combat stance behind him.

Eager and ready for a fight, the two waited patiently for the Hero team to come at them. But after what felt like minutes, the duo showed no signs of coming through the door.

With his eyebrow raised, Sero asked, "you think they got-"

"SMASH!"

Catching the two flax-villains off guard, Midoirya, followed by Jiro, entered the room in a way neither of them expected. Through the ceiling! Thought Sero and Ojiro in unison.

"Jiro, Now!"

As instructed, Jiro nodded, "Right!" Plugging her jacks into her boots, She began to blast her heartbeat at the Sero and Ojiro. The vibrations from the attack managed to dislodge some of the strips of tape that had been strung around the room, but some remained.

The two had to cover their ears and close their eye as the sound waves made their heads spin. "That's so loud," Sero said while gritting his teeth. But suddenly the sound waves stopped and he was able to hear once again.

However, it was too late. Midoriya had charged in and was almost face to face with the tape user. Before Sero could react, Midoriya spun and delivered a powerful kick to his chest, sending Sero flying back into his own tape web. He tried to move but was stuck to the side of the weapon via his own tape and was completely immobilized.

Ojiro, now on his own, made his move and went towards Midoriya. He used his tail to launch himself into the air and began to spin to build up momentum for his attack. But like before, another sound wave attack came from Jiro and stunned the tail user for a second as he flew through the air helplessly.

With one swift motion, Midoriya launched into the air using his arms and sent Ojiro flying with a kick. So not only is he fast, he hits like a truck, thought the tail user as he rolled on the ground and laned next to Sero.

Now, before they recover. Midoriya once again dashed forward and grabbed a piece of tape that had come undone and held it carefully. With as much speed as he could muster, he place one end of his tape on Sero's chest and ran around the weapon to complete the loop. Once out of tape, he placed his hand on the side of the weapon.

In the control room, everyone watched the display of skill in complete awe. All Might was no exception and it took him a second to snap back to reality. Pulling the mic off the center console, he said, "Villains captured and Weapon secure. The Hero team wins!"

Now in the monitor room, Sero and Ojiro licked their wounds as the class applauded their effort.

"Alright, I think it might be obvious, but who's the V.I.P of the match," All Might questioned.

"Midoirya," said most of the class in unison.

Their words made the teen blush and All Might laughed, "I have to agree, but who can tell me why?"

Yaoyorozu called out while raising her hand, "I do, All Might-sensei." She cleared her throat and began, "While they had set up an adequate defense, Sero and Ojiro were too focused on stopping Midoirya that they failed to consider Jiro and what she might be capable of. As for Jiro, while she did an excellent job at supporting her teammate. It was Midoriya's strategy, ability to capitalize on the support given to him by his teammate, and faith in his teammate that the Hero team was able to achieve both conditions for victory."

The room was silent as they took in the words of the creation Quirk user. "Yes… that's correct," All Might said with a thumbs up. She said it better than I could have. "While we're talking about Strategies," the pro looked over to Midoriya. "Walk us through how you came up with this strategy."

With all eyes on him, he began, "Well…"

"You want to come through the ceiling," Jiro said in surprise.

Midoriya nodded his head, "It's the best way to get into the room that they're in."

"Hold on! Let's back up," Jiro waved her hand feverishly. "How do you know what room they're in?"

"Look at the blueprints of the building," stepping closer to Jiro, the two of them looked at the building blueprints and Midoriya pointed at the room on the top floor. "The room on the top floor is the only one with one entrance which they've most likely covered with Sero's tape. Plus, being on the top floor gives them the advantage cause it would take us longer to make sure they aren't on any of the floors below. It makes the most sense to place the weapon there so it's easiest to defend. We can use your Quirk to confirm their exact location, then we can move."

"Ok," Jiro seemed more certain of the plan but was still unsure. "But how are we going to get onto the roof. These blueprints don't show any kind of roof access."

This time, instead of pointing at the page, Midoriya pointed at the building next to the target building. "The building next to it has a fire escape on the side. We'll climb the fire escape and I can use my Quirk to get us onto the roof. There are no windows on the top floor so they wouldn't see us coming either."

"Alright, it's a good plan," admitted the rocker. "But how about when we get in. Like you said, Sero has probably laid down a lot of tape in order to slow us down. Plus, they're going to try and capture us as soon as we come in."

"Once we burst in, you'll hit them with your soundwaves. That, combined with the element of surprise, will stun them and catch them off guard. You'll only attack for a second or two and once you stop, I'll rush in and capture them. Sero first since he could easily capture us with his tape. You'll support me from the back as I rush in. If Ojiro tries to attack me, use your sound waves on him. After Sero is caught, we can either move to capture Ojiro or go to the weapon."

Having laid down the details of his plan, Midoirya looked at his teammate and found she was staring wide-eyed at him. "W-What?"

"I'm so glad I'm on your team," Jiro said folding up the blueprints. The greenette blushed at the comment and she continued, "Alright let's do this."

"And that's the basics of the plan I came up with." The greenette, focused on his explanation, finally looked up to see the whole class staring at him.

Scary, Thought several of them at once.

"Q-quite an impressive plan Young Midoriya." All Might's tone showed he was also surprised by the teen's in-depth plan of attack.

"I-it's nothing," smiled the teen. "I couldn't have done it without Jiro. Without her sensory abilities, I wouldn't have been able to confirm Sero and Ojiro's location. She also save me when Ojiro tried to come and attack me." He turned to his fellow teammate and gave her a big smile, "Thank you for your help, Jiro."

The honest smile from the Midoriya made Jiro blush and she turned away from him to hide her embarrassment. "Y-You're welcome."

Before anyone could add to that All Might said, "All right my young wards, let's not delay and move onto the next match." Pulling the lot boxes back out All Might once again, he pulled the next battle teams, "Team B will be the Heros and Team E will be the villains. Both teams, take an earpiece and Make your way to the target building."

Bakugo was the first to start making his move. He grabbed an earpiece from All Might and began to walk out of the monitor room. Not before bumping shoulders with Midoriya, sporting an irritating grin on his face while he did so.

Kacchan, Midoriya thought wistfully as he watched his childhood friend leave the monitor room.

Bakugo stood on the street outside of the target building while adjusting the gauntlets on his arms.

"S-so," Mineta, who was shaking out of fear of the explosion user spoke up finally. "M-maybe we should come up with a plan."

"Get in my way and I'll kill you."

The threat shut the small teen up while the flames fueled Bakugo's anger. That damn nerd. Ever since we got into U.A. he's been one step ahead. Since the sludge villain attack, he's been acting like a completely different person. And that Quirk of his. How the hell did he get one? Quirks manifest when we're kids and he was definitely Quirkless. He must have been lying to me for years. Making fun of me… Laughing at me behind my back.

In his ear Bakugo heard ALL Might begin to speak, "And… BEGIN!"

DON'T YOU DARE LOOK DOWN ON ME. Letting off two powerful explosions in his palms, Bakugo went flying towards the building at blinding speed.

Mineta could only watch as his teammate left him behind. "How can one guy be so scary," he said as he began running after his teammate.

Ahead, Bakugo blasted his way down the halls of the building in search of his targets. Using his explosions to turn down sharp corners and change direction with ease. He thought back to the plans of the building and moved to the room he thought the weapon was located in.

In a matter of moments, Bakugo was sailing towards the target door and he let out a big explosion as he reached them. The attack sent the doors flying off their hinges and smoke poured into the room.

Kirishima and Kaminari gulped as they saw Bakugo enter the room. "Coming at us all by yourself," Kirishima smiled, hardening his hands. "We won't go down that easy."

The electric Quirk user shook his head, "Dude, don't taunt him."

Not bothering to say anything, Bakugo launched forward for another attack. His speed caught the other two off guard and he let loose an explosion at Kirishima. Confident that his attack put the redhead out of commission, he turned to Kaminari. "Your turn you extra."

But before he could act on his threat, a fist came out from the smoke and Bakugo barely dodged the attack. "Nice try Bakugo. But I'm not going down that easy." Kirishima turned to his teammate, "Kaminari, I've got Bakugo. Watch my back, alright?"

The electric Quirk user simply nodded and Kirishima went on the offensive. Rushing towards Bakugo delivering a fury of punches at the teen. Bakugo dodged the blows as they came and in between blows would set off explosions that would seemingly bounce off Kirishima.

In the monitor room, everyone watched the exchange in excitement. "Go Kirishima," Mina cheered while jumping up and down.

"Kirishima is putting Bakugo on defense," Ida noted. "Using his Quirk's defensive capabilities for offense."

"Bakugo is doing well dodging Kishsima's attacks," Sato added.

This is just like the sports festival, Midoirya thought to himself, understanding where this fight was heading.

Back in the building, Bakugo was starting to get annoyed, more so than he already was. Kirishima threw a right hook and Bakugo ducked under it to deliver an explosion to the boy's body. However, this time he noticed Kirsishma's expression change. Pain mildly etched onto his face.

"Now I get it. You can harden your body, but there must be a limit to what you can take. Don't want to have a drawn-out battle with me." With a big grin on his face, he rushed in and delivered repeated explosions at Kirishima, who was forced to guard the attacks.

The hardened teen's feet slid backward on the ground from the force of the attacks. "Kaminari, Little help," he called out to his teammate."

Although unsure of the help he could actually provide, the electric user came in and tried to grab Bakugo. But he was too fast as he pointed his hand at the ground to blast himself upwards. Bakugo noticed the sparks of electricity that came from Kaminari. "So you were trying to zap me, huh? Not going to happen sparky!" Using another explosion he flipped away to gain some space from the other two.

"Kaminari, I'm going to try and grab him. Once I do, zap him with your electricity."

"I can't do that, I'd hit you too."

Kirishima shrugged, "It's the best plan we got. Let's do this."

"Maybe don't discuss your plan when I'm right in front of you!" Bakugo rushed forward and tried to attack Kirishima.

He hardened himself and braced for the attack, but it never came. Instead, Bakugo leaped over him with an explosion and attacked Kaminari. "Damn, that hurt," Kaminari grabbed his arm where Bakugo's explosion hit.

Now that Bakugo was between the two, Kirishima turned around to face his opponent. But before he could start to attack, an explosion happened behind him. Hitting him when his back wasn't hardened. How the hell? Looking over his shoulder, Kirishima saw one of the green canisters Bakugo had on his belt. Are those some kind of Grenade?

"I can fill these canisters with my nitro-glycerin sweat and use them as Grenades." Bakugo placed his hands on Kirishima's chest, who had not yet recovered from the surprise attack. "Now…DIE!"

With all the power he could, he set off a point-blank explosion and Kirishima went flying. Outcold before he even hit the ground.

Back in the monitor room, Todoroki, who had been quiet since the exercise began, finally spoke up. "He used his first explosion not only as a means to dodge but to act as a smokescreen to hide his intentions. All while drawing his enemy's attention way and attack Kaminari."

Yaoyorozu nodded in agreement, "He may not seem like a thinker, but he appears to be quite capable."

"Bakugo's always been this good."

Everyone looked over to Midoriya. "He's always wanted to be a hero since we were kids, so he's trained really hard to use his Quirk so well. His battle sense is incredible, almost everything is pure instinct."

They all turned back to the screen to see Kaminari standing alone with Bakugo. "You're turn, sparky,"

Bakugo's evil grin sent a shiver down, Kaminari knew there was only one way he would get out of this fight not beaten too bad. "I give up."

Before Bakugo could do anything else, All Might said over the radio system. "That's the end of the match. Hero team wins."

Just then Mineta came in through the door, sweating and breathing heavily. "Hey… what did I miss?"

Kaminari just stood there frozen in fear as Bakugo glared at him, finally spinning on his heels and leaving.

Kirishima began to shift on the ground and somehow, despite his injuries, propped himself up. "Did we win?"

Everyone now stood in the monitor room for the debriefing of the exercise. The participants stood at the front. Bakugo stood there completely uninterested. Mineta looked like he was about to pass out from all the running he had done. Kaminari had some bandages on his arms from Bakugo's attack. By far the most injured was Kirishima, who despite being covered in bandages, said he was alright. "Alright, who's the MVP of the match."

Sato raised his hand and asked, "Wouldn't it be Bakugo? He took on two opponents at once."

"While young Bakugo did do very well, I believe the MVP goes to young Kirishima."

"WHY!" Bakugo growled in anger.

"There are various reasons," Yaoyorozu said, willing to illuminate. "While you did display impressive combat skill, it was quite obvious that you were only interested in fighting, rather than securing the weapon. There is also the fact that you didn't believe that your opponents would be a threat, as evidence when you first attacked Kirishima, thinking he was defeated quickly."

Bakugo growled in anger and All Might said, "all of these are factors, but there is a particular one that stands out." Several students raised their eyebrows in confusion. "You abandoned your teammate, young Bakugo. If this was a real situation, running off on your own like that would be completely foolish." All Might could tell that hearing this only made Bakugo even angrier and he simply looked at the teen."Do not worry young Bakugo. Whether you win or lose, you can always look ahead by learning from experience." Everyone waited for Bakugo to say something but instead, the teen spun on his heels and went over to the wall to leaned against it.

"Alright," All Might said getting everyone's attention once more. "Before we begin the next match, young Kirishima. Are you sure you don't want to go see Recovery Girl?"

He grinned while rubbing the back of his head, "It's fine. I'd hate to miss everyone else performance. It's the first day after all."

Giving a thumbs-up, All Might pulled out the boxes that contained the lots. "Fair enough. Bakugo will assist you on your way to the infirmary." This earned a growl from Bakugo but he said nothing, part of him through with the day and how it's been for him. "Alright, time for the next bout…"

And so… the rest of the class went on with their matches. Asui and Sato played the villains against Ida and Tokoyami. Asui did a great job at supporting Sato in dodging Ida's speedy attacks. But those, combined with Tokoyami's offensive abilities with Dark Shadow ended up being too much for them so Ida and Tokoyami won their match.

Ashido and Koda had issues as the Heroes. Koda's shyness and Ashido's upbeat personality didn't mesh well which lead to them not communicating. They were also up against Yaoyorozu and Hagakure. Hagakure used her stealth to surprise the hero team and capture Koda. Leaving Ashido all by herself to get past the incredible defense Yaoyorozu had set up. It was too much for her so Koda and she lost the match.

Finally, it was time for Uraraka's match…

"And… Begin," All Might said over the loudspeaker.

Everyone watched as the hero team of Todoroki and Aoyama moved into the building. Another monitor showed Shoji carefully listening for the two with Uraraka behind him.

"They're coming," Shoji said pulling in his dupli-arms. "There on this floor now and should be here in a minute. Get ready."

Uraraka nodded to the other teen. "Right, I'll get Todoroki as he comes in. He'll be helpless once he's floating."

"Don't let your guard down," Urged Shoji. "Todoroki got in via recommendation. Don't underestimate him."

Nodding, she took her position next to the door. Their plan was for Shoji to distract them with his Dupli-arms while Uraraka flanked them from the side suspending them in mid-air. Making them easy to capture.

After a minute of them waiting, Shoji gave the signal that they were just outside the door and for Uraraka to get ready. But in the blink of an eye, ice-covered the room. Every surface had ice on it; the walls, ceiling, the floor. A thin sheet of ice was everywhere and Uraraka and Shoji tried to move but the ice was holding them firmly.

"How," Uraraka said in surprise. "I can't move."

"I wouldn't move if I were you," Todoroki said walking into the room. "It might be painful to fight without the soles of your feet."

Still determined to at least go down swinging, Shoji tried to extend his arms to punch Todoroki, but another wave of ice came and completely froze his body except for his head. Uraraka and Shoji could only watch now as Todoroki walked over and laid his hands on the weapon.

"The hero team wins," All Might announced over the radio.

Aoyama poked his head through the door and said, "I didn't get to show everyone how fabulous I am."

In the monitor room, Everyone remarked at how strong Todoroki is and Midoriya simply looked at the screen. I really wanted to believe that Shoji and Uraraka could have pulled out a win against Todoroki, but he's too strong for them. Now his attention was on the heterochromatic teen that was defrosting Uraraka and Shoji. I really want to do something about Todoroki now… but I've never had any sort of conversation with him. Getting him to at least open up to me a little would be impossible.

He let out a sigh and turned to look at Bakugo out of curiosity. He was looking at the monitors as well, a mixture of calculating and annoyed expressions on his face. In the past, everyone did refer to us as the monster trio. Remembering that did make Midoriya chuckle a bit before looking back to Todoroki. At the very least, I'll be able to help him at the sports festival. But before that…

"Well done everyone. Aside from young Kirishima, no Major injuries. For your first class, you all displayed great teamwork and great potential," All Might bellowed with laughter.

Asui placed her finger on her chin, "Coming after Aizawa-sensei, a straightforward class like this is… almost a letdown."

Some of the others nodded in agreement and All Might Simply spun on his heels. "We teachers are free to hold no-nonsense classes if we so choose! Now I'm off to report everyone's performances today. Young Bakugo, make sure you help Young Kirishima to see Recovery Girl. Everyone else, change out of your costumes and head back to the classroom." With those final words, All Might broke off into a sprint down the tunnel back towards the school.

"He's in a hurry," Mineta said. "So cool."

Bakugo Let out a growl in ager but started walking, "Come on weird hair! Let's go!"

Although the nickname caught him off guard, Kirishima followed behind Bakugo as best he could with his injuries. "Lead the way. I'll see the rest of you back in class," he said waving at everyone.

Good to know that Kirishima isn't being too hard on Bakugo for how rough he was. Kirishima's never been that type of guy. But, it looks like I won't be able to talk to Bakugo like I had done before…

"Midoiriya, We're heading back to the classrooms," said Ida.

Snapping out of his thought, Midoriya walked alongside the others in his class. The only thing on his mind was how his toughest challenge was just over the horizon.

Authors note:

Getting into the meat of it. I did change the pairs for the fight cause I want to change things up with events that are more random. The reason why I didn't change anything else until this point was I never had an opportunity to do so. I could have mixed 1-A and 1-B and said class assignments were random, but screw that.

So yeah, I hope it will be interesting to see how things get shaken up with certain events.
