Chapter 4: The Argonaut & The Dungeon
The Argonaut gave off a hefty gasp as he ran after the boy who sprinted just like himself. Although he was faster. The years in the Upper World had made him rather lazy, falling not short from Hestia herself. All the same while readjusting to the gravity the lower world had he was able to make progress after the boy named Bell.
After a while of following behind the boy in the dungeon The Argonaut decided to brandish his own sword. Cutting the monsters that were spawning behind Bell in a quieter manner than his counterpart. 'Good Job Bell' The Argonaut thought as he kept after the boy.
It wasn't much further until the pair had entered into a room full of War Shadows. Bell was already doing his best to learn and adapt to his situation. His body being mangled in the process as he fought dozens of War Shadows alone.
The Argonaut had decided not to help for the moment. He needed time to adapt to the situation. That and he'd decided his entrance should be grand like Yuri's was with his. It wasn't much longer until a stray strike found it's way into Bell's shoulder cutting deep into his flesh and letting it splatter to the dungeon floor.
Only then did the Argonaut move into action.
"The Argonaut" He began giving his magic sword a slash clearing away a quarter of the enemies. "Made his appearance with his grand and Handsome manly looks" He continued as another slash came wiping out the rest of the shadows in the second strike. "Slaying more than a thousand War Shadows to save his friend" He finished with a bright smile towards Bell.
Bell. Who hadn't even known he was being followed couldn't help but laugh as he sat on the dungeon floor. After everything. The fight with the Minotaur, Bete, and now being surrounded and outmatched The Argonaut still made his counter part laugh, however in his typical fashion he had to keep it going.
"Whhhhhat?" He said in a teasing tone. "Laughing at my heroics how dare you" The Argonaut said prostrating himself in the most heroic manner he could. Which involved him using a large stone to keep one foot up.
Unfortunately for the Clown as he took the position his foot slipped causing his body to slip and hitting his head against the ground letting of a girlish complaint.
Bell who witnessed everything keeled over with laughter as The Argonaut joined him. Ever the Clown he couldn't exist in a world that he couldn't bring joy to.
Soon enough Argo stood. "Hey" He said offering a hand to Bell. "You fought pretty well back there, but you need to keep a better guard" Argo said with a warmer tone.
It wasn't much longer until Bell took his hand. "Thanks" He said with a smile plastered on his face. "I'm Bell by the way" Bell said as he stood up although on weakened legs. "Figured I should tell you that much since you helped me out" Bell clarified as he noticed Argo bore a strange resemblance to himself.
"Ahh it's no biggie" The Argonaut said happily. "I'm Argo. Or Argonaut. Whichever is easier" Argo said happily. He knew by the look of Bell he'd probably pass out from exhaustion if he was left alone. "You wanna…" Argo began looking back the way they came. "Pay for that bill you left at that Tavern? We look alike and I don't want that angry bar lady to hit me" Argo said with a smile towards Bell.
Bell gave a look of shock as he realized his mistake. "Oh no" He said giving a gulp. "Miss Syr might get blamed for me" Bell said as he began running towards the entrance with Argo on his heels.
"Geez Hermes was right you are a ladies man" Argo teased having seen all of Bell's antics up until now. He figured he'd help the boy pay as well as escort him home. He was a Hero after all.
