Sabrina and I made it to the lighthouse that Bill lives in. When we got there, we were instead greeted by a Moemon. She had brown hair down to her neck, and wore a brown dress with tan trim. She also had brown fox ears and a browntail with a tan tip, and black eyes. An Eevee. "Hello." I greet her. "Is Bill available at the moment?"

"Yeah, about that..." She chuckled nervously...in Bill's voice.

"WHAT THE HELL!?" Cherry screamed, creeped out from hearing a Moemon with a guy's voice. "WHY DO YOU SOUND LIKE A GUY!?"

"Wait! I can explain!" Bill said quickly. "You see, my name is Bill. I'm a Moemon Researcher who lives her. I was doing an experiment when the Eevee I had living with me suddenly came into my room, tripped and fell into the machine with me. Because of that accident, I ended up fusing into her body." So, we're going with the scene from the games, huh? I can only imagine how many visitors he creeped out into leaving like this.

"...Do you need our help?" I ask.

"Yes, please." Bill said. "I've already set everything up for the separation process, just press the enter key after I enter the machine." Bill walked into one of the capsules, and I press the enter key. The separation process began, and then both capsules opened and released a lot of smoke. Sabrina cleared it away with a psychic pulse, and we saw Bill and Eeeve exit from two different capsules. "Phew, looks like it worked." Bill said with relief.

"Sorry, Bill." Eevee said, looking sorry.

"Hey, don't worry. I know you didn't mean it."

Bill invited us to have dinner with him and Eevee, and then he showed us a room full of pictures of different Moemon, including one of a Mew. "Hmm..." Cherry inspected the Mew picture. "Not by best, but I suppose I was going to fast for a proper picture." Ah, so that Mew was her."

Bill looked at her weirly. "Um, that's a picture of Mew." He told her.

"I know." Cherry smiled, showing her true self.

"Oh my Arceus!" As expected, Bill was shocked to see that Cherry was actually the Mythical Mew, and turned to me. "I can't believe you actually caught Mew! How did you do it!?"

"I found her injured in the woods outside Oak's Coral when I was six. I helped her, and she decided to stay with me." I told him the story of how Cherry and I met.

As we were about to leave, Bill asked me a favor. "Can you take Eevee with you? She's been with me for a while, but I think it's time for her to have a proper trainer."

I looked at Eevee to see if this was what she wanted, and she gave me a firm nod. So, I agreed and caught her, getting myself an Eevee. I decided to name her Valerie and checked her data.

Eevee: The Evolution Moemon

Due to their unstable genetic makeup, Eevee has several different evolved forms. She holds the undisputed record of having the most evolved forms of any Moemon.

I decide to take care of the elephant in the room first. "So, any plans on what you want to evolve into?" I ask Valerie.

"Um, well, I was thinking Sylveon." She told me.

"Then first thing we need to do is teach you a Fairy-type move!" Cherry decided. That's true. Eevee that want to evolve into Sylveon need to know a Fairy-type move, or they'll evolve into either Espeon or Umbreon instead, when they reach max happiness.

The Fairy move that Cherry decided to teach, though, was Moonblast. I didn't think it was possible, but they managed to get it working, so I just went along with it.

We had finally made it to Vermillion City, and I immediately remember one thing about Lt. Surge.

That he's a real jerk.

Seriously, he abuses his position as Gym Leader to bully new trainers. Obviously, he needs to learn a lesson, so I go to the gym to do just that. Of course, he laughed at me and called me a baby. "He's more of a man than someone who abuses his position to bully new trainers." Sabrina said coldly.

"You have so much faith in him, huh, Sabrina?" He asked, before smirking at me. "Fine then. Let's battle. Your Pikachu versus my Raichu. I'll be more than happy to crush you."

"Someone's gonna get crushed alright." I reply darkly to his challenge. We took our places on the field. Cherry stood on my side while Surge's Raichu, named Rai, stood on his side. She wore an orange shirt and skirt, and had orange hair down her back, brown eyes, and a brown tail that ended in a yellow lightning bolt, along with yellow circles on her cheeks.

"Get her, Rai!" Surge shouted. Unfortunately for her, she didn't get to move far as Cherry quickly closed the gap with Extreme Speed and punched her into the air with Sky Uppercut, and then Teleported above her and dunked her down with Iron Tail, and finally, she Teleported in front of Rai as she bounced off the ground and Mega Kicked her hard in the stomach, sending her flying into the wall behind Surge so fast her front half got stuck in it. Seeing how she wasn't currently struggling to get out, she was clearly unconscious.

"Looks like the winners are Ash and Cherry." Sabrina said, using her psychic powers to take the Thunder Badge from his case and put it in my hand.

"Thanks, Sabrina." I thanked her as we left the gym.

After some consideration during training, to which I mean Enyo warning us of what would happen if we chose not to (even thought I already know), we decided to take the cruise on the S.S. Anne. Of course, Enyo warned us that more than half the passengers are Rocket grunts in disguise, so we were cautious about what activities to do.

What was interesting, though, was that Diantha was one of the passengers. She looked quite young, though, about two years older than me, so I'm not sure if she's the Kalos Grand Champion yet. Regarless, perhaps she'll make things more interesting.

We felt comfortable enough to do a lottery in which I won the 2nd place prize, which was a full set of evolutionary stones, and Sabrina won the 1st place prize, which was a Moemon Egg. She said she felt psychic power from the egg, meaning it will hatch into a Psychic Moemon.

When Team Rocket revealed themselves, Sabrina and I were already prepared and sent out our Moemon to fight them. Our actions rallied the other trainers to fight as well and soon Team Rocket was sent packing.

And then came the storm.

While everyone was in panic, Sabrina and I went to the port to stop the storm. Sabrina and her Moemon used their psychic powers to keep the boat as steady as they can, while Cherry transformed into Rayquaza again, using Air Lock to eliminate the storm.

"Well, that was easy." Dawn said. "Who knew having a Mew would make things so much easier?"

"It does simplify things." I agree. I decide to check things with Aura Sight, and I was alarmed when I detected a powerful Water-type Aura in the ocean, and it looks to be aiming an attack at Cherry! "Cherry, move!" I shout in alarm. Cherry was surprised, but she was more surprised after she barely avoided what I recognized as an Origin Pulse from the ocean. Looking down, we all saw a Moemon emerge from the ocean. She wore a white and blue leotard, with a blue shirt over the leotard, with long, long blue sleeves with red markings that extended past her hands. She had blue hair down her back with two red streaks and gold eyes that were glaring at Cherry.

"Kyogre!" Kardia gasped. She was right. Standing on the water is the Hoenn Legendary that ultimately rules the seas, Kyogre.

"Damn it, Rayquaza! What the hell are you doing here!?" Kyogre shouted angrily at Cherry, thinking she was the real Rayquaza.

"What? Wait, Kyogre, I'm not-wah!" Cherry yelped as she had to dodge an Ice Beam.

"Shut up! I'm pissed as hell right now, so if you don't leave and let me vent, I'll force you to!"

Well, this cruise got more interesting than I thought. "Cherry! Talking won't work! We'll have to fight her to calm her down!" I shout at her.

"Looks like it!" She shouted back, getting ready for a tough fight.

"Origin Pulse!" Kyogre shouted, created several orbs of ancient water energy.

"Extreme Speed to dodge, then Dragon Claw!" I order. Cherry sped through the air to dodge the orbs, and then flew towards Kyogre, her nails glowing with draconic energy as she slashed her. Growling, Kyogre retaliated with Thunder, but Cherry blocked using Iron Tail, solidifying her right leg with steel energy and kicking the electricity to cancel. "Iron Tail again, but this time, combine it with Thunderbolt!" Cherry electrified her iron leg and dive kicked Kyogre into the water.

Using Aura Sight, I see Kyogre use Body Slam to ram Cherry out of the water, and then reemerge and follow up with Hydro Pump. "Ice Beam!" I order. Cherry righted herself and fired a freezing beam that froze the Hydro Pump, which then shattered a second later.

"That human..." Kyogre finally took notice of me. "Why are you taking orders from him? Did he catch you?"

"He's my trainer." Cherry said firmly. "And my friend."

"Your friend, you say?" Kyogre narrowed her eyes. "Well, he should learn not to interfere!" She sent a huge Surf my way, shocking Cherry. However, I quickly created a large Aura Sphere and threw it at the Surf, and Sabrina helped as well by firing a psychic orb alongside it. The two spheres hit the wave, and the explosion made it dissipate completely. "What!?" Of course, Kyogre was shocked that Sabrina and I stopped her attack without our Moemon helping us.

"Now Cherry!" I shout.

"Oh, you're in for it now, sea bitch!" Cherry growled, very angry that Kyogre tried to drown me.

"Sea bi-AGH!" Kyogre cried out in pain as she was shocked and paralyzed by Cherry's Thunder.

The Mew disguised as a Rayquaza then flew into the air, glowing with a mix of green and gold energy. "DRAGON IMPACT!" She shouted, using a combination of Dragon Ascent and Giga Impact as she dived down with the force of a meteor. A huge explosion of water happened as she hit Kyogre, and then she resurfaced a few moments later, carrying an unconscious Sea Basin Moemon.

"Well, great work everyone. We prevented the S.S. Anne from sinking." I praise everyone.

"So, what do we do with her?" Dusk asked, looking at Kyogre.

"First, we heal her." I decide, sending out Rio. "Use Heal Pulse, and heal Cherry as well." She nodded and released a soothing pulse that healed both Legendary Moemon.

"Mmm..." Kyogre moaned as she was stirred awake by the Heal Pulse. Opening her eyes, I can see that she was much calmer now.

"Have you calmed down?" I ask her, and she nods. "Good. Now, what got you so angry? Did you get in another fight with Groudon?"

"Actually, it was Rayquaza." She said, making me raise an eyebrow. "Groudon and I were about to fight, but Rayquaza interfered, and the two of us ended up getting into an argument." So, Groudon was there, but Rayquaza was the agitator. "She said something that really dug into my skin, so I came here to vent out my anger." She looked at Cherry. "Which makes me question why she's here, and so quickly on top of that?"

"Well, I'm not actually Rayquaza." Cherry admits, transforming back into her true self long enough for Kyogre to get a good look at her, and then changed back to keep the Air Lock up.

Seeing who she attacked, Kyogre began to look guilty. "Oh. Sorry, Mew. I actually thought you were Rayquaza." She apologized. "I'm also sorry for attacking your friends."

"You should be." Cherry said firmly. "He's not just my friend and trainer, but he's also Ho-Oh Rainbow Hero and a close friend to Arceus, and they would've been really angry if you drowned him." Kyogre visibly paled as she realized what her actions would've caused.

"You've met Arceus?" Sabrina asked me, quite surprised.

I reply with a simple nod to her before turning to Cherry. "Cherry, that's enough. She was angry and didn't know there was a ship full of humans where she decided to vent." I say in Kyogre's defense, surprising them both. "We protected everyone on the ship, and that's what matters."

Cherry glanced at Kyogre before sighing. "Fine. You're free to go, but this better not happen again, alright?" She nodded, saying a quick 'Thank you' to me before diving back into the ocean, presumably swimming back to Hoenn. As she left, Cherrry turned to me. "I don't understand why you didn't let me have you catch her."

"Because it wouldn't sit right with me to catch a Legendary Moemon over unresolved family drama." I answer her. If I caught Kyogre now, she and Rayquaza would never get the chance to make up.

"...That's fair." Cherry nodded, accepting my reasoning, and I could tell she was starting to feel a little guilty about wanting to force Kyogre to be my Moemon, as her cat ears flattened on her head and her tail drooped.

I pat her on the head to cheer her up. "Let's go back inside the ship, okay?" She nodded, giving a small smile.

The next day the captain of the S.S. Anne hosted a tournament to ease the tensions that came from the storm. They were basically one-on-one Moemon Battles, and the winner gets a Moemon Egg. Figuring Diantha was gonna join, I decided to participate myself. For the other trainers I faced, I used Sarah, Cara, Bianca and Valerie to give them some battle experience.

Although, there happened to be one other notable trainer in the tournament. One who I faced in the smei-finals.

"Hope you're ready to lose, Ashy-boy!" Gary said, taunting me.

The taunt failed as I keep my cool. "Oh, Gary. You have no clue what you're in for." I say.

"I've seen you use a Bulbasaur, a Charmander, a Squirtle and an Eevee in your previous matches." He said. "I'm impressed someone like you caught all three starters, but they're not strong enough to beat my Moemon!" I smirk at that. If he thinks I'm using either of them, he's in for a real surprise.

"Trainers, send out your Moemon of choice!" The referee said.

"Shelly!" Gary sent out a Wartortle, which is his Starter Moemon. She wore an oversized yellow shirt and blue shorts, with shoulder-length blue hair, red eyes and large blue ears.

"Enyo!" I call out Enyo.

"Huh? Who's that?" Gary asked.

I smirk at his confusion. "You should know Enyo, Gary. She was one of the Moemon I befriended before we became trainers."

"Battle begin!" The referee called.

"Whatever! We'll still win! Use Water Pulse, Sherry!" Gary ordered.

"Psycho Cut, then Thunderbolt." I order. Enyo sent a Psycho Cut that tore the Water Pulse apart, then shocked Shelly with Thunderbolt so hard that she fell unonscious.

"Wartortle is unable to battle! The winners are Ash and Absol!" The referee declared.

"Compared to Sarah, Cara, Bianca and Valerie, Enyo far more experienced, since she's been with me for about three years at this point." I say to Gary. "That should teach you to underestimate my Moemon."

After that was the battle between Sabrina and Diantha. Predictably, Diantha won, but Sabrina and Azuki did push her quite far. As I was thinking of who to use against her, I was approached by the captain. "Excuse me, young man. One of my sailors said that he saw you and Sabrina on the front porch."

So someone did see us. Well, might as well come clean. "Yes sir, that was me. My Pikachu, Cherry, is actually a Mew, and she transformed into a Rayquaza to nullify the storm using the Air Lock ability, which pretty much works like Cloud Nine, perhaps a stronger version of it. Anyway, we saw that the storm was actually caused by a Kyogre, and we had to fight her to calm her down. She did try to sink the ship with Surf, but Sabrina and I stopped it."

He smiled at me. "Well, my deepest thanks to you both. Now for my other question I was wondering. Are you going to use Cherry in the finals?"

"...Considering the strength of my opponent, I may have to."

So, I decided that I will use Cherry against Diantha. The two of us faced each other, prepared for battle. "Trainers, send out your Moemon of choice!" The referee said.

"Miku, take the spotlight." Diantha sent out what I easily recognized to be her iconic Gardevoir. She wore a very long white dress with green sleeves, and had green hair down to her neck and red eyes, and wore a Gardevoirite.

"Cherry, I choose you!" I call out Cherry, who revealed herself in her true form as Mew, shocking everyone.

"So your Pikachu was actually a Mew." Diantha said, surprised by the revelation. She then steeled her expression. "Very well. We shall go all-out from the start!" She activated the Key stone on her Mega Necklace and Miku's Gardevoirite reacted to it. "Our bonds will shine on! Miku, Mega Evolve!" Miku glowed the orange-and-purple light of Mega Evolution, and when it faded, Mega Gardevoir was our opponent. She wore a very long white dress that was aired out at the bottom, making it look like a wedding dress, with elbow-length gloves, green hair down to her neck, and red eyes.

"Hold nothing back, Cherry." I say firmly, and she gave a serious nod.

"Battle begin!" The referee called.

"Miku, Hyper Voice!" Diantha ordered.

"Cancel it with Metal Sound!" I order. Cherry solidified her hands with steel energy and clapped them, releasing steel-gray soundwaves that canceled the pink ones Miku screamed out. Pixilate converts all Normal attacks into Fairy attacks while also making them stronger. That means Steel and Poison moves are our best bet to counter them. "Agility into Iron Tail!" Cherry's tail solidified with steel energy, and then she got behind Miku too fast for other people to react, but Miku managed to dodge with Teleport just before the tail hit her.

"Shadow Ball!" Diantha ordered as Miku reappeared to Cherry's right, but the Mew quickly countered the dark sphere with Dark Pulse, which then hit Miku, making her skid back.

"Keep the pressure with Thunderbolt!" I order. Cherry and Miku ended up both using Thunderbolt, the opposing electricity meeting each other. "Phantom Flash!" Cherry stopped her Thunderbolt and vanished.

"Protect!" Diantha ordered, and Miku formed at green energy field around her.

"Bad move." Cherry said from directly behind Miku, the Mega Gardevoir's eyes widening just before she was hit with a Flash Cannon from point-blank behind her.

"Phantom Force!?" Diantha gasped.

"Yep. That's the 'Phantom' part." I smirk.

Diantha saw that the combo attack had seriously hurt Miku, as evident from her struggling to stand. I silently wait to see what she'll do now. "Synchronoise!" She ordered. Miku released rainbow shockwaves of psychic energy that hit Cherry, stunning her for what I assumed was a big attack. "Hyper Beam!" I knew it. A Pixilated Hyper Beam, the strongest Fairy attack usable by Mega Gardevoir and Sylveon.

"Mirror Coat!" I order. Cherry's body flashed with reflective energy, and the Hyper Beam bounced right back to Miku, who was unable to dodge and was knocked out by her own attack.

"Gardevoir is unable to battle! The winners of the tournament are Ash and Mew!" The referee declared.

"Well done, Cherry!" I praise, returning the hug. We then approach Diantha as she returned Miku.

"I...I just don't know what to say." Diantha said, giving a sad sigh, though she had a small smile on her face. "This is a new experience for me. Though, I should start by giving you my congratulations. You are quite the astounding trainer."

"You're pretty strong yourself." I return the compliment. "Honestly, it was because I knew how strong you were that I used Cherry."

"I see. I suppose that is quite an honor." Her smile grew as she giggled. "Now I'm hoping we get to face each other in the League."

I raise a curious eyebrow at that. "You're competing in the Indigo League as well?"

"Yes. My friend Cynthia and I decided that we would compete in this year's Indigo League, before we became the Grand Champions of Sinnoh and Kalos." So she is a Grand Champion. Well, in a technical sense. And Cynthia is competing as well. It seems I'll have to up my training.

The award ceremony came and myself, Diantha and Sabrina, who beat Gary for third place (Take that you cocky asshole.) were given a split pot of 3,000,000 Moebucks. As the winner of the tournament, I got the biggest pot, being 1,500,000. Diantha got 1,000,000 and Sabrina got 500,000. I also got the Moemon Egg, which was the main prize of the tournament.

As we were wondering about what my Egg will hatch into, Sabrina's egg actually hatched. The Moemon wore a plain pink dress with a pink sleep hat, had long light blue that went down to her waist and even covered her eyes. "Oh, she's a Hatenna!" Cherry identified for us. Hatenna...that's a Moemon from Galar.

"Wow. I was thinking about having a Hatterene." Sabrina smiled. "I'll call her Haley."

With that excitement, I decide to sit back and enjoy what this cruise has in store for me.

Lt. Surge was a bully in the anime. And bullies are all bark and no bite.

Also, pre-Champion Diantha appearance. And as foreshadow, Cynthia will appear as well.
