Making A Deal With Death

I heard a swosh passed by my ears,

As a sword comes flying out of nowhere,

Cutting the scythe's blade,

Away from my neck.

That's not possible,

I thought to myself

As I see your soul in between me and Death

Talk about an out of body experience,

I hear you say something among the lines of

You like making deals.

It place its skeletal hand on its chin

It respond in a rasp voice

"What did you have in mind?"

If I win, I get to stay with the one I love,

"If you lose?"

...Then I'll go quietly,

I have a question to ask you,

Where will you take me,

After this is over and done?

"It depends on, what you made out

Of your life,

In the world of the living,"

You do know,

that I'm not afraid of you, right?

"You're one of a few expectations."

Phoenix are you sure, you want to do this?

We won't be able to see or be together, if you lose,

Boris, there's no pain I won't go through

I would die for you,

Clashes and screeches of metal against metal could be heard, going back and forth, to and fro.
