"Come on Ace, it's your hen night, enjoy it." Tegan says, handing her a drink.

"Te, you know I'm not one for parties like this."

"It's fun." Yaz says after finally being able to tell Neeka about the Doctor a week ago. "Besides, you are getting married in a week."

"A week," Ace smiles.

"You know, you haven't told anyone about your last name.''

"Graham and I have talked about, when it comes to my foundation I will keep just McShane, other places it will be hyphenated."

"Your last name will be even for Irish then."

"It will," Ace says laughing. "If my maiden name didn't hold so much wait in my professional life, I would only take Graham's."

"You really are a 21st century woman." Ace takes a sip of her drink.

''All of us are,'' Ace gets out her phone as she has received a text, ''looks like Graham isn't happy with Ryan and Dan.''

''Why?''

''They didn't listen to what he wanted and didn't want for his stag night. They did the one thing he said he didn't want. Which you ladies better have listened to it too.''

''Oh,'' they say in unison knowing what is the one thing they both didn't want.

''Don't worry about it, we didn't get any.''

''Good.'' Ace starts to enjoy herself more. ''Yaz you sure you are ok walking down the aisle with Dan and Nyssa?"

"Of course I am, why wouldn't I be."

"Good, I just wanted to ask one last time."

"Who is walking you down the aisle?"

"No one just like I wanted."

"Not even your brother?"

"Liam is going to be there, but I talked to Liam and told him that I don't need anyone to give me away. I am not some starry eyed young woman. I may have never been married before, but it is something that I never wanted from the moment I started to change my mind about being married one day. That was almost 36 years ago."

"You decided that when traveling with the Doctor?"

"Yes, Tegan I did. Before that I never thought of being married. Now let's stop talking about how everything used to be, think about my future with Graham."

Later that night Ace comes home slightly tipsy to see Graham passed out on the couch as she walks up to him. ''Hello love.''

''What?!''

''You were asleep on the couch, let's head up to our bed. I am also sleepy and a bit tipsy.''

''I was trying to wait up for you.''

''Thank you, that was sweet of you,'' they then headed upstairs for bed.
