Just so people know, I haven't stopped writing Ash's Moemon Journey. I'm just getting my itch for this story taken care of first.

Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon or the concept of Moemon.

Honestly, I did not feel like dealing with either AJ or Giselle, so I decided to skip those two instances, as much as I wanted to turn a school inside-out by beating the latter. Maybe I'll battle those two in the Indigo League, when beating them will actually mean something, but until then, I decided to just head straight to Saffron City. In the anime, Saffron would've been where Ash got his fourth badge, but that was when Sabrina was still suffering from her own psychic powers. Now that I've saved her earlier than usual, I can go there to get the badge earlier, since she's no doubt expecting a rematch with me.

Though, I would've gone straight there if I didn't recognize where I currently was.

This was the area where Ash first met his Bulbasaur. Realizing this, I decided to stick around until I saw the Oddish that brought about the fateful meeting. It was lunch time, anyway. With everyone one of their Moe Balls, we began eating to food I made. Mom gave me a lot of culinary lessons, so I'm quite the experienced chef. It also helped that my bag can somehow hold far more than it appears, much like in the games, when you can hold up to 999 of any one item and be still be able to carry other items. As we were eating, I took notice of something coming out of the bushes - the Oddish I was expecting. She simply wore a dark blue dress with no sleeves, and had spiked out green hair tied into a ponytail and red eyes. I noticed that she was limping, and saw that her left cut had been cut and was bleeding a little. Seeing this, I quickly stood up and walked to the Oddish.

"Are you okay?" I simply ask her, showing concern. Even still, she looked afraid of me and tried to back away, only to fall back, but I quickly caught her. "I got you." Picking her up bridal style, I carry her to the others. "Rio, can you use Heal Pulse to heal her wound?"

"Of course." Rio said, her hand glowing a calm green as she released a soothing pulse that interacted with Oddish's wound and healed it.

"Feeling better?" I ask Oddish now that she was healed.

"Yes. Thank you, mister!" Oddish thanked me.

"You're welcome. If you like, you could join us for lunch." I offer. Oddish looked at the food I made, the scent reaching her nose.

"It does look really tasty." Oddish said. I'm pretty sure she's drooling. "Smells good, too."

I gave a kind chuckle, before looking at the bush Oddish came from. "You can join us well if you want." I call out, not even needing my Aura Sight to know that Bulbasaur was watching.

After a few seconds, she came out. She wore a blue mini-dress that reached her knees, had a green bulb on her neck-length green hair, and red eyes that eyed me cautiously. "How did you know I was there?" She asked cautiously.

"I could easily sense your Aura from in there." I reply, making her eyes go wide.

"You're an Aura Guardian." She realized.

"Yes, I am, and you're free to join us for food. I just happened to make extra." Oddish eagerly took the offer, while Bulbasaur cautiously accepted. I can understand her being cautious. She doesn't have a good past with humans, until she met Ash.

The seven of us all ate lunch together. Oddish really liked the food I made and Bulbasaur admittedly liked it as well, enough to allow herself to open up to us a bit. After everyone had finished eating and was satisfied, Bulbasaur gave me a respectful bow. "Thank you for the food."

"You're a really nice, human." Oddish smiled. "Just like Melanie."

"Melanie?" I ask, even though I already knew who she was.

"She's the only human we've interacted with ever since we were abandoned. She built a log house for injured and abandoned Moemon to rest until they heal." Bulbasaur explained. "You can come with us, if you like. She might like you to help in taking care of the Moemon there." So she trusts me enough to take me to the secret Moemon resting place.

"Very well."

My Moemon and I followed Bulbasaur and Oddish, the latter not wanting to leave my side, and we soon came to the Melanie's resting place. "Oddish, there you are!" A female voice said as Melanie approached, but stopped when she saw me.

"Don't worry, Melanie, this guy's actually a pretty respectable human. His Lucario healed Oddish and he gave he some really good food." Bulbasaur vouched for me.

Melanie looked at Bulbasaur with surprise before looking back at me. "I'm surprised that Bulbasaur trusts you so much, considering how much she doesn't like humans." She said with a smile. "Name's Melanie. Nice to meet you."

"Ash Ketchum." I nodded respectfully. "Bulbasaur said you could use some help taking care of the Moemon here."

"Well, if what Bulbasaur said is true about you being a good cook, you can start by helping me prepare food for the Moemon here."

I helped Melanie prepare food for the Moemon. They all liked it and I decided to share my recipe with Melanie so that she could also make them. Once feeding was done, I decided to address an issue with Melanie. "Melanie, I must ask out of worry..."

"You want to know if this place is safe?" She asked the question for me. "Don't worry. I littered the path to this place with traps, along with purposefully making the bridge unstable, so bad folk won't be coming here."

"Perhaps on land. But, what about from the sky?"

"What is that!?" I heard Oddish scream as soon as I ask the question. We both saw her pointing up and looked to see Team Rocket's Meowth balloon.

"Prepare for trouble!" I heard them begin their stupid motto.

"Make it double!" I'm not in the mood for this.

"To protect the world from-"

"Enyo, Dark Pulse!" I order, interrupting their motto. Enyo fired a pulse of darkness, destroying the balloon and sending the trio flying.

"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!"

"...Building some aerial defense might be a good idea." Melanie agreed.

As I was about to leave, I noticed Bulbasaur and Oddish walking up to me. "What's up?" I ask.

"We're coming with you!" Oddish declared, hugging me. "I can't stay here without you!" I couldn't help but pat her on the head as I looked at Bulbasaur.

"Melanie said that I had to leave the village at some point, and you've proven yourself much better than my old trainer, so I don't mind going with you." Bulbasaur explained her reasoning. So I'm getting not one, but two Grass/Poison Moemon today. I nodded in acceptance and tapped two empty Moe Balls on their foreheads, capturing them. After the capture was complete, I sent them back out.

"Welcome to the team." I welcome them with a smile. "I'll call you Blossom." I name Oddish before looking at Bulbasaur. "And you Sarah."

"Sure." Sarah accepted her new name, whereas Blossom hugged me again. As we left, I checked their individual data on my Moedex.

Bulbasaur: The Seed Moemon

Type: Grass/Poison

While it is young, Bulbasaur uses the nutrients stored in the seed on her head in order to grow.

Name: Sarah

Level: 30

Ability: Chlorophyll

Height: 4'04" (Average)

Weight: 89.2lbs (Average)

Cup Size: B (Average)

Moves: Razor Leaf, Energy Ball, Vine Whip, Tackle, Take Down, Leech Seed, Poison Powder, Sleep Powder, Sweet Scent

Sarah mainly knows Grass moves right now, but that can easily be fixed with training. I then look at Haru's data.

Oddish: The Weed Moemon

Type: Grass/Poison

Oddish mainly grow using the light of the moon. Her scientific name is "Oddium Wanderus".

Name: Blossom

Level: 22

Ability: Chlorophyll

Height: 4'06" (Average)

Weight: 89lbs (Average)

Cup Size: A (Average)

Moves: Giga Drain, Acid, Poison Powder, Stun Spore, Sleep Powder, Growth, Sweet Scent

Blossom only knows two attacking moves. Again, that can be fixed with training.

"Hello again, Saffron City." I say aloud as I enter the city. It's been two years since I last came here to help Sabrina, and now, the two of us are gonna have an official gym battle. Not wanting to delay any further, I went straight to the gym, where I see Sabrina herself waiting by the entrance. She had on her Fire Red/Leaf Green outfit, but wore the wristbands she had in the remakes, along with a white choker. She saw me, and smiled. "Ash. I had a vision that you would arrive today."

"Hey, Sabrina." I greet her. "Glad to see you've learned to control your powers."

"Yes, and it is thanks to you." She looked at the Pikachu next to me. "I take it this Pikachu is Cherry in disguise."

"Yep." Cherry replied with a smile. "We're here to rematch you for the Marsh Badge."

Sabrina smiled back. "Kardia and I have been training since then. You won't catch us off-guard this time."

Sabrina and I were back on the same battlefield as last time. As per our agreement, this would be a one-on-one duel between Cherry and Kardia. Our Moemon were already on the field, with Cherry dropping her disguise and facing her opponent. Kardia, who was now an Alakazam, wore a brown shirt and yellow pants, with long blonde hair down her back with light tips, black eyes, and she held her signature pair of spoons. She was also wearing an Alakazite around her neck.

I smirk. "So, you'll be using Mega Evolution against us."

"That's right." Sabrina said, revealing the Key Stone on her choker. "Back then, such a thing would be impossible. But now, you will see the fruits of our training." She activated her Key Stone, and it glowed a rainbow light as Kardia's Alakazite reacted to it. "Our minds become one; our psychic powers surpassing to new heights!" She chanted. "Kardia, Mega Evolve!" Kardia glowed the orange-and-purple light of Mega Evolution, and when it faded, she was now Mega Alakazam. She now wore a purple and yellow sage outfit with loose, cut-out pink sleeves that seemed to be defying gravity, since they were worn on her arms instead of her forearms. Her hair was now white and went down to her back, with two ponytail of equal length and yellow hair pointed upward in three prongs. Her eyes were now purple, and she now had a red jewel on her forehead. She was also levitating off the ground a bit in the doga pose.

"Alright! Let's have a good match!" Cherry said excitedly.

"Indeed." Kardia said calmly.

Sabrina's father, who was once again referee for our match, gave the signal to begin, and both Cherry and Kardia released a Psychic pulse, canceling each other out.

"Shadow Ball!" Sabrina commanded.

"Dark Pulse!" I order. Cherry fired a pulse of darkness at the dark sphere, but since type matchups between moves were also a thing, the Dark move won out, but Kardia avoided by Teleporting. "Phantom Force!" Cherry disappeared into the shadows to avoid the incoming Signal Beam from her left above her, and then she reappeared behind Kardia and knocked her down with Iron Tail, but the Mega Alakazam used a Psychic pulse to recover before she hit the ground, and then caught Cherry in a Psychic hold and slammed her to the ground, immediately following up with Signal Beam that Cherry barely managed to block with Thunderbolt, the explosion that came with the clash, knocking her back, since it was so close to her. The damage she took wasn't much, but it showed how much Sabrina and Kardia have grown since then, and that made me smile.

"Not bad, Sabrina." I say. "But we're just getting started! Megahorn!"

"Not this time! Use Reflect!" Sabrina countered. Kardia created a psychic barrier to block the glowing horn.

"Psychic Fangs, then Crunch!" I quickly order. Cherry opened her mouth, her teeth glowing with psychic power as she chomped at the Reflect, immediately destroying it, and then switching to dark energy and biting Kardia hard on the shoulder.

"Counter!" My eyes widen when I heard the move, and then Kardia punched Cherry in the stomach, returning the damage dealt two-fold as the Mew was sent flying before landing on the ground, actually hurt.

"You actually prepared this much." I couldn't help but smirk, and Sabrina returned it. "You still good, Cherry?"

"Yeah." Cherry comfired, shakily standing up. "That counter certainly caught me off-guard, but I'm not done!"

"Alright then, Dark Pulse!" I order. Cherry fired another pulse of darkness, but this time Kardia countered with Dazzling Gleam, but Cherry was quick and switched to Flash Cannon, beating the Fairy move and hitting Kardia.

"Shock Wave!" Sabrina ordered.

"Iron Tail!" I order. Cherry solidified her tail with steel energy and swung it at the electricity, canceling it out. "Synchronoise, then Shadow Ball with Thunderbolt!" Cherry released shockwaves of rainbow-colored psychic power that stunned Kardia, and then fired a Shadow Ball empowered by Thunderbolt. That seemed to finish the job as Kardia was finally on the ground, unconscious and back to normal.

"Kardia is unable to battle! The winners are Ash and Mew!" Sabrina's father announced our victory.

"Yeah!" Cherry and I fist-pumped in triumph. This victory was truly exciting as it came with a truly tough battle.

"I thought we had you there." Sabrina gave a good-natured chuckle as she returned Kardia. "But, it seems you and Cherry have also gotten stronger."

"Yeah, but we'll happily admit that you've given us our best battle so far." I say with a smile.

Sabrina smiled back, using her psychic power to give me her gym badge. "After what you've done for me and my family, you've truly deserved the Marsh Badge." With that, I have my third badge.

Sabrina and I went to the Moemon Center for Cherry and Kardia to heal. I decided to finally have sex with Sarah and Blossom while I waited. Afterwards, as I was about to leave, Sabrina approached me, saying something very interesting. "You want to travel with me?" I repeated.

"Yes." Sabrina nodded. "I talked with my dad about it, and he said he'll take over while I journey with you." Well, looks like I have a new travel companion.

On the road, Sabrina introduced me to three other Moemon she had with her besides Kardia, one of them being her Venomoth, Vena. She wore a long violet dress, and had wavy purple hair that reached down to her shoulders, violet eyes, and a pair of violet goggles around her neck.

Her other two Moemon were twins - an Espeon named Dawn, and an Umbreon named Dusk.

Dawn wore a purple dress and had purple hair that reached down to her shoulders, sticking out in two places as ears. She had a purple tail sticking out of her butt that ended in two points, and had red eyes that shined in a way that matched the red jewel on her forehead.

Dusk wore a black shirt and skirt, with a black tail sticking out of her butt. She had silver hair down to her neck, and bright red eyes.

The story between these two was interesting. Sabrina caught these two a year after I helped her, and Dawn's happiness reached its peak just before eight p.m., and she evolved into Espeon. Dusk, who was extremely happy that her sister evolved, evolved into Umbreon soon after.

Anyway, with Sabrina joining me, the two of us were on the road to Vermillion City. Specifically, the road we were on would lead us to encounter Damian's Charmander, and sure enough, there she was, sitting on a random rock. She wore an orange shirt and miniskirt, and had blue eyes and orange hair down to her neck, and a tail with a flame at the end sticking out of her skirt.

"A Charmander." Sabrina identified with a frown. "And she's not in good shape if her flame's any indication."

"She shouldn't be out here." Dawn said. "It's going to rain soon, and she won't survive with how weak she is now."

I nodded in agreement and walked up to Charmander. "Excuse me, Charmander." I say politely.

"I have a name." She said a bit hotly. "It's Cara."

"Well, Cara-"

Interrupting me was a flash from my belt as Sarah came out of her Moe Ball, looking at Cara with wide eyes. "Cara!?"

Cara returned the shocked look. "Wait, Thorn!? What are you doing here!?"

"One, my name's Sarah now. Two, I should be asking you that!"

"You know each other?" I ask Sarah, surprised that the two Starter Moemon knew each other. Sarah looked down, gritting her teeth.

"She and I used to have the same trainer." Oh, her old trainer was Damian. No wonder she was so distrustful of humans before I met her. "Anyway, what are you doing here, Cara?"

"I'm waiting for Master." Cara replied.

I raise a questionable eyebrow. "Waiting?"

"Yeah. He said that if I waited on this rock, he would come back for me."

Sarah sighed. "Cara, it's obvious that Damian abandoned you. Just like he abandoned me."

Cara looked shocked for a moment before shaking her head in denial. "N-No! He'll come back for me! He promised!"

"We both saw him release our other teammates without a care in the world, just because they lost a battle!" Sarah shouted. "You lost, too, didn't you!? You honestly think he'll come back for you!?"

"I-"

"Girls!" I say firmly, getting them to stop arguing and look at me. "There's an easier way to settle this." I take out an empty Moe Ball. "Do you know the main benefit of Moe Balls?"

Both stared blankly at me. "Oh, I know! A Moemon who has been caught is keyed to the Moe Ball that caught them, making them unable to be caught again unless the trainer chooses to release them." Cherry answered.

"Correct. If Cara is right in that her trainer hasn't abandoned her, then that means anyone who tries to catch her now would have the Moe Ball harmlessly bounce off of her, showing that she's still keyed to her Moe Ball. So let's test it, Cara. If this Moe Ball works and captures you, then it proves that Sarah is right and Damian abandoned you. If it doesn't, then we'll leave you alone and remind him to come back for you."

"Do it." Sarah said, confident she was right. Cara was hesitant comparison, but still nodded, accepting the terms. With that, I threw the Moe Ball at Cara, and as Sarah and I thought would happen, Cara was sucked into the Moe Ball, meaning she was released. Three shakes and a click, and I now had a Charmander.

"Good thinking using the Moe Ball System." Sabrina praised me for my clever thinking. I gave her an appreciated nod and let out Cara, who was shaken up that I caught her.

"You...caught me." She said weakly, looking like she was gonna cry. "Then...he lied to me. But why?"

"Because that's just how humans like him are." Sarah said softly, embracing her old friend. "But it's okay. Our new trainer will take care of us both. He'll make us become strong, something Damian neglected to do."

Cara looked at me expectantly. "All Moemon who join me are my family." I tell her. "I will never heartlessly abandon any of you, or Arceus may strike me down." She seemed to accept that and nodded.

We went to the Moemon Center and stayed there until the rain passed. While Cara was being treated by Nurse Joy, I checked her data.

Charmander: The Lizard Moemon

Type: Fire

Charmander's life force is tied to the flame on her tail. Should it be extinguished, her life will come to an end.

Name: Cara

Level: 23

Ability: Blaze

Height: 4'11" (Average)

Weight: 97lbs (Average)

Cup Size: B (Average)

Moves: Ember, Dragon Breath, Dragon Rage, Scratch, Smoke Screen

Cara, I'll train you to be as strong...no, stronger than your anime counterpart.

We were standing in front of a pit that Enyo stopped us from falling into. On the other side of the pit was the Squirtle Squad. They all wore oversized yellow t-shirts and bright blue shorts, with big tails sticking out their butts. They also had blue hair reaching down to their necks, and if I remember right, they should have bright red eyes, but they were blocked form view by their shades. The one I had my eyes on was the one with the pointed shades, which was Ash's Squirtle. "You may not have fallen in our traps, but we're not letting you into our city!" She declared.

"We have to get by to enter the city." Sabrina told me. "We may have to force our way through."

"Perhaps, but you don't mind if I catch one of them, do you?" In response to that, the Squirtle all fired a Water Gun at them, but Enyo cut them all apart with Razor Wind. "That was rude. I was just making a suggestion."

Leader!Squirtle gritted her teeth. "Fine. How's this for a suggestion? I'll fight your Absol. If you win, you can catch me. But if I win, you and your girlfriend turn your asses around!"

"G-Girlfriend!?" Sabrina squeaked, blushing quite a fair amount. To be fair, my own cheeks were a little red from that comment.

"We're not dating yet, but I'll accept your challenge." I say coolly. "You're up, Enyo."

"Okay." Enyo nodded, ready to fight.

"Water Gun!"

"Ice Beam." I order, Enyo fired a freezing beam that froze the Ice Beam. "Night Slash." Enyo's nails glowed with dark energy as she quickly moved around the pit and in front of Leader!Squirtle, slashing her. Leader!Squirtle used Iron Defense to defend against some of the damage, but it didn't stop her from flying into the air. Enyo quickly got behind her with Aerial Ace and slashed her to the ground.

"Boss!" The other Squirtle screamed, worry for their leader.

Leader!Squirtle managed to stand on one knee, and I notice her form a familiar azure sphere and fire it at Enyo. "Psycho Cut!" I quickly order. Enyo's nails glow with psychic power as she slashed the air, releasing a psychic knife that cut the Aura Sphere apart. The fact that this Squirtle knows Aura Sphere makes me want her even more. "Thunderbolt." Giving the final command, Enyo prepared to fire a bolt of electricity, but stopped when she saw the other four Squirtle stand in a protective line in front of her.

"What are you doing!?" Leader!Squirtle demanded, surprised that they interfered.

"Boss, we respect you a lot." One of the Squirtle said. "But this guy's Absol is just too strong." Leader!Squirtle gritted her teeth, her pride keeping her from admitting defeat.

"You win." Another Squirtle said to me, but she was trembling a bit. "Do what you want with us."

As soon as she said that, I notice a forest fire happening. "Alright then, come with me. You're gonna help stop that forest fire." I tell them, before looking at Cherry. "Transform into a Gyarados." I quietly tell her, and she nodded.

We arrive to the area where the fire was happening. The Squirtle Squad were doing most of the work with their Water Gun, with Cherry helping out as a Gyarados using Hydro Pump, but the fire was successfully put out, and the Squirtle Squad were congratulated for their efforts and made the town's firefighters. With that taken care of, Sabrina and I left to Vermillion, and predictably, Leader!Squirtle was trailing. "You want to come along?" I ask her.

"Yeah." She nodded, taking her shades off. "Honestly, if my friends hadn't interfered, I would've lost, so this is just me keeping my end of the bargain." I nod and capture Squirtle. I decide to name her Bianca and checked her data.

Squirtle: The Tiny Turtle Moemon

Type: Water

Squirtle hardens her t-shirt like a shell to protect herself from damage, then counterattacks at every opportunity.

Name: Bianca

Level: 30

Ability: Rain Dish

Height: 4'08" (Average)

Weight: 95.7lbs (Average)

Cup Size: B (Average)

Moves: Water Gun, Aqua Tail, Headbutt, Bite, Aura Sphere, Withdraw, Iron Defense, Shell Smash

With all three Kanto Starters acquired, I continued to Vermillion City with Sabrina.

Yep, Sabrina's a party member this time.
