Charlie did his best to block her view of the dark haired girl from next door, but Bella still found a way to watch her. She moved with grace, almost like she was dancing. The seven of them settled at a large table in the back, laughing and joking, not bothered at all by the way the people glared at them. Everyone but Bella, that was. She was enthralled with them, especially her.

In the days that followed, Bella found herself watching her from her window more and more. Sometimes, it seemed like she went outside because she knew Bella was watching. It was the way she always danced around, especially in the rain. The way the raindrops stuck to her skin, her clothes fitting around her . . . It was the first time Bella envied the rain. How she wished she could be the one wrapped around her, holding her, kissing her.

"Bella," Charlie yelled, and when she looked at her open door, she almost expected him to be there, watching her as she watched the queer girl from next door. "Bella, Jacob is here!"

With an envious sigh, she gave the girl another look before she hurried downstairs, where she found Charlie and Jacob Black waiting for her. Jacob had asked her out on a date during dinner the other night, and she couldn't think of a reason to say no quick enough and before she could stop him, Charlie accepted the invitation for her. Jacob Black was the kind of person Charlie would approve of, a good boy, and not a queer girl. Bella didn't want to go, but at least it was better than being locked away in her bedroom.

"Wow, you look beautiful," Jacob said, his eyes traveling down her body, lingering on her breast longer than what was socially acceptable. Charlie didn't seem to notice, even if she had.

"Thanks," she muttered, pulling her sweater away from her a little.

"Not too late, Jake," Charlie warned, though there was a teasing in his tone that made it clear he didn't care how long he kept her out of his hair, as long as she was with him.

"Yes, sir." Jacob gave him an award winning smile before sliding his hand along the small of her back.

Bella's stomach rolled at his touch, but she allowed him to lead her out of the house and down to his truck. He made a show of opening the door for her, helping her inside. All a performance for Charlie, who stood on the front porch with his arms folded in front of him. As Jacob backed out of the driveway, Bella looked over and saw her standing in the window, watching her.

Her date, if you could it that, with Jacob was horrible. Boring, dull, and all he did was talk about himself and his car and how much he loved working on his car. Bella hummed and hawed, nodded and tried to pretend she was interested, but she just couldn't. Not when her every thought was consumed with the girl next door.

After paying for their pizza and soda, Jacob once again helped her into his truck. She had hoped that he would take her home, let her give him the brush off, but seeing as Jacob turned and headed away from town, through the woods, until he reached a clearing, that was not the case. He'd barely shut down the engine when he was on top of her. Pawing at her sweater, trying to undone her jeans.

"No," she cried out, trying to push him off her. "Jacob, no!

"Oh, come on, Bella," Jacob snarled, grabbing her hands and pinning them above her head. "I know you want it. Need it. I overheard Charlie telling Billy how slutty you are."

"No! Get the fuck off me!" she screamed, trying to use her legs and put some space between them, but Jacob was heavier than her.

He forced her down against the seat and used one of his large, meaty hands to hold both her wrists together as he pulled at the button on her jeans. Tears seeped down Bella's face and she screamed again and again, begging someone, anyone to help her. Jacob grabbed her throat, cutting off the air to her lungs.

But in that moment, that perfect moment, both doors to the truck were thrown open and Jacob was yanked off of her. Bella scrambled upwards, finding the auburn haired boy from next door slamming Jacob Black against the side of his truck.

"Get her in the car," he snarled, his deep green eyes shifting from her to someone behind her.

Bella turned and saw the shaggy haired blond one, standing there. His eyes were bright blue, yet dark with furious anger.

"Come on, darlin," he said, slipping his arm around her and gently pulling her out of the truck. "Go wait in the car, while we deal with him."

Bella couldn't explain why in that moment she trusted the two boys, but she found herself hurrying over to the car, throwing open the back door and climbing inside. As she pulled the door closed behind her, she turned and found herself face to face with her.
