The next few weeks were quiet for Minerva and the rest of them at the cottage. Harry was staying away, he had not written or reached out to the family in anyway. She was hurt by all of it but knew that Harry just needed time to think everything over.
"Minerva, are you almost ready?" Charlie hollered down the hall of the cottage.
"I will be there in a few!" She answered.
Andromeda smiled. "She is never ready on time. Remus and Nymphadora were always late because of that little girl." She chuckled as she recalled all the times, they were late.
He sighed. "I am just so nervous, and I want her to make a good first impression on my family. I am sure that they all know that Harry has a sister, and that they have all formed an opinion on it. I just want them to see Minerva for who she really is, and not this secret she had."
"Charlie, it will all be fine. Your family is very kind and accepting towards others. Also, I am sure your mother will be excited that her Charlie has a girlfriend." Andromeda reassured him.
He nodded at her, as Minerva made her way into the living room. "You are sure that this is a good idea. Charlie, Harry is not even talking to me and when you call a family dinner, I am sure he will be there."
"If he wants, he can leave. Minerva it is time to meet them all. Percy's wedding is coming up in just over a month and I want you there for it." He handed her, her cloak. "Ready?"
She took it and nodded. "I guess that I have to be."
They disapparated outside the burrow, the house was as she remembered it the night of Bill's wedding. It was so cozy, and welcoming. As they entered the kitchen, they heard the family all in the living room.
"Mom, I do not think that having that big of a guest list is what we are looking for." Percy smiled at his mother.
"Do your old mother this one favor, I want to show off all of my children on their big days." Molly smiled.
"I just do not think –" He was cut off.
"Charlie." George waved at him,
"Good afternoon. Some big wedding planning going on?" Charlie walked in; Minerva stood in the kitchen trying to gather herself.
Percy glared at his brother. "Yes, they seem to all have ideas for my wedding."
"It is a family affair, and I think that a mother should play a big part in her sons wedding." Molly looked at Arthur for back up, but he just shrugged.
"Charlie, you called this family dinner. What is the news?" Ginny jumped in.
"Yes, I did call this dinner. I have a few things that I need to tell you all. I am so excited that I finally get to do this." He motioned for Minerva to come in.
Minerva walked in, she looked at the family. Molly and Arthur were both shocked that there was a girl standing beside Charlie. Bill gave Charlie a grin and a wink. Fleur beamed with excitement. Percy and Audrey had a look of relief on their faces, finally something to stop the wedding chatter. George waved at Minerva giving her a big smile. Angelina was confused at George's reaction. Ron looked at Hermione with a 'what the hell' look. Ginny was just as shocked at the rest of her family, until she seen Harry get up and walk out the front door. Ginny chased after him.
"This is Minerva, she is my girlfriend." Charlie took her hand.
"Hello." She said softly.
Molly jumped up off the sofa. "Hello dear, you are beautiful. Finally." She hugged her son.
Percy laughed. "Yes, finally the family was beginning to think that you would die a lonely old dragon man."
"That is another thing that we need to talk about." Charlie and Minerva sat down on a few chairs that were around the living room.
"You are dying?" Ron asked confused.
"No Ronald, the Dragon thing. Minerva here has convinced me that family is more important then travel and work." He smiled at her. "I have decided to leave the camp and move home."
Molly squealed with excitement. "I really do like you." She hugged Minerva.
"Thank you, Mrs. Weasley." She smiled.
"Oh dear, call me Molly." She went into the kitchen to begin dinner.
"Well that went well." Charlie whispered to Minerva.
"Yeah, all except, where did Harry and Ginny go?" Minerva pointed to where they were sitting moments ago.
An hour had passed, the family was teasing Charlie about all the times that he wasted with the Dragons and how they thought he would end up with one of them.
Minerva managed to slip away, she looked out the window and seen Harry talking to Ginny.
"You okay, dear?" Molly came behind her.
Minerva jumped. "No, not really." She turned and faced Molly. "He hates me."
Molly was confused. "Who hates you? Charlie seems very much in love with you."
Minerva smirked. "No, not Charlie. He is amazing and we adore each other."
"Then who, dear? Who hates you?" She sat down at the kitchen table.
Minerva sat with her. "Harry, once he learned the truth. I lost him before I even got to know him."
Molly was confused. "Harry? How did you lose Harry? What makes you think he hates you?"
"You don't know?" She thought that they would have all known by now.
"Know what?" Molly asked.
"My full name is Minerva Lily Potter, and I am the little sister of Harry. I just told him a few weeks ago, and he walked out on me, angry."
Molly's face was in shock. "Ginny did mention that, but I did not realize that it was you."
Minerva nodded. "Yes, I am the little sister. The coward that has been lying to everyone my whole life."
"Do not say that dear, I am sure there is more to it then that." She took her hand. "I see a very gentle and confused soul in your eyes."
Minerva nodded. "I just wish that Harry would talk to me."
"He will come around, he always does. Just give him time and space. Minerva, to him that is a big betrayal not only by you but by all those who he loved. Sirius and Remus both knew, that to him was a big stab in the heart." Molly got up to finish dinner.
"Yes, you are right." Minerva got up and began helping her.
Outside Harry was sitting on a rock with Ginny, he had not said a word to her since they went out. She waited with him, he was stubborn, but she was just as big headed.
"Ginny, you do not have to be out here. Go celebrate with your family." Harry spoke.
"I am not leaving you out here, I am staying until you come in." She took his hand.
"I can not go in there. She is in there and I am not willing to be around her." Harry sighed.
"It is your sister, isn't she?" Ginny should have known that is what triggered him.
Harry nodded. "Yes, that is Minerva. She kept this from me for so long, she lied."
"Harry, I get that she had plenty of opportunities to tell you. She should have in the last two years. I get that you are angry with her but is it really her fault?"
"Yes, it is." Harry snapped at her.
"Harry just think, maybe her life was not as perfect as you think. Yes, she had the love of Remus and all those around her, but she was a secret. Minerva was not allowed to be herself in fear that she would get herself killed. The adults in her life engraved into her head that if you knew who she was that the Dark Lord would kill her to get to you. Just think of what that could do to one's mind." Ginny knew that he needed to move past this.
"I get that part Ginny, but what about the last two years? She ran off and hid with Charlie in Romania. They both could have said something, the Dark Lord was dead. Then there was Andromeda, she knew as well, and she said nothing." Harry was beginning to get angry.
"Harry, she was scared. She had lost everyone and had no idea what she was to do. As for any of the others that knew, it was not their secret to tell." Ginny looked at him.
"Ginny, I just do not know if I can get over this. Not this soon." Harry stood up. "I should just head home."
Ginny took his hand. "No, there is enough Weasley's in there that if you want to avoid her you can. Harry you are part of this family, and she is now as well. If you do not want to like her, then don't but you need to learn to tolerate her. For me."
"Ginny, that is the thing I do not hate her. She is my little sister; she is the only blood family that I have. How can I hate her? I just think that if I am around her when I am this angry that things may be said." Harry looked at the burrow.
Ginny smiled at him. "Give it a chance, please. I think that you and Minerva need each other. Get to know her, be her brother. There is a lot that you two need to catch up on. You guys have lost eighteen years, do not lose anymore time."
Harry thought on her words for a few moments, he had to do this for Ginny. "Why do you always have to be right?"
She kissed him. "Better get use to that."
He smiled at her. "Do you think that you can tell Minerva that I wish to speak to her?"
Ginny's smile grew bigger. "Of course, I will."
Harry watched her as she ran off. "Ginny, this is because I love you." He sighed.
Ginny ran into the Burrow. "Mom, where is Minerva?"
"My dear, why the urgency?" Molly asked as she set the table.
"Harry wants to talk to her. I think I got him in a good place with her, we must act fast." She went into the living room.
"Oh look who has joined us." George laughed.
"Zip it." She looked away from her brothers. "Minerva, Harry wants to talk to you."
Minerva shook her head. "I do not think that is a good idea."
"Trust me, it is the best idea. Just go see what he wants to talk about." Ginny grabbed her hand.
"Fine." Minerva left the burrow.
Minerva slowly walked her way over to where Harry was standing. Staying behind him, she sighed.
"We need to talk." Harry said as he turned and faced her.
"We do. I will only talk if you promise not to storm off and yell at me." She sat down on the field of grass.
"I promise." He sat down beside her.
Ginny and Charlie were both looking out the window.
"How do you think this will go?" Ginny asked.
"Fingers crossed, that it will all work. I have known Minerva for years and all she has ever wanted was a relationship with her brother." Charlie sighed.
"I don't know why she would want that; older brothers are not all they are cracked up to be." She smiled at Charlie.
Minerva looked up at the clouds. "Harry, I am truly sorry that you are feeling this way."
"I get that you are sorry, but Minerva this hurts." Harry looked at her as she watched the clouds. He seen how much she looked like their mother.
"I know, and if I were you, I would hate me as well." She turned and looked at him.
"Minerva, I do not hate you. That is part of the reason why it hurts so much. I want to be angry with you, but my heart will not allow me to. You are my little sister, and we were separated for eighteen years." Harry seen a small smile on her face.
"Harry, I promise that from here on out I will never lie to you." She fought back happy tears. "I just want to have a relationship with you, get back all the lost time."
He nodded. "As do I, but this relationship with take some work."
"Of course, I would expect nothing else."
He stood up, he reached out his hand to help her up.
She took his hand. "Thank you."
Harry reached over and pulled her into a hug. He knew that Ginny would be watching the two of them and that he needed it to look good for her.
Minerva was taken back at what he had just done, she hugged him back. This was all right; she finally had her brother.
"Well, should we get back to the Weasley's. You sure you ready for such a colorful family?" He joked as they walked into the burrow.
She smiled as she nodded at him. "It is all that I have ever wanted."
Minerva was quiet that evening at dinner time, she was taking in all the laughter and love that this family had for each other. This is what she dreamed about when she was a little girl.
After dinner the family all made their way into the living room. "How about some Fire Whiskey." George grabbed a few bottles.
"That sounds great to me. We have a lot to celebrate." Arthur made glasses line up on the coffee table in front of him.
"Hold up." Molly looked around. "You are all old enough?" She went down the row of her children and their spouses. She stopped at Minerva. "Wait, you?"
Minerva smiled at her. "Yes."
"You are Harry's little sister, and he is only 19. So, what does that make you?" She looked at Charlie.
"I am eighteen, I will be nineteen on August seventeenth." She responded.
Percy nudged Charlie. "Only eighteen, I thought she was at least twenty-one."
Charlie nodded. "She gets that a lot."
George poured them all a glass of Fire Whiskey, they drank the rest of the night away. There were good times and laughter. Harry and Ginny left the celebrations early because Harry had to work in the morning. It was pushing three in the morning when the last of them decided that they should all call it a night.
Minerva followed Charlie up to his bedroom. "I remember this room; I hid out here for a little bit."
He nodded and kissed her deeply.
She pushed him back on his bed, climbing on top of him. She almost fell off the bed, she had a little too much to drink. "I love you Mr. Charlie Weasley."
He pulled her closer to him, he kissed her neck. "Not as much as I love you Miss. Potter."
They then spent the rest of the evening wrapped up in each other. Minerva have never felt this light in her life.
