It had been several hours since the match with Abidos. And now their dealing with a... unique issue.
"He's not back in the afterlife?" Banner asked Kevin surprised hearing Abidos is not back in the land of the dead.
Kevin nodded explaining, "For some reason no."
"This is very unusual, it was his Shadow Charm that was keeping his soul in our world correct?" Banner inquired.
"Yeah." Kevin nodded before saying, "But something strange happened. It glowed, and he passed out not back to the afterlife with his yacht, and servants went back. We're waiting for him to wait up."
"I see, well thank you for telling me Kevin." Banner mentioned thoughtfully.
Kevin nodded back as he walked to the Infirmary where they see Abidos unconscious on a bed while several people watch in with his Shadow Charm missing. Jasmine is also with them.
"What did Banner say?" Zane asked noticing him walking in.
"He doesn't have a clue why." Kevin answered.
"So only he knew?" Atticus asked looking over Abidos, "So... what should we do with him when he wakes up?"
"Well, he can't head back home... it's probably in ruins right now." Jaden said to them rubbing his head.
"And he can't head back to the Land of the Dead if he's still here." Syrus added pointing that factor out.
Jasmine then came up with a suggestion, "He could... stay with us here on Academy Island." They looked at her which she blushed looking down, "I mean... This might be his chance to be a strong duelist, so maybe being here would mean he can be the powerful duelists his legends stated he was."
"No way." Chazz frowned. "You saw how he was dueling, he's nowhere near even Slifer level."
"That doesn't mean he can't grow Chazz." Kevin frowned disapprovingly at Chazz crossing his arms, "Everyone has to start somewhere don't they?"
"He has a point." Atticus agreed, "And to be fair he's not the first Shadow Rider to enroll."
"I'll talk with Chancellor Sheppard about this but who here agrees for him to be a new student?" Zane asked raising his hand to show agreement.
Everyone raised their hands except for Chazz who frowned.
"Meeting adjourned." Jaden smiled standing up at this, "Well it's late, time to hit the hay."
"Sounds like a plan to me." Syrus nodded.
"You guys go on ahead. I'll stay here." Jasmine said to them.
"You sure Jazz?" Mindy asked her hearing that, "It might not be safe. Who knows what he can do when he wakes up."
"I'm... I'm sure." Jasmine said to her looking down to Abidos.
Kevin at this nods before saying, "Well alright but me, and Cami will also be here. Your gonna need some people who experienced the Shadow Riders here in case he does anything beyond his control."
"I think I'll be ok." she told him.
"We'll stay outside in case." Kevin said to her, "We're Vampires so we will know when to appear."
He headed off at this walking outside. "Okay..." He takes a breath closing his eyes before transforming into a bat flying off which he said in his head, "Huh... I did it."
He flew off to Camula's castle arriving in her bedroom which she looked over in her dress before he transformed back into his human form.
"Kevin?" she asked seeing that. "I wasn't aware you were practicing that."
"Well... Vampires can do that, so I figured to try." Kevin admitted before saying, "Well anyway, about Abidos we don't know why he's still here but we all agreed for him to be a new student since we think this could be his chance to grow. Jasmine is staying with him but I think me, and you would be with her in case he does anything out of control."
She nodded in understanding hearing that before pausing. "Kevin, I wanted to ask you something. There's a celebration coming up?"
"Oh yeah, Duel Monster's Spirit Day." Kevin remembered with a smile, "It's a festival held annually where many people dress up as Duel Spirits to appreciate them."
"Dress up as Duel Spirits?" Camula asked with a chuckle. "A shame we won't be able to participate."
"I wouldn't count on that. I mean it'll be pretty cloudy the day it happens." Kevin mentioned.
"Oh?" Camula asked. "Then perhaps... this could be my costume?"
She handed Kevin a card named Vampire Vamp. Seeing the card he blushed before he said to her, "That looks hot on ya."
"Why thank you." Camula smiled kissing him gently.
He smiled back to her before asking, "So... ready to head over?"
"I am." she nodded.
With that they exit transforming to bats flying over. When they arrived they turn back to their human forms walking in to the infirmary. While walking Camula senses something.
"Kevin, there's someone here." she told him.
"There is? Who?" Kevin asked stopping in front of the door.
Camula frowned. "A Shadow Rider, but I can't be sure which one it is."
Kevin burst in hearing that as they see shadow magic around with Jasmine unconscious on the floor with someone standing over Abidos with his back turned to them. Hearing the door opened he turned showing it's a big man wearing a fedora while having a black mask with a eye on it with a duel disk like machine integrated into his torso, and arm.
"You, Titan correct?" Camula recalled.
"Camula..." the man called Titan narrowed his eyes seeing her, "I heard news of your betrayal but you, and Abidos together turning your backs on us..."
"Titan... wait, I've heard of you." Kevin mentioned. "My brother beat you before, you're a Shadow Rider?"
"Your brother?" Titan asked confused before realizing, "Oh wait, you mean Jaden Yuki haven't you?"
"So you did." Kevin glared, "Well I didn't think we'd meet up but I'll take you on for him."
"Too bad. You want to be against my brother, Lex, and Banner get passed me." Kevin glared at him, "And you also kidnapped one of my best friends, and dueled Jaden in a match that nearly got him expelled afterward so yeah there are several reasons. Plus..." He snapped his fingers as shadows build around him, and Titan.
"I was formally Malek, I still have his abilities on the Shadow Games. I'm also a Vampire so that power increases. Now let's duel." Kevin said before they vanished in Shadows leaving Camula to see Jasmine, and Abidos are fine before a shadow hologram appeared showing Titan, and Kevin against each other.
Meanwhile in the Shadow Void...
They both appeared in it by themselves. Titan looked around in shock before frowning. "Fine, I'll send you to the Shadow Realm first."
"Hope your skills are better." Kevin readied against him.

"Now don't ever show your face again." Kevin glared making Titan vanish in shadows leaving his mask behind which he picked up before heading back sighing.
"Kevin, you've only been gone for two minutes." Camula told him.
"Well Titan's already handled." Kevin turned to her at that.
"I had a feeling." Camula chuckled only to pause. "If only that could be comforting."
"There's one more right?" he asked her.
"Yeah, Amnael." Camula nodded.
"Well now we can continue relaxing for a bit before him. There's Duel Monster's Spirit Day to consider." Kevin smiled once he checked Jasmine was fine.
Jasmine softly rose up placing a hand on her head, "Uh... what happened?"
"Another Shadow Rider showed up, Titan the same guy who tried to kidnap Alexis." Kevin answered. "I beat him though, so it's alright."
"Is Abidos okay?" Jasmine asked him.
"Yeah, he's still resting." he nodded as they saw Abidos was still sleeping in the bed.
"Thank god." Jasmine sighed in relief hearing that.
Both vampires blinked seeing that reaction looking at each other before Kevin smiled knowingly to Camula having a feeling what is gonna happen with her, and Abidos.
"Should we give you two some privacy?" Camula chuckled.
Jasmine blinked before blushing, "H-Hey wait me, and him are not like that!" Both Vampires only laughed at that seeing she's embarrassed.
The next day...
It was a cloudy day like Kevin said still at the infirmary are Abdios, and Jasmine with her asleep sitting on a chair beside Abidos' bed with her head on her arms at his bedside.
Abdios is stirring gently waking up placing his hand on his head, "Ah... what?" Looking he sees Jasmine on his bedside sleeping, and gasped, "Your...!"
The noise made her wake up.
"Oh, you're awake." she smiled. "Did you sleep well?"
"Y-Yes... where am I?" Abidos asked looking around.
"You're in nurse Fontaine's office, not long after our duel you passed out so we brought you here." Jasmine explained. "You... didn't pass on when I beat you."
"So... that must've meant what I done worked." Abidos said hearing that admitting, "I used my Charm's power, and used it all to restore my physical form here so... I'm now no longer undead, I'm living all the way once more."
"You... you could do that?" Jasmine asked in surprise. "But, how can you use your Shadow Charm after losing a Shadow Duel? I don't really get how they work."
"Their not like the Spirit Keys." Abidos answered before saying, "We can use them however we see fit until we lose our souls in Shadow Games. I lose that Shadow Game with you but I managed to use my Charm to restore me back to the living before they get my Soul."
"Oh, well I'm glad to hear that." Jasmine smiled.
"Same to me..." Abidos slowly tries to stand up as Jasmine helps him up off the bed, "Been a while since I been in my true mortal body... Hope I haven't gotten rusty. Undead, and mortal bodies are very different."
Jasmine blushed. "I could... get nurse Fontaine and see if she could give you a check-up."
"No no... I'm alright. I'm sure she wouldn't want to try checking on a Pharaoh... or rather former." Abidos said that last part since Pharaoh's are not really what he is anymore.
"So... why do you decide to stay?" Jasmine asked him curiously.
"Well... figured, I might have a chance to learn most of what I'm missing from this place." Abidos answered rubbing his head, "So... maybe consider me a new disciple or whatever you call disciples nowadays."
"Student." Jasmine answered with a smile. "We'll have to talk with Chancellor Sheppard, but I don't think it'll be a problem."
Abidos smiled to her before she then asked, "Oh that reminds me... sorry for asking but what is your age?"
Abidos gives thought before he then said, "Actually young to 15."
Jasmine's eyes widened. "That's the same as me."
"Well not actually my real age since I was undead most of my time but that's what I am physically." Abidos mentioned to her with a sheepish smile.
"I had a feeling." Jasmine smiled back.
Hearing the door opened they looked seeing Sheppard with Dr. Crowler, and Banner walking in which the Chancellor smiled seeing them, "I see your able to stand up again."
"Yes... So am I correct to assume your the leader of this... this..." Abidos said trying to think the right word to describe the Academy.
"School, Duel Academy actually." Sheppard answered. "And I suppose that's true, I'm the Chancellor here."
"Well you probably heard of me. Abidos the Third, former member of the Shadow Riders, and former Pharaoh." Abidos bowed introducing himself before standing up.
"Professor Banner, and Kevin informed me of your situation." Sheppard said to him before he smiled, "And since we got Camula with us, we would also be glad to have you with us."
"And hopefully work my way up from the bottom like I should've been since my servants let me win perhaps?" Abidos asked hoping that would be the case.
"That's fine with me, do you mind having a dorm mate?" Banner inquired.
"Not really." Abidos said with a shake of his head saying it's fine with him.
"Well considering your background, we thought of placing you with Obelisk Blue the highest ranking dorm but with how you really are, and are a transfer student, you'll be placed into the lowest dorm Slifer Red." Sheppard said to him hearing that.
Abidos' eyes widen hearing that, "Slifer, and Obelisk as in the ancient Gods? There here at this place?"
"Oh boy, we should probably explain a lot to you." Sheppard said with a sweatdrop, and a sheepish smile.
"I'll explain everything and I can introduce you to Chazz." Banner smiled. "Right this way your highness."
"Oh please none of that. It's the reason why none of my servants took me serious so none of that highness, majesty all that stuff." Abidos requested him.
"Alright then, Abidos it is." Banner smiled.
With that Abidos followed Banner before Sheppard turned to Jasmine, "You better be ready to get started for today Jasmine."
"Right." she nodded with a smile.
They all exit at this.
Meanwhile...
Abidos now in a Slifer Red Blazer with white pants, and shoes with his Egyptian Pharaoh wear in a plastic bag he's holding having a head of short gray hair looked at the number of the room, and at a sheet of paper Banner gave him, "So this is the room..." He gave a knock.
"What?" asked an annoyed voice.
"I was told that this is the room, I'm sharing you with." Abidos told the occupant.
"What, no way. The Chazz stays solo." the voice mentioned as Chazz opened the door. "Go bother Jaden."
"Hey aren't you that same kid, during my match with Jasmine?" Abidos asked recognizing him.
"Wait, you're the Shadow Rider she beat. Great, how many of you are enrolling at Duel Academy anyway?" Chazz questioned.
"Well best not share any bad blood between us. I was told I was gonna be sharing this room with you. The Headmaster of this dorm said so himself." Abidos said to him.
Chazz looked shocked hearing that. "You're kidding."
"If you want to hear it from him be my guest." Abidos said to him with a shrug of his shoulders.
Chazz frowned and walked past him at that. Abidos watches as he does before shrugging walking in the room. Hearing something he looked seeing a message on his new PDA checking.

"Duel Monster's Spirit Day?" Abidos asked confused before he gets a message, and checked.
JASMINE: Are you in your new dorm?
ABIDOS: Yes, sharing it with someone else that I remember from my duel with you. My PDA then notified me about a Duel Monster's Spirit Day?
JASMINE: Yeah, it's a big festival.
ABIDOS: You wouldn't mind helping me out with that? It is my first time after all...
JASMINE: Oh, well... actually I have a few ideas... maybe a Gravekeeper? I'm going as Harpie Lady along with my best friends Alexis and Mindy.
ABIDOS: Gravekeeper? Like the Gravekeeper's Deck?
JASMINE: Yeah, you could dress up as one of them... or, I guess Spirit of the Pharaoh but that might be kind of complicated to get it to look right.
ABIDOS: We will figure it out as I learn it seems.
JASMINE: Ok, that sounds good to me.
Abidos put down his PDA sighing.
Meanwhile...
"Ah ha found it." Kevin smiled finding something in his old closet, "Hopefully, I can still wear it."
"Kevin?" Camula inquired. "What is it?"
"My costume from the last few times on Duel Monster's Spirit Day." Kevin answered.
"Oh, you've piqued my curiosity." Camula smiled.
"Speaking of do you have your's?" Kevin turned to her.
"I do, I'm just waiting to put it on." Camula answered.
"Well bathroom's over there." Kevin gestured with a smile.
She nodded walking to the bathroom. With him by himself he starts undressing putting his own costume on. After a few minutes Camuia walked out dressed as Vampire Vamp. Kevin turned freezing dressing up as surprisingly Vampire Lord. Camula's eyes widened before blushing. "That... wow."
"You look amazing Camula." Kevin said with a smile.
"So do you." Camula admitted before smiling. "Shall we find your friends?"
He nodded offering his arm. Camula smiled taking it as they walked off together.
Meanwhile...
"This is my favorite day of the year, Duel Monster Spirit Day." said a female voice as a glowing light floated above the students of Duel Academy.
Among them the light notices Syrus. Giggling it floated down behind a building before revealing itself to be the Dark Magician Girl before she walked out among the costumed students to try and find him. Syrus found the rest as he said, "Hey guys!"
They looked over with Jaden wearing a Shining Flare Wingman as he grinned, "Hey Sy! Nice costume!"
Syrus was wearing a Dark Magician costume.
"Thanks Jaden." Syrus smiled.
"Sounds like you guys are ready."
They looked seeing Kevin, and Camula just arrived with Camula taking Kevin's arm as Vamp, and Lord respectfully.
"Whoa, you two look like a really great couple." Syrus admitted.
"Vampire Lord?" Bastion who dressed as a Tiger asked surprised by Kevin's costume of choice, "I thought you be like a dragon Kevin."
"Well... vampires always fascinate me." Kevin admitted with a small embarrassed blush.
"Gee, I wonder if that explains anything." Chazz smirked struggling to walk over to them as XYZ Dragon Cannon.
"Whoa that looks mighty heavy Chazz." Jaden said seeing that in awe, "But still looks really cool!"
"Where are the others?" Bastion inquired.
"Right here."
They looked seeing Abidos is dressed in a white, and black garb holding a small scepter. What he's dressed as is Gravekeeper's Chief. Along with him are Jasmine, Mindy, and Alexis all as the Harpy Ladies.
"Wow... you girls look amazing." Jaden smiled but he was looking at Alexis with a small blush.
"Yeah good." Kevin smiled before noticing, "And I see you picked the same costume."
Atticus was walking over as the Black Luster Soldier while Zane looks like Cyber Commander.
"So that's everyone?" Chazz asked.
"Not everyone."
They all looked finding Dark Magician Girl with a smile.
Blinking Jaden asked, "Do we know you?"
"Her costume is amazing." Camula admitted seeing it.
"Yeah... like she's a complete copy of Dark Magician Girl." Syrus admitted in awe seeing her.
The Dark Magician Girl giggled. "You think so?"
Syrus blushed at that before nodding, "Y-Yeah."
"Thanks." she smiled. "Can we walk around together?"
"Uh sure." Syrus nodded with a blush.
"Might we take one too?" Abidos asked Jasmine.
"Oh, sure." she smiled.
They walked off as they watched with smiles.
With the Dark Magician Girl, and Syrus...
The two walked together close.
"You were really cool before you know." she mentioned.
Syrus blinked to her confused, "What do you mean?"
"Your duel with that Amazon." she smiled before leaning down to kiss his nose.
Syrus freeze at that before looking at her stunned, "W-W-Wait... you were..."
She just smiled at that. He looked blushing looking down. The Dark Magician Girl giggled before kissing his nose again. "You were amazing."
"T-Thank you..." was his response before looking up showing his face is awful red.
"What should we do?" Dark Magician Girl asked him.
"Well uh... do you another name besides Dark Magician Girl?" he asked before admitting, "Just to call you easier."
"Mana." she answered.
"Mana..." he repeated.
Smiling she took his hand. "After you?"
He nodded before asking, "Uh... can I kiss you?"
Smiling she kissed him on the lips. He softly kissed her back.
"Of course you can." she smiled.
He blushed, "I've... always wanted to do that to my true love." He paused, "Did I just said that?"
Mana blushed slightly. "You did and... do you mean what I think you mean?"
Syrus blushed looking down, "Ye... yeah."
"That's sweet, but it can't work." Mana admitted sadly. "You know that right?"
He looked at her.
"I'm not wearing a costume, and I can't stay here with you for more than today." Mana told him.
"Well... Abidos, and Camula both stayed... and I think they can help you stay for longer." Syrus suggested to her.
Mana looked thoughtful before shaking her head. "Abidos is human right, and Camula... well vampire's are closer to humans than Duel Spirits. I'm not from this world."
"We still gotta try." he takes her hand, "I'd even head to your home to be with you if I must."
Mana gasped before gently embracing him. "Your friends would miss you."
"I-I didn't mean I'd stay there forever." Syrus said with a big blush, "I just mean, take visits whenever we want."
Mana smiled and gently kissed him again. "That would be nice."
He takes her hand at that looking up to her, "...I love you."
Mana kissed his nose. "I love you too."
Meanwhile...
Jasmine, and Abidos were walking together themselves.
"This is... very strange." Abidos admitted looking around.
"Yeah like what your kingdom use to have." Jasmine agreed.
"Well we do have festivals but nothing like this." Abidos explained looking before saying, "I never been to one either since my duties as a Pharaoh kept me away."
"Well, that can change now." Jasmine smiled.
Noticing something Abidos walked to a stall which Jasmine curiously followed which she sees he's looking at Corn Dogs from one of the stalls, "What... are those?"
Jasmine smiled buying two before handing one to him. "It's called a corndog, they're sold during festivals like this."
He takes it looking over, "This doesn't like what what my kingdom has." He curiously takes a bite chewing before his eyes widen swallowing, "And every bit as delicious! Bready, meaty, juicy, and crisp all at once!"
"Glad you like it." Jasmine smiled.
"Well I really am missing out at what this age has." Abidos admitted before noticing what looks like vanilla cake with slices showing layers of white frosting, "Huh? That looks like bread."
Curiously Jasmine turned seeing what he's looking at. Placing his Corndog on the plate he takes a fork, and takes a bite, and his eyes lighten up, "Sweet, and moist! What do you call this?"
"Cake." Jasmine giggled slightly.
"Cake... a bit of an odd name. But whatever the case it's delicious." Abidos smiled taking another bite. When he looks at her he looks her over before admitting, "You know Jasmine... you look great."
"Oh... thanks." she blushed.
"Well I mean, I never had any female servants, or friends. My duties as a Pharaoh kept me from that." Abidos admitted to her, "I don't usually mind since my servants helped me around even if they let me win."
"Wait, but... didn't you have a father figure and mother figure?" Jasmine asked hearing that. "People who raised you?"
"Well... they died when I was 7. I was crowned Pharaoh when I was 8 since I had no other relatives, and I was the sole member of my family left." Abidos admitted to her.
Jasmine looked stunned hearing that before she hugged him. "I'm sorry."
"It's alright. I gotten over it already." Abidos smiled wrapping his arm around her while his other manages his plate of corndog, and cake.
Jasmine blushed at that before smiling gently.
"But I did hear some of my servants saying, that I will never get a 'wife', or 'girlfriend'. Whatever those mean." Abidos shrugged to her before saying, "But aren't you like one of those to me?"
"Well, I don't know yet." Jasmine blushed. "Well..."
She blushed more as she explained it to him.
"So it's basically like someone I love with all my heart?" Abidos asked hearing that having finished the food he gotten.
"Well... yeah." she nodded.
"Like you?" came an unexpected question.
"Huh?" Jasmine asked in shock before blushing. "What?"
"Like you?" he repeated.
"You... do you mean you feel that way about... me?" Jasmine asked blushing more. "We barely know each other."
"Yeah? You gave me a real duel, and introduced me to a lot of stuff I didn't know." Abidos pointed out.
"Well yeah but, any of my friends could have done the same thing." Jasmine blushed more.
"Well maybe, but I prefer you cause... you look dashing." Abidos said with a smile.
Jasmine blushed more. "Oh... thank you."
She feels him take her hand in his with a smile. She smiled feeling that.
"So will you?" he asked her.
Jasmine blushed more but slowly nodded. Abidos smiled as they walked off together.
Later...
"Okay everyone gather around!" announced Syrus on a megaphone.
Hearing that everyone turned to him.
"It is now time for the main event! A match between two different costume wearing duelists!" Syrus called before gesturing, "Here we got Mana dressing as the Dark Magician Girl!"
Smiling she waved to everyone as she went to take her position.
"And for the next one, here we have Alexis Rhodes as one of the Harpy Ladies!" Syrus introduced the next opponent.
Mana smiled as Alexis walked up. "Good luck."
"Same to you." Alexis smiled back.
"DUEL!" the two of them called together.

Alexis said showing a card discarding it before drawing two cards, and place one back, "Then since Benten was Tributed, I take a LIGHT Fairy monster from my Deck to my hand." She shows a card.
"Alright." Mana smiled.
"Then I use Machine Angel Ritual!" Alexis added.

"So now by Tributing monsters on my field who's level equal a Cyber Angel Ritual monster in my hand, I can Ritual Summon that monster." Alexis explained to Mana.
Mana looked surprised before smiling. "Alright, what are you going to play?"
"I Tribute Cyber Tutubon!"
At that a female warrior wearing a tutu with roses in her hand smiled before being offered.
"Angel of light hiding healing powers. Bring recovery with your lovely form. Descend! Level 5! Cyber Angel Natasha!"
At that what rose was a centaur like fairy with several arms wearing golden armor, and a mask readying.

Alexis played the card showing two cards, "This time I Tribute Shining Angel, and Cyber Tutu!"
A girl wearing a tutu, and a Angel with golden wings appeared being Tributed.
"Angel with the power of a storm! Bring in the power of might! Ritual Summon! Descend, level 6, Cyber Angel Benten!"
What rose up was a fairy having two fans connected with chains readying.

"Wow, you're good." Mana smiled.
"That's only the start! Benten attack her face-down!"
Benten charged in at the face-down. The monster was revealed to be a copy of Fire Sorcerer.

"But I'm not the only one that's taking damage. When Benten destroys your monster in battle, you take damage equal to that monster's Defense Positions." Alexis grinned to Mana.
Mana gasped as she took the damage.

"Now Natasha!"
Natasha fired a blast at Mana. Mana braced herself as the attack hit.

"Huh?" Alexis asked as it fired an attack destroying Natasha.
"Now, I'll attack Cyber Angel Benten with Magician of Chaos and by discarding Apprentice illusion Magician my Magician of Chaos gains 2000 attack and defense points." Mana smiled.
Magician of Chaos: (ATK: 2500 + 2000 = 4500/DEF: 2100 + 2000 = 4100)
Chaos attacked destroying Benten while Alexis grunted. (Alexis: 1400/Hand: 0)
"I end my turn." Mana smiled.

Alexis 2nd Turn:
Alexis looked before drawing, "I draw!" Looking she called, "I use Natasha's effect in my graveyard!"
"Huh?" Mana asked hearing that.
"By banishing a Cyber Angel from the graveyard while it's in there, it comes back!"
Natasha popped out of the graveyard readying.

"Then, I take control of 1 monster on your field!" Alexis revealed.
Mana watched in shock as her monster moved to Alexis's side of the field.
"And now Magician of Chaos attack!"
Mana's Ritual Monster fired a dark magic orb at her. The attack hit wiping out the last of Mana's life points.
