The New Game Yuri Crossover
Eagle Jump 4
The organizing for the Fairy Story Three celebration was going on in the background. Ko had had a game magazine interview on Friday, where Rin had made her dress up. Seeing the normally untidy Ko in nice clothes and styled hair was a shock to poor Aoba.
"Stop picking on me!" Ko complained to the narrator.
Aoba and Jun had both contributed art to the magazine too, Jun's being several monster designs while Aoba provided a 'cleaned up' version of the sketches for her Sophia character. She also got teased by the interviewer about her resemblance to her character. That in turn resulted in Ko explaining her part in the whole thing...
"You were so mean," Aoba pouted.
"YOU were the one who needed to google twintails, despite having them yourself," Jun teased, pointing at her hair.
"I know, I know," Aoba conceded.
Rin chuckled softly. "By the way, we're having visitors here on Saturday," she said, "so make sure you tidy up."
"Right!" Aoba and Yun chorused.
"And Ko, no sleeping overnight under your desk. I want you to go home for the weekend," Rin added firmly.
"Like I'd do that on the weekend!" Ko defended herself.
Rin just gave her a look.
"You're mean, Rin," Ko pouted.

Kobayashi, Tohru and Kanna lead the way out of the commuter train station, with Elma and Takiya walking just behind them. "You probably won't have problems taking the train to work," Takiya noted brightly.
"Hmph," Elma scowled.
"Don't be a grump," Tohru scolded her friend and sometimes rival dragon.
The purple haired, busty woman stuck her tongue out at Tohru, but Elma did smile back too. Her magic kept her slightly twisted, unicorn like horn invisible, much like Tohru's antlers and Kanna's side-horns. All three dragons found magic very convenient!
"Will we see your work area too?" Tohru asked. She remembered seeing Kobayashi's old job, and wanted to be sure this was nicer.
"Yes, and you'll meet my immediate boss too," Kobayashi told them.
"Yaaa," Kanna deadpanned.
The group hit the main doors, where they used the intercom to call up to Eagle Jump's floor. "Come on up," Umiko said warmly.
"Mrow," the big, chunky cat noted as they entered the floor.
"Kitty!" Kanna exclaimed and rushed over to pet it.
Umiko looked amused, the tall woman leaning in the doorway. "Welcome to Eagle Jump," she said as they introduced everyone.
"I've heard a lot about your company, I'm looking forward to this," Takiya added.
They toured the various sections, showing the different work spaces and equipment they used. Kobayashi looked smug as her co-workers looking impressed. Takiya was especially surprised by hoe current the computers all were, while Elma seemed shocked by how cozy and comfortable it all was.
"This is much better than your old job," Tohru said seriously as they looked over the programming area.
"What is up with the guns?" Takiya had to ask, pointing at the weapons set up all around Umiko's work area.
"Don't worry. They are all replicas," Umiko replied calmly.
"I'm not sure that helps," Takiya replied wryly.
Elma had completely missed the point as she exclaimed, "You can even decorate your work area however you want!"
"Yeah, we even got in trouble if we put up Dilbert comics on our work stations," Kobayashi noted to Takiya.
"That bad?" Umiko asked, surprised.
"The previous manager thought we were mocking him," Takiya remembered. He smiled wryly, "We WERE, mind you, but..."
Umiko snickered at that.
Elma noted that only Umiko's station looked occupied. "Is it just you and Kobayashi...?" she had to ask.
"No, no," Umijo quickly said, "we're transitioning from hiring temps to keeping full time staff on. I'm hoping to fill the other positions soon."
Elma and Takiya exchanged a look, as well as taking a moment to consider how nice Eagle Jump seemed to them.
"Where would we apply?" Takiya asked charmingly.
As Umiko looked surprised, Kobayashi burst into quiet laughter. "Our boss is gonna kill me," she sniggered softly.
Tohru looked alarmed, "What?"
"Not actually," Kobayashi reassured her, grinning.
"We HAVE had other people apply," Umiko cautioned, "but yes, you can too. Let me go get the paper work..."
Kanna, still carrying the cat, was seen by an attractive silver haired woman. She instantly took out her phone and took a picture "SO CUTE."
"Hey!" Tohru scowled at her.
"Sorry, sorry," she smiled. Shizuku Hazuki continued, "I'm Shizuku, I'm one of the directors here. I just finished Fairy Story three."
"Ma'am, it's an honor," Takiya said cheerfully.
"Thank you," Shizuku said.
Introductions were made, and Umiko returned with the applications. "We're going to poach them too," she deadpanned to Shizuku.
Shizuku blinked a few times. "You realize Jigokumeguri is going to have a cow?" she asked, referring to the company the three programmers worked for.
"So?" Umiko shrugged. "It's not like we ever work with them on projects," she pointed out.
"It's still kind of tacky," Shizuku replied.
"You're just annoyed because you will run into their boss eventually and get scolded for this," Umiko teased.
Shizuku conceded, "Well, pretty much."

"Aooooba!" Nene whined.
Aoba was sitting beside her best friend at the park. Both women looked young for their age, and tended to be mistaken for junior students. As a high school graduate and now a member of the workforce, Aoba found that especially vexing.
"Don't tell me you're jealous that Umiko is taking Miss Kobayashi's friends on a tour of Eagle Jump," Aoba observed.
"But what if one of those guests are a woman! With a big rack!" Nene complained.
Back at Eagle Jump the moderately busty Elma sneezed.
"Meh," Elma made a face and rubbed her nose.
Unaware of the Japanese folktale that you sneeze when someone talks about you, Elma just went back to her paperwork.
"Umiko isn't one to be swayed by a pretty face," Aoba reassured her.
Nene nodded reluctantly. "I guess so."
Aoba changed the subject, "Did you get your invitation to the Fairy Story 3 debut party?"
"I did!" Nene looked excited, "I'm looking forward to it."
Teasingly Aoba asked, "Have you figured out what to wear?"
Nene paled slightly as she admitted, "I hadn't really thought about it."
A bit smugly Aoba added, "I can probably just wear my work suit."

The New Game Yuri Crossover
Interlude.
Two days after the Eagle Jump visit...
"You can't ALL QUIT?!" Mr Magatsuchi yelped.
Elma and Takiya just looked amused.
"Oh god this department is FUCKED..." Magatsuchi whimpered.
As Elma, Takiya and Kobayashi went back to their desks Kobayashi noted, "I think he took it fairly well."
"You are EVIL," Takiya said.
Over at the Kobayashi residence...
Lucoa looked a little alarmed as the busty blonde asked her, "You're not going to have to move, are you?"
"Oh, no, it's fine," Tohru reassured her. "Eagle Jump isn't any farther than her old job."
"Oh, that's good," Lucoa relaxed. She paused, "I think Fafnir heard about it too..."
A loud hammering at the door interrupted them.
Tohru sighed, "That's him, I can tell."
Fafnir looked like a certain fictional butler, but the black haired Dragon was scowling. "Why did your Kobayashi convince Takiya to quit?!"
Okay, that wasn't what she had expected him to say...
"Calm down, come on in," Tohru lead him over to the table where Lucoa was sitting. "Tea?" she offered.
"No," Fafnir growled, "explain."
"Takiya didn't just quit," Tohru reassured him, "he has another job lined up. A better one!"
Fafnir blinked as he processed that.
(Tohru really should have realized Fafnir would be concerned. He was an old fashioned 'dragon on his treasure' type, of COURSE he'd be worried about his companion's finances. And knowing him, he just seized on 'I quit' and freaked out.)
Which he confirmed as Fafnir admitted, "He told me about putting in his notice today before leaving... I suppose I blanked the rest out."
"There there," Lucoa patted his hand.
"Hey!" Tohru brightened, "Takiya could register you as his partner! They have those benefits at Eagle Jump."
"What?" Fafnir blinked.
Later that day at Oborozuka Elementary School nearby...
"KANNA-CHAN, don't leave me!" Riko Saikawa cried, grabbing at Kanna's hands.
Kanna Kobayashi blinked, "We're not moving."
"Oh. That's good then!" she beamed. Riko looked confused as she explained, "I had heard that your mother quit her job..."
"She has a better one," Kanna reassured her. She described their visit to Eagle Jump, mostly focusing on the cat.
Rika pouted, "I want to go there too."
"Maybe," Kanna shrugged.
Over in the grade five area, Shouta Magatsuchi was wondering at his father's ominous statement "I'm going to be living at work awhile."
'What does that MEAN, exactly?' the boy wondered.
"SHOUTA-SAN! You forgot your lunch!" Lucoa called as she bounced down the hall to his classroom.
"So lucky...," several boys muttered as Shouta blushed furiously.
Even the teacher was trying not to look at the skimpy dressed woman. "Miss Lucoa, you're disturbing the students," she sighed.
"I'm so sorry," Lucoa smiled sweetly.
The mousy women sighed, "Damn that kid is lucky..."
"Eh?" Lucoa blinked.
"Never mind..." the teacher waved it off.
"Thank you, but I could have just bought lunch," Shouta sighed as he took the boxed lunch.
"Have a good day," Lucoa waved cheerfully then trotted off.

Notes: I know, short update. Just not really feeling it today.
Fafnir and Takiya are NOT canon yaoi (as far as I know) but it does amuse me to imagine them applying for couple benefits.

Eagle Jump 5
Ko was getting a much needed cup of coffee when she ran into Shizuku. They caught up on gossip, including discussing the recent hires. "You ended up hiring all three of them?" Ko asked her, a little surprised.
"They're all highly qualified," Shizuku pointed out, "AND they work together well. It'll make it easier integrating them to the teams."
"Well, I look forward to Umiko introducing them, I guess...," Ko mused as she took her coffee and headed back to her desk.
Later that day everyone was ushered into a larger conference room. Umniko looked very uncomfortable as she said, "We have three new employees in the programming department." She turned to them, "Introduce yourselves."
"My name is Kobayashi," the slim, glasses wearing woman bowed, "I just use my last name. I look forward to working with you."
"Makoto Takiya," the man bowed, "I hope you'll take care of me."
"Elma Joui, I look forward to eating with you," Elma said then paused, "I mean working with you! Sorry."
"Heh," Ko chuckled at that.
Kpbayashi noted, "She's a BIG eater, by the way. If you go out with her, make her pay for her own share."
"Hey!" Elma yelped.
Everyone chuckled, but Ko decided that Kobayashi was being dead serious about that. Huh, that's interesting.
Umiko lead her three minions off, and everyone else went back to work.
"What do you think about the guy?" Rin asked Ko later.
Ko gave her a odd look, "Nothing in particular. We'll see how he works out."
Rin frowned.
(Ko, it should be noted, was bad with romance in general. She was basically unaware of Rin's feelings for her, despite Rin getting fairly blatant. Ko ALSO didn't get that Rin was worried she'd run off with a random guy...)
"Do you think Umico will take her new team out for dinner, like we did with Aoba?" Ko wondered, amused.
"If Kobayashi is right about Elma's appetite, she'd better bring extra money along," Rin noted, visibly amused.
"Plus Shizuku might show up and steal food, again," Ko chuckled.

"Ah, bliss," Kobayashi sighed as she sat at her BRAND SPANKING NEW workstation in the programming department.
Well, it wasn't actually NEW new. But it was a huge leap up from the old machine she had had at her old job. Quality monitor, keyboard, and enough RAM to run a space shuttle.
"My god, it's less than a year old," Takiya noted, awed as he looked over his machine.
"This is THAT unusual?" Elma had to ask.
"You have no idea," Kobayashi said wryly.
"All right, everyone, this is going to be boring but necessary," Umico noted as she passed out binders to each person.
"Eh?" Elma flipped through it.
"Style guides?" Takiya guessed.
"That's correct. I'll give you all a few days to study them and then we'll do some exercises," Umico agreed.
"I still don't...," Elma started.
"Each company has different ways to do things. This binder lays out how Eagle Jump does it," Kobayashi explained to her. She added to Umico, "She only just started in the industry."
"Ah," Umico nodded. "Well, we're not currently working on anything now that Fairy Story wrapped. So take your time."
"Will do," Takiya waved.
"Huh. I didn't know companies did that," Elma admitted. Well, she was a dragon, after all... human stuff was still new to her.
"We'll quiz each other once we read it," Kobayashi noted. Well, they'd skim it... she and Takiya were both very experienced programmers. They could absorb the gist very quickly.
"And look on the bright side," Umico added, "you're getting paid for several days of reading and studying."
"Oh!" Elma brightened at that.
"You also get a lunch break," Umico added, "some people bring in food, but most of the time they go out. There's some good restaurants nearby."
"Thanks, boss," Takiya nodded.
"Oooh, lunch..." Elma purred.
"You're buying your own," Kobayahi added.
"Mean," Elma pouted.

Tohru was just finishing the wash as she heard a key in the lock.
"I'm home," Kobayashi called as she came in.
"You're home early," Tohru noted, sounding mildly surprised.
Kobayashi took off her coat and hung it up, stretching. "This will hopefully be the usual thing," she noted, "barring emergency crunch times."
"Welcome home!" Tohru glomped her as she hurried over from the kitchen.
"Ooof!" Kobayashi grunted.
Tohru released her as she added, "I only just started dinner, though."
"That's fine," Kobayashi waved it off. "I have to do some studying too," she admitted, taking the binder out of her briefcase.
"You know, Kanna is off at her friends...," Tohru hinted, leaning forward a little so her maid uniform showed off her cleavage.
"Hmm," Kobayashi had already opened the book and was studying.
"Humph," Tohru pouted and went back to finish cooking.

"I'm home!" Takiya called.
"Welcome back," Fafnir answered him, the very butler-like man playing one of Takiya's many game consoles.
"Oooh, that's a good one! Let me hang up my coat and join you," Takiya said.
"How was work?" Fafnir asked politely, sounding mildly housewife-like.
Takiya was WELL aware Fafnir didn't care, but was touched he was trying.
"Why are you smiling like that?" Fafnir asked, frowning.
"It's nothing," Takiya smiled as he picked up a controller.
Fafnir frowned art him a moment, but then went back to the game.

Elma had hit another buffet resturant, and went back for multiple refills. Eventually, the staff booted her out.
"Ah, that was good," Elma said cheerfully.
"They weren't kidding when they said you had an appetite," an unfamiliar voice noted.
"Hajime! That's so rude!"
Elma turned, seeing two of her fellow Eagle Jump employees. "You're animators, correct?" she asked, trying to remember.
"Yun is a designer, but basically correct," the sportly looking one added, "I'm Hajime."
Elma bowed a bit, "Hello, senpais."
"Oooh, I forgot we're your seniors," Yun noted teasingly.
"Please don't call be senpai, it wierds me out," Hajime admitted.
Elma chuckled softly.
"Do you want to join us for a drink?" Hajime suggested.
Elma brightened, "I'd like that."
"Everybody pays for their own drinks," Yun quickly added.
"Aww," Elma pouted.

Notes: I like writing Fafnir and Takiya like a old, married couple. I dunno why but it just amuses me.
Disclaimer: This is NOT canon to the other chapters, just me being silly.
New Game Omake!
"What do you MEAMN the manga's ending?" Rin yelped.
"Yup. The New Game manga will have it's final chapter this October in Kiara magazine." Ko noted.
"But why, tho?" Hajime asked.
"Author could be out of ideas. Or just tired... it has been 13 volumes," Rin admitted.
"I wonder if the mangaka made you two canon?" Aoba wondered aloud.
"Eeeh?!" Ko yelped.
"No. Darn it," Rin growled.
Yun noted archly, "Well, now that the author's no longer watching, you can do whatever you want."
There was a LONG beat of silence, then Rin grabbed Ko's hand. "We're taking the rest of the day off," she declared.
"Hey! What...," Ko yelped.
"You are taking me to bed, damn it. 13 volumes of manga is a LONG time to wait!" Rin ordered.
Ko followed meekly, "Yes dear..."
"Well, THAT'S a thing," Hajime noted.
Aoba shook her head, then blinked as she felt a tap on her shoulder. "Hifumi?" she smiled at the pretty, taller designer.
Hifumi was normally deathly shy, but she continued, "With the manga ending and all... I was wondering if you would like to go out with me?"
"On a DATE?" Aoba asked excitedly.
"Yes," Hifumi managed.
"I'd love to," Aoba beamed.
"What is this, pair up the spares?" Yun asked, shaking her head.
"Well, since we're already dating, we're safe," Hajime teased.
"That's just shanejayell's headcanon," Yun added.

Notes: Yup, it was announced the New Game manga is ending. I'm vaguely annoyed that all the yuri tease (Ko & Rin, Aoba and Hifumi) is apparently not going to come to anything. Barring a surprise in the last chapter anyway...
The New Game Yuri Crossover!
Chapter 9
While Lucoa felt obligated to stay around her summoner, Shouta, while he was at school or in the evenings, she also liked to go out. As a dragon-kin she had few concerns for her safety, and liked mingling with humans in various places.
"Well, hello again," a familiar voice said.
Lucoa turned on her bar stool to see an attractive, silver aged woman smiling at her. "Shizuku?" she asked.
"Shizuku Hazuki," the woman's suit clad woman smiled as she sat beside her, "and I remember you, Lucoa."
"It's nice to see you again," Lucoa smiled, her breasts bouncing a bit in her very skimpy top and short skirt.
Shizuku's eyes kind of followed them, then she shook herself. She looked amused as she said to her, "I seem to remember you drinking me under the table, last time..."
Lucoa looked amused, "Yes, well."
"Let's try that again?" Shizuku suggested.
"Let's," Lucoa agreed. She dropped her voice a bit and purred, "I should warn you: when I get drunk, I get pretty wild."
Shizuku gulped.

The next day dawned bright and sunny. Rin met Aoba on the way inside, then they unlocked everything and did morning preperations.
"Morning!" Kobayashi waved as she checked in.
"You're bright and early," Rin noted.
"New employee, I want to make a good impression," Kobayashi shrugged. Dressed in slacks, a button up shirt and tie, she looked 'business ready' but not too formal.
Takiya and Elma arrived shortly after them, then the rest of the art and motion teams trickled in and headed to their desks.
"Morning," Ko waved, the other woman not sleeping over as she usually did.
"Morning," Rin smiled at her warmly.
Umico was amused to see her programers all at their desks before she arrived. "Morning all," she greeted them.
"Morning," all three chorused.
"Have you finished reviewing the style guides?" Umico asked them curiously.
Elma, Kobiyashi and Takiya all nodded. "No problem," Takiya added.
Umico nodded, "Good, good. Let's do some sample projects, then, and see how that goes."
"I do wish we had actual projects to work on," Kobayashi mused.
"Well, hopefully we'll be starting a new game soon," Umico noted.
A few hours later Rin frowned.
"What's wrong?" Ko asked.
"Did you see Shizuku come in? Rin wondered.
"Huh," Ko looked thoughtful. "No, I haven't seen her."
"That's odd," Rin frowned, "she was supposed to be in today."
"Call her mobile?" Ko suggested.
Rin nodded, "I guess it's worth a try." She looked up Shizuku in her phone's contacts, then called her.
"Anything?" Ko asked.
"Ringing," Rin answered, then they heard the main doors open.
"I'm so late!" a very rumpled looking Shizuku hurried by.
"Never mind," Rin hung up.
Ko dropped her voice "Aren't those yesterday's clothes?"
"Looks like it. Wonder what happened?" Rin mused.
"Sorry," Shizuku stuck her head out of her office, "Rin, Ko, we were going to discuss Eagle Jump's next project?"
"Right," Ko grabbed a notebook and her and Rin went into the other woman's office.
"Again, sorry," Shizuku said. "Coffee? Juice? I need a refill of coffee..."
As they talked, Ko noticed a huge hicky that Shizuku was trying to hide with her shirt collar. "Did you get bitten?" she blurted.
"Eeep," Shizuku blushed.
"Ko!" Rin scolded.
"Okay, that was a little blunt. Sorry," Ko apologized.
Shizuku sighed as she muttered, "Yeah, I suppose it's foolish trying to hide it."
"Someone we know?" Rin wondered.
"Remember that sexy blond I met at the party we held for finishing Fairy Story? I ran into her again," Shizuku admitted.
"Looks like you had fun," Ko noted. "Going to see her again?"
Shizuku smiled faintly, "We'll see."
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0
Aoba looked up curiously as the enterance buzzer went off. "I'll go see who it is," she said as she went off.
The man at the door had a serious expression, and was dressed in a formal suit. Honestly, he looked like a butler from a manga.
"Hello?" Aoba asked.
"This is Eagle Jump?" the man asked stiffly.
"Yes," Aoba answered.
The man held up a boxed lunch as he calmly explained, "Could you please give this to Takiya? He forgot it."
"Oh, certainly," Aoba smiled.
"Thank you," the man said formally then strode off.
Aoba shook her head, wondering who that was as she walked to the programing department. "Knock knock," she called before coming in.
"Hello, Aoba," Umico smiled.
Aoba looked around for the one guy, "Mr Takiya?"
"Yes?" Takiya answered.
Aoba held up the lunch box, "You boyfriend delivered your lunch."
"Fafnir?" Takiya took it, "Thank you for bringing it over."
"Boyfriend?" Umico looked amused.
"And Fafnir's my roommate, not my boyfriend," Takiya corrected them all as he set his lunch aside for later.
"Awww," Aoba pouted. "I bet you look cute together."
After Aoba left Elma quietly murmured to Kobayashi, "I have a hard time imagining Fafnir dating anyone, honestly."
"Ditto," Kobayashi agreed.
Before that conversation could continue, there was an announcement of a company wide meeting. "I expected this," Umico got up, "follow me."
They ended up in a larger meeting room, with Shizuku, Rin and Ko facing them. "As you know, Eagle Jump is looking for a concept for a new game," Shizuku said.
"We will be accepting designs and concepts from staff, the best of which may be chosen for the next game," Rin continued.
Takiya raised his hand, "Programmers can try too?"
"Yup," Ko agreed.
"That would be all. Thank you for your time," Shizuku finished.
"Are you going to enter, then?" Kobayashi asked her friend as they walked back to the programmers area.
"Well, I certainly play enough games," Takiya reminded her.
"Point," Kobayashi agreed.
To be continued...
Notes: Following up on the Lucoa/Shizuku bit from earlier chapters. The whole 'contest to make a game idea' is actually canon in New Game.
