Chapter 3: The Fastest Hermes Ever Moved

The trip to Orario had been the FASTEST Hermes could have ever brought himself to move. Both the pestering of his child and The Argonaut had nearly broken his patience. He basically broke the beasts carrying them from all the strain they were forced to endure. Instead of taking weeks Herme's magical speeds nearly made it back to Orario in a single day.

They arrived at the gate late at night. Normally they'd need to go and get checked out, however the Ganesha familia trusted and knew Hermes. So it was simple for him to enter while the Clown hid under a blanket that covered him.

It wasn't long until the three made it to the front of the Mistress of Fertility. Where Hermes decided to dump the Clown. He handed him roughly twenty thousand Valis to keep the Clown quiet about a certain peephole the Messenger God had in the upper world. Before the God and Asfi departed towards their own Familia home.

Rather hungry from the trip the Clown found himself staring down the Inn with a smirk before walking inside. "Hello Beauties I've arrived" The ever cocky Clown said as he walked inside to find a Beast Man talking about an incident in the dungeon.

The Argonaut gave a single look before heading in that direction. His flaming magic sword upon his back as he made it to the table with fast steps.

"SERIOUSLY AIS WHO WOULD YOU RATHER MATE WITH ME OR-" Bete began before the table slammed into his gut with power he though unfathomable.

"Shut it Yuri. You can't be a hero if you pick on the weak" The Clown said with a bright smile. Right after he spoke Loki slammed her drink on the table her eyes wide and she basically screamed.

"ARGONAUT!" Loki's voice echoed around the room as Bete jumped up kicking his right foot towards the boy. Without a second passing the Clown's flaming magic sword clashed against his leg guards causing a plume of flames to surround them.

"Yeesh Yuri you're really mad aren't ya?" The Argonaut teased jumping back as Bete gave chase. Swinging his legs rampantly as the two soon left the Inn and made it into the street.

Their blazing speeds were hard for the rest of the Adventurers to see, however the funniest thing was the way the Argonaut was fighting. His stance like a clown holding a sword for the first time, however his parries and dodging was on par with any first tier adventurer.

"AIS. TIONE. TIONA. FINN. RIVERIA. STOP BETE RIGHT NOW HE'S SO OUTMATCHED IT'S PITIFUL!" Loki screamed her normally playful demeanor gone. Bete wasn't fighting some nobody right now, but the Hero who started a whole Era by himself.

"Understood" Finn said taking Loki's tone as reason enough as Tione without needing to be commanded kicked Bete into a nearby.

Finn and Ais stood in front of Argonaut. Their weapons drawn and ready to fight the newcomer. Ais however noticed an uncanny resemblance to the boy she saw before, however the man in front of her was absolutely confident in his ability and skill.

The Argonaut gave a hum. "Dim? Ariadne? Guess Loki is collecting all my old friends huh?" The Argonaut gave a rather cold gaze towards them. "Well not like it'll matter much." The Argonaut said readying himself for the strikes.

Finn and Ais knew they shouldn't fight him. They knew it could hurt someone, but somewhere deep inside they felt a need to beat this boy for something. Like he'd done something unforgivable. The fire began to rage hotter and hotter until The Clown spoke.

"Sorry. I left you guys without an apology, but I'm back for my next adventure. I hope you'll forgive me" The Argonaut said holstering his blade and rubbing the back of his head. He wasn't sure if it would quench their rage for fighting Yuri, however he figured he'd give it a shot.

"I-I" Finn began. Up until a moment ago his finger was twitching so badly he couldn't bare it. That was why he held his spear so tightly, however after the apology Finn's determination to fight began to falter. It felt like if he swung his spear he'd be the villain instead of the boy in front of him.

Ais whom still had her sword unsheathe seemed unimpressed by his words. She noticed how he managed to fight Bete, and the Sword Princess wanted to see how she'd fair in that fight herself.

Her thoughts however were cut short as a familiar white haired boy ran past everyone. The staff from the Inn complaining as The Argonaut watched him run. "That's him?" He questioned watching as the boy ran past and towards the dungeon.

It was then that the fighting stopped. Without a moment of hesitation the Clown ran to Loki. "Falna. Gimme. Now" He said lifting the shirt off his back exposing his rather well toned back to the confused Loki.

"W-What?" The Goddess questioned. She was almost certain he'd join another Familia with the way everyone reacted, however Loki was ever the optimist as she took a knife from Bete and pricked her finger before letting a drop of her blood splash onto the Argonauts back. Her godly Ichor being absorbed greedily by the boys body as her Falna appeared.

Before the Goddess had a chance to take a gander at the stats of the Argonaut. She noticed he'd already began running towards the dungeon.

The rest of the Familia sat there scratching their heads. Including Bete who was trying to wrap his head around the newcomer who was going toe to toe with him without even having a level or falna.

"S-Should we go with him?" Finn questioned as his goddess shook her head.

"You'd only slow him down. That kid is a hero. I'll explain it when we get home. Lets go" Loki said standing up and heading towards the Twilight Manor. A bit worried that she'd let The Clown into her Familia, however more fearful of what he'd do should he find the time to harass the girls in the Familia.
