In an ancient tomb a sarcophagus slowly opened.
"How is my slumber disturbed?" asked a young boy looking like a Pharaoh who rose sitting up wearing a mask.
"My pharaoh, the time has come to pay your debt to the shadows." a knelling figure told him.
The Pharaoh exit before readying a scepter pointing, "Very well, ready my yacht."
The figure nodded at that.
Meanwhile at the Academy...
Kevin sighed in the hallway with Camula.
"Kevin?" she asked. "What's wrong?"
"It's just Jaden... some way or another he gets detention." Kevin said to her.
"What did he do this time?" Camula asked him.
"Disrupting class." was her answer.
Camula just shook her head. "Well, he keeps things interesting at least."
"Indeed."
Jaden, Syrus, and Chazz exit class at that as they looked over noticing them.
"Hey guys." Syrus smiled.
"Jaden that's the FIFTH freaken time you got Detention this week. Why does trouble always find you?" Kevin asked his brother.
"I don't know... maybe it's an ancient curse placed on me in a past life or something." Jaden suggested.
"That or maybe you don't care about schoolwork." Kevin said to him.
Jaden frowned. "I'm doing it... mostly."
"Well let's take a walk together." Camula suggested to them, "It's about night anyway so we should get back."
"Sounds good to me." Jaden nodded.
They all walked together back to the dorms before Kevin then asked, "So Jaden, Alexis, and Banner are the only ones with Spirit keys right now?"
"That's right." Jaden nodded showing his key. "Around our necks like you suggested."
"Well there are still the tougher Shadow Riders. Amnael, and Abidos." Kevin said to them, "Abidos is never defeated so he'll be really difficult to get pass."
"There's a first time for everything." Chazz smirked. "Just leave it to me."
"Except you lost your Spirit Key." Syrus reminded.
"So? Kevin didn't have one when he beat Camula... and you beat Tania without having one." Chazz pointed out. "Plus Basion's sister beat that wimp Don Zaloog before she left."
They all chuckled before Camula senses something from the ground, and feels something about to grab Kevin's foot.

Widening her eyes she pulled him away from it only to frown. "We're all in grave danger."
"AH!" Kevin cried out before something grabbed him, "Cami? What's wrong?"
Hearing something they looked ahead seeing Mummies sprout up from the ground.
"Abidos is here." she answered looking around.
"Indeed I am."
A voice declared before a golden yacht appeared at the sky before a blinding light appeared.
Kevin groaned waking up, "Ah man... what happened?"
"So glad you can finally wake up."
They all looked over seeing the Pharaoh young man was sitting a throne in front of a large field with his head in one of his hands prepped on one of the arm rests of his throne.
"That's Abidos? He's just a kid." Chazz pointed out. "No way he's that good."
"Just because he's younger doesn't mean he's not good." Kevin pointed out, "In fact looks can be deceiving."
"I would better listen to the host of my comrade if I were you." Abidos said standing up from his throne, and walked forward.
"Does anybody have any ideas?" Syrus asked nervously.
Seeing Camula, Abidos narrowed his eyes, "I see you still survive despite Illusion Gate, Camula."
"I didn't use that card, and technically speaking I was never defeated either. I chose to leave the Shadow Riders." Camula explained.
"Well no matter." Abidos looked over them, "So who wants to go first?"
"Why don't you pick your highness?" Jaden suggested with a grin.
"Fair enough." Abidos looks over them all thinking over before selecting, "How bout you?" He points to Jasmine at this who was there with Mindy, Alexis, Zane, and Banner who were also taken with the others.
"Huh... well ok but I don't have a key." she mentioned.
"Several of my comrades were beaten by some people not having one." Abidos explained to her walking to his spot.
Jasmine nodded only she looked slightly nervous taking her own position. "Ladies first?"
"Please." Abidos nodded as they ready.

"What trickery is this?" Abidos asked to himself.
"Oh, it's my monster's special ability." Jasmine explained. "A Legendary Ocean counts as Umi while it's on the field and as long as I have Umi in play my Amphibious Bugroth MK-3 is allowed to attack directly."
"That shouldn't really catch him off-guard... right?" Jaden asked them.
"No, he should have been able to counter that attack easily." Camula admitted.
"Maybe he's undefeated because he lets his opponent deal damage before countering whatever they try and do?" Syrus suggested. "You only need one life point to win a duel after all. Yugi even won matches with zero life points left."
"What's next?" Abidos asked Jasmine.
Shuddering slightly she looked at her hand. "I set a monster and end my turn."
"When your turn ends, I activate The First Sarcophagus." Abidos said as a trap popped up where a coffin rose up.

At that two mummies holding a spear, and one more popped up.

Great Dezard charged a second orb firing it at Jasmine's face-down. The monster appeared before shattering.

"You don't have a monster so it's worthless!" Abidos called only for barriers to block all the damage, "What?"
"Tornado Wall blocks all damage as long as Umi is on the field remember?" Jasmine asked him. "I still have A Legendary Ocean in play."
"So... you tricked me is that it?" Abidos asked sounding angry.
"No, I told you what my trap did." Jasmine mentioned.
"But I am Abidos the greatest ever!"
"You know... being honest, Pharaoh I'm not really seeing that." Jaden admitted to him, "I mean, I was hoping for a lot of wicked monsters, and some tactics that are... I don't know impressive but... I am feeling a bit bummed out."
"Yeah." Syrus agreed nodding, "His cards are not as strong as a Starter Deck."
Really if Abidos was a Dueling Legend why is he dueling like a novice? This really raises more questions to them wondering if all they heard from Abidos isn't really as what they think. Kevin then asked Camula, "Cami had you ever seen him duel before?"
"Well... no, I haven't." Camula admitted. "Not once."
"Abidos who exactly do you duel?" Jasmine asked him.
"My servants most of the time." Abidos answered that.
"Well they might not be great training partners cause their not really helping you get strong. It's like they just hand the win over." Jaden admitted to Abidos.
Hearing that made Abidos freeze as he finally realized something that shocked him. Whenever he duels his servants, and wins he feels a sense of accomplishment but felt something was wrong but since he wins he decides not to worry about it. But now from dueling the girl before him today someone he's not familiar with, he sees he's far behind, and wonder's why but from what Jaden said made that answer clear.
Flashback...
Abidos without his mask was dueling against a servant.

"And now attack Hercules Beetle!" Abidos declared as a beetle charged in striking the servant from a Stone Tablet.

At another match he called, "Embodiment of Anubis finish this!"
Servant: 0000
"Sinister Serpent attack!"
Servant: 0000
With the victories the servants started chanting his name which made him grin. But he notices them talking to themselves but doesn't worry but in this memory he hears them clearly.
"You know, I'm starting to get pretty tired of losing to this little brat."
"Well, if you win against him he'll feed us to the lions."
Flashback Ends...
"Wait... could it be that my servants..." as he started he looks at his hands that are shaking, "Let me win?"
"Wow, what a giant loser this guy is!" Chazz complained upon realizing that Abidos' legends were a big fat lie.
"It's possible, but that would mean this is your first real duel?" Syrus asked.
"Guess so." Abidos admitted to Syrus pretty dishearten that his great dueling record was nothing but a joke.
"You aren't a loser." Jaden mentioned getting his attention. "So what if your servants always let you win, that just means you can become a great duelist starting now."
"What?" was the voice of the surprised duelist.
"Yeah, everybody has to start somewhere and if you do lose just pick yourself up and keep trying. Right Kevin?" Jaden asked with a grin.
Kevin nodded, "Yeah. When I lost to Kaiba, a great duelist, he just told me to stand back up, and try again. That's just what it means to be a Duelist. Both winning, and losing play important roles, and if you don't have 1 of them, that means your empty. Your servants may have handed the win but you still have a way to go."
Abidos stared before standing up, "Your right... This can't be the end of the road for me."
Jasmine swallowed nervously at that before Jaden said, "Alright but first off, why not you take off that mask?"
With that suggestion Abidos reached removing his mask showing himself as a tanned handsome young man with a smile while Jaden grinned himself, "Yeah that's it. Let everyone know who's really dueling."
"Jasmine, promise me that you'll give me an honest match." Abidos said to the girl before him.
"I'll do my best." she mentioned.
"And I'll also follow Camula's example here. Initially when I joined the Shadow Riders, I wanted to fight strong opponents which did happen... But now I don't need them anymore, when I can just be great by you all." Abidos said to her.
Camula smiled hearing that.
"Then show us what you can do!" Jaden grinned.
"Right I use Great Dezard's second effect!" Abidos declared as Great Dezard has a dark aura around him closing his eyes.
Jasmine's eyes widened seeing that.
"What now?" Chazz questioned.
"And now rise up Fushioh Richie!"
At that what appeared was a skeletal monster holding a long staff with a red cloak over his shoulder.

Before it can attack the second he called, "I activate Entombing Casket Sarcophagus' effect in my graveyard!"
"Huh?" Jasmine asked hearing that.
"When you destroy a Zombie while it's in my graveyard, I can banish it to take control of your monster, and make it a Zombie!" Abidos called as a tomb appeared from the ground before Mermaid Knight not seeing it was trapped in it as it floated to Abidos' field, "However it's Attack, and Defense Points become 0."
Mermaid Knight: (ATK: 1700 - 1700 = 0/DEF: 900 - 900 = 0)
Jasmine's eyes widened as her monster was stolen. "I... end my turn."
