Hey everyone. Welcome back. I hope y'all are still with me.
Thank you all for the reviews, favs, & follows. They brighten my day.
I am sorry that it takes me a while to respond back. I have been busy lately with my kids, granddaughter, and the holidays and we have been mourning the loss of our beloved dog.
Now, let's see what is going through Edward's mind.

Edward:
Pain. That is all I felt. It lasted so long that I was in shock that it was only three hours. Rosalie was not kidding when she said it would hurt. It wasn't just the pain of her spell that hurt. It was also the pain in my heart that I felt each time she unlocked a memory. With the pain, I also felt happiness, anger, and hurt.
Happiness was the emotion I felt whenever a memory of Isabella was unlocked. I felt anger at Renee and my mother every time a memory was unlocked. I felt hurt with each memory because Renee and my mother took it upon themselves to remove my memories without my permission.
800 years of living without those memories. Of living with lies and deceit. I need to find out why those memories were taken from me.
It makes me wonder if Aro was involved with it. He always hated Isabella. No one ever knew the reason why he did. No one ever knew the amount of abuse she received from him. I tried time and again for her to run away with me but she wouldn't leave her brothers. They could have come with us. Hell, they were always like brothers to me.
I tried to keep my focus on Isabella during the process of bringing my memories back but it was really hard to focus. However, I knew the moment Isabella left the room, then the house, and lastly, the property. It's hard to explain how I knew, but I knew.
I pretty much laid there on the floor, catching my breath. I could hear everyone's concern for me in my head. It was like they were screaming at me.
"Seriously Ed. Are you okay?" Emmett said, kneeling next to me.
"Damn Rose. What did you do to him? I think you broke him." Jasper said on the other side of me.
Alice, bless her, said, "Guys. Give him a minute. That spell takes a toll on a person. Give him thirty seconds. He will respond."
I mentally thanked her. I was trying to sort out everything in my head. It was like once Rosalie cleared the barrier to the old spell, all these feelings came rushing in as the memories did. I reached up and rubbed my hand across my face. I knew the scar wasn't there anymore but seeing that the memory of how I got the scar came to the front of my mind, I needed to be sure. It seems that all those black spots in my memories where I always thought someone was there was Isabella all along.
All the celebrations we attended together. The harvests. The secret dueling in the forest that always ended with a kiss. I remember watching Isabella help our moms in the garden with not only the crops we ate but also with the crops used in spells. I remember how much Isabella loved to feed and bathe the livestock. The day I asked her parents for permission to marry Isabella. The day we went on a stroll with her brothers following because that is what was expected. Me dropping to my one knee and asking Isabella to marry me. The joy I felt when she said yes. I remember my mother wanting a portrait painted of us celebrating our proposal. It hung above the fireplace. I remember us planning our home, hoping to one day have not only children but grandchildren.
Then came the anger for our mothers to take all that away.
It was after the accident. My father forbidden me from seeing Isabella from that moment on. He said our wedding was no longer happening. My mother was a little more understanding. She tried to plead with my father but he wouldn't hear of it. I tried to sneak and see Isabella in our favorite spot but of course Aro and my father stopped that. Which is why I'm guessing the memory spell was cast. They made me think it was to help with my wounds. I of course never believed what Aro used to tell Isabella. How could one call the most beautiful woman in the village a beast?
I sat up and looked around. Looking for Isabella. Why did I do that? No idea considering I knew she was no longer around. Thankfully Alice had an answer for me.
Alice knelt down and said quietly, "I've seen her shift and run into the forest. She is feasting with Charlie, but go. I've already seen you two together." She finished with a smile.
I nodded my head. "Thank you."
I could see the vision clear as day. I leave the house at vamp speed. I didn't need to stop to look around because I could smell her. Her scent led me to exactly where she would be.
"Are they always like that?" I asked Alice.
She shook her head. "No. Sometimes they are jumbled while other times they are as clear as I am looking at you right now. That one is clear. Go to her." Alice said as she helped me off the floor.
I nodded my head at everyone before I flew out of the front door. I don't even know if I closed it behind me. Just like Alice's vision, I found Isabella and Charlie exactly where they were in the vision.
Charlie had his arms wrapped around Isabella as she leaned her head on his shoulder. She was crying which made me sad, but I was also happy because this is what a father/daughter relationship should look like. Not the one she had with Aro.
Charlie was speaking to Isabella. "He forgave you once before. I'm sure he will again. It was an accident. Neither of you believed what Aro said. I mean, how could you?"
"I hurt him so badly though." I heard her whisper to Charlie.
I decided to make my presence known. "Isabella, can we talk?"
They both looked at me. Isabella in shock. Charlie in happiness.
"Please?" I added.
Charlie looked to Isabella. "I think you should talk. It's the only way to figure things out. I'm always here for you sweetie. I love you." He placed a kiss on her forehead. He squeezed my shoulder as he walked by me. "Hurt her and I will hurt you. Got me?"
"DAD!"
I nodded. "Yes sir."
I waited for Charlie to walk out of hearing distance. His hearing was almost as good as mine. I also took his threat to heart. His bite is lethal to vampires. Yeah so not taking that chance.
"Isa."
"Bella please."
I nodded my head. "Of course. Bella. I think we need to talk about what happened and what I remember."
She sighed. I figured you would want to. I mean it is only right." She said as she played with a brush in her hand.
"Can you look at me? It would be easier when talking." I smiled.
"I can't."
"Why not?" I asked as I took a seat on the ground.
She laughed then shook her head. "It hurts too much to look at you after thinking for the last 800 years that you were dead."
I hated that I couldn't read her mind. "That's what you thought?"
Finally Bella looked at me. I could see the pain in her eyes. I could smell the salt in her tears as they ran down her face.
"That's what I was told when I woke up to this." She waved her hand around herself. "I was told you had died from the wounds I gave you."
I was too stunned to speak for a moment. I was trying to get my bearing on what she just said and what I now remember.
"My father didn't know what my mother and Renee had done. I woke up to this life and was told to go home. My mother was the first to notice the difference in me and it was her I attacked first." I took a breath as I felt the tears start to form in my eyes. "My father came at me once he found out what I became. I of course attacked him. Aro heard the screams first and told me to leave and to never come back. He told me that he would find me and explain everything to me." I told her.
"So I didn't do it?" Bella asked.
I shook my head. "No sweet girl. You did not. My wounds were almost healed. A scar was starting to form but as you can see, they disappeared all together." I smiled at her to hopefully show her that I wasn't mad.
"So we know Aro was right about me. I am a beast."
"No you aren't. You are no more a beast then I am." I smirked.
"Obviously, you haven't seen the other half of me." She gave a small smile.
I tapped my head. "Actually, I have."
"Where do we go from here?" She asked. "Clearly we aren't the same people we were back then."
I nodded. "That we aren't. We are more."
I was so lost in our little bubble that we had that I didn't sense nor hear another person around us. It was Bella's reaction that I noticed. Her pupils dilated and I watched her eyes change to an icy blue as her fangs slid down her perfectly pearly white teeth. I turned in the direction that she crouched in.
A tall figure followed by another stepped out from behind a tree.
"James. Victoria." I growled.
That was all Bella needed to hear before she lunged herself at the closest one. Surprisingly, James wasn't as fast as Bella. She managed to sink her fangs into his arm and ripped a chuck from it.
James roared in pain. "You fucking bitch."
Well thank fuck. James was a dead man walking now.

Well well well. What a twist. I hope y'all enjoyed walking around in Edward's head just now. I am not sure when the next time will be.
Let me hear your thoughts.
In case I don't update before Christmas or a different holiday, I hope each and everyone of you and your families have a wonderful holiday.
Until next timeā¦
