Bella:
"One shall not beat me." I proclaimed with a smile.
He smiled back at me. "Thy shall try." He said breathlessly.
We continued to fight with our swords. My long hair fell from the perfectly placed bun my mother insisted I wear. My long dress swayed around me as I danced around his advances. He spoke again when our swords locked.
"I shall marry you one day." He proclaimed.
I smiled and answered. "Is that so?" He nodded. "I shall not marry anyone who could not better me in a duel." I slowly backed away.
I turned to return home before my father would return from his hunt. My arm was grabbed gently.
"Isabella, you know it to be true. Why do you fight me so?" He asked.
I had no answer to give, for I longed to marry him when the time came. "I do not have an answer nor am I fighting you." I smiled. "I need to get home before my father returns. He does not like me dueling."
He holds his arm out for me. I place my hand on his elbow and we head our way back to the village. Before we make it to the end of the trail in the woods, he leans in and steals a small but sweet kiss with me.
I know I shouldn't but I do love when he kisses me. It is forbidden for any woman to kiss a man until her wedding day, so we steal small kisses when we can. I know he is the one for me. I may be only sixteen but I love him deeply. I am simply waiting for him to ask my father for my hand in marriage. Then I will be free from my father.
I walk into our family hut. "Mother. I am back."
Only it wasn't my mother who I came face to face with. It was my father. I braced myself for what I knew was coming.
The slap came fast and hard. "Where have you been?" He yelled.
Do not cry. It makes him madder. "I went for a walk in the woods and I had gotten lost."
"Do not lie to me girl" He yelled which caused my brothers to run in. "Do not meddle." He said to them, "I know you were not alone."
I felt my heart stop. If he knew I was not alone then he knew what we did before we left the trail.
"Nothing to say?" He asked me.
I continued to look at the ground. Saying nothing was easier. I knew he would strike me again either way.

I woke up with a start. 800 years and I still have that dream. That was the night that I almost killed my father. The night that the truth about me came out. The truth about why my father or should I say the man I thought was my father was so brutal to me and me alone. He never treated my brothers the way he treated me. I never understood how my mother allowed him to treat me the way he did. My brothers and the man I loved were the only ones who treated me as an equal.
"Jesus Emmett. Do you ever fucking knock? I yell to my brother. My brother who is about six five, and big, huge muscles. Brown hair and blue eyes. He's a scary fucker sometimes but I love him.
He laughed. "I knew you were awake."
Asshole.
"I could have been changing."
He shrugged. "Nah. I listened before I came in. Come on get up. Jasper has news."
I shower and dress in record time. Hair, makeup done. Down stairs I go.
"Brother." I greet Jasper with a hug.. I haven't seen him in years. "How have you been?"
Jasper, unlike Emmett and myself, has blonde hair with blue eyes. Stands at six two and lanky.
He returns my hug. "Sister. You look great. How have the humans been treating you?"
I wave my hand to dismiss his question but decide to answer anyway. "Oh you know, same old, same old. They think I'm so beautiful and wish they could treat me to a night out. As if. They would become dinner. Well okay some of them would make dinner. The others? Yuck." I say.
They both laugh at me. Assholes.
Have I said that I've put up with this for 800 years? Immortality does that to you.
Emmett pours himself a glass of whiskey and takes a seat, crossing his leg over the other. "So brother, what is this news you have?"
Jasper sighs and starts to pace. "Word has it that Aro ordered James to track a woman with the ability to predict the future."
I suck in a breath. No, no, no. We hid her. "How can he know about her? We hid her. Placed a cloaking spell on her."
The glass in Emmett's hand breaks. "Shit." He says.
"That's the least of our worries Em. Does she know?" I ask.
Jasper sighed again. "I do not know. I haven't been able to get a hold of her. You know as much as I do that she hates cell phones. Besides, she should know that I am looking for her."
Of course Jasper has been looking for her. He loves her, and she loves him, but she fights it. Why? I don't know.
"Well, do we know where she was last at? We can go from there." Emmett said.
Jasper and I nodded. "Good idea. Where was she?"
Two words was all that was spoken and it was the only words spoken that none of us wanted to hear. I did not wish to go back to that place but for her, I would.
Salem Massachusetts, here we come.
There you have it folks. How was it? Did you like it? Did you hate it? Let me hear your thoughts. Until next time.
