Chapter 4: Remember Who You Are ~ The Unexpected Recovery

Darkness. That's all the Galra Paladin could feel and to see was darkness. He could bare feel, he could barely see, he could barely hear, and he could barely even breathe within the darkness. As he barely continues to sink into the darkness, feeling all alone and couldn't find a way out with his mind going blank. Who…who am I? He wondered as he began to sink in further. What is this place? Is…everything that I…could barely know was…just a dream? The Galra Paladin begins to slowly realize that he is losing some things that are very important to him and he once have them close to his heart. He could barely remember his friends, both names and faces. His family. He could barely remember his name. As he slowly continued to enter the world of darkness. Is there any way that I could wake up? To know who I am? In…including…her? The only thing that he could remember is the face of a girl, who has touched him and almost woke him up. Had the scent of roses trapped in his nostrils as his body nearly denied its existence. Was it all a dream? The Galra Paladin continues to wonder. But she looks so…familiar. I want to wake up…to stay…with her…get to know her…who she is. So, she could help me with something…that… He nearly curled himself into a ball. …to know who I am and be myself again…but how? Suddenly, a strong warm feeling appeared above him.
As the strong warm feeling is above him, the Galra Paladin found the strength to open his eyes again. He looked up, and see the strong glowing light floating right above him. "You have earned this chance, Young Paladin." A warm but comforting voice has spoken to him.
Huh? The Galra Paladin nearly raised an eyebrow. Me? A paladin?
"Reach my hand, child." The light has formed a hand, reaching out to him. "With this chance, you will regain who you are with a new start. In return, strong power of hope shall shine like the star again to illuminate the darkness of despair once again."
"Will…will I be able to see the girl again?" the Galra Paladin asked.
"And to those that are very close to your heart, yes." The voice replied with a warmth of reassurance. At near hesitation, the Galra Paladin mind was saying no. But within his heart, he is willing to say yes. Without a word, the Galra Paladin reach out his hand and took the glowing hand. All at once, everything around him has become white.

Images. Images are that the Galra Paladin is now seeing. Images that hold happy memories that are filled within his life. Including the sad times. Including the bad and the good. The Galra Paladin smiled as he remembers and regain all of himself as he knew who he is. I know who I am now. The Galra Paladin thought as he smiled brightly. I am… all at once, everything has gone white to black.

Once the black has faded, the Galra Paladin has finally found the strength to open his eyes. As he opens his eyes, he noticed he was staring at a ceiling. The Galra Paladin slowly sat up, he has now noticed that he is on a bed and he was no longer wearing his paladin suit. He is wearing light blue PJs that are for medical clinics. Medical clinic? Hospital? The Galra Paladin jumped. Wait for a dobash, my leg! He quickly pulled the covers to reveal his legs. As he looks at his left leg, he saw no pipe and rope. Slowly, he rolled up the pant sleeve and reveal the bandage that is wrapped around his left leg. The Galra Paladin sighed in relief. I see that someone has bandaged my leg and straightened it out. The Paladin Galra thought in relief. Could it be that girl who helped me before? Or did she get help? And…where am I and how long was I been out? Suddenly, he heard a clinging and clicking sound, and felt something heavy around his neck. He looks down at his chest. Seeing a strange but ordinary pendant that looks like a locket but in a color of harvest bronze, hanging onto a mixture of a brown bronze chain. "Huh?" He felt his right ear flicked with his mind filled with curiosity. "What's this?" he looks at it. Where did this come from? The Galra Paladin wondered as he reached the back of his neck to unhook the chain. Suddenly, he noticed that he could not find the clip. Huh? Hmm... Then he has gone to believe that it was lopped over his head before it was put on. He tried to do it, but the pendant and the chain glowed and stopped him from moving it at the bottom of his chin. "What?" the Galra Paladin jumped as he tried again, but somehow it won't allow him. What is this thing? The Paladin Galra wondered in panic. Why won't this thing come off? Before he could struggle more, the door of his room opened. A man who looks like a doctor has stepped into the room.
"Oh, you're finally awake." The man nervously smiled at him.
"Uh, I guess." The Galra Paladin curiously replied. In silence and confusion, the man turned to the woman that is right next to him.
The man whispered to the woman. The Paladin Galra couldn't hear him but got a feeling that he was reporting about something. But doesn't know why.
The woman nodded, then dashed into the halls. Leaving both the doctor and the Galra Paladin alone. In nervousness, the doctor turned to him.
"How are you feeling young man?" the doctor asked him.
"Little lightheaded with a broken leg," The Galra Paladin answered. "But in other words, I'll be fine."
"Well, that's normal. Including when you are near to full recovery," the doctor smiled. "Now, I need to check your leg before the examinations of your health are reported."
"Umm, okay." The Galra Paladin nodded, then the doctor went to the left side of the bed.
"I see you lifted your pant sleeve," the doctor spoke. "Got worried I bet?"
"Sort of like that," the Paladin Galra shrugged.
"That's normal," the doctor chuckled. "By the way, how did you manage to break your leg?"
"If I tell you," the Paladin Galra sighed. "You won't believe me."
"Fair enough," then the doctor began to unwrap the bandage.
"Umm, by the way," the Paladin Galra almost stuttered. "If you don't mind asking, where am I exactly?"
"You're at the Palace of the Royal Ones," the doctor answered.
"The Royal Ones?" the Galra Paladin echoed.
"Have you heard of them?" The doctor raised a brow.
"Umm, no. Sorry." The Galra Paladin shook.
The doctor chuckled, "No need." The doctor waved it off, "You're just a newcomer, that's normal. You now probably learned about Celestial Beings have different racks than those have been told."
"Wait," the Galra Paladin nearly jumped in shock. "Did you just say…?" suddenly, someone knocked at the door the scent of roses filled the air.
