Chapter 11: The Royal Explanation ~ Flashback Story
Part 5: A Sign ~ Before the Awakening

It's been two days has been passed, and the galra remains asleep while the Celestial Healers are attending him and making sure that he's doing okay with a cast on his leg. Violet visits the galra every time, whenever she has free time. Whenever she visits the galra, Violet gets a strange familiar figuration from him. Including that she couldn't get the galra's eyes out of her mind. Violet doesn't know what to do, she sighs as she hopes that her presence would help the galra to have company once he wakes up.
One night, the galra sleeps peacefully. Suddenly, he began to stir as his hand began to clutch the blanket. He muttered softly in his sleep. His fur has begun to bed with sweat. All at once, he started to shout in pain in his sleep. The Healers came, trying to calm him down when he is still half asleep. Knowing that he's having a nightmare and almost begun to wake up.

At the East Wing, Violet is doing one of her studies before she could go to bed. Dizzy, Violet could hardly hold her body up as she studied. Suddenly, she felt a strange tug within her heart. Violet put her hand over her breast, curiously wondering what it was and what is causing it. Suddenly, a flash flew by her head with an image of the galra. Shouting in pain. "Paladin," Violet whispered as she stormed out of her room and ran towards the Medical Wing.
At the Medical Wing, Violet got to the room. Where the galra is held. Before she would enter, Violet saw the medical team bringing in medicine and needles. Knowing that would sedate the galra. Another tug tugged her heart, Violet could no longer stay quiet. She stepped into the room before the medical team could use the needles. Violet began to panic, "Wait," Violet spoke. The medical team turned to the entrance.
"Princess," Dr. Albert spoke. "It's not safe, you must leave."
"What happened Dr. Albert?" Violet asked.
"The galra was sleeping peacefully a moment ago," Dr. Albert explained. "But now, he was yelling in his sleep. We believe that he is in pain because of his leg."
"Then why are you putting into stasis?" Violet asked, "You know that it will put him into more harm than he already has."
"I know," Dr. Albert admitted. "But there's nothing that we could do but get him to relax."
The paladin only relaxes when he is around... Violet thought. Suddenly, an idea appeared in her head. "Let me give it a try," Violet volunteered.
"What?" Dr. Albert jumped.
"I can do it, I know that I can." Violet nodded.
"Are you crazy? Your uncle will have our feathers if anything happens to you," Dr. Albert protested.
"I know what I am doing, just trust me." Violet protested back with determination to help flickers within her eyes.
Dr. Albert sighs in defeat. "Alright, just be careful."
"I will," Violet understood. Slowly, Dr. Albert turned to his team.
"Give her room," he ordered his team.
His team nodded as they let go of the galra. To make some room for their princess to step in.
The galra keeps on shouting in his sleep as he slashes around.
"Dr. Albert," Violet spoke.
"Yes, your highness?" Dr. Albert asked.
"Whatever I'm doing or say, please. Don't repeat this to my uncle." Violet begged, "I don't want him to worry or to be angry with me…about this."
"Uh, sure." Dr. Albert nodded, curiously. "But what about…?"
"You'll see," Violet went to the bed. Nervously, she breathes as she gently touches the galra's shoulders. "Paladin," Violet whispered gently.
"Huh?" Dr. Albert and his team jumped.
"Princess Violet," Dr. Albert nearly stuttered his words. "Did…did you just say…?"
"Paladin," Violet nearly whispered as she gently shook the Galra Paladin. "Paladin, wake up!" Suddenly, within a tick, the Galra Paladin sits up straight fast.
"MOM!" he cried out with his tired, blurry purple and yellow eyes having burst into tears. Breathing heavily.
"Whoa, hey! Easy," Violet sat in front of him, "It's okay, everything's okay. You just had a nightmare."
"…n-not a nightmare…" the Galra Paladin breathes heavily as tears stream down his furry cheeks.
"I don't believe it," said one of Dr. Albert's team.
"It speaks," said another.
"…i-it…it was…" the Galra Paladin nearly choke his tears.
"Is…is the dream…about your mother?" Violet asked gently and curiously. Before she could touch his shoulder, the Galra Paladin wrapped his arms around her. Drew her close to him and he buried his face in her right shoulder. Violet blushed in shock at what position she has gotten herself into. Suddenly, she felt tears falling onto her shoulder. Violet's eyes soften her face replaced with worry. Slowly, she wrapped her arms around him and stroked the neck of his neck. "Shh, it's okay. Everything's going to be okay, now."
Dr. Albert was saddened as he noticed it wasn't physical pain that the galra was in. But emotional pain has woken him up. Guess that this patient is more than meets the eye. Dr. Albert thought as he thinks of a new way to help his new patient. Slowly, he walks up to Violet and the galra. "I'll give him medicine to sleep better tonight," Dr. Albert spoke. "After he calms down a bit."
Violet nodded as she continues stroking his head, calming him down with tears still streaming down from his face.
Five minutes have passed, and the Galra Paladin fully calms down. The doctor let him drink some water with a sleeping pill inside. The Galra Paladin drank the medicine water and slowly falls back to sleep. As he felt Violet stroking his head, rubbing his ears. He purred comfortably as he falls asleep.

Outside of the room, everything has remained calm once again. "The galra is finally asleep," Dr. Albert spoke. "I'm impressed that he didn't harm you, your highness."
"Probably he has a nightmare, and he needed someone to comfort him." Violet nearly shrugged. I know how that feels. Violet thought.
"Understandable, however." Dr. Albert's voice becomes more concerned. "Why did you call him Paladin?"
Violet sighed, "Promise never to tell my uncle of what I'm going to tell you."
"I know that I can't make any promises, but I can keep this one for you. Just this once," Dr. Albert agreed.
Violet nodded, she leaned in and whispered to his ear.
Dr. Albert's eyes fly wide as he is stunned to hear what Violet has discovered. He turned to her, "I won't tell anyone, including your uncle. Until he is ready to reveal himself to your uncle. To us. To the kingdom. To Heaven. To all."
"Thank you, Dr. Albert." Violet smiled.
"You're welcome, your highness." Dr. Albert closed the door, and everyone has turned in for the night.

Back to the present, Keith is still sitting on his bed. As he felt his Galran cat-like ears burning. As he also feels the blushes painted all over his face instead of purple. Starring at Violet and turned away, embarrassed.
Violet nervously laughed as she lightly blushed.
"What?" Twilight's eyes turned bright light brown, "I missed that? Last night?"
Violet nervously nodded.
So glad that I don't remember any of this last night. Keith thought as he blushed hard.
"Well," Twilight's eyes turned bright copper shrugged as she smirks a smile. "Guess that is all has been happening for the last past three days."
"You could say that," Violet still nervously laughs as her blush remains. Suddenly, Dr. Albert has finally come back with a tray full of food and a clipboard.
"Here's some soup," Dr. Albert spoke. "It will help you to stable your stomach for the rest of the day."
"Umm…thank you," Keith nervously replied as his face returned to purple.
"Oh, by the way." Twilight spoke, "After he finished eating and after you're done examining him. I ran into our uncle."
"Is that why you didn't beat me?" Violet spoke.
"Maybe," Twilight narrowed her eyes as it turned to camouflage. "Plus, I told him that the galra is finally awake." her eyes return to white. "Uncle told me to tell you three that he likes the galra to come down to the Council Chamber for a meeting."
"What?!" Keith, Dr. Albert, and Violet jumped.
"Are you crazy?" Keith hissed, feeling his ears close to his head.
"Do you remember the last time when he was there?" Dr. Albert asked, "And we were trying to stop it?"
"Yeah, I remember." Twilight narrowed her eyes as they turned to the color turquoise. "You, down kitty."
Keith hissed at her, offended.
"Guess that you don't like to be called that," Twilight raised her eyes as they turned a light rainbow.
"Never have," Keith admitted as he growled.
Yup, I rest my case. Twilight thought as she *animated* sweat dropped and her eyes turned to bright hazel. Twilight sighed.
"Sister," Violet spoke to scold her.
"Hmm?" Twilight's eyes turned to light indigo with eyebrows arched.
"Why didn't you say anything sooner?" Violet panicked.
"Just want to see the reaction on the galra's face…about how you fell for him. Or should I say, onto you." Violet's eyes turned dark lavender.
"Tw-Twilight!" Violet's pale face turned to bright red.
"S-shut up!" Keith hissed as his purple face turned to all bright red. As he felt the steam burst through his ears.
"Whoa, whoa." Dr. Albert tried to step in, "Easy you three, we all need to save blood shad for another time. Right after meeting the council and the king, okay?"
"Fine," both Twilight and Keith spoke as they both crossed their arms.
"Alright," Violet nodded.
"Well, we must hurry then." Dr. Albert spoke calmly, "So we won't ruin the king's patience, won't we?"
"Have we ever?" Twilight narrowed her eyes as they turned light red.
"Sister," Violet scolded Twilight.
"What?" Twilight shrugged as her eyes turned both brown and camouflage. "It's the truth."
Violet shook her head, "Never mind," she sighed as she turned to Keith. "We'll be waiting for you outside after you are done. Would that be alright?"
"Uh sure," Keith nodded as his face turned to purple color.
Violet smiled as she and her sister left the room, leaving Dr. Albert alone with Keith.
"I'll bring you some fresh, clean clothes for you to represent yourself to the council." Dr. Albert, "And a brace, just in case for you to walk."
"Alright, thank you." Keith thanked him.
Dr. Albert smiled, "I'll be right back," Dr. Albert left the room. Leaving Keith alone in the room.
While Keith is now alone, he begins to eat slowly his meal before Dr. Albert returns. Knowing that it he must be prepared and nervously feared for what would come next.
