Chapter 5: Loki Familia.
"Loki. Stop joking. Our Familia's reputation is on the line here" Finn said with a stern expression on his face. Since they'd gotten home the top executives and highest level members had been interrogating Loki and what she said our front of the Mistress of Fertility.
"Look. I'm not lying this time" Loki explained downing another cup of ale. "That kid is the Argonaut. Like the real one. Didn't you notice the sword? It was spewing magic everywhere. Even Bete couldn't touch him" Loki explained filling up her cup.
"Yes. I get that" Finn said as his stares went to a pouting Beast Human who was shamelessly stalking the window to see when the Argonaut would show up. "But you haven't explained how" Finn reiterated his question to his goddess.
"Look. We kept half the kids soul in the Upper World. Zeus and Odin both signed off on it" Loki said rotating her cup filled with Ale. "Kids a hero so nobody cared, but apparently Zeus and Old man Odin had other intentions because he brought him back" Loki finished drinking from her cup with a smile on her face.
"So let me get this straight." Finn said glaring at his Goddess. "A hero born in the Era of Spirits is here. The same hero most of us in this room know of or respect." Finn said leading on to his final comment. "And you let us leave him to his own devices in the dungeon… With a person who seems to have terrible luck?" Finn finally asked.
The sound of chuckling could be heard from the window. "If he is the Argonaut. I'll get to go all out right?" Bete questioned longing for someone strong to enter the Familia as a good sparring partner.
"Well yeah. To both questions." Loki said drinking once again. "Problem is kid would lose and still write that he beat you in his Dairy." The Goddess teased as everyone gave a confused look. "He's a good kid though. I had some laughs and played some tricks on other gods while I was still in the upper world" Loki said sitting back with a smile on her face. "Stupid brat also knew how to use dirt against people too. Even before he met me" Loki seemed to growl remembering how the Clown would blackmail her with their past deeds.
"Alright… So we have the Argonaut?" Tiona finally asked the question. She let everyone ramble on and eventually lost what they were talking about.
"Yeah looks that way" Finn answered as Bete started barking at the window.
"THERE HE IS!" The Beast Human screamed opening the window and leaping out. The rest of the Familia following, except for Loki who was forced to use the stairs.
Argo was just coming back from the Abandoned Church after dropping off Bell. Rotating the right shoulder he used to help Bell as he noticed the figures jumping from the window and standing before himself.
"Ah" Argo said with a soft but rather vivid smile. "I'm home" He said with a soft tone. His hands trembling as he noticed the likeness of all his previous friends in front of himself.
Bete gave his signature Tsk before approaching the Clown. "So are you really the Argonaut? The one from the stories?" Bete questioned still skeptical of the newcomer.
"Uhhhhh" Argo began before giving a smug grin. "Guess you read my diary?" Argo assumed. He'd written everything down in it after all. He was wondering which stories remained from the older Era.
"It's called an Epic" Bete corrected.
"A Epic Diary. Guess if it's mine I could expect no less" The Argonaut shot back giving a playful grin as Bete's normally stone face changed into a odd laugh.
"You're an idiot" Bete said throwing his hand over his eyes and laughing at the boys comment.
"Whhhhat is that what you call a hero?" The Clown questioned "I basically started a whole Era myself!" The clown said stomping his foot a little too hard and yelping like a dog.
Which got a large laugh out of the Beast-Human. "Oh man I can't" Bete said walking away. His will to fight the man completely abolished by his frail and laughable demeanor.
Loki busted through the door moments later. "DON'T DESTROY THE COURTYARD!" Was the first think to leave Loki's lips as she noticed Argo getting off the ground and swatting the dirt from his rear.
"Oh hey Loki!" Argo said with a wave. "If I don't get a nice room I'm gonna tell them about the ti-" Argo began before a cup filled with mead slammed into his face. Causing him to fall over once more with an over dramatic "Ack"
"SHUT UP!" The red face Goddess called. Her feet stomping over as the rest of her Familia laughs with mixed tones. A few curious to see what the boy was going to say.
"You'll bunk with…" Loki said looking over her executives. She had to find someone his idiotic personality wouldn't corrupt. That and she refused the girls immediately knowing the kind of mind the boy possessed. "Finn… You're gonna have to keep him until we get the Clown a room" Loki said sternly enough for Finn to give in immediately.
"Whhat? I have to sleep with him?" Argo complained pointing at the shorter male. Leaving a red hue on Tione's face as she thought the worst.
"Ahem. I wouldn't mind giving him my room if I could bunk with Finn" Tione butted in with a vocalization her thoughts. Before being overcome by a red hue.
"Huh? Does that mean I get to bunk with the Argonaut?" Tiona asked as the group faced Loki. All except Argo.
"Absolutely not. I won't have you spending a single night with hi-" Loki began pointing and turning in Argo's direction, however the whole Familia realized the sly rabbit had already escaped.
"Finn." Loki said in a serious tone as Finn looked towards her worried. "Search the Mansion he can't be around females alone" Loki warned as Finn, Garm, and Bete immediately went around the Manor searching. "And Ai-?" Loki began to say looking towards the rest of the Familia.
"Where did Ais and Tiona go?" Loki questioned as a bead of sweat ran down her brow. She was worried about the easily impressed Amazon, and the aloof sword princess the most. "Riveria. Tione. Find my girls" Loki said turning towards the two females she trusted the most. Without a word the two sprang into action both running down both sides of the street.
