Ace and Graham are sitting in the waiting room chatting quietly when, "Graham O'Brien." Graham stands up, "Who is this?"

"This is my fiance, Ace. Ace, this is one of the nurses."

"Thank you for keeping an eye on his health," Ace stands up and shakes her hand.

"Of course, come on Graham, are you ready for tests?"

"I am."

"Are you doing anything after this?"

"Ace and I are going to find a suit for an event her foundation is doing."

''I thought I recognized her, she is Dorothy McShane, isn't she?"

"The one and only, we met through a friend." They complete the tests.

"You should hear back in a few days."

"Thank you," Graham heads out to see Ace talking to someone with curly hair and walks up to her. Ace looks up and excuses herself.

"How was it?"

"It went well, I should know in a few days."

"Is that normal?"

"It is, now let's go find me a suit."

"Let's," they walk out arm in arm. "We will probably have to find you a few different ties to go with dresses that I have."

"That is doable." They walk into a small suit shop, Graham finds a black one quickly that fits. Ties take a while as he gets one in every color.

Friday night cameras are flashing as Ace and Graham step out of their limo for the night. This is the one night of the year Ace uses a limo. Ace stops to answer a few questions with Graham by her side. She only tries to answer those about her foundation only. Though does say who Graham is a few times. They go into the building. "How do you like this?"

Graham putting down his fork, "It is ok. Everyone loves you."

"I do a lot for many different companies." With some light in her eyes, "I only care if one person here loves me."

"I can assure that he does love you, and I know I said this earlier, but you are gorgeous tonight."

"I love you too." They look at their fellow table mates.

"Ms. McShane, it is lovely to see you so enamored with someone," says that man with graying hair.

"Thank you Mr. Shultz."

"I guess asking for money is out of the question with the ring on your finger."

"What experiment are you doing now Mr. Shultz?"

"I found these things sitting out in front of my house, and I need funding to dissect them." Both Ace and Graham look at each other, "They don't look like anything I have ever seen."

"I will have to see them first, you can ask Graham the things that not many people would expect."

"It's true and I added to it." Ace shoots him a smile in gratitude.

"I guess the two of you can come by to see it."

"What day and which science laboratory?"

"My house," Ace's eyes grow wider than everyone but Graham has seen, "this wouldn't be allowed in any of them and how about Monday." Ace and Graham look into the others eyes thinking how they are going to swing this as it might be some alien technology.

"We will be there Monday."

"See you both then," Mr. Shultz gets up from the table.

"Can I have this dance," Graham asks, noticing there are some people dancing.

"Of course," Ace takes his hand and he pulls her into his arms as they reach the dance floor. They start dancing cheek to cheek. "I am going to call Kate in the morning telling her about what we heard." She whispers in his ear.

"I was going to say the same thing. One of us might have to wear some sort of spy gear. Which isn't new to me. When I was still traveling with the Doc, the group of us did some work with MI6."

Ace stands back to look at him still dancing together, "You haven't told me about that yet."

"It's when we met our friend's old school chum."

"We both don't like talking about that particular person."

"Even though; if you think about their evil mind is the reason we met."

"It is," as the song ends they step apart to clap for the band. Ace takes Graham's arm and they head over to some other party guests. After smooshing for a while they leave the gala.

After they get home Graham puts a pot on for some tea. "Hello Kate."

"Hello Ace, how was your thing tonight?"

"It was different."

"Different because you had a date?"

"That and the fact that there may be an alien artifact at one of the benefactors' homes. Graham and I got him to invite us over to look at it."

"The two of you just attract aliens don't you?"

"From what I know Mr. Shultz isn't one. He just happened to come across it."

"When you two go there I want you wired up and have back-up. I know that you guys can protect yourselves."

"We will be careful and wear wires in case UNIT has to collect it."

"Good, now enjoy the rest of your night and try to hammer down a date for the wedding and a location."

"We will try, bye Kate."

"Bye Ace." Ace hangs up as Graham walks in with two cups of tea.

"What did Kate say?"

"We have to be wired and we will have some back up, so you are going to be a spy again."

"One of the best parts of that day was when I had to wear shoes with lasers. I didn't get to keep them though."

Ace leans to him and purrs, "My poor baby," and kisses him. They set their cups down on the coffee table.

After they break apart, "Should we take this upstairs?"

"Yes," they leave their cups and head upstairs.

The next morning, Graham gets off the phone with Tegan as Ace starts to read the news. "Hey honey, do you want to do anything?"

"Read the news." Ace clicks on the newspaper to find pictures of her and Graham from last night, when she and Graham were looking for his suit and back in Perivale when they were nearly making out at the cafe. "Is this why you wanted to distract me?"

"That was Tegan who was just on the phone to warn me."

Ace gets off her chair and walks up to Graham, I knew the word would get out that I was in a relationship."

"Tegan told me there was more than just pictures, there was a summary of your previous relationships. Not that I care. They have been a part of you."

"Have those two told you how I used to react whenever I would appear in the news with a girlfriend or a boyfriend."

"A little bit."

"I sometimes liked them a lot, but never loved them." She wraps her arms around him, "did they say anything about our engagement?"

"Only that the reporter noticed your ring and how some of the guests saw how we were together."

"Good," she smiles and they go on with their day.

Monday they arrived at Mr. Shultz with everything they needed. What they find makes both of their eyes go wide. "Isn't this awesome."

"It is, can you please get me some water, I am feeling a little hoarse." He exits to the kitchen. "Is this a Dalek time drive?"

"I think it is." As Mr. Shultz comes back into the room there is a knock on the door, when he opens up he says a woman who is tall with blonde hair.

"Hello I am Kate Stewart, I work for the government. We have reason to believe that you have something that doesn't belong to you."

"You can't have it."

"Mr. Shultz," Ace comes up behind him, "you don't want to lose your contracts do you?" Ace looks at Kate, "Hello, I am Dorothy McShane."

"Hello Ms. McShane, you are right, you could lose some of your contracts."

"Fine, let me go and get it." Kate winks at Ace. "Here you go."

"Thank you."

"I guess you and Graham can leave now."

''I am sorry that thing got taken away from you, but you are right we do have to go. We have things to plan after all." Graham walks up to Ace with her jacket and helps her into it.

"You have a good one Ace, a gentleman."

Ace shoots a smile at him, "I know." They get into their car and drive to UNIT. "Well, this means I am definitely working for UNIT today."

"I am glad that we were able to keep this away from Nyssa."

"I am too. If I am honest I did tell her where I keep a few of my secrets at my building just in case."

"That was a good idea. Now since we have a Dalek time drive in the position of UNIT."

"Hopefully Tegan tells her that we may see Daleks again. Though if I get to beat up a Dalek again that will be wicked." Graham laughs, "What is funny."

"I just love that you are still so 80s."

"That decade did have the most impact on who I am today."

"I know. Should we talk more about our wedding guests?"

"I was thinking just those of us who know the Doctor and their significant others, like Neeka."

"Don't forget Clif."

"He met 'em."

"That's right. Did Nyssa ever tell you how her children came to earth?"

"No."

"Ok."

"Why?"

"We know that River got her here, but not how Neeka and Adric did."

"I think it was a mother's love and the fact they appeared the day she and Tegan got married."

"Maybe a wedding present."

"From who?"

"Exactly."

"That is something they would do, speaking about them. Can we leave a chair out for them? I know they will not show up, but you know for the spirit of the thing."

"We should and have it be on your side."

"I am extended fam and you are fam."

"You have meant more to them than you realize. Look at how she threatened someone for you and your room is still exactly the same."

"Ok, a chair on my side," she smiles, "have you thought about more groomsmen?"

"I was thinking of Dan, the other one, I don't know."

"You only need one more."

"You are right." They arrive at headquarters for UNIT. Ace and Graham side by side as he opens up the door for her she gives him a look and he just smiles.

"Great job you two." Kate says walking down the stairs.

"Just a few minutes head start and you get back quickly."

"We used the sirens on the car to get here faster, because we didn't know if the Daleks would be looking for it." She looks at them. "You haven't been working here that much Ace."

"I know, there have been a lot of things happening with A Charitable Earth. I am glad that Nyssa works there now."

"Someone you trust."

"Exactly, now is there anything else you need?"

"No, you two can go to your computers."

At lunchtime Graham walks up to Dan who has changed his mind, and sits down. "What's up Graham?"

"Do you want to be one of my groomsmen? Ryan is my best man."

"Ok." Dan goes back to eating. Ace and Tegan join them.

"How is Nyssa enjoying working for A Charitable Earth?"

"She loves it so far. You haven't asked Ace?"

"She's your wife."

"Graham likes to get all of his facts straight."

"I am just pulling his leg." They finish their lunches and head back to work.

That night Ace and Graham have a binder in front of them, "so we have Tegan and Ryan walking down together as best man and matron of honor. Should we have Dan walk with Nyssa or Yaz?"

"I don't know. I am also thinking about who is going to be the second groomsman."

"How many mates do you have?"

"Since I left with the Doc, not many."

"Why?"

"I couldn't answer the questions where I was for so long."

"I have an idea, it will look odd, but what if one of yours walks down two of mine at the same time."

Graham leans over and kisses her cheek, "I love that idea. We know that there will be reporters on the outside looking in."

"Yes, which is why I am going to make sure we have curtains drawn. No need for them to try to get a shot of this," she leans towards Graham and they lock lips.

After they break apart Graham looks at the seating chart. "We need to figure out a location, so we can set this seating chart in stone."

"I agree. We need a place big enough and removed enough from the greater public."

"What about here?"

"It might work, spacious, tucked away and we can have the reception where we have the meetings."

"How about November 6th as the day we get married."

"The day we said I love you for the first time."

''The exact one."

With a laugh in her voice, "Tegan and Nyssa will know the moment we tell them the day."

"I know."

"We have the date, main location, hopefully reception location and I have my dress."

"I can't wait to see you in it."

"According to the three ladies, I looked gorgeous."

"You always do."

"Whatever.'' They continue working on some of the plans for rest the night and eventually make their way up to bed. Over the next few weeks they book the hall for the reception hall and send out save the date cards.

"Is that the day I think it is Ace?"

"Yes, it is Tegan." The four of them are sitting down for dinner. "Graham and I have been talking about two of you or Nyssa and Yaz with Dan."

"I am fine with Yaz and I, walking down with Dan. The matron of honor and best man should walk down together. Have you talked to Yaz?"

"Not yet, we wanted your guys' opinion first. Speaking of Yaz, has Neeka told you how things are going between them?"

Tegan and Nyssa look at each other, "She can tell Yaz is holding back from her."

"Oh Yasmin."

"Why are you saying that Graham?"

"She is still thinking about the Doc, and not in ways any of us even thought of them."

"Oh."

"I want her to be happy."

"Us too," Ace is the one moved farthest from the situation. She loves both Yaz and Neeka equally.

"As much as it hurts me to say this since I care for the both of them, we have to let them figure out everything for themselves. Plus no matter what later this year they will see each other."

"You have a point."

"I don't want to see Neeka hurt in any way; you know I love her like a niece."

"We know, you don't want to see her hurt."

"Neither do I."

"We know Graham." They go back to eating all of them thinking of the young couple.

A couple weeks later "Hello."

"Is this Graham O'Brien?"

"This is he."

"We have your results."

"And."

"You are still cancer free."

"Thank you." Graham hangs up and walks over to Ace, "Still cancer free."

"That's great," she turns around and gives him a hug and a small kiss.
