Chapter 3: Discovery
Part 3: A Choice
While Violet is standing, she cautiously crept toward the Galra Paladin. She got onto her knees, she reached out her hand and place it on his shoulder. Violet took a deep breath and began to concentrate. Before she could let her mind go blank. She saw the Galra Paladin's right ear twitched. Violet nearly jumped, but her hand is still in place. Suddenly, the Galra Paladin slowly began to open his eyes.
When the Galra Paladin opens his eyes, his sleepy eyes stared at Violet. Violet nearly blushed as she stared back into the Galra Paladin's beautiful bright purple eyes that are shining against the light-yellow cornea. Both Violet and the Galra Paladin stared at each other for a few moments. Suddenly, the Galra Paladin closed his eyes and went back to painful sleep.
Violet remain silent and still for a moment, slowly, she took her hand away from his shoulder as she snapped out of it. Slowly, Violet has begun to process what has happened, along with the recognition of what she has just seen. Well... Violet thought. I don't sense any evil within him…and…I guess that I can… Without even noticing, her hand bumped into something.
The galra paladin yelped in pain.
"What?" Violet jumped as she got defensive, "What is it? What's wrong?"
"…m-my…my leg…" the galra paladin tried to answer as he shakes in pain.
"What about your leg?" Violet asked him in concern, "And which leg?"
"…its…" the galra paladin struggled as he continues to shake.
"Save your strength," Violet spoke gently to him. "Let me take a look at your legs to see which one," Violet looks down at his legs. She sees his right leg is covered in scratches and dust, and the left leg has a deep dark red stain with two pipes and a coil of rope tied around it. Hesitantly, Violet gently tapped the galra paladin's right leg. Nothing happened. Then Violet tapped the left leg.
The galra paladin yelp in pain.
"Sorry," Violet gasped. His left leg is broken, I've felt it. Violet thought. No wonder he has rope and pipe around it, he was trying to stable it. Violet bit her lip as she began to debate. Violet looks at the galra paladin, continuing to shake in pain as he is half asleep. Nearly knowing what is happening around him. Violet sighed as he unclipped her cape. I know that I can't heal him here. Violet took her cape off. I must get him to the castle, there. He will be able to be taken care of and rest. Violet looped her cape around the galra paladin's shoulders. Brushing it against his warm body and armor as she clipped it on him.
"…brr…" the galra paladin shivered.
"Hold on," Violet gently spoke to him as she put a hood over his head and cat-like ears. "I'll get you somewhere safe," she looped the galra paladin's left arm over her shoulders. "Come on," she helped him up.
The galra paladin yelped in pain as they are getting up.
"Lean on me," Violet offered as she helped him stand. Not expecting that he is taller than her, she has still been able to help him. "Let's go outside," they both limped out of the Black Lion.
As they are outside of the Black Lion, Violet helps the galra paladin to get to her flying stallion: Silver Wind. Silver Wind sniffed the air and did not like the scent that he is smelling, he naiad. Violet quickly stopped and put the galra paladin near against the tree. "Wait here," Violet whispered.
The galra paladin nodded. Violet let go of him and let him lean against the tree. Violet ran towards Silver Wind.
"Silver Wind, easy boy. Shh," Violet calmed Silver Wind down. "It's okay, he's not going to hurt us. He's on our side with a very good soul and he is also hurt. He needs our help to recover from the crash. Please, help me get him to the castle. There, you and the others will yell at me later."
Silver Wind calms down as he nodded. Violet leads him to the galra paladin. Violet went to the galra paladin's side.
"Come on, let's get you on Silver Wind," Violet spoke.
The galra paladin groaned in pain as Violet helped him to walk towards Silver Wind.
"I know that you are in pain," Violet spoke to him gently. "But you got to let us help you to get help from others. Please?" The galra paladin weakly looks at her with sleepy eyes, seeing how concerned she is through her eyes.
The galra paladin nodded as he nearly climbed onto Silver Wind. With his stomach on the saddle, he blacked out and limped over the back of Silver Wind.
Violet went around to check the galra paladin, to see why he is on his stomach while he is on the back of her flying stallion. But soon stopped at the sight she is seeing. Violet giggled as she sees that he has fallen asleep with a peaceful and nearly relaxed expression on his sleeping face. He sure is cute when he is asleep. Violet thought as she looks at him. Just like a cat. Violet lightly giggled as she smiled. From the corner of her eye, she saw her satchel that is hanging on the saddle move. She walked towards it but noticed that it was unclipped. Violet opened it, and notice something that is in the satchel. Violet smiled kindly as she hushes at something that is within the satchel. She closes it and clipped it back on. Make sure that nothing has fallen out of it. Violet went to Silver Wind's front and grabbed the lase. Suddenly, her bowed wings transformed into a larger set of pairs of wings that are now attached to her back. "Let's go Silver Wind," Violet spoke as she spread her wings. "Let's get back to the castle."
Silver Wind nodded as both Violet and Silver Wind took flight. With the unconscious galra paladin on Silver Wind's back, they flew carefully in the sky to head back to the Celestial Castle.
As Violet, Silver Wind and the galra paladin have left the forest. Black Lion purred loudly as it closes its mouth. Finally, Black knows that its paladin is safe and sound. Suddenly, Black has went offline and begun to recharge. As Black recharges, he begun to wait till his paladin is needed his aid again.
