Team Seven made their way to the empty hallway, there was only ten minutes until registration was over. "Hey you with the attitude, hold on!" Lee called jumping off the balcony, landing perfectly on the ground. "I challenge you Sasuke Uchiha!" he said.
…
(He's so fast!) Sasuke gasps trying to see his next move with his Sharingan.
…
"Naruto Uzumaki! Peri Senju! Sasuke Uchiha! Are you ready?" Kakashi asked
"Yes sir!" the trio declared before walking into the other room.
The room was filled with genin from different villages.
Each one of them was an enemy.
"Looks like we got a lot of competition guys." Peri said with a nervous smile.
"That's fine by me. I've been wanting to try something new out." Sasuke grinned.
"Same here, I'm ready to blow these exams out of the water and become hokage!" Naruto cheered.
(I wish I could be more enthusiastic like Sasuke and Naruto, but so nervous I could puke.) the Senju sighed sadly.
"SASUKE! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!~" Ino squealed jumping on his back with a huge blush on her face
"I can't tell you how much I was hoping you would so up, I missed this broody good looks of yours." the blonde girl giggled.
"CHA! GET OFF HIM INO-PIG HE'S MINE!" Sakura screamed
"Miss Forehead you're here too, still got that ugly billboard brow of yours a see?~"
"Leave my forehead out of this!"
While the two bickering over the Uchiha, Shikamaru, Choji, Hinata, Kiba, and Shino walked over to the group. "Looks like the Ten Rookies are finally back together again. Hope you guys are ready for these exams." Kiba smirks with Akamaru barking in agreement.
"Of course we are! You don't know what training dog head!" the Uzumaki snapped, clenching his fist.
"You guys are such a drag." Shikamaru groaned, rolling his eyes at the arguing boys.
Peri and Hinata giggled watching the funny scene take place as they greeted each other. The two of them have been friends for a long time. The Hyuga girl was the princess of a noble clan and was always pressured by people and her clan to be the greatest based on their standards and expectations.
A feeling Peri knew all too well since the whole village expects her to become the Hokage. Even Hiruzen expects her to be his successor on a small level.
Just like her grandfather and granduncle. Afterall, the Senju Clan built this village.
"How have you been Hinata?" she asked
"I-I, have been t-training r-really hard for the exams. I think I'm ready for them." the Hyuga heiress stuttered.
"I've been training hard too, but…I can't help feeling like a nervous wreck." the Senju sighed,
Hinata placed a hand on her shoulder. "D-Don't worry Peri, I'm sure you'll be just fine."
"Thanks." Peri gave her friend a slight grin.
She felt a bump on her shoulder ripping her out of her thoughts. Looking over her shoulder she saw Sasuke who looked like he wanted to push Ino off of him.
She decided to help her friend, she wasn't that heartless.
"Ino. Sakura, you might want to get off Sasuke." Peri said, tugging at the girls of her teammate.
"Shut up! You just want him all to yourself, well it's not happening!" the pink-haired girl screamed in anger.
"Yeah mind your own business! He's mine!" Ino yelled annoyed
"I'm pretty sure my friend is my business. Sasuke's not an object, he's his own person." the Senju replied.
"You're right, he's more like a sexy lone wolf~OH SASUKE!~" Sakura cooes
"Um… you're being really creepy right now." Peri sweatdropped as she and Sasuke moved away from the fangirls totally grossed out.
"Hey you guys, you might want to keep it down for a bit. I mean no offense, but you guys are the ten rookies. Fresh out of the academy right? This isn't a field trip so just cool it." a gray haired teen said.
That didn't sit well with them. "Well, who asked you?! Who are you?!" Inosnapped, annoyed, speaking out everyone's thoughts.
"I'm Kabuto Yakushi. But look around, you made quite the scene." he said.
The group looked around the room nervously, noticing that their little squabble caused a scene. Everybody was looking at them with cold observing looks making some of the rookies nervous.
(Everyone is on a completely higher level!) Peri said nervously
"DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME! I DON'T QUIT AND I DON'T RUN AWAY AND I'M BEAT EVERY ONE OF YOU!" Naruto yelled
"You moron read the room you big dummy!" Peri snapped, putting her blonde teammate in a tight headlock.
"You kids remind me of myself when I took the exams for the first time." the grey haired ninja laughed.
"This isn't your first time?" Choji asked
"No, it's…my seventh. They host exams twice a year so this will be my seventh time taking him." Kabuto explained
"So you're an expert then." Naruto noted
"Some expert, he's never pass. Man I knew this was going to be a drag." Shikamaru groaned.
Kabuto laughed a bit, scratching his head lightly, "Come on cut me some slack, it's not like I've done nothing. I can help you by giving you information about the other competitors with the help of a ninja information card."
That caught everyone's attention as the older genin
"Information cards? What are those?" Peri asked
"To simply put it, I have data on all of the competitors in this room. Their villages, strengths, and weaknesses, the number of teams from each village, and their teammates. Even information about you guys," he explained.
"Do those cards have information on the people, individually?" Sasuke asked
"Yes, do you have someone in mind? Just give their names and villages." Kabuto said smugly.
"He's Gaara of the Desert from the Hidden Sand and Rock Lee of the Hidden Leaf while you're at it." Sasuke answered.
Kabuto pulled out two cards from his deck and placed him on the ground.
"Rock Lee is a year older than you guys and was top of his class too. His sensei is Might Guy and his teammates are Tenten and Neji Hyuga. His taijutsu skills are very impressive, but his other skills are lacking a bit."
Hinata flinched a little when she heard Neji's name.
"Now because Gaara of the Desert. There's not a lot of info on him. But he's the son of the Kazekage and….Wow. It says here on every mission he's on he has never gotten hurt. Even when he went on a B-rank mission" Kabuto said.
"That's not possible, how has he never gotten hurt on a mission!" Peri gasp in disbelief
"He went in a B-rank mission and didn't get hurt at all?"Shikamaru stutters
"What's the deal with this guy?" Naruto asked, shocked.
They didn't get their answer since three sound ninjas attacked Kabuto.V
"KABUTO ARE YOU OKAY?!" Naruto asked,
Three Sound ninjas were standing over the injured teen.
"How about you put this on your ninja cards, the ninjas of the Hidden Sound Village are not the ones to mess with!" the girl sneered,
"Why you!" the blonde jinchuuriiki growled, charging at them.
"No don't Naruto!" Peri said, holding her angry teammate back.
(I've got a bad feeling about those three.) the Senju shuddered
A large puff of smoke appeared out of nowhere engulfing the room, it settled down, revealing a group of chunin with one tall man wearing a black trenchcoat.
"Alright now pipe down! The exams are about to begin, I'm Ibbki Morino, in other words your worst nightmare." he grinned sinsterly.
Fun Fact: Sasuke hates his fangirls.
