A week has passed since Rush was rescued from the Highwaymen and Prosperity has really changed much in that time. The Defenses have improved much, the facilities have grown, and morale has reached a cheerful level. Prosperity was now as secure as a fortress, but that claim has yet to be tested.

Hunter sat on a bed in the infirmary with his shirt off with his girlfriend Carmina right beside him. Selene was examining his wounds that he got from the bear attack that nearly robbed him of his life. It's been weeks since that happened and Hunter's recovery was progressing well.

"How are you feeling today my man?" Selene asked Hunter.

"OK...for the most part," Hunter answered her.

"So, do you have any pain?" Selene asked as she pressed her fingers on Hunter's claw marks which were now just scars.

Hunter felt no pain as Selene pressed her fingers on his scars so he shook his head and said, "No"

"Good," Carmina commented on her boyfriend.

Hunter looked at Carmina and said, "You know Carmina you don't have to keep following me every time Selene has to give me an examination,"

"I know," Carmina sighed. "But you know I worry about you a lot after what happened,"

"I get that, but ever since I got back everyone is just huddling around me, watching my every move and repeatedly asking me if I'm OK," Hunter exclaimed. "Seriously, I mean the next person who comes up to me and asks me that I'm gonna hit 'em."

"Well don't hit me, man, I'm just doin' my job, and it's my job to ask you that question," Selene said, raising her arms in surrender.

"Whatever," Hunter muttered, rolling his eyes.

Carmina let out another sigh and placed her hand on Hunter's. "I know you wanna get back out in the field, I do too, but just be patient for a little longer."

"You can still go out in the field you know, you're not hurt," Hunter stated.

"Yeah, but it's not the same without you out there with me," Carmina admitted.

"Hunter, you just have to wait one more day bro, then after that, I'll clear you for combat," Selene explained.

"Good," Hunter muttered in relief, just one more day then he'll be back in the field with the others, liberating outposts, attacking convoys, killing Highwaymen, etc…

Selene did a few more examinations on Hunter's wounds then she cleared him to leave, so Hunter grabbed his shirt, put it back on followed by a flannel shirt, then got up and left the Infirmary with Carmina behind him to go help Kim and Rush outside.

Today Prosperity was having a celebration to reward everyone for all the hard work they've put in, Kim decided that everyone should have a moment to relax and have fun to forget about their problems for at least one day. The teens liked the idea, it would be nice to eat some cooked food rather than the stuff they usually eat and brighten up other people's spirits.

Marcus and Gina returned to Prosperity to see that there was a celebration going on, which was a scarce thing to find in Hope County these days.

"The hell's going on here?" Gina asked, wondering what everyone was doing this time.

Marcus shrugged. "You got me," he said.

Marcus walked over to Kim and saw her handing some dishes to some of the people sitting on the table.

"Hey, come on over, we're just getting started," Kim said, happily.

"Get it while it's hot. Stuff that smells this good won't last long." Kim said as she led him to Rush, who was operating a grill.

"I will take that as a compliment." Rush said with a grin as he worked the grill. Hunter and Carmina stood right beside him fixing plates.

"Mom thought it'd be a good idea to have a little dinner for everyone. Boost morale. I'd say it's working." Carmina said as she went to a table where Gina was sitting to offer her a plate.

"We all need a little downtime," Kim said holding a plate out to Rush.

"I've had a lot of that these past few weeks." Hunter scoffed before he followed Carmina and served their plates to the children.

"Kim here's got no quit, however." Rush said putting a barbequed fish on the plate.

"Don't expect that to change," Kim said, she handed the plate to Marcus and looked around with a smile. Everyone was having a good time, there was joyful talking, people enjoying a decent meal, and the kids were having fun playing games.

The teens came back to the table to fill their own plates, at that moment Jerome came in front of Hunter as he was filling his plate unaware that he was standing right in front of him. "Nice to see you smiling Hunter."

Jerome's words made Hunter and Carmina jump back a little, they looked up to see Jerome standing in front of them on the other side of the table with a big smile on his face. "Oh, Jerome it's you. Sorry I didn't see you there." Hunter apologized, he was usually alert, but he was having fun right now that he was distracted.

"It's alright Hunter." Jerome waved off Hunter's apology. "Nice to see you smiling, it always makes me happy to see you smile, it's always adorable to see you smile."

That made Marcus, Carmina, Kim, and Rush all laugh, Hunter just lowered his head with his cheeks turning red with embarrassment. "Jerome, I hate it when you bring that up," Hunter whined in a child-like tone.

"But, he has a point. Your smile is adorable." Carmina said, placing a kiss on Hunter's cheek that made him chuckle.

"You know, I can't remember the last time I hosted this many people. Might have been when I told the town I was pregnant with you." Kim said, referring to her daughter.

"Ooh, do tell." Hunter requested, chuckling.

Now it's Carmina's turn to be embarrassed. Kim tried not to look behind her, to see Carmina's embarrassed look. Carmina turned to face her daughter with a sheepish smile.

"Mom..." she said in that whine of a child who doesn't want to be embarrassed in front of her friends, walking over to her mom, wrapping her arms around Kim's arm and resting her head on her shoulder.

"They were all so happy for your dad and me," Kim recalls with a faraway look in her eyes.

"I imagine they were," Hunter said as Kim grabbed Hunter, wrapped her free arm around Hunter, and pulled him to her.

"It's not perfect, and there's still work to do, but it sure is nice to have something to be happy about again." Rush said from the grill.

"I'll drink to that," Kim said before she released Hunter and Carmina then looked at the Captain. "And we wouldn't have any of this if it weren't for you….now come on, grab a drink. It's long overdue."

Kim then turned back to her daughter and Hunter, "Y'all too, put some food in your bellies."

The teens went back to the table, finished filling their plates then went to the table Gina was sitting at, took a seat next to each other, and began eating.

Gina inhaled deeply as she caught a whiff of the food being cooked and served to the people of Prosperity. "Damn, this stuff smells awesome! A lot better than the shit the Highwaymen cook, that's for sure," she said with her mouth-watering.

She wasn't the only one eyeing the food. After many raids and run-ins with the Highwaymen, Marcus had to admit that it was refreshing to see something as peaceful as a community barbecue. It reminded him of a simpler time when one didn't have to think about survival 24/7.

"Yeah, Rush sure knows how to cook," the Captain said as he grabbed a drink to go with his food. "Well, what are you waiting for? Shouldn't let this go to waste!" Gina didn't need him to tell her as she chowed down on the plate Carmina gave her

Marcus looked around at the people of Prosperity happily talking with each other while the children were playing around just as happily. "I could get used to this," Marcus said to himself as he snapped the cap off of the bottle he had, before taking a swig of his drink.

As The teens were chowing down, Timber appeared underneath Hunter and begged for some food, Hunter looked down and smiled at the dog, he took a piece of steak off his plate and handed it to Timber, then petted the dog as he ate the meat.

Things were really looking up for Hope County since the Captain showed up. However, like all good things, it was not meant to last. As soon as Marcus finished his plate, he got up to get more, but when he got up he saw fireworks being fired into the sky close to where they were.

"The hell?" a bystander asked as he and everyone else saw the explosions in the sky.

Fireworks, which could only mean one thing…

"Shit, it's them," Rush said with noticeable anxiety in his voice. The Highwaymen were at their doorstep and that was not good news for anyone. Hunter and a few other ran over to the armory and

"We need to get the kids inside," Kim said, quickly as she quickly went over to the kids playing.

Carmina went over to the Captain. "C'mon"

"I'm coming too," Hunter said as he ran up to them carrying an AK-47.

"Alright," Carmina nodded, she was against it but they had no time to argue right now.

The three ran out to the front gate and saw The Twins and a group of Highwaymen holding three children hostage.

"Oh no," Carmina gasped. They all aimed their weapons at the twins but they weren't intimidated by the three at all.

"Better put those down, you don't wanna scare the kids," Lou warned the Captain and the Teens as she was holding a grenade in her hand.

"Really? Seems to be the only ones scaring them is you," Hunter said, aiming his gun at Lou.

"Whatever," Lou said,

"Carmina," One of the children tried to walk over to her only to be stopped by Highwayman sending him onto his knees aiming his shotgun at his head.

"Don't worry, everything's gonna be OK," Carmina said in order to reassure the children. Mickey slapped Carmina in the face as soon as she said that.

"I'm sorry, I just don't like it when people lie to little kids," Mickey said, Carmina, clasped the spot where Mickey slapped her and Hunter went over to her and trained his rifle on Mickey.

"Do that to her again and I'll cut that arm off." Hunter spat. He was pissed that Mickey just did that to his girlfriend and he would make her hurt.

"We'll do as we damn well please pretty boy," Lou said, stepping off the trunk of the truck and walking up to the young Rook. "You know, you'd make a great Highwayman from what I've heard about you, all you have to do is just join us kid." Lou offered.

Hunter simply scoffed at Lou's pathetic request. "Hell no, I'd rather die."

"That can be arranged," Lou said, taking a few steps closer to Hunter who stood his ground.

"Why are you doing this?" Carmina demanded an answer from the Twins, getting in front of Hunter.

Mickey looked at the Captain and pointed her fingers at him. "Because of your hero here, until you showed up everything was running smoothly. But you… you've become a fucking problem. Taking from us, throwing everything off balance."

"I think we should just kill the kids," Lou suggested as she held out the grenade and took hold of the pin.

"No," Mickey turned back to her sister who removed the pin from the grenade keeping her fingers on the clip to keep it from exploding. "Hold on. We don't want any martyrs here."

Mickey then turned back to the captain and said, "What we want is to make sure that everyone understands that your help is a curse. Every person you help, every child you inspire, every settlement you build we will take from you." Mickey then turned to the Teens. "And when you've got nothing left we'll come for you."

Hunter got back in front of Carmina and faced Mickey. "Oh please we're not afraid of you, no matter what you do we won't back down and we won't stop until every last person in your pathetic excuse for a gang is dead."

Lou looked at Hunter for a second then burst into laughter, and walked over to the boy. "I like you kid, no one's ever had the balls to stand up to Mickey or me like that before, you sure you don't wanna join?"

"No" Hunter spat.

As soon as Lou finished chuckling she walked over to one of the kids, grabbed him, placed the grenade in his little hand. "Don't drop it."

Lou handed the pin to her sister. "The only currency in this world is power. You- you made us look weak. Mickey then started yelling. "That ends now! We are going to take everything that you hold dear. Starting with your home." Mickey told the Captain.

"And if we can't take it we'll break it," Lou added as she got back in the trunk of their truck sitting on the chair.

"Don't be here when we come back," Mickey warned then gave the Captain the pin for the grenade before she got in with her sister.

"C'mere C'mere!" Hunter went over to the kids, kneeled down and hugged two of them while Marcus went over to the scared kid carrying an active grenade in his hand, grabbed the grenade and put the pin back inside it.

The tree watched as the Twins left with their men and as soon as they were all gone they took the kids back inside. This was really bad, in a few hours the Highwaymen would be returning with a much larger force to destroy Prosperity, the last beacon of hope for the County. If they do then all hope will be lost, but the Scavengers aren't gonna go down without a fight.

With the short time they had, Hurk and Sharky planted as many on their mines in the fields of Prosperity to blow up any highwaymen who would step on them. Marcus supervised the placing while the others were fortifying Prosperity from the inside. He didn't know how, but Gina managed to find some old M60s that the Highwaymen were using for their heavy gunner troops. She stashed them away until now, where she was giving to the stronger people of Prosperity who could fight. Fortunately, most of them were able to lift such heavy weaponry, and some of them even knew how to work them, being survivors of the war with Eden's Gate. This impressed and comforted Gina, who felt that she wasn't much of a teacher and didn't really have a lot of time to do it in.

Hurk looked up at the wall, which Gina was instructing the machine gun-wielding fighters. "Hot damn, does my girl know how to work a gun!" he swooned noticeably. Even Sharky, who was careful of not letting Hurk notice, was also staring at the commanding figure Gina was being right now.

Marcus quickly noticed that neither of the two idiots was laying explosives like they were supposed to. Marcus loudly cleared his throat. "You guys can ogle women when we've fended off the Highwaymen. Get back to work!" He commanded as he laid down another homemade IED. The two morons then immediately went back to work. "Hey Sharky," Marcus said to the pyromaniac. "How strong are these explosives gonna be? We wanna save this place while killing Highwaymen, but we don't want to ruin it forever, you know?"

Sharky chuckled at that statement. "You don't have to worry about that, Cap," he assured. "These will definitely kill any helmet-heads and any cars that get near 'em, but won't do too much damage to the landscape. At least they shouldn't."

That last part didn't give Marcus much confidence, but at least it will deal with their Highwaymen problem. "By the way, what did you use to make these? I noticed that there wasn't much stuff in the explosive lab to make as many land mines like this."

Sharky laughed. "Yeah, I noticed that too, so me and Hurk decided to go into our stash of party liquor to make these babies."

The Captain's eyes widened. "Guys, we can use that ethanol for things other than to drink and blow stuff up!" He said in outrage, not believing that he's using all this ethanol for bombs. He shook his head and realized that his options were few, so these fuel-based landmines would have to fend off the bandits coming for them.

When Marcus and the morons were done placing the mines they went to help others prepare for the attack that was coming.

To prepare for the onslaught that was coming their way, Hunter was helping Grace load as many guns as they could. Jerome and the others didn't want Hunter fighting but he assured them that he was fine and they needed every able-bodied man and woman they had so they reluctantly allowed him to help in the fight.

Hunter went over to help Grace at the Armory. Their armory was filled with guns, most of them were from the trainyard that he, Carmina, the Captain raided over a month ago. It's a good thing they had all these guns if they didn't then they won't have enough to fend off the Twin's forces.

When Grace handed Hunter a sniper rifle, he felt a little uneasy. He would much rather use his bow to fight the Highwaymen, but thanks to that bear incident, he was left with an alternative way of long-range killing. "Hey, Grace?" Hunter asked the blind woman, who turned her head. "I don't suppose you have any last-minute pointers on how to handle one of these things?"

Grace chuckled. "Yeah," she said. "Aim for the bucket-heads and don't miss." That didn't really give Hunter a lot of confidence, as he did not have a long history of handling a rifle, pistols he was experienced with, but rifles weren't his strong suit.

"I really wish I still had my bow," Hunter muttered to himself. He then felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Nana with a smile on her old face.

"Don't worry, dearie," she said comfortingly. "I'll teach you all I know with what little time we have until those hoodlums come,"

Hunter smiled at Nana, she's always willing to help him out whenever he needs it. In the hours passing Nana taught Hunter the basics of sharpshooting, he was really quick to learn, but that was Hunter for ya he's always a quick learner.

Nana put together a few dummies for Hunter to practice, he had trouble landing shots on them but following Nana's instructions he scored several direct hits, most of them hitting the targets directly while only a few hit the targets.

The old woman was impressed with the boy's skills, he really is a skilled fighter.

The Captain assigned people to certain positions, Hunter and Nana took up a sniping position atop the roof of the building. Carmina, Kim, Grace, and Rush decided to stay near the house in order to protect their young and the people who aren't willing or able to fight. Hurk, Sharky, Gina, and Marcus along with many others took positions on the walls.

When the Highwaymen finally arrived to destroy Prosperity, the first wave suffered heavy casualties due to Hurk and Sharky's homemade explosives, and the rest were cut down by the men armed with MG's that Gina supplied.

The second wave was larger, the men were more experienced and better armed, they came in with ramps to climb the walls. Marcus and his friends killed as many of them as they could, but Trucks with ramps showed up to allow the Highwaymen to climb the walls. Hurk used his bazooka and destroyed as many of them as he could, not many made it thanks to him, but a few made it.

At the sniping position, Hunter and Nana killed as many Highwaymen running up the ramps over the walls as they could. Some managed to make it over the walls but the Captain managed to deal with any who made it over.

As Nightfall came, Prosperity managed to deal with the second wave but suffered heavy casualties with many others wounded. Many of the Scavengers were growing exhausted from the fighting, but there was no time to rest as the final wave was coming in and it was their largest.

The fight against the Highwaymen lasted until midnight, Prosperity a community of dozens of people were holding out against an army. Surprisingly they managed to deal with the final wave but it cost almost all of their fighters and the defenses sustained heavy damage. The remaining Highwaymen retreated for their lives.

The battle was over, the Scavengers won, but at great cost.

The Captain stared at the remains of Prosperity, there were fires burning all over the community, and dead bodies littered the field. This wasn't a victory, it was just a massacre. Despite their best planning, the community took a lot of damage. Nowhere near as bad as it could have been, but it was still pretty bad.

Marcus looked around and saw Kim performing CPR on a woman who was shot several times, there was no way she was still alive or that she could be revived but Kim just kept pushing on her chest.

"Mom, mom," Carmina said trying to get her attention but it was on deaf ears, Kim continued performing CPR not even aware of her daughter. Hunter ran up to Kim and kneeled down to her to get her attention too.

"Hey, hey. Look at us." Hunter shook her but got no response.

" Are you ok? Are you hurt?" Carmina asked, getting her mother's attention. Kim looked at both teens, placed her hands on their shoulders, and took a breath.

"No, I'm fine. What about both of you?" Kim asked her daughter and stepson, looking them over for any wounds.

"Don't worry about us, we're fine," Hunter assured her, Carmina gave a nod of agreement.

"Alright, just do what you can." Rush told Nick and someone else as he made his way over to the group.

"How bad is it?" Kim asked Rush, but by the tone of her voice, she really didn't want to know the answer.

"We held them off but we're still in trouble. We lost some people and the wounded are in bad shape. Twins come back, we can't stop them." Rush said, straight to the point as always.

"We need help," The Captain said, wiping some blood off his face.

"There's nobody left," Kim argued, turning around to look at Rush.

"What about that group in the North? New Eden?" Rush asked. Kim looked stunned while Carmina had a look the Captain couldn't quite place.

"Wait...Is that a joke?" Kim questioned, standing up off the ground, facing Rush with a shocked look.

"I've seen them in action. They hit the camp I was being held at one night… only a few of them. Took more bullets than is humanly possible, but just vanished into the forest. The Highwaymen call them ghosts, but I know what I saw. Those people were doped to the fucking gills. We need what they have." Rush said.

"Rush has a point, Kim, from what we've heard the Highwaymen seem to fear them, " Hunter said.

"You realize you're talking about going to Joseph Seed. A man who terrorized and brutalized our family for years." Kim argued.

"But that was before… He's left us in peace, Mom. Whatever happened in the past is the past." Carmina argued.

"You two stay out of this," Kim told the teens.

"We need help," Carmina argued against her mother.

"I know you don't like it Kim, but it doesn't seem like we have much of a choice," Hunter argued. "It's either we get their help or we die."

Kim stood silent choosing her next words, they were right they needed help but after everything Eden's Gate did to Hope County in the past there was no way she was willing to put her trust in them.

"A deal with New Eden is a deal with the Devil," Kim stated sternly.

"It's the only one on the table. Whatever they have….whatever their secrets, we need it." Rush said.

"I agree, I'll head out first thing in the morning to see if I can convince these New Edener's to help us," Marcus said.

Kim stood silent before she just shook her head in frustration and walked off. The Teens whispered something to each other before they walked in front of the Captain. "We're going with you Cap, to New Eden," Hunter said.

"Umm… I'm not sure that's a good idea, from what I heard about these people I don't think they'll take kindly to outsiders especially you too. It may be better if I go alone," Marcus stated.

"Marcus we know it's dangerous, but if you get yourself into trouble then you're gonna need someone to back you up," Carmina said.

"I appreciate the offer guys, but it's too dangerous for y'all to go out there with me," Marcus argued.

"Dude, I've been in their territory before and I know the fastest way to their compound," Hunter explained to the Captain. "Besides, I'm itching to get back out in the field I've been cooped up in here long enough."

Hunter hunted for meat for Prosperity in the Peggie's territory sometimes with Jerome when he was around nine years old and they always managed to avoid the New Edeners, so he could be a great help, but that wasn't the only reason Hunter wanted to go with the Captain, there was someone in New Eden that he needed to see, the man who saved him 'The Judge'.

"Look we're going with you and you're not gonna stop us," Carmina stated firmly placing her hands on her hips and Hunter crossing his arm.

Marcus saw that there was no changing their minds so he has no choice to comply. "Alright but you both stay close and don't do anything unless I say,"

"Fine," Hunter sighed.

"OK," Carmina nodded.

"Good now both of you should get some rest, we'll have a long drive tomorrow," Marcus said.

With that in mind, all three of them went to their rooms to rest up for their journey north in the morning.

As Hunter and Carmina were sleeping peacefully in their beds, Marcus however couldn't sleep. He was sitting on the couch by the command center thinking about tomorrow. In the morning he and the Teens will be heading out to search for a group of savages from what he heard are capable of sustaining multiple gunshot wounds without dying and can move like shadows to attempt to convince them to join them in their fight against the Highwaymen.

"Like that was gonna be easy to do," Marcus thought to himself.

What Kim said about the leader of New Eden, Joseph Seed, or what he chose to call himself 'The Father' reminded him of what happened on the island. A strange bearded man appeared before him under a darkened sky and guided him to a book that he believes God wanted Joseph Seed to bestow before him.

He thought that all that was just bullshit but it felt so real, he was holding that same book that he recovered from the old bunker in his hand. He took a look at it every chance he got, a lot of it he couldn't understand, but what he could understand Joseph prophesied that a man would help him build his New Eden for when the Collapse ended, a man who would see the truth.

"Could it be 'The One who could not walk away'?" Marcus wondered to himself.

Marcus needed some answers from this...Joseph Seed, he needed to understand like Why was this given to him? Or Who is 'The One who could not walk away'?" Hopefully tomorrow he'll get his answers.

Knowing that tomorrow he'll need to be rested, the Captain tried again to get some sleep and managed to drift off into a peaceful slumber.

Tomorrow was gonna be a very busy day for him and everyone else.

Meanwhile, the Judge was wide awake while the other villagers and many of the Chosen were sleeping soundly. The Judge however couldn't sleep, not that he minded really he doesn't sleep half the time. So during the nights that he spent not sleeping, he used his time to guard New Eden, practice his skills, or look up at the stars of the beautiful night sky. Tonight the Judge was sitting outside of his hut sitting on a bench looking up at the stars, but his mind wasn't at ease though.

The Judge had a feeling in his stomach, a familiar one that reminded him of the old days before the Collapse. He knew a lot of Sinners had just died tonight at the hands of the locust, it became somewhat of a sixth sense to him. While he was glad that none of his own people had suffered at the hands of wild animals or those Highwaymen, he had the innate desire to help those who faced danger. Yet another reminder of the old days, but one that was slowly becoming harder to remember every time Ethan used that damn music box on him. One of his worst fears was that he would completely forget who he once was before the world blew up if Ethan had his way.

One thing was for sure: he needed the Father to come back and soon so he can put an end to Ethan's tyranny.

He was also concerned about the boy he rescued from the clutches of death. For some reason, he felt a little strange when he looked at the boy's face. It had features that reminded him of his own face, one that he has not shown to anyone since he was in the bunker with Joseph. Every time he even looked at himself without the mask he only saw a man that failed in his duty to protect the ones he cared about. He wondered if that were possible in this day and age if he were to fail at protecting the people of New Eden. Either way, he was glad to have helped the boy from before, despite the punishment from Ethan.

The Judge snapped out of his thoughts when he heard someone speak right next to him. He turned his head to the direction where the voice came from and saw the young female Chosen by the name of Ellie, whom the Judge trained along with many of the other Chosen. "Hello there...Judge" Ellie said nervously.

The Judge just looked at her wondering what she was doing at his hut in the middle of the night before letting out a huff.

"I... just wanted to check on you to see if you were OK," Ellie explained.

The young woman took a seat next to him, then let out a slight smile. The Judge always had a soft spot for Ellie, she was a fast learner and a very kind soul. Ellie was trained and practically raised by the Judge, so it was almost natural for her to get so attached to him, despite being a man of very few words. He looked after her when parents died and in return, she was willing to die for him.

Make no mistake, she considered Joseph her savior as did everyone else in New Eden, but there was no better role model for her than the Judge. This being the case, she was unhappy at the position of leadership being taken by Ethan, though she tried her best to hide her dissatisfaction. Ethan has been a horrible leader lately in her opinion, he yells at his warriors, had their fallen just simply thrown into pits to be left to rot instead of having them cremated, and even decided to put the young into their fight. Ethan had her follow a group of Chosen to attack a mine to rescue Thomas Rush some time ago, which failed and led her to get shot and laid up for a few days.

"I just want you to know," Ellie started to confess. "That I owe my life to you and the Father." She paused to see the Judge's reactions, though there was very little of one, so she just continued. "Ethan believes he is our leader, but he lacks the kind heart that you and the Father possess. I can only hope that the prophecy can come true and soon, or we may all be in trouble."

This last bit made the Judge turn his head to look at the young woman, who in turn was surprised. After a minute or two of awkward silence, she turned to leave the Judge alone. "Goodnight, my Judge. I hope I wasn't a bother to you." Ellie then turned to leave and went back to her hut. The Judge nodded at her and went back to looking at the night sky which was littered with stars. He had a feeling that an important day was ahead of him and the rest of New Eden.

And that concludes another chapter of the New Dawn, tomorrow Marcus and the teens will be heading out to convince New Eden to aid them in fighting the Highwaymen.
